=====================================

[0.0] Frank: Now let the trees recover. Let's drone out now.
[10.02] Frank: Good evening and welcome to Let's Drone Out.
[12.66] Frank: Someone keeps going around and kidnapping our hosts,
[16.9] Frank: so at the moment there is no Andy on video
[20.26] Frank: and Jack has disappeared, so he might escape and resurface at some point.
[24.82] Frank: We don't know, but we do have... Oh there he goes.
[28.5] Jack: I'm sorry if you can't tell how to run to the toilet.
[32.18] Jack: You guys kind of know that anyway, so I don't even need to announce it.
[35.46] Curry: Well we couldn't tell from here, but now we do.
[37.78] Jack: Oh god, you guys know what the hell I'm like.
[40.82] Jack: I just had to go. I was like...
[45.14] Frank: I was going to introduce people, but do you want to introduce people as you are back?
[49.22] Jack: Hello and welcome to Let's Drone Out. I didn't realise we were live.
[54.66] AndyRC: I thought he was talking to the viewers when he said...
[59.62] Curry: Take all that stuff about the toilet back. It was just a joke.
[62.82] Jack: There's no getting around it. Tony's explained why.
[69.62] Jack: Yeah, I did.
[70.82] Jack: But oh well. I just went for a quick wank.
[76.9] Jack: Tony came on and I had to come.
[80.26] Jack: Right, so tonight we are joined by Frank.
[83.78] Jack: Good evening.
[84.74] Jack: Andy RC.
[86.1] Jack: Hello everyone.
[87.3] Jack: Who might be naked because he refuses to come on camera.
[90.34] AndyRC: That is exactly the reason why my camera's off, yes.
[93.7] Tony: Andy, please, not because you're naked, but please can we see your boat race?
[100.26] AndyRC: I'm just not feeling camera ready today, Tony. What can I say?
[104.5] AndyRC: He's got his canoe out.
[105.86] Jack: Oh man.
[108.02] Jack: He's too up north. I'm naked.
[110.1] Tony: He said that about when I saw you the other day and I thought you looked great.
[114.26] AndyRC: Yeah, it's gone downhill since then, Tony.
[117.78] Tony: What, in three days or something?
[120.1] Tony: Body's dysmorphic.
[121.46] AndyRC: Also, it's actually 94 degrees in this room in Fahrenheit. I put it in Fahrenheit.
[129.3] AndyRC: So I don't have very many clothes on. I know that offends a lot of the viewers watching live,
[135.7] AndyRC: so I thought it's best. Plus, I can do what I want now. No one can see me.
[140.1] AndyRC: I could be doing A from the second.
[142.02] AndyRC: But we might be out here, isn't it?
[143.54] AndyRC: Tony's up on my screen at the moment, so, you know, that's all the information I'll give for now.
[148.66] Jack: Anyway, we were also joined by Tone Star and Curry Kitten.
[157.06] Jack: Hello.
[158.66] Tony: What happened, Tony? It used to be me and you last, but now Curry Kitten's taken my place.
[166.74] Tony: I'm not happy about it, to be honest.
[170.66] Tony: I'm going to have a row about it, actually.
[172.74] Tony: You're complaining you're not in last place.
[176.1] Curry: And I am always being my biggest loser, Tony.
[179.78] Tony: It should be me and then Jack last as the introductions.
[185.3] Tony: That's all I'm saying.
[186.26] Tony: Well, he hasn't come to himself yet. He will be last.
[189.3] Tony: No, but it's now you and then him because you're his new star,
[193.46] Tony: you little happy, gay little lover thing.
[196.74] Tony: Right.
[197.62] Tony: I'm not jealous of anything.
[199.86] Jack: Right, so this is how I do it, everyone.
[202.58] Jack: This is my screen.
[203.7] Jack: Present to everyone, please, Frank, right?
[206.42] Jack: And this is how my screen works, see?
[208.58] Jack: I read from left to right, like the normal people.
[212.02] Jack: So there's Andrew, there's Andy, well, Andrew slash Frank,
[215.86] Jack: and then there's let's go now, which I ignore because that's the parent thing.
[219.94] Jack: Then there's Tony and then there's Wayne.
[222.1] Jack: And then I go, hi, I'm bright until I fly.
[223.94] Jack: If Tony ever shuts the F up.
[226.34] Jack: And then this brings me on to my new segment of the show.
[232.5] Jack: Yeah, we've got a new segment, everyone.
[234.98] Tony: It's still the NDRC North thing.
[238.9] Frank: No, it's the NDRC goes to the old fashioned people.
[242.58] Jack: No, no, no, there's a new one.
[245.38] Jack: It's called Agony RC.
[247.14] Jack: It's where you can email your personal problems to Agony and DRC at gmail.com.
[264.5] AndyRC: I like this.
[266.02] Jack: And you can do it in honesty.
[267.54] AndyRC: Jack, how am I going to tell the difference?
[269.46] AndyRC: I get so much stuff like that anyways.
[271.86] AndyRC: Well, you set up a new account.
[273.78] AndyRC: Is that Tony having a beer?
[275.3] AndyRC: I thought there was a beer shortage in the UK.
[277.86] AndyRC: Not in my ass, Brad.
[279.06] AndyRC: Why did you buy that?
[280.02] AndyRC: Isn't there some sort of something about there's a carbon dioxide shortage or something?
[285.38] AndyRC: Yeah, I just got a straw room.
[289.86] Jack: So anyway, Andy, can you help me with my problem?
[293.3] AndyRC: I'll try.
[293.94] AndyRC: Go on, Jack.
[294.58] Jack: So like, I've got this like old friend who I told.
[300.1] AndyRC: Old friend.
[300.98] AndyRC: Friend in quotation marks.
[302.66] AndyRC: Yeah.
[304.26] AndyRC: Friend.
[304.9] Jack: I tolerate.
[306.26] Jack: And then like, I've got a new friend.
[308.5] Jack: And then the old friend is jealous of the new friend.
[315.14] Jack: So I don't know what to do.
[317.86] AndyRC: I would perhaps show more love to the old friend than you currently are doing.
[326.1] AndyRC: And, you know, it will even out, even though you don't want to.
[330.1] AndyRC: Because I just, I have a feeling that clearly you are not putting in the same amount of effort
[335.86] AndyRC: as you were previously to now.
[338.58] AndyRC: And so that will be my advice.
[341.06] Jack: But my old friend doesn't want to join me on my big gay farm.
[347.14] Jack: So then I have to name NPCs after my old friend, just so I can pretend he's there.
[354.5] Jack: What do I do?
[355.62] AndyRC: Just accept what your old friend's wish is.
[360.42] AndyRC: And I don't know what he wants.
[362.66] Jack: He's like, demented.
[369.06] AndyRC: So my advice would be be nicer to Tony.
[373.14] Jack: We're not mentioning the name!
[375.38] Jack: I can see it might not be Tony.
[379.46] AndyRC: It may or may not be Tony.
[382.26] AndyRC: And, you know, just appreciate that Wayne goes on your stream.
[389.62] AndyRC: This is about me? What?
[394.98] AndyRC: That would be my advice.
[398.18] Jack: Thank you, Andy.
[398.74] Jack: What's the football schools?
[400.5] Jack: No one cares.
[403.22] AndyRC: 30 runs to nothing.
[405.54] AndyRC: We've got 41 people watching.
[407.54] AndyRC: Who'd have thought that nerds aren't into football?
[412.1] Jack: So for our American listeners, that's the round ball, not the egg-shaped ball.
[416.82] Jack: Gotcha.
[419.87] Frank: This is the game where you use your feet to kick the ball.
[422.51] Frank: The ball.
[423.15] Frank: There's that one.
[424.19] Frank: Yeah, not that sort of football.
[426.75] AndyRC: Yeah.
[427.31] AndyRC: Have any of you got bets on the game or is that not a thing?
[432.67] AndyRC: You know, I'm not a sports fanatic.
[437.47] AndyRC: No one's got bets on the game.
[438.99] Curry: No, no, no.
[440.59] AndyRC: I always think, I always think it gets better.
[442.75] AndyRC: Has anyone said the word drunk yet?
[446.35] AndyRC: No.
[446.83] Tony: But we're building up to it.
[448.19] Tony: Getting there.
[448.99] AndyRC: I always think it's better to bet on English football than American football,
[453.55] AndyRC: because at least in it with English football, the ball's round a little bit more predictable
[460.19] AndyRC: and the, you know, the direction it shoots off in.
[464.03] AndyRC: That's all my opinion on sports.
[467.63] Curry: It was very important.
[471.07] Curry: An expert.
[471.55] Curry: That was the main thing about it.
[473.31] Curry: Lost me in the technical details slightly.
[475.87] AndyRC: So, oh, but there's a new idea.
[479.23] AndyRC: There's another thing I know.
[480.43] AndyRC: There's something called VAR.
[482.03] AndyRC: Do you guys know about, have you heard about this?
[484.03] AndyRC: VAR.
[485.55] AndyRC: It stands for video, which I don't, I don't know if this is actually what it stands for,
[490.91] AndyRC: but I'm going to make it up now.
[492.59] AndyRC: It stands for video assistant referee.
[496.67] AndyRC: And apparently, yes, I thought you hated football, football, Tony.
[503.07] Jack: Oh my God, this makes me want to kill myself.
[504.83] Tony: I don't watch football, but England go hands-on.
[508.43] Tony: It's like, you know, get a bit involved.
[511.95] AndyRC: Like a patriotic ref.
[516.83] AndyRC: So anyways, yes, they're using video assistants, referees,
[521.39] AndyRC: and that's what got Germany knocked out.
[523.55] AndyRC: And that's everything I know about football.
[526.51] Frank: That's more than I know.
[528.91] Jack: That's all you need to know is Germany got knocked out.
[531.31] Jack: Let me just do a straw poll on whether anyone cares.
[534.91] Jack: Hang on.
[536.35] Tony: Nine minutes in.
[537.39] Tony: Anyway.
[539.87] Curry: Drones.
[540.75] Frank: Wayne did some homework.
[542.67] Curry: Let me jump onto the drone thing then,
[544.27] Curry: because I was suggesting what we talk about today.
[547.71] Curry: And it touched the nerve, because what I watched is some stuff from Chad Nowak,
[552.75] Curry: Final Glide Oz, and he got in trouble with Casa,
[556.67] Curry: which is the Australian equivalent of the CIA or what is it?
[560.43] Curry: The FAA in the US, I think.
[563.23] Curry: And it was about a video.
