[0.66] Mr Steele: Let's drone out
[6.66] Mr Steele: So I'm trying I mean I'm trying to
[11.22] Mr Steele: Meet as many people as possible in a realistic way, which I think I haven't really figured it out yet
[17.36] Mr Steele: How I'm gonna do it
[18.18] Mr Steele: but I know that I'm eventually going to get to where I
[21.22] Mr Steele: Meet people online because I don't know if you guys saw the video that I posted I wrote a riot that said like visit me
[26.54] Mr Steele: now or whatever so
[29.9] Mr Steele: Well, yeah, so essentially I just good over here
[33.12] Jae: we had I mean, there's the International drone day which is initially set up by David anneal and
[37.88] Jae: It's interesting how much it brought community that was local together
[41.48] Jae: It's in the you know, it five years ago. It was much less common than it is today
[46.92] Jae: And it was quite interesting how the community even in local areas starts to form based on the passion of flying mostly
[54.48] Jae: multi-rotor stuff
[56.56] Jae: So it's quite interesting how the communities have developed over the last few years for that sort of stuff
[60.88] Jae: That's um, I mean in the south there's a dedicated flying park and stuff
[63.8] Jae: So this is quite interesting developments in England of what's happening. We've always been a bit more
[68.88] Jae: On the commercial drone side of things. It's always been a bit more lax and sensible
[76.2] Jae: Well, we're looking to maybe get some flights over so we might be able to help you in your adventure
[80.84] Jae: So set up a crown of thunder. Yeah, I mean I wouldn't pay for your tickets if nothing else you could choose where you go
[86.28] Mr Steele: That would help so like I didn't even think about that in the beginning because I kind of the whole thing is as I originally I
[93.4] Mr Steele: Have an idea of what I want to do and I'm trying to figure out my affiliation with Rotor right because everybody right now
[99.52] Mr Steele: Thinks that I like get paid by Rotor right and I like have all this free time and I just sit around and I go
[105.28] Mr Steele: Fly and that's like all I do
[107.16] Mr Steele: In reality, I don't get paid and I've never gotten paid from Rotor right
[111.48] Mr Steele: The only thing they pay me in is essentially travel costs my food and lodge when I go places
[116.88] Mr Steele: And if I need a piece of gear, which I've never needed at all other than like one hat and two shirts or something
[123.2] Mr Steele: I mean, that's essentially what I'm getting out of it and I'm promoting the website
[128.64] Mr Steele: I'm promoting everything that they do. I'm promoting this lifestyle that they're putting on which is an extension of what I'm
[135.4] Mr Steele: Doing anyways in the in the hope that in the future
[139.48] Mr Steele: That I will be able to have a sustainable income based on doing something with Rotor right and now
[145.24] Mr Steele: like it's a little different for me because I am I mean Chad Chad wants everyone to do what they want to do and
[153.44] Mr Steele: And make money at it and I'm a weird scenario because I can't do nine to five jobs. I've tried them
[161.16] Mr Steele: I've done nine to five jobs before and I think the longest one I've ever had
[165.6] Mr Steele: that wasn't at a hobby shop was like six months and
[169.84] Mr Steele: it was like the most grueling six months of my life and
[175.12] Mr Steele: Pretty much every other situation involving me and money is
[179.84] Mr Steele: I'm all about like what makes me happy
[182.84] Mr Steele: It doesn't matter if it makes me a lot of money if I do it and I enjoy it and I make a hundred bucks
[187.88] Mr Steele: Or I do it and I enjoy it and I don't have to come out of pocket
[191.04] Mr Steele: Then it's like that's more enjoyable to me than going and robbing somebody or promoting a product
[196.6] Mr Steele: That's just a piece of shit just because I'm getting X amount of dollars out of it
[200.0] Mr Steele: Which I see a lot of people doing these days and they're not even making money and that that's what astounds me is like
[205.56] Mr Steele: How many people are out there promoting product just because they get a couple motors every six months or something like that
[210.72] Mr Steele: It's like you guys there is a place and a time for this super promotion to happen
[217.56] Mr Steele: Right now is not the time
[219.56] Mr Steele: You shouldn't be like selling yourself sold to the devil because you get a few
[224.2] Mr Steele: ESCs and I understand that there are people that are less fortunate
[227.44] Jae: Than me to be able to like buy the equipment that I bought but well sometimes even just a discount even for some people
[237.16] Mr Steele: I remember so I remember the very first
[241.2] Mr Steele: The very first sponsorship I reached out to
[245.0] Mr Steele: I
[246.28] Mr Steele: So I'll give you a little like history like I worked at Atlanta hobby
[250.2] Mr Steele: Which is this hobby shop that does aerial photography stuff here in Atlanta?
[254.12] Mr Steele: They essentially just sell DJI products and they have like it kind of started out as a legitimate hobby shop
[261.12] Mr Steele: Like they had nitro planes and they went into nitro helis and they got into electric helis and they got into electric like
[267.2] Mr Steele: DMX or what are the DSM X bullshit like the
[270.64] Mr Steele: Find and fly spectrum stuff and they kind of turned into one of those stores that sold monocode and all this extra stuff in
[276.52] Mr Steele: Case you wanted to scratch build
[278.36] Mr Steele: And then they started getting into DJI
[281.28] Mr Steele: Started selling DJI and then they realized that there was not a market for repairing DJI
[285.52] Mr Steele: Phantoms because the idiots were buying them and crashing them and then they had nowhere to go other than they called DJI
[290.48] Mr Steele: Which up until recently had the most atrocious?
[294.72] Mr Steele: Customer service like known to the planet and probably the solar system
[301.04] Jack: If you want to
[304.0] Mr Steele: Yeah, and buy another one because that was really your option
[307.6] Mr Steele: So they basically opened a little like repair shop and I kind of got in there like right at the beginning of this repair
[313.56] Mr Steele: Shop opening and I stayed pretty much all the way up until past the Phantom 3's release. So this was mid last year
[319.92] Mr Steele: I think I quit July 30th 2015. So I've been
[324.36] Mr Steele: unemployed quote-unquote for the last year
[327.16] Mr Steele: And some months now and it's like while I worked there. I kind of used that work to
[334.32] Mr Steele: Basically build my flying so I would sit at my desk
[337.76] Mr Steele: I'd be tinkering with a phantom and I'd also be watching YouTube videos and I'd be like researching like
[344.12] Mr Steele: Different pilots and I'd be following different pilots and I'd be like, oh, well, I'm gonna make a video one day
[348.88] Mr Steele: What cameras best and I'd be on RC groups like fiddling through forums trying to figure out what?
[353.6] Mr Steele: Yes, he's to use or what motors to use what props to use
[357.04] Mr Steele: And this is like really difficult to do compared to nowadays where you just go on Facebook and you look at like one dude
[362.48] Mr Steele: And he's like, oh, yeah, here's what you use. This is how you do it
[365.44] Mr Steele: But then no, this is what you want because today's hype train says this
[370.2] Mr Steele: So it's a little different like it's more sporadic today
[373.6] Mr Steele: Like if you find one day you might find a really good setup based on a couple people's opinion
[377.92] Mr Steele: But back in the day it was like there was essentially one thing to do and if you didn't do it
[382.92] Mr Steele: Or you didn't keep up with the hype train
[385.24] Mr Steele: Which was basically one product every like three months like a new motor like it went from 1806 to 2204
[393.52] Mr Steele: 2206 to 2208 and then back down to 2204
[397.44] Mr Steele: 2300 KV we increase the KV and then it went to 26 20 to a 6 2300 KV and then obviously now it's like
[405.48] Mr Steele: 26 2600 KV or 2207
[408.96] Mr Steele: 2800 KV and it's just going to continue to go up until people realize that the battery technology can't handle what kind of
[415.04] Mr Steele: Stuff we're doing on certain rigs
[417.44] Mr Steele: Like I will I'll preach to most people that 5-inch and 2300 KV on for us is like the perfect setup
[423.96] Mr Steele: It's the perfect setup for me because I fly a GoPro and I fly freestyle and I like how responsive it is
[431.0] Mr Steele: And yeah, I could use more power
[432.8] Mr Steele: But in reality you can't get more power without losing something and that's either efficiency or you're gaining
[438.16] Mr Steele: weight
[439.0] Mr Steele: so
[440.36] Mr Steele: But when I was working in Atlanta hobby and sorry if this is just like a big long ramble
[444.92] Mr Steele: I don't know if this is what you guys want
[447.64] Jack: I love your old man rambles
[451.52] Jack: I do have a pipe. I got my tweed
[457.2] Jack: Nate there's a pub behind me if you ever make it here
[460.56] Jack: We can sit there in the wind wing back chairs and we can hold up things, you know
[465.2] Jack: The open toilet CC 3d
[469.6] Mr Steele: To hold up the open toilet. Yeah
[472.96] Jack: Throw it at people and you know piece of stinky
[476.68] Mr Steele: And you know, I have mine. I have my original CC 3d my very first white controller
[482.52] Jack: I've still got my
[485.64] Jack: God KK to
[488.92] Tony: Doesn't everyone keep their first
[490.92] Jack: No, I gave it away multi-we flip jay. You've got it. In fact, have I do you want it back? It probably doesn't work now
[499.56] Jae: Sorry tone
[502.12] Jae: I've got tones. Oh, you better. Yeah, I'm gonna burn it ceremoniously
[506.76] Jack: You know
[507.64] Jack: Thanks, pal
[508.92] Jack: You know, we can sit there and be like these kids
[512.44] Jack: Didn't know what it was like to fly on app now
[515.72] Jack: You know, actually these were only 12 amps
[518.36] Jae: Sorry, you know, I had this thought watching your the way you had your tiny loop through the
[522.6] Jae: Ninja course at the end and I was watching the video feed and I I thought in 20 years
[527.56] Jae: Maybe even 10 years time people are going to look back and go wow that video feed was so 8-bit like
[533.48] Jae: How it's going to change all of these
[535.8] Jae: Well, probably five I know but on that size that scale maybe five to ten who knows whatever
[541.0] Jae: But it is going to look so dated to future generations
[544.52] Jae: Who will see your ninja video many years from now on youtube which will probably it will be compulsory at schools
[550.68] Adam: like they have to buy
[552.44] Jae: How to buy small spaces? Can you imagine?
[555.32] Jack: Like the poor kids like there's going to be like a learning program, you know at college
[561.8] Jack: And you know, you'll have to learn about aerodynamics and how like the phases work in ESCs and stuff and then there's going to be a history
[569.64] Jack: Bit and then you're gonna have to talk about steel and like the poor kids that will have to listen to let show now
[576.76] Jack: I'm really sorry
[579.16] Jack: Like if you're if you're having to learn about steel with us idiots, I'm really
[586.2] Jack: Really? Sorry the delusions of grandeur there jack, I think maybe and
[591.96] Jack: I don't really hate tony. I do love him
[595.72] Jack: Thank you for the record
[597.72] Adam: For those of you, you know doing your dissertation on on listening to historical episodes of let's drown out
[603.32] Adam: Listen to all of them think you know, look carefully. Does he really love tony?
[609.16] Tony: Well, it's like yes
[611.24] Jack: Yeah, he does you you haven't if someone donates a hundred dollars for the patreon i've got to take a naked photo of tony
[618.28] Tony: Oh great, that will scar me for life. When was I informed of this?
