[1.1] Jack: Let's drone it out now. [7.65] Jack: Master Kate faster, Tony. [11.75] Jack: Used to speed glove. [14.05] Jack: Yeah, get one of what Frank's got on. [17.35] Frank: One of them. [18.35] Jack: Yeah. [19.45] Frank: I've got one. [20.15] Frank: I've got one for you. [21.05] Frank: I forgot, I queued this up as well, but nevermind. [25.35] Frank: Hey! [27.05] Tony: Happy birthday! [28.95] Frank: Happy third birthday. [32.45] Frank: How would he go? [34.55] Frank: 156 weeks of coming out here and waffling on about stuff that usually isn't right. [40.75] Tony: Happy third birthday. [47.35] Frank: Okay, let's need that. [48.85] Frank: That's horribly wrong. [50.35] Tony: So pro. [52.15] Jack: Yeah. [53.15] Jack: Hello and welcome everyone. [55.85] Jack: Thank you very much for supporting us and tuning in for our third birthday. [61.05] Jack: Yes, Tony. [62.35] Jack: Only 13 more years before she becomes legal. [66.25] Jack: Tonight we are joined by Andrew slash Frank. [70.15] Jack: Hello. [72.25] Jack: My little Tony. [73.65] Jack: You're such a b****** b****** b******. [77.93] Jack: Thank you to 360. [82.83] Dom: Hi. [83.63] Dom: Hi. [86.13] Tony: You keep that going all the time. [88.03] Dom: You don't know about Tony's cock. [93.23] Jack: And best or last, my little best friend for life, Curry Ginn. [101.13] Jack: Hello. [103.03] (squeaky voices): Best friends. [104.93] Jack: And I'm fighting till I fly. [109.23] Jack: The thing is, Dom will be joining us in another 19 minutes. [114.43] Jack: I posted a link to painless, so hopefully he'll be on later. [119.63] Jack: And obviously, of course, I've got to leave Curry Ginn for last. [124.83] Jack: Because, you know, best for last. [127.43] Jack: Special place in my, I think he's coming down to see me tomorrow. [132.03] Curry: I am. [132.33] Curry: I haven't got an address yet. [133.43] Curry: I'm just going to hang around Brighton. [134.63] Curry: I guess asking where the sailors hang out like you should. [138.63] Frank: You'll find him that way. [142.93] Jack: I'll be eating a different kind of hot dog. [144.93] Frank: And Andy and N.J. couldn't make it tonight. [151.83] Frank: N.J. because he's got, he's off in a different country doing things in his magical, personal private jet and doing the rockstar thing. [164.53] Frank: And Andy's gone out for a birthday. [166.93] Frank: I'm not LDA's birthday either. [168.83] Tony: Yeah, Bo. [170.83] Tony: Andy's not my best friend in it, but now you are, Andy. [173.23] Curry: Only one birthday at a time can exist. [177.13] Jack: Yeah. [178.13] Jack: Now, he said he might join us later, depending on how long we go on for and when he gets out. [183.73] Jack: Good theory. [185.33] Tony: Who was on the actual first ever podcast? [188.13] Tony: It was me. [192.23] Tony: Just Jack. [193.63] Tony: Okay, the second real one. [197.83] Jack: Okay, me, you, someone called Jay. [202.63] Jack: And Nico. [203.93] Jack: Nico. [204.53] Jack: Well, I couldn't get hold of Nico, but I'm in his house. [207.43] Jack: Oh, that's good enough. [211.53] Jack: If you wondered where, see how it says like family there. [217.43] Jack: I've murdered them all. [220.03] Jack: Sorry about that, Nico. [222.03] Jack: That kind of, I used that for my hit list. [226.63] Jack: Sorry. [228.13] Jack: Got the wooden photo over there. [230.73] Jack: So, lovely. [233.53] Jack: I'm looking after a rabbit. [236.23] Tony: God. [237.73] Tony: Poor thing. [238.53] Tony: You can't even look after yourself. [240.83] Jack: Well, all I've got to do is change its batteries. [247.53] Jack: That was. [249.33] Jack: Yeah. [250.73] Frank: We have to remember that no one listening has heard the interview we did last week for [260.63] Frank: drone mag. [261.93] Frank: So, we have to do all of that all over again. [265.83] Curry: Well, you tell the origin story again. [268.43] Curry: It was a little bit freeform, wasn't it? [271.83] Curry: Why? [272.33] Jack: Well, we were in an incredible rush. [280.2] Frank: I mean, well, although maybe we should leave that until Dom's here because he's kind of [285.4] Frank: yeah, integral to the beginning bit and we should probably start at the beginning and work away from there. [290.8] Jack: I know. [291.4] Jack: Yeah, it was. [292.4] Jack: I don't know. [293.1] Jack: It was really strange because like after the show, you know, we've got one of our old hosts, [301.7] Jack: Adam Juniper. [303.1] Jack: He works for drone mag, as do you, Curry Kitten. [308.9] Jack: I don't work for them. [310.1] Jack: Occasionally, I write for them too. [311.7] Jack: Yeah, you write for them. [313.3] Jack: Yeah. [313.5] Jack: All right. [313.8] Jack: You both write for them. [314.7] Jack: I'm sorry. [315.4] Curry: Sorry. [316.8] Curry: It's just like, it's not like they pay us a monthly sort of wage. [321.4] Curry: It's just like, please buy my words and that sort of thing. [325.4] Jack: Yeah. [326.8] Jack: And he decided to do, he was like, have I ever written about Let's Drone Out? [331.7] Jack: And I was like, no. [334.1] Jack: They did once upon a time in a certain issue where they said like, number one UK podcast was Let's Drone Out. [340.5] Jack: And that's where that thing come from. [342.5] Jack: It was just like, were we really number one? [346.5] Tony: It was only one and one of our friends wrote it down. [351.6] Tony: Yeah. [352.1] Tony: Yeah. [352.6] Jack: So all in all, it's like, yeah, bollocks, bias, bias is the word you're looking for. [361.6] Jack: Bias for you. [363.3] Jack: I suppose you can be the best when you're the only UK drone podcast. [368.6] Jack: Exactly. [369.5] Jack: Niche. [371.0] Jack: Right. [371.5] Jack: So if anyone wants to start off at another podcast, please do. [374.6] Frank: I bet there was the IFPV one, right? [378.9] Curry: I've never heard of it. [382.4] Curry: A little bit like when I managed to get a record idea put on FPV lab where I said it's the furthest distance for a 1S brushed quadcopter that must be under 100 mil because I've managed to fly my distance and I now want a record just for that category. [399.4] Curry: Being the best UK only drone related podcast, we're also the only drone related UK podcast. [407.2] Curry: Doesn't matter. [408.2] Curry: They can be exclusive. [409.1] Curry: Who cares? [409.6] Curry: Yeah. [410.1] Frank: I'm still disappointed that we missed out on the, well, we missed out. [414.2] Frank: Still disappointed. [414.8] Frank: Clinton missed out on the Guinness World Record just because of veganism. [421.67] Frank: We'll get on to that. [422.87] Frank: I'll explain the backstory on that when we get to that part of the story. [428.77] Frank: Don't worry. [429.17] Frank: We'll get there. [430.27] Curry: It's just another thing. [431.27] Curry: Veganism is ruined. [432.87] Tony: Yeah. [435.27] Tony: Do you want me to go? [436.37] Tony: I'll go quite easy. [437.67] Tony: Just go. [439.97] Jack: Back to the hole that he came from. [442.37] Jack: I knew it was that easy. [443.97] Curry: I'd have said it before. [446.37] Jack: There is an actual mute button for him that you can use. [451.07] Jack: So it's fine. [451.97] Jack: Right. [452.27] Jack: So thank God that's over with. [457.07] Jack: Tony, are we going to come back? [459.87] Tony: Only for you, you yessy bastard. [462.67] Jack: He was really milking it then. [464.47] Jack: He was like, you don't actually milk anything. [466.87] Jack: Do you? [467.27] Jack: You see it as cruel. [470.07] Frank: I'm not talking about this. [471.17] Frank: Not from people. [472.67] Frank: It doesn't mind milking people. [474.17] Frank: Humans are okay and you can drink them and eat the humans. [476.87] Tony: Come on. [477.57] Tony: Look, I'd rather talk about the earth being flat than veganism tonight. [481.67] Tony: Come on. [482.47] Jack: I tried to trip Tony and take him to a farm and like getting to milk a cow blindfolded. [488.27] Jack: It was really my penis. [489.47] Frank: Would you try and tell him that he would imagine this wasn't flat? [494.97] Jack: Trust me, this cow's vegan. [497.67] Curry: They all are. [500.17] Curry: There is, if you want to go on a different subject, there is a drone related thing that's popped up today. [505.27] Curry: Well, there is the magic. [508.27] Curry: That's one thing, but there's also the ship storm that has popped up over TBS versus Free Sky now. [513.57] Curry: Have you seen this one? [514.87] Curry: No. [515.77] Curry: Okay, so Free Sky has put out this press release. [519.87] Curry: It's like, we've got some new products. [521.77] Curry: Here's an antenna for the R9 and it looks suspiciously like the, what's the crossfire one called? [527.67] Curry: Immortal T. [528.87] Curry: Exactly like it in terms of TBS then put out a thing saying we are sick of having our intellectual property ripped off and Free Sky copying us. [537.87] Curry: And aside from really slagging it off, they've put an ultimatum to their dealers and said, if you deal in TBS, then you cannot carry. [545.57] Curry: The Free Sky R9 products. [547.47] Curry: If you do, you don't deal with TBS. [549.07] Curry: So it's choose one or the other, which is a pretty bold move. [554.37] Tony: Well, that's Trappie getting out of his prime again, isn't it? [557.07] Curry: He's doing his little thing again. [560.47] Frank: I wonder if that means he's actually concerns that the new R9 system that is going to be better has actually got something to it. [570.77] Tony: Well, he must be stuck in it because he's just up. [574.27] Tony: There's been a new release for the Mini, isn't there? [578.37] Tony: Well, what's our power upage from 100 milliwatt to 250? [583.27] Curry: What they're moaning about is basically saying, well, we did all the R&D on like 868, 915. [592.27] Curry: I don't think to be fair, Free Sky were already a manufacturer, but I don't think anybody would have gone down that frequency if it wasn't the crossfire. [599.17] Curry: And of course, they're putting out those receivers for like $10, making crossfire look quite expensive in comparison. [606.37] Curry: And so they're very upset about that. [608.67] Curry: And you know how Trappie works. [609.67] Curry: Trappie works. [610.17] Curry: So you must have a nemesis to go more than one at any one time. [615.47] Frank: Yeah. [617.37] Curry: Doesn't seem that way a bit. [619.07] Curry: So, oh, yeah, and there was some DJI stuff, but you know, there's always DJI stuff. [624.77] Jack: Didn't it get leaked by the Argos catalog? [626.97] Frank: Yeah, Ash managed to catch that story very early on. [633.37] Frank: Yeah. [634.27] Frank: So, but we now know the prices of things. [636.97] Frank: It's like 1100 quid or something for new Mavic 2's. [642.97] Tony: Well, I wish they'd just make one Mavic with swappable cameras so you can buy, you know, the Zoom or you can put the other camera on. [651.07] Curry: They do, it's called the Inspire. [653.57] Tony: Yes, but I wanted it in Mavic form, not Inspire form because the Inspire, imagine trying to take that bloody thing on all the day. [660.97] Curry: Well, just wait another six months and there'll be another model along shortly. [664.47] Tony: Well, I do love the Inspire and I've always wanted one, but Mavic's just perfect to go on holiday with, isn't it? [671.97] Tony: Plus two bloody versions now. [675.67] Jack: You've got to, you've got to think about it is that they go, you know, Inspire professionals, they're sensible and smart and they can change their own camera. [686.67] Jack: Whereas off the shelf hashtag ruining the hobby people, all camera, small camera, you know, plugs and cables. [696.87] Frank: No, it's not like the Inspire stops ruining the hobby people from buying it. [702.47] Frank: I mean, I've seen a good few. [704.77] Frank: I've seen at least one article, particularly that's in my head, where someone