[0.08] Tony: It's up in the city's desk, oops.
[4.08] Jack: Hello, and you're listening to Let's Drone Out.
[7.08] Jack: Today, the whole crew's involved.
[10.08] Jack: We are followed and joined by Frank.
[13.08] Jack: What?
[18.05] Jack: Frank on his new computer.
[19.05] Jack: Hello.
[22.05] Jack: Andy RC.
[24.05] Jack: Hello.
[26.05] Jack: N.J. Tech.
[27.05] NJ: Good evening.
[30.05] Jack: I think we're joined by Jack.
[32.05] Jack: Uh-huh.
[34.05] Jack: Yeah, I'm always last.
[37.05] Jack: Sorry.
[39.05] Jack: Uh, Mooney Tony.
[41.05] Tony: Bonjour.
[43.05] Jack: And I'm right until I fly, or Jack.
[46.05] Jack: Uh, to start off with, Tony has become a bit, like basically, I need to put out a public service announcement about Tony.
[55.05] Jack: Tony has now realised that you can use the power of internet to get things that he wants.
[61.05] Jack: So he's putting out posts, and people now send him things.
[65.05] Jack: That fuels people, is collectomanism.
[68.05] Jack: Have you seen how many quads he owns?
[71.05] Jack: So, on the Let's Drone Out Facebook page, I will give a list of things that you can send Tony.
[79.05] Jack: It includes plasters, used toothbrushes, cat shit, and all hate mail about previous co-hosts.
[89.05] Tony: I only like wooden toothbrushes because they're environmentally friendly.
[96.05] NJ: Aren't toothbrushes made out of, like, pig's hair or something?
[100.05] Tony: Hopefully not.
[102.05] Tony: No, isn't it nylon hair or something?
[105.05] Frank: It's nylon. Definitely nylon.
[107.05] Tony: But the plastic ends up in the ocean floating around, so if you're going to send wooden ones...
[115.05] NJ: You own a wooden toothbrush.
[118.05] Jack: Animal based.
[121.05] Jack: I bet this motherf***er owns an electric toothbrush.
[126.05] Tony: I do.
[128.05] Jack: Yeah, that's why they passed it.
[130.05] Tony: Yeah, but I've kept it for a nylon seven years.
[135.05] Jack: Right, Tony, if you're going to ask for stuff...
[139.05] Tony: It's like Tricker's broom.
[142.05] Jack: And people are going to send you stuff. You've got to give stuff away.
[147.05] Jack: If we're one thing, out with the other.
[150.05] Tony: Look, I'll put a post out because there's so much negativity going on in the community at the moment.
[156.05] Tony: I'll put a post out.
[158.05] Jack: Oh, here we go. Tony, the saviour of all of us.
[162.05] Andy: I know the truth.
[163.05] Andy: I don't know of any negativity. What negativity is out there?
[168.05] Tony: Honestly, come on, Andy, I'll see.
[172.05] Andy: I live under a rock, honestly. I don't know what to call it.
[176.05] Andy: I was very impressed with the stuff that you got. You got a GoPro 3, was it? And what other stuff did you get?
[183.05] Andy: A GoPro 4?
[185.05] Tony: There's Mikey Drede.
[187.05] Tony: I think he's in the chat. Big shout out to Mikey Drede, man.
[192.05] Tony: His new nickname is going to be Mikey Shred because me and him are going to go and shred together one day.
[198.05] Tony: I owe him a beer, man. It's really nice of him.
[202.05] Tony: I just put a post out saying, look, I'm doing a long distance wing flight. I've bought all this, done this.
[207.05] Tony: Both my GoPros have packed up. I've tried using them umpteen times and they don't work.
[212.05] Tony: I was putting a post out saying I want to buy a GoPro 3 and he just sent me a GoPro 4, which was cool.
[221.05] Tony: Neil Cody from Eyedrone sent me his big one. If you've seen it on my post, he sent me his big, I think it's a 10-turn heater.
[229.05] NJ: I'm sorry, I'm making that into a GIF.
[232.05] Tony: What? Neil Cody did that?
[237.05] Tony: Neil would like that.
[240.05] Andy: So yeah, I was just like blown away by it.
[243.05] Andy: This community is the best for stuff like that, honestly.
[246.05] Andy: Say whatever negative things you can, but if you ask for it, someone will step up and say, yeah, sure, here, have it.
[254.05] Andy: The only issue I have is like, I've got two GoPro Hero 4s and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I find that they just eat SD cards.
[263.05] Andy: Literally every two weeks, I'll need a new SD card for my Hero 4. I don't know if anyone else finds that.
[269.05] Andy: It's the camera that I use on like my hat cam and given after about two weeks, I get the SD card error and it no longer reads.
[279.05] Andy: I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but what do you guys find the same with the GoPros?
[284.05] NJ: I've had a few errors that have crept in on a couple of cards, but I wonder if it's possibly something heat related because those sensors get, they do get seriously warm.
[296.05] NJ: And the SD cards obviously, I mean, if you have a look at the schematic and the inside of a GoPro, it's ridiculous.
[302.05] NJ: Just like no nanometer of that space is unused. They really have crammed everything in.
[311.05] NJ: So the fact that sensor gets so hot as they do on cameras that do 4K and above anyway, it wouldn't surprise me if there's some damage done from that.
[319.05] NJ: But yeah, I've had a couple of SD cards that have died on the good quality ones too. So yeah, there's some.
[326.05] Andy: That's like literally my biggest expense is SD cards and the SD card gets so hot as well. So that that makes sense that it's yeah, it's a real pain.
[337.05] Andy: Cover it in thermal paste.
[339.05] Tony: Scan this because I've just brought out a 400 gigabyte. Yeah, I saw that.
[344.05] Tony: I bet it's 250 quid, but wow, that'd make your phone never run out.
[353.05] Jack: Yeah. Oh my God. I'm going to give something away. I have got four Sunny Sky motors. I don't know what KV they are. I don't care.
[364.55] Jack: One of them's apparently a bit dodgy, but they used to belong to Oscar Lang.
[370.55] Tony: Famous then. Famous sign them.
[373.55] Tony: Famous Sunny Sky motors then.
[376.55] Jack: Yeah. So if you want them, just make sure you're subscribed, like the video and write something mean about Tony in the chat. I will pick the best one.
[391.55] NJ: So this guy do good motors, you know, they've been doing it a long time.
[395.55] NJ: They're just a bit of a quiet brand that don't shout about the new latest greatest magnet and go mad on their marketing, but they've been doing it a very long time.
[404.55] NJ: I think the only thing with something is the bearings are a little bit a little bit rubbish on most of the Sunny Skies I've tested, but the most themselves are very good.
[415.55] NJ: But I've got that new GT 200 by Dietone to review and that is Sunny Sky that made those motors. So I'm hoping they'll put some decent bearings in them and I'll get to check them out. But yeah, they're a good company. Solid motors.
[430.55] Jack: You've angered me now. I bought from Hobbyking the Hobbyking bearing puller and it is about as useful as Tony helping me fix a quad.
[445.55] Jack: I've never reviewed anything on Hobbyking, but I swear to God, that is something I'm going to review. You couldn't pull a tooth out of a dead horse's head with it.
[460.55] Jack: It's an interesting set of pliers to it. It is. I'm looking at it now. It angers me. Sorry.
[472.09] Jack: Why as well with the Sunny Sky motors?
[475.09] Jack: Because it's an insult. Do you know what? I wouldn't even send it to me.
[480.09] Jack: Yeah.
[481.09] NJ: Do you know what the trick is as well with getting motors, getting bearings out of motors? Because I used to have to do this all my RC helicopter bearings would eventually on my nitro helis.
[493.09] NJ: The back bearing would always go and the trick we used to do to get the bearing out was to chuck it in the oven and heat it up for 10 minutes.
[500.09] NJ: Don't that ruin the enamel?
[503.09] NJ: On an IC engine, no. But what I'm saying is the application of heat. You need to heat the motor. Hair dryer is fine.
[512.09] NJ: And then you want to try and cool the bearing because that's the best way to get a new bearing in a motor is to warm the housing up so that the metal expands and then put the bearings in a plastic bag in the freezer.
[523.09] NJ: And then when you pull those out, they'll literally drop straight in and then as soon as it all comes to room temperature, the friction fits perfect.
[530.09] NJ: But yeah, a little bit, a little bit of heat and you could use them, you know, a compressed air gun, you know, if you turn them upside down, you get that lovely super cold.
[539.09] NJ: Yeah. Yeah. So you can use that thing. You can use a little squirt of that to chill the bearing.
[544.09] NJ: But if you can get those two things to happen, get the bearing cold and the outside of the case hot, you have a better chance of pulling them out.
[551.09] Tony: Like motors are like 20 quid. Do people really still follow?
[555.09] NJ: Hey, I still like the tinkering. If I can fix a motor, I'll do it.
[560.09] Jack: Not everyone is the complete postman like you who just goes on Facebook. Has anyone got a slipper that looks like this one because I lost the other one.
[577.09] Tony: I put a post saying, look, I want to buy a GoPro 3.
[585.09] Tony: I said, why is it? Why don't you want a GoPro 4? I said, I only need 30 frames a second. It's going in a wing.
[592.09] Tony: And someone sent me one. You're just jealous.
[598.09] Andy: Did you guys ever see that program where there was like girls on Twitter and they were, they would have all these followers and they would like put out requests for things that they want and like that.
[608.09] Andy: They had Twitter followers who would buy it. They got to like, yeah, that was a show nipples and stuff. I'm not doing nipple shots.
[620.09] Jack: I'll wear those high heels if you get them for me.
[628.09] Jack: I don't want to upset Mikey. I just want to do Tony's head in.
[633.09] Jack: No.
[635.09] Tony: Look, it's going to get a beer off me. He's helping the community. He's helping me. I want to do a long, long range for it and record it. It's all good.
[643.09] Jack: The community means getting new sections, getting you off the street away from that neighbour that you harass.
[653.09] Tony: Bloody dagger or harass.
[655.09] Andy: I have to say, I was watching Tony's channel. He posted some FPV footage using the Clearview system. I was massively impressed because I don't do racing or anything like that. I'm no good at it, but I thought that was amazing.
[671.09] Andy: So we're all picking on Tony, but he's great at FPV, I think.
[676.09] Tony: Thank you, Andy.
[677.09] Andy: I've got that all the way flat earth. No, I'm just kidding.
[685.09] Tony: I'm just kidding.
[687.09] Frank: Mikey in the chat has offered you a Mobius.
[691.09] Tony: There you go. I have a Mobius.
[694.09] Jack: No, I'm all right, mate. I'm all right.
[699.09] Jack: Look, mate, you've done more than enough for me, mate. You've given me feel for Tony's fire.
[707.09] Jack: That's all I could ever want.
[710.09] Tony: And I'm sending and I'm only borrowing the antenna from Neil Cody. He's lent it to me. So I haven't got millions of things. Yeah, I've got a GoPro 4, which is absolutely great.
[722.09] Tony: You know, it's good. Thank you.
[727.09] Tony: I am jealous of this antenna.
[730.09] Jack: It's got a power checker. I do quite like that.
[735.09] Andy: Well, you got it.
[737.09] Jack: Yeah, man, I don't know how accurate it is.
[740.09] Andy: I've got one of those, but I think they use it at races, though, don't they, to check 25 milliwatts? I've never used one.
[747.09] Andy: I said, I imagine they're pretty accurate.
[752.09] Andy: I wanted to ask Tony a clear view, like, because I was watching your video and I thought, wow, that video feeds amazing.
[759.09] Andy: And then I looked at the price.
[760.09] Andy: It's like six hundred dollars.
[762.09] Andy: Is it worth that, do you think?
[765.09] Tony: That is the top one. There's two different clear views.
[770.09] Tony: There's the one I've got, which is the race.
[776.09] Tony: I think Neil Cody imported five in the end. I think they're like three and a half hundred, four hundred quid each.
[786.09] Andy: Yeah, that's not too bad. Yeah, I was I was well impressed with the feeder.
[790.09] Andy: I assumed it was the VTX because it said the channel frequency in the corner.
[796.09] Andy: So is that the the clear view that does that or your on-screen display with the clear?
[803.09] Tony: Yeah.
[805.09] Tony: On an analog feed and I wouldn't race with anything else.
[810.09] Tony: Now I've had it.
[812.09] Tony: There's no like there's no break up. There's no flicking.
[815.09] Tony: You don't get any screen tear.
[818.09] Andy: Is that so?
[820.09] Andy: Is everyone using that sort of thing that races them?
[823.09] Andy: Because I don't know.
[824.09] Tony: Most people most people do use ground stations.
[829.09] Tony: There's a few people still just using the goggles, but most people that races do use ground stations.
[836.09] Tony: And I'm starting to see clear view all the time now.
[840.09] Tony: I've seen it on other people's channels that I've watched.
[844.09] Andy: Yeah, it really got me thinking about it.
[847.09] Tony: It is so good.
[848.09] Tony: I flew my wing Saturday with it.
[851.09] Tony: I flew quite far Saturday with my wing testing it.
[855.09] Tony: But once you lose the digital lock, you can't get it back.
[859.09] Tony: So long range FPV, probably not a good idea.
[863.09] Tony: That's why I'm not going to use it when I fly my wing.
[867.09] Tony: But for racing and stuff, it's just awesome because you don't.
[871.09] Tony: You just don't get any flicks or break breakups.
[875.09] Tony: I think it's worth the three hundred and fifty to four hundred pound.
[878.09] Tony: What I pay.
[879.09] Tony: How's it doing?
