[905.68] Jack: But I think now that the hobbies got to a certain point where
[909.6] Jack: These really good guys and you know
[911.68] Jack: You're one of them tone where you guys at every main big event you guys will we'll be able to race but people like me and jay
[919.2] Jack: Will you know left to nothing but to spectate?

[946.8] Jack: Point to raise. Yeah, and the thing is though is like, you know spectators that don't like to

[959.84] Jack: Like just general members of the public who are like very interested want to see what these things are
[965.76] Jack: capable push to their limit all the time and um

[978.8] Jack: Event, what was it the fpv?
[980.8] Jack: Formula fpv where they did kind of group us together at a skill level
[985.6] Jack: Um, that was pretty good. But you know, there was definitely a lull
[989.68] Jack: when the not so pro pilots were racing
[993.92] Jack: They should have like, you know jumbled them in between so it would be like beginners pro
[999.36] Jack: like intermediate beginners pro so that

[1004.32] Jack: You know or like switched them around a bit and like had the pros race a little bit more
[1009.28] Jack: And like made it harder for those guys
[1010.96] Jack: So they had to compete more and more because for for a long time it would take the amateurs a lot of time to set up
[1016.96] Jack: And all we did was spend our time crashing and then
[1020.24] Jack: It would be one or two of us like going around the course quite slowly, you know
[1025.12] Jack: And it needed that sort of like high paced fast pickup, you know
[1029.28] Jack: what i'm trying to say is they want people who are fast and pushing these things and
[1034.08] Jack: You know showing them to the best of their light really if you're just like a normal spectator you want to see action
[1040.8] Jack: not crashing
[1042.16] Tony: Which most of the top guys are now doing they're um, tom stanton the other tom guy

[1051.04] Tony: They're all bloody really really really really fast up and um
[1056.0] Tony: Sorry, uh gary kent as well. He's bloody fast. They're all just getting better. But I think them guys would be practicing

[1066.16] Tony: They were getting used to not being able to see i'd be anything
[1069.76] Tony: Um, but it was just absolutely terrible
[1073.68] Jack: No, I mean i'm not too bad at like
[1076.8] Jack: You know because when I first started to start the hobby we didn't have
[1080.48] Jack: Wicked receivers or anything like, you know
[1084.0] Jack: You know, we didn't really know what we were doing and you know, we got a lot of interference
[1088.56] Jack: We definitely didn't have any elc filters and stuff like that, you know that hadn't come out yet
[1093.92] Jack: You know the closest we could get to better video was using the balance lead
[1098.72] Jack: And then it would sag your center
[1101.52] Jack: um cells in your
[1104.32] Jack: in your lipos
[1106.4] Jack: But you know, I I get the whole
[1108.96] Jack: Um, you know cut out of video and I don't really i'm not that bothered by it
[1114.56] Jack: But that rotor racing that was a whole new thing
[1118.24] Jack: It was just I do think though
[1119.92] Jae: I mean racing is only one portion of this and some of the freestyle events
[1123.52] Jae: It's easier for people to get into and it's not just about how fast you can fly and precise. It's it's also what can you do?
[1129.84] Jack: Yeah more of a spectator sport. So yeah, you're right, man. I want to I i'm kind of a bit done with racing. I'm
[1138.4] Jack: Definitely thinking about freestyle. I'm trying to get my quad as light as possible or strong as possible
[1144.24] Jae: Yeah, and use the other dimension of physics rather than just forward flight
[1148.24] Jae: So that's the other aspect of this which I think is more appealing to people wanting to get into a bit
[1153.76] Jae: Threatened by the fast racers out there that yeah, it's like a bit of catching up to so oh a lot of catching up to

[1163.76] Jack: Like, you know like trying to be polite and sit there and wait for francis to do like

[1171.92] Jack: You know, I mean admittedly all
[1174.56] Jack: Really fast and really quick, but you know that guy just don't crash you crash
[1180.08] Jack: In on your first lap because you can't see what you're doing. You've got to sit there and wait for another four minutes

[1186.96] Jack: And then by the time you get out to go get your quad you've gotten where it is
[1191.68] Jack: And you didn't know where it is because you couldn't see
[1194.32] Tony: Yeah, because it was up in the netting wasn't it jack? Yes, tony

[1228.48] Jack: For when i'm annoying to chris and use that as some sort of weapon against me. I don't know

[1256.32] Jack: You know scottish man, and you know, he's kind of like bend of the robot because this guy like runs on alcohol

[1268.96] Jack: You know, we're chilling and i'm with i'm with my buddy adam and whatnot and uh, you know
[1273.92] Jack: you're in for one of these nights when um, uh

[1281.44] Jack: Oh god, what is it made in chelsea is there parting with all their friends and stuff?
[1287.12] Jack: And like being silly and turning girls on their heads
[1290.72] Jack: In handstands and taking stupid photos. So anyway, we're outside those guys are smoking. We're chatting and uh

[1302.64] Jack: A guy from made in chelsea comes over if you got a lighter one of the guys has a lighter gives her a lighter

[1312.08] Jack: You know, we're just like oh we're here for the drone shows. She goes like what's a drone?

[1318.16] Jack: You know like adam starts to explain I go the big things that hover and launch missiles and you know
[1323.84] Jack: He's like no stop doing that. It's bad for the hobby and stuff
[1327.52] Jack: And i'm like, okay, so I go

[1331.6] Jack: And and I thought it'd be quite funny to stick
[1334.3] Jack: fpv goggles
[1335.92] Jack: on a slightly drunk girl and like

[1342.72] Jack: and um when I came back and like set it up they um
[1346.88] Jack: Thomas was like taking the mic out me because she instantly disappeared as soon as I got the drone out and um
[1353.6] Jack: And and that was it. So apparently I was trying to pick up this girl with it with a drone and obviously girls are allergic to drones
[1362.64] Jack: And I got that in the neck all night for being a nerd
[1372.32] Jack: Yeah, so yeah, so i've just told everyone so yep
[1376.32] Jack: They're lucky. I didn't get my tricopter out to be honest