[623.64] Adam: You have no choice. I didn't realize we had any sort of dick pickery here
[627.8] Jack: No, we'll cover it with a phantom or something
[632.6] Jack: Is this is the sort of time we start talking about normal is this something
[636.28] Tony: Anyway steel carry on carry on your rant. You know, we always go off the track, but that was fucking white over
[644.28] Jae: Yeah, usually happens they get delirious they haven't been fed and they certainly haven't had their medication yet still
[649.56] Mr Steele: Geez
[650.68] Jae: Yeah, sorry
[653.0] Mr Steele: Um, but yeah, I mean I guess what I was trying to say is while I worked at atlanta hobby
[657.4] Mr Steele: I would just watch
[658.68] Mr Steele: Videos and I was kind of getting at the point where I started reaching out to sponsors after I felt like I was semi established
[665.4] Mr Steele: Um not established to me was like 500 subscribers and like at the time boris had like I don't know
[672.02] Mr Steele: 4000 or 5000 and carlos was at like nine and that was holy shit. Like he was the biggest celebrity ever
[680.12] Mr Steele: um
[681.16] Mr Steele: And I just was like holy. Okay. Well, you know, these guys are I don't know ratio wise I was close
[687.16] Mr Steele: I was in the ballpark compared to most people that were flying because there weren't a lot of pilots posting videos back then
[693.32] Mr Steele: and
[694.44] Mr Steele: I reached out to richard shilton
[697.0] Mr Steele: Um at mb
[698.84] Mr Steele: Multicopter builders. Do you guys know of him? Yeah, I do. Yeah
[703.16] Mr Steele: so
[704.28] Mr Steele: He was the first person I reached out to
[706.52] Mr Steele: um, and it was actually a buddy of mine that
[709.64] Mr Steele: Uh where I worked with he's like dude, you got to see this guy richard richard's like really really good pilot
[715.16] Mr Steele: And I was like watching his videos and I was actually pretty impressed. I was like, okay. Well this guy owns a
[721.08] Mr Steele: He owns a store. So and I think at the time he had some he had like one or two products
[726.6] Mr Steele: because this is usually how it starts out like
[728.92] Mr Steele: I see something that I want or something that I already own and I want more of
[733.32] Mr Steele: And i'm like, oh shit. Well, I got to figure out how to get that for free because it's awesome
[738.12] Adam: So I basically people respond to drugs early on as well
[743.16] Mr Steele: Yeah, it's pretty similar. Uh
[745.16] Mr Steele: And so I emailed him. I was like, hey man, blah blah blah. Here's my videos
[748.84] Mr Steele: like this is what i'm doing this is where I work and
[751.8] Mr Steele: um, do would you consider like doing some kind of sponsorship with me and he's like
[757.72] Mr Steele: Yeah, yeah, sure. I can give you like a frame for a hundred bucks and the frames were like 130 dollars
[763.32] Mr Steele: So he's giving me a couple dollars off and then he's like, yeah, I can give you like 20 off in the store. I'm like
[769.64] Mr Steele: You don't you realize I work at a hobby store. I get better discounts here
[774.68] Mr Steele: Just working here than I would with you and i'd have to promote your brand
[778.68] Mr Steele: And i'm not going to fly your frames because I like the blackout and your frames are heavy
[783.88] Mr Steele: So ended up like declining that sponsorship
[787.88] Mr Steele: No hard feelings towards him or anything. It was just like it wasn't it wasn't even
[792.68] Mr Steele: Close to something. I was willing to settle for
[795.64] Mr Steele: Um, because the one thing is is like and this is a problem is when people get a sponsorship
[801.32] Mr Steele: And then they like go really gung-ho on it and then like a couple months later. They're
[805.88] Mr Steele: They're like, you know, I don't know if I like this sponsor anymore
[810.52] Mr Steele: um, i'm gonna try this and then they're really gung-ho on that and
[814.44] Mr Steele: i'm
[815.64] Mr Steele: I cannot say that i'm not guilty of this but it's like more of a real reality where the product actually changed
[822.28] Mr Steele: It's not just because I had a personal opinion because basically all of my sponsors
[827.4] Mr Steele: I reached out to them because I enjoyed using their product
[831.16] Mr Steele: And I just wanted to be able to be
[833.48] Mr Steele: essentially kind of
[835.78] Mr Steele: Compensated for promoting it. So like fly duino
[839.08] Mr Steele: That was kind of a weird thing where I had been flying kiss for like shitload like a long time
[844.12] Mr Steele: I'd probably bought bought like 40 kiss 18 amps had about 10 fires and I was still gung-ho on
[850.2] Mr Steele: uh kiss 18s, even though I was having a fire like every week and killing a cobra and a
[855.32] Mr Steele: Esc and a nays every single time I had a fire
[859.0] Mr Steele: Um, and it was literally random. I could like land
[863.32] Mr Steele: 15 inches from my feet and the thing would just catch on fire
[866.52] Mr Steele: But I could crash and fall from like 30 feet land on concrete and wouldn't have a fire
[871.16] Mr Steele: So it was it was really weird and really spontaneous
[874.52] Mr Steele: So and I was still I still believed that they flew the best
[878.68] Mr Steele: So I was like, you know, I don't care if there's a fire
[881.64] Mr Steele: I will pay the money because I know how well it flies
[885.16] Mr Steele: and
[886.12] Mr Steele: Eventually chad know I kind of had an in with felix, which is the designer felix nixon
[890.92] Mr Steele: He designed all the fly duino stuff electronic wise and
[895.48] Mr Steele: I was like jad jad
[897.16] Mr Steele: Help me out help me out
[898.36] Mr Steele: Like eventually ended up getting in there and he actually got me the sponsorship hq too because he was like hq
[904.04] Mr Steele: Apparently was talking to chad and was like what pilots do you think we should get on the team?
[908.12] Mr Steele: And that was when they literally got like all of the top pilots at the time
[913.08] Mr Steele: They got like juz they got carlos. They got tommy
[915.56] Mr Steele: They got chad they got all these dudes that were just like huge at the time
[921.4] Mr Steele: Um started selling hq like that was their dream team essentially
[926.6] Mr Steele: and yeah, I mean a lot of this stuff has been just either through another pilot or or me reaching out to somebody and
[933.32] Mr Steele: Begging and asking and saying look I can offer you this
[936.76] Mr Steele: And now I think i've kind of proven myself
[939.32] Mr Steele: Based on I don't even have to really promote the product anymore other than the fact that I use it and people
[946.04] Mr Steele: They see it and they're like, all right
[947.24] Mr Steele: Well, this guy hasn't changed escs in literally six months and his shit flies way better than mine
[953.64] Mr Steele: And i've been changing escs like three or four times every couple weeks because I keep blowing them up or
[959.4] Mr Steele: bl heli comes out with a new version or
[962.44] Mr Steele: Beta flight has a desync issue and it falls into a river
[966.84] Mr Steele: I don't there's just like all these little things that if you try to keep up with all the new stuff
[971.96] Mr Steele: And it's like you're you're just going to be
[975.0] Mr Steele: Basically chasing your tail and never having a quad that flies and really just becoming a tech
[980.92] Mr Steele: Um just taking stuff and fixing it every day because you're never going to get to fly
[987.88] Mr Steele: So
[988.92] Mr Steele: Yeah, I just thought it was cool that sponsorship kind of
[992.92] Mr Steele: For me at least it
[994.76] Mr Steele: It's it's evolved over time from me
[997.96] Mr Steele: reaching out to people
[999.72] Jae: go
[1000.84] Jae: Got a journey now with your youtube and the branding of that and
[1004.92] Jae: You know, that's a different aspect as well that
[1007.08] Jae: There's an adventure that people can follow and I think that's where people sometimes get things back rather than just sponsorship
[1013.96] Jae: People also get back from people prepared to put, you know their lives up on youtube
[1018.28] Jae: I don't know if you know fpv but he already wants he said, you know, i've been in front of the camera and
[1023.8] Jae: Did people connect with you as a person as a flyer as whatever level?
[1028.28] Jae: because you open up and that's
[1030.28] Jae: essentially another aspect to
[1032.44] Jae: Yeah, and that was
[1034.52] Mr Steele: That was one of the things that I noticed. I was gonna say that was one of the things I noticed about youtube and fpv was
[1040.92] Mr Steele: No one knew any of the pilots. They were they were just all these mysterious figures like boris was this mysterious dude
[1047.72] Mr Steele: That no one knew like metal
[1050.6] Mr Steele: Yeah, and he is still super mysterious
[1053.32] Mr Steele: um, but I mean carlos like
[1055.96] Mr Steele: He I would go on on rc groups and like look for posts that he had post
[1061.48] Mr Steele: Posted and i'd like find them and there would be like four sentences
[1065.56] Mr Steele: At most and it'd be like hey guys
[1067.8] Mr Steele: Like i'm from here like I need to like i'm trying to do this i'm trying to do that and honestly like at the time
[1073.24] Mr Steele: He didn't even know what he was doing
[1075.08] Mr Steele: He was just really good at flying like as far as the tech side goes
[1078.68] Mr Steele: Like the builds and stuff like I look back on it and it's like
[1082.44] Mr Steele: He didn't really know what he was doing. He was just kind of throwing stuff together and it worked for him
[1087.48] Mr Steele: Like even today he's flying nays
[1090.2] Mr Steele: Rev five boards because it's something he knows and something he trusts
[1095.0] Mr Steele: Like he's not he's not running all this new crap. He doesn't have kiss. Csc. He isn't already not kiss. Csc
[1099.96] Mr Steele: He doesn't have kiss fc. He doesn't have race flight
[1103.32] Mr Steele: Um, he's just tired of fiddling with crap
[1105.32] Mr Steele: He doesn't have a lot of time to fly and when he does want to fly he wants to know exactly what he's doing
[1110.2] Mr Steele: And there's no there's not a substantial benefit from these things
[1115.24] Mr Steele: Over what was there six to eight months ago?
[1118.6] Mr Steele: If you can pilot through the the negatives
[1122.04] Mr Steele: Like essentially what everyone is trying to do is they're trying to make a flight controller
[1126.28] Mr Steele: And an esc that you can plug in and the stock pids fly exactly how you want it to fly
[1131.8] Mr Steele: Which is never going to be the case
[1134.2] Mr Steele: If you take something and modify it and adjust it and get it to the way you want it
[1138.92] Mr Steele: And it feels the way that you want it to feel
[1141.4] Mr Steele: Then there's nothing that can compare to that regardless of how well it comes out of the box
[1146.44] Mr Steele: And I don't think that's what people understand these days when they're going out and trying all this this new stuff
[1152.04] Mr Steele: They're like, yeah, but the new I don't know beta flight or the new race flight or the new kiss stuff
[1157.56] Mr Steele: It's so amazing because of this reason and it's really not it's not about what it can and can't do. Yeah, I agree
[1166.36] Mr Steele: Kiss has some really cool stuff going for it because of the telemetry
[1170.2] Mr Steele: Features like having a having a amp sensor our current sensor on each esc
[1175.4] Mr Steele: And being able to relay that back through either fr sky telemetry or through like a really cheap osd like a
[1181.48] Mr Steele: A minimum or something that is a really cool feature
[1184.76] Mr Steele: Now they do have some really ridiculous stuff going on with like how their flight controller feels
[1192.12] Mr Steele: Like I can say that it's the most locked
[1194.92] Mr Steele: Feeling controller that i've ever used and that's why I use it. I don't I don't care if my shit looks like butter
[1202.28] Mr Steele: Like if it feels good, I can make it look like butter with my stick with my thumbs
[1206.84] Mr Steele: I don't need it to do it for me. I don't need
[1209.72] Mr Steele: Like this special mode that
[1212.26] Mr Steele: Desensitizes the sticks and makes them buttery in the middle or something like that
[1216.36] Jae: And you don't need colored anodized nuts and bolts and color matched props and everything
[1221.4] Jack: Oh, I have colored it. I haven't had
[1225.72] Jack: He has p yellow
[1228.84] Jack: What is it props
[1230.44] Mr Steele: I have actually some baby puke yellow pdb's to put on my aliens before I leave when I go to l.a
[1236.84] Jack: Oh man, I I really want one of those black pdb's for my adn
[1243.16] Jack: Looks
[1244.44] Mr Steele: They do look pretty cool. I've heard I've heard if you like
[1247.48] Mr Steele: If flux gets on them, they like end up losing that shine or that sheen that they have the flat black sheen
[1254.04] Jack: But I mean whatever if it's gonna get dirty. Yeah, I I thought they were matte black
[1259.08] Mr Steele: They are matte black
[1260.44] Mr Steele: But you know when you you get something on it matt can be like essentially matt is just an unpolished surface and when you put something
[1268.12] Mr Steele: Sticky or some kind of residue on it. It just seeps into the cracks and is never the same sheen
[1274.52] Jae: I'm, sorry. What well in this country, it's mostly grass and green things because we don't really get much sun
[1280.84] Jack: yeah, I just want a lovely summer we did actually I just want to say that um,
[1287.88] Jack: I
[1289.64] Jack: I've got a place in the uk
[1292.36] Jack: nationals, I think that's what it's called because of
[1296.04] Jack: kiss ese's 18 amp and
[1299.72] Jack: my only outrage
[1301.72] Jack: to the kiss
[1303.24] Jack: 24 amp ese's is having to flash them because they haven't got the bootloader on them
[1308.68] Jack: That made me very unhappy
[1311.32] Mr Steele: Yeah, but you know having to flash having to flash the firmware once in a year is pretty
[1318.92] Mr Steele: Yeah compared to be our heli pretty real little bitch
[1322.84] Mr Steele: I mean, I was pissed when I heard about that when they were i'm in this little like private chat with basically
[1329.88] Mr Steele: three engineers that work on the software side and then
[1333.96] Mr Steele: felix, which is the
[1335.96] Mr Steele: He's the like hardware and software designer for the kiss ese's and kiss
[1340.68] Mr Steele: Oh my god, is there a lawnmower going on? What is that? Yeah
[1345.48] Jack: Pizza delivery go over the cup pipe
[1348.68] Jack: Jesus
[1350.36] Jack: Welcome. Welcome to jolly old england. We have we have a name for them. They're called chavs
[1355.88] Jack: Council housed and violent. So when he makes enough money for his um meth
[1361.48] Jack: Or cocaine he'll go home and beat his girlfriend
[1367.32] Mr Steele: That's awesome
[1369.32] Tony: That's anywhere jack lives not everywhere. It's like yeah, that's not everywhere. It's just where jack hangs out
[1375.08] Tony: Or jack lives. Yeah, that's your street then
[1379.24] Adam: History is super posh. It's not a tall chavvie. It's really middle class a neighborhood, isn't it?
[1384.12] Jack: Yeah, but you don't know where that piece of delivery guys come from. That's a fair point
[1389.4] Jack: What on the crack nest
[1391.4] Tony: Going back to what you were talking about. I totally agree with still
[1396.36] Tony: Saying that if you if you set up your stuff there you like it
[1399.96] Tony: Just keep flying it as you like it because that's what I keep doing. I want to stick with
[1404.52] Tony: Two uh, seven one little bees. I'll fly over gopro. I like how it flies
[1411.24] Tony: And a couple of my mates a lot. Oh, yeah, you need f4 boards
[1414.6] Tony: You need to update it to this and this you know, it comes out every 10 minutes and you people are updating
[1421.4] Tony: This is it flies so much better. And I just think
[1424.2] Tony: wait, mine flies good now and I
[1427.64] Tony: Go to it and every time I go to it it flies the same because I haven't updated it and happen to attune it again
[1433.16] Tony: so
[1435.48] Adam: I totally agree with that. We covered that point a lot and you don't find anyone who's good saying
[1441.4] Adam: Oh, yeah, you need to do upgrade it by a new thing every week
[1444.2] Adam: Do you they all say, you know stick with your settings?
