[16.9] Jack: Right, we have got a load of people, we've got some fantastic guests.
[20.42] Jack: We'll start with the people that are right here, right next to me.
[23.62] Jack: To my left is Bonjour, Time Star.
[27.22] Jack: And then to my right, some of you who are long time listeners who
[31.62] Jack: might have even listened to the live pilot show will know this character, tell them who you are.
[39.06] Jack: It's me, I'm back from Enslavement, it's Nico.
[41.86] Jack: Nico Flick, the person who kept me in this hobby and joined me when I first started flying.
[48.1] Jack: And we are joined by important people on Skype.
[52.66] Jack: We are joined by the famous ex to the hover, the GoPro Hero 4 killer himself.
[62.82] Xhover: What's up guys?
[64.18] Jack: Hey, and if you hear drilling and screwdriver noises, that's him.
[67.7] Jack: He's currently building quads.
[69.7] Jack: He doesn't stop, he's got the new element out and he's selling pre-builds
[73.94] Jack: for Roto Riot to take apart.
[76.02] Jack: But you know, it's scavenged, VTX is from, but he's here.
[79.46] Jack: He spent some time out with us from the big ones, the big money, and he's enjoying us.
[84.42] Jack: Also, we have got my favourite co-host.
[88.74] Jack: Sorry, Tony.
[90.42] Jack: Oh, thanks.
[92.18] Jack: Jay.
[92.98] Jack: Okay, Jay's not here.
[94.26] Adam Juniper: He's not that great, is he?
[95.86] Adam Juniper: No, he's upset the rest of us.
[97.54] Jack: Okay, no.
[98.74] Jack: And number one of the drone book publisher.
[102.74] Adam Juniper: Me, Adam Juniper.
[104.26] Adam Juniper: And, excitingly, I'm holding a copy of my next book.
[107.94] Jack: And last but not least, very important, he will join us after next week's show with
[113.3] Jack: Painless 360.
[114.26] Jack: I'll talk about that more later.
[116.74] Jack: Supported by Liftoff and teaching you how to fly rate mode with the use of simulator.
[121.14] Jack: Jack.
[122.5] JackFPV: Hey, how's it guys?
[123.54] Jack: Yeah, how's it going?
[124.66] Jack: Do you want to tell them about your website?
[126.98] JackFPV: Yeah, sure.
[127.54] JackFPV: I mean, it's basically just a YouTube channel where I make how to fly videos.
[132.58] JackFPV: And right now, it's still for beginners.
[135.3] JackFPV: I only just started out of it recently, and it's been doing pretty well.
[139.06] JackFPV: The feedback I've been getting is pretty great.
[140.74] JackFPV: So, thank you guys so much.
[141.86] JackFPV: Whoever has been checking it out, and then planning some really cool videos in the upcoming
[146.74] JackFPV: days.
[147.54] JackFPV: You know, some more advanced things like racing and freestyle.
[151.14] JackFPV: And if you just want to get into that and you're still new, then definitely check that out.
[155.22] JackFPV: And then also, I just want to give a massive shout out to some of the sponsors that came on
[159.22] JackFPV: board.
[159.86] JackFPV: They saw the opportunity in this.
[162.34] JackFPV: And then also, I got Cobra Motor supporting me, which is pretty awesome.
[168.1] JackFPV: And then also today, I got to deal with Fat Shock.
[170.9] JackFPV: So, just a big shout out to those guys.
[173.62] JackFPV: And yeah, that's about it.
[175.46] Jack: Yeah, hopefully, XHOB will hook you up with an element, and that will change your game.
[181.14] Jack: That would be sweet.
[182.02] JackFPV: But I mean, the biggest, biggest shout out though, needs definitely need to go to my
[187.14] JackFPV: biggest sponsor, which is LiftRC.
[189.78] JackFPV: And I mean, these guys, they're the ones that sent me the quote to start out with.
[193.3] JackFPV: And especially the guy that's running the whole thing, Josh Heywood.
[196.58] JackFPV: He got me into drones, and he basically taught me everything that I need to know.
[202.02] JackFPV: I mean, two months ago, I knew nothing about this hobby.
[204.9] JackFPV: And he went out of his way to really, really just teach me everything I need to know.
[208.58] JackFPV: So, massive shout out to him as well.
[210.5] JackFPV: Definitely go check out LiftRC.
[212.42] Jack: Yeah, there's a few people that fly.
[214.58] Jack: There's the Canadian guy who's done the flipping under the bridge.
[217.46] Jack: That was pretty cool.
[218.26] Jack: Nice.
[218.82] Jack: Yeah, that's Matty.
[219.94] JackFPV: He flies the new Race X frame, which is currently on pre-order, which is amazing.
[226.26] JackFPV: It's a 186 millimeter size frame.
[228.98] JackFPV: And it's running five inch props on Cobra 2204, 2300 kV motors.
[234.34] JackFPV: And it's just an amazing frame as well.
[236.9] Jack: So, Daniel, how are you doing and what you've been up to?
[240.34] Xhover: I'm doing great, man.
[241.3] Xhover: Just staying busy and trying to get as much flight as possible.
[246.02] Xhover: Just having fun, man.
[247.3] Xhover: Really enjoying this hobby and trying to help as many people as I can and get into it.
[252.1] Jack: Yeah, I first ran into your videos like ages and ages ago.
[255.14] Jack: And I'm the jerk off that sends you like hate mail.
[259.94] Jack: So, do you know the person who was like, write the tracks in your description?
[264.66] Jack: You know that guy?
[265.7] Jack: That's me.
[266.9] Jack: So, like, so if you want to tell me to F off.
[269.38] Jack: So, we're apologizing now.
[271.14] Jack: I'm not apologizing today.
[272.74] Jack: He had really good music.
[274.58] Jack: And I was like, what is this?
[276.02] Jack: And he's like, I'll have a look at my computer.
[278.34] Jack: Never did.
[279.3] Jack: I'm the guy who had to rip his audio of the tracks and then put my email address in the comments.
[286.66] Jack: People would then email me and then I would send them the music.
[290.74] Jack: So, like, when I then discovered what the tracks were called,
[294.9] Jack: I then had to send out this bulk.
[296.66] Jack: I've got a group called X hover music in my email and it just forwards out the track names.
[303.14] Jack: And then those guys are like, hey, thank you.
[305.22] Jack: I might even go into my email now.
[306.98] Jack: I know John.
[307.78] Jack: John's one of them.
[309.14] Jack: Like, I actually talk to the people who like your flying X hover.
[312.82] Jack: And yeah.
[313.7] Jack: So, there's like a little group of us on my email dedicated to his music.
[319.7] Jack: He gets some good tracks, man.
[321.14] Jack: Where do you find your music?
[323.06] Xhover: You know, that's the hardest thing, man.
[324.58] Xhover: Flying is easy.
[325.54] Xhover: Finding the music is probably the hardest thing I have to do.
[328.82] Xhover: But I don't know.
[330.1] Xhover: I just kind of look around.
[331.62] Xhover: I'm at the shop all day.
[332.82] Xhover: So, I just leave YouTube playing.
[334.18] Xhover: And when I hear something cool, I just save it.
[337.14] Xhover: And then I got to try to find the music, too.
[339.06] Xhover: So, I'm the jerk leaving comments and videos.
[341.54] Xhover: Like, what is this song called?
[342.9] Jack: Oh, yeah.
[343.38] Jack: Oh, the shoes on the other foot.
[346.18] Jack: Yes.
[347.38] Jack: Revenge.
[348.1] Jack: Sweet revenge.
[349.62] Jack: Dan, it sounds like you've got the right idea, though.
[351.54] Jack: It sounds like you've got an industrial shop.
[354.18] Xhover: Yeah.
