[485.98] Jack: or hasn't got and sort of like figures and smooths everything out i believe and that kind of got into
[493.26] Jack: um beat a flight and beat a flight were like hey man we're working on some other filter that's much
[499.66] Jack: more um optimized because uh everything race flight is always always all about overclocking
[508.46] Jack: and um stressing the parts out kind of like my friendship does to me yeah this has all been a
[517.58] Andy: massive metaphor hasn't it nothing to do with b or butterfly i'd just like to point out i've never
[524.14] Ash: forked with tony thank christ only integrated right yeah via usb he was doing the uh he was
[533.9] Frank: doing the pull request to who that's why i don't know it's too early for this who was pulling and
[539.74] Ash: who was pulling in it's wait until after the watershed guys so yeah boris is like look it's
[546.78] Jack: not optimized it's you know too intensive you know like what about f3 boards we've already
[553.5] Jack: lost f4 boards um it only works on certain boards you've got to copy and paste stuff into
[559.82] Jack: this is this is um this is the filters that the the filter sort of fork and you've got a copy and
[566.38] Jack: paste is it is it right you got a copy and paste like certain settings into the gui into the ci
[572.62] NJ: yeah there are some base settings that they worked out um to kind of get people started but really
[578.38] NJ: if you want the best out of it you're going to need to do some noise analysis um and that's going to
[583.82] NJ: mean some black boxing um so i think there's still a long way to go on it i've not touched it yet i
[589.74] NJ: will um i think that that kalman filter that the actual the math for that is something that was
[595.58] Andy: used on i think was used on missiles actually i think it i think they they used it on uh nasa
[602.62] Andy: used this yeah the space missions are you sure tony because i thought nasa was fake
[608.14] Tony: but the fake nasa used it oh okay they used it you know bid controllers were invented in 1870
[615.66] Tony: wow so they used that to calculate the moon landing which didn't happen of course

[655.82] Jack: and then um and then butterfly formed and now you can run that only with certain boards and
[664.46] Jack: everything has to be f4 and 32 kilohertz and uh yeah that's butterfly really and um
[672.22] Jack: the only thing that makes me slightly like ooh is uh is joshua vardwell flew it and he was excited
[678.94] Jack: and he he was very happy so who knows anyone tried it i haven't tried it yet but didn't didn't you
[686.78] Andy: also say something about them putting karman back into be a flight now anyways like soon
[694.14] Andy: because because of this which will make butterfly irrelevant again sort of thing the video i watched
[700.06] Curry: suggested he said that the the beater flight filter was essentially the same thing yeah and
[706.86] Curry: i thought i thought he said he couldn't really detect the difference in a sort of a blind test
[710.78] Andy: he'd be hard pushed to um to notice the difference the thing is when he made that video of the two
[717.26] Andy: i could see a difference which i i could there was there was much less prop wash i thought with
[724.14] Andy: butterfly and there was beater flight um he said he couldn't notice the difference but um i think
[730.06] Andy: when you watch it maybe subjectively that's what that's what i thought but the reason why i'm not
[736.3] Andy: trying it is because like it's it's so early for something like that and i mean you saw josh's
[742.94] Andy: video they'd even you know not taken the clean flight part out they'd just done a a search all
[749.26] Andy: and just replaced beater with butter hadn't they so yeah but isn't it just a copy of beater and then
[755.18] Tony: the filter put in anyway so it should just be exactly the same so why is everyone worried
[761.02] Tony: and i'll just like to say david winnestell's in the chat and gail oran seems in the chat who we
[765.98] Tony: had on before and she said jack you look handsome tonight not not only you on drugs who said that