[881.09] NJ: High reflective environments.
[883.09] Tony: Really well.
[884.09] Tony: I think it's that's really what loads of people bought it for for that.
[890.09] Tony: Yeah, it's it's really good indoors.
[893.09] Tony: I haven't tested indoors.
[896.09] Tony: But it is good indoors.
[899.09] Jack: It makes Tony sound like he's on the run.
[901.09] Tony: I just love the fact that you don't get any tears in the screen or any white flicks and that.
[906.09] Tony: When I went back to my goggles the other day, it was just awful.
[911.91] Andy: Yeah, I was impressed.
[912.91] Andy: I was ready to pull the trigger and I was like six hundred dollars.
[915.91] Andy: Yeah.
[916.91] Andy: So it must have been the higher one that I was looking at.
[918.91] Andy: I'm definitely going to look into there because like you say, crystal clear feet.
[922.91] Andy: I mean, you were you were racing with other people as well.
[924.91] Andy: So, you know,
[925.91] Tony: Yeah, there was about six in that race.
[928.91] Andy: Yeah, I'm definitely going to look into that.
[931.91] Andy: Yeah.
[936.91] Tony: I think the best place to get it is.
[940.91] Tony: Is it multi wrote a store?
[942.91] Tony: Metal Danny metal Danny's place in Holland.
[945.91] Tony: I think that they get it in quite often.
[948.91] Tony: Yeah.
[949.91] Andy: What antennas is that running as well?
[952.91] Tony: I run two patches on it, but you can't you.
[955.91] Tony: I was watching Joshua Barber.
[957.91] Tony: I've done a video on it the other day and he was talking to him for Tron.
[963.91] Tony: The guy invented it or manufactures it.
[966.91] Andy: Yeah.
[967.91] Tony: And he was saying it is best to use to the same like either two pagodas or two patches.
[972.91] Tony: But me and my mate Brad as I got my mate Brad as one as well.
[976.91] Tony: He got one at the same time.
[978.91] Tony: And we're actually been using one patch one pagoda.
[983.91] Tony: That seems to work better than one of the same.
[988.91] Tony: Even though it says on the leaflet when you read it or download it.
[992.91] Tony: Use the same antenna.
[993.91] Tony: But we're the pagoda on the quad.
[995.91] Tony: Is that we use just I just use a normal antenna on the quad.
[1002.91] Andy: Right.
[1003.91] Andy: And they're just interested.
[1004.91] Andy: I was just interested because he just looks so great.
[1007.91] Andy: And then I look at mine and it's just full of breakup.
[1011.91] Tony: Yeah.
[1012.91] Tony: And I want once you get get one, you just that I see it is brilliant.
[1021.08] Jack: And I've got a little little shout out.
[1024.08] Jack: But I'm also I remember that.
[1026.08] Jack: And Jay's back and Jay.
[1028.08] Jack: What's it like dating Sophie?
[1029.08] Jack: I expect to know.
[1030.08] Jack: I think the listeners need some context.
[1039.08] Jack: God.
[1040.08] Jack: Oh my.
[1041.08] Jack: How do you not dribble on the stage?
[1043.08] Jack: Let alone play.
[1045.08] Jack: Remember how to play the guitar.
[1048.08] NJ: These are questions I was fully not prepared for this evening.
[1051.08] Tony: Jack unlike you.
[1054.08] NJ: Yeah.
[1055.08] NJ: Yeah.
[1056.08] NJ: I've done.
[1057.08] NJ: What can I say?
[1058.08] NJ: I've known Sophie for probably 10 years.
[1060.08] NJ: So yes.
[1061.08] NJ: Good night.
[1062.08] NJ: Very, very nice lady.
[1065.08] Tony: Yeah.
[1066.08] Tony: Right.
[1067.08] Tony: Yeah.
[1068.08] Tony: We got for bees then again, you know,
[1070.08] Jack: Yeah.
[1071.08] Jack: She's the type of girl.
[1072.08] Jack: Right.
[1073.08] Jack: Or lady.
[1074.08] Jack: Should I say that would make any normal man forget how to breathe out of his nose.
[1080.08] Jack: Right.
[1081.08] Jack: Yeah.
[1084.08] Jack: So shut up.
[1086.08] Tony: Why you've been away?
[1087.08] Tony: Is that why you've been away for a month?
[1089.08] Tony: You've been.
[1090.08] NJ: I've been extremely, extremely busy with work,
[1093.08] NJ: which has meant that I've unfortunately just not been here.
[1097.08] NJ: I've literally been out the country and just on the road.
[1100.08] NJ: So I haven't had a chance to do.
[1103.08] NJ: Meanwhile, there's just been a mountain of things arriving here.
[1106.08] NJ: So I've got an enormous number of videos to stop fighting my way through.
[1110.08] NJ: But yeah, sort of end of this week and starting next week,
[1114.08] NJ: I'll be very much back on it, which is all good.
[1118.42] Andy: And just so everyone knows work to NJ is the guitarist for Sophie.
[1124.42] Andy: I expect Baxter.
[1126.42] NJ: Well, I used to play for a full time.
[1129.42] NJ: I don't.
[1130.42] NJ: I don't play for a full time anymore.
[1131.42] NJ: I used to play for a full time.
[1132.42] NJ: This is a long time ago for about three years.
[1135.42] NJ: But yeah,
[1136.42] NJ: Well, she took a break and I because I'm basically a musical whore
[1144.42] NJ: and I'm a session player.
[1146.42] NJ: So I just move around playing for different people.
[1150.42] NJ: Yes, indeed.
[1152.42] NJ: So, yeah, she's doing a different setup now since she's done her new albums.
[1158.42] NJ: And yeah,
[1159.42] NJ: but I got to management from me up and said,
[1161.42] NJ: are you free for a gig a couple of weeks ago,
[1164.42] NJ: just because a regular guitarist Pablo couldn't do it.
[1166.42] NJ: And yeah,
[1167.42] NJ: I went and filled in for him and he hadn't seen her for a few years.
[1171.42] NJ: So, yeah, it was great.
[1172.42] NJ: Good to good to catch up.
[1174.42] NJ: And then,
[1175.42] NJ: yeah,
[1176.42] NJ: I've been out and about with other people doing other stuff.
[1179.42] NJ: So yes,
[1180.42] NJ: it's been a just been a it's it's summer times.
[1182.42] NJ: There's loads of festivals and stuff.
[1183.42] NJ: So yeah,
[1184.42] NJ: it's a super busy time of the year for me.
[1186.42] Jack: Yeah,
[1187.42] Jack: I'd laugh if they if they looked at you was like,
[1190.42] Jack: hey,
[1191.42] Jack: NJ is pretty sexy.
[1192.42] Jack: We need to keep those two away from each other in case she gets pregnant.
[1195.42] Jack: That could ruin her career.
[1197.42] Jack: Pablo,
[1198.42] Jack: you don't look as good.
[1199.42] Jack: You're hired.
[1200.42] Tony: I think NJ is engaged to a beautiful girl.
[1203.42] NJ: I am engaged to Mrs.
[1206.42] NJ: She's very lovely.
[1211.42] NJ: And yes,
[1212.42] NJ: that's that's all good.
[1213.42] NJ: But,
[1214.42] NJ: yeah,
[1215.42] NJ: no,
[1216.42] NJ: Sophie's Sophie's got four,
[1217.42] NJ: five kids now,
[1218.42] NJ: I think.
[1219.42] NJ: No,
[1220.42] NJ: it's four.
[1221.42] NJ: Yeah,
[1222.42] NJ: she's got a few children and her husband,
[1223.42] NJ: Richard is,
[1224.42] NJ: do you remember a band called The Feeling?
[1227.42] NJ: Yeah.
[1228.42] NJ: Yeah.
[1229.42] NJ: Yeah.
[1230.42] NJ: The bass player,
[1231.42] NJ: Richard,
[1232.42] NJ: who's got his private pilot's license and occasionally I've sort of been
[1236.42] NJ: flying with him.
[1237.42] NJ: He's big into aviation and flying stuff.
[1239.42] NJ: But,
[1240.42] NJ: yeah,
[1241.42] NJ: that's Sophie's husband.
[1243.42] NJ: Cool.
[1244.42] NJ: So there you go.
[1247.42] Tony: She's like that,
[1248.42] Tony: isn't he?
[1251.42] Tony: What was that tone?
[1253.42] Tony: I said,
[1254.42] Tony: speaking of singing and dancing,
[1255.42] Tony: you've been doing some of that, haven't you?
[1257.42] Andy: Oh, well,
[1258.42] Andy: I,
[1259.42] Andy: the difference there is I just do it in my bedroom and NJ does it for a job.
[1263.42] Andy: So I was a little bit of a difference in that,
[1265.42] Andy: but I have a little doubt.
[1266.42] Jack: You never wear the sunglasses.
[1268.42] Andy: You never go full mews.
[1271.42] Andy: They broke.
[1272.42] Andy: Full mews.
[1273.42] Andy: And gutted.
[1274.42] Andy: Look at that.
[1275.42] Andy: The arm came.
[1276.42] Andy: I was out flying and I stood on them and that's it.
[1278.42] Andy: No.
[1279.42] Andy: It's game over, man.
[1280.42] Andy: No,
[1281.42] Jack: you lost your full power.
[1283.42] Jack: Yeah.
[1284.42] Tony: I liked,
[1285.42] Tony: I liked your music and your editing.
[1288.42] Tony: I think you should just do it like Andy R.C. Rock on channel or something.
[1292.42] Andy: Yeah.
[1293.42] Andy: Well,
[1294.42] Andy: I struggled with music for years because NJ will tell you that it's just,
[1298.42] Andy: it's even if you're like the best musician in the world,
[1301.42] Andy: it's so,
[1302.42] Andy: it's so hard to do.
[1303.42] Andy: So I just do,
[1305.42] Andy: I just do it for fun.
[1306.42] Andy: I had a music channel years ago,
[1308.42] Andy: but it seems that I'm better at describing R.C.
[1312.42] Andy: quad copters that I,
[1314.42] Andy: which isn't as glamorous,
[1316.42] Andy: but it's just as fun,
[1318.42] Andy: I guess.
[1319.42] Jack: Do you reckon you'll do like a musical episode like Buffy?
[1322.42] Jack: Yeah.
[1323.42] Andy: I thought,
[1324.42] Andy: some people said,
[1326.42] Andy: some people said,
[1327.42] Andy: oh,
[1328.42] Andy: you're like probably one of the only people that could like flood.
[1330.42] Andy: Cause you know,
[1331.42] Andy: a lot of people do these videos where they,
[1333.42] Andy: they fly to a backing track and some people said,
[1335.42] Andy: well,
[1336.42] Andy: why don't you record the entire backing track and then fly to it?
[1340.42] Andy: So that's something I've been thinking about,
[1341.42] Andy: but it's a lot of work.
[1343.42] Andy: It's a lot of work.
[1344.42] Andy: And you,
[1345.42] Andy: and like everything I do is YouTube.
[1347.42] Andy: And you really struggle to do music on YouTube because everything's copyrighted
[1352.42] Andy: and you can't monetize it and you get strikes and things like that.
[1357.42] Andy: YouTube is getting really terrible for that.
[1359.42] Andy: I posted a video,
[1361.42] Andy: I posted a video today, right?
[1363.42] Andy: And it was another YouTube channel.
[1365.42] Andy: They challenge me to fly a quad copter with a transmitter behind my back.
[1370.42] Andy: So the thumbnail was me with my hands behind my back and it kind of looked
[1375.42] Andy: like I was in handcuffs.
[1376.42] Andy: And because it looked like that,
[1379.42] Andy: because it looked like that YouTube have decided that it's not advertised
[1383.42] Andy: only because my hands are like,
[1386.42] Andy: it's like I'm a prisoner with my hands behind my back.
[1388.42] Andy: So I wasn't crazy.
[1390.42] Andy: So,
[1391.42] Andy: so,
[1392.42] Andy: you know,
[1393.42] Andy: so when it comes to music,
[1394.42] NJ: it was just coincidence that the police officers really decided.
[1397.42] NJ: Yeah.
[1400.42] NJ: Yeah.
[1401.42] Andy: We won't go into that.
[1402.42] Andy: But yeah,
[1403.42] Andy: YouTube's awful for the music,
[1405.42] Andy: you know,
[1406.42] Andy: which is why I use that channel NCS,
[1409.42] Andy: no copyright sounds.
[1410.42] Andy: And even some of their stuff,
[1412.42] Andy: YouTube can recognize it as something else.
[1415.42] Andy: Yes.
[1416.42] Jack: So they bird tweetings as well.
[1419.42] Jack: Some of that's copyrighted.
[1421.42] Jack: And we'll never remember the tune.
[1426.42] Jack: You know,
[1427.42] Jack: you know,
[1428.42] Jack: you know the art,
[1429.42] Jack: the fancy pants are tuned.
[1430.42] Jack: You know,
[1431.42] Jack: that tune like a classical tune,
[1435.42] Jack: classical tune.
[1436.42] Jack: I can't think of what it is.
[1437.42] Jack: All I can think of is me right.
[1438.42] Jack: So now it's not that it's what I use that.
[1442.42] Jack: And that's like the copyrights.
[1444.42] Jack: Well,
[1445.42] Jack: long gone for that because it's been like a hundred odd years.
[1447.42] Jack: And we got copyright strike for that.
[1450.42] Jack: Oh,
[1451.42] Jack: yeah.
[1453.42] Jack: There's Chinese companies like register,
[1455.42] Jack: like license free stuff,
[1458.42] Jack: you know,
[1459.42] Jack: that's like public domain and stuff like that.