[565.31] Curry: I think we might all be familiar with it,
[566.83] Curry: where he's flying in a place called Moreton Island.
[569.55] Curry: And it's the one where he flies over out into the sea and there's whales going past
[574.35] Curry: and there's beautiful, deserted beaches.
[576.43] Curry: Really, I have to say, my sort of video,
[578.51] Curry: because it's kind of exploring, looking at a space,
[581.23] Curry: not just spinning around and gubbins like this.
[584.67] Curry: Apparently, it was on YouTube for over a year,
[588.35] Curry: and then someone complained about it to Casa.
[592.43] Curry: And this basically spurred them into action.
[595.47] Curry: I didn't just look at it and say,
[596.67] Curry: oh, it looks all right to me.
[597.55] Curry: He's just over a deserted beach.
[598.91] Curry: What's the problem?
[600.43] Curry: And it turned out that they got together.
[604.67] Curry: They had a board meeting.
[606.11] Curry: Some woman flew three hours on a plane to go see him
[609.15] Curry: and interviewed him for a whole day.
[611.39] Curry: They then went back and spent more weeks writing a report.
[615.39] Curry: And he was facing the possibility of a small fine or a big fine,
[618.83] Curry: having his commercial drone license taken away,
[621.63] Curry: putting his actual pilot's license under pressure.
[626.83] Curry: And it was all because he flew about 800 meters away
[633.23] Curry: over deserted sand dunes in a quad,
[638.51] Curry: and they decided it was dangerous
[640.99] Curry: and could cause serious harm to the people that weren't there.
[646.43] Curry: That was ridiculous, isn't it?
[648.75] Curry: So what we're looking at is like a technical rule infringement
[652.99] Curry: where there's no common sense throughout the ruling.
[657.95] Curry: But further than that, because he made a follow-up video about it
[662.11] Curry: and basically said, the problem is here that we don't have any power.
[667.23] Curry: We are a tiny, tiny little niche,
[670.43] Curry: and the fight for the sub-500 foot airspace is going to be incredible
[675.07] Curry: because people like Amazon and Google are going after it.
[677.79] Curry: And they have like, here's a big bunch of money.
[680.75] Curry: Don't let anybody else in the sky
[682.99] Curry: we've been here.
[683.63] Curry: And it's kind of like every time a ruling comes up,
[686.91] Curry: we're all pretty upset about it.
[689.15] Curry: And we're like, oh, well, it's not so bad,
[691.07] Curry: but there's nothing we can really do.
[693.07] Curry: And his sort of point of view was, you know what?
[694.99] Curry: Just screw the rules, carry on, fly safe.
[698.19] Curry: We all know when something's safe, don't we?
[699.71] Curry: Because basically, if I fall out of the sky now,
[702.43] Curry: am I going to hit someone or someone's property?
[704.75] Curry: If I'm just going to damage my quad in the field, who cares?
[708.35] Curry: And just carry on.
[709.55] Curry: And I'm like, this is, I think that's all what we all need to do.
[713.31] Curry: Somewhat, somewhat controversially, perhaps saying,
[715.71] Curry: you know what, just ignore the rules, but just fly safe.
[718.43] Curry: But I think it's kind of a fight back, if you like.
[721.63] Curry: So it kind of touched it up with me.
[723.71] AndyRC: Yeah, it's almost like the kind of social justice warrior version
[727.79] AndyRC: for drones, isn't it?
[728.99] AndyRC: It's like attacking something that isn't really offending anyone
[734.35] AndyRC: for the sake of attacking them or making people aware of something
[740.59] AndyRC: that isn't really a problem.
[741.87] AndyRC: But you know, that's my sort of take on it.
[744.83] Curry: Yeah, so for me, it was like, it was kind of like,
[746.99] Curry: if you're on the motorway, and in the UK, for people I'm watching,
[751.87] Curry: we can drive on the motorway at 70 miles an hour.
[753.63] Curry: So if I sat there in the middle lane at 70 miles an hour,
[756.59] Curry: and someone overtook me, and I said to the police,
[759.23] Curry: this guy just overtook me at 72 miles an hour,
[761.87] Curry: he must break in the law.
[763.55] Curry: Therefore, you know, get in there, they tell you to bugger off.
[766.83] Curry: Similarly, if you just sat there in the outside lane
[769.47] Curry: doing 70 miles an hour, I'd pull you over for blocking all the traffic.
[773.87] Curry: And you could say, well, surely that's as fast as I could possibly go.
[776.59] Curry: And they wouldn't allow it.
[778.27] Curry: So there's loads of times when the legal aspect of what you can do
[784.03] Curry: is kind of common sense takes over, but not in this,
[788.51] Curry: because there's so much hysteria over drones.
[791.15] Frank: I think the issue with flying beyond visual line of sight,
[795.55] Frank: as I understand it, then they're probably not worried
[798.99] Frank: about people on the ground.
[800.11] Frank: But every time it comes up, it's always about,
[803.15] Frank: if you can't see it, you can't see whether or not
[806.43] Frank: there are other aircraft in the air that could be manned aircraft
[809.23] Frank: that you might be conflicting with, and you wouldn't know to avoid it.
[812.67] Curry: But this is where the 500 foot rule comes in.
[814.67] Curry: If everybody stays below that 500 foot airspace,
[817.95] Curry: it's like, we're there below it, other aircraft are above it.
[821.55] Curry: Therefore, what can possibly go wrong?
[824.51] Frank: There are other aircraft, lots of helicopters and microlights
[830.43] Frank: and things like that fly at low level and are allowed to
[834.35] Frank: for the purposes of, particularly in Australia,
[837.79] Frank: for the purposes of their professional requirement.
[844.19] Frank: And they are particularly the aircraft that would be susceptible
[847.39] Frank: to a drone strike, although in that case,
[851.23] Curry: they'd have to file some sort of permission or something
[854.83] Curry: with the governing body.
[856.43] Curry: And thus, that will be known about to people, wouldn't it?
[858.99] Curry: So you could presumably see if there were going to be
[862.19] Curry: actual aircraft in your area that would be a little flying.
[864.91] Frank: I think there's still also you don't want to have it
[867.79] Frank: down to one person making an error.
[871.07] Frank: You know, it's like if one person makes an error
[874.83] Frank: and it becomes lethal, that's not safe enough for aviation.
[880.83] Frank: You know, you need to have at least two human mistakes
[883.79] Frank: for it to become a potentially lethal situation.
[888.43] Curry: There's also a thing about how CASA decided
[891.79] Curry: what was beyond visual line of sight,
[894.03] Curry: because they suggested anything more than 100 meters away
[898.03] Curry: is beyond visual line of sight.
[900.03] Curry: If you go behind a solid object for longer than it takes to blink,
[903.71] Curry: you'll be on visual line of sight.
[906.91] Curry: And obviously, if you're flying without a spotter,
[910.43] Curry: you'll be on visual line of sight because nobody can see it.
[913.71] Jack: Are you not allowed to blink anymore when flying?
[916.83] Curry: You can blink really quickly, but don't rub your eyes or anything
[921.07] Curry: because that, you know, or even look away
[924.27] Curry: because that would be illegal.
[925.55] Curry: Are you allowed to sneeze?
[927.15] Curry: No.
[927.39] Curry: Can you get arrested for sneezing?
[928.59] Curry: No, sneezing.
[930.19] Curry: That's fineable offense now.
[932.03] Jack: I'm leaving the hobby, guys.
[934.43] Frank: But I think that makes sense.
[935.63] Frank: If you're not paying attention to it,
[937.15] Frank: then it's the same as if you're driving.
[940.11] Frank: If you're not looking at the road
[941.95] Tony: for an extended period of time.
[948.91] Tony: Sneezing and driving is worse than drink driving, in my opinion.
[954.19] Tony: I've sneezed and crossed three lanes.
[957.39] Jack: I'm ashamed to admit it, the most dangerous thing in the car
[967.15] Jack: is my mother and her bee being in the same car.
[972.11] Tony: That's worse than drink driving, isn't it?
[974.11] Jack: He grabbed the steering wheel and reared me across the road
[981.15] Jack: nearly into a farmer's gate
[983.31] Jack: and then got out the car as if she was on fire.
[987.39] AndyRC: You wouldn't get in trouble, probably, if you just said,
[990.03] AndyRC: oh, it was a bee.
[991.07] AndyRC: So that's what we should do.
[992.43] AndyRC: Oh, my drone went out of sight.
[994.35] AndyRC: Oh, it was a bee that was mighty.
[997.23] Tony: There was a bee in my pants.
[999.55] Tony: I'm sorry.
[1000.99] Curry: But I mean, yeah, you concentrate on what you're doing.
[1003.55] Curry: But of course, if being beyond visualized sight
[1006.03] Curry: doesn't mean you can't see,
[1008.43] Curry: you can clearly see out your camera and you can spin.
[1011.39] Frank: But you can't see behind you.
[1012.75] Curry: Well, you can spin your drone around a lot quicker
[1014.59] Curry: than you can turn your head around, can't you,
[1016.19] Curry: if you want to see behind yourself.
[1017.71] Frank: If you've got someone less than an hour,
[1021.23] Frank: if you've got a competent observer,
[1022.91] Frank: their job is to look and see if there's any other air traffic away.
[1025.87] Jack: But he's not allowed to look behind him
[1028.11] Jack: for longer than it takes for him to blink.
[1033.63] Curry: Although the thing I find, and flying with a spot
[1035.71] Curry: is pretty good, especially when you're crashing
[1037.15] Curry: for finding stuff.
[1038.43] Curry: The thing is, as soon as he's got a good nose like my dog,
[1041.79] Curry: beyond about 200 or 300 meters,
[1044.11] Curry: you kind of lose perspective.
[1046.91] Curry: Your sort of drone out a certain distance
[1050.75] Curry: may look like it's right up to some trees
[1052.99] Curry: which are another couple of hundred meters away.
[1055.87] Curry: I don't necessarily think it's super safe.
[1057.87] Curry: I mean, you can always do things like,
[1059.15] Curry: okay, well, I'm going to go beyond the line of visual sight,
[1061.23] Curry: but I'm going to go beneath the treetops.
[1063.95] Curry: Surely that can't possibly have any danger.
[1067.23] Frank: Imagine that would be fine.
[1069.39] Frank: But, you know, then it's sort of where you draw the line
[1072.19] Frank: because if you're flying in a valley,
[1074.11] Frank: you'd also imagine that was fine.