[354.66] Xhover: Yeah.
[355.14] Xhover: I used to be in my garage at home and it just got too small.
[358.34] Xhover: And then a year later, we just got a little warehouse.
[362.82] Xhover: Just to do builds and keep everything in stock.
[366.74] Xhover: That would be more room.
[367.86] Jack: When did you notice this taking off for you?
[370.82] Jack: How did you get into...
[373.46] Jack: How did you start the hobby?
[374.82] Jack: And then how have you ended up making designing frames?
[377.86] Jack: Because apparently, your frames are super tough.
[381.22] Xhover: Yeah.
[381.7] Xhover: I mean, I started flying, I don't know, like seven years ago.
[385.86] Xhover: I got my first quadcopter.
[388.58] Xhover: Back there, they weren't called drones or whatever.
[390.58] Xhover: But it was just like a little cheap foam quadcopter.
[393.22] Xhover: And I tried to fly it and it wouldn't take off the ground.
[396.34] Xhover: So I kind of scrapped that.
[398.26] Xhover: And then I was looking on YouTube and everywhere.
[400.82] Xhover: And they were so expensive back then, man.
[402.66] Xhover: Something simple was over two grand.
[405.78] Xhover: Wow, man.
[407.78] Jack: He was...
[409.22] Jack: He's like a...
[410.1] Jack: He's a fully 450 kind of guy.
[413.3] Jack: Yeah, like he's so old school.
[416.1] Jack: Honestly, like I was watching his videos
[418.18] Jack: and I had no idea what the hell was going on.
[420.18] Jack: I was like...
[421.22] Jack: And the smooth flying around like a baseball diamond.
[424.98] Jack: And he was like so fast.
[427.3] Jack: Unbelievable.
[428.58] Jack: I mean, I've watched that Killing the GoPro Hero 4 episode so many times, man.
[434.9] Jack: That was awesome.
[436.5] Jack: And the one with the machinist in it,
[440.42] Jack: he's just ripping around this giant diamond constantly.
[445.3] Jack: And it's just...
[447.14] Jack: You've got a smooth style about you, man.
[449.46] Jack: You're very sort of...
[450.5] Jack: I don't know whether you flew like fixed swing before,
[452.82] Jack: but you're very...
[454.66] Jack: You know, I just...
[456.18] Jack: Fluid.
[456.66] Jack: Yeah.
[457.14] Jack: Yeah, he is.
[457.78] Jack: He's smooth.
[458.34] Jack: He's none of this jerky.
[459.46] Tony: Yeah, so I like to fly or try.
[461.78] Jack: Yeah, he is good.
[464.66] Jack: Jack, how did you start?
[466.58] JackFPV: After early December,
[469.62] JackFPV: I used to do a lot of gaming YouTube videos
[472.42] JackFPV: and I had a big passion for gaming.
[474.66] JackFPV: And then I found this video in my...
[477.86] Jack: Who's calibrating you?
[479.94] Jack: I'm hearing that, too.
[484.82] Jack: No, carry on.
[486.66] JackFPV: I found this video in my Facebook news feed
[489.54] JackFPV: of this guy flying this little thing called a mini quad.
[493.94] JackFPV: And I had no idea what it was or what it did.
[496.34] JackFPV: And a few seconds later,
[497.94] JackFPV: he's flipping the thing all over the place
[499.86] JackFPV: and he's flying through little gaps.
[501.86] JackFPV: And it turned out to be Schizo with his run at the S3 Expo.
[505.78] JackFPV: No way.
[506.98] JackFPV: When I saw it, I was just blown away.
[509.14] JackFPV: I mean, I've never seen anything like it.
[511.46] JackFPV: And it just straight from there on,
[514.1] JackFPV: I mean, I just realized this is what I really want to get into
[516.9] JackFPV: and see what I can do with it.
[518.02] JackFPV: So then that day I decided,
[519.94] JackFPV: well, you know, stuff gaming.
[521.7] JackFPV: I still love gaming, but I don't game at all anymore.
[523.94] JackFPV: I just fly drones now.
[526.1] JackFPV: So I decided, you know, stuff gaming.
[527.54] JackFPV: Let's give this thing a go.
[530.1] JackFPV: I reached out to a few guys and told them their whole idea.
[533.86] JackFPV: I want to start a series of YouTube videos, you know.
[539.14] JackFPV: And nobody really wanted to support me at first
[542.74] JackFPV: because, you know, who am I?
[543.86] JackFPV: I'm just this random guy approaching them.
[546.58] JackFPV: Like, I must first prove it.
[548.26] JackFPV: And then so I downloaded the liftoff FPV simulator.
[551.78] JackFPV: And then that's where it all started.
[553.62] JackFPV: You know, I'm up to date.
[555.7] JackFPV: I think I have about 180 hours on the simulator now.
[558.98] JackFPV: But I played the simulator day in, day out.
[562.26] JackFPV: It was just like gaming for me.
[564.82] JackFPV: I loved it.
[565.78] JackFPV: And then I started making videos, you know.
[568.66] JackFPV: And I saw that, you know, these videos are getting
[570.34] JackFPV: quite some traction and getting really good feedback
[572.82] JackFPV: on the how-to videos.
[574.34] JackFPV: And so I made a few videos like that.
[576.66] JackFPV: And I approached Liftoff RC.
[580.42] JackFPV: And the guys on there were so excited.
[582.5] JackFPV: You know, they saw my previous gaming videos
[584.9] JackFPV: and they kind of liked it.
[586.34] JackFPV: And they said, well, hey, let's hook you up
[587.94] JackFPV: with a whole setup, you know.
[589.62] JackFPV: Let's get this ball rolling.
[591.14] JackFPV: And then, yeah, they sent me quite a few things
[593.94] JackFPV: to get me in the air.
[594.98] JackFPV: And then that's where it started.
[596.26] JackFPV: So the big problem was though,
[599.38] JackFPV: I wanted to be able to fly before Christmas.
[601.86] JackFPV: But then because I live in South Africa,
[605.46] JackFPV: our postage system isn't the best in the world.
[607.78] JackFPV: So I had to wait about 12 days
[611.54] JackFPV: just while my package was in customs.
[614.34] JackFPV: So it was in the country.
[615.46] JackFPV: But then I had to wait 12 days to get it.
[617.3] JackFPV: And I only ended up getting my parcel.
[619.46] Jack: Were they like, what is this?
[621.3] Jack: Is this a weapon?
[622.18] JackFPV: I'll bet that was a long 12 days.
[625.06] JackFPV: They sent me a message saying,
[627.62] JackFPV: well, we're thinking that you're trying
[629.14] JackFPV: to transport gun parts.
[630.66] JackFPV: And I couldn't understand it.
[632.34] JackFPV: I mean, these aren't gun parts.
[634.02] JackFPV: They're a bunch of drone parts.
[636.02] JackFPV: I mean, how do you mistake that?
[637.3] JackFPV: And then I had to send them proof of,
[638.9] JackFPV: you know, this is what's in the parcel.
[640.9] JackFPV: You guys can open it if you want to.
[642.98] JackFPV: And so it was a big,
[645.38] JackFPV: it was just such a mission to get this stuff.
[647.3] JackFPV: You know, and I mean, it's the first drone.
[649.7] JackFPV: You're so excited.
[650.66] JackFPV: You just want to get out there and flying.
[652.42] JackFPV: And every day was just, oh, another day.
[654.66] JackFPV: And it didn't happen today.
[655.78] JackFPV: And then another day and it didn't happen.
[657.46] JackFPV: And then at the end of the day,
[658.42] JackFPV: finally got it.
[659.54] JackFPV: And then, I mean, right now,
[661.14] JackFPV: I've only been flying actual drones
[663.46] JackFPV: for about a month.