[1447.32] Adam: It's only there's always a certain group of people with anything technical who just like buying new stuff and making excuses for it
[1455.88] Jack: yeah, I that was one of I heard that from
[1460.6] Jack: Um chad and he was like stick with it and rc 25. I wish I didn't update to rc
[1468.84] Jack: um
[1469.88] Jack: 28 because like I am now trying to make my quad
[1474.6] Jack: Feel like that and the only reason I upgraded was because I had the mid
[1480.36] Jack: Um mid power light oscillations where you kind of punch out and you get that quad wobble
[1486.92] Jack: But I did that and I still got
[1490.6] Jack: um
[1491.64] Jack: You know when you go full throttle on your kiss set up and you get that sort of like prop wash
[1496.84] Jack: You've kind of got it a little bit. Well, i've got it really bad because I I don't understand tba
[1503.72] Jack: Yeah, I mean
[1504.84] Jack: If you can do a tutorial on that
[1506.84] Mr Steele: Where you're just like now jack or brighten's life. It's funny because if I did a tutorial on it would probably just be a sticks video
[1514.04] Mr Steele: Because a lot of that stuff. I don't even want to try to figure out because it's just yeah, it's so ridiculous
[1520.68] Mr Steele: that I just learned how to fly through it and
[1524.04] Mr Steele: And not give power in certain particular moments so that it doesn't do that because it is really
[1529.8] Mr Steele: Driven on what you do in a certain time and then where the aircraft is
[1535.16] Mr Steele: So like back in the day when I used to fly nays 32s and stuff
[1539.4] Mr Steele: Um, like that thing flew like balls, but I just knew how to fly it
[1545.0] Mr Steele: And when you know how to fly something that's crappy
[1548.76] Mr Steele: I don't know. It's like giving a teenager a Porsche gt3 and giving a
[1553.16] Mr Steele: F1 driver like a camera and telling them to go down a down a mountain on a curvy road
[1557.8] Mr Steele: I guarantee you the f1 driver is going to beat him
[1560.36] Mr Steele: Just because just because he knows what he's doing regardless of the the tool that he's doing it with
[1566.12] Mr Steele: so
[1567.32] Mr Steele: It's just more of a more of a feel thing and being able to adjust to what your what your environment is and what equipment you're using
[1574.6] Jack: But like there is a point where you just totally get left behind and they add a new feature that you've been looking for
[1582.04] Jack: And you have you kind of have to ask yourself
[1585.4] Jack: yourself should
[1586.76] Jack: You know and then and then you do and you know, I mean admittedly i've taken photos of all my settings before I do it
[1594.04] Jack: I keep the hex file there in case I want to flash back to it and it's not working out
[1599.96] Jack: um
[1601.08] Jack: But you know, yeah, I mean
[1603.56] Jack: I'm waiting for a few more features on a kiss board
[1607.8] Jack: Uh, so I can flash it back to beat a flight and try that but i'm i'm a very strong
[1614.58] Jack: Believer in kiss eses that the resolution on them is unreal
[1620.6] Mr Steele: Yeah, and it's funny how many people will argue that beo heli is where kiss was or is like
[1628.04] Mr Steele: Basically, no one ever claims that beo heli is better than kiss. They always claim that it's almost as good and that to me is like
[1636.2] Mr Steele: Why do you want to be almost as good and I just had this conversation?
[1640.6] Mr Steele: With uh, i've actually you know get fpv i've been trying to make a motor with tim
[1645.72] Mr Steele: From good fpv for over a year now
[1648.28] Mr Steele: Um, i've been trying to get a pro model motor because I I love the 2206 2350
[1654.2] Mr Steele: It's like a really really nice motor. I use it all the time
[1657.0] Mr Steele: It might not be the most durable motor in the world, but you know, it makes really good power
[1661.0] Mr Steele: It's really efficient, which is very important to me and it also is light
[1665.16] Mr Steele: um, and I just I wanted to improve upon that motor some in some way shape or form
[1672.04] Mr Steele: And i've literally been trying to do that
[1675.08] Mr Steele: For at least six months now because the whole original thing was I wanted a 2205 2400 kv
[1681.48] Mr Steele: And that just came out recently as you saw the schizo motor the purple one. Yeah with the ceramic bearings, man
[1688.28] Jack: Jesus christ. Lila lovely. He is a bone sprigade kid, man. He's such a skater
[1695.72] Mr Steele: You know, you don't know the history on that do you
[1698.68] Mr Steele: Well, that was that was my idea
[1700.92] Jack: Yeah, oh really
[1702.92] Mr Steele: Yeah, so that was my motor
[1704.28] Mr Steele: I actually have motors in my basement that are purple that I had that color custom design
[1708.76] Mr Steele: I had the the ceramic bearings were my idea single winding was my idea 2205 2400 was my idea
[1714.76] Mr Steele: That was supposed to be my motor and I got it
[1717.56] Mr Steele: I have them they say mr
[1718.84] Mr Steele: Steel on them and I just didn't like it. It didn't fit what I was using like what kind of aircraft I was flying
[1725.0] Mr Steele: So I just said, you know, I don't I don't want it. I'm sorry. I don't want this motor
[1729.08] Mr Steele: It just doesn't fit what i'm doing. It's a good motor, but it doesn't fit
[1733.16] Mr Steele: the kind of flying that i'm doing so
[1736.36] Mr Steele: I abandoned that motor and that was when I guess
[1739.88] Mr Steele: Like people got frustrated with me like tim got frustrated because he had spent all this money building his own factory and buying all these
[1745.72] Mr Steele: Motors and having them all anodized and then i'm just like yeah, i'm sorry
[1749.0] Mr Steele: i'm not going to sign a contract with you and sell these for
[1752.2] Mr Steele: Whatever amount of money and and make x amount of money on it
[1756.84] Mr Steele: Because I don't believe in it. It's not a product that I would fly
[1761.56] Mr Steele: Because I still like the 2206
[1764.04] Mr Steele: Now that that was when we wanted to do the 2206 and obviously it's right, you know the rb on that motor
[1769.72] Mr Steele: stands for ripping balls, that's
[1771.72] Mr Steele: that's uh
[1773.0] Mr Steele: I don't know
[1774.12] Mr Steele: The uh, the purple motor is that all the rb series their new motors the rb is ripping balls
[1779.88] Mr Steele: So yeah, it's supposed to be my motor not my motor
[1783.0] Mr Steele: Um schizo really likes it and he's kind of like that smaller stator hierarchy because he runs lighter setups than me
[1789.4] Mr Steele: So it works well for him
[1791.32] Mr Steele: But there's out again. He's back again
[1795.08] Jack: I reckon
[1796.76] Jack: I reckon he is delivering crack
[1799.24] Jack: No, I think he was treated to the charity. So i'm gonna get another show. Yeah
[1803.0] Tony: All right
[1805.56] Jack: That's me that's me what what is your recommendation for
[1809.96] Jack: You know, like I I know you spoke on quad talk and stuff
[1814.12] Jack: but um
[1815.56] Jack: you know, like I
[1817.16] Jack: I you know, i'm sending messages to like impulse RSP being like
[1823.32] Jack: I love
[1824.6] Jack: The alien five inch so much. I bought two of them. Um, I love them
[1829.88] Jack: I've got this podcast
[1831.56] Jack: and you know, I want to you know, I want to
[1834.6] Jack: You know, I don't want even you to like send me free stuff. I just want to like work
[1840.76] Jack: I can promote you on the podcast and stuff and uh, no reply from shawn
[1845.32] Jack: So i'm calling him out now
[1847.96] Mr Steele: Yeah
[1848.84] Mr Steele: I mean they're kind of difficult to get in touch with even shawn. They're super busy
[1853.16] Mr Steele: Especially with the helix just coming out. I mean it took me
[1856.92] Mr Steele: I mean i'm
[1858.28] Mr Steele: One of their larger or larger named pilots and it probably took me two weeks to get in touch with shawn and then
[1863.88] Mr Steele: Another two weeks to actually get him on a skype call because i'm actually in the process of building another
[1868.68] Mr Steele: A frame with him via it's essentially an alien, but it'll be a little more
[1872.92] Mr Steele: Refined which the alien is a very refined frame
[1876.12] Mr Steele: But it'll be even more refined a little bit lighter and have some integration on the pdb so you don't have to
[1881.96] Mr Steele: An oil shave essentially if you know my current setup with the pmp 50 and whatnot
[1885.88] Mr Steele: It'll probably shave about I don't know 35 or 40 grams off the quad itself
[1891.8] Mr Steele: Um, so just a little bit lighter. Uh, I know my I like a sweet spot between 550 and 600 grams
[1898.6] Mr Steele: Like i've said before and i'm right right at 600 right now. So
[1902.92] Mr Steele: Um, I don't know. I might not like that
[1905.8] Mr Steele: But I may end up doing something else like running a bigger motor or something and pushing it back up to six
[1911.32] Mr Steele: 600 grams because that is kind of like a a nice weight
[1915.32] Mr Steele: to have but
[1917.16] Mr Steele: Yeah at the same time at the same time. It's just like to get someone like that. He's just super busy
[1923.0] Mr Steele: He is running impulse rc now. So to get him on the phone is like calling the president of a
[1929.72] Mr Steele: I don't know of fucking sony. Not really, but you know kind of that way in this industry
[1937.24] Tony: Cool, um, we got neil neil cody in the chat wants to give away and invade a patch to
[1944.2] Tony: Someone in the chat. So can you mr. Steel pick a number between one and uh 21 and
[1951.96] Tony: Just randomly say it now. We can give a patch away from uh, idrone idrone really good company
[1959.08] Jack: 13
[1960.52] Tony: There you go. Number 13
[1962.92] Tony: you have got yourself a
[1965.72] Tony: Invader
[1967.08] Tony: Patch so we'll work out who that is in a minute and send you that so thank you neil from idrone
[1973.08] Jack: yeah, they uh
[1975.96] Jack: He sells um the video area systems and antennas and they are amazing
[1982.68] Jack: Yeah, you you run the uh blue
[1985.32] Jack: Beam didn't you?
[1986.84] Mr Steele: Yeah, I run the mad mushroom on my i'm still I ran it from the very beginning and I still run it today
[1992.36] Jack: Yeah, I I run left hand because i'm left handed
[1996.36] Jack: so
[1997.72] Mr Steele: That's terrible. Why?
[2000.12] Mr Steele: I don't know
[2001.32] Mr Steele: I don't have a reason they just don't they just don't make the blue bean or the mad mushroom in left hand
[2005.56] Mr Steele: They only make the air screw. Yeah, or not. What are you not the air?
[2009.4] Mr Steele: The uh, what do they call that thing air blade air blade?
[2014.52] Jack: Yeah, now now they make it but only with the cover that I have to jam in my vice and then take the cover off
[2021.08] Jack: Yep, I do that
[2023.16] Jack: It's the worst man. I miss the original ones without the cover
[2027.72] Jack: Please start making them again. No one wants the cover god. Damn you
[2034.12] Mr Steele: Yeah, I know alex has gone a little crazy with his disrespect stuff
[2038.12] Mr Steele: But like who cares if you're receiving antenna has a cover on it. I don't want a 30 pound antenna on my head
[2044.04] Jack: I'm, sorry. Yeah, it's like a fucking tumor
[2047.08] Mr Steele: You know it is a tour no one wants it and put it on freaking rj45 or something
[2051.96] Mr Steele: So it's semi-rigid or rg45. Whatever the coaxial semi-rigid coaxial is instead of that
[2058.44] Mr Steele: Rg3
[2059.64] Mr Steele: 316 or something
[2062.2] Mr Steele: I think they're on 316 now or 315 rg and it's like it's just like stupid. I mean it might have better
[2069.16] Mr Steele: Yeah, I mean i'm sure he does it for a reason. I'm sure he has a reason behind why he doesn't use
[2074.84] Mr Steele: a different coax cable
[2077.16] Mr Steele: but
[2078.36] Adam: I don't know
[2080.68] Mr Steele: I mean he's running chokes. Nobody else runs a choke on their on their antennas
[2085.4] Jack: It's just a ferrite shield, isn't it to stop the linear leakage? I think yeah, I think that's what it's for
[2092.44] Mr Steele: Yeah, it's right at the base of the some of the antennas. Obviously some don't have it but some do
[2098.12] Jack: Well, I think just a mr. Steel knows all
[2104.44] Jack: Oh god, what was I gonna ask you? Uh, yeah
[2107.72] Jack: Uh, i've got a nerdy question because you run the where is that?
[2112.84] Jack: Sorry, yeah
[2114.6] Jack: You run the tbs crossfire
[2117.16] Jack: And it's not legal in this country
[2120.52] Jack: and also the conversion rate means that it's like
[2125.32] Jack: The 200 pounds which is like five
[2128.74] Jack: Thousand dollars in your weird money
[2131.88] Jack: Um, but anyway, you know how it says it's self-healing
[2135.82] Jack: Is that only with the gps?
[2138.38] Jack: I don't understand. How does that work?
[2141.26] Jack: What is this witchcraft kill it with fire?
[2144.86] Mr Steele: Self-healing link is that what you're talking about? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I honestly don't know
[2149.74] Mr Steele: I have trouble with crossfire here in the southeastern united states. So I don't run it
[2155.1] Mr Steele: Here, um, I always bring a receiver with me and I bring the transmitter with me
[2159.1] Mr Steele: So that when i'm in a location where 2.4 is not ideal I can swap one out in the field
[2165.18] Mr Steele: Um and use crossfire, but yeah, I mean it's a great tool, but I don't I don't condone using it every single day
[2172.38] Mr Steele: I don't think it's worth the battery consumption
[2175.74] Mr Steele: or the the risk of
[2178.22] Mr Steele: Obviously fucking people up on that pad
[2181.26] Mr Steele: Because it is a ham band and a lot of people don't have their ham license
[2184.7] Mr Steele: They don't understand that there are things around that are running on 900 or 868 or whatever you want to use
[2190.7] Mr Steele: Obviously, it's not even legal in your country. So
[2193.5] Jae: Now it's the mobile phone network and 900
[2195.98] Mr Steele: And I know uh, I know mr. Bannister over there loves to use it. So he's obviously being really legal
[2202.38] Mr Steele: But it's okay. He can't go to jail yet. He's only like 14
[2207.1] Tony: 12
[2209.98] Adam: Every time you speak to someone yeah, he's he's criminal responsibility now. It's just I actually heard
[2217.58] Mr Steele: I think he's actually 16, isn't he? Yeah, I didn't know I didn't think he was at all
[2222.14] Adam: Which means he's old enough to have sex but not old enough to get a drink in this country
[2226.54] Tony: Yeah, but it's the only good thing and then how he's 16
[2229.42] Tony: He's gonna start looking at girls and then just go totally off quads and then we might start winning stuff. Yep
[2237.02] Tony: Yes, and then mention Kim will come in and take him over
[2241.74] Mr Steele: Yeah
[2242.7] Jack: Great. We we have so off topic. Welcome to let drone out
[2247.02] Mr Steele: Well, what was the topic in general? What is this question? We're droning out
[2250.7] Adam: If we get if we get three sentences away from drones at least one of jack or tony will get a bit gross
[2257.74] Jack: No, it's fine. I don't mind no, it's cool a belgium you can drink alcohol at 16
[2264.78] Jack: That's uh lemon I like that name erwin lemon. So how many people are listening live right now?
