[285.3] Gary "Justice" Kent: representation uh all the the major events around around the around the world so yeah we've got
[293.14] Gary "Justice" Kent: quite a few quite a few pilots but they're spread out across uh different countries um so that we
[299.46] Gary "Justice" Kent: can get a good representation for the team and for next there's quite a few

[336.74] Gary "Justice" Kent: i've used up all my annual leave for the year so i did a whole bunch of events in the first
[342.74] Gary "Justice" Kent: eight months of the year and now the last four months i've literally got no holiday um so i
[349.54] Gary "Justice" Kent: can't really go anywhere unless it's for a weekend so there's sea bring is on well there was a big
[355.7] Gary "Justice" Kent: event in las uh in las vegas for the idra a few days ago um i think mac and uh mac pashwald and
[365.54] Gary "Justice" Kent: robot racer and um who else was out there uh young rock sun was out or out in vegas representing
[375.3] Gary "Justice" Kent: uh next next blades um and now that i think they're in seabring so uh those are two events that
[382.98] Gary "Justice" Kent: you know i couldn't i can't get to without taking time off so um yeah i'm still in the
[389.62] Gary "Justice" Kent: uk in this wonderful weather that we're experiencing it sucks the weather don't

[527.3] Gary "Justice" Kent: know you're on you're on banggood trying to order everything um to become like a fpv pilot so

[592.82] Gary "Justice" Kent: one night and it was bloody freezing and i could not feel my thumbs i couldn't feel the sticks or
[598.26] Gary "Justice" Kent: anything so i was like right i'm going to try and put both fingers on there and uh and see if
[602.34] Gary "Justice" Kent: i can get a bit more like stick feel so from there i kind of i guess i kind of hybrid pinch
[608.42] Gary "Justice" Kent: but mainly on my on the throttle stick i'm mainly just with my thumb but with my finger on the top

[634.1] Tony: or can you stand up while flying because i think standing up i can stand up and fly but i wouldn't

[650.02] Gary "Justice" Kent: know how it goes yeah yeah so i still get nervous before races pardon do you still get nervous
[657.94] Gary "Justice" Kent: before races uh well to be honest i feels like i haven't raced in ages so i think if i was to
[662.9] Gary "Justice" Kent: go and race at the event now i probably would be quite nervous but when uh when you're in the
[667.22] Gary "Justice" Kent: middle of the season and and you just turn up for a you're you're and it's just another race you
[671.62] Gary "Justice" Kent: know and if you fly so often you race so often it just becomes normal you don't really feel
[677.86] Gary "Justice" Kent: i mean you obviously when you're in the final you feel the pressure your heart's pounding
[681.54] Gary "Justice" Kent: and stuff like that but um for most part it's just it's just another another day's flying you
[688.34] Gary "Justice" Kent: don't i try not to treat it as if it's a major treat treat is if it's a major event or anything
[694.34] Gary "Justice" Kent: just i'm there to have fun and just enjoy the flight you just got to remember why you got into
[698.42] Gary "Justice" Kent: the hobby and um you just just enjoy every moment of it because you never know what's around the
[703.62] Tony: corner yeah you could lose your thumbs in a accident or have another child
[711.86] Gary "Justice" Kent: sports in such an early stage you just you just don't know what's going to happen from uh from
[716.42] Gary "Justice" Kent: one year to the next so uh just trying to enjoy every every minute and and just love the flying
[722.26] Frank: really so where's been your best little favorite place to fly or favorite event oh my favorite
[730.34] Gary "Justice" Kent: event um by far was the two the two of dcl events back to back in brussels it was that whole weekend
[738.82] Gary "Justice" Kent: was absolutely incredible the location was great like flying in the middle of a city um we we
[745.62] Gary "Justice" Kent: managed to win both days which kind of we were right at the bottom of the table before that i
[751.78] Gary "Justice" Kent: think well we're close to the bottom of the table before that event and we won both days which kind
[756.02] Gary "Justice" Kent: of brought us back into contention to to win the season so uh it was a really really good weekend
[762.1] Gary "Justice" Kent: and then some of the guys on the team had birthdays so we celebrated that and yeah it was just a
[766.82] Jack: fantastic weekend so didn't that didn't the celebrations hinder your your next day
[776.34] Tony: they do me jack when when i've had a drink i've never no no uh dcl have a really strict policy
[782.98] Gary "Justice" Kent: that you're there's no drinking before you're flying they have like they do have a i don't i
[788.5] Gary "Justice" Kent: have never seen anybody breathalyzed but they do have one to uh to to breathalyze you if yeah if
[793.78] Gary "Justice" Kent: they suspect something so there was no drink no real drinking before the uh before the racing or
[798.66] Jack: during the racing even wow holy moly i don't think i could do that did you have to angle your friend