[664.5] Jack: And it's impressive.
[666.1] Jack: You go on is,
[667.54] Jack: I want to see.
[668.18] Jack: Yeah, it's proper.
[671.22] Jack: The link's in the thing.
[672.26] JackFPV: My first flight was a real drone.
[676.74] JackFPV: And that was when I had 100 hours on liftoff.
[679.62] JackFPV: And then, I mean, a lot of guys don't believe me.
[681.94] JackFPV: They say there's no way you've flown
[683.54] JackFPV: at least like four months already.
[686.5] JackFPV: And I'm honest, the first four batteries
[690.58] JackFPV: was just a fluid line of sight
[692.9] JackFPV: just to see that the thing flies
[694.58] JackFPV: and just to get a feel for it.
[696.02] JackFPV: Then after so many things were wrong,
[698.58] JackFPV: I didn't know I could adjust the contrast
[701.3] JackFPV: and the brightness on my fat shocks.
[703.94] JackFPV: And it was just black.
[705.94] JackFPV: It was honestly just black.
[707.14] JackFPV: I couldn't see anything.
[708.66] JackFPV: And then so eventually,
[709.78] JackFPV: well, just told me,
[710.74] JackFPV: well, dude, I think you need to adjust the brightness.
[713.22] JackFPV: And then I got that.
[714.34] JackFPV: What brightness?
[715.94] JackFPV: And then, so then I flew eight batteries or nine.
[719.22] JackFPV: I'm not sure.
[719.94] JackFPV: But none of them were legitimate.
[722.02] JackFPV: There was always something wrong.
[723.7] JackFPV: The one time I think motor stop was on
[725.54] JackFPV: and then the quad just fell out of the sky
[727.54] JackFPV: and I broke stuff
[728.34] JackFPV: and I had to fix it again.
[729.38] JackFPV: So none of those flights were actually legitimate.
[732.18] JackFPV: And then finally, when everything was working,
[735.06] JackFPV: how I would imagine it to work,
[736.66] JackFPV: I took it out and I made a video out of that.
[738.5] JackFPV: So that's also on my YouTube channel
[739.7] JackFPV: if you guys want to check that out.
[741.46] JackFPV: And then I mean, from there,
[743.38] JackFPV: I've just been practicing all day, every day.
[746.42] JackFPV: I do work as a freelance graphic designer.
[751.14] JackFPV: Can we have some artwork?
[753.94] Jack: Pleased for the love of God.
[755.62] Jack: If you want to do our website,
[758.42] Jack: you can be on the show all the time.
[760.1] Jack: I swear to God.
[761.46] JackFPV: We can talk about it on the show.
[763.86] JackFPV: At the moment, I'm just flying as much as I can
[766.02] JackFPV: and making videos as much as I can.
[767.46] Jack: We'll pay you in parts.
[771.86] Jack: We'll write not gun parts on the custom machines.
[776.66] Adam Juniper: I'm not sure I'm writing not gun parts.
[779.38] Adam Juniper: Honest is the right solution.
[781.78] Jack: I love how busy Daniel is.
[783.62] Jack: You can just hear Xharva just making...
[786.18] Tony: Making money in one of these chains.
[787.94] Xhover: I'm really sorry, guys.
[789.06] Tony: No, it's fine, man.
[791.14] Jack: It's so nice to have you on.
[793.78] Jack: What are you up to lately?
[795.14] Jack: What's going on?
[795.78] Jack: What's up next?
[798.42] Jack: What's going down for you?
[802.26] Jack: You must have some things lined up.
[805.22] Xhover: Yeah, no, nothing.
[806.5] Xhover: I mean, just MXP 200 was the newest thing.
[810.58] Xhover: And then the element.
[811.78] Xhover: Those are pretty much it for right now.
[813.46] Xhover: And they're like a micro quad we're working on,
[816.66] Xhover: but that's it.
[818.5] Jack: Non-disclosure.
[820.1] Jack: NDA.
[821.94] Jack: That's it.
[822.42] Jack: He's breaking in his own NDA.
[825.54] Jack: I can't remember what I saw you on recently.
[828.42] Jack: You appeared on someone else's video
[830.02] Jack: or someone mentioned you,
[831.86] Jack: and I can't remember what's the last time I've seen you.
[836.34] Xhover: I'm not too sure.
[838.26] Jack: Yeah, because you were at...
[839.86] Jack: Were you at the freestyle event as well
[844.18] Jack: with like skit-toe and all those guys?
[846.58] Xhover: Oh, yeah, yeah, I was there, yeah.
[848.58] Jack: Yeah, I remember seeing you there.
[850.74] Jack: And yeah, how did you do in that?
[852.5] Jack: How did it go?
[854.1] Xhover: Oh, man, it was weird.
[856.82] Xhover: The first round, I qualified for like the top nine, I think.
[859.62] Xhover: And I was surprised I even did that.
[861.86] Xhover: So then it's like...
[862.5] Jack: You've been flying for ages, man.
[863.94] Jack: You're like Yoda.
[866.82] Xhover: No, man.
[867.3] Xhover: So my quad is flying perfect.
[869.14] Xhover: And then it's like perfect, no problems.
[872.42] Xhover: I flew it before I had to go up again.
[875.06] Xhover: And for some reason,
[877.78] Xhover: my quad was just not working at all.
[880.1] Xhover: At all.
[880.5] Xhover: So I didn't even get to fly the final competition.
[884.18] Jack: It sounds like Chad had something to do with that.
[886.66] Jack: He didn't get like ketchup in it or something.
[889.22] Jack: You know what he's like?
[890.02] Xhover: No, no, it was pretty funny though
[892.66] Xhover: when skit-toe crash and Chad changed the props,
[896.74] Xhover: he put the wrong reverse prop on skit-toe's quads.
[899.3] Jack: Yeah, those two, man.
[902.02] Tony: Oh, nice one, that one.
[903.38] Tony: Yeah.
[904.26] Xhover: I'm sure you didn't do it on purpose,
[905.54] Xhover: but it was just like in the moment,
[907.3] Xhover: everybody was on a rush and everything like that.
[910.5] Jack: There was some crazy flying there.
[913.94] Jack: Actually crazy.
[915.14] Jack: We'll probably see Jack there not too soon.
[918.18] Jack: You know, traveling up from South Africa, flying around.
[922.26] Xhover: That would be pretty sweet.
[924.1] Jack: Yeah.
[925.54] Jack: Nothing amuses me more.
[927.06] Jack: Guys, if you're ever...
[928.26] Jack: If there's nothing to watch in the quad,
[930.5] Jack: you know, quad world on YouTube and stuff,
[932.66] Jack: just have a look at Jack's comments.
[934.5] Jack: There's loads of people that used to follow him
[936.5] Jack: for playing Call of Duty, Black Ops,
[939.22] Jack: or some, you know, shoot people.
[940.9] Jack: I don't know how you can play that game.
[942.18] Jack: I can't stand it.
[944.9] Jack: Sorry, I just...
[946.58] Jack: None of that stuff.
[947.62] Jack: But you can just see,
[951.62] Jack: but her fans and followers just be like,
[954.5] Jack: go back to Call of Duty.
[956.02] Jack: And he's like, no way.
[957.3] Jack: He's got the F.E.T.
[958.42] Tony: He's so funny.
[961.78] Tony: I'm going to check his channel out.
[963.14] Jack: He's so funny.
[964.1] Jack: There's one guy like, go back to Call of Duty.
[967.14] Jack: I'm unsubscribing forever.
[969.38] Jack: Oh, bye.
[972.58] JackFPV: That sucks though, is a lot of those guys,
[975.06] JackFPV: just whenever I upload a new video,
[976.82] JackFPV: they immediately dislike it.