[783.9] NJ: that's what you're saying there tony um the biggest thing is that when you um copy across
[794.78] NJ: like they did to create the fork there's very often the tiniest change can have an incredible
[801.74] NJ: butterfly effect on the code and cause all kinds of problems and bugs and all that then needs
[808.3] NJ: you know ideally a big massive testers out there with all different hardware to see if it's
[814.3] NJ: caused any any problems i actually had had that with one of the betas of uh 3.3 and it was
[820.62] NJ: actually one of my daito models it caused a really weird wig out with the uh with having
[826.7] NJ: accelerometer turned on um and it was patched and fixed and you know these things uh need
[832.7] NJ: reporting and again when you're starting now with something brand new you would think that
[837.74] NJ: that's it it's stable and then these little changes might not have massive impacts well
[843.58] NJ: quite often you'll find that that can it can just be one little thing that can cause things to go
[848.46] NJ: quite unstable so um that that's personally why i'm going to leave it a little while i just want
[854.06] NJ: to see it mature uh a bit more before i'm going to start uh playing with with butterfly but it
[860.06] NJ: looks promising certainly from what i've seen so far in terms of the uh i think the biggest thing
[864.62] NJ: is is just it seems to be the focus is really that that prop wash handling um which does seem
[870.06] NJ: to be getting tighter and better so yeah we'll see the other reason you want to give it time
[874.54] Ash: as well is to make sure that the guy is working on it are committed you don't want to really get
[878.3] Ash: into something and then you find that a month later the team have disbanded and they don't
[882.14] Ash: really have that enthusiasm anymore so yeah absolutely give it time to mature and make sure
[886.7] Tony: they want to keep working on it yeah superfly in the chat said uh he's much running away from me
[894.06] Tony: out uh he said he's put it on three tried it on three quads and it felt good on two so he kept it
[900.62] NJ: on there so no yeah this is just part of part of living on the bleeding edge you know if you get
[907.82] NJ: you're going to get a cut occasionally and some stuff it'll work for and others it might not until
[912.62] NJ: it's it's got you know as ash said it's been around long enough and it's got enough development and
[917.18] NJ: it's it's going in the right direction because we've you know there are not to name any but there
[922.06] NJ: are others that had a lot of promise in the start and for me started to decline fairly rapidly after
[927.58] NJ: a very early peak so um yeah i'll just i'm going to watch it closely and and see where it goes but
[935.02] NJ: base flights flying so damn well for me at the minute i've a little reason to move away from that
[941.02] Andy: right now so has everyone pretty much given up on race flight what is the latest because there was
[946.78] Andy: a time when that's all anyone was flying and now it's like no one's flying all of a sudden
[952.7] Curry: i never had a chance to try it i was it was on my list of things to try and then i saw tony's
[958.14] Curry: video showing it all having a wobble out and then he burnt it so i was like is this is this
[965.1] Andy: it didn't burn very well either did it so i imagine i imagine the reasoning behind that
[970.94] Andy: so so tony made a bit right tony tony made a video that it was getting uh mid throttle oscillations
[976.86] Andy: and i'm guessing was probably told that it was a component issue and then he switched it to beat
[982.7] Andy: a flight and didn't have it and so i i guess is that the reason why everyone's ditching it because
[988.86] Tony: it's it's buggy it wasn't though a year ago it was great now it's pence
[998.94] Jack: what was that um like what uh what when did it was it still in open source or was it race flight one
[1009.42] Jack: because it was open and then closed for the race and then there was race flight one
[1015.82] Tony: when i used to fly race flight one a year ago on rc12 is that race like one open or closed
[1023.18] Tony: probably closed okay yeah it was good yeah and then it just went down ill and got worse and worse
[1031.1] Tony: and worse and i wish they'd never updated but then you're forced to update if you want to change
[1034.94] Curry: anything on your cord anyway that's still been any any updates over the massive drama with um
[1042.7] Curry: what's this name that uh developer essentially leaving posting all the source up
[1047.5] Andy: and that's what butter flight became yeah i'm sorry i'm calling you a monkey
[1056.14] Curry: but um it made it sound like he was the real development force behind it and
[1061.5] Curry: Preston wasn't so does anything actually why it's gone back yeah i don't know how many of the
[1070.72] NJ: finer details will honestly get to know because you only ever hear one side of the story from each
[1076.16] NJ: person but um yeah i i'm kind of in a similar position i started i got in contact with the race
[1083.6] NJ: flight there's right when this was you know i got one of the very first boards and started uh
[1088.88] NJ: actually i was putting race flight originally onto my spf3 um this was before they brought out
[1094.08] NJ: their own board and and made it closed source and there was a nice level of progression i thought
[1099.52] NJ: and the flying characteristics were good and there was a little bit of um i want to say there
[1104.24] NJ: was a little bit of the flight feel of kissing there that i really liked um it felt really tight
[1109.36] NJ: it was nice to act very with and it tuned up well and then we got to i know it comes up a lot but i'll
[1114.64] NJ: say again we got to rc12 and for me that's where it peaked it never really um came uh sort of got
[1121.84] NJ: back on its feet and that's with with me and this is obviously a subjective thing because it was me
[1127.44] NJ: and the particular quads i was using at the time i just had a lot of mid throttle throttle oscillation
[1133.44] NJ: problems and issues that couldn't be tuned out with the available uh tuning and filtering nothing
[1141.28] NJ: could get rid of these problems and you know even adding capacitors and other efforts to reduce
[1146.4] NJ: any kind of back emf noise or anything that could be causing problems wasn't fixing this
[1151.2] NJ: um and i stuck with it and kept going back to it and trying newer and newer versions and
[1157.04] NJ: it just wasn't really the same kind of inherent problems that came along after rc12
[1162.88] NJ: were still there and that that's when i can't started to lose confidence in it and moved
[1168.56] NJ: back over to beta flight so you know and i did i went through a build with the guy who i fly with
[1173.44] NJ: a lot my my pal carmo fbv um we both did a brand new build one was my archon which i fly now and
[1180.96] NJ: he was uh set up a reverb and he bought a brand new race flight board with the bolt and we set that
[1186.88] NJ: thing up and both of us spent the bulk of our time trying to tune out all these oscillation
[1192.16] NJ: problems and this wasn't on noisy hardware these were brand new butter smooth motors they were um
[1197.92] NJ: you know everything on the quad was new there was no reason to to to put noise and blame for
[1203.92] NJ: this and no matter what we did and how much we messed with the settings and the filtering we
[1208.16] NJ: just couldn't get that tuned out of it um and then we eventually put a an f405 on there and
[1215.2] NJ: went with base flight and you know like that the whole thing was was smooth as anything and
[1220.88] NJ: that was that so yeah that's that's my personal experience with it and where we are right now
[1226.08] Tony: anyway so there you go apparently everyone's just seeing jack's ugly mark for the most of this
[1234.32] Tony: video so far so apologize to all the viewers this is especially a full head i think it's