[2272.38] Jack: Who knows apparently 21 on the chat?
[2275.34] Jack: And I don't even want to click my youtube someone someone click my youtube
[2280.62] Jack: Oh, man, I I'm dreading it 49 50 people
[2285.02] Jack: Dang, that's awesome. Yeah, man. Yeah, you're bringing in a lot of people
[2290.22] Mr Steele: No, they're just like what the hell is this guy talking about?
[2292.86] Jack: Yeah, can you put in a word for trappy for me and sting a swarm? They're people I do want to talk to
[2300.06] Mr Steele: Why do you want me to put in a good word for trappy? Like what why do you hold a trappy?
[2303.98] Jack: I'm friends with him on facebook. I nag him every other day
[2307.34] Jack: Oh
[2312.3] Mr Steele: What are you trying to get in touch with them about
[2314.38] Jack: Uh to come on the show have a chat
[2316.38] Jack: That's it. That's all I want to do i'm on the same mission as you man
[2319.5] Jack: I just want to record people so that like the kids when they're learning about dronos in school
[2325.18] Jack: They have to deal with this. Oh, I love
[2327.98] Jack: I love just yeah torturing them. That's right
[2330.94] Adam: They won't have schools in the future, but they will plug something in their ears and just learn everything at once
[2336.54] Adam: Possibly for a recording of us
[2339.5] Adam: Probably not
[2341.5] Mr Steele: Yeah, I mean, uh trapster is a harder one to get a hold of unless you
[2345.9] Mr Steele: Try to do that
[2347.34] Mr Steele: Yeah, you got to basically trap him or you have him on a
[2350.86] Mr Steele: What is it whatsapp and you just fucking blow him up in the middle of the night?
[2354.46] Jack: Because he's always awake at like 4 a.m for some reason. Yeah, I I i've got whatsapp. I can do that
[2361.34] Jack: Totally I can I could deal with it if I got the rare unicorn that is boris b to speak to me
[2367.66] Mr Steele: Then I actually just spoke to boris like five minutes ago
[2372.3] Mr Steele: And I haven't in a long he I think so. I sent him a video like in may and he replied on september 5th
[2380.94] Mr Steele: And then I just replied to him like today
[2384.94] Adam: I think that's really nice, you know, like when people used to write letters in the olden days
[2389.58] Adam: So yeah, it takes years for it to happen
[2393.02] Adam: Yeah, um
[2395.18] Adam: speaking of olden days
[2396.86] Adam: things
[2397.9] Adam: Everyone has to go out and buy this month's drone magazine because there's an extra long feature on tony. Yeah
[2404.46] Jack: Question. Thank you. Yep
[2407.5] Jack: Buy it tony
[2409.66] Jack: Question on the subject to the law. How has the registration worked out on the us?
[2415.5] Jack: seeing as the
[2417.5] Jack: as I
[2419.02] Jack: are threatening
[2421.42] Jae: aerospace
[2422.78] Jae: registration
[2424.3] Jack: Yeah, how's the registration worked out? Yeah, that's the FAA. Yeah, the sex offenders register for owning a drone
[2432.14] Mr Steele: Uh
[2433.98] Mr Steele: I don't know
[2435.5] Jae: We're getting it next year apparently
[2438.22] Mr Steele: um, I mean the registration I I think the registration portion is a joke honestly, but
[2444.54] Mr Steele: um
[2445.58] Mr Steele: The we have this thing called the 107 part 107
[2449.9] Mr Steele: It's like our commercial
[2452.14] Adam: Usage from drone operators. We've had for ages, but we don't have the um
[2456.86] Adam: the registration thing
[2459.02] Adam: Okay
[2460.3] Adam: What do you guys have to do to get your commercial licenses?
[2465.02] Adam: You go and get trained by an organization licensed by the caa and it tends to cost
[2471.42] Adam: the wrong side of a thousand dollars
[2474.14] Adam: Um, and what are you?
[2477.1] Adam: Yeah, how to look at the annoying maps
[2480.86] Adam: Okay, who not to fly into and please go and ask permission and that kind of thing
[2487.34] Jack: Yeah, though. It is getting easy a thousand dollars. Does that mean i'm completely screwed?
[2492.54] Jack: Is this hobby no longer football beat? No, no, no, no, no, no
[2495.34] Adam: Because the the the registration for the hobbyists in the us was like five dollars or something
[2500.62] Jae: Well, it was free in the beginning free for a bit. Yeah
[2505.18] Mr Steele: Well, so the registration side of it is I think
[2509.02] Mr Steele: Not very useful because the only real way you could ever
[2513.02] Mr Steele: Have anything
[2514.54] Mr Steele: Useful as if it crashed and someone found it and then that they look your number up
[2519.5] Mr Steele: And if it's like on the white house lawn or something, then you're in trouble
[2522.3] Mr Steele: That's that is really the only reason ever that really the thing in the minds of the lawmakers, isn't it?
[2530.06] Jack: You know, it will crash. I mean you could write any old number on it
[2535.26] Jack: Or or use someone else's or not. Do you not put the sticker on it jack not put the sticker on it?
[2541.5] Mr Steele: It's funny because when I was at nationals
[2543.82] Mr Steele: You're supposed to write your registration number on all your quads and I mean i'm not doing anything for commercial use
[2550.7] Mr Steele: So to me when I start doing commercial use, obviously, I have I mean I just passed my 107 yesterday
[2558.32] Jack: I was
[2561.28] Jack: Apparently now
[2566.8] Mr Steele: That it's for commercial only the the 107 is the 107 is like the bean up
[2572.32] Jae: So what do you have to do for it over there then?
[2574.72] Mr Steele: Uh, it's essentially you have to know it's a 700 question pool and there's 60 questions you go take a test
[2582.4] Mr Steele: You essentially need to know how to read metars
[2584.56] Mr Steele: You know need to know how to read tack and sectional maps
[2587.84] Mr Steele: You need to know like all of the weird things that the fa wants you to know like there's
[2593.28] Mr Steele: four types of attitudes that they don't want you to be like
[2597.74] Mr Steele: Machoism and they want you to know the difference between machoism and like someone that's impatient. Oh, that's hilarious
[2604.64] Mr Steele: Like that is invulnerable. They have all these weird terms that are like, you know, a four-year-old or asshole
[2611.68] Mr Steele: Yeah, it's like if you're being a dick, you're not allowed to fly your drone commercially
[2616.0] Adam: But hang on they ask you are you a dick in a four in like a questionnaire and you go no
[2622.0] Adam: I am not the dick
[2623.44] Mr Steele: Yes
[2623.84] Mr Steele: And then you get three out of the four questions wrong even though there was only one question
[2627.92] Jae: Which is kind of the subset of a private license for it is very similar to a private pilot license
[2633.68] Mr Steele: Yeah about the only difference and it's funny because since the questions are so random
[2638.64] Mr Steele: It I actually studied I mean to me being able to read sectional maps and understanding like the like
[2645.76] Mr Steele: The frequencies that you need to communicate with to get air traffic
[2650.32] Mr Steele: Um like to understand where traffic is or to uh, the ctams
[2655.44] Mr Steele: I guess where they basically say look here
[2657.76] Mr Steele: This is a this is a calm frequency that you would use to
[2661.52] Mr Steele: Just like say hey
[2662.88] Mr Steele: I'm in the area
[2664.16] Mr Steele: Can I go up if you're if you're trying to get in touch with a tower
[2667.04] Mr Steele: Or if you just want to know where certain planes are and whatnot
[2670.48] Mr Steele: So like all of that stuff if you're doing it commercially and you're near an airport, I can see it being
[2675.44] Mr Steele: Um a real like a real reality where it would need to need to be done now
[2681.76] Mr Steele: For the most part
[2683.6] Mr Steele: I don't think that it's that necessary like if you go out on a shoot and you're in the middle of the moab desert or something
[2691.52] Mr Steele: You probably are in class e or g airspace
[2695.52] Mr Steele: Most likely g or e and if it's e you're probably below your
[2699.74] Mr Steele: 700 feet or whatever that you need to be below to be to be legal so you don't need to call anybody
[2706.48] Mr Steele: Um, so a lot of that stuff is just
[2709.12] Mr Steele: Trying to maintain this log record of your aircraft, which is so yeah
[2715.28] Mr Steele: That is so funny to me because I don't even know what i'm gonna do
[2718.96] Mr Steele: like every time I crash and break a prop I should be logging my
[2724.24] Jae: Logging it. So that sounds very similar to the uk then the differences in the uk
[2728.8] Jae: If you get the frequency of a local airfield in their traffic control, you're not allowed to use it and they should pass the radio
[2736.16] Jae: Module of a pilot's license. Yeah, you expect to just phone them up
[2740.72] Jack: Yeah, use the telephones. Yeah
[2743.44] Jack: No one's gonna answer though because no one cares. No, they do
[2746.88] Jae: No, if you're flying near a airport
[2749.52] Jae: They will actually answer and they're usually grateful that you tell them that you're flying nearby and that's how it works
[2754.56] Jae: But if you're in the middle of nowhere
[2756.4] Adam: Yeah, yeah, the us does have a lot of g a lot of empty space. Whereas you know here we've got scotland
[2765.12] Mr Steele: I will say that I live in
[2767.44] Mr Steele: I think I live in uh
[2769.92] Mr Steele: In b right now
[2771.76] Mr Steele: Or if not that I live in c like i'm like really close to an airport. There's an airport probably I don't know two miles from my house
[2779.52] Mr Steele: Um, and i'm pretty sure i'm within that ring of the first surface to whatever
[2784.96] Adam: Um, it's the air missile d level. Yeah. Yeah, i'm close enough for to london city for
[2790.8] Tony: Cji to get upset. I think same here. I'm like a mile away from gatwick. I've got a question
[2797.28] Jack: um
[2798.32] Jack: Some people were worried that whenever there's a drone sighting that the police would go around the nearest registered owner
[2804.64] Jack: Has anything like that happened?
[2807.36] Mr Steele: No, no drones drones are so like
[2810.88] Mr Steele: Passé here. No one cares
[2813.28] Mr Steele: At all. Uh, I think i've literally been asked to leave
[2817.6] Mr Steele: Maybe three times in the total of two years that i've been flying and usually it's very non-confrontational
[2823.7] Mr Steele: People are just like hey guys i'm getting a complaint
[2826.82] Mr Steele: From my manager or my boss or the people I work for in some way shape or form saying that the drones are
[2834.58] Mr Steele: usually like
[2835.78] Mr Steele: Someone will complain that they're walking their dog and their dog is scared or something stupid
[2840.82] Adam: Yeah, and dog people always use the dog to say what they think
[2845.94] Mr Steele: Yeah, the animal is somehow this lady. It was so funny
[2849.46] Mr Steele: One time I was out flying with like the atlanta crew john and kevin and this lady actually
[2855.38] Mr Steele: Walked she like walked. I watched her. She walked from probably
[2859.14] Mr Steele: I don't know a quarter mile away directly towards us
[2862.5] Mr Steele: And was like just the dog was just chilling like just walking along didn't care when she got right next to us
[2868.1] Mr Steele: There was completely other paths to take she just took the one towards us
[2872.58] Mr Steele: When she got near us, she actually started
[2875.06] Mr Steele: Freaking out saying that her dog had heart problems and that we needed to land immediately or the dog was going to have a heart attack
[2881.38] Mr Steele: So I just was flying at the time
[2883.7] Mr Steele: So I brought it in and looked at her hovering a couple inches off the ground and then just punched out
[2889.06] Mr Steele: like right next to the like probably five feet away from the dog just because
[2893.7] Mr Steele: the dog didn't give it the lady was the like person freaking out for no reason at all and
[2900.5] Adam: I did a very very similar thing at the weekend myself. I was flying
[2905.38] Adam: Admittedly the big one the my inspire around a lighthouse
[2910.1] Adam: Um on a on a hill lighthouse on a hill in the late district
[2914.26] Adam: Um, and some woman walked a very long way, you know, she could see it was happening
[2918.42] Adam: I'd already got I got permission of the guy running the place
[2921.54] Adam: And all the rest of it and she came up and loudly started complaining having walked several hundred meters
[2926.98] Adam: Yeah, uh, oh yes, this stone is terrible really annoying my dog
[2932.58] Adam: And again, the dog was just there looking at it
[2936.02] Adam: That's for sure. But you know probably only working out that he wasn't going to be able to eat it. Yeah
[2941.54] Adam: and and I thought
[2943.7] Adam: And everyone else was really happy everyone else had seen it that week and they've been like, you know
[2948.26] Adam: Oh, can you send us the photos and that kind of thing?
