[10.48] Andy: Oh no, it just got worse. Final guide. [17.36] Andy: There's like a buffer of awesome book trying to get on this podcast. [21.36] Andy: Maybe if we just crash it every 20 minutes. [24.24] Andy: Now, this is the only podcast where the guests have to participate in the running of... [30.8] Jack: Yeah, I know. He's used to it. No, he was there at the beginning. [34.64] Bardwell: You know the thing people do where they do a bar hop, [36.8] Bardwell: where you go from one bar to the next drinking at each one? [39.04] Bardwell: This is exactly what that is. It's a bar podcast. [43.68] Chad N: You know where that goes. That ends up everyone gets drunk and starts sleeping with one another. [48.08] Chad N: And I'm not sure if we want to... I don't know if we know everyone that good enough just yet. [52.72] Chad N: I don't know. Do you actually stop making a video of your vlogs dancing? [56.72] Chad N: He's got his camera off. [58.72] Chad N: We've all got exactly 15 minutes before we start need to randomly remove pieces of clothing. [65.12] Chad N: This is how it's going to end. I'm not the boss of this. This is just how it works. [68.96] Chad N: Was that how I was really going to do it? [70.96] Jack: I have seen your nipples. [73.92] Chad N: I think so, yes. [75.92] Jack: Message Tony. I know you can't. [78.32] Jack: This is so bad. Please, someone, we can't have no Tony. [82.16] Jack: I'll zap off. I'm so sorry, Kerry Kitten. [86.24] Jack: That's okay. [87.12] Jack: It's really nice to see you. [88.56] Andy: I think it isn't Lee, it isn't Lee here. [91.44] Andy: Yeah, I'm going to do one. [94.48] Lee: Because I only have half an hour anyway, dude. [96.56] Lee: So let me say best wishes for Christmas and New Year. [99.92] Lee: And I'll probably speak to you at some point late in the week anyway, buddy. [103.52] Lee: Tony's on and he's on his work account. [106.08] Jack: He's here. [106.88] Chad N: I mean, let's be real here. [109.12] Chad N: I mean, I think, like, what's Painless 360 done for us in the last year or two? [114.8] Chad N: So, I mean, he doesn't really deserve to be here. [120.96] Bardwell: He's a very good friend. [122.16] Bardwell: What we should do is to make... [124.24] Bardwell: You're saying it's nepotism. You're saying it's nepotism, right? [127.44] Andy: To make everyone feel better, we should make a list of whose importance enough to be on. [132.24] Chad N: Here, maybe? Should we do... [134.56] Chad N: Yeah, whoever's making the list is going to put them ourself at the top by the bottom. [140.32] Chad N: That would be me. [142.96] Andy: Is that a picture of the back of Tony's van there? [149.6] Andy: Tony, have you had to reset all of your accounts because of this? [154.08] Andy: Yes, everything. [155.76] Andy: My Facebook, my Google, it's all gone. [158.72] Andy: Well, just so you know, your Google image is the picture of the back of your van. [163.2] Andy: I know. [166.48] Andy: He does that, so... [169.2] Jack: It's not a serial killer van, and he's not a sex pest. [173.28] Andy: In the back of a van, which is pretty good for a blazing hygienist. [181.04] Chad N: I just want to say that it's good to be finally back on this podcast, [185.04] Chad N: and it's good to see things haven't changed. [187.12] Jack: It really hurts that you do your own show. [193.76] Jack: We're desperately like... [195.36] Andy: You're only getting far more important than me, surely. [200.96] Jack: I don't know. [201.6] Jack: Yeah, I mean... [202.08] Andy: I'm painless. [202.72] Chad N: Well, I thought it was funny. [204.4] Chad N: It was like, hey, dude, do you want to come on the podcast? [206.8] Chad N: I'm like, yeah, sure, sounds good. [208.32] Chad N: And they're going, please make sure you come on the podcast. [212.24] Chad N: Don't forget. [214.08] Chad N: Make sure you come on the podcast. [215.28] Chad N: So I wake up at like 5 a.m., so that I can come on this freaking podcast. [220.8] Chad N: And the first thing I get is, sorry, the video call is full. [226.48] Jack: It is let's throw now. [227.68] Jack: I'd like to point that out. [229.76] Jack: You had a free t-shirt where the logo was printed wrong. [235.04] Jack: Bit more... [237.76] Andy: I think it was more surprised that it was full than anything else. [241.44] Andy: I was just pleased that Jack let me know two weeks in advance as opposed to doing [252.88] Bardwell: what he usually does, which is call me in the middle of a work day and say, [255.84] Bardwell: hey, bro, can you come on the podcast? [257.76] Bardwell: I'm like, with 30 seconds notice? [260.24] Bardwell: No, I'm sorry. [262.8] Jack: None of it's spelt right. [263.92] Jack: And it's crudely written in childish hieroglyphics. [270.8] Jack: I'm so sorry. [273.44] Chad N: Tony says, would you like to come on the show and gives you a link to a different podcast? [278.08] Andy: I know. [280.8] Andy: Classic podcast though, Chad. [285.52] Jack: Tommy thought he was going on VK, like FPV life, because of him. [293.12] Jack: Started giving like, what's his name? [296.48] Jack: Hassel? [297.2] Jack: Like Lance Hassel? [298.8] Jack: He's just like, goddamn, I hate those letters thrown out. [302.24] Jack: Literally, they're just like, he must think that we just do it on purpose. [307.76] Andy: You know, this is a realist podcast. [309.44] Jack: A realist podcast. [310.56] Jack: Idiots. [311.52] Jack: That's just another woman. [313.2] Andy: That's just a realist podcast. [315.28] Andy: There is. [318.96] Chad N: Guys, I've got that. [320.48] Chad N: There's one thing I've got to say. [322.56] Chad N: There's quite a few of us here who have been in this hobby slash industry now for quite a while. [327.68] Chad N: And people ask me, they go, what are the things that you've achieved? [332.88] Chad N: What are you most proud of me? [337.2] Chad N: And there's two, actually three things. [340.56] Chad N: Yeah. [340.88] Chad N: Three things that I'm most proud of, of everything that I've achieved. [344.4] Chad N: Number one. [345.12] Jack: Is one of them telling Jarrod **** off? [353.04] Andy: I think, I think, Jack, one of them was going to be [355.52] Andy: this podcast today until you just said that. [358.0] Andy: I just wanted to make him laugh. [360.96] Jack: I just wanted to look on his face like, I can't believe he just said that. [365.28] Jack: It was like the look of, of Schizo when I turned and said to Preston, I was like, [371.68] Jack: so you didn't nick that code then. [373.28] Jack: And he was like, why did I let this happen? [377.92] Jack: Look at him trying to wipe the sleep of his eyes. [380.0] Jack: He's literally waiting for the ground to open it and swallow him up. [383.68] Andy: Can I just say, Jack's on a lot of drugs, like medical ones. [387.44] Andy: Yeah. [387.6] Chad N: I'm on like... [388.48] Chad N: We're noticing. [389.2] Chad N: Yeah, I'm sorry. [390.0] Chad N: I'm sorry. [390.32] Chad N: I'm just like, rudely, rudely, rudely interrupted me. [393.44] Chad N: Yeah. [393.68] Chad N: Sorry. [394.0] Chad N: Carry on. [394.56] Chad N: I'm very proud of you. [396.72] Jack: I'll shut the hell up. [397.76] Jack: Sorry. [398.08] Jack: I'm muting myself. [399.52] Chad N: The things, the things that I'm most proud of, this, this, this shows how twisted I am. [403.92] Chad N: That number one, I've convinced half of the community that Carlos is from Mexico. [409.44] Chad N: Um, number two, that, uh, Luke Bannister was only 12 years old [416.64] Chad N: and managed to convince the mainstream media when he won Dubai. [420.32] Chad N: Oh yeah. [422.24] Andy: That's good. [423.44] Chad N: And number three, I, I managed to make, um, I managed to make Joshua Budwell [428.64] Chad N: lose his with all the emails he was getting from battery shaking test questions. [436.64] Bardwell: Oh, I'm so angry. [439.28] Bardwell: Oh, people. [441.12] Bardwell: So many people were emailing me