[1075.63] Frank: But as we know from Hidden Valley,
[1077.47] Frank: sometimes some twerp comes flying down below the hills
[1082.59] Frank: and down the valley.
[1083.87] Frank: That's happened before, and we've had to all hit the bed.
[1087.55] Tony: But Brad has can't help it sometimes.
[1092.19] Tony: That's the green stuff that he inhales.
[1094.99] AndyRC: I think what's interesting about this is
[1096.91] AndyRC: it's a locational thing as well.
[1098.99] AndyRC: Like, okay, so Chad is based in Australia,
[1103.39] AndyRC: but what if the video was shot in the UK or Los Angeles?
[1107.71] AndyRC: How could they have still charged him?
[1110.91] Curry: No, they couldn't.
[1111.87] Curry: It was a purely Australian thing.
[1113.23] Curry: It was a place called Moreton Island.
[1116.27] AndyRC: Well, that's quite worrying, isn't it?
[1117.87] AndyRC: That's quite worrying because is it going to be the case
[1120.75] AndyRC: that all of a sudden the other authorities
[1123.15] AndyRC: start doing the same to us and making like, you know,
[1126.75] AndyRC: me and Tony at the weekend at the cooling tower?
[1131.87] Jack: Well, I've already reported you two.
[1134.91] AndyRC: That's only because you're jealous
[1136.51] AndyRC: because you weren't mad, Jack.
[1139.31] Tony: We had a lovely day without Jack, me and Andy, I see.
[1142.43] Tony: It was lovely in choir.
[1144.11] Tony: It was nothing boisterous, no visits to the lab or anything.
[1149.31] AndyRC: It was just pure love for it.
[1152.11] AndyRC: It was.
[1154.27] Curry: In the little livestream I saw,
[1155.87] Curry: the first thing Tony did is shout,
[1158.99] Curry: stand on it then.
[1162.59] AndyRC: To be fair, it really went wrong on the livestream.
[1167.71] Tony: Didn't it just, didn't it just?
[1171.07] Tony: But we got it under control.
[1172.83] Tony: That was an epic day though.
[1174.35] Tony: Them cooling towers were great.
[1175.87] Tony: A bit scary, but great.
[1177.79] Jack: I think we should all go on a camera strike.
[1181.15] Jack: Everyone turn their cameras off till Andy, I see, turns it on.
[1184.91] AndyRC: Okay, I agree.
[1186.43] AndyRC: I'm going to call this bullying right now.
[1190.27] AndyRC: I totally agree with social justice.
[1193.47] Jack: Don't talk to him either.
[1194.43] Jack: Don't acknowledge him.
[1198.35] Tony: I can't.
[1198.91] Tony: I really like him.
[1202.59] Frank: Following with Stahl has an interesting point in the chat.
[1205.47] Frank: They're saying,
[1206.19] Frank: Molten Island is a tourist destination with a private helipad and heli tours.
[1211.23] Frank: So that could definitely.
[1212.75] Jack: Yeah, so they bought the airspace basically.
[1217.14] Frank: Well, that's one way of looking at it.
[1219.22] Jack: And you're not allowed to FPV and be Australian.
[1224.1] Frank: I doubt that's the case.
[1226.58] Frank: Admittedly, I don't know who there was in Australia,
[1229.46] Frank: but I imagine that the whole point is there is a lot of air traffic around there.
[1235.78] Curry: Well, I think it's going to all depend upon circumstances.
[1239.54] Curry: It's okay.
[1241.14] Curry: Yep, there's a helipad there.
[1243.22] Curry: How many flights a day did Chad check out what was happening?
[1247.86] Curry: Was he causing a danger?
[1249.7] Curry: It's kind of like,
[1250.5] Curry: well, this is what could happen if we deal also always with like,
[1256.02] Curry: this is what could happen.
[1256.9] Curry: What if you went out of control and flew up to 33,000 feet
[1261.06] Curry: and hit the aircraft that was flying along?
[1263.86] Curry: That would be bad, wouldn't it?
[1265.14] Curry: But that seems remarkably unlikely.
[1268.58] Frank: Also, to be honest, I don't think the aircraft that are 33,000 feet
[1272.02] Frank: are probably that bothered by a drone hitting it, to be honest.
[1277.22] Frank: Looking through the reports that came out the other few months ago,
[1282.02] Frank: it's the light aircraft that fly low that don't have bird strike rated windscreens.
[1289.38] Tony: Yeah, all they're worried about is microlights and helicopters with a...
[1294.18] Tony: Yeah, that's all they're really worried about, aren't they?
[1296.34] Curry: Well, it depends who you are.
[1297.14] Curry: If you ask the general public, it's all about bringing down,
[1300.74] Curry: or I'd say it's the general public.
[1302.26] Curry: If you ask the press,
[1303.78] Curry: drones are going to be responsible for killing hundreds of people at a time
[1307.06] Curry: by hitting commercial aircraft.
[1309.54] AndyRC: They're also going to be...
[1310.1] Curry: In reality, mostly about the light aircraft and potentially
[1314.42] Curry: helicopter tail rotors might have the bigger problem.
[1318.58] Jack: Yeah, Frank's right, you've got a perv on people as well.
[1322.18] Frank: Yeah, according to the media, they're going to take down airliners
[1325.54] Frank: and they're going to be used for spying through people's windows.
[1327.94] Frank: But we know that that's bollock.
[1330.1] Tony: Impossible to perv at 75 mile an hour.
[1333.38] Curry: It is. What you need to do is fly through the window to get a better view
[1336.26] Curry: because you need to be up close.
[1340.74] Tony: Come on, we're all off here.
[1342.74] Tony: Were you dressed yet and can come on?
[1346.74] Tony: No, I will not.
[1348.34] Jack: Stop masturbating.
[1350.1] Tony: Just put your video on so we can all come back.
[1354.98] AndyRC: I have no control over your video feed.
[1358.26] AndyRC: It is my choice.
[1359.86] AndyRC: It's my choice as a person, as my privacy.
[1364.34] AndyRC: As we're talking about privacy, I feel like I've been taunted.
[1368.42] AndyRC: I totally agree.
[1369.86] AndyRC: The drone users, all they want to do is spy on you in the old bedroom
[1374.82] AndyRC: from the evidence I've seen.
[1377.54] Jack: Do you want to know how to update Firefox?
[1379.94] Tony: You put our ratings up when you're in your top.
[1384.42] Tony: Yeah, exactly.
[1385.38] AndyRC: I've been exploited.
[1387.14] AndyRC: I've been exploited.
[1388.5] AndyRC: I've been marginalised.
[1391.38] Curry: Who's got the longest range quad?
[1392.74] Curry: Who can fly to NDRC X-House and spy on him and then livestream that?
[1396.26] Jack: What, up north? I don't know about that.
[1400.58] Frank: The GPRS ones or 4G ones.
[1403.06] Jack: They'll do it.
[1403.7] Jack: Tony's closest.
[1405.14] Jack: And anyway, then two new best friends anyway.
[1408.1] AndyRC: Nah, me and Tony have always been best friends from day one, man.
[1411.54] AndyRC: Exactly.
[1412.42] AndyRC: Ooh, friend, ooh, friend.
[1414.5] Jack: Oh, jealous much, Tony.
[1418.5] Tony: Ooh, friend.
[1419.14] Tony: Right, I'm coming back on the screen.
[1420.5] Tony: I can't handle it anymore.
[1424.66] Tony: Come on, people.
[1425.62] Tony: Come on.
[1426.18] AndyRC: I will be back, don't worry.
[1427.7] AndyRC: I'm just having a hard day.
[1429.62] Jack: What's wrong with you, man?
[1432.18] Jack: Have you walked into a door again?
[1433.78] Jack: Has your mum got a bit rough with you?
[1435.46] AndyRC: It's just really hot.
[1437.06] AndyRC: I feel uncomfortable.
[1439.06] Jack: Well, even more uncomfortable than when we were spooning that time.
[1448.1] Frank: Being sent a sample by Barbara.
[1451.62] AndyRC: A sample?
[1453.38] AndyRC: No, I'm just, no, I'm just not today.
[1458.26] Tony: Fair enough.
[1459.14] Tony: We'll let you off.
[1459.86] Tony: I'll do this time, but the ratings are going to go down for this video.
[1465.14] AndyRC: They are not.
[1466.02] AndyRC: The ratings are higher than ever before.
[1470.26] AndyRC: So, yeah, me and...
[1471.38] AndyRC: We had an awesome time at the towers.
[1473.94] AndyRC: I have a feeling that, you know, I think a lot of people visited that spot recently.
[1480.18] AndyRC: I don't know why, just sort of word of mouth and stuff.
[1484.02] Tony: Yeah, it was me and my mate Jokervision went up there, Danny, and we went up.
[1489.94] Tony: He drove.
[1491.7] Tony: Ooh, friend, friend.
[1493.94] Jack: Takes two to replace me, doesn't it, Tone?
[1496.34] Tony: Danny, only because of the size of you.
[1500.58] Tony: Sorry, that just came out.
[1504.74] Jack: Don't worry, Carlos fact-shamed me as well.
[1507.86] Tony: I'm sorry, Jack.
[1511.06] Jack: I'll stop taking the steroids and shit myself then.
[1515.46] AndyRC: Can I just say though, right, even though it was awesome to reflect back on, it was...
[1521.3] AndyRC: We went to this quarry, first of all, didn't we, and that was pretty chilled there.
[1527.78] AndyRC: But when you...
[1529.22] Jack: Did you go spelunking?
[1532.18] AndyRC: Yeah, we did.
[1533.06] AndyRC: And Tone's dog had a little swim.
[1536.9] AndyRC: That was fun because of, like, a lot of fun.
[1539.46] AndyRC: But when we got to the towers, it was stressful as hell, I think.
[1544.18] AndyRC: Well, I certainly thought it was.
[1545.62] AndyRC: It's only on, like, reflection watching the footage back.
[1548.9] AndyRC: But, like, to get in there as a chore, and once you're there, it's scary as hell.
[1553.78] AndyRC: And, you know, but, yeah, it was...
[1557.7] AndyRC: I know Jack would have come as well.
[1559.38] AndyRC: He had an appointment, so he couldn't have, but it would have been.
[1562.1] Jack: No, it's all right.
[1563.06] Jack: Tony, do you want to tell them what I've been up to?
[1566.42] Tony: FPV butt-holing!
[1568.74] Jack: Yay!
[1569.7] Jack: Jack had a camera up his arsehole.
[1571.86] Jack: Yeah, fantastic.