tried to pick the Inspire out the sky, mashed their fingers up and then tried to like, [719.77] Tony: Wasn't that crazy, I saw whatever his name was. [722.77] Curry: Yeah, he tried grabbing it in a concert and got his finger up. [725.77] Frank: No, there was a genuine, like someone bought it and took their mate out and it was struggling because it was windy and they went and tried to grab it. [733.17] Frank: And it was on the top of a cliff as well. [734.97] Frank: And it was just like, who are these people? [738.07] Curry: I did see some story. [739.37] Curry: I think it was a different one. [740.47] Curry: I saw some story where some guy grabbed something and cut him and he's like, there should be a warning. [745.57] Curry: These are dangerous. [746.47] Curry: These could cut your hand. [747.57] Curry: It's like, you don't need a warning. [749.57] Curry: It's got these spinny things. [751.17] Frank: The noise alone should alert you. [754.37] Jack: Yeah, indeed. [756.77] Jack: Who's that? [758.27] Jack: You don't, you don't see like, we've put this guard on your blender. [763.87] Jack: So you can get, there's the blender. [766.77] Jack: We put this guard here so that when you can't put your fingers in it and then they go, oh, yeah, but you can't get the food to it either. [774.37] Jack: It's like, actually safety. [775.67] Jack: That's it. [776.57] Jack: You know, I think, I think, Frank, that's what we should do, print blender guards. [781.37] Jack: It just stops your food from getting to the blender. [785.67] Jack: Why don't we make a blender fly? [788.37] Jack: Well, why don't we? [789.57] Frank: Flying blender. [791.07] Frank: Literally flying blender. [792.67] Curry: Flight test already did it. [794.47] Curry: They did it. [795.97] Curry: It's not just a blend of flying. [797.37] Curry: It was on a plane and they did something. [800.37] Curry: This is really curious. [801.27] Curry: I'm watching myself on Dom's monitor. [803.07] Curry: Yeah. [804.87] Jack: Tony might start masturbating. [807.67] Dom: How are you doing? [809.07] Jack: I'm all right. [809.97] Jack: Sorry. [810.27] Frank: What are you doing now? [810.77] Frank: Thanks, Dom. [811.57] Frank: How are you? [812.47] Dom: I'm not bad. [813.07] Dom: Yeah, sorry, I got a bit delayed by traffic on the way back from my little mission to [817.07] Dom: go and fetch beasts for killing at the weekend, which I'm not going to tell Tony about. [823.07] Tony: I'm just going to leave the birthday party. [826.07] Tony: It's crap. [829.07] Tony: I'm with the bloody owl on and on. [831.87] Jack: Well, three years, huh? [834.27] Jack: I know. [835.27] Jack: That's it for Tony. [836.77] Tony: Three. [837.67] Tony: I'd love to just leave now. [839.67] Tony: I've had enough shit from Jack. [841.27] Tony: Just leave on the third. [842.87] Tony: Yeah, this could be good. [845.67] Dom: Bye. [847.17] Dom: You didn't read the contract, Tony. [848.57] Dom: You can't leave. [851.57] Frank: You can check out, but you may never leave. [854.17] Jack: He'll never get a thousand subscribers if he leaves. [858.97] Dom: So what's going on in Planet Drones at the moment then, folks? [861.47] Dom: Are we still allowed to fly anywhere? [863.17] Jack: If Tony leaves, everyone will... [867.37] Jack: I'll make everyone unsubscribe from him. [872.37] Jack: I don't know whether we're allowed to fly. [877.37] Jack: Have they banned it yet or not? [878.87] Frank: We're allowed to fly at 400 feet exactly one kilometer away from an airport. [885.37] Frank: That's perfectly legal, apparently. [887.87] Frank: Just that? [889.37] Frank: Well, yes, that's the only place. [891.37] Dom: Not a thousand and one meters away, that's it. [893.87] Frank: Not 300 feet, not 200 feet, not 200 feet away. [896.87] Curry: A perfect circle around the airport at 1km, that's it. [900.37] Curry: Perfect. [902.37] Frank: I did see something interesting though, [904.37] Frank: because I did a deep dive on