[2951.14] Mr Steele: Yeah, now usually people like that I almost get confrontational with them because they are just being assholes
[2957.78] Mr Steele: um, and I want to
[2959.14] Mr Steele: I've got that teen angst still at 26 where I just want to fucking punch people in the face when they're being
[2966.1] Adam: Not go away i'm 37
[2969.14] Mr Steele: So yeah, I mean there was it was hilarious the last time I actually got really mad. I have it on video
[2974.9] Mr Steele: I was flying we went to this random furniture store and in front of the furniture store
[2979.14] Mr Steele: There's like a bunch of these
[2981.46] Mr Steele: basically frames of frames of buildings, but they're all lined up and I was
[2986.66] Mr Steele: Power looping power looping them in a corkscrew like they're all
[2990.74] Mr Steele: I don't know 20 by 20 by 20 or 20 by 20 by 10
[2994.42] Mr Steele: Like style buildings with little and it's all framework. It's not it doesn't have anything
[2999.78] Mr Steele: Um covering the roof or on the walls, but they're just lined up
[3002.98] Mr Steele: There's about 10 of them and they're all different colors and I was power looping them
[3006.5] Mr Steele: back to back to back in a corkscrew formation like going just
[3011.22] Mr Steele: All the way down and I saw this dude walking out of the store
[3014.26] Mr Steele: There was no one at the store
[3016.26] Mr Steele: It was literally completely empty dude walking out like on his phone like he's calling the police or something
[3022.18] Mr Steele: So I knew you I knew he was calling the police
[3024.74] Mr Steele: I knew he was fucking coming over to yell at us at the back of the parking lot almost a half a mile away
[3030.82] Mr Steele: Um, so I just started circling him
[3033.38] Mr Steele: um
[3035.14] Mr Steele: They don't like that. No, he didn't he didn't like that at all. He came over
[3039.86] Mr Steele: came over and uh
[3041.94] Mr Steele: Like I'm calling the police
[3044.34] Mr Steele: Like, okay
[3045.46] Mr Steele: What are they gonna do tell us to leave please call them and he's like i'm writing down your tag number like okay
[3051.14] Mr Steele: please be my guest please and I just
[3053.94] Mr Steele: basically gave him the middle finger the whole time not big not literally but
[3058.82] Mr Steele: You know, like that's my tone of voice with him was fuck off, dude
[3063.62] Mr Steele: I'm not harming anything. This isn't your property. You're leasing it calm the fuck down
[3069.94] Jack: Officially the let's drone out podcast does not condone this kind of behavior. Well, I had I had the poppy incident the dog that apparently
[3079.38] Jack: Ran and and chased after my friend's drone because it was flying
[3084.58] Jack: um
[3085.06] Jack: The the thing was that we'd ran out of packs by the time she came over
[3089.86] Jack: And she like it was clearly our fault that she hadn't trained her dog
[3094.34] Jack: and um
[3096.02] Jack: And yeah, like, you know, she's like you don't understand like, you know
[3099.62] Jack: The the hassle you caused and we're like we're in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere
[3104.58] Jack: hanging by the trees
[3106.42] Jack: Flying really low through the trees
[3108.9] Adam: And you guys always go out of your way to not be in, you know in anyone's way, do you?
[3114.42] Adam: It's not like you fly in the town
[3116.5] Jack: Yeah
[3117.3] Jack: And then because we'd run out of batteries
[3118.98] Jack: I was like fine or let's help find your dog and she you know
[3122.34] Jack: She didn't have a leg to stand on then
[3124.42] Jack: So he went and we had a look and the dog came running back like, you know later
[3129.14] Jack: But he completely knackered
[3131.14] Jack: And then she's chatting and she and then she said like the dog ran off in that direction and it was the complete
[3137.54] Tony: Other way, do you know I find I find if you take a spare set of goggles or a screen
[3143.86] Tony: Yeah people who are angry normally come around to it and then start saying hey, man
[3148.9] Tony: This is bloody cool. Look and then you stick a set of goggles on their face and they end up loving it. Yeah
[3155.3] Mr Steele: Sorry
[3156.5] Mr Steele: You know, I just picture like this guy that can't even barely speak on
[3161.7] Mr Steele: Just like basically that's how I picture really intense english people when they get excited
[3169.46] Tony: I'll try to
[3173.94] Jack: Yeah
[3175.94] Jack: I don't know whether anyone wants to post in the chat and stuff about the kickstarter
[3180.66] Jack: crowdfund
[3183.7] Mr Steele: Yeah, get you guys over here, but yeah, you'll you can does anybody in the chat have any questions?
[3188.9] Jack: Are there things that yeah questions, please gabe said I got told off whilst flying in a pride
[3195.14] Jack: Private field by some posh twat. So I buzzed them with my wing when they walked away
[3199.86] Tony: Okay
[3203.62] Jack: You're a gob shot
[3206.66] Jack: Can we feel said can we please schedule your flying time?
[3211.78] Tony: Um, and leo says they see you in ibf because he's managed to get a ticket out there
[3216.98] Mr Steele: Yeah, I've heard the ibs the thing actually, I don't even know I know i'm going according to roto riot
[3222.02] Mr Steele: But I don't know when or what's happening
[3224.34] Mr Steele: But yeah
[3225.06] Mr Steele: I mean, I guess we can talk about the the whole traveling the world thing because like obviously this was
[3230.66] Mr Steele: The original plan and I don't I think we got it off topic before I even finished the idea was
[3236.5] Mr Steele: When I was talking about in the beginning when everything was different for me with roto riot and how I can't hold a 9 to 5
[3242.02] Mr Steele: Job and like everyone else is different like tommy's growing up in the corporate world working
[3247.78] Mr Steele: In california. He's he had a really high paying job and he just recently quit it and now works at
[3252.9] Mr Steele: works at roto riot as like basically the
[3255.44] Mr Steele: Coordinator and manager and he works for lauren international, which is basically the owner of roto riot
[3261.22] Mr Steele: Which is just a large rubber extrusion company that buys companies
[3264.98] Mr Steele: um, or or this one flight test was sold to and chad ended up working there because he sold his he sold flight tests and
[3272.74] Mr Steele: um
[3273.78] Mr Steele: Chat, uh, what is it capper?
[3275.86] Mr Steele: I forget his cap capstone stone cap
[3278.9] Mr Steele: Yeah, so he sold it to them and they liked the what his work so much
[3282.18] Mr Steele: They wanted him as just like an advisor there then he started roto riot and kind of so it's like all within one company
[3288.66] Mr Steele: That's who's kind of funding that sound like someone lost a finger
[3292.26] Adam: Yeah
[3294.82] Jack: Smokey said bird watchers. I have a problem with and then leo said my neighbor hates me
[3300.98] Jack: I'm loving the questions guys
[3303.46] Mr Steele: But um, yeah, so it's essentially tommy works there now and he gets paid like a salary
[3310.58] Mr Steele: Chad is eventually going to work there when he gets his visa worked out
[3313.94] Mr Steele: But all of this stuff is already planned and carlos is kind of one of these guys
[3317.7] Mr Steele: He's already making great money and he doesn't need to work for roto riot and he loves what he does
[3323.06] Mr Steele: So they he's not really a huge priority as far as getting on
[3327.12] Mr Steele: Immediately because he loves what he does at dreamworks
[3329.78] Mr Steele: So it's like, you know, you're not going to drag someone away from something that they love
[3334.02] Mr Steele: especially but with a pay cut so
[3337.22] Mr Steele: Anyway, so my whole story was like how do you how do I get paid to do this?
[3342.9] Mr Steele: Because I do a lot of work. I do a lot of emotion
[3345.94] Mr Steele: And yeah, I do get flown around and stuff like that
[3348.42] Mr Steele: But it's usually all for promotional stuff or roto riot and making episodes and whatnot
[3352.74] Mr Steele: Yeah, I get to have fun
[3354.18] Mr Steele: But at the end of the day like I need to be able to put food on the table
[3357.86] Mr Steele: like I can't just go out and have fun all of my life and then not
[3361.62] Mr Steele: Not be able to feed myself because I go out and have too much fun
[3365.46] Mr Steele: So that was the whole thing with figuring out what the hell i'm gonna do
[3369.7] Mr Steele: And i'm always constantly trying to figure out things that I can do and one of my original ideas
[3376.02] Mr Steele: And I kind of thought like after watching fpv for, you know, almost a year and a half and seeing how
[3381.12] Mr Steele: exclusive people were like no one knows who boris is no one knows who carlos is and then
[3386.18] Mr Steele: roto riot comes out and it kind of gives
[3388.18] Mr Steele: A face to like four pilots that people don't really know and they kind of know them
[3393.14] Mr Steele: Like if you based everything off of roto riot
[3395.62] Mr Steele: Um, you would kind of get a feeling for the guys
[3398.1] Mr Steele: Like you understand a little bit about tommy you would understand a little bit about me
[3401.78] Mr Steele: But honestly like when I watch roto riot, I actually
[3404.9] Mr Steele: I'm completely different person when i'm on roto riot for some reason like very rarely am I am I actually in my own?
[3411.54] Mr Steele: Um shoes, I would say like i'm never walking because and it may be just the way that it's edited because I am that way
[3418.1] Mr Steele: When we're together, but the way that I see that it's edited
[3420.82] Mr Steele: It feels like i'm not the same person that I usually am like in my vlogs and whatnot
[3426.02] Mr Steele: so
[3426.98] Mr Steele: I just kind of realized after watching a couple of roto riot episodes and saying look
[3430.98] Mr Steele: I mean i'm like that but i'm not I can see where people are taking this in a row like a way that's
[3436.74] Mr Steele: Like i'm shy or something or I don't do certain things or i'm defiant like yes
[3441.7] Mr Steele: I'm defiant but I have logic behind my defiance. I don't just randomly
[3446.02] Mr Steele: Go up and say people and like fly around them and circle them and stuff
[3449.94] Mr Steele: There's usually a reason why I do that in the way that it's portrayed
[3453.62] Mr Steele: Um on some of the episodes. It was just like i'm this defiant young teenager that just hates the world
[3459.86] Mr Steele: so
[3460.9] Mr Steele: And I started watching vlogging channels like I stumbled upon this guy named john hill
[3464.34] Mr Steele: That's a skateboard vlogger and i've watched this channel
[3467.3] Jack: Um, dude, yeah, check out check out braille skate, man. It's so funny
[3472.34] Jack: They um, yeah, definitely you can get some ideas for that like people
[3477.14] Jack: They have these things called like, uh, you make it we skate it
[3481.46] Jack: and yeah, oh
[3483.46] Jack: it's so good as well because you could do that because like we had the let's drone out games and
[3490.1] Jack: Someone made a tupperware quad and I think that would be something really funny
[3494.58] Jack: Where like this tupperware quad was like, you know, completely waterproof had a servo tester
[3500.02] Jack: So I had like a little windscreen wiper and they were flying it out in the rain and um, it was very funny
[3506.42] Jack: You guys like, you know drilling some
[3509.38] Jack: uh
[3511.22] Jack: Some alien arms to an ipad and flying an ipad and stuff. I think that would be really funny
[3516.98] Mr Steele: Yeah
[3518.02] Mr Steele: Yeah, so I mean just watching that and understanding that people really like personality and they like it's I mean
[3523.94] Mr Steele: It's kind of like so many this generation is so many people in this generation are getting away from tv
[3529.14] Mr Steele: That it's more along the lines of what entertains people these days because everyone's on social media every day
[3534.82] Mr Steele: So like what are they doing if they're not watching tv?
[3538.02] Mr Steele: And what they're doing is either they're watching youtube or they're scrolling through their social media
[3542.5] Mr Steele: facebook or instagram looking for content that's like that excites them and
[3547.86] Mr Steele: I kind of look at youtube as like a way to basically be like a netflix original series
[3553.14] Mr Steele: But it's never ending so like if you go on netflix and you want to watch a show and it's like, all right
[3558.26] Mr Steele: Well, there's like six seasons and once i'm done with those six seasons. It's like wow. Yeah. Okay, that was cool
[3562.74] Mr Steele: I want another one, but they ended it
[3565.38] Mr Steele: Well, this is like
[3566.74] Mr Steele: A documentary that never ends you get new content every day or new content every week
[3572.66] Mr Steele: And it just you never know what to expect. There's no there's no like
[3577.14] Mr Steele: promotion for it
[3578.1] Mr Steele: It just kind of pops up you watch it and it's like someone's life and if you
[3582.9] Mr Steele: It's sad to me, but it's also intriguing how so many people
[3587.22] Mr Steele: Like watching other people do stuff
[3589.86] Mr Steele: So it's like, you know, and it might just be an inspiration thing like wow. This guy is like
[3596.18] Mr Steele: Makes a lot of money or this guy has a lot of fun. He does a lot of extreme things or wow. It's almost like
[3603.38] Mr Steele: People's lives are boring and I think
[3606.5] Tony: It's like you can choose what you want to watch, you know
[3608.9] Tony: The tv puts on this is what you've got to watch
[3611.94] Tony: But youtube you can choose what you want to watch you can choose who you want to sub to you know
[3617.62] Jae: Yeah, I think it's also the inspiration that people get from other people's stuff that they do
[3623.7] Jack: For me, um, you can tell me to fuck off still by the way
[3628.82] Jack: um
[3629.86] Jack: I had this other podcast and i'm like you I
[3634.58] Jack: I I listen back to that podcast and I kind of play a character which is an like
[3640.58] Jack: More eccentric version of myself, which I don't mind this kind of
[3645.62] Jack: I know
[3646.82] Jack: I know that that person is in me and it was my way of like coping with doing this
[3654.58] Jack: like first
[3655.7] Jack: Podcast project because it's kind of weird like having this microphone stuffed in your face and you know
[3660.98] Jack: You don't want to give out like your personal details and like give away sort of like
[3665.78] Jack: A part of you or like it's a good way to like defend yourself because people like people will make up this sort of
[3673.54] Jack: Their vision of who you are. Yep. Do you know what I mean? Because like if you look at
[3678.42] Jack: Chad at the beginning
[3680.42] Jack: He was you know, he's a lot more shyer and stuff in in rote riot
[3684.26] Jack: But now he's kind of become more like you, you know, he's wearing the the shark hat. He is giving his
[3690.56] Jack: opinion on like
[3692.42] Jack: The he's always been like that
[3694.42] Mr Steele: He just never was voicing it in there
[3696.66] Mr Steele: There is a good reason because I think if you don't have if you don't have credibility what you say doesn't matter
[3702.66] Mr Steele: So a lot of people I see this a lot where you'll see a guy come out of nowhere
[3708.42] Mr Steele: He'll post in a group
[3710.02] Mr Steele: He has no one knows who he is or what he does or maybe he has like, I don't know
[3714.98] Mr Steele: 300 subscribers on youtube and he's posted like 40 videos
[3719.14] Mr Steele: And he's an okay pilot, but he comes out and he posts that this is like the life changing
[3724.58] Mr Steele: thing
[3725.38] Mr Steele: And like yeah
[3726.34] Mr Steele: you're gonna have people that agree with him because they've
[3729.06] Mr Steele: Done similar things
[3729.94] Mr Steele: But you're gonna have a lot of people that disagree with him because they don't trust his credibility and that's
[3734.58] Mr Steele: What I think needed to be built first before your voice actually means anything and chad and I were kind of in that same boat
[3741.54] Mr Steele: Like in the beginning carlos was there
[3744.66] Mr Steele: Oh my god, man
[3747.46] Jack: I was literally like a mic in your mouth. Yeah, welcome to let's try now. That hurt my ears. Was that you jack?