[1461.42] Frank: Just the recording might not be.
[1464.42] Frank: There's because there's the recording and there's the composition.
[1468.42] Frank: Yeah.
[1469.42] Frank: And so recording might still be copyright by whoever was playing it
[1472.42] Tony: and recorded it.
[1473.42] Tony: And I'll give you a tip.
[1475.42] Tony: If you use copyright music,
[1478.42] Tony: if you just slow down the track,
[1481.42] Tony: you know what,
[1482.42] Andy: that's even worse though because YouTube have a system.
[1485.42] Andy: They call it the strike system.
[1487.42] Andy: And I used to run a music,
[1489.42] Andy: I used to run a music channel.
[1491.42] Andy: If you get three strikes,
[1492.42] Andy: they will literally no matter if you've got a million subscribers,
[1495.42] Andy: they'll shut your channel down.
[1497.42] Andy: So if you,
[1498.42] Andy: if you are found to,
[1500.42] Andy: to try and get by the copyright laws by slowing it down or speeding
[1504.42] Andy: it up or changing it up,
[1505.42] Andy: you know what,
[1506.42] Andy: that's even worse though because YouTube have a system.
[1508.42] Andy: They call it the strike system.
[1509.42] Andy: So if you're just slowing it down or speeding it up or changing the
[1512.42] Andy: pitch, that's something that people do as well.
[1514.42] Andy: If you're found to be doing that,
[1516.42] Andy: they'll,
[1517.42] Andy: they'll shut you down without any strikes or anything.
[1519.42] Andy: It's so it does work.
[1521.42] Andy: But if you've got a lot of subscribers,
[1523.42] Andy: you definitely risk your entire channel there by doing that.
[1526.42] Andy: But yes,
[1527.42] Andy: you can get by it.
[1528.42] Tony: Andy, I'll say don't do that.
[1530.42] UNKNOWN: But,
[1531.42] Andy: but Tony's going to be doing it,
[1533.42] Andy: Karen, I'm doing it.
[1534.42] Andy: Yeah,
[1535.42] Frank: Mike in the chat said that you can check your songs on YouTube before
[1539.42] Frank: you post it.
[1540.42] Frank: You can.
[1541.42] Frank: I just,
[1542.42] Tony: I,
[1543.42] Tony: I use stuff for soundcloud and I seem to be doing all right off that
[1547.42] Tony: broad Britain.
[1548.42] Tony: Are you running?
[1549.42] Tony: I now have on your wing Tony.
[1550.42] Tony: No,
[1551.42] Tony: I'm running absolutely no flight controller apart from my thumbs.
[1554.42] Tony: All I've got is a call out shouting out my day.
[1560.42] Tony: So it's going to be fun.
[1564.42] Tony: David boy asks anyone here running the make a tech F four Oh five.
[1569.42] Tony: Oh,
[1570.42] Tony: Oh,
[1571.42] Tony: Oh,
[1572.42] Tony: Oh,
[1573.42] Tony: Oh,
[1574.42] Tony: Oh,
[1575.42] Tony: Oh,
[1576.42] Tony: Oh,
[1577.42] Tony: Oh,
[1578.42] Tony: Oh,
[1579.42] Tony: Oh,
[1580.42] Tony: Oh,
[1581.42] NJ: Oh,
[1582.42] NJ: Oh,
[1583.42] NJ: Oh,
[1584.42] Tony: Oh,
[1585.42] Tony: Oh,
[1586.42] NJ: Oh,
[1587.42] Tony: Oh,
[1588.42] Tony: Oh,
[1589.42] Tony: Oh,
[1590.42] NJ: Oh,
[1591.42] NJ: Oh,
[1592.42] NJ: Oh,
[1593.42] NJ: Oh,
[1594.42] Jack: Oh,
[1595.42] Jack: Oh,
[1596.42] NJ: Oh,
[1597.42] NJ: Oh,
[1598.42] NJ: Oh,
[1599.42] NJ: Oh,
[1600.42] NJ: Oh,
[1601.42] NJ: Oh,
[1602.42] NJ: Yeah.
[1603.42] NJ: I've not got the all in one.
[1604.42] NJ: I've got the standard F four.
[1605.42] NJ: Oh,
[1606.42] NJ: SD.
[1607.42] NJ: And so far I've actually been pretty impressed with it and I
[1610.42] NJ: haven't had any issues with it yet and I've actually ordered
[1613.42] NJ: another one to go into one 30.
[1615.42] NJ: So,
[1616.42] NJ: so far they've been great,
[1617.42] NJ: but I did see in my local group someone had problems with the
[1620.42] NJ: all in one.
[1621.42] NJ: so maybe there are a few issues still with that model but the the standard OSD one without the
[1630.14] Jack: current sensor and all the rest of it on it works fine why can't i get smart port to work on it
[1639.1] Jack: rx3 no tx3 uh smart port uh and then telemetry enabled just won't send anything weird
[1652.06] Jack: yeah that's unusual that is weird it must be me it's got to be me i must be doing something
[1658.06] Frank: dumb what am i doing wrong put it on soft serial and don't invert it
[1664.14] Jack: oh there you go sounds like a potential pollution just i might as well just flush any cpu i've got
[1672.94] Frank: left apparently it only works with soft serial on the mattock zero suggests uh uninvert
[1682.22] Frank: sports signal if that means anything to anyone yes for yeah i've used oh that's good that's good
[1691.18] Tony: tracks in some of my videos by the way so thanks takeaway he's sent me some tracks to use
[1698.06] Tony: on my flying wings he plays the guitar why don't you do any of that nj play it like rip rip the
[1704.62] NJ: guitar and then put it on over because that's work that's work yeah this is the other
[1712.46] Jack: is he like hiding sophie off him oh someone who can play real guitar
[1722.7] Tony: this is better than next week on tony
[1726.7] Andy: come on eddie i'll see you see i'm on the opposite whereas like
[1730.86] Andy: rc stuff is work and then playing the guitar is like the fun so yeah it's i i completely
[1737.26] Andy: understand that you definitely have to draw a line when it comes to you
[1742.7] Andy: he's the nj antichrist you two gotta fight each other listen listen i would have loved to have
[1749.26] Andy: been able to do music for a career but i wasn't i wasn't good enough for it and i you know it was
[1755.26] Andy: too hard so uh yeah that that would have been my dream but uh no i've heard andy's stuff first of
[1762.86] NJ: all he's very annoying because he can play several instruments really well i can play guitar i can't
[1767.82] NJ: play anything else yeah exactly and i will disagree on one thing it's it's definitely not
[1774.38] NJ: always about it does help if you are of a certain attitude but there is always an element of being
[1780.62] NJ: the right place at the right time and meeting the right people and there's the that whole side of
[1785.58] NJ: it is also a big part of it as well and you know i know some incredibly talented people much like
[1791.26] NJ: yourself that that haven't ended up going into music uh for a living because there was a point
[1799.18] NJ: where they cut off and say i've tried and it just hasn't the right connections weren't made and the
[1803.1] NJ: right opportunities didn't come about and you know here's like lots of other uh industries i guess
[1808.62] Andy: in that that respect but i i gave it a good 10 years at the music and uh i sort of said that
[1815.98] Andy: that's enough and i've always done flying and uh i i never thought that uh flying would be the
[1823.5] Andy: the thing that i did because it was the thing that i did like for fun but uh i'll take it it's fine
[1830.54] Jack: i like both i like doing both yeah exactly both great fun when are you going to start eating
[1835.9] Andy: disgusting food like actions oh yeah he um he takes like 20 year old like canned food doesn't he
[1844.7] Andy: uh and he yeah and stuff i don't know if you've checked the channel recently but i haven't had
[1849.26] Andy: any like cheaper stuff recently like ashen style stuff it's all been it's all been tough
[1857.26] Frank: get like some like nike heads and some lead acid batteries and fly your quads on them there you go
[1864.22] Andy: i used to when i was younger if you got the nine volt battery and just licked them that was
[1868.38] Andy: that was like that was a past time when i was younger there was no you know android and
[1873.1] Andy: ios phones it was like right he really is a northerner he doesn't wear t-shirt
[1881.58] Jack: he wears t-shirts out in the cold and for fun he licks nine volt batteries that's it now it's lipos
[1888.94] Andy: now it's like 2s lipos just there you know do a video of that i want to see you lick a 2s lipo
[1896.54] Andy: that could be a good video i'll make it so that you can now charge on youtube can't you can like
[1901.66] Andy: charge like 99 p to watch it and then it'll just be me there with a 2s battery licking it
[1908.7] Andy: you can start a car off a lipo i've seen that i've done that you can actually buy uh
[1914.94] Andy: because i'm terrible i love cars but i i'm not very mechanical with it so i bought a lipo pack
[1922.22] Andy: it's it's like a starter kit and you literally just plug it to your battery and i it's worked
[1927.66] Andy: for me i had a dead battery on my car and it's like a 3s and it just starts the car it's great
[1934.38] Andy: yeah you can do that yeah i've seen it happen before yeah don't don't lick those ones though
[1940.62] Jack: mode one flying and and look you can tell a northerner because they fly mode one and they
[1947.42] Jack: prefer deans it's because they can lick the terminals no i don't like i don't like deans
[1952.86] Andy: i'm xt60 all the way horrible thing it's not american innit i do have a couple of deans just
[1959.1] Andy: for fun yeah to lick you don't you ding this liquor i'm surprised you even let me on the show
[1965.26] Andy: bean mode one because it's like it's like the stone ages mode one came from when like controllers
[1971.5] Andy: were on buttons i think so like when buttons became gimbals they converted the buttons to
[1978.06] Andy: gimbals and that's where mode one is one thing i've never understood though is like you'd think
[1982.78] Andy: one would be the best because it's one but no two could be the best i i don't understand it
[1988.78] Andy: i wish i had learned mode two from the start because everything's mode two but there you go
[1993.82] NJ: what can i say my logic with it is okay there's two things here first of all and again big shout
[1999.74] NJ: to uh the bms web guys but both of those guys and thomas who's pretty much winning everything out
[2006.3] NJ: there at the minute in the fp racing world is mode one yeah he's mode one so if if anything
[2012.3] NJ: it shows it can work for me um the reason i like mode two in terms of how a flight stick because
[2020.46] NJ: i've done a lot of full scope full-scale flying as well it's that whole thing of having the pitch
[2026.22] NJ: and the roll on one stick that's very much akin to how you know a stick in a helicopter would work
[2031.98] NJ: and that that's why that translates well to me um and you know in a helicopter you have your
[2038.54] NJ: throttle on the left hand so left hand throttle works for me and you know you're just putting
[2042.94] NJ: what you do with your feet on the uh cross axis of the left stick so that's why that makes sense to
[2049.34] NJ: me but um i guess if that was the only option at the time i would have learned that way and that
[2054.54] NJ: would be what i'm doing now so i guess it's just what you what you pick it up with i came from the
[2059.26] Andy: days before the internet existed and i joined you had to join a club because if you went out
[2064.7] Andy: the only thing you could do is either buy a huge nitro helicopter or a huge nitro plane and i joined
[2070.94] Andy: a club and the club all flew mode one and the way that you learn was the instruction the club would
[2077.74] Andy: get you to fly and force you to fly mode one i didn't even know mode two was a thing and then of
[2083.1] Andy: course as i grew up and the internet was a thing you learn that sort of like the the broad of nets
[2089.42] Andy: everyone flies mode two and mode two absolutely like i'm probably what was it like learning that
[2094.86] Andy: you were a freak well mode mode i'm probably the only because like anyone who flies mode one they
[2103.66] Andy: always say oh mode one is the best and i i i don't agree i'm probably the only mode one person that
[2109.98] Andy: doesn't agree and i agree with nj tech that it makes much more sense that in fact i i do i fly
[2117.82] Andy: mode one that's like my main mode but when when i'm doing reviews i have to fly mode two because
[2122.94] Andy: so much stuff comes in mode two and it's too much of a hassle to move it over so i sort of close my
[2128.7] Andy: eyes and i i remember the days when i was learning on flight simulator micro microsoft flight
[2134.7] Andy: simulator and i imagine that the the left side is now my throttle and it's like you're holding a
[2141.66] Andy: joystick sort of thing and mode two makes much more sense sadly you know i did 20 odd years
[2147.18] Andy: flying mode one so i just can't my brain just wired that way but uh so i i i once flew with a guy
[2155.58] Andy: and he flew mode four but with the pitch reversed so yeah you'll have to run that one by me
[2163.58] Andy: and that exists you just hold the controller upside down yeah yeah so so here's so his his
[2169.9] Andy: down was up and i just couldn't it's like basically if if you're uh you know if you
[2175.66] Andy: fly planes it's like flying inverted the whole time that's kind of what so like so yeah it's
[2182.06] Andy: whatever you learn you know it's like it's like guitar you know you can play yeah there's there's
[2187.5] Andy: mode one to four yeah there's there's all sorts of different everyone everyone's uh in the in the
[2193.82] Tony: chat and he's asking how old you are because um you look like benjamin button apparently
[2200.06] Tony: what does that mean but young but old
[2205.42] Andy: i think this is like this is one of the things that i struggle with the most is like
[2211.34] Andy: to be taken saving
[2215.26] Andy: nothing grows and i'm 12
[2220.54] Jack: you'll excite tony
[2224.46] Andy: this is like this is the biggest thing that i struggle with i don't know whether it's because
[2228.38] Andy: i sound young or because i do my reviews from a single bed but people assume that i'm about 16
[2235.58] Andy: and i turned 34 two weeks ago so i'm probably older than most people you're older than me yeah
[2243.02] Jack: you're not older than tony nothing's older than tony but i i really struggle to get taken
[2249.18] Andy: seriously because you know people people assume i'm about 16 and everyone thinks well what what
[2255.34] Andy: can someone so young tell me but i'll tell you this right i've been flying since i was seven
[2260.06] Andy: years old and when i got to 11 i passed my bmfa examinations and i at the age of 11 i was like
[2269.18] Andy: buddy boxing i don't know if you guys will know what buddy boxing is it's like yeah we're not
[2274.22] Jack: idiots no but like like it's such a long time ago just because your bmfa pass was chiseled into stone
[2284.06] Andy: it actually was like you printed a certificate off and everything oh my god you know i i was like
[2290.54] Andy: 11 years old and teaching people how to fly who was like who were like 40 and it you know there's
[2296.38] Andy: definitely um a prejudice there with age and stuff so i i totally get that but you know sadly i i'm 34
[2303.58] Andy: and it's difficult to get taken seriously but yeah i i'm quite old you need to find yourself