like, is this for real? [443.92] Bardwell: Is this legit? [444.64] Bardwell: And I'm like, they're, they're, they're jerking off their batteries on April fool's [448.4] Bardwell: day. [448.72] Bardwell: Are you an idiot? [452.4] Bardwell: I didn't say that [456.72] Bardwell: because they trust you and they believe you. [459.04] Bardwell: And you abused that just to get one of the non-smart battery mods, you know? [466.32] Jack: Like, oh my God. [467.84] Bardwell: No, it's not real. [469.44] Bardwell: No, it's not real. [470.88] Bardwell: Joshua, Joshua, Budwell, we'll let you know. [473.92] Bardwell: He's going to come up with that. [474.96] Bardwell: Like I got so many emails. [477.12] Bardwell: It really was so the first 100. [479.92] Bardwell: I was like, ha ha. [481.28] Bardwell: And then the second one, I wanted to kill you. [485.28] Jack: I would have made a wall of shame on my website and like listed that their names [490.08] Jack: and their emails, you know, and I have to say between one, they're not idiots. [496.8] Bardwell: I only say that because, you know, we're having fun, but they're not idiots. [499.92] Bardwell: They're just people who trust Chad, Chad, no, I can, they should know better, [505.04] Bardwell: but they don't. [505.68] Bardwell: I haven't learned yet. [506.72] Jack: He's essentially an Asbo convict from Australia. [510.96] Jack: Like, what do they expect? [512.72] Chad N: All these people that are, that are awesome at cricket and, um, and pretty much everything [518.24] Andy: that the English are not. [524.8] Jack: You know, I think the wrong Chad's, I think it was no work. [530.72] Chad N: Everyone wanted the ashes just finished recently. [534.8] Chad N: Didn't it? [535.2] Chad N: Or is it still going or I mean, I don't know. [538.24] Chad N: No, no one here bothers to watch it. [539.84] Jack: Cause it's just, I know. [542.48] Chad N: Exactly. [543.36] Chad N: We just might be able to keep those criminals doing something. [548.16] Chad N: It's just like hitting things with bats. [550.96] Chad N: That is a great thing. [551.84] Chad N: You guys came up with that game. [553.36] Chad N: You guys came up with a game that takes, you came up with a game that takes five days [558.8] Chad N: to complete and it's still a distinct possibility that you might come to a draw. [564.32] Jack: Do you know who loves cricket the most? [565.84] Jack: India. [566.32] Jack: Oh, that's true. [568.88] Jack: And the other thing I find really weird is Canada invented basketball and pizza. [573.44] Jack: I just like to point that out. [574.88] Miss Creature: We suck at basketball. [578.0] Jack: Yeah. [578.4] Jack: That's one thing that Mary Bird definitely kicks your arse at. [582.32] Bardwell: And not shoot. [583.52] Bardwell: Can I get Josh to do another shot of his whiskey, please? [586.24] Bardwell: I'm working on it. [587.2] Bardwell: You remember how full this glass was? [589.36] Bardwell: Oh my God. [590.0] Andy: Yeah. [591.12] Bardwell: Top it up, man. [591.84] Jack: It's looking a bit watery. [592.88] Jack: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. [594.08] Jack: Oh my God. [595.36] Jack: Skits those left skits. [596.64] Jack: So he's like gone to get some of that. [598.0] Jack: Something he's like he's going to get some drink. [601.68] Jack: Is he going to start getting drunk as well? [603.28] Jack: Skits? [603.68] Jack: What did you get, man? [604.48] Jack: Did you get food? [605.12] Andy: There's no swearing stream. [606.48] Andy: No, but the more that you swear, just the more the editor has to edit out for the actual [612.0] Andy: part. [612.08] Andy: Me. [613.28] Bardwell: So you say by swearing, I'm making work for Jack. [616.08] Chad N: Yeah. [616.4] Chad N: I just, I just make sure that I keep things alive for him because I know writing now. [622.64] Bardwell: I thought we were cutting loose. [624.0] Bardwell: I thought it was, you know, [627.84] Jack: Josh, can I have a request? [629.44] Jack: Can I add a little intro for the show? [631.44] Jack: Can you be like, hi, I'm Joshua Bardwell and you're listening to Let's Grown Out [635.28] Jack: and you're going to learn. [639.92] Bardwell: Please. [640.56] Andy: I'm Joshua Bardwell and let's present him first. [643.84] Bardwell: Do you want to present me? [646.16] Bardwell: Frank will do it. [647.04] Bardwell: There you go. [647.6] Bardwell: Okay. [647.84] Bardwell: There you go. [648.32] Bardwell: I'm Joshua Bardwell. [649.36] Bardwell: And when I don't want to learn a damn thing, I listen to Let's Grown Out. [654.56] Andy: Brilliant. [655.2] Andy: Love it. [656.72] Bardwell: That is smoke blowing on some of the piranhas or something. [659.76] Andy: Yeah. [660.4] Andy: That's a watch right. [663.28] Chad N: You guys have probably already done all the introductions here, [666.24] Chad N: but I'm finally going through all of these pictures here. [672.08] Chad N: And of course, you got, yeah, you got schizo there. [674.0] Chad N: Schizo is being awfully quiet. [675.92] Chad N: How are you doing, my man? [677.52] Chad N: What up? [678.08] Chad N: Are you getting ready for your Christmas break, dude? [682.16] Andy: Yeah, I'm already on it. [684.32] Andy: Damn. [687.2] Andy: Your boss is the best. [688.72] Andy: Congratulations on the new frame. [690.4] Andy: I meant to say that. [691.2] Andy: Congratulations on the new frame. [692.48] Andy: And Joshua, congratulations on the flight controller. [694.96] Andy: I heard about that. [695.92] Andy: I just thank you. [697.28] Bardwell: I want to know, I know that there are very few people in this industry whose opinion [703.68] Bardwell: I actually respect and Final Glide is one of them. [706.72] Bardwell: I want to know Final Glide's honest opinion of my new flight controller [711.52] Bardwell: because I need to take it down a peg. [716.96] Chad N: Well, if you want, what you can do is send me out a flight controller. [722.16] Chad N: And what I will do, especially for you, is I can give you a flight controller review [729.12] Chad N: a la Timecop. [732.37] Chad N: Do you guys remember? [733.25] Bardwell: What does that mean? [734.45] Chad N: Do you remember when Timecop did the NASA flight controller review? [738.53] Jack: Were they like red and X1 and stuff? [742.21] Chad N: Like, you know, didn't have any U-lots. [745.97] Chad N: Yeah. [747.65] Chad N: For those who don't know, Timecop, wait, raise hands if you guys know who Timecop is. [753.01] Chad N: Come on. [754.69] Chad N: Yeah. [755.65] Chad N: Okay, there's enough guys out there. [758.69] Chad N: Timecop was a guy that he didn't have a very strong opinion on very many things. [765.33] Chad N: Yeah, he was a very shy guy. [766.77] Chad N: He didn't like to say things. [768.61] Chad N: And he really respected and enjoyed using DJI products. [774.53] Chad N: So he took it upon himself to give a review of a DJI flight, a NASA flight controller [782.21] Chad N: with a 10 pound hammer. [784.53] Chad N: And that was his review. [788.05] Chad N: You're saying he'll do me the same favor. [790.45] Chad N: Oh, definitely. [791.17] Chad N: Definitely. [792.45] Chad N: But I can't take you down a peg because I haven't actually seen your flight controller [798.93] Chad N: in person. [799.57] Chad N: But yeah, it's pretty much just forward my name on it. [803.89] Chad N: Don't worry about it. [804.93] Chad N: Yeah, that's what makes it cool. [807.01] Chad N: Because every time I pick it up, I feel like I've learned something. [811.73] Chad N: Just get on with it. [813.89] Andy: I love the layout. [815.97] Andy: To be fair, the layout is nice. [818.61] Andy: Yeah, I wanted to do that about 10 years ago. [821.97] Chad N: Yeah, yeah, exactly. [823.49] Chad N: But wait, going down the list, I see that there is a strange Swedish chap in the dark there. [832.77] Chad N: Oh, okay. [834.77] Chad N: And yeah. [836.21] Chad N: He hasn't discovered light yet or