[103.32] Tony: Yes, it was really good i've got uh taken to Greenwich

[107.8] Tony: by my parents and picked up we started we all met at the ibs hotel in Greenwich and then
[113.88] Tony: Stayed there and then at like eight o'clock in the morning got these well nice cabs
[118.92] Tony: Taken us to the xl center
[122.12] Tony: Um, and then basically had to fly for three days non-stop
[127.08] Jack: Sorry, I love that you stayed at the abyss because that makes me and um
[133.08] Jack: Me and adam think of nothing but alan partridge for the next 20 minutes
[136.7] Jack: Sorry, I was flying speedo bikes in endor forest for three days, which was pretty cool

[167.74] Tony: But the lighting was like terrible like you couldn't see anything in my video. I've just posted up. There's a bit of fpv

[176.54] Tony: From my goggles and you can see how bad the lighting was we couldn't really see anything
[180.78] Tony: So like halfway through the first day they said that's it

[186.46] Tony: Everyone's got to do line of sight and start interacting with the crowd and start talking to the crowd and
[192.7] Tony: Flying line of sight and I immediately went what I cannot fly line of sight

[227.34] Tony: So everyone could take pictures and do videos and that so it wasn't too bad

[427.87] Frank: Well, they were pretending you know with like pyrotechnics on the
[433.07] Frank: On the fields they were making it look like they were firing their rockets
[436.27] Frank: But everyone did duck like the first day everyone was like good god. What's what was that real?
[442.19] Frank: Waiting for like confirmation. Yes, that was all part of the display. Oh good. Let's carry on

[453.31] Frank: Doing the commentary between them and they managed to do the whole two days. I think without stopping talking. It was amazing

[479.47] Frank: purely to do commentary and weren't trying to take part at the same time that might have been
[485.31] Adam: A good excuse probably written some stuff down in advance thought it through we did in frank's defense

[525.95] Frank: I don't know the details but i'm pretty sure that judging by all the dji branding over everything

[536.51] Frank: Uh, so it was obviously hover speed and rotor racing had a big part in it

[542.75] Frank: Yeah, I think it's limited by the amount of sponsorship money that you can get as to how big
[548.19] Frank: Your massive towers of scaffolding and netting can go
[551.63] Frank: So it was a bit limited

[554.59] Frank: But you know, it kept everyone close

[559.31] Frank: Like there's you know, everyone's right up against the netting or up against the fencing that was a bit spaced apart from the netting
[565.79] Frank: for safety reasons obviously, but uh
[568.19] Frank: Yeah, there's like crowds of people all packed up against it all watching quads go
[573.39] Frank: Zooming around and then getting caught in the net right at the top
[576.35] Frank: And requiring rescuing with a ladder

[585.63] Frank: Clipping things and bouncing off. But yeah, they're still going really fast particularly by the end of the first day

[593.95] Frank: The speed that these guys were zooming around this track. I mean they have been practicing on

[601.07] Frank: Yeah, still by the end of that first day. They were going around really fast by the end of the second day
[606.03] Frank: I think everyone had been cooked too much
[608.91] Frank: I don't think their brains erupted to quite the same level anymore because
[613.79] Frank: You know what they said on the over the radio there was uh
[617.87] Frank: That the air temperature was 28 degrees c
[620.75] Frank: But with all the concrete on the apron, it was uh, the the concrete temperature was 50 degrees c
[627.63] Frank: And everyone's obviously like on that
[629.95] Frank: So it was a bit warm
[632.91] Adam: Oh, so it was during that the hottest day of the year sort of period yeah
[638.35] Frank: So that was a good day to be
[640.91] Frank: You know on a load of concrete

[646.75] Adam: Um, no, no last year a few years ago the hottest day of the year when like several soldiers died on maneuvers

[655.23] Adam: Yeah, um, but I reminded that because the day the soldiers died
[659.31] Adam: I was doing paintballing for a friend stag do and oh, it was terrible. We were really yeah

[678.12] Adam: How are those things to fly because with the the props underneath
[682.68] Tony: Um, they were pretty pretty good
[684.36] Tony: They uh, they were all stabilized so you could put it on a flat surface and then recalibrate the gyro
[689.4] Tony: So they're quite they're quite well stabilized. But um
[693.16] Tony: They were all prototypes really. So we were flying prototypes. Um
[698.12] Tony: And uh, they kid stories that soon they're going to be coming out this september, I believe

[707.4] Tony: bits, I think i'll register to
[710.28] Tony: Have them but if there's some kind of deal where you can buy

[717.8] Tony: And then that number is specific to you and you can sell that number if there's a bidder who really wants it

[780.76] Adam: Because they do with the tesla as well, you know, they got everyone spend a thousand dollars to book their tesla model three

[790.76] Adam: But when they come back later and say we need the other thirty thousand dollars or whatever that's
[796.04] Adam: Not everyone's going to have it. Are they so they're just going to get to keep some of those thousand dollars. Yes deposit money, isn't it?

[807.32] Jack: The other day they had a pilot to death. Yeah
[811.08] Tony: Which which why do people sit in there watching stuff on their telly on the way you're not meant to?
[817.8] Tony: I know then they're just hoping that technology is going to work
[821.96] Tony: And they're ending up in the back of an ambulance
[825.72] Jack: Well that that's ethics for you, isn't it because you're essentially letting the car decide whether it'll kill you or someone else

[834.84] Jack: See the tailgate. Yeah, it was the tailgate and the sky were the same color or something trailer. Yeah

[853.08] Frank: I did see the uh, there was a guy wandering around who I think you might have bumped into before
[860.12] Frank: At the uk drone show. I think I remember he's talking about him. He's uh, I can't remember his name though
[866.52] Frank: It's really bad. He's a guy who designed
[869.96] Frank: uh a lot of the spectrum transmitters

[874.6] Frank: some of them that you know originally went on retail price for like
[879.96] Frank: A couple of hundred quids, but then now people have loved them so much amongst the the general rc community
[886.04] Frank: They're now selling way above that they've actually appreciated rather than depreciated. He's the guy who designed those

[895.4] Frank: He is moved on from spectrum to design new things and what he is designing at the moment is tiny tiny tiny
[903.86] Frank: adsb transceivers
[905.72] Frank: So what an adsb transceiver is is the uh little?
[910.76] Frank: kind of beacon that is on um
[914.12] Frank: commercial
[915.48] Frank: aircraft and
[917.64] Frank: Uh, even some military aircraft when they're in civilian airspace to say i'm here

[927.64] Frank: Exactly and also it receives so it finds out if there's anyone within a like 100 mile radius or something like that

[937.24] Frank: Yeah, and then tells you where they are
[940.84] Frank: So he has he had one on him and
[945.08] Frank: It is extremely tiny. It's like
[948.18] Frank: vtx kind of size
[950.36] Frank: But I mean like this more the vtx. It's not like a big old one like
[954.68] Frank: like a proper one

[958.44] Frank: if you think about
[961.72] Frank: X4r size, okay
[964.76] Frank: Um, it's that kind of size. It's uh about 20 grams

[980.2] Frank: 30 volts or something and it can take uh, it only takes like
[986.18] Frank: 500 milliwatts. So