[1572.66] Jack: Oh, fucking God.
[1575.46] Jack: Tony likes to...
[1577.22] Tony: I didn't say anything.
[1578.82] Tony: I haven't told anyone anything.
[1581.06] Tony: I don't like to give out my...
[1582.34] Tony: You say all this.
[1583.94] Tony: You say all this, and it's you always tell everyone.
[1587.38] Curry: I think if you'd have got a picture of you on the table with fat sharks on, and...
[1591.86] Curry: That would have been a great fucking picture.
[1596.9] Curry: Of an amazing tunnel to look through.
[1599.54] Curry: That would have been a good picture.
[1601.94] Jack: I was thinking, I'd send you a photo of the inside,
[1605.94] Jack: and then Photoshop a little Tony in there.
[1608.74] Jack: Tony is telling me, he's a postcard that says,
[1612.1] AndyRC: wish you were here.
[1617.86] Jack: You never know, Tony.
[1618.82] Jack: You might be lucky, they might be cutting the end of my knob off,
[1621.94] Jack: so I might give you that in a jar.
[1625.06] Tony: Please, God, wear it around my neck.
[1628.26] Jack: All right, it's up to you.
[1631.22] Tony: Oh, dear.
[1631.94] Tony: No, but we're getting back on topic,
[1635.38] Tony: because we never stray off it very...
[1637.54] Tony: Well, very rarely.
[1638.58] Tony: It was...
[1639.22] Tony: Yeah, we had a good time.
[1640.18] Tony: We went to call in town.
[1641.7] AndyRC: I actually have some information though, Tony,
[1644.66] AndyRC: that I think if we'd have known...
[1646.02] Jack: Oh, shark HD.
[1648.02] Jack: Oh, N.J., you're not too busy watching the football, are you?
[1651.38] AndyRC: Well, can someone tell me the score, please?
[1655.86] AndyRC: Yeah, no.
[1657.7] AndyRC: They did a program on those towers.
[1659.7] AndyRC: It turned out on Channel 4.
[1662.02] AndyRC: It was called...
[1662.82] AndyRC: Guess what?
[1663.86] AndyRC: The program was called the Drones in Forbidden Zones.
[1667.78] Frank: Really?
[1668.26] AndyRC: I've got my bum hole.
[1670.34] AndyRC: Yeah, but it's not what you think.
[1672.02] Frank: Who's it, the one with the guy from Time Team?
[1675.78] Frank: Yeah, I've seen that.
[1677.06] AndyRC: Oh, I like him.
[1678.58] AndyRC: So basically, the angle of that program was
[1682.34] AndyRC: that it's too dangerous to send people...
[1685.46] AndyRC: No, we're losing.
[1686.66] AndyRC: Sorry.
[1688.18] AndyRC: What's the score, Tony?
[1690.18] Tony: Apparently, we're losing on Neil.
[1692.02] Tony: Sorry, carry on, Andrew.
[1693.78] AndyRC: Tandy.
[1694.74] AndyRC: So, yeah, no, the angle of the program was
[1697.46] AndyRC: it's too dangerous to send people into the site,
[1699.78] AndyRC: so they sent a drone in to film it.
[1701.94] AndyRC: And it turns out that there are a load of big, massive holes
[1707.38] AndyRC: underneath the towers and...
[1708.58] AndyRC: Oh, f***ing hell.
[1710.82] AndyRC: Flying mines and shit.
[1712.42] AndyRC: They could collapse at any moment, so they sent...
[1715.14] AndyRC: Oh.
[1717.14] AndyRC: So I think...
[1718.26] AndyRC: And we felt quite scared, and it was daunting sat at the bottom
[1722.1] AndyRC: just because there is just so much concrete above you,
[1725.46] AndyRC: and the walls are so thin.
[1727.06] AndyRC: So I think, and knowing what I know, we probably wouldn't have gone,
[1731.46] AndyRC: but yeah, quite scary.
[1732.58] AndyRC: Look it up, drones in for bit and zones.
[1735.14] AndyRC: If you were wondering, should I go to these towers or not?
[1737.62] AndyRC: Maybe watch that first.
[1739.62] Frank: I hear Mikey Dred went up as well and got chased off
[1742.98] Frank: by a farmer with a shotgun and everything.
[1745.46] AndyRC: Yeah, we're walking...
[1746.34] AndyRC: What are you saying?
[1747.38] AndyRC: We're walking...
[1747.78] Tony: You know about the shotgun bit.
[1749.06] AndyRC: We're walking across...
[1749.94] AndyRC: I don't know what you mean about.
[1750.98] AndyRC: We're walking across this field.
[1752.66] AndyRC: And I was feeling like, you know, anxious anyway.
[1755.94] AndyRC: And then Danny, I think it was Danny, said,
[1758.34] AndyRC: oh, can you imagine if the farmer's just over there with a gun pointing at us right now?
[1763.06] AndyRC: And I'm like, yeah, we need that to worry about, all right then.
[1768.98] Tony: It was worth it though.
[1770.02] Tony: It was like, it was a good meeting up with you
[1772.18] Tony: and it was a good little cut of ours we had there.
[1775.06] Tony: Oh, I really enjoyed it.
[1776.02] Tony: It was a little bit scary, but it was good.
[1778.74] Tony: We met Jab1A and Kelsey FPV as well.
[1783.3] Tony: They took us to a quarry that they found.
[1785.38] Tony: So that was pretty cool.
[1787.7] Curry: Yeah, I suppose the question is,
[1789.14] Curry: whilst you were flying around the outside of the tower on the inside,
[1793.22] Curry: were you losing visual line of sight?
[1795.7] Curry: And did you kill any babies?
[1799.22] Jack: Yeah, as an FPV, it's your job to murder babies.
[1802.82] Jack: So can I shame Tony?
[1804.42] Jack: Sorry, Andy, I see.
[1806.5] Jack: Tony decided to try and invite Kelsey FPV
[1811.94] Jack: and I told her beforehand, you're not allowed to come on until you're 18.
[1817.06] Tony: I asked her if she wanted to come on with her dad
[1819.94] Tony: and her dad said yes and so did she.
[1822.98] Jack: Oh my God, he does not know what he's in for.
[1826.82] Tony: I'm sure we can behave that night, surely.
[1830.42] Jack: No, we'll end up on a list, mate.
[1833.7] Tony: You're already on it.
[1834.66] Tony: I won't end up on it.
[1835.94] Tony: You're on it.
[1842.35] Tony: Anyway, I asked her dad and her at the same time.
[1845.95] Tony: And she was up for it and he was.
[1847.71] Tony: So maybe we shouldn't just have you on that day
[1852.59] Tony: and it'll probably go all right.
[1855.71] Jack: Did you see the drone with a Glock on it?
[1858.67] AndyRC: Yes, that's quite an old video apparently.
[1861.31] AndyRC: That's where, yeah, that's like a gun that's firing, isn't it?
[1864.19] AndyRC: And it got brought up by the media recently,
[1867.15] AndyRC: but it's actually a couple of years old.
[1869.23] Frank: Is that the one that was done by the high school kid
[1871.31] Frank: who did it for his tech project?
[1873.31] Frank: Something like that, yeah.
[1874.35] Frank: The teachers thought it was fine until it hit the media
[1877.23] Frank: and then everyone thought, no, that's not fine.
[1879.71] AndyRC: Yeah, that's it.
[1880.99] AndyRC: Oh, but to answer Wayne's question,
[1882.75] AndyRC: so he said when you go behind the towers,
[1884.99] AndyRC: do you lose visual line of sight?
[1886.51] AndyRC: Yes, but you also lose video.
[1888.59] AndyRC: So you'll notice in all of our videos that we never went behind the towers
[1893.31] AndyRC: and we always kept, if you stand at the bottom of the tower
[1896.19] AndyRC: because they are curved like an hourglass,
[1899.55] AndyRC: when you stand at the bottom and look up,
[1901.63] AndyRC: you actually look in up at the outside of the tower
[1904.83] AndyRC: and the inside because it's very thin.
[1907.87] AndyRC: So I think we never lost visual line of sight.
[1911.63] AndyRC: The worst thing was inside the tower, because it's circular,
[1917.39] AndyRC: the reflections of the video was just awful.
[1921.31] AndyRC: So the multipathing of the signal bouncing off the circle.
[1927.47] AndyRC: So funny enough, you've got a clear line of sight
[1931.07] AndyRC: of your video signal, but it's crap because of all the reflections.
[1936.35] Curry: So what you need to do is go there with Painless
[1938.51] Curry: and his rapid fire module and have a comparison.
[1941.23] Tony: Well, I use Clearview and I put two patches on in the end
[1946.75] Tony: and pointed one behind me at one tower on one up through the middle
[1950.43] Tony: and I didn't have too bad a signal in the end.
[1953.39] Tony: But one of my quads failed, so I've done crossfire.
[1957.39] Tony: But I got home and found why my crossfire immortal antenna
[1965.55] Tony: was rubbing on my frame and rubbed right through.
[1968.67] Tony: So basically it was not working properly.
[1975.63] Tony: So that's the start of the video.
[1978.19] Tony: You had a kissy, icy go out as well.
[1980.35] Tony: And then, yeah, I know, kissy, icy.
[1982.99] Tony: You mean you didn't do your range test beforehand, Tony?
[1986.43] Tony: No, I'd done it the day before.
[1989.31] AndyRC: It's something that happened while flying, I think,
[1991.55] AndyRC: because you were having no problems
[1994.35] AndyRC: and then all of a sudden it just cut out, didn't it?
[1997.31] Tony: So it was very annoying.
[1999.31] Tony: So I had to nurse to both quads that I took that day.
[2003.79] Jack: Apparently me, Tornado Girl, because apparently in Tony's eyes,
[2007.15] Jack: I'm a sex pest.
[2009.87] Tony: What's in the chat?
[2012.67] Jack: I'm really bitter.
[2014.19] Jack: Tony, Andy, this is why.
[2017.63] Jack: I mean, my friend, who's jealous, says horrible things to me.
[2022.35] Jack: It hurts my feelings and fat shames me.
[2026.19] Jack: I've only got one spot.
[2027.71] Jack: And he likes you more because he's heard of the thought
[2032.75] Jack: of getting a bit of docking in with you.
[2034.99] Tony: How many times?
[2036.35] Tony: How many times have you cussed me for being vegan on the show?
[2040.75] Tony: Well, that's no for your own, is it?
[2042.43] Tony: What else have you cussed me for for being on the show?