[1302.88] NJ: in terms of who gets the dud stuff um but always happy to have someone i actually know
[1307.92] NJ: to be fair kary kit and you've had a few uh a few duds haven't you i haven't learned that i thought
[1314.64] Ash: it does i i really feel pain when that happens because you know we are lucky enough to get
[1319.52] Ash: sent these um for reviewing and you know so really there's no excuse for it not to work
[1326.08] Ash: because they they need it to work for us to you know review it properly so i i feel real pain for
[1331.6] Ash: customers when i get something that doesn't work and i've not paid for it but i know customers
[1335.52] Ash: have paid for it and they're getting a dud and then they've got to go through the hassle of
[1338.96] Ash: returning it or swapping it out or arguing with our retailers and it uh it seems to happen a lot
[1344.48] Andy: more these days i must say yeah i'm having it just all the time it seems like every other and i know
[1351.36] Andy: what you mean because you know as a reviewer you get it for free yet you can still get frustrated
[1357.52] Andy: where you got it for free and it's like what most people be getting and i think um i think at the
[1364.8] Andy: moment it's just that they're they're rushing these products to get them out before someone else
[1371.04] Andy: gets one out that sort of overtakes it and in doing that there's no actual decent products
[1376.4] Andy: being released because they're all in like a bitter stage you know so um yes it's really
[1381.92] Curry: frustrating yeah i think we mentioned we all mentioned spc racer before as possibly the
[1387.52] Curry: company that puts good gear together but never actually test flies it and i've still got that
[1392.8] Curry: was it 95 g 90 ng the one that doesn't fly you guys had the ngi the gf and oh the gf i've i
[1401.2] Curry: i tried it with soft mounts and it it flew away and now i've been updating the stuff it literally
[1407.36] Curry: flew away it shook itself so much that because it was an air mode it's like tried to write itself
[1412.24] Curry: and like i'm full throttle and then i've just tried updating a load of software and a bunch
[1418.56] Curry: of things and it still flies like crap i have that here so i have three of them did i tell you
[1424.56] NJ: this they sent me three yeah the problem and none of them work they all did exactly what you said
[1429.2] NJ: they just just went nuts been completely mad and shook themselves shook themselves to death
[1434.16] Ash: that's a bit like the dark the dark max lovely quad and i was so excited about um
[1440.4] Ash: reviewing that one and then you spend so much time i don't know if people
[1444.24] Ash: watching think that i was reviewers wake up one morning and the postman's there
[1448.8] Ash: and a box arrives and we go yes and we'd sit in the room all excited and unwrap it and
[1454.88] Ash: it's not like that as a reviewer really it's actually oh no that's another 10 hours worth of
[1462.08] Ash: um analysis and reviewing of filming and editing and it is hard work and when you get to the the
[1467.76] Ash: ninth hour and you're ready for the bit that really is fun getting it in the air and actually
[1472.72] Ash: flying it and you take off and it just goes like that it's really frustrating so that's the dark
[1479.12] Ash: max that didn't work because the flight controller has a compass or gyro issue replace the flight
[1484.56] Ash: controller that now works nebula 230 needed and these expertise to get that stupid thing working
[1492.64] Ash: qx 9s qx 65 that thing the six batteries that came with it all sort of almost blew up
[1500.24] Ash: um i have that yeah again thanks to randy last night for that but actually the um the
[1506.56] Ash: battery seemed to be a bit better having um slow charge them not using the charger that came with
[1512.4] Ash: it and i've just bought some uh these little um much better batteries yeah those are the exact
[1520.56] Andy: same ones i got actually off amazon i took a hammer to the original ones and they were that crap
[1526.72] Andy: that nothing happened when i hammered them to death like no smoke nothing not even enough power
[1532.72] Andy: to catch fire i was well disappointed so at least when the battery's fell at least you've got the
[1537.6] Ash: excitement of a fire when you don't even get that it's a real depressing scenario but yeah i must
[1543.44] Ash: say i i i feel a lot of pain for customers because they're ordering this stuff all the time and
[1548.96] Ash: you know i guess the benefit is when we do get something that works first time
[1552.8] Ash: generally it's because it's a good product it has gone through quality control
[1556.8] Ash: and the stuff that generally doesn't work are the cheap products ah but yeah it's funny you say that
[1563.36] Andy: though because i received the dark max and i got one of the the prototypes and it was brilliant
[1570.48] Andy: and i said yeah this is great and it flew off for success without any problems and then people
[1576.64] Andy: started to get it and they were like hang on it's got a different flight controller than the one
[1580.48] Andy: Andy's got it's got it and and so um you know sometimes you can't win in that sense and actually
[1587.04] Andy: a good product turns out to be not very good because they've ended up changing it or something
[1591.92] Andy: like that so it is a minefield but the thing is though is people want to just get out there and
[1597.84] Andy: fly into these cheap models you know uh i i always say expect to have to do a little bit of work on
[1604.32] Andy: them just but you know if you if you can then it's it's really worth the effort i think you
[1610.16] Curry: know i think the problem can be because we've all had these cheap ones and sometimes they can come
[1615.6] Curry: good um as long as you you put a little bit of effort in and maybe change a couple of things out
[1619.92] Curry: but with the ones that just work which often are the cases that you have to pay a bit more
[1624.08] Curry: i get so enthusiastic about the fact that i haven't had to do this extra thing that it looks
[1628.16] Curry: a bit like some sort of paid product promotion it's like i'm still just reviewing it it's just
[1632.8] Curry: so good because it actually worked i didn't have to do anything else to do it that's why people
[1636.8] Andy: that's why people say i work for fat shark because you know i praise them but they do just work you
[1643.44] Andy: know uh but the thing is on the on the flip side spc maker a premium price and they they don't
[1651.92] Andy: perform really a couple have now i think they just had a bad couple of models but i i struggled to
[1657.68] Andy: trust them now because of you know that the what has happened in the past with them but then i
[1663.12] Ash: guess if you think about it as well we're only paying as a customer you're paying only maybe
[1667.6] Ash: 100 pounds 130 for some of these quads and they've got great components so by the time they ship
[1675.04] Ash: that from china and they've built it constructed it you know in some respects i guess you can't
[1680.32] Ash: expect it to be perfect every time but then on my dark max review people keep saying oh what's
[1685.36] Ash: better the dark max or the coppice one and actually the coppice one is much more expensive
[1689.44] Ash: but i think it's a much more rounded product that needed for me needed nothing doing straight out of
[1694.48] Ash: the box and it flew beautifully whereas the dark max great components but um needed a bit of work
[1700.64] Ash: to get it going so maybe we're just all becoming a bit tight but there's two there's two levels
[1708.72] Curry: of people isn't there there's the guys that would like to save some money and they don't mind having
[1713.68] Curry: a bit of a tinker with things to get things right and there's there's people that you know