[978.02] JackFPV: They haven't even watched it.
[978.98] JackFPV: But I mean, that's fine.
[981.78] JackFPV: Just unsubscribe if you already, you know.
[983.7] JackFPV: Don't go and do things like that.
[986.9] Adam Juniper: They used to say, never read the bottom half of the internet.
[989.86] Adam Juniper: That was when YouTube was just filled with lols or you are gay.
[994.9] Adam Juniper: There's some quite sophisticated remarks on here.
[1000.58] Jack: There is, yeah.
[1001.3] Jack: I just...
[1001.78] Adam Juniper: Some people have written in whole sentences
[1004.66] Adam Juniper: with punctuation and everything.
[1006.34] Jack: No.
[1006.82] (Editor): On fly videos, is it just,
[1008.34] (Editor): do you even fly rape mode?
[1010.02] Jack: Do you fly rape, mate?
[1011.62] Jack: That's what it is.
[1012.5] Jack: I need to print a shirt of that.
[1013.86] Adam Juniper: You're flying in angle mode, are you?
[1015.86] Adam Juniper: What are your PIDs?
[1016.58] Adam Juniper: What are your PIDs?
[1017.38] Jack: Oh, no.
[1018.34] Jack: Don't Joshua's listing.
[1019.78] Jack: He's going to go...
[1021.38] Jack: I just wanted to ask Jack.
[1023.54] Jack: This is Jay, this is.
[1025.22] Jack: I wanted to say to Jack that I love his approach to get simulators.
[1031.86] Jack: I was from an old school treat, but I like it.
[1037.78] Jack: It really is a Bolsa model you took months to build.
[1041.7] Jack: He says, don't worry about crashing.
[1045.62] Jack: What?
[1045.94] Jack: The barrier was lifted to progress.
[1051.3] Jack: Am I reading that right?
[1052.58] Jack: Or am I just a dumbass?
[1053.86] Jack: That just sounded wrong.
[1054.66] Jack: That did sound a bit.
[1055.94] Jack: Yeah.
[1056.18] Jack: Do you want to read it?
[1058.02] JackFPV: Hold on.
[1058.74] Jack: I just...
[1059.54] Jack: Sorry.
[1059.94] JackFPV: I was reading it with you and I read it the same.
[1062.9] JackFPV: So I think you might just have to retype it.
[1065.7] Jack: Yeah.
[1065.94] Jack: I think he's a little bit excited, Jay.
[1068.34] Jack: He's like, oh my God, Jack's here.
[1069.78] Jack: But...
[1070.34] Adam Juniper: I think he's saying that, you know,
[1072.34] Adam Juniper: before he accepted that you were going to have to crash things from time to time,
[1076.58] Adam Juniper: he was scared of progressing.
[1077.86] Adam Juniper: But as soon as he got past that and...
[1080.42] JackFPV: I can also definitely relate to that, you know.
[1084.58] JackFPV: I think what the simulator taught me before I went out in real life was just...
[1089.7] JackFPV: I was a little bit reckless, I would say.
[1091.78] JackFPV: Not worrying about crashing too much.
[1094.34] JackFPV: And I mean, I quickly learned that, you know, a crash costs quite a bit.
[1098.82] JackFPV: And I think the first day I broke a motor.
[1101.94] JackFPV: The second day I broke...
[1104.82] JackFPV: I think I busted a battery.
[1106.26] JackFPV: The third day I think I busted an ESC.
[1109.38] JackFPV: Then a little bit later I busted a nays.
[1112.66] JackFPV: Then after that, I think a VTX.
[1115.62] JackFPV: And this is all just in the last month.
[1118.74] Adam Juniper: It's easily done.
[1120.02] Adam Juniper: It's easily done.
[1122.98] Adam Juniper: Sorry, go on.
[1124.18] JackFPV: No, no, that's fine.
[1126.34] JackFPV: Like, the biggest thing I would say is just you need a frame that, you know,
[1129.78] JackFPV: keeps your things safe.
[1131.22] JackFPV: And I'm surprised more things don't break.
[1135.06] JackFPV: Let me just leave it at that.
[1137.14] Adam Juniper: Drones are amazing.
[1138.02] Adam Juniper: A lot of drones are amazingly resilient.
[1140.18] Adam Juniper: And I learned that this week because for the first time I did a corporate gig.
[1144.82] Adam Juniper: They built a five by 10 meter cage for me with netting.
[1149.54] Adam Juniper: All health and safety signed off.
[1151.86] Adam Juniper: And then I introduced a number of drunk executives from a major British
[1156.42] Adam Juniper: telecommunications company to drones for the first time.
[1160.98] Adam Juniper: And one thing that was just completely strange was that
[1164.74] Adam Juniper: having been in the community for so long,
[1167.62] Adam Juniper: you kind of forget that a lot of people have never even seen them, let alone had it go.
[1172.9] Tony: I know, it's crazy, isn't it?
[1174.34] Adam Juniper: And then I had two brand new Parrot Bebops and two of their new mini drones that they do,
[1182.5] Adam Juniper: which are all really good for indoors because they've all got prop guards of some kind.
[1188.74] Adam Juniper: The Rolling Spider is my favorite.
[1190.58] Adam Juniper: It's in a sort of cage.
[1192.74] Adam Juniper: They all have ultrasonic sensors, even though they're only 80 quid or 300 for the Bebops.
[1201.22] Adam Juniper: And I then gave my phone or my iPad to some lunatic and gave them a basic instruction.
[1209.06] Adam Juniper: And we had three hoops for them to try and fly through,
[1212.5] Adam Juniper: which were only about five centimeters bigger than the Bebop.
[1215.78] Adam Juniper: And a guy helping me out to fish things in and out of the cage as they got smashed up.
[1221.78] Adam Juniper: And boy, did we make a mess of some props.
[1225.38] Adam Juniper: But everyone really loves them.
[1227.3] Adam Juniper: They're really excited.
[1229.86] Adam Juniper: So I think that just getting people and getting going.
[1232.1] Adam Juniper: And I actually think that simulators are great,
[1234.5] Adam Juniper: but no one wanted to play on the simulator.
[1236.5] Adam Juniper: I had one of those set up as well.
[1238.1] Adam Juniper: Everyone wanted to make that whirring, crunching noise of prop against wood.
[1244.1] Jack: I, in the chat, my boss has said,
[1247.7] Jack: now he's going to spend half the day at work tomorrow playing S.O.S. sounds on the bloody beeper.
[1257.06] Jack: Not lucky, fam.
[1258.58] Jack: No drone is going to leave without the S.O.S. feature.
[1263.3] Jack: Now, thank you, guys.
[1264.82] Jack: I need to take a screen grab of that evidence, which your boss said something else in the in
[1271.14] Adam Juniper: the chat, didn't he?
[1272.42] Jack: Yeah, he's going to build.
[1273.54] Jack: I think he I mean, please build the soundboard.
[1276.74] Jack: No, the no, I just drive me nuts.
[1279.94] Jack: I won't show up.
[1280.98] Jack: I won't.
[1281.46] Jack: I see it.
[1281.94] Jack: I'll go work for RC.
[1285.22] Jack: Beeps.
[1285.94] Jack: It rhymes with that.
[1286.9] Jack: Yeah.
[1288.34] Jack: No, I think I think the editor is building a quite comprehensive soundboard of dumb things.
[1294.58] Jack: I say from the other podcast that we will never mention.
[1298.26] Jack: But like there's plenty, plenty of ammunition from me.
[1303.3] Jack: Yes, no.
[1305.22] Adam Juniper: When are we going to have fab on the show?
[1307.62] Jack: Soon.
[1308.1] Jack: I mean, I'm tempted to get for props.
[1310.9] Jack: I drone and radio see guys all on the same day.