fire. [839.65] Chad N: No, he's definitely just going to fire. [843.09] Chad N: He actually reminds me now, like he's all of a sudden gone back into the Rota DR1. [850.37] Chad N: He's going to sit there and shoot drones out for the sky now. [853.81] Chad N: So stuff. [855.17] Jack: He looks more Canadian than the Canuck. [857.33] Jack: Canadian, eh? [861.33] Chad N: This is the first time I've actually been able to video chat you, David, since you started out. [866.93] Chad N: Dude, the rocket knife slash blade slash punch. [875.25] Chad N: I love that. [875.97] Chad N: I've watched everything about five times each. [879.57] Chad N: I just love it. [880.29] Chad N: And like I've said before, I want to see a montage where the entire montage is just you [887.25] Chad N: picking up the rocket when it's still hot, burning yourself and squealing and dropping it again. [892.21] Chad N: Because every time you don't learn, it's just like he picks. [895.57] Chad N: Like, dude, I just saw that last week. [898.53] Jack: Am I allowed to say I'm like a retarded child? [902.85] Jack: No, why, you know, you know, the MacBook punch, you know, the joke you admit. [908.77] Jack: Yeah. [909.01] Jack: Was it for monetary reasons or did someone send you a really strong email? [913.49] Windestål: No, that was monetary and, uh, no, not really. [919.81] Windestål: I didn't care about that. [921.01] Windestål: Uh, dark humor is not for everyone. [926.29] Windestål: It's like food. [928.37] Windestål: Some people don't get it. [929.97] Jack: Oh, look, he's got a puppy. [933.41] Jack: Sorry. [933.89] Windestål: Oh, I got a puppy. [935.41] Windestål: And I'm on the screen. [936.21] Jack: David, that's an old man. [938.37] Chad N: Oh, I've also decided that, um, I'm not going to go to Sweden anytime soon, because if I get there, [946.77] Chad N: then David's going to convince me to do, um, rocket slap. [952.29] Windestål: I still watch that clip, by the way. [954.37] Windestål: I have a, I know. [956.37] Jack: Have you jerked off to it? [957.81] Windestål: That's what I want to know. [965.33] Chad N: People still give me about that video, David. [968.37] Chad N: Really? [968.77] Chad N: Why? [969.33] Chad N: Yeah, they just go every time I, every time you say something I don't like, they say, [975.41] Chad N: I've got that on cold, just so I can watch that over and over again. [978.61] Chad N: And it just makes me feel better about myself. [980.61] Chad N: That's what people say. [983.97] Windestål: Yeah. [984.13] Windestål: For people that don't know, I have a clip of me slapping, uh, Chad in the face in slow motion, [992.61] Windestål: a thousand frames a second. [994.37] Windestål: And it's pretty good. [996.05] Chad N: Yeah. [996.29] Chad N: It's not just a normal slap. [997.73] Chad N: My ears were ringing for five minutes. [999.73] Windestål: It was a critical hit for sure. [1002.45] Chad N: It was good. [1004.37] Windestål: Like my hand hurt. [1007.41] Windestål: You jerk. [1012.93] Chad N: The s*** you do on a snowy day in Chad Kapper's house when your s*** was, [1016.93] Chad N: hey, can I slap you? [1017.97] Chad N: Yeah, sure. [1019.41] Chad N: At some point in time, I went, that was a good choice to do. [1022.69] Chad N: I'm going to say yes to that. [1023.97] Chad N: Life decisions, learn kids. [1026.61] Jack: Scottie FPV in the chat has put rocket. [1029.41] Jack: I just wanted to say that out loud. [1035.17] Chad N: Okay, guys, as presenters, you need to give all of the guests here and you've got lots of guests [1039.65] Chad N: here. [1039.81] Chad N: You need to give them a hard and thought provoking answer about the FPV industry, [1046.61] Chad N: because that's why we're all here and go. [1050.37] Jack: We don't care, but we just talk about, you know, [1053.01] Bardwell: who is the biggest sellout. [1055.49] Jack: He's like, he's like remade the alien. [1059.65] Jack: It's just an alien that's slightly shorter. [1064.37] Chad N: All I've actually done, this thing, I've just added bits of black cardboard to the [1068.29] Chad N: edges to make the shape look different. [1069.81] Chad N: It's actually the same kid. [1071.41] Jack: I know, and then he's going to drill weird holes in the middle of, God, [1075.57] Jack: OSD board and then like write his name on it instead. [1079.09] Chad N: Well, I also noticed too, I'm actually, I did fib a little bit. [1086.45] Chad N: I do have one of Joshua's boards coming because someone told me that Joshua was [1092.93] Chad N: bored is actually just a schizo board painted a different color. [1099.57] Chad N: If you scratch the paint away, you'll see the schizo logo underneath it. [1103.33] Jack: No, you remove. [1104.13] Jack: No, you got to remove the chip to see the schizo. [1106.77] Jack: It's true, isn't it? [1110.13] Andy: Yep. [1112.69] Andy: I don't know if that's true. [1116.13] Chad N: I've seen it. [1119.33] Chad N: And the schizo board is actually just a Joshua Badwell board. [1122.13] Jack: I actually, I actually asked Preston for a schizo board. [1125.41] Jack: I was like, I had graders here. [1127.57] Jack: He was like, you got to try race light. [1129.65] Jack: And so I asked for one and he said, yes. [1133.49] Jack: So hasn't got back to me. [1135.97] Bardwell: Has anyone seen the videos of someone who put the common filters from race [1141.25] Bardwell: flight into beta flight? [1143.65] Jack: No, someone has no idea what those filters are for a start. [1147.73] Bardwell: Well, common filters are supposedly part of what makes race flight so magical. [1152.85] Bardwell: They're the pixie dust or at least part of it. [1154.93] Bardwell: And since RS2K released the source, someone took the common filter code [1160.37] Bardwell: out of race flight and put it in beta flight and then posted some videos of them flying around. [1163.81] Bardwell: It looks freaking amazing. [1166.61] Chad N: Wait, if you want to try, if you want to try that at home kids, it's four. [1171.49] Chad N: I just sort of another thing that I'm actually very proud of. [1175.09] Bardwell: And it's four. [1176.37] Chad N: Yeah. [1176.61] Chad N: So do you guys, do you guys remember back in like say 2015, 2014? [1181.73] Chad N: So the normal thing that what you would do is you'd post a video and then you'd get your CLI dump, [1187.41] Chad N: your entire CLI dump and post it in the description. [1190.29] Chad N: So that way everyone would know what your secret to [1193.97] Chad N: the awesome video that you posted. [1195.57] Chad N: And that was going to make everything good. [1197.01] Chad N: So I got sick and tired after a while, people asking for asking for asking for my PIDS. [1205.09] Chad N: So my answer just became default four. [1207.97] Chad N: If anyone asked me a number question, it was always four. [1211.81] Chad N: And then in one of my videos, I put in the description, it took me about 20 minutes. [1217.25] Chad N: I changed every single command line interface line to four. [1224.69] Chad N: And then I had people starting getting mad at me because now they could [1229.57] Chad N: give like controls wouldn't work. [1233.01] Jack: It was so bad. [1234.05] Jack: He was like actually damaging people's quads. [1236.77] Jack: It was so bad. [1237.97] Jack: It was like, I remember that because he told me shortly after. [1244.85] Jack: How are you still popular? [1246.21] Jack: Like, why doesn't everyone hate you? [1248.29] Jack: You're such a knob. [1250.05] Jack: You're such a likeable knob. [1251.65] Jack: Like, I get people email me every day about how much I am. [1260.05] Jack: Like, I know I'm here with like one joke about August. [1266.21] Jack: Oh, no, not this again. [1267.57] Andy: Happy Christmas, everyone. [1269.89] Andy: Happy Christmas, Emma. [1271.65] Andy: Boom. [1272.21] Bardwell: Christmas is fundamentally about wanting to kill yourself and not doing it. [1275.65] Bardwell: Isn't