[2046.03] Jack: Breathing in and out?
[2047.39] Tony: Exactly.
[2048.35] Tony: There you go.
[2048.99] Tony: So one fat shaming in two and a half years.
[2054.99] Jack: Fat's 2018 now, Tony.
[2057.63] Jack: You could've got away with that mark.
[2058.99] Tony: Okay, you're fat and gay.
[2061.31] Tony: There you go.
[2062.11] Jack: I'm allowed to be gay.
[2063.39] Tony: You're gay, fat guy.
[2064.67] Jack: All right, okay.
[2066.51] Jack: Hang on, let me.
[2067.39] Jack: Dear Agony and Yarsi,
[2075.15] Jack: I am attracted to transgender women.
[2077.87] Jack: Does that make me gay?
[2079.07] Jack: Oh, cool.
[2079.79] Jack: Yay.
[2080.11] Jack: Oh, traps gay and Yarsi.
[2085.63] Jack: Dangerously coming into cops' tongue territory.
[2088.91] AndyRC: You see, I've only ever met, well,
[2093.55] AndyRC: until recently, I'd only ever met Tony and Jack together,
[2096.35] AndyRC: and they are like this constantly.
[2099.31] AndyRC: And so it was interesting to see Tony on his own,
[2106.59] AndyRC: but then when Jack was on his own, I became Tony.
[2112.27] Tony: I was the target, you know?
[2114.43] Tony: I feel sorry for you.
[2115.79] Tony: See, that is what I have to put up with.
[2117.87] Tony: And I think maybe we should just ditch him.
[2120.59] AndyRC: I've said this on the show.
[2123.71] AndyRC: I've said this before, but I think there's more Tony in me
[2128.59] AndyRC: than Jack and in Wayne.
[2130.43] AndyRC: There's more Jack in him than Tony.
[2132.75] Jack: Because that's not gay.
[2135.87] Jack: I'm Tony in you.
[2137.47] Jack: Just like to point that out.
[2139.47] Jack: Homophobic Tony.
[2141.23] AndyRC: And to answer your question, Jack,
[2142.67] AndyRC: the answer is no if they took it between the legs.
[2149.15] AndyRC: Back to the old ponytail.
[2150.75] AndyRC: Yeah, the whole lot has to go off.
[2155.07] Tony: What happened to this podcast, man?
[2159.15] Frank: When was anything different, Tony?
[2162.03] Frank: I don't know.
[2162.83] Curry: There's Bindra and Jack.
[2164.11] Curry: It's just mixed in with tux and things.
[2166.67] Curry: But I don't think you can have...
[2168.99] Curry: If you had two lots of Tony's and two lots of Jack's,
[2171.31] Curry: then it wouldn't work.
[2171.95] Curry: You've got to mash them together to create that conflict and interest.
[2176.19] Tony: He knows I love him, and he loves me back.
[2179.47] AndyRC: He's saying in the chat that he's done.
[2181.47] AndyRC: Goodbye, guys.
[2182.43] AndyRC: He says he's gone.
[2183.63] AndyRC: Been fun.
[2184.67] Tony: He'll be back in a minute.
[2187.39] Tony: Best fat shame until he comes back.
[2192.64] Tony: He's going onto his big gay farm.
[2195.28] Tony: See?
[2195.6] Tony: That one guy was the toilet now.
[2201.04] Tony: Yeah, you see, that wasn't even me that time, Jack.
[2204.0] AndyRC: Jack manages to stay pretty neutral,
[2206.0] AndyRC: but wow, that was a burn.
[2211.52] Frank: Oh, no.
[2212.16] Frank: That shows my distaste for his gay farming.
[2219.44] Curry: All right.
[2219.76] Curry: I'll ask and have a regulation question.
[2222.96] Curry: See if anybody's on board with this.
[2225.12] Curry: Is there anybody here that always flies to the rules
[2229.68] Curry: or even ever flies to the rules?
[2231.36] Curry: Because I can never get the requirement of a spotter,
[2234.8] Curry: for example, when I fly FPV.
[2236.96] Curry: A spotter is tricky.
[2238.72] Curry: And I know Andy's generally by himself by his dogship bin.
[2244.0] AndyRC: So from my experience, what I've learned flying,
[2246.88] AndyRC: because I've always only ever flown in places
[2250.56] AndyRC: that I know like the back of my hand.
[2253.36] AndyRC: So I know sort of how to fly safe.
[2255.84] AndyRC: However, at places like the towers and new places
[2259.68] AndyRC: that I'd never been, I quickly learned
[2261.52] AndyRC: that spotters are so important.
[2264.72] AndyRC: Because my first experience flying with these guys
[2270.72] AndyRC: was at the rocks, the roaches at the Peak District.
[2276.24] AndyRC: And I flew.
[2279.2] AndyRC: And I just thought, oh, it's just going
[2281.12] AndyRC: to be like any normal flight.
[2282.72] AndyRC: And I instantly got lost instantly,
[2285.92] AndyRC: because everywhere was rocks.
[2287.6] AndyRC: Every rock looked the same.
[2289.2] AndyRC: And the same thing happened at the towers as well.
[2291.52] AndyRC: And this is the thing people are like,
[2292.88] AndyRC: oh, go try and get through the little gaps.
[2295.6] AndyRC: And what's funny about the towers is there's five of them.
[2299.36] AndyRC: And you instantly don't know which one you're standing by,
[2302.48] AndyRC: because they're 300 foot.
[2304.8] AndyRC: And so I think if you know your location,
[2309.36] AndyRC: and I think you can be, and it's just a field
[2312.96] AndyRC: with no objects and stuff like that.
[2315.68] AndyRC: I think you can be really safe.
[2319.28] AndyRC: But if it's the first time flying a new spot,
[2323.84] AndyRC: Jack has what he calls his return to home jacket.
[2327.44] AndyRC: It's a fluorescent jacket.
[2330.08] AndyRC: And I wondered why he was wearing it first.
[2331.84] AndyRC: And then I was all of a sudden using it
[2334.8] AndyRC: to find my way back to where we were.
[2336.72] AndyRC: So I think just like Chad says, you've
[2341.44] AndyRC: got to use your common sense, really.
[2344.48] AndyRC: And if you're flying in a group of people
[2348.56] AndyRC: as well, it's good to spot each other,
[2350.72] AndyRC: because you're pushing each other
[2353.04] AndyRC: as well to try and get decent footage.
[2354.96] Curry: So I think I want to talk about it.
[2357.84] Curry: I'm talking about here sort of the technical rule
[2360.16] Curry: infringements that we perhaps all do if we're
[2364.0] Curry: in a known field versus the safety thing.
[2366.08] Curry: And I tend to agree.
[2367.12] Curry: And when people say about starting off,
[2370.32] Curry: I will always say get a spotter.
[2372.08] Curry: Because the first time you go up,
[2374.24] Curry: it can be quite disorientating.
[2375.68] Curry: You've never seen that place from up in the air before.
[2377.6] Curry: Even if you know a field quite well, it can look different.
[2380.72] Curry: But in terms of, do you need one to be safe?
[2384.24] Curry: It depends on circumstances again, like everything else.
[2386.48] Curry: So I'm all for rules when they enhance safety.
[2391.12] Curry: When they just seem to be there for the sake of it
[2393.04] Curry: or for getting, I don't know.
[2395.68] AndyRC: I think it's like Chad says, you can use your common sense
[2400.96] AndyRC: and be safe.
[2401.92] AndyRC: And you don't have to be following the rules.
[2405.04] AndyRC: It's funny that I get some abuse in the comments sometimes
[2412.0] AndyRC: about where I fly.
[2413.44] AndyRC: But then you compare it to the guys in America
[2416.24] AndyRC: who are bouncing off buildings, buildings
[2418.48] AndyRC: that are in operation and stuff like that.
[2421.76] AndyRC: But it doesn't necessarily mean they're being unsafe.
[2424.96] AndyRC: They're just making calculated common sense decisions.
[2430.96] AndyRC: Sometimes they take it too far.
[2433.36] AndyRC: Like the bridge dive and all of that business.
[2436.88] AndyRC: But I think common sense overrides the law sometimes as well.
[2445.36] Curry: Well, I think it should do.
[2446.64] Curry: But I don't know if that will ever stand up in a court of law.
[2450.64] Curry: It'd be an interesting one to like, you said,
[2453.36] Curry: OK, you couldn't see your quad and you were a kilometre away.
[2459.36] Curry: But being a kilometre away in a bunch of empty fields,
[2463.76] Curry: 10 metres off the floor is a bit different
[2465.76] Curry: from going out of control in the middle of New York City,
[2468.56] Curry: isn't it?
[2469.28] Curry: But will that be judged on?
[2474.56] AndyRC: Yeah, it's like flying a kilometre away over a city
[2480.0] AndyRC: is different than flying a kilometre away
[2483.44] AndyRC: over just fields and fields of nothing, isn't it?
[2486.96] Frank: The thing I like to worry about, for me,
[2490.72] Frank: it's the flying far away, flying long range.
[2493.6] Frank: If you don't have someone look as a spotter to tell you
[2499.52] Frank: what's going on from outside the goggles,
[2504.32] Frank: then say there's a horse rider out in one of those fields.
[2508.64] Frank: It's had an accident and there's an air ambulance on their way.
[2511.68] Frank: You're not going to know about it until it appears in your view.
[2516.8] Frank: But if that might be too late,
[2520.32] Frank: if you've got a spotter, they can tell you there's something coming close.
[2524.64] Frank: You should probably either get back or land
[2526.56] Frank: or whatever is the safe thing to do from what they can see.
[2530.08] Curry: I mean, the thing is, if the spotter can spot it,
[2532.0] Curry: then you can hear it.
[2532.88] Curry: And as soon as you're in the sky.
[2537.12] AndyRC: This is why I don't do long range.
[2539.2] AndyRC: Long range doesn't interest me that much.
[2541.2] AndyRC: And the way I fly, I always make sure,
[2543.84] AndyRC: you know, if you don't, especially with race drones or whatever,
[2547.36] AndyRC: if you don't fly directly over a person or a property,
[2551.76] AndyRC: or, you know, I always make sure I'm flying away from stuff.
[2556.24] AndyRC: I always make sure that if at any point in time,
[2558.8] AndyRC: having a fail safe, it's just going to land on the grass.
[2563.84] AndyRC: And people say, oh, your videos are sometimes boring
[2567.28] AndyRC: because it's just in an open field.