[1315.54] Jack: Yeah, it's going to be a mess.
[1318.74] Jack: You just I can't wait to see that.
[1320.66] Jack: I'm just going to press.
[1321.94] Jack: I'm going to press dial on Skype and then just walk away.
[1326.42] Jack: Darren, you're a beep, beep, beep, beep.
[1329.06] Adam Juniper: Did it which is which is the best U.K.
[1331.78] Adam Juniper: distributor drone part.
[1332.9] Tony: I see you in an hour.
[1335.7] Tony: I'm down the pub.
[1336.98] (Editor): There'll be so much swearing bleeped out.
[1338.5] (Editor): They all sound like a USC calibration.
[1340.5] Jack: Yeah, it sounds like the whole the whole of a day's work for Daniel X hover.
[1347.94] Jack: I'm loving the little screwdriver noises and stuff.
[1350.42] Xhover: Tell a fine ring in and all that.
[1351.86] Xhover: Yeah, I'm sorry, guys.
[1354.34] Jack: No, it's good.
[1356.9] Jack: It's nice to have you on, man.
[1358.34] Jack: Old school.
[1359.86] Jack: I just remember it's good to have you.
[1363.3] Jack: Yeah, what are you working on right now?
[1366.66] Xhover: Just doing some art builds for the element and then the 200.
[1372.18] Jack: Is the element is the element a five inch?
[1376.82] Xhover: Yeah, yeah, we have that in a five inch and then a four inch and then we'll have
[1380.26] Xhover: the six inch here pretty soon tone.
[1382.98] Jack: It might change your life.
[1384.18] Jack: You're loving X frames at the moment.
[1385.86] Jack: I'm telling you, dude.
[1387.62] Jack: After the show, we're going to have a little chat for Dan.
[1390.9] Jack: Dan just made money being here.
[1392.74] Jack: You know that we're just going to like send him a PayPal.
[1395.22] Jack: That's it.
[1396.18] Jack: So yeah, if you want to make some after sales at work, what time is it at you?
[1400.58] Jack: You know, is it lunchtime?
[1403.38] Xhover: Out here?
[1404.18] Jack: Yep.
[1404.98] Xhover: Yeah, yeah, it's lunchtime right now, but lunchtime can wait.
[1410.02] Jack: I'm it was so funny because like we were meant to have you on last week.
[1414.02] Jack: And for some reason, I gave you the Eastern Standard Time because I had no idea where
[1418.58] Jack: you lived.
[1419.54] Jack: And he came on like 11 o'clock after the show.
[1422.42] Jack: He was just like, hey, Jack, where are you?
[1424.58] Jack: Where's the show?
[1425.62] Jack: Yeah, you ready?
[1426.42] Jack: And I'm like, dude, the show was like three hours ago.
[1429.22] Jack: And he's like, ah, and I'm like, next week.
[1431.46] Jack: Yeah.
[1432.18] Jack: Where do you live?
[1433.06] Tony: So it was yours then.
[1434.98] Jack: Pacific.
[1435.62] Jack: Well, no, not really.
[1436.58] Jack: It's not my fault.
[1437.3] Jack: He didn't read emails.
[1438.66] Jack: So I just throw Dan under the bus.
[1442.66] Jack: I did say.
[1443.78] Jack: No, it's fine.
[1444.58] Jack: Honestly, Gabe says, damn, Daniel, back at it again with the MXPS.
[1451.14] Jack: X frames for the win.
[1452.5] Jack: X frames are the best.
[1454.42] Jack: I'm telling you, Fabi.
[1458.26] Tony: Fossils are going to do one thing.
[1461.14] Jack: The element, man.
[1462.02] Jack: You want to see it.
[1463.54] Jack: Post the video of you trying to smash that thing up in the chat if you want.
[1467.94] Jack: If you're not too busy, if you're not going to.
[1470.58] Tony: We're designing one.
[1471.78] Jack: Yeah.
[1474.1] Jack: Honestly, man, it's a nice.
[1475.94] Jack: The only thing is, why did you go for the double arms set up instead of each individual arms for the.
[1484.9] Xhover: I tried to eat each individual, but the center plate is 1.5 mil.
[1492.9] Xhover: If I did the individual arms, it'd have to be three mil just to support the arms and everything.
[1499.86] Xhover: It was just a lot simpler.
[1501.06] Xhover: It was either the first design was a unibody.
[1503.14] Xhover: And I really didn't want to do unibody on this frame.
[1506.5] Jack: Yeah.
[1507.3] Xhover: So that was like the best I could come up with was just the two arms into one.
[1513.82] Jack: Fair enough.
[1514.22] Jack: Yeah.
[1516.06] Jack: What's your process for designing frames and stuff?
[1519.34] Jack: Are you designing them, taking them out and then testing them and then making tweaks?
[1528.46] Jack: Or do you build a few of them, then take them out?
[1533.26] Jack: What's the design process and what are you looking?
[1538.06] Xhover: I'll start off with an idea.
[1541.34] Xhover: And then after that idea, I get into the program and start designing and then I cut them here.
[1547.18] Xhover: First, I cut them out of just regular G10 material, not carbon fiber.
[1551.5] Xhover: And then I'll just test fly it.
[1553.26] Xhover: And if it seems like it's something good, then I'll cut them out of carbon fiber.
[1557.9] Xhover: I'll cut like a batch of 20.
[1560.06] Xhover: And luckily, where I live, there's a lot of guys that fly.
[1563.34] Xhover: So I just hand them out and let them fly with them.
[1566.06] Xhover: And I tell them, just bash them and break them.
[1569.42] Xhover: And then after that, just show me pictures if you break them or whatever.
[1572.62] Xhover: And that kind of helps out a lot since I'm kind of busy and I don't get to fly as much as I would want.
[1579.5] Tony: You can always send them to here.
[1581.98] Tony: We can have a test.
[1583.74] Jack: Tony's got two modes.
[1586.7] Jack: I've given him his two modes.
[1588.7] Jack: So you'd only ever need a two-position switch for Tony.
[1592.54] Jack: Fly and destroy.
[1594.06] Jack: And that's it.
[1594.7] Jack: If anyone can shit up.
[1597.1] Tony: Unless I'm indoors.
[1598.38] Jack: Oh, you're an animal.
[1599.9] Jack: Like, honestly, I've never met anyone like it.
[1603.9] Jack: Honestly, he could break a safe.
[1605.98] Jack: Like, he's the only person I know who could just like...
[1610.14] Jack: He's not even safe in a padded cell.
[1612.7] Jack: That would probably be on fire by the end of it.
[1614.86] Tony: Oi, oi.
[1616.54] Tony: It's funny.
[1617.26] Jack: I'm just watching a few of your videos of flips over trees and that.
[1620.38] Jack: It's pretty smooth.
[1621.58] Jack: It's a shame you're not flying as much anymore.
[1625.02] Xhover: Yeah, I mean, I didn't...
[1626.94] Xhover: I don't know.
[1627.42] Xhover: I kind of like being here and working on this.
[1630.7] Xhover: I kind of still feel like I'm still flying.
[1634.22] Xhover: Just not outside, you know?
[1636.22] Xhover: I'm kind of doing something that, you know, I love to do.
[1639.42] Xhover: Just working on frames and designing and building.
[1642.38] Jack: Yeah, what's your setup at the moment?
[1645.58] Jack: Are you running the KISS ESCs and board or you...
[1651.98] Xhover: No, I am running a KISS flight controller on an element.
[1655.9] Xhover: Oh, yeah.
[1657.18] Xhover: Man, that's my favorite flight controller ever.
[1660.86] Xhover: It's just so smooth.
[1662.46] Jack: Yeah, I haven't seen the GUI of it yet, so I'm not too sure.