[3757.7] Tony: We got quite a lot of um questions
[3762.66] Jack: Okay, go ahead
[3765.46] Jack: Davine says question mr. Still
[3767.78] Jack: uh hashtag pred
[3770.5] Jack: predator the penetrator
[3773.3] Jack: Peter I think I can answer this
[3775.3] Jack: Yeah, peter. Torena. Torena santana more. Do you just use a pigtail with an sma?
[3780.82] Jack: Five db antenna. Yeah, probably. Yep. That's it. Just start on
[3786.02] Tony: That's that one phil lawrence. Ask
[3788.18] Tony: Um after going from six inch, um blades to five and increasing the kv. What does still think is next?
[3799.47] Tony: um
[3800.59] Tony: more power
[3802.67] Tony: More power a lot more more battery
[3806.03] Mr Steele: The idea is that you want it to be small light nimble and I think we found the sweet spot for weight
[3812.67] Mr Steele: And I don't see there being a change in like weight
[3817.07] Mr Steele: As far as like obviously you can get lighter
[3819.95] Mr Steele: Um, but you lose some of that durability and the whole point of these things is you can go out and crash them and nothing happens
[3825.63] Mr Steele: so until either material
[3828.03] Mr Steele: Changes to where we can get something lighter better. Maybe like a higher grade carbon
[3832.59] Mr Steele: But people are going to want to they're going to have to spend more money, which is like probably not going to happen
[3837.63] Mr Steele: Um, I don't see it really changing anything
[3841.13] Mr Steele: Jurassic until maybe the battery technology changes probably in the next three to five years. Obviously we can
[3847.47] Mr Steele: You can tap out battery technology just like five percent or two percent every year
[3853.39] Mr Steele: Like I will say that when I first tried an smc over thunder power
[3857.07] Mr Steele: Which I thought thunder power was the best batteries on the market and then I tried smc i'm like wow
[3860.99] Mr Steele: This is a really nice battery
[3863.07] Mr Steele: And i've been working with smc guy danny for like almost a six to eight months now trying to get
[3869.23] Mr Steele: Another battery to come out and he came out with the 1400 extreme
[3873.55] Mr Steele: And it's a great battery, but thunder power came out with the battery around the same time their adrenaline series
[3879.71] Mr Steele: And it's lighter and I honestly think it's
[3882.75] Mr Steele: If it's not as powerful, it's just slightly under like I think the 1400 since it's a bigger battery
[3888.27] Mr Steele: Can handle a little bit more amp draw for a little bit longer
[3891.07] Mr Steele: So it's like a better racing battery
[3893.07] Mr Steele: but for me like what I do the old smc or this thunder power pack are really the ones that I
[3899.95] Mr Steele: See myself flying like I I fly those the 1400 right now, but it's just
[3905.15] Mr Steele: I can tell it's not
[3907.47] Mr Steele: I don't have as much confidence
[3909.47] Mr Steele: In it as I do with other packs as far as control just because it's a little bit heavier
[3915.39] Mr Steele: um, and I don't know it just doesn't feel the same as like a lighter like something that's 15 grams lighter which people are like
[3921.87] Mr Steele: No, you can't even feel the difference
[3923.39] Mr Steele: but
[3924.19] Mr Steele: I can put on one pack and I fly a certain way and I can put on another and I fly a certain way so
[3931.47] Tony: Have you find the um new seven inch quad from tbs
[3935.95] Mr Steele: I have not i've been telling trappy to send me one
[3938.19] Mr Steele: But the problem is is since crossfire is kind of a bust down here in the
[3942.91] Mr Steele: Southeastern u.s. Then it's like what am I going to do with it other than fly around for?
[3948.51] Mr Steele: 10 minutes or something real like proximity flying for 10 minutes
[3954.43] Jack: Well, i mean
[3955.63] Jack: That in three martinez asked does steel have a seven inch. I think he's talking about your trousers
[3966.35] Jack: I think he was talking about the tbs as well. I don't know he's a fossil stuff pilot. I think he'll appreciate that
[3972.99] Jack: um
[3976.35] Jack: No, yeah seven inch long range quad is dope
[3981.15] Jack: Yeah, these guys are just talking to themselves now
[3984.99] Jack: Do they even know where up? Yeah, what about drl? They make great vid
[3991.39] Jack: Oh god, do you want to talk about the gates of hell?
[3994.99] Mr Steele: That's old. They made a new video recently that I haven't watched because I could give a shit
[4000.51] Mr Steele: Less about what they're doing because they're not doing anything for the community and I feel like the same way I feel about air views except
[4008.67] Mr Steele: Um, I don't think I hold
[4011.07] Mr Steele: Air views as low as I hold drl
[4014.27] Mr Steele: um, and these are all like personal opinions like obviously they probably are doing something and they're
[4020.59] Mr Steele: gonna make money and like whatever but you know, you gotta
[4024.43] Mr Steele: You gotta call a spade a spade and they're literally just trying to milk the industry
[4029.23] Mr Steele: for what it's not worth by taking pilots that
[4033.07] Mr Steele: are making dollars on the like pennies on the dollar for
[4037.47] Mr Steele: Um flying essentially because really everyone in the end wants to be making money doing what they love
[4042.67] Mr Steele: That's like the goal of every single person in this hobby the people that earn drl
[4047.55] Mr Steele: Don't do this hobby. So they're just in it for making money. They don't care about the people the community
[4053.39] Mr Steele: They don't care about the pilots
[4055.23] Mr Steele: So when people come to me like all these pilots that are all for the community
[4059.63] Mr Steele: The guys that are all involved with drl and they're like, yeah, man, it was so sick
[4063.63] Mr Steele: We got paid like ten dollars a day to go out here and fly in this abandoned place and they
[4068.19] Mr Steele: Put me on them like a red eye flight out there because they couldn't afford to put me on like this one flight
[4072.99] Mr Steele: Like I could see it differently if they were flying people out first class and they were paying it in premium money
[4078.75] Mr Steele: And they were like I could see if they were putting up the pilots giving them a legitimate equipment
[4084.67] Mr Steele: Um, but no they give you a dog of aircraft. They fly out on whatever's convenient for them
[4090.91] Mr Steele: Um, I mean, I don't know. I just don't
[4094.43] Adam: Who's going to watch it?
[4096.51] Mr Steele: that I don't know maybe uh
[4099.63] Adam: I don't know not anybody in the industry. I can't imagine they have a huge budget because
[4104.35] Adam: There's people in the industry who aren't going to watch it because they don't like, you know, as you say
[4108.99] Adam: The sort of the aircraft and and all the rest of it and then there's everyone else who's who's not going to watch it
[4114.19] Adam: because I mean why
[4116.99] Mr Steele: I think it's like they're going after that gimmicky like american ninja warrior thing
[4122.11] Adam: Yeah, I think it feels like they don't even believe in it at all. They just know that if you shout drone for a year or two
[4129.47] Adam: Um, you know something will happen
[4131.55] Mr Steele: yeah, I think you're in I think that is a very good assumption of what they
[4136.27] Mr Steele: what they think because they've really just been kind of
[4139.71] Mr Steele: They'll basically put something out realize that it got no traction at all and sucked complete balls
[4145.31] Mr Steele: And they spend a lot of money on it
[4146.51] Mr Steele: And then they'll wait six months and see what else happens in the industry and all those guys will drift away to another thing
[4151.55] Adam: And then there'll be you know, and then they'll be shouting about virtual reality and then they'll go away again
[4155.63] Adam: And you know, whatever else it'll be, you know, yeah
[4159.07] Mr Steele: Yeah, I mean right now the whole this there's like this big hype with the hd
[4163.15] Mr Steele: downlink like it's going to take over analog and stuff and
[4167.07] Mr Steele: That's not going to happen. I mean I can tell you that right now. Not in the near future
[4171.47] Jae: Um, not
[4173.23] Mr Steele: It's just not affordable. It doesn't have the same kind of reception characteristics
[4178.91] Mr Steele: And it's also huge. So I mean it'll get there eventually but
[4183.07] Mr Steele: it's like
[4184.11] Mr Steele: I mean it's like in the 80s or something someone owned a
[4187.63] Mr Steele: PC and they were like this is gonna change the world
[4191.63] Mr Steele: And it did but it took 20 years
[4194.49] Jae: batteries and you know, like all the the cameras and the you know video systems they're all
[4200.11] Jae: Taking little steps forward. So at the end of the day, it's all progress
[4203.15] Jae: But I think people are expecting too much from new attack too soon
[4207.79] Jack: Yeah, but it's progress. Yeah
[4209.79] Jack: Um guys just wanna say hang on. Um
[4214.43] Jack: Massive shout out to daniel carboni for pledging to our patreon
[4219.47] Jack: Um, put youtube i'll add it to the uh, um info
[4224.91] Jack: on the video
[4226.27] Jack: um
[4227.15] Jack: and erwin lemon just said
[4230.67] Jack: Um, I got a bit annoyed by his vid flying over a graveyard
[4236.03] Jack: um
[4237.63] Jack: Okay
[4239.23] Jack: I think that's to do with the dr out
[4242.43] Mr Steele: No, that's with me. I flew over a graveyard. That was been
[4246.19] Mr Steele: that's been like
[4248.09] Mr Steele: Sanctioned for over a hundred years. There hasn't been a burial in there in a hundred years
[4253.37] Mr Steele: It was a graveyard building. So everyone was like really dead
[4257.13] Adam: Really dead. They're only like a day dead. That's that's really
[4260.65] Adam: But but if they're really definitely dead for sure and nobody
[4267.69] Mr Steele: So I mean I can be sure
[4270.65] Mr Steele: I can kind of talk about it a little bit because I know there were a lot of people that were like frustrated that I did
[4275.69] Mr Steele: that and it's like
[4277.77] Mr Steele: What's the safest place to fly ever?
[4281.61] Mr Steele: Well, probably where people are dead because nobody's going there
[4285.77] Mr Steele: so
[4286.89] Mr Steele: yeah, it might be disrespectful, um to some people but
[4293.29] Mr Steele: You got to think about it
[4294.33] Mr Steele: Like if it were a new graveyard at the back of a church and like church was in session or they had just done a grave
[4300.49] Mr Steele: Like they had just buried somebody and there's like people mourning in the in the cemetery
[4305.05] Mr Steele: I can see that problem
[4307.05] Mr Steele: If it's like an indian burial ground in some in utah or something
[4312.73] Mr Steele: And there's like an indian reservation on that area
[4317.05] Mr Steele: Honestly, the rest of the united states isn't going to give a shit
[4320.89] Mr Steele: but I would feel bad because the indians or not indians native americans have
[4326.65] Mr Steele: a certain aura about
[4328.81] Mr Steele: That particular area and they probably don't condone me flying there now when it comes to
[4335.45] Mr Steele: White males
[4337.21] Mr Steele: Which is pretty much what most people that are complaining and i'm a white male myself and this is why i'm defiant against them because
[4345.05] Mr Steele: um white male
[4347.05] Mr Steele: Just the united states in general has this mentality that
[4351.37] Mr Steele: If you don't if you're not christian or you don't believe in jesus or you don't do this certain thing then
[4357.93] Mr Steele: You can get the hell out of our country. Basically
[4361.05] Mr Steele: And i'm very defiant against that
[4364.09] Mr Steele: And I I think it's more along the lines of just
[4367.77] Mr Steele: people need to fucking learn how to
[4370.33] Mr Steele: understand what
[4372.33] Mr Steele: What is actually doing harm and what is not?
[4375.45] Mr Steele: Like if I if me flying over a graveyard inspires 50 people
[4380.25] Mr Steele: But pisses off 400 people
[4382.97] Mr Steele: Why are those people actually pissed off?
[4385.53] Mr Steele: And the positive that I got out of that even though it's smaller than the random people being pissed off at me because
[4392.17] Mr Steele: Maybe they're a certain religion and that's like bad to do in their country
[4398.17] Jae: No, I think it's probably because you've reminded those 400 people that haven't visited their relatives grave
[4403.21] Adam: Yeah, yeah and that they one day will have a grave of their own and they hope their relatives will visit them
[4409.53] Tony: And you were just dying to fly there, but i'm dish
[4414.25] Mr Steele: That is a joke from a long time ago
[4417.69] Jack: I I
[4419.77] Jack: Don't know because there is there is a graveyard over here
[4423.61] Jack: And I I thought about flying it, but I don't think I can bring myself
[4428.01] Jae: I know some fields that are caught graveyards
[4430.73] Mr Steele: I mean like what the world is a graveyard. Why does a human graveyard?