[2568.88] AndyRC: You're not doing proximity.
[2570.56] AndyRC: And yeah, I would do more of those risky things,
[2573.76] AndyRC: but it would be put in more danger involved in it and stuff.
[2579.36] AndyRC: So that's why I'm very conservative with where I fly.
[2584.72] AndyRC: But for the most part, and that's my opinion on it.
[2589.52] Curry: Well, that's using common sense safety,
[2591.68] Curry: which I think, you know, we can all do.
[2595.28] Curry: Yeah.
[2596.96] Curry: But I don't know.
[2598.48] Curry: I mean, you can say, this is from Frank,
[2602.32] Curry: there's sort of exceptional circumstances
[2604.32] Curry: that come up in sometimes like,
[2609.04] Curry: okay, there's an air ambulance on its way.
[2612.72] Curry: So how do we hear it?
[2616.56] Curry: This is what I'm saying.
[2617.36] Curry: I mean, you could be the next field over
[2621.52] Curry: from where the air ambulance is arriving,
[2623.6] Curry: but you've still got that problem.
[2625.68] Curry: But, you know, I tend to agree that you sort of hear it
[2628.64] Curry: before you speak as well.
[2630.4] AndyRC: If we were having loads of occasions of air
[2633.84] AndyRC: ambulance having to dodge drones, then yeah,
[2636.24] AndyRC: but when we're not, but it is not about, you know,
[2639.92] Frank: stopping something from happening happening
[2641.84] Frank: that's happening commonly.
[2643.2] Frank: It's about if it did happen, it wouldn't be.
[2647.6] Frank: Oh, that's a shame.
[2648.8] Frank: It would be you are going to prison for a long time.
[2653.12] Frank: We all have toys are being taken away and it's all on you.
[2659.84] Frank: And from experience where I used to fly line of sight
[2664.24] Frank: fixed wing completely out of nowhere.
[2668.88] Frank: There's no airfield anywhere nearby,
[2672.16] Frank: but someone decided it'd be fun to have a touch and go
[2675.76] Frank: on a field behind us.
[2677.04] Frank: And I was up in the air and I wouldn't have known about it
[2679.52] Frank: if it wasn't for the fact that everyone started screaming
[2683.36] Frank: full scale.
[2686.32] Frank: Because by the time I heard it, it had already been
[2689.28] Frank: and gone pretty much.
[2691.44] Tony: Rob, Rob Britton says the Lord and God is my spotter.
[2697.12] AndyRC: I like what I like that MC creation said the government
[2700.96] AndyRC: has no common sense.
[2702.16] AndyRC: I quite like that as well.
[2704.88] Tony: Everyone screaming Jack come back.
[2707.84] Tony: So I suppose.
[2709.12] Tony: Can you come back, please?
[2710.48] Curry: Because everyone follow up to that one.
[2712.8] Curry: Frank is when Google and Amazon get their way
[2715.52] Curry: and we'll be flying drones in the sub 500 foot space.
[2718.96] Curry: There's got to be some sort of traffic management for that.
[2721.52] Curry: So why couldn't we tap in for that?
[2722.88] Curry: Why is there alerts when that happens?
[2725.04] Frank: We could do that because it doesn't exist.
[2729.68] AndyRC: I think perhaps what I think perhaps maybe the
[2732.48] AndyRC: the no time system maybe needs to be updated.
[2736.56] AndyRC: So if you want to do a balloon flight or launch a rocket
[2740.4] AndyRC: or send a send a bus light year into space on a
[2745.68] AndyRC: or whatever it is, you know, on those weather balloons
[2748.08] AndyRC: or whatever, then you can do that.
[2751.52] AndyRC: So maybe it needs to be easier for us to maybe have an app
[2757.52] AndyRC: and say, well, that exists.
[2759.68] AndyRC: You can do that through an app and you get in sort of
[2764.24] Frank: the N.A.T.S drone assist app allows you to mark
[2767.68] Frank: on the on the map that you are about to fly a drone.
[2772.32] Tony: Yeah, well, let's talk about this.
[2774.56] Tony: What's it called and say it slowly.
[2776.8] Tony: So everyone can naturally say I'm going to use this
[2779.28] Curry: 10 kilometer radius up to about a thousand meters.
[2782.4] AndyRC: For example, you could try.
[2786.88] AndyRC: Let's just say you do that and then how does a plane
[2789.92] AndyRC: that's flying over the minute you post it know
[2793.44] AndyRC: that you're there.
[2794.56] AndyRC: Do you know what I mean?
[2795.44] AndyRC: I think, you know, there needs to be some.
[2799.04] Tony: I don't know what the answer is.
[2801.12] Tony: That sounds like it's a good option though.
[2802.96] Tony: So what's the app called again?
[2804.56] Frank: It's called the N.A.T.S drone assist app
[2807.6] Frank: and it is a login thing that I can never remember
[2810.8] Frank: and I can never log into it.
[2812.16] Tony: You get to a field and go, right, I'm about to fly.
[2814.88] Tony: This is where I am.
[2816.4] Tony: Yeah.
[2816.88] Tony: And it's not connected to everyone having.
[2820.48] Tony: Is it connected to no time though?
[2822.48] AndyRC: Yeah, it's the same people.
[2824.88] AndyRC: Yeah.
[2825.12] AndyRC: And then they notify people in the area.
[2827.76] AndyRC: That sounds like a good idea.
[2829.2] AndyRC: Yeah.
[2829.52] Frank: I often tell you are other things going on?
[2833.28] Frank: Are you in a particular controlled airspace?
[2836.4] Frank: All that kind of thing.
[2838.96] Curry: So what happens then if you say, okay,
[2840.96] Curry: I'm going to be flying my drone in this field
[2843.92] Curry: and it's like, oh, okay.
[2845.44] Curry: But then an emergency helicopter wants to come
[2848.16] Curry: into the field next door.
[2849.28] Curry: Does it tell you about it?
[2851.2] Frank: I believe it actually does.
[2852.88] Frank: It does.
[2853.68] Frank: It has an alert.
[2854.48] Curry: It sounds like it's worth getting.
[2855.92] Curry: So perhaps we should all be promoting this.
[2858.72] Curry: Like to download it.
[2860.4] Curry: Check it out.
[2861.2] AndyRC: Now, there you go.
[2862.32] AndyRC: Wayne, I'll look forward to your video on this tomorrow.
[2865.92] AndyRC: Don't want to do a video on it, please.
[2868.0] Frank: Don't forget your password
[2869.52] Frank: because I have and I can't work out how to get back in.
[2874.0] Curry: I was thinking, I forgot my password.
[2876.32] Curry: What is your email?
[2876.96] Frank: No, it's not that simple.
[2880.88] Curry: It just says you've had your chance.
[2882.48] Frank: Yeah, pretty much.
[2883.28] Curry: Go.
[2885.2] Curry: What about creating a new login ID?
[2888.0] Frank: Oh, it's linked to your phone.
[2890.32] Frank: So I don't think I, or your Google account, I think,
[2894.16] Frank: or something, some phone thing.
[2897.52] Frank: I don't know.
[2901.36] Frank: It became too much of a hassle and I couldn't be bothered.
[2904.72] Tony: Mikey Dred said, it's probably Frank 123.
[2908.32] Curry: Did you try password with a zero instead of an O?
[2913.04] Tony: That's well funny, Mikey.
[2914.32] Tony: I like that one.
[2916.24] Tony: Mikey Dred is funny.
[2918.64] Tony: Frank 123.
[2920.8] Tony: That's going to be one of my passwords now.
[2923.12] Frank: I do think that, I mean, personally, I don't think that flying long range
[2929.68] Frank: is defensible at the moment when even the people with the big money are allowed to do it.
[2934.64] Curry: Can we just define what long range is in this instance?
[2937.52] Tony: Yeah, how far is long range?
[2939.2] Tony: Because I've done two and a half miles.
[2941.28] Curry: Because some people think it's not long range until you're over 10k.
[2945.44] Curry: Other people can go beyond it.
[2946.88] Frank: When I'm saying long range, I mean beyond visual line of sight, as in you have a spotter,
[2952.96] Frank: but they can't actually see you anymore because you're too small a dot on the horizon.
[2956.64] Curry: About 400 meters.
[2958.4] Frank: There you go.
[2959.44] Frank: Whatever it happens to be based on.
[2962.8] Tony: Shouldn't it be based on your age and your eyesight as well?
[2965.92] Frank: It's based on, for me, I think it's based on your age, your eyesight,
[2969.84] Frank: the weather conditions, the local area, all sorts of things.
[2973.92] Curry: Also, if you fly at night and have LED lights, you can see them.
[2977.12] Frank: You can see a lot further.
[2978.88] Frank: Yes.
[2979.36] Curry: But that doesn't seem as safe following the common sense rules, does it?
[2983.2] Curry: You can see less about what surrounds you.
[2988.72] Frank: I guess you wouldn't be able to see the landscape as much to be able to judge
[2992.24] Frank: whether or not the safe thing is to land or not, or fly back, or do whatever else.
[2998.24] Frank: You can't judge distance as much, but I don't know.
[3004.0] Curry: I interrupted.
[3004.72] Curry: So you were saying that long range is something defensible at the moment?
[3008.16] Frank: At the moment, even the people with the big bucks aren't allowed to do it.
[3012.88] Frank: They're allowed to practice doing all those flights, but they're not allowed to go
[3018.16] Frank: crazy distances at the moment.
[3020.16] Frank: But I do think that we should be worrying about having places to actually fly even in proximity.
[3030.88] Frank: When all the National Trust places in Commons and everywhere else kind of saying,
[3037.6] Frank: making up bylaws or making up rules saying no drone flying,
[3041.92] Frank: and we have nowhere that we're actually allowed to go and fly, then I think we're screwed.
[3048.0] AndyRC: Yeah, it seems all of a sudden, it's fine for anyone to just put a sign up that says no drones,
[3054.0] AndyRC: and it's usually a picture of a phantom with a line through it.
[3059.28] AndyRC: I was speaking to some local FPV guys, and they're talking about spots around about where
[3064.64] AndyRC: the towers are.
[3067.76] AndyRC: They were saying how many sites have got that no drone sign on them.
[3075.76] AndyRC: But what allows them to do that at a public place?
[3081.92] Frank: Yeah, that's the question.
[3086.0] Frank: I would generally have said when it first started, we should respect it.
[3092.72] Frank: But I think now, when more and more places are saying that, and there's fewer places that we can
[3098.56] Frank: legitimately fly even when there's no one around, and you're not causing a risk because you're just
[3107.04] Frank: flying in a little spot around you, and it doesn't really matter.