[1667.74] Jack: I'm after one, though, and I just want to check it out.
[1671.18] Jack: Because apparently you can change so much settings
[1673.9] Jack: and they're really configurable.
[1676.22] Xhover: Yeah, they are.
[1677.18] Xhover: I mean, out of the box, they come pretty much ready to fly.
[1680.94] Xhover: The stock settings are going to fly really good
[1683.02] Xhover: and then you can mess with it a little bit more.
[1686.46] Xhover: I don't know.
[1686.86] Xhover: The GUI is really easy.
[1688.54] Xhover: It's like a really easy GUI to tune and mess with.
[1695.18] Jack: One thing I did want to ask you was,
[1698.86] Jack: could we have a video one day of you flying with your friends
[1701.82] Jack: and stuff so that you could introduce who you are
[1706.14] Jack: and who your friends are and how you guys are flying?
[1709.98] Jack: Because a lot of your content is just your flying videos and stuff
[1715.5] Jack: and it would be nice to know more about you in a way.
[1720.7] Adam Juniper: If it would be easier to stalk you.
[1723.5] Jack: Well, no, because they've definitely got some...
[1727.5] Jack: I'm kidding, Jack.
[1728.62] Jack: Yeah, because I've...
[1729.9] Adam Juniper: It's just a little bit too defensive.
[1732.06] Jack: No, no.
[1732.78] Jack: It was like a kid's park
[1736.62] Jack: and you guys were flying through the slide and stuff like that
[1743.34] Jack: and you'd get them stuck and that was quite funny.
[1747.58] Jack: I think that was you guys.
[1749.58] Xhover: Yeah, I've been trying to work on something like that,
[1751.98] Xhover: like a vlog-type side.
[1753.42] Xhover: We've done those in the past a little bit,
[1755.34] Xhover: but I'm actually trying to do a narrated flight
[1761.5] Xhover: where the camera's on me and or even a couple of my buddies
[1765.98] Xhover: and then while I'm flying, I'm just kind of talking
[1768.06] Xhover: and I'm just going through the process of even getting to the field
[1772.86] Xhover: and checking it out and starting everything up.
[1777.42] Jack: Yeah, I think that'll be something that Jack would be good at,
[1780.54] Jack: a little let's fly, where you go out and fly and just talk over it.
[1785.18] Jack: Yeah, just...
[1787.34] Jack: Jack, are you still there or are you in a coma?
[1790.22] JackFPV: I'm still here.
[1794.54] Jack: Yeah, I feel like we left him out a bit.
[1796.3] Jack: Yeah, what's your next plans?
[1798.94] Jack: What are you working on?
[1800.22] Jack: What are you going to do after the flying series?
[1805.9] Tony: He's not.
[1806.46] Tony: He's addicted.
[1810.3] JackFPV: I mean, the flying series, I've got a lot of videos planned for.
[1813.34] JackFPV: There's about 30 or so videos
[1818.7] JackFPV: that I have planned at the moment.
[1821.58] JackFPV: They take quite a lot of time to make,
[1823.02] JackFPV: so that'll probably keep me busy at least for the next two to three months
[1827.1] JackFPV: and then thereafter, I don't know, we'll just have to see what happens.
[1832.46] Jack: You need a plan.
[1836.06] JackFPV: I'll take it as it comes, you know.
[1838.46] Tony: Cliff diving in South Africa?
[1840.78] Tony: I don't know.
[1841.34] Tony: No, definitely.
[1842.78] JackFPV: I was even thinking, I mean, South Africa has some of the most beautiful locations to form at
[1847.9] JackFPV: our rules and regulations aren't as strict as in the US.
[1853.18] JackFPV: I mean, there are still rules and you have to abide to them, unfortunately.
[1857.5] JackFPV: But if you go to some secluded places, I mean, you can do whatever it is that you want to do.
[1863.58] JackFPV: And we have a lot of areas around here with some awesome caves and great cliffs and
[1870.3] JackFPV: just some really cool places I'm planning to fly in.
[1872.46] JackFPV: Oh, that's just lovely weather all the time, son of a...
[1877.66] JackFPV: We have lovely weather.
[1878.62] JackFPV: I can fly every day, all day.
[1882.3] Tony: That's why you're good and we're all pence because it rains all the time.
[1888.3] Jack: Eksom has got lovely weather as well.
[1891.1] Tony: We need to move.
[1891.98] Jack: Yeah, he's like West Coast, isn't he?
[1895.02] Xhover: Yeah, it's always nice.
[1896.22] Xhover: But the weather out here is a little weird.
[1898.22] Xhover: One day it can be freezing.
[1899.42] Xhover: The other day it can be nice and sunny.
[1901.5] Jack: When he says freezing, it's like, yeah, we'll be dying.
[1906.14] Tony: It was minus six when I woke up this morning.
[1910.78] Jack: He doesn't even know what that is.
[1912.3] Jack: He's got no idea.
[1913.26] Tony: Yeah, he doesn't go down.
[1914.3] Jack: Minus, what?
[1915.34] Jack: What's the line about it?
[1916.86] Jack: Is it a link?
[1917.58] Jack: Can I click on it?
[1919.66] Adam Juniper: It's getting longer, boy.
[1920.86] Adam Juniper: There's a little bit of hope though.
[1922.22] Adam Juniper: Have you not seen...
[1923.1] Adam Juniper: I've seen when I've been leaving work that the sky is not black anymore.
[1925.74] Adam Juniper: Yeah, I know.
[1926.54] Tony: It's nice.
[1928.46] Tony: Can't wait to just do some summer flying.
[1931.18] JackFPV: One thing we do have here though is wind.
[1934.3] JackFPV: So we'll have a lot of days that are quite windy.
[1937.42] JackFPV: And then it's so bad that you just can't fly.
[1939.5] JackFPV: I mean, it's...
[1940.14] JackFPV: No, we have that too.
[1941.02] JackFPV: Try harder.
[1941.74] Tony: We have wind, rain, everything.
[1943.58] Tony: Yeah, we have wind and the rain all at the same time.
[1949.02] Adam Juniper: And they have another kind of wind in the studio.
[1952.94] Jack: I mean, why on earth, Dan, are you like building when you could be out flying?
[1960.46] Jack: But I know, it's very therapeutic though to build a quad.
[1963.74] Xhover: Yeah, I mean, well, I got to pay the bills too, so...
[1967.1] Jack: Yeah, make the big ones, big women, big props, big elements.
[1973.42] Tony: Why not small women, Jack?
[1975.26] Jack: I don't know.
[1977.34] Jack: Haven't it large?
[1978.78] Adam Juniper: Sorry, I want to call Jack on the preference there for big women.
[1982.06] Tony: Yeah.
[1982.54] Jack: Yeah, I don't know, am I right?
[1984.62] Tony: I think that's just him.
[1986.06] Jack: I'm just trying to make good sound bites for my boss,
[1989.42] Jack: who's going to talk to me.
[1991.5] Jack: Ex-fossils.
[1993.1] Jack: Sorry, Kev.
[1994.14] Jack: Yep, tease Jack.
[1995.98] Adam Juniper: You're still there, Fab.
[1996.78] Adam Juniper: You're still recording this.
[1998.06] Jack: Yeah.
[2000.86] Jack: Jack, Tony.
[2003.5] Jack: What up?
[2004.7] Jack: The wind.
[2006.3] Jack: Who's that?
[2008.78] Jack: Leo Whitfield.
[2010.94] Adam Juniper: If we all get together and swear hard enough at the wind,
[2013.18] Adam Juniper: it will calm down.
[2014.78] Jack: Calm down, dear.
[2017.82] Jack: It's going on the record.
[2019.5] Jack: Lil Fab, what's up?
[2022.22] Jack: Yeah, I really want to do...