[811.06] Gary "Justice" Kent: no those contracts actually look nice yeah they they do a really good job i mean they really
[817.14] Gary "Justice" Kent: take it seriously and like all their processes and stuff are as far as i'm concerned the seconds
[822.18] Gary "Justice" Kent: are none because uh they they do do a fantastic job and they make sure everyone is uh everyone's
[828.34] Gary "Justice" Kent: within the the guidelines of of the quad specifications for sure like everyone's
[833.62] Gary "Justice" Kent: flying something that's within regulation so yeah i've really got a lot of respect for
[839.3] Gary "Justice" Kent: what they've done in terms of their processes and stuff to get to get people to fly i mean
[844.74] Gary "Justice" Kent: everybody there's always room for improvement but yeah this year they they really did improve and
[850.18] Gary "Justice" Kent: they've done a good job so big respect for the dcl guys yeah did you attend um debai as well

[863.62] Gary "Justice" Kent: i was probably within i don't know four or five months from me starting to fly yeah i remember
[871.54] Tony: that you um we went everything used to be down south didn't all the events used to be down south
[878.18] Tony: and i remember you coming to caldry park yeah caldry park that was my first ever event yeah
[886.18] Tony: and when you raced everyone just went what the f how how who is this guy that was you were just
[895.78] Frank: so fast that that dying in you know you haven't seen gary fly i mean you're particularly known
[902.42] Frank: for being very very um regular and and just you know whereas like there was always the contrast
[910.9] Frank: between you and luke of luke going flat out but sort of being right on the edge of everything
[917.54] Frank: and you're just exactly you know exactly where you're going and just being dead on the racing
[921.78] Gary "Justice" Kent: line all the time um yeah well i think luke's style has definitely changed a lot since yeah
[928.02] Gary "Justice" Kent: since the early days of flying here i mean he's super smooth now i mean you can't
[932.34] Gary "Justice" Kent: i i i completely admire how he's changed how he's managed to change his style and and he is
[938.18] Gary "Justice" Kent: absolutely unbelievable to watch now i mean sometimes i saw when we were at um
[944.9] Gary "Justice" Kent: we were in um in the states this year where we were in uh where where was the event the the
[950.02] Gary "Justice" Kent: international open and i think everybody who was watching his video feed when he set the fastest
[955.14] Gary "Justice" Kent: lap was in absolute awe of of of the speed and just how smoothly and how easy it made it look so
[961.94] Gary "Justice" Kent: yeah massive respect for him um it's great to be on the team with him and like i say he's changed
[967.78] Gary "Justice" Kent: his style of flying so dramatically from the beginning um yeah it's really been so amazing to
[974.58] Tony: see he's pretty incredible in here i mean he can go from racing to uh freestyle and his freestyle
[980.82] Gary "Justice" Kent: was just as amazing as he's racing yeah yeah i don't think he can i don't think he really gets
[986.18] Gary "Justice" Kent: the respect he deserves as a freestyle pilot i don't think he's he's he's very precise in the
[991.94] Gary "Justice" Kent: way that he flies um and i and like for me personally i can see that i can see i can see

[1071.3] Gary "Justice" Kent: grab it and he'll just push it off the side or it goes on the floor really quickly but as soon as
[1075.94] Gary "Justice" Kent: he sees my quad he knows that this is that's that's daddy's toys those are daddy's toys and
[1080.58] Gary "Justice" Kent: i have to be really gentle with them and you can see him like be it really trying to touch them