[4436.01] Mr Steele: mean anything
[4437.77] Mr Steele: If it's not in use
[4439.77] Jack: You know, I don't know. It's just like a peaceful place. I don't
[4443.13] Jack: I don't know
[4444.81] Mr Steele: Yeah, but if it was a phantom with some peaceful music, would it would you people have reacted the same way? Probably not
[4451.53] Jack: No, it probably would have pissed me off more
[4454.25] Jack: um
[4456.01] Jack: Yeah, you know at least at least the race squad's in and out, you know what I mean
[4461.53] Mr Steele: I flew multiple batteries there
[4463.21] Mr Steele: But I i'm just giving you like perspective if it was an inspire and someone was hired to go fly
[4468.73] Mr Steele: And it was like the intro to a scene where I don't know say like someone's family member
[4473.85] Mr Steele: Just died and they flew an inspire over the grave
[4476.89] Mr Steele: And they filmed during the recession or whatever you call it when they're burying them. Um, I don't know anything about
[4484.25] Mr Steele: dying people because
[4486.09] Mr Steele: I've been to many things but I don't I don't condone with matt religion stuff. So I don't
[4492.57] Mr Steele: Yeah, I don't do most of that. But anyways
[4495.29] Mr Steele: Yeah, I mean if it was an inspire doing like a documentary on death and it was flying around but
[4501.05] Adam: You didn't put permission permission or whatever
[4504.49] Mr Steele: But the permission has nothing to do with it
[4506.81] Mr Steele: It's more about the noise that people were they're like, dude, you're flying in a graveyard
[4511.77] Mr Steele: But if someone put like soft music to a video of an inspire
[4516.81] Adam: What if they were flying over graves but taking pictures for a wedding video because it was happening in a church
[4524.25] Adam: Yeah, you know that's someone gonna say you can't do uh, you know can't overfly a grave
[4528.89] Adam: And then it's gonna be like well, you can't I want pictures of me in the dress
[4532.97] Mr Steele: I mean, I guess I guess a good way to do this would just be to go back with a phantom fly over the same graveyard
[4538.97] Mr Steele: at the same time of day and edit it in a way that
[4543.53] Adam: Makes people somber and respectful
[4545.93] Mr Steele: Yeah, it gives the opposite opinion and then have b-roll of the fucking phantom going right
[4552.17] Mr Steele: Like flying around the fucking grave. That would be genuinely interesting
[4555.61] Adam: You see if you played the one and then the other and everyone's like, oh, yeah
[4558.57] Adam: This is acceptable and then you cut to the b-roll and everyone is suddenly. Oh, it's a disgrace
[4563.85] Mr Steele: Yeah, that's what that's what what happened. I'm gonna do it now
[4566.33] Mr Steele: So the people in here will look out for that fucking video because it's coming out
[4570.09] Jack: This is all my fault
[4571.69] Mr Steele: But i'm gonna take but i'm gonna take the written badass here. I might take care of the lame-haired jacks
[4576.81] Jack: Yeah, are you gonna title that jack from next drone out? You're a dickhead or just no i'll title it. Um
[4584.49] Mr Steele: Um, i'll title it, uh as a bird flies through a somber graveyard in summer evening or something stupid
[4590.73] Mr Steele: No, you need something like that. Oh
[4593.77] Mr Steele: And then i'll title another one
[4595.77] Mr Steele: Dji phantom flies through graveyard at 100 miles an hour and then it's the same footage
[4601.05] Mr Steele: But just so the different title and different music and it'll fucking completely blow people's minds
[4606.01] Jack: Please please make it like king diamond or something on that video
[4610.57] Jack: Okay
[4611.85] Jack: You'll you'll have mad respect. Um, I just want to say that this is the worst day of my life. Neil Cody
[4618.89] Jack: Thank you
[4619.93] Jack: Yeah, big shout big shout out to Neil
[4623.69] Jack: Yeah, and also screw you he just donated 50 dollars per month. That means that jack has to get up
[4631.29] Jack: Uh and and be less lazy and making get off his butt and make some shirts
[4636.17] Jack: You'll get a limited edition t-shirt signed by all the hosts
[4640.09] Tony: Hey
[4642.33] Tony: Cheers, Neil
[4643.53] Jack: But this roar roar does come with a consequence that jack now hates you and will complain about you on the show
[4652.25] Jack: I love your store. I no longer love you
[4655.61] Tony: I do I do because you're getting off his ass. Yeah, so
[4660.65] Jack: When when when you die Neil if I live longer than you I will fly at your grave now
[4667.29] Jack: With a phantom up and down landing on your grave
[4672.41] Adam: So, uh, you've had let's let's hope it's like a phantom 700 not like in the near future, right? Yeah, yeah, totally
[4681.05] Jack: so yeah, you're
[4683.85] Jack: Stop you i've actually got a make
[4688.09] Jack: Oh
[4693.21] Jack: Someone please donate 100 so tony has to get naked
[4696.81] Tony: I didn't even agree to this. I haven't even seen this or signed any contracts. No
[4702.97] Adam: 100 100 pounds or 100 dollars or 100 dollars. Yeah, someone does that dollars
[4709.61] Tony: That's like it's only like 90 quid I can afford that
[4719.69] Jack: Still you gotta do it man
[4721.77] Jack: What am I doing?
[4723.21] Tony: You're getting naked. Let's run out. Um
[4726.41] Adam: I think that we might be heading towards the end of today's broadcast
[4732.65] Jack: Also mad respect for the
[4736.01] Jack: um
[4737.13] Jack: 28
[4738.49] Jack: drones later day reference because that's a british film and do you like horror?
[4744.73] Jack: And I love resident evil and I just wondered are you the same?
[4750.89] Mr Steele: What are you talking to me, yeah, yeah, yeah, what about horror
[4756.25] Jack: Uh, you made the you know phantom chasing. Oh, yeah girlfriend
[4761.61] Jack: Yeah, I just wondered. Yeah, are you a horror fan?
[4764.81] Jack: I like resident evil. I just wondered you know, I mean I like resident evil
[4769.45] Mr Steele: But I don't like go out of my way to watch them on on like my free time or anything
[4774.01] Jack: No, that's fine. You play that game when we're definitely not talking about the films
[4778.33] Jack: You play resident evil
[4780.01] Mr Steele: Uh, yeah, I played I played two on ps
[4784.73] Mr Steele: Two I think and it was like the scariest thing ever
[4788.33] Jack: Oh, it's the best
[4789.93] Jack: Leon's cool player's cool
[4792.97] Jack: A disco
[4794.41] Jack: Sherry's annoying
[4795.85] Jack: But yeah, I I god I love resident evil one two three
[4800.97] Jack: Four and that's it and it's let's resident evil out
[4805.77] Jack: Yeah, I don't care. No, it inspires me. I don't know, you know
[4810.57] Jack: No
[4811.61] Jack: I gotta think of something now
[4813.61] Jack: You know, I definitely want to get more creative for my videos
[4816.33] Adam: Have you played the last of us jack if you like?
[4819.21] Jack: Uh, I watched yeah, I watched a play through of that, but we're getting dangerously off topic again
[4826.73] Mr Steele: Dude this is sick
[4829.45] Mr Steele: I'm looking i'm looking at something on facebook right now. It's called like the phantom four falcon edition kit
[4836.73] Mr Steele: And it's like put the link in the chat
[4840.25] Mr Steele: Put the link in the chat so we can all know how much it is. It's
[4843.85] Mr Steele: It's got to be expensive
[4846.81] Mr Steele: Oh, it's three thousand dollars
[4850.81] Jack: What happened I heard a rumor and I don't know whether it's true
[4854.97] Jack: um
[4856.57] Jack: Hang on. What's the deal with air views would love for steel to elaborate from bsm web
[4866.27] Mr Steele: Is that paul or?
[4867.95] Jack: Yeah, yeah, apparently from gabe
[4871.23] Jack: Paul's got paul's got me on skype. I don't know why he just don't message me direct on
[4876.83] Mr Steele: Facebook. Is that thomas or paul? Like who he said game who's gabe?
[4881.23] Jack: gabe
[4883.15] Jack: Yeah, one of our lads
[4884.75] Jack: Want he's he's part of the trusted inner circle
[4888.35] Mr Steele: Okay, so he basically wants to know what's up with air views. Yeah
[4895.07] Mr Steele: I mean I just posted something recently about um
[4898.83] Mr Steele: I asked it. I asked a question. I didn't even
[4901.95] Mr Steele: Accuse anything of anything. I can read it for you
[4905.47] Mr Steele: It's basically a question about air views
[4908.75] Mr Steele: Um, if the if I thought they were I asked people what they thought of air views and it turned into this like epic
[4916.01] Mr Steele: explosion of things on the rotor riot page
[4921.64] Mr Steele: Hold on i'm finding it
[4923.72] Jack: I also heard that you got a lot of hate from the dji fans about what you've done and your sacrilege
[4930.84] Jack: to
[4931.88] Jack: the
[4932.92] Jack: the phantom
[4935.4] Mr Steele: I don't know about hate true. I got 40 000 views in a week on a phantom flying in a parking lot
[4942.2] Mr Steele: I don't know if that's considered hate
[4944.2] Jack: Yeah, no, I don't know i'm wrong. My sources are wrong
[4949.64] Jack: Were they the ones inside your head
[4951.64] Jack: Yeah, totally
[4953.32] Mr Steele: Yeah, I don't know where you got all those sources
[4957.08] Jack: Don't worry you get used to it jack talks a load of shit
[4960.84] Jack: That doesn't know what's going on anymore
[4963.88] Jack: without frank telling him
[4966.6] Adam: Yeah, we are
[4967.88] Adam: without frank, we're what?
[4970.6] Adam: Two hours past the normal finishing time. Uh, we we've had a few drifts off topic we've um
[4978.2] Jack: Not sure how to make some t-shirts
[4980.76] Jack: Thanks. Yeah, this is a long one
[4982.84] Jack: Yeah
[4984.6] Adam: Okay, so I said
[4987.56] Mr Steele: I said, hey guys, uh
[4989.8] Mr Steele: I have some questions. Do you think air views is going to take over the drone video internet space?
[4995.0] Mr Steele: I have mixed feelings about this company and what they're actually bringing to the industry
[4998.92] Mr Steele: It seems everything they do is based around cornering the market and putting themselves into the spotlight
[5004.36] Mr Steele: obviously more exposure is needed to grow a brand but paying pilots small amounts of money and
[5010.92] Mr Steele: That had large youtube followings to exclusively upload to airviews.com
[5015.32] Mr Steele: This seems a little wrong and honestly, I think it's detrimental to upcoming pilots growth and gaining
[5020.68] Mr Steele: Momentum brand or gaining brand momentum
[5023.72] Mr Steele: Let me know what you think if you think air views is is doing good or just sucking a life from the industry
[5029.64] Mr Steele: And it's pilots steel and I basically put a picture of the thing from stranger things the uh
[5036.2] Mr Steele: Jet whatever's I don't know what it's called. Yeah
[5039.08] Mr Steele: And uh, and I and I put their logo over the top of the picture
[5043.88] Mr Steele: And it's got like 130 comments and they're all long-winded comments. They're not just normal like
[5052.36] Mr Steele: Whatever short comments and I basically put it up there because I see
[5056.36] Mr Steele: And the reason I did this was because I don't know if you guys remember but about three months ago
[5062.84] Mr Steele: um
[5064.12] Mr Steele: Like maddie maddie stunts was gaining a lot of popularity really quickly. Yeah
[5069.72] Mr Steele: And then all of a sudden he just like fell off the face of the earth and I was like
[5073.16] Mr Steele: What what happened like where'd he go? What what does he do in these days?
[5077.8] Mr Steele: and then I kind of stumbled upon
[5081.32] Mr Steele: him
[5082.2] Mr Steele: on
[5082.92] Mr Steele: Airviews because I was curious because someone had told me that a couple people had started exclusively posting on airviews like I think kenneth lu
[5091.64] Mr Steele: uh
[5092.44] Mr Steele: Flying bear and then that conrad dude
[5095.16] Mr Steele: I think all of those guys post on airviews right pretty regularly and I was curious as to what kind of
[5100.18] Mr Steele: Subscription the following they were getting and I was looking at their videos and stuff and like they're getting like 40 views
[5108.12] Mr Steele: 50 views maybe 100 views
[5111.64] Mr Steele: Which is almost impossible on youtube if you have more than
[5115.72] Mr Steele: 10 subscribers
[5117.88] Mr Steele: Um because these videos had been out for months. These were not just like new videos
[5124.04] Mr Steele: And I kind of looked at my because I have an account on there had I completely deleted it because I was
[5129.8] Mr Steele: Before I posted that I was like, well i'm gonna completely
[5132.92] Mr Steele: disassociate myself from this
[5135.96] Mr Steele: whole thing before I post this because i'm pretty sure people are gonna cry
[5140.6] Mr Steele: and
[5141.56] Mr Steele: Yeah, I mean I just was curious as to why people that had a significant following on youtube and had significant view counts
[5149.96] Mr Steele: Were dropping their youtube channels and going to this
[5153.48] Mr Steele: This platform that essentially is floundering right now
[5158.04] Mr Steele: um
[5159.32] Mr Steele: And I was just curious why people would do that
[5162.12] Mr Steele: I mean, I I don't have any problem with airviews as a company or as the people that run it
[5168.04] Mr Steele: They're all pretty cool people and i've had good conversations with them
[5171.24] Mr Steele: But when it comes to taking away from the community by taking some of its
[5176.58] Mr Steele: Cornerstone pilots away
[5178.84] Mr Steele: Not cornerstone, but you know, like trusted people that are in the community
[5183.8] Mr Steele: Um that are basically
[5186.12] Mr Steele: Singling themselves out by going to this platform because they're getting paid. I think for what i've been told about 500 dollars
[5193.64] Mr Steele: um a month for two videos a month, which is I mean, that's good money, but
[5199.64] Mr Steele: You're losing all of the
[5201.72] Mr Steele: The following that you had you're losing the views that you were getting you're you're losing that credibility you're losing people commenting
[5207.96] Mr Steele: You're losing your spotlight
[5210.04] Mr Steele: per se
[5211.56] Mr Steele: And is that worth 500 a month and i've had multiple people argue that point with me saying well
[5217.08] Mr Steele: yeah, they're getting paid to do what they love but
[5219.88] Mr Steele: that's like getting a
[5221.8] Mr Steele: Like a welfare check or something in the mail like it's it's enough, but it's not enough to do
[5227.32] Mr Steele: anything with like
[5229.32] Mr Steele: If you need 500 extra a month and it's worth ruining your reputation
[5234.44] Mr Steele: then
[5235.56] Mr Steele: Cool, but I don't think any of these people are in that kind of situation
[5239.48] Jack: Or he might not care about his reputation
[5242.76] Mr Steele: No, all all of these people care about their reputation all the people that have switched airviews
[5247.56] Mr Steele: They're hoping that they're getting more
[5249.96] Mr Steele: Traffic through air views because air views is promoting their videos. But in reality like don't promote their permit
[5256.36] Mr Steele: Yeah
[5256.52] Mr Steele: They well
[5257.4] Mr Steele: I don't even know if the views are real because a lot of the views that I see they'll have one video that's got like
[5262.82] Mr Steele: 10,000 views and then they'll have another video that's got 10
[5266.04] Mr Steele: So like did 10,000 people watch a video or did say say 5,000 people say someone everyone watched it twice
[5273.48] Mr Steele: Say out of 5,000 people that watched that video
[5275.56] Mr Steele: They didn't think that it was cool enough to go look at the person's profile and maybe follow them or watch another one of their videos
[5283.16] Jack: Yeah
[5284.2] Mr Steele: So it just it kind of astounds me at how these people
[5288.6] Mr Steele: are
[5289.24] Mr Steele: giving up really and it it also is funny because it's it's actually kind of hilarious how
[5296.04] Mr Steele: most of the people that are affiliated with air views are affiliated with zrl and most of the people that are affiliated with the rl or
[5303.08] Mr Steele: They're all kind of like
[5305.24] Mr Steele: They don't like
[5306.68] Mr Steele: Roto riot. They don't like what what i'm doing. They don't like what charpeau is doing. They don't they have a problem with
[5314.36] Mr Steele: like what most people in the community are
[5317.56] Mr Steele: Essentially looking up to which is having fun and using reliable
[5322.52] Mr Steele: things using reliable rigs, but
[5325.56] Mr Steele: I don't know if that's a reality or maybe it's just a picture i've painted in my head. Do you guys see any of that?