[1751.2] Ash: it's like balance isn't it it is it does amaze me as well the amount of quads that turn up without
[1756.08] Ash: the receiver even configured properly it comes with a an fr sky receiver for example and yet
[1762.24] Ash: they haven't set the serial rx or this it's on the wrong ur i don't get things like that
[1767.52] Ash: when it comes to software and they're just dumping a config file i don't i don't know how
[1771.68] Ash: they can get that wrong and many questions i see on my channel and probably your channels as well
[1776.32] Ash: you know how do i get the receiver to work because it won't talk to the flight controller and
[1780.72] Ash: it does like you said people have some people just want to fly um i haven't got time to mess
[1785.04] Ash: around and my other half makes me laugh she keeps saying ash why are you always fixing them
[1790.16] Ash: i'm not fixing it this is just to get it going you see though ash you don't realize but you are
[1795.44] Andy: that extra step that they don't have to pay for yeah you make the video and you say you have to
[1800.96] Andy: do this this and this and then therefore they don't have to pay somebody to fly it tune it
[1806.16] Andy: and and say it needs all this this and out of the box um and in some cases actually they
[1811.92] Andy: what you know they'll send you like a pre pre-release version and then take those settings
[1817.44] Andy: and then when the customers get it you're like oh those are my pids that run so i think
[1822.24] Andy: structure manual mr bardwell i think when they're working to such a cheap price like you say 100
[1831.04] Andy: quid for a five inch model i mean when the blackouts came out you were talking six seven hundred
[1836.56] Andy: quid to get it going you know so um i think you know that's part of the reason people are looking
[1842.56] Andy: at that and and sort of making the decision themselves because actually what can happen
[1847.84] Andy: it's funny so people say to me should i build my own or should i buy a ready to fly and uh
[1855.68] Andy: just because you built it yourself doesn't mean you're not going to run into problems
[1859.92] Andy: you know you could run into even more problems building it yourself than a ready to fly so it's
[1864.88] Andy: in some respects they're quite good you you'll get you'll get problems with them but less problems
[1870.32] Andy: than you'll get if you built it yourself you know so there's no good way to look at it the days of
[1876.0] Ash: the sort of walk era f2 10 and all that where it wasn't post effective to buy that because you
[1882.4] Ash: could build something cheaper yourself i think those days have kind of gone now because when
[1886.24] Ash: you have a quad light the coppice one or the dark max um it it's not built in a way that it's
[1891.68] Ash: proprietary and you can just swap out the motors and speed controllers so i think your times have
[1896.8] Andy: definitely changed even in the last 12 months i think yeah sure so what are you guys all working