[2023.98] Jack: Jack out the element and stuff.
[2026.22] Jack: It's going to be...
[2027.74] Jack: Jack, are you up for coming on again and having a full-on nerd fest
[2032.94] Jack: with the whole newbies and that?
[2034.3] Jack: Because, Niko, you're just starting flying again.
[2038.3] Jack: Yeah.
[2039.02] Jack: You were...
[2039.74] Jack: Tell them what you were flying.
[2042.46] (Editor): What do you mean?
[2043.74] (Editor): Well...
[2043.98] (Editor): Initially or what I last flew?
[2047.02] Jack: Yeah, what size is the tricopter anyway?
[2050.94] Jack: It's like a 4...
[2054.14] Jack: I don't know, 450 maybe? 350 at the most?
[2057.74] Jack: Yeah.
[2058.54] Jack: I don't know, something like that.
[2059.98] Jack: But swings nine-inch props and that.
[2061.82] Jack: You were...
[2063.26] Jack: You're old school like me.
[2064.7] (Editor): Yeah.
[2065.18] (Editor): I'm thinking about getting a 4S though and really racking it up.
[2069.18] Jack: Yeah.
[2069.74] Tony: Leo's in the chat.
[2070.86] Tony: He's got an element, he says.
[2072.94] Jack: Is he?
[2073.42] Tony: Yep.
[2074.86] Tony: What?
[2075.18] Tony: Where's your video, Leo?
[2076.86] Jack: Yeah.
[2077.82] Jack: Prove it.
[2078.3] Tony: Tag it in.
[2079.34] Jack: Yeah.
[2080.38] Jack: And only...
[2081.26] Jack: Tell us if you know what an MX...
[2083.34] Jack: What is it?
[2083.82] Jack: The MXP?
[2086.14] Jack: 300.
[2087.18] Jack: Do you even know what that is?
[2088.86] Jack: Do you fly right, mate?
[2090.38] Jack: The MXP?
[2093.34] Jack: Yeah, what happened to that?
[2094.3] Jack: Are you retiring it or is it still going?
[2096.94] Xhover: No, it's actually still going.
[2099.1] Xhover: Sometimes it just...
[2100.86] Xhover: Sounds like crazy.
[2102.62] Xhover: But mainly people, they want to put gimbal on it
[2106.46] Xhover: and do want to do like a slow flight and things like that.
[2108.86] Xhover: Purchase it.
[2111.18] Xhover: So it's still going strong.
[2113.26] Tony: This guy wants to ask.
[2115.02] Jack: Oh, Daniel.
[2116.86] Jack: Yeah, Daniel, anything.
[2117.98] Jack: No, we did ask him about new stuff.
[2120.62] Tony: I don't think he wants exclusive news.
[2123.02] Tony: Yeah.
[2124.46] Tony: Anything exclusive, Daniel.
[2125.98] Jack: Why do we want to put a gimbal on an MXP?
[2128.22] Jack: It's an animal.
[2129.18] Jack: Mind you, you did it though.
[2130.78] Jack: With the brushless gimbal set up about a year ago, wasn't it?
[2134.06] Tony: Yeah, that was in that really nice part.
[2136.14] Tony: I forgot.
[2136.7] Tony: Yeah.
[2137.18] Tony: Yeah, I watched that video.
[2138.14] Tony: It was good.
[2138.78] Jack: See?
[2139.1] Jack: Yeah.
[2139.82] Jack: Good old X hover.
[2141.66] Jack: It's crazy, man.
[2143.02] Jack: It's just bringing back memories, honestly.
[2147.82] Jack: How did...
[2148.86] Jack: Yeah, what was your first video of this
[2150.62] Jack: or when did you first see a quad and what were you thinking?
[2155.98] Xhover: I saw a quad.
[2156.78] Xhover: It was called, I think it was a white spy.
[2159.98] Jack: White spy?
[2161.58] Jack: No way.
[2162.22] Jack: That's from Ready to Fly Cods, man.
[2164.46] Jack: Yeah, that's his name, man.
[2166.54] Jack: He's...
[2167.1] Jack: Oh my God, multi-wee.
[2170.22] Jack: I'm sorry.
[2170.86] Jack: Yeah.
[2171.58] Adam Juniper: I've got a question.
[2172.3] Xhover: Yeah, I got that quad and...
[2174.3] Adam Juniper: Go ahead.
[2174.62] Adam Juniper: Sorry.
[2175.42] Adam Juniper: Right.
[2175.9] Adam Juniper: Just for everyone, what do their mum and dad think of their drone?
[2180.46] Adam Juniper: Because, you know, we're all relatively grown up,
[2182.14] Adam Juniper: but we still talk to our parents, right?
[2183.58] Adam Juniper: They know you fly.
[2184.86] Jack: Yeah, Tom, I'd love to know what your folks think.
[2187.98] Tony: They're thinking it's pretty cool.
[2190.3] Tony: I love all my...
[2192.14] Tony: I send them the videos that...
[2193.9] Tony: They prefer the Phantom 3 videos, obviously.
[2198.38] Tony: But I do send to you.
[2201.1] Tony: But they like all that.
[2202.06] Tony: They like going over a nice place and filming it.
[2205.74] Tony: But they do like me flying fast as well.
[2209.18] Jack: I think your granddad probably would appreciate it more
[2211.98] Jack: because he was flying the old Cortinas and that.
[2214.62] Adam Juniper: He loved it.
[2215.18] Adam Juniper: He loved it.
[2216.14] Jack: Yeah.
[2216.86] Adam Juniper: You can't fly a Cortina.
[2218.54] Jack: Well, yeah, it is, isn't it?
[2220.62] Adam Juniper: Yeah, no, I was thinking of the Ford Cortina.
[2222.38] Jack: No, no, none of that.
[2225.26] Jack: What about you?
[2227.26] Jack: Me?
[2228.3] Jack: Nico, sorry.
[2230.14] (Editor): Yeah, they think it's interesting.
[2232.46] (Editor): My tricoptera is now dubbed the Dragon at my house
[2235.42] (Editor): because my nephew can only refer to it by his dragon.
[2239.9] (Editor): Dragon?
[2240.46] (Editor): Yeah, my three-year-old nephew.
[2241.82] (Editor): You've got to change the name on your transmitter now to track.
[2245.18] Jack: The dragon.
[2246.54] Jack: The dragon.
[2248.54] Jack: What about you, seeing as you brought it up?
[2251.5] Adam Juniper: Oh, well, my dad, he liked it enough that I gave him the phantom
[2257.42] Adam Juniper: I was using when I was researching the first book,
[2260.22] Adam Juniper: which in fairness has been smashed up, as you know, Jack, a few times.
[2263.26] Jack: Yeah, that's it.
[2264.46] Tony: How can you smash a phantom up my arse?
[2266.86] Jack: Oh, man, he like, honestly.
[2269.02] Jack: Hang on, coming from Mr. Destroy?
[2270.94] Jack: Yeah, I can destroy anything.
[2272.86] Tony: Yeah, but looks like it basically flies itself.
[2276.94] Adam Juniper: It turns out, Tony, it's perfectly possible for them to just turn all their rotors off in mid-air.
[2281.9] Adam Juniper: And then if you make a really bad repair, it's dead easy to fly into a tree
[2285.66] Adam Juniper: while you're shouting at a woman in the park.
[2287.9] (Editor): And then the battery gets lodged in and you have to have a tug of war with it.
[2291.34] Jack: Oh, no, that was pretty.
[2292.86] Jack: I was like, it's broken anyway.
[2294.38] Jack: I've never known anyone to break a phantom.
[2296.94] Jack: I'm surprised you haven't broke a phantom.
[2298.78] Adam Juniper: Well, they don't crash.