[5331.0] Jae: No, i can't say i do see that much
[5336.57] Jae: um
[5338.41] Jae: I think the other thing on youtube is it's easier for it will start showing up your next videos if you leave it these days
[5344.73] Jae: Or at least related videos
[5346.89] Jae: And to be honest, it's a trusted platform. Yeah, why would you start?
[5352.65] Adam: Yeah, what it's you know
[5355.53] Adam: When a satellite channel buys a tv show lots of people stop watching it, don't they?
[5361.37] Adam: Exactly. It's the same thing. It's a microcosm of the what sort of happens
[5369.02] Mr Steele: yeah, but
[5370.94] Mr Steele: Yeah, the industry is so small. Like why would you even well exactly no, I think I think you're right
[5378.14] Adam: Imagine just you know going into a hole where suddenly 10 people are looking at your stuff. Yeah
[5385.74] Adam: And you're and you're barred from the main medium
[5389.18] Mr Steele: Of like like, all right here. Here's a great example
[5393.02] Mr Steele: Um, let me bring him up on youtube as well. Just just uh, just as an example so that you can see what i'm talking about
[5400.94] Mr Steele: uh
[5404.81] Jack: Um pull from bs
[5407.93] Jack: Is it bm?
[5410.57] Jack: Yeah
[5411.53] Jack: Thanks deal for the explanation don't think most of us realized
[5417.37] Jack: This exclusive deal was happening
[5419.69] Mr Steele: Yeah, so I don't really think it's I mean, well, I thought it was exclusive until the point that I saw
[5426.65] Mr Steele: um
[5427.85] Mr Steele: I saw like
[5429.21] Mr Steele: Or the the ceo of the company mike israel actually went on there and commented. I didn't read the comment but
[5435.37] Mr Steele: You know, whatever apparently it's not
[5437.61] Mr Steele: Um, it's not exclusive but the thing is is they're not going to promote
[5443.13] Mr Steele: A video that's posted on another platform. So like i'll give you a give you a great example
[5448.09] Mr Steele: There's a guy named keneth lu his name is flying bear. Correct. Do you guys know him?
[5452.49] Jack: Nope. Nope
[5454.49] Mr Steele: Okay. Well regardless
[5456.09] Mr Steele: He was kind of someone that was up and coming in the industry like he has a name for himself
[5460.09] Mr Steele: He's usually featured on like he's a drl pilot like he does certain stuff
[5465.85] Mr Steele: anyways
[5467.05] Mr Steele: He has a youtube account. He's posted 230 videos. He's got about a thousand subscribers
[5472.25] Mr Steele: his average view count is between 100 and
[5475.99] Mr Steele: 300 views
[5478.01] Mr Steele: and
[5479.05] Mr Steele: He's got a thousand people and let's just click on one of his most recent videos that he posted two days ago and see if he's got
[5485.05] Mr Steele: Any comments, so he's got 19 likes and he's got one comment
[5488.81] Mr Steele: Like people are actually commenting and interacting with him on his content
[5493.21] Mr Steele: Um, so on air views, which is he's a sponsored air views pilot. He's supposed to only promote his air views stuff
[5499.93] Mr Steele: He's got 59 followers, which equates to 59 subscribers
[5505.21] Mr Steele: he's subscribed to 24 people and
[5510.01] Mr Steele: The video he posted three days ago
[5513.21] Mr Steele: Has 28 views the video he posted seven days ago has 59 views the video
[5518.41] Mr Steele: He posted two weeks ago has 200 views the video he posted 22 days ago has 57 views
[5525.29] Mr Steele: So not no video i'm looking on his whole thing right here has over 300 views
[5531.45] Mr Steele: But he's posting posting these videos on
[5536.49] Mr Steele: Like social media and repping the company, but he's not getting any traction. Basically. Well, he's doing better than me or my multi-driver videos
[5547.29] Mr Steele: Well, I mean
[5549.37] Mr Steele: I'm just giving you an example of someone that's like
[5553.05] Mr Steele: That actually genuinely
[5555.29] Mr Steele: Like was someone people were looking up to and now
[5558.73] Mr Steele: That he's exclusive exclusive on here. It's like oh, he's got 20 comments on this one video. That's got 50 views. I don't know
[5566.89] Mr Steele: I don't know how that
[5569.45] Mr Steele: I don't know. I love these guys. I like I like these people i'm just trying to basically give
[5575.29] Mr Steele: The devil's advocate of why you would do this to yourself
[5579.61] Mr Steele: um
[5580.49] Mr Steele: Because it is it is it is affecting some key players in the industry in a negative way and i'm
[5586.25] Mr Steele: I don't want to I don't want to see that happen. I don't want to see people
[5589.29] Mr Steele: basically
[5590.33] Mr Steele: Going under the radar because they've signed this deal with the devil making like a dollar every month or whatever must be the money
[5598.33] Jack: I mean
[5600.41] Jack: you know, it's
[5602.25] Jack: Is it really all about the views but then equally it's just like
[5606.89] Jack: I totally get where you're coming from where
[5609.45] Jack: if you're
[5611.05] Jack: You know if you're um
[5613.05] Jack: Like uploading videos onto youtube and you're inspiring people and you're on a platform where people you know
[5619.13] Jack: You're accessible and you're sharing the information and growing the hobby and then you just kind of box yourself in the corner. It's
[5626.73] Mr Steele: Yeah, I get it. It's crazy. Well, it's hurting you it's making it more accessible for new people
[5632.57] Mr Steele: Which is I know what they don't want
[5635.21] Mr Steele: No one is saying yeah
[5636.65] Mr Steele: I've put a lot of work into this industry and making my name for myself
[5639.85] Mr Steele: Now i'm just going to drag it through the dirt because that's what I want to do because i'm making a little bit of money
[5644.01] Mr Steele: And I know that's not what they want
[5646.25] Mr Steele: But it's just it's just funny that people will will do that and it yeah, I I don't even consider it
[5653.45] Mr Steele: I'm essentially doing this and talking about these people in general and stating these things because I genuinely
[5661.53] Mr Steele: am sorry that it's happening to them
[5664.17] Mr Steele: I'm not doing it because I feel like
[5666.33] Mr Steele: I have an upper hand on somebody and i'm basically rubbing it in their face that they're not doing a certain thing
[5672.09] Mr Steele: The way that I think they should do it
[5674.09] Mr Steele: I'm genuinely seeing
[5676.25] Mr Steele: A decrease in their popularity because of something they're doing and i'm basically
[5681.93] Mr Steele: stating it so that maybe someone will listen and change their ways before they get
[5687.77] Mr Steele: Pushed too far aside because it's so hard to make a name for yourself these days. It is so
[5692.87] Mr Steele: Ridiculously hard to get a video noticed on social media
[5697.29] Mr Steele: And if you had people that were watching your videos pretty regularly and you had a a crowd that you were like, dude, I got I got a solid
[5706.39] Mr Steele: 2,000 subscribers that will watch my videos every time I post them and i'm going to abandon them
[5712.97] Mr Steele: Because I get paid 500 dollars to do this is 500 dollars worth
[5717.85] Mr Steele: Abandoning even a hundred people or even 30 people that are genuinely interested in your content
[5725.21] Tony: Hmm
[5727.21] Mr Steele: Maybe you guys have no like I think it probably depends how many dollars you've got
[5733.12] Mr Steele: Yeah, I think it does and I agree with that, but I just yeah
[5737.84] Jack: Yeah, well, we're gonna say maybe you guys
[5740.72] Mr Steele: I was gonna say maybe you guys don't agree with me at all and it sounds like that's the case but
[5745.52] Tony: No, uh
[5747.12] Tony: Yeah, i'm i'm with you, but people might just want the money over the people over the viewers
[5754.48] Jack: So at the end of the day
[5757.2] Mr Steele: Yeah, well, I guess at the end of the day, is that really
[5761.6] Mr Steele: what
[5763.12] Mr Steele: Like that's what I get accused of honestly is being a sellout sometimes being like this guy that
[5769.84] Mr Steele: does this because it genuinely increases my odds of
[5774.48] Mr Steele: doing something
[5776.16] Mr Steele: That benefits me in a way and i'm not giving back to the community and blah blah blah blah blah, but yet
[5782.88] Mr Steele: The people that aren't in the spotlight and I I know it's just a thing where like more popular people are going to criticize more
[5789.52] Mr Steele: But obviously if you're if you have a genuine audience that's following you and then you abandon that audience
[5794.96] Mr Steele: But your audience wasn't big enough for it to affect them
[5799.92] Mr Steele: Significantly enough to actually go publicly with it online and start complaining about it. I still don't think it's right
[5808.24] Adam: But you know, that's just my personal I I totally agree with you. I think it's also all a bit vague
[5814.16] Adam: I think a lot of people are just not going to know where to look
[5817.28] Adam: Yeah, you know, they're just like you say just see people stop posting and you're not going to start just
[5823.44] Adam: For everyone you follow a lot of people follow quite a lot of people a lot of flyers
[5828.24] Adam: You might just assume that they've gone on holiday for a bit or got a different job or
[5833.52] Adam: You know, you don't immediately think oh, I must immediately start searching the web
[5838.96] Mr Steele: Yeah, maybe i'm just looking at it more of a jint more of a
[5843.28] Mr Steele: If if I were i'm looking at it from the viewpoint of if I were the viewer
[5849.28] Mr Steele: And if my if my favorite tv show went offline with no with no
[5854.94] Mr Steele: Explanation and it just started popping up on some other random
[5858.96] Mr Steele: Channel or something that I didn't know about and yeah, you'd be annoying. Yeah
[5865.36] Jack: No, I I agree with you. All right. Um, right. So should we
[5870.0] Mr Steele: Start winding this up. I think we should i'm planning on coming out with a motor eventually, but
[5875.92] Mr Steele: I don't know who the hell is going to do it or where it's going to come from because
[5880.4] Mr Steele: Apparently what I say is the opposite of what people that design motors want to do right now
[5885.12] Jae: And unfortunately you said you you may not like it and it may have you know, yeah
[5890.4] Mr Steele: Well, I mean it's not that I don't like it
[5892.56] Mr Steele: It's more of the reason that no one listens to what my needs are and they just they go into what they think
[5899.12] Mr Steele: The need it will fulfill which
[5901.6] Mr Steele: For everyone these days is the ultimate power output
[5905.04] Mr Steele: Everyone wants this high high power output. They don't care about amp draw
[5909.68] Mr Steele: So if you want to blow up a 1300 every single battery you fly then that's that's on you
[5914.96] Mr Steele: But i've been flying the same batteries for six months with no significant
[5919.04] Mr Steele: Power decrease from what I see on every single other person's video that's posting online
[5923.6] Mr Steele: And I can tell you right now that everyone out there isn't running the same setup as me. So
[5928.88] Jack: I've gone for the lower kv, you know the cobra
[5932.78] Jack: 1960s
[5935.2] Jack: Yeah kv and that's what i'm really preferring them to the old
[5940.88] Jack: Uh 2205
[5943.1] Jack: And 23 hundreds
[5945.92] Mr Steele: Yeah, well those are 2205 1960s
[5948.96] Jack: Yeah
[5951.36] Jack: Yeah, so
[5952.96] Jack: Yeah, i've gone for a lower kv. I reckon the 2000 marks where people want to be at now
[5959.12] Jack: Yeah, I agree with the lighter weight
[5961.84] Jack: Because um, I think that's what's giving you such low. Um
[5965.36] Jack: Low flying times and killing your batteries a lot tone. Yeah, I reckon it's too much kv
[5972.72] Tony: But
[5974.64] Tony: 120 well 180 26
[5976.8] Tony: Thousand kv is like two is like one and a half minutes. It's just ridiculous