it? [1276.13] Andy: Christmas stamp yourself in the head. [1279.25] Chad N: I love actually Christmas. [1282.13] Chad N: Christmas is about enjoying the company and liking those people that you normally hate. [1288.29] Chad N: That's why that's why Chad's come on here today. [1292.53] Andy: Merry Christmas, guys. [1296.53] Chad N: Joe. [1298.93] Chad N: Skits so that darling girlfriend of yours in the background, [1301.57] Chad N: you got to hug her because someone thinks that she'd rage quit of the game just then. [1305.17] Andy: She does not play games on that thing. [1306.77] Andy: It's too old. [1309.25] Andy: Can we have a video game? [1314.05] Jack: Yeah. [1317.49] Jack: Oscar, what is the sexiest thing about Jonathan Davis? [1321.17] Andy: Oh, don't say that. [1328.69] Jack: If you had to choose, would you have chug no work? [1332.69] Jack: Nike. [1333.17] Andy: That's my sexiest quality. [1342.45] Jack: Is it the cord flying? [1343.81] Jack: Or is it an attribution? [1347.89] Bardwell: Is he as smooth in the bedroom as he is on the sticks? [1353.01] Bardwell: She said my eyeballs. [1356.85] Andy: That's her answer to that question. [1358.05] Andy: Just listen to it. [1361.17] Andy: Just say it again, man. [1362.61] Bardwell: I said, is he as smooth in the bedroom as he is on the sticks? [1365.81] Bardwell: I couldn't bring that. [1369.25] Jack: I couldn't do it. [1371.25] Jack: Stick the headphones on there and let him say that. [1373.49] Jack: Please, for the love of Christ. [1378.13] Chad N: If we're comparing the skits style into the bedroom, [1380.85] Chad N: it's smooth with the occasional twitchiness where you just flip around very quickly. [1387.81] Bardwell: It's as opposed to the Chad Nowak style where you just go full throttle for about 40 seconds [1392.29] Bardwell: and then... [1392.69] Jack: Yeah, exactly. [1395.89] Jack: You've got to remember, he does a bit of fluffing first. [1399.65] Chad N: I may only be small, but I can last a long time, at least 40 seconds. [1407.09] Windestål: I can't believe you're sitting there naked. [1411.33] Windestål: You having a hard time concentrating? [1413.57] Windestål: I am. [1416.29] Chad N: I love you David. [1418.21] Jack: Even though you're probably going to get me arrested one day for being friends with you. [1422.29] Chad N: You're getting a little bit hot and sweaty there, David. [1424.85] Chad N: You have a wife, you know that. [1426.53] Bardwell: You have a wife, but yeah. [1432.69] Bardwell: There we go. [1433.81] Bardwell: It's one hour. [1434.93] Andy: One hour. [1436.85] Andy: I killed it. [1438.45] Andy: Next one, Josh. [1439.65] Bardwell: Next one, Josh. [1442.69] Bardwell: One's just the right amount. [1445.09] Chad N: Joshua, dumb question. [1447.09] Chad N: Whereabouts in the US do you live? [1450.53] Chad N: Before you answer that, just know that I don't know where any of the states are in America still. [1456.37] Bardwell: That's southeast, near the Appalachian Mountains. [1459.41] Jack: You can type in our private picture if you want to tell him, tell him. [1464.77] Jack: Or give him a G-O. [1468.61] Jack: We need a longitude and latitude, sir. [1471.49] Bardwell: My address is... [1472.37] Bardwell: People always warn me. [1473.97] Bardwell: They're like, oh hey, your address was in your video. [1475.81] Bardwell: And I'm like, I don't really hide my address. [1478.85] Bardwell: I don't, you know, I don't really... [1481.17] Chad N: They're like, show up and you'll see what happens. [1490.21] Jack: I actively try and hide my address and people still send me **** like this. [1495.25] Andy: I mean like... [1500.37] Jack: Yeah, it's like a **** deadly, like you click it. [1503.25] Jack: Hang on. [1504.77] Jack: Hang on. [1505.25] Jack: Yeah, I know. [1505.73] Andy: It's Christmassy. [1508.29] Andy: See, that's brilliant. [1509.33] Jack: That's a stocking filler. [1515.65] Andy: That's a stocking filler forever, I saw one. [1517.81] Jack: You know what I mean? [1518.37] Jack: Like, I might want to like, you know, frame or something or, you know, from Final Glide, [1523.65] Jack: you know, and I get that, you know what I mean? [1525.41] Jack: I get stuck with Tony. [1527.25] Chad N: What are you talking about? [1527.89] Chad N: That is my frame. [1532.37] Andy: Christmas ball bag edition. [1534.05] Andy: Hey, hey, hey, Capra. [1535.65] Andy: Is that a Futaba radio in the lower right hand corner of your screen? [1539.09] Andy: There's a lot of radios. [1540.37] Andy: Or lower right hand corner of the list. [1542.69] Andy: Yeah. [1543.17] Andy: Yes, that is as well. [1545.09] Andy: Yeah. [1545.81] Andy: David has used this one many times, I think. [1548.53] Andy: Is that the 14? [1549.41] Andy: Yeah. [1549.65] Andy: It's a beautiful radio. [1550.61] Andy: I love that one. [1551.41] Andy: This is my old school long range. [1556.05] Andy: I've flown two miles with that. [1557.97] Andy: Is that 72? [1559.89] Andy: Yep. [1561.09] Andy: So I thought 72 right here. [1563.57] Andy: That's right. [1564.61] Andy: Think about this way. [1567.33] Andy: Be sure no one touches that while you're flying. [1572.13] Chad N: Here in Australia, we didn't have 72 megahertz. [1575.97] Chad N: So we actually had... [1577.65] Chad N: That's like 49 megahertz, isn't it? [1579.97] Chad N: We had 36 here in Australia. [1583.25] Chad N: The antenna is so long. [1586.69] Windestål: Yeah, it's the pooping fish look. [1589.49] Windestål: It's awesome on the plane. [1590.93] Andy: Who can answer the question? [1593.97] Andy: Which is the fastest protocol? [1596.29] Andy: Fly Sky, Fry Sky, or... [1598.93] Andy: I would think, David, you would have some input on that. [1600.77] Andy: I love how you didn't answer the final one. [1604.53] Andy: I'm going to vote olive oil. [1606.13] Andy: Futaba was my last one. [1609.73] Andy: If you buy a standard radio, what one is the fastest? [1614.21] Bardwell: Spectrum. [1614.93] Bardwell: You have to clarify what you mean by fastest. [1617.17] Bardwell: You mean the smallest frame time? [1620.21] Bardwell: Or do you mean the fastest end-to-end latency? [1623.25] Bardwell: Moving out. [1624.85] Bardwell: Latency. [1626.93] Bardwell: I'm not convinced too many people have studied that, to be honest. [1630.85] Bardwell: That's really hard to study. [1633.17] Bardwell: Lots of examination of the frame time. [1637.65] Chad N: Have we got a spare spot or are they all full? [1642.13] Jack: If you boot Jack up. [1645.09] Jack: You know, you can't. [1645.81] Jack: I'm not. [1646.53] Jack: Oh, there he is. [1647.33] Bardwell: You know what I got? [1648.13] Bardwell: Guys, we're coming up on the hour. [1649.73] Bardwell: I got to drop off anyway. [1651.57] Bardwell: So I'll make room. [1652.69] Bardwell: I was trying to find a good time to sign off. [1654.45] Bardwell: What? [1655.09] Bardwell: Oh, man. [1655.81] Bardwell: Oh, gosh, I barely used to. [1657.89] Bardwell: We don't want to learn anything. [1659.25] Andy: No, I'm not going to answer the question. [1661.17] Andy: Who is the fastest? [1663.57] Bardwell: No one knows the answer. [1664.53] Bardwell: Crossfire. [1665.17] Bardwell: No, Crossfire probably the fastest. [1667.01] Bardwell: Crossfire is the answer for both because it's got 150 hertz [1671.81] Bardwell: and supposedly super duper excellent and latency. [1674.77] Bardwell: So there's your answer. [1675.89] Bardwell: Super duper. [1676.53] Andy: Is that an official answer? [1677.17] Andy: But we've never tested it. [1679.73] Bardwell: Well, I mean, Trappy told me it was true. [1681.49] Bardwell: So what more do you need? [1685.09] Andy: It's really true, then. [1686.05] Andy: What is it supposed to be? [1686.85] Andy: Five millisecond or something? [1689.17] Andy: Yeah, he called me this. [1693.01] Andy: Exactly. [1693.49] Andy: So is the is a crossfire faster than the camera? [1705.41] Bardwell: Because it's a loop, right? [1707.41] Bardwell: The command comes from your stick to the copter, [1709.89] Bardwell: and then the result of the command [1711.57] Bardwell: comes from the camera back to your eye. [1714.13] Bardwell: So if it's faster or slower than the camera, [1716.93] Bardwell: it doesn't matter because one comes after the other. [1720.53] Bardwell: You can reduce the control latency to zero, [1722.37] Bardwell: and the camera latency would still be there. [1724.85] Andy: Okay, what's faster? [1725.89] Andy: The human, the transmitter, or the camera? [1730.45] Chad N: Depends on the human and how much alcohol I've had to drink. [1732.85] Chad N: So George, I would say the RC link is faster than the camera. [1740.21] Andy: Yeah, for sure. [1740.85] Andy: Than the human? [1741.65] Bardwell: Trying to go down to, yeah, like comparing. [1744.21] Bardwell: But people take that. [1745.17] Bardwell: People take that to me. [1746.13] Bardwell: I mean, a typical human reaction time, [1748.05] Bardwell: so you're a gamer, what's a typical, [1749.65] Bardwell: like a really, really fast human reaction time milliseconds? [1753.49] Bardwell: Not under five. [1755.49] Bardwell: Not under five. [1756.45] Bardwell: I'd say, you know, a quarter to a fifth of a second [1759.01] Bardwell: is what I've heard. [1760.37] Bardwell: So maybe it's, you know, hundreds of milliseconds, [1763.49] Bardwell: a hundred millisecond response time, maybe. [1765.81] Bardwell: Whereas this stuff, this stuff is, [1767.41] Bardwell: and most of us are nowhere near that fast, [1769.25] Bardwell: especially if we've had a few drinks, [1770.69] Bardwell: which we would never do before we fly off-com. [1773.25] Bardwell: Never. [1774.05] Bardwell: But the latency of the control link and the camera [1776.53] Bardwell: is in the order of tens of milliseconds, [1778.61] Bardwell: and people take that to mean that, [1779.89] Bardwell: oh, well, so it can't possibly matter. [1781.73] Bardwell: But I don't believe that because I definitely [1784.29] Bardwell: noticed a difference when I went from PPM to S bus, [1787.25] Bardwell: and that was only a 20 or 30 millisecond improvement, [1790.13] Bardwell: but you could certainly, though. [1792.21] Chad N: It was a lot more than that, though, Joshua. [1794.93] Chad N: That's what a lot of people forget. [1796.93] Chad N: It's about 90 milliseconds, which is massive. [1801.25] Windestål: A lot. [1802.21] Windestål: But like you say, Joshua, it's a loop. [1805.09] Windestål: So the faster you get the information, [1807.89] Windestål: the faster you can make the choice, [1810.21] Windestål: otherwise you don't have a choice to make. [1813.25] Windestål: So that's kind of it. [1814.77] Bardwell: Yep. [1816.69] Bardwell: I'm tired of the argument that people said, [1818.85] Bardwell: oh, one shot can't possibly make a difference [1821.41] Bardwell: because the motors can only update so fast. [1823.49] Bardwell: It makes a difference. [1824.45] Bardwell: And they said the same thing about multi-shot, [1826.21] Bardwell: and it makes a difference. [1827.49] Bardwell: And there may be a threshold where [1829.41] Bardwell: it doesn't make a difference anymore, [1830.85] Bardwell: but I want experience. [1832.37] Bardwell: I'm tired of the hypothetical mathematical argument [1835.25] Bardwell: that it can't possibly make a difference [1837.09] Bardwell: because I've seen that get blown away too many times. [1841.57] Bardwell: Who's feeling crossfire? [1843.25] Bardwell: Who's feeling crossfire? [1844.21] Bardwell: Does it make a difference? [1845.89] Bardwell: Is it like, whoa! [1846.69] Andy: I didn't really notice a difference [1848.05] Andy: between like crossfire and Spectre, for example. [1850.69] Andy: Or I think that once you get under a certain latency, [1854.93] Andy: you're just not, it's just not, you just can't, [1857.81] Andy: the brain can't register it. [1860.37] Andy: Now going from standard S bus protocol to crossfire, [1865.17] Andy: you might notice some difference, obviously. [1867.49] Andy: Or you will. [1869.41] Andy: But once you get so low, [1871.25] Andy: is the human brain going to register the difference [1874.29] Andy: between 10 millisecond and 5 millisecond? [1877.41] Andy: I don't think so. [1878.45] Andy: That is the question. [1879.41] Chad N: It's getting us to less and less returns because... [1884.37] Chad N: Right, it's a diminishing return. [1889.02] Andy: I definitely felt the difference [1890.22] Andy: between crossfire and going back to S bus. [1892.86] Andy: Yes. [1893.5] Andy: You're going to notice more of a difference [1895.02] Andy: if you go backwards, obviously, as well. [1897.02] Andy: Yeah, I crashed a lot going backwards. [1899.98] Bardwell: Really? [1900.38] Andy: Crossfire and then went backwards to S bus and crashed a lot. [1903.74] Bardwell: Yeah. [1904.22] Bardwell: Well, that's too bad. [1905.1] Bardwell: Means that if you have S bus, [1906.7] Bardwell: you shouldn't put one crossfire radio on your quad [1909.74] Bardwell: because then you'll crash on your other ones. [1911.42] Andy: I need to spend 44 pounds times 19 now. [1915.58] Bardwell: That's my number one reason for not wanting to try crossfire. [1919.02] Bardwell: It's 45, 40, 45 bucks per receiver. [1922.62] Bardwell: I got a lot of quads back there. [1924.7] Chad N: Well, the thing too is, [1927.02] Chad N: Trappie has spoken to some of the other manufacturers [1931.98] Chad N: about making the protocol open. [1938.38] Chad N: If that's your only reason for going over, [1940.46] Chad N: then give it a little bit of time [1942.22] Chad N: and a lot of these radio manufacturers [1944.06] Chad N: will probably have that protocol going into them. [1947.82] Chad N: That'd be nice. [1949.26] Jack: Has anyone tried the new... [1951.58] Jack: Sorry, Chad. [1952.54] Jack: Has anyone tried the new prototype? [1955.66] Jack: What's it called? [1956.46] Jack: Hang on. [1957.18] Jack: It's on Oscar Lang's website. [1960.22] Jack: You're talking about the Freescape protocol. [1962.14] Jack: Yeah, the new Freescape protocol. [1963.74] Jack: Cool. [1965.42] Bardwell: Nearest I can tell, all that is [1967.1] Bardwell: is putting SmartPort and S bus on a single wire. [1970.06] Bardwell: Nearest I can tell, correct me if I'm wrong, [1972.14] Bardwell: it doesn't actually make any improvements to the protocol, [1974.38] Bardwell: like increasing the sampling rate or decreasing the freight time. [1978.38] Jack: Yeah, I'll put a link to it, man, if you want. [1982.62] Andy: To be honest, the only thing that excited me about crossfire [1985.58] Andy: was the fact that it's an actively worked-on protocol. [1989.5] Andy: Everyone, like Futaba and Spectrum, [1990.94] Andy: are just like, this is our protocol, [1992.22] Andy: this is it, it's good enough. [1994.54] Andy: I think there's a lot of room for improvement [1996.54] Andy: in the protocol space, [1997.58] Andy: and that's what excited me about crossfire, [2000.54] Andy: was kind of testing, pushing the lights. [2004.78] Chad N: It's got brand new ones and zeros in it. [2007.02] Andy: Yeah, exactly. [2008.86] Andy: Fresh. [2011.02] Jack: Fresh me. [2012.54] Jack: I need to go, because David said his camera shut down, [2017.42] Jack: I can drop out instead of Josh. [2018.86] Bardwell: Yeah, I'm afraid so. [2020.3] Bardwell: I got a family thing coming up, [2022.14] Bardwell: but thank you guys for having me. [2025.34] Bardwell: Merry Christmas or whatever it is you celebrate in your... [2029.42] Jack: Will you come back in a new year? [2030.78] Bardwell: You've got to get a new year, you've got to say happy holidays, [2038.62] Andy: that way you don't get people mad. [2041.66] Chad N: Merry Christmas. [2043.02] Bardwell: Do you realize Chad Noah is on here? [2045.82] Bardwell: Happy solstice. [2047.9] Bardwell: Burning of a fox today. [2050.14] Bardwell: Yeah. [2050.62] Miss Creature: Crikey. [2052.06] Miss Creature: Thanks. [2054.06] Bardwell: Right, I see you guys have a great rest of the stream. [2058.54] Andy: I like your Christmas tree on the end of your bed, Jack. [2061.18] Andy: That's very... [2061.82] Jack: Yeah, man, I've put some effort in, like it's cute. [2064.7] Jack: I mean, I threw potential at it, but you know, I tried. [2068.62] Andy: It's bloody brilliant. [2069.34] Jack: Little LED lights. [2072.14] Andy: Is it battery operated? [2074.22] Jack: Yeah, it's battery operated. [2075.1] Andy: Is it running off a lipo? [2076.78] Jack: No, for a change. [2078.7] Jack: I run my house phone off a lipo, which is quite dangerous. [2083.5] Andy: Are you sure? [2084.06] Andy: You're nuts. [2084.7] Jack: I hope my insurance company doesn't hear that. [2089.5] Jack: Contents, insurance, null and void. [2093.02] Jack: I'm annoyed with it, but like, you know. [2096.46] Jack: Chad, what's the new product you're coming out with? [2099.18] Jack: Don't tell us, tell us, but... [2101.9] Andy: Oh, we're not allowed to hear. [2103.42] Andy: Which Chad? [2105.5] Jack: Chad-a-lac? [2107.34] Chad N: Yeah, come on. [2112.54] Andy: Drew, what are we working on? [2114.46] Chad K: Dude, have you guys heard the new Taylor Swift album? [2117.42] Chad K: Wait, you're not. [2118.22] Chad K: You're very quiet. [2119.42] Andy: You and your child are swift, man. [2121.34] Jack: Taylor Swift album? [2122.46] Jack: I know she's hot like, but she's clearly a lizard. [2125.58] Jack: I agree with Tony with that one. [2127.5] Andy: Thank you. [2129.5] Andy: Someone in love. [2130.62] Andy: She's a lizard. [2131.58] Jack: She's definitely a lizard, man. [2133.9] Jack: Like, because have you ever heard of something? [2139.34] Jack: Like, they're Canadian. [2140.38] Jack: They eat loads of everything. [2142.14] Jack: Like, everything that Tony would never eat, like bacon. [2145.9] Jack: But he mentioned, he like walked past Taylor, [2149.66] Jack: and she was like, hey, nice beard. [2151.58] Jack: And he was scared for his life. [2153.26] Jack: Like, a six foot, like, 150 kilo, like, American killing. [2163.02] Jack: And like, was scared from his life from Taylor Swift. [2166.94] Jack: She's literally a robot lizard. [2169.18] Jack: No, because she is a fierce, powerful woman, and weak men. [2172.38] Jack: Fear her. [2173.9] Jack: Did you mean like that? [2174.86] Jack: He is not weak. [2175.98] Jack: There she is. [2177.74] Jack: Yeah, man. [2179.18] Jack: See, photographic evidence from Chad-a-lac. [2182.62] Jack: Like, what more do you want? [2183.58] Jack: He's our fearless leader. [2185.66] Andy: That's a pop culture thing. [2187.58] Andy: That's from V. [2189.34] Andy: It's the original V. [2191.26] Andy: Yeah, see? [2191.9] Andy: I knew somebody would know. [2194.06] Jack: See? [2194.38] Jack: You two are the same people. [2200.78] Jack: Can Curry get an interview for his new job as a writer from... [2206.46] Jack: He can have my job. [2209.18] Andy: Wow. [2209.82] Andy: That's very cool. [2210.54] Andy: Hey, man. [2211.02] Jack: It could be like Freaky Friday. [2212.46] Jack: If we move this to tomorrow, Bob and Sean are facing for the bridge thing [2216.14] Jack: first before I accept any jobs there. [2217.9] Andy: He can't. [2218.94] Andy: He can't. [2219.9] Andy: Oh, yeah, got to get that... [2220.94] Andy: He's negotiating. [2222.78] Andy: Get that bit sorted out first, and we'll talk. [2225.42] Chad N: Yeah, that's your new position, dealing with that. [2231.1] Chad N: Is there anything you can talk about that? [2233.34] Andy: Bridge guy, everyone. [2235.9] Andy: No, I mean, I don't know. [2237.26] Andy: We're waiting for the investigation to be complete. [2240.54] Andy: I actually called them and said, you know, that... [2244.54] Jack: What is there to investigate? [2246.06] Jack: Surely it's just what video? [2248.78] Andy: Yeah, I don't know. [2250.7] Andy: I mean, the thing is the laws are... [2252.46] Andy: You've never been in trouble before, have you? [2254.06] Chad K: It takes a lot of time. [2258.06] Jack: We've got someone from Kanaki stand. [2260.22] Jack: How does the law work? [2262.78] Miss Creature: They usually say, hey, so that sucks that you did that, but... [2270.46] Andy: Hey, buddy. [2273.66] Miss Creature: You're like a little pete-tinae there, bud. [2276.7] Miss Creature: It's like some hockey. [2277.74] Miss Creature: Wait, wait, wait. [2279.34] Windestål: Some pin-bits? [2280.06] Windestål: Well, that's... [2280.7] Windestål: Oh, I want some poutine for that. [2283.82] Jack: I know, same here, man. [2285.58] Jack: Just listening to her talk. [2286.78] Jack: I know she's like from Vancouver. [2290.14] Miss Creature: I'm from the hood in Vancouver. [2291.58] Jack: I know, like, she's got like a French Canadian girls, [2294.46] Jack: like, you know, where they like wiggle their nose and stuff, man. [2297.18] Jack: So cute. [2298.22] Chad N: But whenever I think of Canada, I think of the movie [2305.26] Chad N: Scott Pilgrim versus the World. [2306.94] Chad N: So I think that all Canadian ladies look like Ramona Flowers, [2311.42] Chad N: and all you have to do is fight ex-boyfriends all the time [2315.42] Chad N: when you're there. [2316.3] Chad N: That's my interpretation. [2318.14] Chad N: I'm sure it's very accurate. [2319.26] Miss Creature: That's pretty accurate, yeah. [2320.54] Chad N: Yeah, yeah. [2321.1] Miss Creature: It's very accurate. [2322.54] Miss Creature: We just have like a lot more animals involved. [2325.1] Miss Creature: So there's like moose and bear that fight by our side. [2328.62] Miss Creature: Oh, awesome. [2330.38] Miss Creature: Yeah. [2330.86] Andy: Moose, as far as I can tell, having been to Canada several times, [2334.06] Andy: everyone has a bear story. [2335.82] Andy: So whenever I'm with a Canadian, like, tell me about your bear encounter. [2338.94] Andy: It's always like some close shave. [2340.94] Andy: And I guess every Australian must have a crocodile story [2343.58] Andy: or a kangaroo punching story. [2345.02] Miss Creature: Kangaroo, yeah. [2345.58] Andy: A kangaroo sort of thing. [2347.02] Jack: Did you hear about the Canadian guy who had like the best bear story ever [2352.06] Jack: where he got saved by his little dash hound? [2355.18] Andy: No. [2356.3] Jack: Like chased the bear away. [2358.78] Jack: But eventually, like when he ran to the forest to find his little sausage dog, [2364.62] Jack: a cute name, like, okay. [2367.74] Jack: I won't say the name. [2369.5] Jack: Sausage dog didn't make it. [2370.86] Andy: But I didn't want to hear. [2372.78] Andy: Not the dog name. [2374.06] Jack: The sausage dog man, like, brave man at dash hound. [2377.98] Jack: He was like taking n***. [2379.58] Jack: Like, if anyone listens to like Smodcast, man, [2383.82] Jack: like Kevin Smith like reads out a like Twitter account called ScanBC. [2389.58] Jack: Like BC stands for like British Columbia, I think. [2393.98] Miss Creature: Beautiful British Columbia. [2395.34] Jack: Yeah, man. [2396.54] Jack: So they read like, hang on. [2398.86] Jack: I'll put the thing in the chat. [2399.82] Jack: So like all the criminal activity in. [2404.78] Miss Creature: Oh, yeah. [2405.98] Jack: In like BC like. [2409.26] Jack: So like, hang on update. [2410.38] Jack: Mail has now climbed down off the restaurant. [2413.5] Jack: Isn't proceeding to dance around on the nearby wharf. [2416.86] Jack: Like that's the sort of like level of crime that happens in BC, man. [2421.74] Jack: If you ever want to be safe, like check our works, not there. [2426.62] Jack: Police are responding to reports of a male who's climbed onto the roof of a seafood restaurant. [2431.74] Andy: Are we still in the loop? [2432.94] Andy: Well, we're pouring drinks in the toilet. [2438.86] Andy: Happy Christmas. [2440.06] Andy: Guys, I hate to do it. [2441.82] Chad N: He said I don't think that he's just playing