[1212.9] Gary "Justice" Kent: from we set up a small one um in the field that we normally fly in in the summer um but the first
[1219.06] Gary "Justice" Kent: kind of event that we did with uh with a proper gravity gate was um multi-gp international open
[1225.54] Gary "Justice" Kent: and it was it was actually huge the whole the the it must have been about three meters tall
[1233.94] Gary "Justice" Kent: by about i don't know how i can't even i don't even know when i guess how many how wide it was
[1239.62] Gary "Justice" Kent: probably the gap the square to drop down through was probably about two meters but the the way the
[1245.94] Gary "Justice" Kent: track worked is that you kind of went up through two gates and then you had quite a distance to
[1252.9] Gary "Justice" Kent: travel before you um went inverted and dropped down through the gate um and it worked it worked
[1258.58] Gary "Justice" Kent: really well i really enjoyed it actually i haven't um they did they did have another track there was
[1263.14] Gary "Justice" Kent: like seven tracks at that event and they had a a spec class track that had the that had a um
[1272.66] Gary "Justice" Kent: gravity gate as well but that was that was better because instead of just going in from the top and
[1278.1] Gary "Justice" Kent: out back the way you came you kind of in through the top and then came out the side so you kind of
[1283.7] Gary "Justice" Kent: like corkscrew down through it that was really nice that was you know what that was probably
[1288.5] Gary "Justice" Kent: one of the best tracks i've flown all year is the multi-gp spec spec class track it was so much fun
[1295.22] Gary "Justice" Kent: it was really technical but um when you got it down it just felt so good to fly i like lost on the
[1302.18] Jack: course lost that's such a dig at me but i'm literally the james may of racing if you're
[1311.62] Tony: wondering what that's about go backwards jack on the uh last top yeah i don't i don't care
[1323.78] Gary "Justice" Kent: that's why you need to cut the white cones the white cones are like a godsend you just follow
[1327.78] Gary "Justice" Kent: them there's no uh there's no messing up the track because you're just following the cones
[1332.74] Tony: yeah i know it's your videos you seem to place your cones like right next to each other there's
[1338.34] Tony: no big gaps you seem to have one cone one cone one cone one cone and then when i watch other
[1344.02] Tony: people's videos there's like cone two three steps cone two three steps cone but whenever i watch
[1350.74] Tony: your guys videos you always seem to have them really close is there a well there's a few of
[1355.94] Gary "Justice" Kent: us that fly and we've all got we've all got probably a set of like 50 to 100 so we turn up
[1360.42] Gary "Justice" Kent: to the field and we've got like two 200 cones so it's not like we have to uh we have to hold back
[1367.14] Gary "Justice" Kent: or anything we can just chuck them down and then i'll tell you what is a godsend is a is a cone
[1372.34] Gary "Justice" Kent: collector oh my god i know send your back so much when you don't have that thing and you got to pick
[1378.98] Gary "Justice" Kent: them up at the end of the day oh it's the worst job in the world that's 10 pound i ever spent on
[1384.26] Tony: that cone picker upper up yeah that's what i call it so what rigs are you flying now and how many
[1393.78] Tony: have you got because um we used to turn up to races like with one one quad in the in the early
[1399.94] Tony: days and and just hope everything was all right and then i see people like two or three and now
[1405.14] Tony: i see people turning up with like five quads well i don't quite have i don't quite have five
[1413.06] Gary "Justice" Kent: race rigs i've got um i've got three i got three race race rigs and i've got one setup that i'm
[1422.5] Gary "Justice" Kent: testing six s with okay um but really i'm flying i've been flying the same pretty much the same
[1429.94] Gary "Justice" Kent: setup for well over a year now i just i just kind of got used to what i fly and i know how it
[1436.18] Gary "Justice" Kent: behaves in the air and stuff and i know how to build it i the process i've got to build it is
[1441.86] Gary "Justice" Kent: down i know how i know it's durable i've smashed it my frame into into trees and walls and all
[1448.98] Gary "Justice" Kent: sorts of stuff so i i just try it's something that i really it's just a setup that i really
[1452.9] Gary "Justice" Kent: trust and and i know it inside out um i have a super light frame then no no i don't actually
[1460.42] Gary "Justice" Kent: it's not a super light frame it's uh it's not one of these super skinny floss frames where they're
[1467.22] Gary "Justice" Kent: like under three they're like 260 grams or something i think some frames mine is like 350
[1475.94] Gary "Justice" Kent: 360 grams and then then if you want to add a lipo and stuff on top of that i don't know where it
[1481.46] Gary "Justice" Kent: depends on whatever lipo you add but yeah i'm probably like 500 compared to the guys in the
[1487.46] Gary "Justice" Kent: states that are running these super light frames i'm probably uh 70 or 80 grams heavier than their
[1493.46] Gary "Justice" Kent: setups at the moment um i have tried a super light setup and yeah you can really feel the
[1500.34] Gary "Justice" Kent: difference in the corners and stuff but i don't know i'm just i'm happy with myself at the moment
[1505.22] Gary "Justice" Kent: i might make a few changes this year um but maybe just to to lighten it up a little bit and and
[1511.22] Gary "Justice" Kent: trying to get a bit more efficiency uh because i think i think the i don't know maybe you guys
[1517.14] Gary "Justice" Kent: know is the the the regulations for the um for this year are going to allow for 5s and 6s
[1524.82] Tony: mental that i that's what i heard anyway yeah we've we've read i've read that definitely
[1531.78] Gary "Justice" Kent: need um netting up at events then yeah right as you're the uh quadrant right you're just going
[1539.78] Gary "Justice" Kent: to get uh you're just going to what i like is it running five and six s is it allows you to carry

[3343.87] Gary "Justice" Kent: the rider um and i don't i haven't seen any any of the leagues kind of trying to do that trying to
[3350.67] Gary "Justice" Kent: promote the pilots themselves and give you their story um because once you're interested in the
[3355.79] Gary "Justice" Kent: pilot then i think you can get more interest in the racing so i i like to see um i like to see
[3360.99] Gary "Justice" Kent: some one of the leagues or somewhat somebody go down that direction rather than uh just just pure
[3367.95] Tony: racing hmm richie holl has gary flown any of the x-class called do you fancy flying any of the x-class

[3404.08] Gary "Justice" Kent: have on our five and six inch quad so i think from what i have seen is still quite a lot of jello and
[3409.84] Gary "Justice" Kent: a lot of uh yeah vibrations from the huge like what i saw was like eight inch props with huge
[3416.48] Gary "Justice" Kent: huge motors and stuff i just don't think the flight control software is there or the technology is
[3421.92] Gary "Justice" Kent: there right now um i know a lot of people want to see i want to see the bigger quads but um i think
[3429.2] Gary "Justice" Kent: we need to need to wait for the technology to catch up before we start pushing that well the only way
[3435.04] Tony: is to get people out flying them really isn't it and then people getting interested and then
[3440.08] Frank: stuff will hopefully happen maybe we can you know use up the entirety of somewhere like