all the new stuff. [907.37] Frank: I did a video with Painless last night, so that'll be out over the weekend. [912.37] Frank: Particularly, this consultation is out. [916.37] Frank: Everyone, please go through it. [919.37] Frank: I've been thinking, actually, would it help people if we had a video [925.37] Frank: of just going through the consultation at some point? [928.87] Curry: That is a long, long video, that would be. [931.87] Curry: I went through it last night and it was like, oh, God. [934.87] Frank: Yeah, but just to have in the background to be like, [937.87] Frank: click this button, I don't know. [940.87] Frank: Something I'm thinking about. Anyway. [942.87] Dom: Didn't Mr Dale do one? [944.87] Frank: Well, he said, please fill it out. [946.87] Frank: I'm just thinking it might be easier, [948.87] Frank: because they've produced a documentation to be like, [951.37] Frank: this is how you need to answer it. [953.87] Frank: And I'm just thinking that's a big, long document, people mind. [957.37] Tony: You can stop halfway through, though, can't you, and come back to it? [960.87] Frank: I can't remember. [961.87] Curry: I noticed there was the BMFA have put their own, [964.87] Curry: here's our document, here's how we would answer, [967.37] Curry: if you want that as a guide as well. [969.87] Frank: Okay. [970.87] Frank: Can't we just copy and paste off someone? [972.87] Frank: No, you must not copy and paste. [974.87] Frank: If you copy and paste, it will be ignored. [977.87] Frank: Any duplicates of answers, they will just consider as one answer. [981.87] Frank: So don't do that. [983.37] Tony: Don't do that, people. [985.37] Frank: Answer the way you think they're suggesting, [990.37] Frank: but in your own words is my recommendation. [993.37] Frank: But please do it. [994.37] Frank: But answers would be in mind, quite a lot. [996.37] Frank: Well, that might not help. [998.37] Curry: I have to say, having done it last night, [1000.37] Curry: I would say, absolutely try best that the problem with it [1003.37] Curry: is that the questions sometimes lack the necessary detail to provide the answer. [1009.37] Curry: So often you have to write the answer saying, [1013.87] Curry: if this is the case, then that's reasonable. [1015.87] Curry: If it's not, then you have to do this, this and this. [1017.87] Curry: So it's like, you haven't given us really enough to say yes or no. [1020.87] Curry: So you end up writing essay style answers to all the questions, [1024.87] Curry: which is why it takes so long. [1026.87] Curry: But yeah, you get through it in the end. [1028.87] Curry: There was a few cut and paste from me, [1030.87] Curry: which was, this is not necessary because, [1033.87] Curry: I was like, I'll just place it in here and here [1035.87] Curry: because it's the same answer again. [1037.87] Frank: You can copy and paste your own stuff, that's fine. [1039.87] Frank: Just don't copy and paste anyone else's. [1043.37] Frank: Because that will be wasting your time, [1046.37] Frank: because it won't be looked into. [1048.37] Dom: Isn't this, it sounded like it was a consultation after the fact though. [1051.37] Frank: It's, so what it is, is they put the legal kind of constructs there [1059.37] Frank: for registration and everything else that's going, [1063.37] Frank: that they want to implement, [1065.37] Frank: but they don't actually have a plan for implementing it. [1068.37] Frank: So now they're doing the consultation to be like, [1070.87] Frank: okay, we've said we're going to do this. [1072.87] Frank: How do we do that? [1074.87] Frank: What do you think is the best way? [1076.87] Frank: Should we do it this way? [1077.87] Frank: Should we do it that way? [1079.87] Frank: So it's about trying to make sure [1081.87] Frank: that they actually implement it in a sensible way [1085.87] Frank: that isn't going to be a complete and atabolic. [1089.87] Dom: There's a lot of the media that I'd