[3111.76] Frank: I think if we don't carry on flying, we're going to end up without anywhere to fly.
[3120.24] Frank: Recently, I was listening to another podcast.
[3123.6] Frank: Boo!
[3125.6] Frank: What?
[3127.12] Tony: Was it a flying one?
[3129.28] Tony: Was it a drone one?
[3130.72] Frank: It wasn't a drone one, completely unrelated.
[3132.8] Tony: Okay, I'll let you carry on then.
[3135.28] Frank: Talking about, and this is 99PI, which is quite a big podcast.
[3139.36] Frank: They were talking about the UK right to Rome, which is why I titled this.
[3144.32] AndyRC: Ah, it's all come full circle.
[3147.44] Frank: Yeah, so up until, well from like the 1700s to the 1930s-ish,
[3155.36] Frank: more and more land in the UK was restricted from walking across it.
[3161.12] Frank: So the Peak District wasn't full of rights of way and people wandering around it.
[3166.72] Frank: It was all private land with groundskeepers that would chase you off with shotguns.
[3171.28] Frank: Until there was a mass, well it was the kind of, the Peak was a mass act of civil disobedience
[3181.28] Frank: of going up one of the mountains in the Peak District.
[3184.32] Tony: Yes, like we did.
[3186.08] Tony: I like civil disobedience.
[3188.32] Tony: I can't say it because I front too much.
[3189.92] Curry: The only problem with civil disobedience is we can only get about six people up at once.
[3195.28] Curry: There is that.
[3195.76] Curry: We all run out of frequency.
[3197.52] Frank: I'm not saying we should all on mass take off FPV and be buzzing around a mountain.
[3202.72] Frank: But I do.
[3204.08] Frank: Idea.
[3204.56] Frank: Yeah, that sounds cool.
[3205.52] Tony: Let's go.
[3206.0] Tony: It does.
[3207.6] Frank: It does sound like fun.
[3209.04] Frank: But, you know, it worked for the Ramblers to do that.
[3212.72] Frank: And then from the Rambling Association, they managed to get public rights of way
[3217.76] Frank: and national parks and all sorts of things that mean that you can go wandering through
[3222.16] Frank: the countryside to the point where we kind of take it for granted now that that's the
[3227.52] Frank: thing you can do.
[3229.68] Frank: But the really interesting thing for me about the story that they told was that there were,
[3236.72] Frank: there was this one particular group that did this, but there were all other sorts of local
[3241.04] Frank: rambling groups nearby that thought this was a terrible idea and you should just respect
[3245.84] Frank: the rules and walkway people will say you're allowed to walk.
[3250.16] Frank: And that way you won't get banned from walking places.
[3254.16] Frank: And it kind of really made me think of RC and FPV.
[3259.44] Frank: Actually, we kind of need to get it allowed in more places.
[3264.56] AndyRC: And David says no one owns airspace.
[3267.04] AndyRC: You can only be stopped from taking off.
[3270.0] AndyRC: Yeah, I guess that's.
[3272.0] Tony: I think we should go on another LDO road trip and fly around places that we're not allowed to.
[3280.32] Curry: We should crash them into those no-drone signs.
[3283.52] Tony: Yes, in slo-mo.
[3285.6] AndyRC: That would be a viral video, wouldn't it?
[3289.28] AndyRC: But you'd be vandalizing then if you did that, you see.
[3292.64] Curry: Not if you had a fail-safe, not my fault.
[3296.24] Curry: I had it, I followed the rules.
[3297.44] Curry: It was Tony's dream rubbed against me and my aerial came off.
[3301.12] AndyRC: It's an interesting point, though, isn't it?
[3302.88] AndyRC: Because have you guys heard of this urbex thing that people do?
[3308.56] AndyRC: Which is similar to what we do, except they walk.
[3312.4] Frank: It's a good way of finding spots to fly is going on all the urbex sites.
[3315.76] AndyRC: Yeah, I haven't heard of this.
[3317.84] Curry: Explain it for me.
[3318.56] AndyRC: So it's short for urban exploring and it's basically going into abandoned places.
[3324.72] AndyRC: Like so there's quite a few YouTube channels.
[3328.16] AndyRC: So somebody, I don't know, broke into isn't the right word
[3333.04] AndyRC: because these places are usually open or have a gap in a gate.
[3337.04] AndyRC: So I think that's an interesting topic as well.
[3339.6] Frank: Particularly on the YouTube videos.
[3341.04] Frank: They will show you that it was it was open before I got here.
[3344.32] Frank: Therefore, it's not breaking an injury.
[3345.76] AndyRC: There was definitely a gap where we were on Monday.
[3351.12] Frank: Definitely.
[3351.84] AndyRC: So the one I watched was actually the old Caterham Formula One team building
[3356.4] AndyRC: had been left abandoned.
[3358.08] AndyRC: There's a cool video of literally the door just being front door being open
[3361.92] AndyRC: and then walking around.
[3364.8] AndyRC: And it's interesting as well, Tony, isn't it?
[3366.72] AndyRC: When we were at the cooling towers, there were signs up that said stuff about crime,
[3375.84] AndyRC: but not about like, you know, you can't be here sort of thing, was there?
[3382.32] Tony: And there was holes in fences and we didn't, we just moved through them.
[3388.64] Tony: We didn't touch them.
[3390.56] Tony: We just was able to move through them.
[3393.04] AndyRC: And it was very safe in there because it's a few kilometers squared of nothingness
[3398.8] AndyRC: except the towers, you know.
[3400.16] Frank: So that is what the Ramblers managed to do was make it so that trespass instead of being
[3407.2] Frank: what at one point in history was a capital offense and then was a criminal offense.
[3413.6] Frank: And then the Ramblers made sure that it is no longer a criminal offense.
[3417.12] Frank: It is kind of rude, but not actually illegal.
[3421.28] AndyRC: Because no one has the, well, certainly not at our age, the intention of damaging anything,
[3428.16] AndyRC: which is just the purpose of exploring, having fun with your friends.
[3433.28] Tony: You know, it's, you know, it's hot out and everyone's got their front doors open.
[3438.24] Tony: Are we allowed to walk into people's houses?
[3443.36] Tony: Just don't want to walk around.
[3445.04] Frank: As long as you don't break anything or damage something to get in, then it's...
[3453.36] AndyRC: I kind of think that goes against the argument.
[3457.52] Tony: I want video, I want a few videos of people flying into people's houses now.
[3463.2] AndyRC: Because you wouldn't want that in your own house though, would you, you know?
[3466.48] AndyRC: You would not want someone to just walk in.
[3468.88] Frank: There's legal and there's ethical and there's socially acceptable.
[3474.0] Tony: What is it if I walk into someone's house and their doors open because they're hopped?
[3479.36] Tony: Can I do that legally?
[3481.04] Tony: Legally, yes.
[3483.36] Curry: Oh, this is brilliant.
[3484.72] Curry: This is legal advice from Frank.
[3487.76] Frank: I am not a lawyer.
[3489.28] Frank: I don't know what I'm talking about.
[3491.28] Tony: I will stand in court and go, but yeah, but Frank said it was all right.
[3496.88] Curry: And Frank said it was fine.
[3498.24] Frank: It's passing is not a criminal offense, right?
[3501.04] Curry: I've got to say, it is incredibly hard, I thought, to find places like this.
[3505.36] Curry: Because as soon as something closes and there's a space, then it's, you know,
[3510.32] Curry: we're all crowded in this country.
[3511.68] Curry: It's worth money.
[3512.64] Curry: Fences go up, it gets demolished, new things get built there.
[3516.16] Curry: There's almost no gap in between if you ever find just a building, you know.
[3522.0] Curry: Even if you look at Google Maps, I used to do this to try and find sort of places to fly until
[3527.44] Curry: I found a bit for me.
[3528.88] Curry: But I'm always looking for places to fly fixed wing with a bit more room.
[3532.24] Curry: And I look at the map around me and there's loads of green area and you're like,
[3535.44] Curry: this is all farmland.
[3536.56] Curry: But if you drive down there, there's just massive sort of hedgerows either side.
[3540.88] Curry: You cannot get onto a land.
[3544.48] AndyRC: Well, you see what you have to do is you see you have to adapt the technique
[3548.8] AndyRC: that Tony has adapted, which is bribing people.
[3554.0] AndyRC: Tony anywhere you go with Tony's like, I'll be all right.
[3556.8] AndyRC: We'll give him 50 quid.
[3557.92] AndyRC: Come on.
[3558.16] AndyRC: Let's all chip in.
[3561.04] Tony: He's a nifty.
[3563.2] Tony: Oh, why is it nifty?
[3564.4] Tony: It normally works.
[3567.6] AndyRC: You are right, though.
[3568.48] AndyRC: In fact, those those towers are very unique in that they've been derelict for 20 years
[3575.04] AndyRC: for some reason or some unknown reason.
[3578.8] AndyRC: And yeah, there is.
[3579.92] AndyRC: I'm the same.
[3580.72] AndyRC: If anyone's asking me where to fly in this area, I couldn't I couldn't tell you because
[3586.32] AndyRC: like you say, it's all it's all boarded up.
[3588.96] AndyRC: It's fenced up.
[3590.08] AndyRC: And what I find amazing is like the videos that you see on YouTube from America.
[3595.92] AndyRC: It seems like there's just abandoned buildings everywhere.
[3599.44] Curry: You just have to wonder out of five minutes and you will find it.
[3602.56] Curry: I mean, they've got a lot more room there.
[3604.08] Frank: Yeah, but then it's just huge.
[3607.12] Frank: Take down the old one.
[3609.52] AndyRC: We don't really have that here.
[3611.44] Frank: But what we do have are ridiculous planning permission laws that mean that or rules,
[3616.8] Frank: at least that mean that there are loads of buildings that will sit there empty for years
[3622.16] Frank: waiting for an architect to finish what he's doing, get it passed by council,
[3625.92] Frank: and then actually get the money to build it.
[3627.44] Frank: And everything falls apart in that time when they start there again.
[3630.4] Frank: So there are if you know the places, then they do hang around for a little bit and
[3637.04] Frank: fly them while they're there.
[3638.96] Frank: But yeah, urbex sites are very good for giving.
[3642.72] AndyRC: Is there is there an FPV version of urbex sites?
[3646.64] Curry: Let's make one.
[3647.68] Curry: Urbex.