[2300.86] Adam Juniper: I've also fixed a phantom, so, you know.
[2304.7] Adam Juniper: But my mum, the other thing, she's just terrified.
[2307.58] Adam Juniper: See, like, she's perfectly acknowledged that I've got all these things,
[2309.98] Adam Juniper: but she doesn't want them flown.
[2311.34] Adam Juniper: She's like, oh, no, you might crash it and that'll cost you some money.
[2316.46] Tony: Yeah, but it's okay, Mum.
[2317.98] Tony: I've got these plasters.
[2319.02] Tony: I just buy it and leave it on the side, so it looks nice.
[2322.06] Jack: Coming from Mr. 12 quadcopters.
[2324.46] Jack: I want to know, Dan, how many have you got?
[2327.1] Tony: I really do need to sell some.
[2328.62] Xhover: How many quads do I have?
[2330.06] Xhover: Honestly, I have two flying right now.
[2335.9] Tony: I think it is 12 now.
[2337.18] Tony: I actually just got a 4-tex pro in my bag.
[2340.62] (Editor): Do you feel like making a donation to a new flyer?
[2345.42] Tony: I've got a hexicopter for sale.
[2348.3] Tony: Message in.
[2348.94] Tony: I say I've got it for sale.
[2350.14] Tony: I haven't even advertised it, but yeah.
[2352.38] Adam Juniper: It's fine.
[2353.58] Adam Juniper: I'm at about 12 as well, if you count a lot of the little ones.
[2356.14] Jack: Send it to...
[2358.3] Adam Juniper: I've got one, Rob.
[2360.62] Adam Juniper: What?
[2361.42] Adam Juniper: I had the rolling spider I was talking about at the corporate event.
[2366.62] Adam Juniper: Once that was too smashed to fly, I just had it on a table
[2369.98] Adam Juniper: with the Inspire and a few other things that weren't flying at the time.
[2374.54] Adam Juniper: And it just vanished before the end of the events.
[2379.18] Adam Juniper: I'm drunk.
[2379.66] Tony: Maybe return to home, Phil.
[2382.06] Jack: Yeah, I said.
[2383.34] Adam Juniper: Yeah, well, it returned to somebody else's home.
[2386.86] Jack: Do you want...
[2387.58] Jack: How many quadcopters are in here that are not built, but just general?
[2391.98] Jack: There's a tricopter, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
[2399.18] Tony: There's a vortex problem up there.
[2400.7] Jack: Yeah, 10, 11.
[2402.7] Adam Juniper: 12 quads just hanging around us.
[2406.22] Adam Juniper: Check under stuff.
[2407.26] Jack: Look, if we don't want them anymore, we'll just send them to South Africa
[2409.74] Jack: and label them as gun parts and just, like, get a jacket.
[2413.82] Adam Juniper: Get a jacket off as a terrorist.
[2417.02] Jack: Get Jack Carter away.
[2418.14] Jack: Mind you, we can't do it until after his podcast.
[2421.34] Adam Juniper: Yeah, no.
[2422.22] Adam Juniper: Jack, are you still there?
[2423.66] Adam Juniper: The government are listening.
[2425.5] JackFPV: They've already got it.
[2427.18] JackFPV: My microphone was off.
[2428.54] Jack: Oh, no worries.
[2429.58] Jack: Yeah, what do your folks think?
[2433.02] JackFPV: They love it.
[2433.58] JackFPV: I mean, they think it's pretty awesome.
[2435.74] JackFPV: We actually have our first drone regionals coming up this weekend on Sunday.
[2441.26] JackFPV: So we're going to go check that out and they're going to come along
[2443.5] JackFPV: and have a look at it too.
[2445.26] JackFPV: So, yeah, they're very supportive and they love it.
[2448.7] Tony: Excellent.
[2449.34] Jack: I'm going to send you...
[2452.06] Jack: I'll ask Big Boss and try and send you some battery straps
[2455.42] Jack: and I'll send you some stickers.
[2457.66] Tony: Big Boss.
[2458.3] Tony: Yeah, that would be great.
[2459.18] Jack: Yeah, yeah, we'll send you.
[2460.62] Tony: Boss should sell some MPX.
[2465.02] JackFPV: Yeah, I want...
[2466.06] JackFPV: You guys can send whatever you want.
[2467.34] JackFPV: I mean, I'll welcome anything.
[2468.7] Jack: Yeah, I want Dan.
[2471.9] Jack: Dan, have you got a UK supplier for your element yet?
[2476.7] Xhover: Yeah, there's a couple they're going to be getting at.
[2480.22] Xhover: There's actually one that's just opening up shops.
[2482.78] Xhover: So...
[2484.62] Xhover: Oh, man.
[2485.26] Xhover: ...that'll carry both the element and motors, yes, and everything.
[2489.18] Jack: Fabi, you're in trouble, mate.
[2491.98] Tony: Fabi could sell them for him.
[2494.62] Jack: Yeah, in the south.
[2496.62] Jack: Did I ask you what your folks thought?
[2499.82] Jack: Seeing as you're making a whole life of it.
[2503.26] Xhover: Yeah, they love it.
[2506.14] Xhover: They don't think anything out of it.
[2508.06] Xhover: And it's just the news when they watch the news,
[2511.02] Xhover: like, oh, I saw your drones and I'm like, no, it was my point.
[2513.34] Adam Juniper: No, they're not mine.
[2514.14] Adam Juniper: Yeah.
[2515.82] Adam Juniper: I think...
[2516.06] Adam Juniper: I wasn't the one, I guess, the president or whatever.
[2519.82] Jack: Yeah, I won't tell you what...
[2520.78] Jack: A scare story.
[2521.5] Jack: Yeah.
[2522.38] Jack: I don't know, man.
[2523.34] Jack: I think...
[2526.06] Jack: Like, my mum thinks it's pretty cool, you know,
[2528.94] Jack: and she's like, you could do all sorts of stuff and went out for a fly,
[2532.22] Jack: but, you know, she's not too bothered.
[2533.74] Jack: She's glad that it's really sort of improved my life
[2536.46] Jack: and I've definitely come a long way from it.
[2539.02] Jack: So...
[2539.5] Tony: I took one of them out of flight and I gave her my spare set of goggles
[2542.94] Tony: and she sat on a park bench with me and loved it.
[2545.98] Tony: Flipping over trees and stuff.
[2547.66] Tony: She was like, whoa.
[2549.34] Jack: I'd just like to thank everyone for listening to Let's Drone Out
[2553.5] Jack: 8pm till 9pm, Greenwich Mean Time.
[2558.06] Jack: I've been joined by Nico.
[2559.98] Adam Juniper: Zulu Time, if you're an American.
[2561.26] Adam Juniper: They call it Zulu Time.
[2562.3] Adam Juniper: It's the US Navy uses Zulu Time, which is GMT.
[2566.54] Jack: Yeah.
[2567.18] Jack: I didn't know that.
[2568.22] Jack: Nico.
[2569.02] (Editor): Yep, thanks, you.
[2570.86] Jack: Tony.
[2571.42] Jack: Thank you for listening.
[2572.94] Jack: Adam.
[2574.3] Jack: Thank you.
[2575.18] Jack: Ex-Hover.
[2576.7] Jack: Thank you, man.
[2578.46] Jack: Jack, FPV.
[2580.54] Jack: Thanks a ton, guys.
[2581.9] Jack: And on behalf of Jay, Chipco.
[2585.58] Jack: Sorry, we couldn't hear him, but he's one of us.
[2590.06] Tony: One of us.
[2590.86] Tony: One of us.
[2593.9] Jack: And thank you.
[2594.86] Jack: And don't forget about I-Drone and buy some stuff from those guys
[2599.98] Jack: because Neil's a good guy.