[2310.78] Tony: a cougar i wish i was 34 you bastard i wish i was 24 so why i feel 24 though you know what i mean
[2320.7] Andy: yeah i think i think you your your brain never ages does it i always feel like i'm immature and
[2329.18] Tony: yes all blokes are though i mean look at us we're all playing with toys
[2335.18] Tony: they're not toys it says on the side yeah i know i just winded everyone up saying they're toys
[2341.42] Tony: everyone gets out of their pram when you say it's my mate rich guys they're not
[2346.14] Tony: toys they're fucking missing that and he goes mental if i call them toys they're right oh it's
[2351.5] Andy: so funny everything's a toy though isn't it a 3d print is a toy you know so it's a big boy's
[2357.34] Jack: it's all toys yeah that's it look andy rc at least you can draw like facial hair on
[2364.62] Jack: do you know what i mean tony can't grow anymore it just it just grows in like i can't do it patchy
[2370.94] Tony: i grow patchy yeah look i've just i've shaven tonight like my hair a little bit beard but
[2378.78] Tony: i've had this goatie for like 15 years i'm not i'm not a shaven i always find it hilarious when
[2385.82] Andy: i see like these 17 17 year old guys and because it's like the in things have a huge beard at the
[2391.66] Jack: moment and and i'm 34 i'm like yeah i know i literally need a cappino that's it you know what
[2397.1] Tony: i mean london london fbv said collect your pubes like south park and stick in the teeth
[2403.1] Jack: oh mate i am having um frank like connected man your old pc what what was it made out of
[2418.54] Frank: wood uh yeah i mean literally this laptop line currently on weighs a third of the weight of the
[2425.5] Jack: old one do you go to like move it and pick it up and it's like you throw it in the air i mean i
[2432.06] Frank: can lift it with one hand it's amazing feeling in my legs if i actually put it on my lap
[2440.62] Andy: it's brilliant are you guys all using laptops everyone yeah i'm not i'm on my desktop pc i'm
[2447.18] Andy: on a desktop i feel yeah i feel like a dinosaur using a desktop i've got i use a desktop normally
[2453.42] Andy: but you know i'm just that's why my face that's why my face keeps changing color every other
[2458.46] Andy: second because i got a big screen here and it the light keeps changing all this time i know
[2464.94] Jack: davey boy says i'm the same i'm 37 and my facial hair is a joke
[2471.58] Jack: there's nj with his full on beard jack i know like i hate it man i look like a right sex offender
[2479.9] Jack: yeah i know it is proper like and this ginger as well like bloody the guy bloody uh what's this
[2491.26] Jack: what's it called um thug like calls me jinge like i used to order stuff from him and he'd be like
[2497.82] Jack: right jinge and he'd draw cocks all in my stuff like and that's customer service yeah it's customer
[2507.18] Andy: service didn't it well no lesson so are all you guys going to hobby king live this weekend am i
[2514.06] Andy: the odd one out is every single one of you going you need to catch a train and then come down it's
[2518.94] Tony: too even if it's raining i think everyone's going oh it's like it's doesn't it start at nine o'clock
[2524.3] Jack: though i'm just going to bed no it starts like you can get you can register at ten
[2528.62] Andy: well it can't like i what is it is it is it a race event what what is it no it's just
[2535.9] Jack: no i'm in the field yes it's always good show me flying it have you seen their shipping service
[2546.14] Andy: yeah that's one of the reasons i can't go is that shit
[2550.3] Andy: you can point it on the die it'll probably be quicker i had a i had a run in with hobby king
[2557.34] Andy: a few years ago and like like when i when i was just starting out i i spent a fortune with them
[2563.26] Andy: and a load of stuff never turned up and i've always had a bit of a thing against that's why
[2569.34] Frank: you don't want to come isn't it i probably got hinges and canopy uh where are they little canopy
[2578.46] Frank: lugs and things because i i kept for like six months kept getting boxes every month from hobby
[2583.66] Andy: king that i'd never ordered yeah i i hear that their customer service is much better these days
[2589.34] Andy: but i i spent basically when i was first getting into the into quadcopters i spent about like a
[2594.86] Andy: thousand pound i bought four items and none of them ever turned up and i had to do a paypal
[2601.1] Andy: request and it it got messy and they said they were going to shut my account down and unless
[2607.74] Andy: i cancel my paypal disputes it got really messy and i just always had it in the back of my mind
[2613.42] Andy: sort of like a bad vibe with them uh losing out hobby king but i i don't want to you know i've
[2621.98] Andy: always i've always said this in my videos i definitely i'd always give them the chance to
[2626.54] Andy: redeem themselves because we're going back to like 2012 here you know it's uh so i think everyone
[2632.3] Andy: was sort of just figuring out there's you know their customer service system back then so
[2638.06] Andy: you know uh that's not the reason it's very far and yeah and but the other problem we've
[2644.14] NJ: got now of course is the one in december happening not happening the one at the nec
[2649.82] Andy: their uk dream show not happening that's not happening i'm a bit confused about that because
[2656.22] Andy: last year it happened in december and i missed the opportunity to to go there but recently they
[2663.26] Andy: they've had a event called the insomnia series right and that was a uk drone show event so
[2669.82] Andy: i don't know whether they're are they classing that as the uk drone show or is it a separate
[2675.02] Andy: thing i didn't go i didn't go last year did you guys go yeah just a game sorry sorry where was
[2684.62] NJ: it last year i did go i just didn't see anything okay i was drunk that day and i remember it was in
[2693.26] Jack: the anything just because i'm not sophie i did with sophie i'd remember
[2706.94] Frank: i was going to say that insomnia festival that's like a gaming thing and then the uk
[2718.38] Frank: drone show i think organized the um the racing that was going on there was all the um i got
[2728.54] Tony: told i got told there wasn't enough interest for them to put hold another one at the nec
[2734.94] Tony: there wasn't enough um suppliers and people gonna pay for basically pay for it to run itself
[2742.54] Jack: so we contact andrew newton on the kitchen table at gmail.com simon newton isn't it yeah
[2751.58] Jack: yeah oh the the raging pot potential alcoholic like literally i've got a gallon of red here
[2760.46] Andy: and i love that channel but he passed on to somebody else doesn't he now because he's not
[2765.82] Jack: doing it anymore man i don't know i need but no one's done me here that's that's one of the
[2771.1] Andy: channels that got me into this assignment channel but yeah it's not so active these days which is
[2776.3] Jack: the show no you started doing stuff for for the nec yeah yeah but it's you know that but what
[2784.46] Andy: was the event like last year because if you're saying there's not enough interest but i i thought
[2788.86] Andy: it was quite busy from what i saw from the pictures but i don't think the interest this
[2793.1] Tony: year i don't think enough um of the players have want to put in any messages i guess yeah yeah i
[2800.38] Andy: can't believe how how on not unpopular but how not popular it is like i mention it every time
[2808.22] Andy: but when i went to western parks hardly anybody there on the fpv flight line i don't understand
[2813.5] Andy: it because it's it's by far to me that the most interesting thing that's going on what happened
[2820.14] Jack: is we're all 10 or 12 years ahead of our time and what will happen is we'll totally get bored of
[2827.02] Jack: it it will stagnate and then a load of hipsters will be like here do you know about this and then
[2832.62] Jack: act like they've invented it with like zips and stones and then it will just take off it will be
[2839.1] Jack: absolutely massive and we'll be in the corner with the white hair tony will be in a wheelchair
[2845.02] Jack: but um still flies mode one oh my god we fly with our minds now
[2863.1] Jack: tony's gonna be like flat and i'll piss myself
[2875.74] Tony: i like that bit go always bring us down to earth yeah that's it it's a lovely vision for the future
[2883.74] Andy: yeah that's fantastic i i actually hope that happens now because it's funnier
[2890.06] Jack: i i i've been on like a lot of drugs lately and recreational no describe
[2898.38] Jack: describe so anyway like later night i've been off my tits and um i was like sleeping
[2906.94] Jack: and uh like snoozing and i had this kind of like dream vision that me digby dan and richard uh
[2915.82] Jack: you know richard they're not toys um basically went around tony's house at four in the morning
[2923.18] Jack: and i'd like you know those glass paints painted like little alien things on torches
[2929.26] Jack: right and raised them with helium balloons to tony's window and was shining little alien torches
[2936.22] Jack: in his and he was like oh he was like and he got downstairs he run downstairs and he came out to
[2941.1] Jack: his bay window and there was rich in a rubber alien mask completely bollock naked and i was
[2947.82] Jack: like pissing myself laughing that we had like you know like tony shouted at me and i'm like
[2954.7] Jack: it's all right i've run the police i warned them that we were going to adopt you nanny nanny
[2959.34] Tony: that was like a real thing you do though not a joke yeah i know i was absolutely
[2963.82] Frank: you spoilt it now jack i don't know what we're going to do this weekend oh i know
[2968.22] Andy: i don't know i'm related though can i get your doctor's address and numbers just
[2973.02] Tony: oh mate it was good fun i know auntie just keep drinking the old mine not the iron brew mike
[2979.66] Jack: yeah i'm out of iron brew yeah no it's iron brewing it's blood he's northern that's like
[2984.38] Jack: telling him not to eat deep fried mars bars i'm i'm in the midlands but i've got to you guys
[2990.06] Andy: everything above sort of london is northern isn't it yeah but i know you've had your weekend but
[2995.98] Tony: you should come down because yeah that even if it's raining yeah as it as it give out rain for
[3003.02] Andy: the weekend it looks terrible weather station says yeah i that's like it's the biggest thing
[3009.74] Andy: i've been struggling with this year is the weather i've been trying to show it isn't it
[3014.46] Andy: absolutely shocking i mention it in like every single one of my videos i know it like everyone's
[3019.9] Andy: getting annoyed with it but it's i i literally step out the door in the moment i step out the
[3025.74] Tony: door it it it pours it down and yeah but it's not houston texas is it come on you ain't having
[3030.86] Tony: that bad boy is this all moved to atlanta yay sherman g is in the chat from america i think
[3041.02] Tony: i think he was the guy uh the guy we saw cut cut the fan i actually got my uh shipping notification
[3048.46] NJ: for those new eehing goggles he's just actually put that in the chat um i think the new eehing
[3054.94] NJ: goggles going to be pretty good for a lot of beginners those uh i can't remember they're called
[3059.42] NJ: ev something ev 100 that's the one yeah so that those those ships today so hopefully uh
[3066.7] NJ: hopefully those will be arriving to have a look at you got to set those coming as well andy
[3071.82] Andy: no it doesn't they said they said they were going to send me some and i don't know if i've
[3077.18] Jack: upset them or what but they've given me it was me i mentioned them to oscar and then
[3083.9] Jack: he asked it they said to review them they said they were going to send me some
[3090.06] Andy: and then i got a message saying we've had to give them to someone else and i just leave you my
[3097.66] Andy: fault excuse me yeah just you just the thing is i think i think those things they're the kind of
[3106.62] Andy: product that doesn't like i mean we all know that these companies send out products for review
[3114.22] Andy: because they want exposure i think it's the kind of product that doesn't even need exposure because
[3120.62] Andy: i believe there's something like 12 000 pre-orders on them and i think they're they're so cheap that
[3127.34] Andy: people have just risked the fact that even if they're not any good they've gone ahead and bought
[3133.02] Andy: some anyway because they they have like the features of the the fat shark attitudes but at
[3139.74] NJ: seven like a price of 78 quid so there's some really interesting things i had a quick look on
[3144.38] NJ: the product page because they've been slowly adding more information to it and i'd look last
[3148.62] NJ: night and and actually there's two things that stood out to me one is it's got uh depth adjustment
[3154.22] Andy: yeah screens as opposed to just the ipd which is something that fat sharks don't even have right
[3159.58] NJ: exactly which i think is quite a unique feature that might not be gimmicky that might actually
[3164.06] NJ: work out um especially if you're not one to use the diopters or that it doesn't support the fat
[3170.86] NJ: shark diopters um the only other thing that i spotted there that i thought well that's a really
[3174.94] NJ: interesting move that i don't think is a very clever one is it seems to suggest that there
[3179.82] NJ: are psma antennas and obviously oh god what are they for designed for mode one people
[3189.66] NJ: it's a bit of an odd one isn't it because we've all got stacks and stacks of sma antennas
[3195.02] Jack: you can tell that you can tell that the northern mode oneers are wrong because you're like
[3200.86] Jack: are you flying mode one they're like yeah and then you ask them is your cousin hot and they go yeah
[3209.74] Tony: they've got two antennas but it doesn't say anywhere on the listing that it's got diversity
[3214.7] Andy: so well it could be antenna diversity as opposed to true diversity yeah that might be what they're
[3220.22] Frank: doing clearview is not diversity it's like it works off one antenna and then it puts in the
[3227.26] NJ: picture that it thinks you'll be able to do it and then it puts in the picture that it's
[3233.26] Tony: like it works off one antenna and then it puts in the picture that it thinks you're
[3239.1] Tony: going to see using the other right antenna apparently i i can never tell the difference
[3243.58] Andy: between true diversity and antenna diversity anyway i mean it's it's basically doing the
[3248.46] Andy: same thing which is picking the the best picture really isn't it so yeah it's all about how it
[3253.58] NJ: transitions between the two signals and if it doesn't distract you um but yeah it'd be interesting
