[453.2] Frank: So we'd booked an Airbnb months and months and months ago.
[456.88] Frank: Unfortunately, the racing event fell through, but we figured, nah, why not?
[464.32] Frank: We'll go up there anyway, because also the drone crusaders club is still going.
[470.24] Frank: So although they're not doing the race events, they're still meeting up every week and having
[478.08] Frank: just a kind of fun fly there.
[479.6] Frank: So that's Gary and Wynn.
[484.08] Frank: And so, you know, that was sort of what we were going up for.
[491.44] Frank: On the way on the Friday when we were going up, we stopped off at Andy's so that Jack
[498.16] Frank: could fly the dog poo bin.
[500.32] Andy: And where is that video, Jack?
[504.08] Andy: I'm still waiting to see that footage, actually.

[521.12] Andy: I want to sort of do a bit of a story with it, I think, to sort of explain everything

[528.08] Andy: Because me and Jack had a spectacular crash, actually, that we should have both angle.
[534.64] Andy: I don't know how we managed to find the same bit of space with all of the space that was
[540.8] Andy: around us, but we managed to collide directly into each other, but they were both OK.
[547.04] Andy: So no real casualties, except for battery.
[552.24] Frank: That was up in the clouds in wellies and coats on Friday.
[558.32] Andy: Yeah, wellies and coats and rain and now it's 22 degrees and sunny.

[564.24] Tony: To be fair, though, I personally think, looking that day, the grey in the clouds
[571.52] Tony: kind of made that video for me and I liked it.
[574.88] Tony: I actually liked the fact that I could go and fly up and touch the bottom of that cloud
[581.44] Tony: and then dive back through it.
[582.48] Andy: That looked great.
[583.36] Andy: And what I thought was interesting as well is there wasn't really much moisture on the
[588.56] Andy: cameras either.
[589.52] Andy: I don't know why, but there was cloud.
[592.48] Andy: Usually, you fly into cloud, you get moisture and you can't see anything.
[595.92] Andy: But your footage, Tony, came out amazing.
[599.76] Tony: Yeah, I'm really enjoying my new reverb kiss setup.
[603.92] Tony: I've never had a kiss before.
[605.28] Tony: I need to annoy Jack because he used to go on about it.
[608.64] Tony: So I used to do it completely opposite just to annoy him.
[611.92] Tony: But now I think he had something there because I'm really enjoying it.
[616.8] Andy: I wanted to ask you about that.
[618.08] Andy: Did you just buy it completely set up like that?
[621.12] Andy: Tuned everything.
[623.04] Tony: I fiddled around with the PIDS myself, but I did buy it completely done.
[627.36] Tony: It had everything on it that I wanted.
[629.6] Tony: And I bought Botgrinder's motors to put on a frame, but it had steel motors on there anyway.
[636.8] Tony: And they're so efficient.
[639.28] Tony: They're crazy efficient.
[641.6] Tony: I've done 10-minute flight on a 1600 battery.
[646.48] Tony: That was just like cruising around.
[648.48] Tony: I was only drawing like five or six amps.
[650.72] Andy: But I was really impressed with it.
[655.84] Andy: That was the one thing that was a highlight to me,
[660.4] Andy: was how everyone tuned their quads differently.
[665.04] Andy: Like yours, Tony, was very much flowy, very smooth.
[670.48] Andy: And yeah, I thought that was really cool.

[674.88] Tony: I definitely, I flew Jack's the Sunday morning, and his race was just ridiculously fast.
[685.44] Tony: Like mine, I have to have full stick over for at least one second before it does a whole rotate.
[691.28] Tony: I flew Jack's and nudged my thumb over and it went, and I was just like, what?
[697.12] Tony: This is like a race set up on a freestyle quad.
[701.28] Tony: That's how it felt for me anyway.
[703.36] Tony: Because like my race set up is different to my freestyle.
[708.0] Curry: Oh, that's weird.
[709.04] Curry: So I can't imagine flying a quad, but flying it in different ways for different things.
[715.2] Curry: Because I just get used to like a turn being this much or a flip being that much.
[721.12] Andy: I thought what I found really interesting, because I've only ever really done reviews.
[726.24] Andy: And I think it was Jack that mentioned this.
[729.36] Andy: But like, when I look at Tony's flying, it's so smooth.
[733.52] Andy: And then I look at mine, and it's kind of all over the place.
[737.36] Andy: And I think Jack summed it up the best when he sort of said, as a reviewer,
[741.76] Andy: you get so used to trying to find the worst from a copter.
[747.12] Andy: You never try to like cover up the sort of minor discrepancies that copters have.
[755.76] Andy: And that was the biggest thing that I learned flying with other people is
[759.92] Andy: I look back at my footage.
[761.92] Andy: And I mean, I never get a chance to chew my quads a lot of the time anyway,
[767.52] Andy: because I'm moving on to the next one.
[769.76] Andy: But my footage was nowhere near as smooth as Tony's.
[773.44] Andy: And I could tell that Tony had more experience when it came to making the footage actually look good.
[783.52] Andy: Whereas I was trying to make the flying look good.
[786.0] Andy: And so that's something that I'm going to concentrate on.
[790.48] Andy: Well, I went flying with other people is to, you know, not to try and show the worst of a copter,
[799.04] Andy: because it's no good when you turn up to an epic location.
[803.28] Andy: And you've got jerky footage and stuff.
[806.96] Andy: So yeah, that's the thing I learned from the trip.
[810.48] Andy: And that's why I was really intrigued about Tony's setup with his reverb and stuff.
[815.36] Andy: Because I've got like a kiss alien, but I never fly because it always seems like
[822.4] Andy: there's more powerful options these days.
[824.24] Andy: But for flying like epic locations, beaches, rocks, you don't need the power you need smooth.
[831.28] Tony: Yeah.
[831.76] Andy: And that and that's why I never understood why some people have a freestyle quad and a race quad.
[839.44] Andy: But that that is because your race quads it does.
[842.32] Andy: It's not it's not for getting great video footage.
[846.8] Andy: It's for getting around a track really quick.
[849.12] Andy: And it might look jerky, but it doesn't matter if you've gotten around the track quick enough.
[855.12] Andy: But when you take that quad to a location where there's lots of space and you want to get good
[860.64] Andy: footage, it's not set up for that.
[865.12] Andy: So yeah, I want to I want to do like a proper freestyle build who might do one for Mini Air

[878.08] Andy: It really needs updating though, because it's it's I mean, we're talking like when road to

[900.4] Andy: But it's it's so it's got the Kiss V1 in it.