[1954.88] NJ: nose one too um so they've now said yeah get me get us the goggles back and we will take the guts
[1960.8] NJ: out and we'll put them in this new shell which has plenty of room for all size of nose uh and then
[1965.6] NJ: we'll get it back to you and cover your shipping costs and stuff so that's that's an update that
[1969.2] NJ: seems to be rolling out now which is a good thing um the interesting update on these new
[1975.12] NJ: e sheen ev 900s now i know and you got your set so originally i think i was actually the first guy
[1981.76] NJ: to get hold of those um to look at and obviously i put my video out saying
[1987.36] NJ: biggest problem is these these just can't you can't put them on your face because it just hurts
[1991.12] NJ: you know right on the bridge you know it's really quite horrible so i sent them a real and i showed
[1995.6] NJ: andy this but i sent a really simple drawing of uh of them next to the ev 800s with the nose gap
[2003.04] NJ: and then i've literally pointed to the contact points like an arrow and i've put you know too
[2009.12] NJ: short here next to it i'll put it in as simple a language as i could graphically to then send
[2013.52] NJ: back to each team say please show this to the designers and they sent me back my jpeg with a
[2020.56] NJ: big x red x through through my bit and just where their part was they just put a tick and that was
[2027.12] NJ: their feedback they basically said no you're wrong which i thought okay well yeah you told me
[2034.88] NJ: but then i made them a video and also i was putting out videos on my own channel about this
[2039.04] NJ: at the same time and saying look i you know have to show you this really isn't going to fit and
[2044.72] NJ: every reviewer is going to point this out it's not going to fit it's you know anyone
[2048.56] NJ: on the western side you're going to have this problem anyway after a few review videos have
[2053.6] NJ: gone out and the same things were pointed out to them i suddenly get an email back
[2058.64] NJ: from an e-chine designer saying so do you have any suggestions for how we could improve
[2064.72] NJ: 900 nose fitment um without having to retool uh the nose piece so it's like okay now we've got
[2073.52] NJ: more of a problem because i think what's happened is they've left this super late um and not really
[2078.32] NJ: included enough people from our neck of the woods in the base of the product and then what
[2085.68] NJ: you end up with is them at the point where they produce these ready to go out and they've now got
[2090.4] NJ: a pretty serious problem to fix um that they're looking for alternate you know really compromise
[2096.96] NJ: solutions to try and fix it so i said well one thing you could do is to increase the size of the
[2101.92] NJ: foam pad to push it further away i mean that's kind of it or as i mentioned in my video a kind
[2106.64] NJ: of a tpu gasket to try and move part of it away so that you get a bit more room on your nose but
[2112.4] NJ: these these are compromises you start moving it away you check change the focus you start
[2117.36] NJ: introducing you know the further away your eyes go from the optics the more the screens are going
[2121.68] NJ: to start to blur on the inside and it's just a classic example of not talking to pilots and
[2128.72] NJ: the right people before you uh put this stuff into production but it goes back to what andy says
[2133.36] NJ: stuff's coming out too fast you know if i slow down it will uh i think there'll be a little more
[2139.36] NJ: chance for these things to be proper the kinks to be ironed out first so i'm really surprised