[3259.02] NJ: to see what these uh these goggles are like there's another technology that's i think on
[3264.22] NJ: the way out um you know is and let me say make sure i say this correctly uh is dt i don't want
[3272.06] NJ: to make sound not i std because that would be that's the child internet that would not say
[3277.34] NJ: that would not say yeah uh yeah so that hack stop it
[3285.42] NJ: yes anyway they've got this big non-engine on tony i'm just gonna i'm just gonna feel i didn't
[3291.18] NJ: hear it um yeah um they've got a new thing here which is their battery go checker now this is
[3299.98] NJ: the battery go technology have you heard about this so there's not a lot known about it and
[3304.14] NJ: this product's like super premature because it's it's supporting something that isn't even out yet
[3309.74] NJ: but i think the idea is that there's going to be some kind of chip or something that goes in the
[3315.74] NJ: battery so that you can actually read information about the current draw of each cell and that kind
[3321.1] NJ: of thing and then this has got an xt 60 i don't know if we can see it here but there's a little pin
[3327.18] NJ: there's a third pin up at the top there oh yeah you can kind of make out um and that's going to
[3333.18] NJ: give you when you connect to this and this battery go technology works it will be able to
[3337.58] NJ: download or you'll be able to view information from the battery um so that would be quite an
[3343.82] NJ: interesting thing i'd like all the stuff that this company do i std a really uh really good
[3350.7] Tony: really good charges i've got the field charges and one of my mates has got one of them battery
[3356.94] Tony: goes and one of my where we were flying on sun uh last sunday and one of my friends had a really
[3363.74] Tony: he had like a really high reading on one of his cells it was like four thirty five four eighteen
[3369.42] Tony: four eighteen that's the million resistance of the cell he plugged it in and that checker
[3375.5] Tony: um drew the um four thirty five down to four twenty and leveled everything off for him
[3381.82] Tony: oh great i think i think they're like 20 quid aren't they or something like that um well they
[3385.98] NJ: do a couple of different ones but yeah this is i think this is the standard cell checker that
[3390.54] NJ: they do which is great um that's just really good to have in your flight bag anyway but this is
[3395.58] NJ: yeah it's called bats go um that's it but yeah and it'll do it'll read uh pulse with module as
[3401.9] NJ: well so you can plug in a receiver or uh you can look at the modulation from your transmitter if
[3409.5] NJ: you wanted to do that and it's quite a useful tool but it's just kind of it's out before a lot
[3414.86] NJ: of this stuff has kind of got purpose yet um another thing it'll do it will balance the cells
[3420.22] NJ: of a battery on its own so you can plug your balance port in and set balance and it will
[3423.82] NJ: actually go about balancing the battery as a standalone device which you think is a bit weird
[3428.3] NJ: because most of us use balancing charges anyway but i've got some old batteries that are sitting
[3433.82] NJ: around and they weirdly you'll find they do some of them will kind of drift out and it's nice just
[3439.9] NJ: to be at a check and rebalance the battery without having to hook out your charger if you want yeah
[3445.02] Tony: that's what he did on on the weekend yeah yeah the battery's in and he just leveled everything
[3450.14] Tony: out really nicely and you know what's really weird you can't go wrong it was really weird
[3454.46] NJ: a friend of mine a great fp fpv pilot actually freestyle pilot uh called bruno carmo fpv bruno
[3461.1] NJ: um he in that period between kind of the end of winter are getting flying again he stored a
[3466.94] NJ: load of rline batteries and the rline batteries are great as we know they're the decent cells
[3472.3] NJ: um high performance like 90c uh 4s and on all four of the packs he had i think it was cell one
[3480.14] NJ: was almost completely flat which is really peculiar and i couldn't quite work out how
[3485.74] NJ: that would happen just by the nature in the way of 4s is wired up you know got the four
[3490.62] NJ: in series and then you've got the connections to your balance port that are all terminated
[3494.94] NJ: at the jst plug so i don't know why or how that could have happened but every single one had this
[3499.82] NJ: problem um so it's no harm to have something like that where you can just check all your
[3504.62] NJ: batteries lying around the house i mean i've got six s 5000 milliamp helicopter batteries here that
[3509.74] NJ: are sat in storage you know every so often it's good just to make sure nothing's drifting out
[3514.3] Jack: on one of those or doing anything weird um RC you do do you remember all things that fly podcast
[3522.78] Jack: do you remember is it RC powers or whatever his name is he said something about storing your
[3530.46] Jack: batteries in the fridge and it's actually the only time you can do that yeah that's if it's
[3536.78] NJ: full if you if you fully charge the battery i mean it's it's kind of it's if you're gonna if
[3543.34] NJ: you fully charge a battery you fly it the next day it's it's fine if you're gonna if you fully
[3547.1] NJ: charge a battery and you want to store it for any longer then the idea is to chill them and they
[3552.7] NJ: won't wreck the battery quite as quick as if you just leave a fully charged battery you know sat
[3557.9] NJ: there at room temperature but it's yeah i'd personally i think i wouldn't worry about it
[3563.34] NJ: if you're gonna do that put it in a airtight plastic bag don't just whack it in the fridge
[3568.14] Andy: did you see that video about massaging the batteries as they charged i thought that was ridiculous
[3574.46] Frank: all the other really important thing about if you're chilling in a really important thing about
[3580.06] Frank: chilling a battery is making sure it's warmed up to room temperature or ambient temperature before
[3585.5] Frank: taking it out of the plastic bag otherwise everything condenses on it and you've you've
[3590.78] NJ: got a whole world of pain you don't know and also cold batteries fly terribly too so you wouldn't
[3595.9] Tony: want to fly it straight out the fridge no down the pants then in the copter indeedy
[3603.18] Jack: i need that on the shirt tony 2017 out the fridge down the pants then in the copter
[3615.02] Tony: what is yourself some ldo t-shirts with the ldo outside on the front and the down the pants
[3621.98] Tony: i had a fridge down a pants in a copter on the back
[3627.66] Jack: oh my god look they sell
[3631.5] Jack: oh it's in the chat tony if you can get that tattooed to your ass i'll be really nice to the
[3636.7] Andy: mode one uh do you do you guys sell ldo t-shirts i'd buy some of those if you if you've got some
[3644.54] NJ: well we've had nj paid for yours i still need to yeah i need to sort that and wear it and yeah
[3654.94] Tony: i think we i think we're gonna do some um i'm gonna i'm gonna front the money for another batch
[3661.66] Tony: of 10 but it means getting jack off his ass to actually go down and print them because they're
[3666.62] Jack: all hand printed by jack i i don't print them i do not print them my old boss who hates me
[3673.18] Jack: for instance he like grunts at me and stuff okay i think that's why he did it wrong on purpose
[3680.3] Tony: so we are going to do some because a couple of people have asked for him um i want to take dude
[3685.58] Tony: be down down there so we're gonna do another 10 so if you want on andy i'll see we will certainly
[3691.98] Andy: sort you out i definitely want one yes i'll send the money over for you excellent or we will we
[3698.78] Tony: all do that because a couple of people have asked for them and then nj are you going on tour anytime
[3704.38] NJ: soon uh i'm out i've got a tour of holland in uh the beginning of november right i'm gonna send
[3711.98] Tony: this anyway and then guilt you you have to wear it and have a think about it playing so for you
[3720.94] Tony: great in bed with this on i like this pickle and i'll never get cold to work again
[3732.3] Andy: i hope she never sees this god
[3737.58] Jack: mate if she watched the first 10 minutes of this you'd be in a coma
[3742.94] Jack: it'd be on the mirror
[3744.7] Jack: in 10 days this is girl repellent you know what i mean like
[3751.42] Jack: her eyes would start bleeding let alone becoming death it's actually a very good point
[3757.5] Jack: it's a very good point she'd be like flat earth she would just like throw the hat top out the window
[3763.58] Tony: and where did they get that yeti from can we ask can we put i'm gonna put a shout out
[3775.5] Tony: to our people on you know our regulars who tune in uh who would pay for an ldo t-shirt if i front
[3783.58] Tony: the money and get get them all done who put in the chat if you'd like a t-shirt and what size
[3790.62] Jack: let's just see three mortgage now mate no one's gonna buy them
[3795.26] Andy: i reckon we'll get a few people buying it and you've got to buy it here for sure i'm always after
[3802.22] Frank: clothes there you go boy and mikey dreaded booth said yeah there you go there's two more there's
[3808.06] Jack: three hang on let me straw poll it hang on do they want the bootleg versions or not baby boy wants one
[3818.22] Andy: can i just ask uh a lot of people they don't weren't understanders but i saw you guys posted
[3822.94] Andy: a picture of some they look like metal sheets with the left oh right sorry
[3839.18] Tony: i don't know what you're all about we don't know what you're talking about
[3842.86] Andy: i don't know that's why i'm asking
[3846.38] Jack: definitely no shiny things but um david vindestar was not coming down next week
[3852.94] Frank: changing the subject entirely so uh we've said about uh the hobby king event this weekend
[3858.86] Frank: probably going to be wet but we'll still be out there um delta hawks have said that their event
[3865.1] Frank: this weekend uh up near derby um there's uh already seven pilots in reserve so don't bother
[3873.5] Frank: signing up but also they've said they're having a look at the weather and they're gonna say
[3877.82] Frank: a decision tomorrow night um so that's the friday the eighth whether they're gonna run it or not
[3883.82] Frank: just because at the moment it looks a bit um what is this hobby king no that's uh the delta hawks
[3891.34] Frank: event upper that's the penultimate uh british championships qualifying event and then the last
[3899.58] Frank: british championships qualifying event is it's going to be next week weekend uh at the 3d
[3906.78] Frank: championships um so lots of heli guys so jack isn't welcome um and that's up near lester um
[3915.74] Frank: but there are still a few places for that i spoke to them this evening they said the the
[3920.78] Frank: they're still looking for a few people they've got a load of people going for their
[3925.5] Frank: racing up um up there so uh but there's still a few spaces so if anyone wants to get in with a
[3933.02] Frank: last chance to fly uh in the um in a qualifying event for the bfpvra british championships which
[3941.5] Frank: is uh end of october then i've just put the link in the chat to their sign up um where's that
[3950.06] Frank: and that's up near lester so it's the 3d championships is it's another big way everything
[3955.74] Tony: is miles away so it's not the blooming well so yeah until it comes down south i'm not doing it
[3965.18] Frank: so far away you can go down to cornball they've been doing loads down there
[3968.7] Tony: everything's too far away this year like it started in the south and it's just moved up north
[3974.62] Tony: every fpv event has been all the event organizers have all got burnt out only
[3982.7] Frank: so you can find some people to organize some events the um that i mean there's the the quad
[3988.14] Frank: club uh guys um so the drone zone arriving flies i've checked with chris g and they're
[3995.02] Frank: going to continue them on throughout the winter so uh and they run like from early in the morning
[4000.86] Frank: to late in the afternoon so if there is any of those days that they're running where there's
[4006.86] Frank: a taller break in the weather then there'll be loads of flying going on there even throughout
[4011.1] Frank: the winter so bring your coats and bring your transmitter mitts and whatever and that will still
[4015.58] Frank: be the depths of winter um so the next one that they're doing is sunday the 17th and they do it
[4025.34] Frank: kind of fortnightly and alternating between sunday and saturday i'm going to the sunday the 17th one
[4032.38] Jack: um there you go yeah sherman if you're out of toilet paper buy a let your drone out shirt
[4038.62] Jack: and uh london fpv said next event's tony's backyard i'm well up for that um i actually
[4045.02] Jack: haven't got a backyard i've only got a front one you got a shed in your backyard i've got a shed
[4052.3] Tony: i've got the i'm getting it where the shed should be i'm getting and getting ready for a shed it's
[4057.5] Tony: going in soon richy richy's coming around and doing a shed yeah um our our fish people said yes
[4066.3] Jack: to uh t-shirts than no jack so yeah whether you'll actually get the money out of them who knows
[4075.58] Tony: i'm gonna front the money and then we'll get the money back to me so i think
[4081.34] Jack: he's winning at me he winches at me anyway i'm gonna put an episode up tonight as well um
[4089.82] Jack: uh uh sushi thank you mate for the uh that sorted me out and uh yeah tony is that done
[4101.76] Jack: yep peace he learns from his dogs
[4106.96] Tony: it's a feral house that one is highly intelligent the one downstairs
[4113.2] Jack: yeah hang on refresh results i bet it says more than two people two people said yes one said no
[4124.0] Tony: well there you go the majority wins
[4128.32] Tony: you idiot oh my god is digby dan ever gonna stop this no let's keep rolling i like this
[4138.16] NJ: there's a question here from davey boy saying is there any micro brushless quads that can
[4143.04] NJ: be flown in the house um or a brushless motor is just two nuts for that well personally i think
[4149.76] NJ: you really want to go maximum kind of 2s and keep it light and preferably one with prop guards
[4157.84] NJ: because the performance is great so they're much more they're much nicer at flying you can fly them
[4163.04] NJ: more confidently but they will do a little more damage actually the person who's got the most
[4167.76] NJ: experience with tons of different brushless uh micros is andy so he's a good one to get an
[4171.92] Andy: opinion on this well he's mode one i think that brushless for indoors is a little bit over the