out for the live feed, [2446.46] Chad N: but this is just a standard day in Anthony's life. [2450.78] Chad N: It kind of is. [2451.9] Chad N: It's got very sad these days. [2454.14] Andy: Guys, I'm going to have to get going. [2456.94] Andy: That's it. [2457.42] Andy: Thanks. [2459.74] Andy: Hey, thank you. [2460.7] Andy: It's great seeing everyone. [2462.06] Andy: Cheers, Chad. [2464.38] Andy: Stu, can I ask what you're going to be flying today? [2466.62] Andy: You and Trev. [2468.3] Andy: Is it a toxic threat? [2470.3] Stu: No, it's not too bad. [2471.5] Stu: I do want to test this out. [2473.1] Stu: So I'm going to have to just put a receiver in that before we go. [2475.34] Stu: That was what I was planning to do anyway. [2476.86] Stu: So I think... [2477.34] Andy: Oh, I saw that one. [2478.78] Andy: Some weird... [2479.26] Andy: I've seen this one too. [2480.86] Stu: Yeah. [2481.42] Stu: So I'm pretty excited about that one. [2482.86] Stu: Coming to see how it goes. [2483.82] Stu: I don't know if it's going to go well or not, but it looks so different that I just, [2486.94] Stu: you know, that's what's exciting when it tests out and see what happens. [2490.54] Chad N: I flew that thing, that prototype of that about a year ago. [2494.78] Chad N: The guys came up and actually saw me in person and I got to have a little bit of a fly. [2498.62] Chad N: But mind you, the transmitter was mode two. [2501.66] Chad N: So I was having to fly mode two, which was fun. [2504.14] Andy: Okay. [2504.46] Chad N: I saw you converted. [2507.02] Chad N: What the real way to fly, Chad? [2510.93] Chad N: Yeah, I fly both mode one and mode two. [2512.85] Chad N: I'm just feeling more natural in mode one. [2515.49] Stu: I don't know how you can switch over like that. [2517.25] Stu: That would drive me crazy. [2520.05] Andy: Mode one's just weird. [2521.73] Andy: We've got a UK flyer who flies mode one. [2524.93] Andy: Don't we, Andy? [2526.21] Andy: I do. [2526.77] Andy: I fly because I'm just so old, mode one with it being the number one. [2532.05] Andy: It's all that existed a few years and years ago. [2534.77] Andy: None of this mode two business is trying to make it like a real aircraft, you know? [2539.25] Stu: It shouldn't just be called like, why do they call it mode one? [2543.57] Stu: If it was like the first one around, wouldn't it just be called like a radio then? [2548.29] Andy: I think actually Bruce did a video on like where the different modes came from. [2553.73] Andy: It started off because mode one was kind of similar to how it used to work when it was on buttons. [2561.33] Andy: And then they realized, oh, we don't need this anymore. [2563.81] Andy: So they changed it to be more like a joystick of an aircraft. [2568.05] Andy: One thing you'll find about mode one flies is a lot of them have to be able to fly both. [2573.09] Andy: I'm the same like Chad. [2574.53] Andy: I had to learn how to fly mode two because, you know, it's just sometimes it's not an option [2579.65] Andy: because everything comes in mode two. [2581.97] Chad N: So I don't really like one fires because if they never want to borrow your shit, [2591.17] Chad N: well, in the in Australia, if you learned to fly like model planes in the in the clubs, [2599.89] Chad N: you learn on mode one because that's the predominant mode. [2602.53] Chad N: So it wasn't until well, it started happening when 3D helicopters, [2608.45] Chad N: we started becoming more mainstream and particularly when mini quads became mainstream. [2614.29] Chad N: Before that, mode one was like 90, 95% of the pilots here in Australia. [2619.89] Chad N: It was only these other ones that came in that sort of changed that. [2624.29] Chad N: The history of the modes really were that when they started doing proportional stuff, [2628.69] Chad N: they had two channel with two sticks. [2631.17] Chad N: One went up and down and one went sideways and they just chose one. [2635.25] Chad N: So they chose that the one that goes up and down happened to be on the left side [2638.53] Chad N: and the one that went right and left happened to be on the right side. [2641.01] Chad N: So when they made the four channel version of it, they only had another up and down [2645.57] Chad N: and left and right on the opposite ends of the stick. [2647.81] Chad N: So they put them there and then kept them there. [2650.61] Chad N: And that was just how mode one was came about. [2653.57] Chad N: And then the pilots flying full scale aircraft just went, [2656.93] Chad N: oh, if we actually change the mode around like this, [2659.73] Chad N: it's going to represent full scale flying a bit more [2663.89] Chad N: because the control columns are on one stick and all that sort of stuff. [2667.73] Chad N: So mode two was born. [2670.13] Chad N: And three, where people go while in a commercial aircraft, [2673.33] Chad N: the throttle is actually on the other side to mode two, [2677.09] Chad N: depending on which seat you sit in. [2679.49] Chad N: So that was mode three that was born. [2681.81] Chad N: And then all the complete nuts that just didn't want to do and wanted to fill. [2686.29] Chad N: That was how mode four was born. [2689.49] Chad N: There's a mode four. [2691.17] Chad N: Yeah, there is. [2692.61] Chad N: Mode four is mode one with the two gimbals swapped. [2696.61] Chad N: Mode two is mode one with the two gimbals swapped over. [2699.25] Andy: There's actually a five and a six as well. [2701.65] Andy: Like unofficially where the pitch is reversed. [2707.49] Andy: Yeah. [2707.97] Andy: So like mode five, I think pitch is reversed. [2710.77] Andy: So down is up and up is down. [2712.69] Andy: Yeah. [2713.33] Stu: And then I think, sorry, quad mover two, he's got like mode seven [2717.73] Stu: where he just flicks the switch for throttle just to like 100% [2720.93] Stu: and then just does all his stuff. [2722.45] Andy: I never knew that. [2724.21] Andy: All right. [2725.89] Andy: Yeah. [2728.61] Chad N: Everyone keeps on making the joke. [2730.45] Chad N: If you mode one, just grab a mode two transmitter and turn it upside down [2735.09] Chad N: and fly it like that. [2736.21] Chad N: That's not the case. [2737.73] Chad N: Well, when I was in Boston, I actually did that. [2739.97] Chad N: So Cody, we'll check. [2742.21] Chad N: He's a well-known large-scale 3D fixed wing pilot gave me his foamy [2749.17] Chad N: and he had a Futaba radio. [2750.69] Chad N: So he changed the direction of some of the controls. [2755.33] Chad N: And we actually got me flying his foamy with his mode two Futaba [2761.01] Chad N: and I was holding it upside down and I was actually flying for the day like that. [2764.21] Chad N: It felt so freaking weird in the hands, but it actually worked. [2767.41] Andy: That would be a good video. [2769.41] Andy: I want to watch a video of that. [2771.89] Andy: I want to see a video of that. [2773.73] Andy: I think a Rotoraya video would be cool if they do all the mode one pilots [2777.41] Andy: and said, right, you've got to run a course through mode two and then reverse it. [2781.57] Andy: I think that would be interesting. [2782.93] Chad N: Yeah, but it's like me in 31, I think, right? [2786.05] Chad N: Yeah, that's the issue. [2787.97] Chad N: I'm totally fine with doing the change the mode challenge, [2791.97] Chad N: considering I'm already comfortable with mode two. [2795.81] Stu: You've got to fly mode three, Chet. [2798.21] Stu: Shit. [2799.65] Andy: All seven. [2800.85] Andy: There are some guys out there as well that have that little potentiometer as the yaw. [2806.37] Andy: So it's all on one stick, isn't it? [2808.13] Andy: They've got like... [2809.09] Andy: Yeah, Curtis Youngblood does that. [2811.25] Andy: Yeah, the guy with the 3D stuff. [2814.45] Andy: My brain can't even say that out. [2816.93] Chad N: Yeah, he actually flies. [2818.85] Chad N: He does that with the twisting yaw