[2402.96] Ash: that worries me in terms of when they've got to pay their mortgage they've got to pay their bills

[2525.52] Curry: something dishonest people are going to call you out on it and that's it done so if what i do and

[2537.28] Curry: exciting things and reviewing them i'm going to get crapped up and tell you it's crap i was like
[2541.44] Curry: well what's the point of that if you're if you're using products then you're going to be like well
[2546.64] Curry: this looks exciting or this could be something that's going to interest people as opposed to this

[2766.08] Curry: little all-in-one ear shim cameras what they called them there's something o3 tho3 or something
[2772.08] Curry: so the camera part got eaten by a cow after my little wing accidentally went into a field
[2777.28] Curry: and i separated the vtx out and just to see if i could use it and it works i said here's the
[2781.76] Curry: worrying and someone replied today said i wired it up exactly how you did it and it didn't work
[2785.68] Curry: and when i put it all back together it did work so it's like well they might have changed it so
[2790.16] Curry: but yeah so you make all these videos and that this is how it works and people watch this is
[2794.48] Curry: rubbish it doesn't work at all and same problems with um quads where flight controllers change
[2800.72] Curry: and the the wiring of certain things change um what was that one i got i think it was that
[2808.0] Curry: the b i think you had this didn't you nj and um i i had it came wired up so the receiver just
[2816.72] Curry: didn't work at all because of the the way it was wired and there was apparently a change
[2820.72] Curry: in the vtx it was one of these things that used a an s bus connection into the the vtx and channel
[2826.96] Curry: six would change channels but oh that's right yeah jack the connection to switch it apparently used
[2832.96] Curry: to work and then they changed the flight controller but didn't change the wiring it no longer works
[2837.2] NJ: yeah that was that was a weird one because that that's what one of the first quads i remember
[2842.08] NJ: which had extra features on it and again this was something andy rc had on his mini b fight i think
[2847.84] NJ: recently where they've got extra hardware on there that they don't bother to wire up like
[2852.16] NJ: there's a current sensor and all this stuff on there that's not wired up and it's not in the
[2856.4] NJ: initial uh uh configuration in beta flight it's that that always really makes me laugh it's like
[2862.24] NJ: you've got more features to sell on this that you just haven't bothered to wear that was um there
[2866.72] Andy: was a quad that was released i'm trying to think which one it was i think it was one of the awesome
[2871.84] Andy: and um it had got an on-screen display and it wasn't hooked up so that's like such a major
[2879.2] Andy: feature that that's a big so i mean i mean that's that's a good thing about it coming to us though

[2935.52] Ash: option on how to fix it you know this is what you need to do to fix that receive a connection issue

[2945.44] Ash: going to buy something the first thing i do is look on youtuber reviews and if i don't find any