[4185.44] Andy: top now people tell me all the time that they burn out brushed motors i'm yet to have a brush
[4191.76] Andy: mode to burn out on me but people tell me that they do i find brushless indoors is a little bit
[4198.4] Andy: too much mostly because the noise usually when i'm like flying indoors there's other people in the
[4204.24] Andy: house and the the brushless motors with the the tiny props they absolutely scream and like you
[4210.88] Andy: say even if they've got prop protectors on you can you could easily do some damage by doing full
[4217.12] Andy: throttle in it going through the ceiling so for me i i keep for indoors i mean there are there are
[4224.16] Andy: brushless models out there that will fly nicely indoors but with brush models because they don't
[4229.68] Andy: have the power i find they're a little bit more efficient and you'll get along the flight time
[4234.72] Andy: indoors so i tend to keep the brush models indoors and the brushless outdoors that's sort of
[4241.6] Frank: what i tend to go for andy you've you've i've seen your video on the uh duffstex 58 i think
[4250.88] Andy: yeah yeah um have you had to go with that indoors i have i have yeah um with that particular one
[4258.88] Andy: i i think i had to switch it to a high volt battery the problem the problem with a lot of these
[4266.24] Andy: micros is they're definitely pushing the boundaries i think when it comes to
[4270.64] Andy: amp draw and things like that and the connectors not being big enough so yeah with the with the
[4278.8] Andy: dust 58 you don't get a good lick on them like a good old deans no that exactly and i find that i
[4288.32] Andy: suffer with a lot of brownout issues with them because they're just drawing so many amps whether
[4293.68] Andy: it's the esc that resets or the flight controller resets or the camera cutting out um the a lot of
[4301.76] Andy: those models using the what's the flight controller called it is it called the pepper fish i think
[4307.28] Andy: every single model i tried with that flight controllers had some kind of power issues so
[4313.84] Andy: yeah i i struggled with that but uh what was that model i reviewed a model in the week it was called
[4320.24] Andy: the full speed bat and it uses a one s only flight controller and that's that's been one
[4328.16] Andy: of the best that i've reviewed lately no power issues yeah and i was pretty impressed with that
[4334.16] Andy: as jack shows it shows off his tramp there it's not a vtx it's a it's someone he he uh
[4340.8] Andy: allow us to live in his house for free what's that that is the bearing puller in question
[4348.72] Jack: and this is a motor all right and you stick it in tony this is how you were made
[4356.0] Jack: oh no wait no that's yeah you were before Adam it looks a little bit pointy to me to be realistic
[4363.2] Jack: yeah and then rounded off a little bit if you just look at the tolerances look ready
[4371.44] Jack: just it don't so what do you do do you jam it in at an angle like you know just basically
[4378.56] Andy: what everyone else does just jab it in and hope for the best he's going to sod all this is
[4384.8] Andy: can i can i ask a question like to me the the difficult part is removing the
[4393.36] Jack: difficult part removing the c-clip how are you removing the c-clip with um servo uh uh no uh
[4400.88] NJ: circlip removers yeah that's that's what i was about to say get some proper c-clip uh tools to
[4406.8] NJ: to do that otherwise you're always going to be picking them off aren't you in love somewhere
[4412.24] Andy: i use tweezers and they always fly off everywhere i need some rubber tools um if you use tweezers
[4418.8] Jack: get you know those really big um zip lock bags yeah put your hands inside one of them
[4426.0] Jack: and then do it that's inside the bag put it in the bag oh friend i'll put a condom on it with hot glue
[4435.28] Jack: it doesn't work oh friendly c-clip friend c-clip friends
[4445.12] Jack: david's oh
[4455.44] Andy: can i just say speaking of david have you been watching the rocket knife stuff
[4459.52] Andy: yeah man oh so good i absolutely love it it's fantastic yeah
[4464.72] Tony: yeah he's so like he he just absolutely loves it don't he he's like so childlike yeah yeah it's
[4472.08] Tony: lovely i love seeing that he's like oh look at this what happened it's him playing with his
[4477.44] Jack: brother with the barbies i was like oh are they still coming after all of these years that's
[4483.52] Jack: quite amusing wasn't it i know um so choose next tuesday wednesday he's down depending on what
[4492.96] Jack: is happening with youtube but i i'll chat to him soon about trying to arrange a meet-up if you guys
[4500.16] Jack: want what is coming to uk oh wow yeah man so i will have a word with him and try and see whether we can
[4509.04] Tony: all meet up that that would be cool andy do you want to come down for that come down it's it's
[4515.68] Tony: really far for me though all you gotta do is get a train and then we'll take care of you
[4523.2] Andy: yeah you can live in tony shed is that a euphemism or what i i still don't i'm with
[4530.56] Andy: this southern dialect i struggle with it living in a shed he's he's going to get with it you can
[4535.84] Andy: get a flight back home flight back no there's no there's nothing around me there's no airports or
[4542.8] NJ: anything i live in the middle of nowhere man nec this is not this is not stoke international
[4556.56] Jack: oh my god that is nj's cracking jokes i'm definitely up for uh for a yeah
[4565.2] Tony: meeting him so that'd be fun look at him about flat earth anyway look at me like you know
[4572.8] Andy: david david does not believe the earth is flat surely not well i finally i had a conversation
[4581.28] Jack: with him i was like can you bring proof with you it's my idiot what did i say to him hang on
[4587.84] Jack: i said wait for it wait for it didn't david send a glider to space yeah exactly he used to go pro
[4596.4] Tony: with a you know fish island so it made it look round yeah yeah hang on oh my god he's an idiot
[4605.28] Frank: um and erc asked in the chat earlier how would we prove to you i did yeah because yeah because i
[4616.48] Andy: was watch i watch a lot of stuff on youtube and i think that's one of the ways that you get into
[4620.96] Jack: the flat earth thing oh my god no you get into flat earth by being isolated from society well
[4630.56] Andy: basically i i what i watched the video of neil degrasse tyson and i realized that if you were a
[4635.92] Andy: flat earth person neil degrasse tyson is like the devil um and and he was saying that um he he asked
[4643.44] Andy: somebody what would it take to prove that we went to the moon because there's a lot of moon conspiracies
[4650.4] Andy: there it all it all sort of goes in hand in hand and the person said well a picture of the landing
[4655.68] Andy: sites and then he showed them the picture of the landing site some chinese pro went up there and
[4661.76] Andy: took some pictures and then someone said well nasa faked that so he came to the conclusion that
[4667.12] Andy: if somebody believes something you no matter if you give them the most amount of proof they'll
[4672.16] Andy: always come up with a reason for why their idea is correct yeah sounds a lot like religion
[4680.08] Jack: yeah yeah the number one reason they don't believe you is because they're inbred
[4686.0] Andy: i don't know i don't believe that because i think i think tone is really interesting because
[4691.04] Andy: it was a specimen no no because because because to me being being vegan and believing the earth
[4700.72] Andy: is flat there there's a pole the opposite to me but it's not they they completely are because
[4706.96] Andy: because veganism is uh i completely agree with it i think that veganism is probably the future
[4713.2] Andy: but then like and it's quite a left-wing don't encourage him it's like it's you ever want to
[4718.48] Andy: come back on this show i think i think tony's got more control over this show than i think
[4726.96] Jack: that's why oh no yeah trust me he moans i just i just agree with him i don't want to do the show
[4733.92] Jack: anymore you can't do not do the show you come back i'll find a way you can come back
[4740.24] Andy: this show wouldn't work with this show wouldn't work without jack or tony i don't think you're
[4745.36] Jack: you're like a a couple i would say oh my god the thing is you guys you three cannot leave us alone
[4753.2] Jack: for too long we start getting a bit weird so this is what the meeting was supposed to be about
[4759.52] Jack: was don't leave us to our own devices hence what i was on about earlier do you want to go to trial
[4766.96] Jack: and like nj immediately was just like hand face oh my god that is the worst thing he could think
[4777.04] Jack: other than having some sort of sex show between jack and tony he cannot think of anything worse
[4783.92] Tony: well i i i think i thank you for my vegan beliefs at least um i think i think it's the way forward
[4794.56] Andy: for sure yeah but i think i also think it's interesting that uh that's because because
[4800.4] Andy: to me being a vegan is a very left wing thing left wing thing and believing the earth is flat
[4805.44] Jack: is a right wing thing so you can't really do you know where is the political stance in uh with
[4812.08] Jack: whether what shake the earth is
[4817.92] Andy: i just i just see a lot of like people who think they're communist pig dog
[4823.76] Andy: i just i just think like i can just imagine uh i'm not gonna get into this i'll get into a lot of
[4829.12] Andy: trouble no no come on i just i just say that it seems like i don't know right wing to me seems like
[4837.44] Andy: flat earth and right wing goes together because it's you know it's quite a crazy idea and vegan
[4843.2] Tony: and definitely left wing but no nasa pictures have ever been real oh my god find me a picture
[4853.2] Andy: what what is real from nasa are any of the flat earth pictures real so how can you you know
[4873.44] Andy: right but i've got a theory i i've got this theory right and it is that the flat earth people are the
[4879.36] Andy: smartest people on the earth i'll tell you i'll tell you why because i think the flat earth people
[4886.4] Andy: believe that the earth is round but they are and they are trolling the entire of the internet
[4893.36] Andy: because they know it winds people up so much to say that it's flat that they will it it kind of
[4900.88] Andy: and that that's my theory i think flat earth people it's like the biggest in joke on the internet
[4906.96] Andy: and like anyone who believes the earth is flat actually believes it's round but it's too funny
[4912.56] Andy: to say that it's flat and argue all the time so that's my theory is that correct tony oh my god
[4921.68] Jack: he's like i know this is a bit hard he's caught me out i thought so i know i know i really like
[4930.08] Tony: the comment that davey boy is in the comments i've got to read it out i don't care he's listening
[4937.2] Tony: tony you too no this one it's it's a much better laugh on here with jack and tony jay used to
[4943.84] Tony: bore the crap out of me sorry guys but he did sorry i had to say that uh and jay's back to being
[4951.84] Jack: oh no bring on the sex show look i didn't say that it was i know i'm reading out comments that's all
[4959.68] Jack: that's all there co-host tony thinks the earth's flat you don't mind bringing evidence with you
[4964.96] Jack: that it's not for real what the fuck don't let it reproduce
[4971.2] Jack: uh space x and how flat was the it's my secret motive behind your visit to meet him sitting down
[4983.28] Jack: and educate him who you you listen to the tin foil hat episode i don't mind talking to him
[4995.28] Jack: it would be fascinating to meet someone like that it's it really is he's like my car pilkington
[5003.68] Jack: where do i find the tin foil hat episode i'm like you should save it for the plane journey
[5009.04] Jack: i don't know much about carl pilkington so i sent him the carl pilkington's complete diaries
[5016.8] Jack: and then he just says thank you that is funny tony brings me on to my next thing will you keep
[5023.76] Jack: a diary tony's diary uh yeah about all your flat earth and vegan things and like today i rescued a
[5031.76] Jack: pigeon like i phoned him up periodically and he he just he instantly gets distracted and then starts
[5039.36] Jack: telling me about a wood pigeon that that started eating whole acorns i was watching so i'm waiting
[5045.92] Jack: i'm outside the hospital right me outside the hospital right he should be dragged into a mental
[5053.2] Jack: hospital um but he's there ten whole minutes telling me about this wood pigeon and like trying
[5061.84] Jack: to the the thought motions of tony being like how is this pigeon going to digest the whole acorn
[5068.0] Jack: i should have um i should have recorded it and stars radio diaries is that what he started
[5087.04] Jack: talking to my ex-girlfriend and sending her bloody photos of um photos of uh fucking goats and that
[5096.64] Jack: he's got like a whole family of goats i love doing that house when i clean that show them the goats
[5103.12] Jack: hang on wait wait wait it's on my round oh god so he's got all the goats he knows all the fucking
[5110.88] Jack: names they're like i think and the pigs oh god and the pigs hang on hang on here we go
[5121.04] Tony: just be friends with um goliaths like you do you know animal is it because i resemble an animal is
[5128.8] Tony: that why you like me just you are like if you walked across the Himalayas they'd be like what
[5134.8] Jack: the hell there's the yeti always done you there our tone there's a bird for you right there
[5143.84] Tony: she likes you i'm a goat she always comes and says hello
[5149.12] Tony: look i've just stood there i'm the animal whisperer look they can't smell meat on me
[5153.28] Tony: so they come and say hello you know what i mean oh my god that is why i can just animals tony
[5160.56] Jack: fascinating life day to day the little things i might do that honestly it's a cross between
[5168.32] Jack: mary poppins who's lost her in mind and study the animal wispe that's no white you know i'm gonna
[5179.68] Tony: i'm gonna vlog my my daily routine and chase your missus having a go at you
[5185.36] Jack: has she been listening is that why you've gone off camera muted me this is the other room he's
[5190.32] Jack: is he had enough oh god he's probably soliciting calls from the unholy one
[5199.76] Andy: yeah it's it's stopped being a show about drones about 20 minutes ago it's my fault because i
[5204.4] Jack: mentioned flat earth oh my god no one told me uh oh digby dan can you probably stop the stream