[3649.76] Curry: Flight Urban Exploring.
[3651.84] Frank: Yeah, let's do it.
[3653.28] Frank: 28 Days Later is a good website.
[3656.64] Frank: I highly recommend it.
[3657.68] AndyRC: Oh, there you go.
[3658.96] Tony: Apparently, we've got to play right.
[3660.88] Tony: Who wants to play OI and DRC?
[3663.36] Tony: You're a Norvina.
[3664.64] Tony: Right.
[3664.88] Tony: I think that's up next.
[3666.48] Tony: Jack.
[3671.68] Frank: I think Jack is pointing to his watch.
[3674.08] Frank: Jack, come on.
[3675.68] Tony: We're playing Norvina thing.
[3677.76] Tony: You've got to unmute yourself and talk.
[3680.72] Jack: Right.
[3681.2] Jack: Andy, I'll say OI, you're Northern.
[3684.72] Jack: Andy, what is a hinny?
[3687.28] AndyRC: A hinny?
[3688.64] Jack: Oh, Jesus.
[3690.4] AndyRC: You know what?
[3692.16] AndyRC: Joe, it was really funny.
[3693.28] AndyRC: I told Jack like, there's this thing that I'm Northern.
[3696.72] AndyRC: And then people saw that I was at Wellington.
[3698.8] AndyRC: And people and then someone was like,
[3701.76] AndyRC: I thought you were from North.
[3703.76] AndyRC: And I'm like,
[3705.68] AndyRC: yeah, you are for us.
[3708.24] AndyRC: Well, I see.
[3709.28] AndyRC: I seem to be.
[3710.08] AndyRC: But yeah, I thought that was pretty funny.
[3714.24] AndyRC: Yeah, but we need a website to stuff like that for FPV.
[3717.6] AndyRC: Maybe there is one.
[3718.72] AndyRC: And we just don't know about it.
[3720.8] Frank: We know it with the cool kids that know it.
[3724.16] AndyRC: Yeah, exactly.
[3725.12] AndyRC: What's a hinny?
[3726.8] AndyRC: I have no idea.
[3727.68] AndyRC: Are you going to make me Google it again?
[3729.2] AndyRC: Oh, yeah.
[3732.08] AndyRC: Where's this question come from, Jack?
[3735.2] Jack: Have a hinny.
[3737.6] Jack: Hang on.
[3738.08] Tony: He's going to add a dictionary again.
[3741.44] Tony: Green Patches says this is the new favorite part of the show.
[3746.96] AndyRC: It says here, a hinny is the offspring of a female donkey.
[3753.52] AndyRC: And now I'm going to type in hinny.
[3755.04] Curry: I like the fact it's an offshoot of a female donkey,
[3757.28] Curry: as opposed to a male donkey.
[3758.64] Curry: That would be something else.
[3760.56] Jack: Hinny and Jack is a female donkey called a Jenny,
[3765.68] Jack: and a male donkey called a Jack.
[3768.16] Tony: Thank you, Farmer Jack.
[3771.6] AndyRC: So that's why you were such an arse.
[3777.04] AndyRC: I looked it up on Urban Dictionary,
[3778.8] AndyRC: and there's nothing so.
[3779.92] AndyRC: It sounds like a genuine term for once.
[3783.76] AndyRC: What was he actually running?
[3785.12] AndyRC: Well, I'm not Northern, so this segment never works.
[3790.32] Jack: What do you think it is?
[3795.04] Jack: Have a guess.
[3796.48] AndyRC: Well, I just said it says here it's a female donkey,
[3799.2] AndyRC: or a female horse, it says.
[3800.96] Jack: So you're pretty quick.
[3803.52] Jack: Life or female partner, and it's a term from Newcastle.
[3809.84] AndyRC: When painless was on last week,
[3811.36] AndyRC: all of a sudden it was like a different language
[3813.28] AndyRC: that was being spoken.
[3814.88] Jack: And it's usage.
[3819.68] Jack: Do us a scran, Hinny.
[3822.48] AndyRC: I'm clamming.
[3826.16] Jack: Which means do us a sandwich or something.
[3830.48] Jack: I don't know what a scran is.
[3831.76] Jack: Does anyone know what a scran is?
[3833.92] AndyRC: Didn't we do a scran last week?
[3836.88] Jack: No, we don't.
[3837.52] Jack: Or a scran.
[3838.24] Jack: No, no, no.
[3839.44] Jack: Clangy.
[3840.4] AndyRC: We can't go out on an empty barley any chance of some scran.
[3845.52] AndyRC: I imagine it's food, scran.
[3849.84] Jack: Yeah.
[3851.92] Jack: This is so enlightening, the Northern world.
[3856.24] AndyRC: Yeah.
[3857.12] Jack: It is a sandwich, food, sandwich.
[3859.6] Jack: Scran is just food.
[3861.12] AndyRC: What about Southern sayings?
[3863.28] AndyRC: Why don't we have a cover that?
[3865.28] Curry: Because that's just English.
[3867.6] AndyRC: That would be sandwich.
[3870.24] AndyRC: Sandwich.
[3871.28] AndyRC: Sandwich, yes.
[3872.88] AndyRC: That's a bottom reference.
[3874.4] AndyRC: Lost on everyone.
[3877.28] Tony: I love bottom, sorry.
[3878.8] Tony: I have to put it in.
[3880.4] Jack: So there's a picture of like, you know, the wine tasters.
[3887.44] Jack: And it has Southerner and it goes,
[3889.04] Jack: I'm getting raspberry with a hint of freshly baked dough
[3893.2] Jack: and a chocolate finish.
[3895.68] Jack: And then there's Northern her drinking wine.
[3898.56] Jack: And it says, I'm just getting pissed.
[3904.32] Tony: I'm going to do a shout out quickly in the chat.
[3907.6] Tony: Jacob is in the chat.
[3908.88] Tony: Don Holmes in the chat.
[3910.08] Tony: Falling with Star Wayne, what's up?
[3912.24] Tony: Wind Davis is in chat.
[3915.04] Tony: Tribal Anonymous FBV is in the chat.
[3917.44] Tony: Clive's in the chat.
[3918.32] Tony: Rob Britton's in the chat.
[3919.36] Tony: Richard Harbord's in the chat.
[3921.68] Tony: Mikey Dreddle obviously is always in the chat.
[3924.16] Tony: What's up, Mikey?
[3925.36] Tony: Green patches, hello.
[3927.84] Tony: Is that Canadian for a long?
[3930.16] Tony: I don't know.
[3930.88] Tony: He's in Canada.
[3931.52] Tony: He's in Canada for a thousand accents.
[3938.48] Tony: Same story.
[3939.84] Tony: MC Creations, what's up?
[3941.76] Tony: I think he's from Mexico.
[3944.72] Tony: I don't know.
[3945.2] AndyRC: Man, MC Creations is on every video.
[3948.4] AndyRC: We've got so much after and well done to MC Creations.
[3951.68] Tony: We love him.
[3952.88] Tony: Who else is in the chat?
[3954.08] Tony: Falling with Star.
[3956.96] Tony: We've had Tornado go in the chat.
[3958.56] Tony: Hello.
[3960.16] Tony: I think that's it.
[3961.68] Tony: That's all I can scroll for at the moment.
[3963.84] Jack: Oh, I thought no.
[3964.8] Jack: Hello.
[3966.08] Jack: Does anyone care about the football straw poll results?
[3970.8] Jack: I'd rather be dead with 82%.
[3977.36] Jack: Yes, anything's better than Let's Drone Out.
[3980.88] Jack: It comes in at 12%.
[3983.68] AndyRC: Coin comes in at 6%.
[3985.76] AndyRC: The thing is, someone's clicked that whilst watching the show and not football.
[3991.12] AndyRC: I reckon it's Jack.
[3993.68] Jack: No, I voted for I'd Rather Be Dead.
[3997.04] Tony: I voted for the one that was better than the LDA.
[4001.84] AndyRC: What?
[4002.08] AndyRC: Who's winning, by the way?
[4004.56] AndyRC: You know, the people from where we're from, what's the score?
[4009.04] Tony: We lost.
[4010.08] Tony: Belgian won.
[4011.2] AndyRC: Well, it's finished already.
[4013.84] AndyRC: I don't mind.
[4014.32] AndyRC: Does that mean it's the end?
[4017.12] Tony: Apparently, Mike Adrian said it'll be better for us that we come second.
[4021.04] Tony: So it was probably all planned.
[4024.48] Tony: There you go.
[4025.52] Frank: Anyway, Jack, do you want to wrap us up?
[4028.08] Jack: Yep.
[4028.88] Jack: Tonight, you've been listening to Let's Drone Out.
[4031.2] Jack: Big shout out to our Patreons who keep this shit show afloat.
[4040.4] Jack: I love you guys.
[4041.76] Jack: I'm sorry I've been lacking on the editing lately,
[4044.88] Jack: but I have been very on a lot of drugs.
[4049.36] Jack: Not the good ones.
[4050.32] Jack: Yeah.
[4050.88] Jack: We've been joined by Andrew slash Frank.
[4053.28] Jack: Yes.
[4053.6] Jack: Goodbye.
[4054.64] Jack: Andy RC.
[4055.68] AndyRC: Good night, everyone.
[4056.56] AndyRC: Thanks for listening.
[4058.08] Jack: Curry Kitten.
[4059.28] Jack: Goodbye, all.
[4060.32] Jack: Myself and the Lord and Master Tony of Everything.
[4067.92] Jack: Bonjour.
[4069.44] Jack: Forgive me, my overlord, for I have sinned against you with enjoying
[4074.24] Jack: Curry Kitten, and I'll be over on Twitch playing gay farming.
[4080.32] Jack: I won't actually come and watch you do that.
[4082.4] Jack: There are links in the chat.
[4084.08] Jack: Guys, Andy RC, Curry Kitten, Colt, do you want to join?
[4088.08] Frank: Do all the things.
[4089.52] Frank: Yeah.
[4091.44] AndyRC: I think you should do what you did last time
[4093.52] AndyRC: and have us over the top of you playing because that...
[4097.04] Jack: I need you guys to work and get me money.
[4100.88] Tony: Well, pay us then, and we will.
[4102.48] Tony: Yeah, is it?
[4104.48] Tony: Thanks, everyone, in chat.
[4106.0] Tony: We love you lots.
[4107.92] Tony: Bye.
[4109.04] Tony: Thank you.
[4109.52] Tony: Bye, bye, bye.
[4110.72] Tony: See you on Twitch.