stick and mode two, [2823.81] Chad N: because he went to mode two because you found like when he was at the stingray, [2827.25] Chad N: when he was trying to do stuff to the stingray, [2831.01] Chad N: people wouldn't believe that they could fly it because they're looking at his thing. [2833.65] Chad N: So he went back to mode two, so that way people could associate [2836.93] Chad N: and go to do it that way it wouldn't look so hard to fly. [2840.85] Andy: Yeah, that's crazy. [2842.85] Andy: So are the modes purely a geographic thing? [2844.93] Andy: So the people coming into the hobby in Australia, [2847.17] Andy: are they now mode two? [2848.69] Andy: Are they mode one because that's the way it's always been there? [2851.73] Chad N: Generally speaking, yes. [2852.85] Chad N: So for example, Australia is predominantly mode one. [2857.17] Chad N: France has a high number, like is predominantly mode one as well. [2861.41] Chad N: America is predominantly mode two. [2863.89] Chad N: I think England is predominantly mode two. [2867.41] Chad N: But places here in Australia, [2869.49] Chad N: it really depends on what you're talking about in terms of RC hobby. [2873.33] Chad N: If you go to a remote control plane club, [2876.61] Chad N: you will probably get handed a mode one transmitter. [2879.65] Chad N: If you fly 3D, go to a 3D heli club, [2884.69] Chad N: or you go out and hang out with quad pilots, [2887.89] Chad N: you'll probably predominantly be given a mode two transmitter. [2890.61] Chad N: It really depends on who you hang out with. [2892.45] Andy: Yeah, it's exactly the same here, actually. [2895.41] Andy: I came, I've been flying for like 25 plus years. [2899.09] Andy: I started in a club that was flying planes, [2901.57] Andy: and every single club flew mode one. [2903.97] Andy: However, if you went to a heli club, it was all mode two. [2907.09] Andy: And I think that's still the same. [2908.53] Andy: It's just that, you know, with the quad copter side of things, [2911.73] Andy: because it's so new, [2913.41] Andy: and it's sort of more related to helis than it is planes, [2916.29] Andy: then everybody does mode two. [2919.09] Andy: Hey, we've got Albert Kim, by the way, [2921.49] Andy: that's just joined us. [2922.37] Andy: Hey, Albert. [2925.01] Chad N: Man, it's just a free form today. [2929.73] Chad N: Albert, get your shirt off. [2936.7] Andy: I don't know if you've been watching this. [2938.06] Chad K: Work on my phone. [2939.42] Andy: I don't know if you've been watching the stream, Albert, [2941.5] Andy: but there's been intermittent nudity all through the entire stream. [2946.46] Andy: Oh, geez. [2947.42] Andy: Don't worry. [2948.06] Andy: Don't worry. [2950.54] Chad K: I had to go to work, and I just got back off work. [2953.02] Andy: Wow. [2953.5] Andy: Yeah. [2953.66] Chad K: How's everyone doing? [2954.86] Andy: We're doing good. [2955.9] Andy: What's the temperature like out there in California? [2959.26] Andy: Is it that you're based? [2961.74] Chad K: 60 degrees and sunny. [2964.7] Chad K: And yeah, it's pretty cold, but it's really windy today. [2970.3] Chad K: Super windy. [2971.5] Chad K: It's like couldn't fly today at all. [2973.82] Chad N: I think I'm ready for a maiden now. [2978.54] Andy: Might as well rein. [2980.38] Andy: Who's who's meaning what? [2983.58] Andy: So that's a final glade eyes. [2985.34] Andy: So chag noac. [2989.5] Andy: Looks like we're getting to your live maiden. [2991.34] Andy: Can you strap a phone on it, Chad? [2994.78] Andy: Just tape your phone to it. [2996.94] Andy: Put your phone on it, please, Chad. [3000.38] Andy: I'll strap the computer there. [3003.02] Stu: Hey, guys, I got to go. [3005.9] Stu: I got to keep getting ready and finish some stuff before I go out and film today. [3009.18] Stu: Thank you so much for coming on. [3011.26] Stu: Have a good one, guys. [3012.3] Chad N: Bye. [3012.78] Chad N: I'll catch you around soon. [3014.22] Jack: No, no, shoot you. [3015.82] Jack: Can you email me so we can get you back on? [3019.66] Stu: Sure. [3020.14] Stu: Can I just send a link to Andy and he'll hook us up or something? [3024.86] Jack: All right, please. [3025.5] Jack: Thank you. [3026.06] Jack: Yeah, I just get in touch. [3027.74] Jack: Or add me on Skype right until I fly. [3031.34] Andy: Okay. [3031.82] Jack: All right. [3034.7] Jack: Thanks, man. [3035.18] Andy: Bye, bye, bye. [3035.74] Jack: Thanks to you. [3037.74] Jack: Don't worry. [3038.22] Jack: I'm eating. [3039.98] Jack: Again? [3041.66] Andy: I'm starving. [3042.62] Andy: I haven't gone off and eaten. [3045.02] Jack: I know. [3046.22] Jack: I got to eat with the drugs. [3047.74] Jack: That's the problem. [3048.46] Jack: Jack, can you mail me some fish and chips? [3053.18] Chad N: Sure thing, buddy. [3056.98] Chad N: I don't want Australian fish and chips. [3058.42] Chad N: I want British fish and chips. [3061.62] Andy: Oh, man. [3062.42] Andy: That was awesome to get stew on, man. [3064.5] Chad N: Dude, I know the best place, mate. [3067.38] Andy: Whoops. [3068.58] Chad N: I'm wondering if you put it in a FedEx box or something and [3071.54] Chad N: overnighted it, whether it'll be okay when they got here. [3074.58] Jack: It needs to be warm. [3078.02] Jack: Frozen, maybe. [3079.38] Jack: Oh, you could freeze it. [3080.58] Jack: Could freight you. [3081.38] Jack: Or did you ever see that episode of... [3084.98] Jack: I can't remember what it was called. [3086.18] Jack: I think it was maybe Pimp My Ride or something. [3090.37] Jack: Snoop Dogg got the military to send him, like, [3093.25] Jack: Popeye's Chicken or... [3095.89] Andy: Yeah, didn't be able to say he orders curry from Lingfield, [3100.21] Andy: which is just down the road from me. [3101.97] Chad N: I just want a good fish and chips with a bit of curry sauce. [3104.69] Chad N: It'd be lovely. [3105.33] Chad N: The sauce really doesn't have to do with that. [3107.25] Jack: Munchy peas, man. [3108.37] Jack: Oh, no, mushy peas. [3109.17] Jack: Sorry, I have to mute myself. [3110.77] Jack: What, really? [3111.73] Andy: That reminds me of dinner duties with creepy hair nets. [3115.41] Andy: Jack's eating soft diet, as you can see. [3118.61] Andy: Pringles. [3121.01] Andy: After the operation. [3122.37] Andy: Looks like Chad's disappeared. [3123.81] Andy: Maybe he's had a fail-safe or something. [3127.89] Andy: I need to wait. [3129.49] Andy: If we're going on any longer, I need to wait. [3131.73] Andy: And I'm working tomorrow. [3133.41] Andy: I think Steel's pretty much the only person [3136.85] Andy: in the entire FPV community that hasn't been on this street tonight. [3141.33] Jack: Yeah, or it's not in the chat. [3144.13] Jack: I know. [3144.61] Jack: I should probably see them come in the chat and just be like, [3146.37] Jack: oh, God, you... [3147.01] Jack: Chad, you know you were mentioning the old-school stuff. [3153.25] Jack: Do you know what I really miss? [3155.09] Jack: The talk of the 2204-1980 KB. [3166.48] Jack: Cobras. [3167.92] Chad N: Yeah, the old Cobras, which were talky because they weren't actually a 2204, [3172.64] Chad N: they were a 2205. [3176.16] Jack: I don't know. [3176.56] Jack: There was something about them. [3177.6] Jack: They were just so talky. [3179.44] Jack: They were a 2205. [3182.4] Chad N: They were talky until they threw magnets. [3248.88] Chad N: I was sure that he's fallen asleep. [3250.96] Chad N: He's actually fallen asleep in front of me a number of times. [3253.92] Lee: I don't believe that for a second. [3257.92] Jack: Get fish and chips to you. [3260.08] Jack: That's going to be... [3262.08] Jack: That would be amazing. [3262.64] Jack: I don't know. [3264.08] Jack: That would be absolutely amazing. [3265.68] Chad N: If you do freeze them first... [3266.72] Chad K: Is that what you meant? [3268.72] Chad N: Oh, yeah. [3271.2] Chad N: Yeah, I certainly don't miss the British weather.