[5213.6] NJ: are you all right nj is everything all right uh al has asked about um the new sunny sky motors
[5222.48] NJ: that go on the new diatone gt2 so i shall show him because he's asked a couple of times to see
[5228.72] NJ: them but yeah they're very in the motors they're very beautiful they are they don't look great yeah
[5236.4] NJ: they're really very good in this new vibration isolating system that's in this looks quite
[5241.84] NJ: interesting so yeah it's very it's very pretty it's a bit of a it's a bit of a piggy though
[5248.24] NJ: it's a little bit heavier than the old one but i guess these are 22.05 or 23.05 they're
[5255.84] NJ: like 20 bigger than me when yeah they are they're 23 23.06 the old one was pretty heavy because it
[5265.84] Andy: was just a huge chunk of carbon wasn't it exactly yeah well these five mill yeah five mill um
[5275.12] NJ: yeah yeah they should be uh should be interesting to see how that one falls the review coming out
[5281.52] NJ: nj i'll look forward to that um i shall hopefully have that out at the beginning of next week um
[5287.92] NJ: i did quite quite a few reviews and flights on the old one so i know that frame and how it flies
[5292.88] NJ: quite well so it'd be interesting to see what they've improved or or not and yeah hopefully it
[5298.24] NJ: will be uh it will be good the only thing i don't like that they've kept from the old one
[5303.2] NJ: is the diatone sp2 uh vtx and those i've had a few of those like probably four and they're all
[5312.48] NJ: terrible when it comes to filtering they they're just so much horizontal banding noise yeah they're
[5320.4] NJ: terrible for that so that's probably the only thing that as soon as i've done the review if
[5324.48] NJ: i like the way it flies and i'm going to continue flying it i'll i'll take that out and switch it
[5328.0] NJ: for something else are they selling the motors um on their own i think sunny sky are yeah um
[5334.8] NJ: they're sunny sky motors they are yeah they've they've made no qualms in uh they haven't hidden
[5339.84] NJ: that at all that fact they've said this has been made with uh the the help of sunny sky and it's
[5345.6] NJ: basically their motor so you can get them as as a proper sunny sky branded motor um but they
[5351.68] NJ: feel really smooth and you know i've had a quick hover test with it and checked it all out and
[5356.16] NJ: they seem to deliver a lot of power so yeah it'd be interesting to see how that flies yeah i did
[5360.88] Tony: like the old one yeah there's nothing wrong with running five mil i i run five mil on my race goods
[5369.44] NJ: yeah it's it's it is a chunky frame definitely and it's is it laminated like the last one like
[5375.44] NJ: shiny yes it has got that kind of uh cellulose lacquer coat on it like a car paint would um
[5382.88] NJ: which uh that's fine it's nice and smooth there's no sharp edges which is obviously a good thing
[5389.12] Andy: yeah we'll see how that one goes you get all the great stuff and i haven't got any of this
[5394.48] Andy: i don't have the battery thing i don't have the gt2 i think i upset a lot of people really
[5400.24] Andy: i look forward to your reviews of it yeah and the goggles because i don't have the goggles
[5408.4] Jack: i think nj avoids the show gets the good stuff and then comes back to the show
[5416.24] Jack: i think that's what it is i think what's happened is andy i see you haven't spaced it out you've
[5421.36] Jack: been like asking stuff come on this show they check you out and they're like oh god no
[5426.8] Andy: i don't ask for stuff i think that's my issue i this is what we we had a conversation about
[5432.4] NJ: this didn't we but i've said initially i was being i was being sent links for just completely
[5438.08] NJ: ridiculous things that i'm never going to review what hoover no like well not that ridiculous but
[5443.76] NJ: i mean they are sort of flying toys but stupid flying toys that aren't appropriate to my
[5448.0] NJ: subscribers and just not in you know they're not serious enough so i ended up kind of being quite
[5453.6] NJ: short with the person that was sending me all these things saying no i don't want to review
[5458.0] NJ: that bumblebee shaped quadcopter um and and then eventually i just and i wasn't trying to be mean
[5464.08] NJ: but i just sort of ended up being a bit of a bully and saying well you know if you're going to keep
[5467.36] NJ: asking i want to review this um and just go cold until they came back and said yes so i've ended
[5474.0] NJ: up just being a bit of a bit of a bully really and asking for for very specific things um you
[5479.68] Jack: are a total diva you've been hanging around with sof too much i want my rider all the show ain't
[5486.0] NJ: happening no she's got a diva though she's actually very lovely she's she's not diva-ish
[5490.56] Jack: at all i don't i'm sticking up for her are you
[5497.2] Tony: as long as she's still paying he's been away for four weeks he's never going to come back
[5502.4] Jack: i know
[5508.48] Tony: i haven't seen that what's that frank about the dji
[5511.76] Tony: i uh inspire three i didn't even know they had a spire free coming out
[5518.48] Tony: fuck on the link you'll understand you shut up for a minute we're talking
[5524.24] Andy: do you guys can i can i ask can i ask yeah i was going to say do you guys run dji
[5529.76] Andy: because there's a there's a clear line isn't there between race drones and then aerial photography
[5536.24] Tony: so where do you guys sit with that i've got a phantom free pro and i've had it for two years
[5542.24] Jack: and i love it yeah yeah till the usb stopped working properly it works fine no it didn't dji
[5552.32] Andy: are definitely the leaders when it comes to aerial photography from everything i agreed i i think
[5557.44] Andy: they're great platform i think it's completely separate to the race quads but i think they go
[5562.32] Frank: hand in hand in that you know i've still haven't seen a dji snail set up in person in the flesh
[5572.48] Andy: go on go on nj oh why dji snail yeah i'm kind of tethered here this is the problem
[5579.12] Andy: what's a dji snail
[5584.24] NJ: he's so professional
[5591.76] Frank: was there a racing setup with their racing escs in those yeah they did a race
[5599.6] NJ: so what i do have here and this was courtesy of a friend of mine that works at redfin models in
[5604.96] NJ: the uk is this a live unboxing no dropping isn't this exciting um no it's not the uh the quad itself
[5613.92] NJ: but these are the snail motors with their fancy weird i think you can kind of clip on yeah that
[5623.12] NJ: weird yeah yeah yeah laughing there so there's these motors and they're has this got their
[5630.0] NJ: speed controller as well i think so yeah which are really tiny but um these have been tested
[5636.88] NJ: by a friend of mine who i trust very much uh matt constable over at redfin and he said he was
[5641.92] NJ: absolutely astounded at how smooth and good these motors were so he's ripped them off his quads and
[5646.72] NJ: said you know put them on your regular rig um so i'm going to chuck them on something i've got here
[5652.0] NJ: just to see what they're like i'm now very interested um but yeah they're quite
[5658.16] NJ: quite interesting looking motors protocol
[5663.04] NJ: i'd say again protocol for the um it's it's their own esc protocol i think i don't think it's uh
[5670.64] NJ: anything i'm sure i asked this question is there someone in the chat note i don't know it's not um
[5676.8] NJ: it's not the shop it's not it's something uh one shot one two five kind of territory that
[5682.88] Frank: kind of baby boy says uh they have some eses as well but they only run one shot one two five
[5688.32] NJ: oh there you go so that's what it is those are the eses then that they're talking that he's talking
[5692.64] NJ: about those are the exo i'll probably not bother with these and i'll just get straight onto the
[5697.04] Frank: motors and try them out how much of the props do we know because i imagine that they're fancy
[5704.16] NJ: they're not cheap i don't know um apparently yeah but yeah bag of bag of bits there so i'll
[5714.4] NJ: try those motors out on a frame actually i tell you i've got a perfect frame to try these out on
[5718.32] NJ: which is quite light which is again something andy's already done that it's the b-fight 210
[5724.4] NJ: which was a frame that banggood sent me to review and in the time it took them to send it to me and
[5729.92] NJ: for it to arrive for me to review they've stopped selling it um so it has it has no purpose now in
[5736.08] Andy: life so i'll give that sounds like jack he's got no purpose now in life i know best still sell it
[5744.64] NJ: it's really it's like 120 quid yeah yeah yeah it's um so it's gonna have uh i think i'll put
[5753.12] NJ: those in in that and see how that that works out so yeah i'll try i've just had a look in the
[5759.52] Frank: the snail 5048 tries uh for the full set of four three pound 32 so it's not bad not a quid more i
[5769.28] Andy: always find that interesting that with dji the propellers are usually the the cheapest thing
[5775.2] Andy: where when when you think about it they should be the most expensive the most important thing
[5779.28] Andy: but yeah for the phantom four you can get propellers for like three pound it's like what
[5784.4] Andy: but the drone costs you know 1200 pounds really it's the most important thing isn't it i think
[5792.0] Andy: but yeah that's the one thing that dji does cheaply as propellers yeah absolutely uh it's
[5799.36] NJ: interesting the the whole prop thing at the minute i'd still my hands down still my favorite
[5804.96] NJ: propeller is the cyclone uh uh five zero four fives yeah i think as soon as things started
[5813.04] NJ: going to these crazy high pitches um that for me those only work on uh very light quadcopters and
[5821.68] NJ: if uh otherwise you're just going to draw a huge current and you're going to make your battery cry
[5826.08] NJ: and the problem is you've got motors now that supply so much torque um the other most that was
[5831.04] NJ: mentioned in the chat was the cobra uh championship edition now that is my favorite motor hands down
[5836.56] Jack: i've got that on my favorite builds apparently um they lost one of the people from cobra
[5843.04] Jack: really one of the lead designers yeah unfortunately yeah i remember his name
[5849.92] NJ: they're amazing motors but my point is about the props is um these high torque motors will literally
[5857.36] NJ: take one of these 50 50 props and quite happily spin them and say to the battery give me everything
[5862.8] NJ: you've got because i'm gonna quite happily deliver this power and you'll end up with like one and a
[5867.28] NJ: half minutes worth of flight time and a battery that's going to last for about 50 cycles if that
[5872.0] NJ: before you completely kill it um so unless you're running super light setups i just think that
[5877.2] NJ: mainly although it's the fashion right now to have really high pitch props i think they're a terrible
[5882.08] NJ: idea um you must be running incredibly high capabilities but um the cyclone 50 45 is a
[5889.04] NJ: great combination between a bull nose it's got a nice rake uh a nice rake tip so that they are
[5896.56] NJ: nice and efficient and a little bit quieter on the tips um yeah everything about that propeller
[5902.16] NJ: design is is much more akin to uh good airflow good fluid dynamics and something that you're
[5909.12] NJ: more likely to see in general aviation you don't you don't see crazy yeah you don't see crazy props
[5916.56] NJ: like the uh some of these stupid high pitch props that are just nuts in and they look stupid
[5922.8] NJ: they're they're you don't see those out in the aviation world because those kind of designs are
[5928.32] NJ: just you know they're they're hugely inefficient um they look like a something you see on a
[5934.48] NJ: turbo prop when the props completely feathered um they might be good up at the very high kb high
[5940.48] NJ: end like when they get to the real high throttle ranges they might find a point of efficiency
[5945.44] NJ: there but everywhere else in the throttle range they're kind of terrible so um yeah i love
[5951.76] NJ: 50 45 yeah 50 45 is a great place to be around there 45 to 4 47 i think that's where things uh
[5960.88] NJ: things tend to work out well for the where we are with quad weights at around 500 grams i think if
[5965.44] NJ: you start getting lighter you can look at higher pitch but yeah i agree yeah rant over right um
[5973.2] Jack: please don't ever leave us alone nj if you can i still do my best well i'm around now for a good
[5980.96] NJ: couple of months so yeah i'll certainly uh jump on as much as i can i'll try with me where i can see
[5987.36] Jack: i know andy you're you're on here mate there's nothing you can do about it you've got to come
[5992.56] Jack: back all right guys raise your hand if you want andy arcy to be a permanent fixture oh definitely
[5998.56] Andy: you know this this is well past my bedtime you know i i really i'm on the red bulls to stay up
[6004.8] Jack: for this but i i love coming out if he is 12 no actually you wouldn't be able to be served red
[6011.12] Andy: bull you have to be 16 see really yeah oh it's not real red bull though it's like tesco's cheapy
[6017.84] Andy: stuff what's it called uh i got proof here look what it's called red thunder
[6022.8] Andy: three p of can you see i'm not i'm legit here yeah i'm usually up i'm usually up at 5am working
[6034.32] Andy: and then i'm in bed by eight o'clock so yeah so it's a stretch for me but don't worry i i
[6040.08] Andy: plan for it so i'll try and get on here as much as possible because you guys are awesome you want us
[6044.8] Andy: to move the show forward a bit no absolutely not no absolutely not because then we wouldn't clash
[6054.4] Jack: with uh uh rc model groups or whatever yeah i don't i don't does anyone actually listen to that
[6070.64] Andy: i can see it could be dawn i i listen to you guys i listen to the steel podcast quite a bit
[6076.72] Jack: as well because yeah i know but it's like all over the shop man it's like never what's all
[6082.24] Jack: over the shop this one no yeah that's what i love about it that's what i love about it no yeah we're
[6088.56] Jack: not quite as bad as them but they're like beat a flight three point seven one cutting your arm off
[6095.76] Tony: i i love the fact that this show isn't just quads it's fun as well yeah it's not it's just
[6105.44] Andy: fucking flat earth i think i think if you talk about quads for too long you can you can bore
[6111.6] Andy: even yourself if you're into it so i think you've got to mix it up a bit i think you've got a bit
[6116.0] Andy: of humor in there and yeah you've got to talk about whether five inches better than three i