[3185.04] Ash: product that if anyone saw the review but this is called the drone max which is quite clever
[3189.76] Ash: products in some ways but i had a tough time describing it in the review as to whether it
[3194.24] Ash: was actually useful it's basically a portable battery for charging um mavic batteries dji
[3201.28] Ash: mavic batteries um you charge it up you take it out to the field with you and it will charge
[3206.16] Ash: two mavic batteries up fully but then this is dead and this costs um only just less than two
[3213.28] Ash: batteries so i had a had a real internal conflict trying to justify i mean it's got a 90 lumens led
[3221.44] Ash: light on the side of it so i thought okay we could take this camping and then it's basically
[3224.96] Ash: an led light that's going to last about a week because of the size of the battery it's got a
[3229.92] Ash: usb port on it for charging mobile phones and things like that the problem is the additional

[3307.04] Jack: ever bought from hobby king they have stuck the worst fan with the worst bearings now the fan is
[3314.16] Curry: a different thing well it's the actual thing goes and provides power and i've got one of these um
[3320.64] Curry: quadro type charges which is which just worked really well actually i couldn't be without i
[3325.76] Curry: couldn't go back to that parallel charging anymore the fan when it starts up it sounds
[3330.8] Curry: like some you know really old classic car where people hang on to it say it's just classic
[3339.68] Jack: one of those have you ever been in a three star bnb light or two star even you know the the toilet
[3349.68] Jack: the extractor fan in the toilet you know that's connected to the light
[3353.84] Jack: and it's got it's got like and they've wired in a turbo uh saver in there you know like your car
[3360.32] Jack: where you switch your car off the engine keeps running for a bit to like cool the oil in the
[3364.64] Jack: turbo it's got one of those turbo delay what they called there's a name for them
[3370.72] Jack: but yeah singing yeah the worst fan in the world that's got like you know feces dust
[3376.24] Jack: like pubic hair all rolling around in there it's the work i don't know where
[3384.56] Jack: i'm just going to kiss my daughter this is not for you okay where they get the fans from
[3391.12] Curry: yeah the fan has a really dodgy startup so it's like it does it for about a minute and then it's
[3396.8] Curry: okay which i think is going to eventually die but at the moment it's charging our batteries okay so
[3402.24] Jack: every fan aqueous cell is it is that right nj the the the turnigy aqueous cell is a thing
[3410.96] Andy: yeah somebody's putting the chapter but i can't say react reactor is are they saying yeah reactor
[3417.6] Jack: yeah have they got a horrible fan i don't know but like even even their little laptop
[3425.44] Jack: like ac to dc chargers which were like five um five amp barely they had like a fan in there
[3434.48] Jack: and um they've got like a floating ground as well i've touched the heat sink in one of them
[3439.2] Jack: and got a shock when i cracked it open to take the fan out and put a new fan in

[3559.92] Frank: radio controlled stuff and then there's uh you kind of pay to go around and see all the fun that
[3565.92] Frank: people are having so it's a bit of a funny way of doing it which is maybe why it's not going ahead
[3569.36] Frank: this year but um yeah it's uh unfortunately not going ahead but yeah that's that's where i first
[3576.08] Frank: met most of you i think um that i have met um in person um you're hot glue gun fixed tony's
[3585.52] Frank: quad that first day we met oh yeah yep that was where i first uh first actually flew a quad
[3592.32] Frank: uh i think oh no actually i first flew one of jack's but the first flu first time i flew one
[3597.04] Frank: of mine i made it my first ever quad there um yeah it's so if if that's not going on then there
[3603.44] Andy: must be some kind of other event that everyone can go to exactly so there's there's mini air show

[3667.28] Tony: ever do paramotor stuff yeah i'll watch a guy on uh yeah i've just subscribed to him because keep
[3676.32] Tony: flashing up on my feed and i've been watching him and yeah he's quite expensive to get into it
[3682.24] Tony: apparently it's about 10 grand but i'm sure probably do it a bit cheaper than that doesn't
[3686.8] Ash: have to cost that much at all i paramotor and it's you could buy the engine and the wing for
[3693.6] Ash: around six grand something like that and then it's just how much you value your life
[3700.24] Ash: it's safer paramotoring honestly than it is most other kind of action sports scuba diving
[3706.0] Tony: except yeah because you're on a parachute in london and you're just going along yeah yeah

[3740.48] Ash: other day and we saw what looked like a paramotor sat outside and it was an absolute death truck