[6121.6] Jack: mean you've you've got a you've like you've got to talk if one of your co-hosts is like with
[6128.48] Jack: sophie ellis bexster exclusively do you know what i mean who cares about four s here you know what
[6134.56] Andy: i mean you're like no way i think it's amazing yeah i think it's it's i couldn't believe it
[6144.16] NJ: but i don't i don't actually play with play guitar for very often so only one that once
[6149.28] NJ: now and again i used to be in a van years and years ago but i don't play for it that often
[6153.44] NJ: anymore just just now and again but yeah there are other people i'm working with now because i'm
[6159.2] NJ: named rifle whoever pays i will i will play for
[6164.4] Jack: what what about um anyone anyone else we might know what about natalie and brulee are you into
[6172.96] NJ: i don't think anyone is because i'm pretty sure that's not her surname
[6176.64] Tony: yeah i was gonna say who the hell is now
[6191.52] Jack: twain no no no what no one of them is canadian yeah what's wrong with her alanis morassette
[6203.84] Jack: she's canadian video to come and attractive
[6210.32] NJ: that's a bit ironic carry on i'm answering something in the chat
[6216.32] Tony: he's bringing it back yeah we've got to wrap up though man this is all right let's just make it
[6225.2] Tony: a two-hour show let's do let's do this is how awful this show is let's just do this
[6234.16] Frank: last question uh the englishy fpv has asked in the chat he's wearing a bmfi no uh fpv
[6241.84] Jack: uk gray shirt he's not in there anymore but where the hell did you get that from
[6250.88] Frank: that was from when i did my did my duty i was as being on the committee wow
[6257.76] Jack: jesus christ that is bmf a jury duty or something yeah that's that is basically fpv
[6264.64] Jack: pink prison jumpsuit right there boys oh yeah um sorry how much do you like that
[6272.48] Tony: tony have you tried the crossfire yet yeah micro crossfire yes we tried it saturday
[6280.16] Tony: it was pretty rock solid for probably how long do you think i've fired a mile and a half
[6286.96] Jack: i am yeah no
[6294.8] Jack: anything that andy says andy was there
[6298.8] Tony: line of sight with a spot pretty much rock solid and jack was my spot up with a pair of binoculars
[6308.4] Tony: if the earth was flat then you'd definitely stay in line of sight oh it was 100 flat and uh yeah
[6314.8] Tony: it was no they were rock solid and uh now mikey shred which is his new name mikey dread
[6321.12] Tony: he sent me a go pro thank you very much again uh yeah oh my god oh he's gonna
[6328.24] Jack: someone send jack something oh andy can you write a love song for fking tony and mikey
[6338.16] Jack: i probably it loves mikey or something like that i don't know let me just write
[6344.64] Jack: this down here that's that's golden yeah and like old sophie boy here can do the guitar riffs
[6354.48] Tony: you can play the drums
[6358.24] Jack: no what was the question after this show i am just gonna get a one-word message from
[6367.12] Jack: you
[6370.64] Jack: you got sent free heat shrink jack what yeah i did i know i i look yeah so where was your
[6379.04] Tony: thank you look at least i did earlier
[6385.26] Tony: oh god i hate this show we've got we've got nine minutes to make it two hours i'm sure
[6392.38] Jack: is there any more questions please yeah jay's got one go on nj have i yeah you're reading something
[6400.3] NJ: in chat and i was answering something in chat i was just talking about props well you can talk
[6406.46] Jack: out loud you can read stuff and then answer or and we can all learn no green patches stole
[6413.26] Jack: your um graphic for a t-shirt yeah no he didn't he asked for it he asked oh well you
[6421.1] Jack: kind of stole it i've got hang on i have i bought the pristine bag so this is my new fpv bag
[6432.78] Andy: i can keep all my fpv stuff in there i i wanted to ask you guys something has there been any
[6438.46] Andy: more information on what the the announcement regarding to drone registration in the uk it
[6445.98] Andy: seems to have gone a little bit quiet and i didn't heard anything yeah because
[6452.3] Jack: our representative simon dale doesn't actually talk to any of us
[6457.5] Jack: right i think i think he got to that level and he was just like i give up
[6463.18] Jack: yeah i just i could just i just have this phone him now i've got his mobile number
[6469.26] Tony: it's like ten o'clock the next ten minutes we can get him on next week
[6472.94] Jack: so yeah how's it going yeah it's me i know i know it's no no tony didn't fly for one mile
[6481.02] Jack: no it was ten meters yeah i get it all wrong one mile for me it's like yeah it's flat you can't
[6488.86] Jack: be the word that comes out of that man's mouth he's friends with goats
[6500.38] NJ: tony sensible question um that tbs uh micro tbs package was was that the package that
[6507.34] NJ: comes with the module or did you already have a module that it all comes together yeah and it's
[6513.58] Tony: what 130 quid some 13 pounds you get the module what plugs in the backer attack tyrannis and you
[6520.7] NJ: get um the um receiver so it's the receiver that it's is it kind of a long thing with a
[6527.58] NJ: silly long aerial what's the how yeah compare it to an xsr what's the kind of dimensions
[6533.58] Tony: an aerial what goes that way so it's like a t okay so you got an aerial that that way
[6541.42] Tony: which you put up through the wing and then a weird waggly bit what doesn't matter if it
[6546.94] Jack: lands on the ground so uh uh trailing um passive um the only thing is with it that i will say
[6557.9] Jack: is that you have to upgrade to open tx 2.2 so that you can use the louis script in order to
[6566.62] Jack: change the settings on it right so you have to go into like the menu read the sd card did you not
[6575.98] Jack: they've hidden a little game of snake on the uh memory card and you can execute the louis
[6581.42] Jack: script to play snake on your transmitter no did you not know that
[6589.82] Andy: that sounds like a pan was 360 video right there right there um
[6593.66] Jack: um i'm not actually talking to him because i did i i've recorded some um
[6600.86] Jack: you know the ceramic bearings do they do anything and then i i i read off my findings to him and
[6608.38] Jack: he was like but what about the efficiency does it does it help with efficiency and i'm like
[6616.14] Jack: what you want me to get a watt meter and a thrust stand and he was like yeah and i was just like
[6624.3] Andy: i can hate you well you'll see him at the weekend he's
[6630.54] Andy: i know it's so much effort man i i spoke to him i spoke to him yesterday and he said
[6637.02] Andy: he was seeing if i was coming down but he's getting a he's staying over there so he's
[6641.26] Andy: going for a couple of days but uh you'll get to see him there yeah be painless he's a cool guy
[6649.02] NJ: he is i know mikey's mikey dreads put a question in saying uh is there a premium quality silicone
[6657.26] NJ: wire that you guys use in your builds um short answer for me is no but i tend to just get all
[6664.06] NJ: my bits from reputable sellers and just uh i think as long as it is good silicone coated wire and and
[6671.66] NJ: just make sure you get the right gauge um and that's really about it there's nothing worse
[6677.74] Andy: there's nothing worse on non-silicon wire when you come to solder and then the plastic just burns up
[6683.98] Andy: the wire and it's horrible i hate it yeah a lot yeah silicon wire is just the best so i was saying
[6689.98] NJ: it's just but why did the esc manufacturers still insist on using plastic wire and all the escs like
[6696.54] Andy: everything moved to silicone it's so much easier probably cost i'd imagine if you look at the price
[6701.34] Andy: of silicon wire against the the plastic ones it is so much deer i imagine it's to do with that
[6707.66] Andy: but i hate it i'd rather spend the extra and not have because you can get shorts too because that
[6713.58] Andy: the plastic coating it burns up the wire and then eventually it it shows the the metal part
[6720.22] Andy: of the wire and you can get shorts and all stuff all sorts of stuff i hate it yeah it's horrible
[6725.26] Jack: horrible stuff the um uh what you call it um x4 os someone brought a new one of them and they
[6734.46] Jack: finally done silicone wires for that wow at last so praise the lord if threescott are actually
[6742.54] Jack: listening to us there's how you find the snake in the lewis grip so just put it in the chat
[6747.5] Frank: what about the uh the video uh frequency table that i sent you a link for at some point jack
[6754.94] Jack: have you tried that uh what on the lewis script yeah mate that's not out yet is it
[6761.66] Frank: has that been implemented no i sent you a link to it to set it up
[6767.34] Jack: oh no that's still in rc release candidate i am not mental there is no way i'm putting that on
[6772.7] Jack: my tyrannos like it will just go mental sorry like unless it's i did i did up on tony's though
[6781.1] Jack: i put the channel you're wrong so every time he starts up a new model the channels are like
[6788.38] Jack: completely in the wrong order just got a throttle in the switch is it i know i had it running on
[6793.1] Tony: beta flight um fossil martin fossil stuff sent me his i-o little tiny to it no 3s quad and on the
[6801.98] Tony: beta flight all my channels are right but wouldn't have armed it outside and put the props on it just
[6808.14] Tony: flew up in the air and flew right but any ideas nj i'm sorry i completely zoned out what was the
[6817.31] NJ: question no at least i'm honest i could have just i love it do you know what i was thinking about
[6828.51] NJ: right and this actually sounds slightly mad i was thinking about has anyone tried turtle mode and i
[6834.19] NJ: forgot about say i want to talk and say has anyone tried it because i programmed it well
[6838.83] NJ: i haven't tried it yet because i haven't crashed upside down but yeah we'll get on to that that's
[6842.91] Tony: what's holding the earth up turtle mode it is no but i've seen people burning out ese so be careful
[6853.63] Jack: out there if you're trying to flip it in longer only if you don't arm and do it put it in turtle
[6860.59] Andy: mode can i just say is this is this the mode where if you're upside down it tries to right
[6865.55] Andy: itself by yes in the mode and that is this something that only works with 32-bit eses as well
[6872.83] NJ: no it works with in fact there i don't think they've put the d shot commands into bl
[6877.79] NJ: heli 32 yet that seems to be taking a lot longer to update even though it's the newest protocol but
[6882.75] NJ: d shot 600 it's version 16.63 which if you update your eses to that you'll see in brackets it says
[6891.55] NJ: d shot commands and then it will work fine for um turtle mode and you yeah you have to
[6900.11] NJ: i think you do have to disarm to be able to get it to work on the mode from what i remember in
[6903.95] NJ: beta flight 3.2 um but i've checked it it all seems to be working but yeah that was my only
[6910.35] NJ: thing i was going to say is yeah if you if you're flying in long grass you do run the risk of
[6915.47] Tony: if they snag up i saw four motors burnt out on faceballs someone posted a picture of all four
[6921.95] Tony: of their copper wires on their motors black and mikey dread said turn turtle mode is for lazy
[6928.35] Tony: pilots get off your ass and go and get your quad it's a very good point and then hope that 3.7
[6934.43] NJ: doesn't rip your arm off yeah i mean there might it's no harm having it on there because there
[6939.71] NJ: might be an instant say for instance if you ended up on a flat roof of something and it was going to
[6945.55] NJ: be a nightmare get up there and then that might genuinely be a good pointing case to to have it
[6950.67] NJ: ready on the quad so there's no harm in that but if it was might if mine was faced down in long
[6955.31] NJ: grass i'd personally i just know all i'm going to do is the motors are going to stall and they're
[6959.07] NJ: going to heat up and go and get it yeah just walk up and flip it over yourself but you know it and
[6964.03] NJ: then the other thing is in a race maybe that's a lifesaver i don't i don't know i was what i
[6970.59] Andy: can't remember what video is what there's i was either watching a video or reading something and
[6975.87] Andy: there's going to be something coming out where if you if you're in acro mode and you hit a gate
[6982.59] Andy: it's going to notice that you know saying it and then it's going to put it in stability mode to
[6988.35] Andy: ride itself and there's also going to be beeps coming through as well so rub and having a buzzer
[6995.31] Andy: on on a switch that comes through the motors so that's that's already part of the new
[7000.03] NJ: renew version of bait flight so the three points so i've put rc4 on two of my quads and whenever
[7005.71] NJ: you trigger the beeper if you've got 16 6 3 on there with the d shop commands it will now actually
[7010.83] NJ: i think does it on 16 6 as well ignore that but yeah it will now buzz the the but if you leave
[7016.75] NJ: that going for a while let me give you this as a warning if you let that actually really does
[7021.47] NJ: heat your motors up making those noises and if you leave that going for five minutes while you're
[7025.95] NJ: looking for your quads no joke you'll get to your motors and they will be red hot um so if you're
[7032.99] NJ: going to have that set up only do it in small bursts to locate the quad um i still don't think
[7039.39] NJ: it's like a good alternative to actually just installing a one pound buzzer on your uh on your
[7045.55] NJ: quad but i mean it's clever it can do it but it's it's like it's a bit of a redundancy as well
[7051.79] NJ: yeah yeah just just don't leave it on like if you're trying to find your quad just do it in bursts
[7056.91] Jack: don't don't leave it i don't know i don't know why like kiss haven't put that up in the luis script
[7063.79] Jack: in order to do that so that so if you had a particularly bad crash and you're using a buzzer
[7069.79] Jack: and then you think hang in a minute i know it's around there i'm pressing the switch i can't name
[7073.87] Jack: buzzer i think the crash has damaged my buzzer you should be able to then luis script it to be like
[7079.47] Jack: beacon and then motors should beacon i think most of these things the nice thing with beta flight
[7086.03] NJ: they just end up offering everything on modes i mean if you look at the modes tab in beta flight
[7091.15] NJ: now it's it just goes on for ages there's so many things that you can do like that where you can
[7096.11] NJ: just assign it to a switch of your choice so yeah i'm really really liking where beta flight's