sort of picked up on [1091.87] Dom: just almost in sort of punter mode, [1094.87] Dom: just given the impression that all these decisions [1096.87] Dom: are already being laid out, factizing that was that, [1099.37] Dom: and presumably that. [1101.37] Dom: Right, and then, so I can still fly to a thousand feet then can I? [1105.37] Frank: Oh no, so the 400 foot limit is in place, [1111.37] Frank: but if you're a member of the BMFA or FPV UK [1114.37] Frank: or the Large Motor Flying Association [1116.37] Frank: or the Scottish Motor Flying Association, [1119.37] Frank: it's got a different acronym, [1121.37] Frank: but any of the big UK model associations, [1125.37] Frank: you can fly line of sight or FPV up to a thousand feet [1129.87] Frank: as long as it's not a multi-rotor. [1133.87] Frank: Yeah, don't get into that. [1136.87] Tony: So let's blow stuff up with aeroplanes instead. [1140.87] Tony: Yeah, let's fly to your airport for aeroplanes. [1143.87] Dom: Does that mean twin prop aeroplanes can't fly as well? [1146.87] Frank: If they're prop hanging, then that's wrong. [1150.87] Frank: You're not allowed to do that. [1152.37] Frank: It's multiple rotors for vertical thrust or something, [1154.87] Frank: isn't it? [1155.87] Frank: It's for lift, for lifting rotors, yes. [1158.87] Curry: Helis? [1159.87] Curry: Helis have only got one rotor for lift. [1161.87] Curry: The other rotor is for a coaxial. [1163.87] Frank: Then, yeah, then, you know, it could be a two with a coaxial [1167.87] Frank: or it could be a Chinook or something, [1169.87] Frank: but yeah, then, yeah, you're limited to the 400 feet. [1172.87] Dom: So Leonardo da Vinci is... [1174.87] Dom: Yeah, but yeah, it's... [1176.87] Dom: Sorry, sorry, family showing that, yeah. [1179.87] Tony: It's not, it's just Jack's the editor now and he can't... [1184.87] Dom: Oh, that's why he's combing his hair. [1186.87] Dom: A bit of Vidal Sassoon in your room there, Jack. [1189.87] Jack: Yep. [1190.87] Jack: Well, that's it. [1191.87] Jack: I thought I'd brush my hair and make myself look [1194.87] Jack: like a pretty princess for Tony. [1197.87] Tony: There's Andy! [1199.87] Tony: Hello, darling. [1201.87] Tony: Andy's half-naked for all the viewers, well done. [1204.87] Jack: Yeah, he's got his titties out for the lads. [1209.87] AndyRC: Is it your actual birthday as well? [1213.87] AndyRC: I'm not at liberty to say because I don't like a fuss. [1217.87] AndyRC: I made the whole thing up. [1219.87] AndyRC: Happy birthday. [1220.87] AndyRC: Happy birthday. [1221.87] AndyRC: That's definitely, yes, isn't it? [1224.87] Jack: Yeah. [1225.87] AndyRC: I hate a fuss and I hate birthdays, but isn't it funny [1228.87] AndyRC: how my birthday lands on your birthday? [1231.87] Jack: How comes you're not eating dinner? [1237.87] AndyRC: It's already been done, dung-dusted. [1241.87] Curry: Up north they eat tea about four-ish. [1244.87] Curry: Oh, yeah. [1245.87] Curry: You used the words too. [1248.87] AndyRC: You have to remember we're two hours ahead. [1254.87] Tony: Well, at least we could do... [1256.87] Tony: Andy, I'll say you're northern tonight. [1259.87] AndyRC: Oh, man. [1260.87] AndyRC: Oh, I just can't wait. [1263.87] AndyRC: Thank you. [1264.87] Frank: Yep. [1265.87] AndyRC: Are you still my best friend? [1267.87] AndyRC: Yeah. [1268.87] AndyRC: Well, I would like to think so, Tony. [1270.87] AndyRC: What have you guys been talking about? [1273.87] Frank: Well, up to now, we've been telling people [1276.87] Frank: they should go away and fill in the consultation [1279.87] Frank: and try and make sure that they don't... [1282.87] Frank: When they're implementing the laws that they wrote in May, [1286.87] Frank: that it makes sense. [1288.87] Frank: They do it in a sensible way. [1290.87] AndyRC: Oh, is that what it's about? [1291.87] AndyRC: Yeah, Lee sent me a link to it and I just completely... [1294.87] AndyRC: And so I snowed under. [1297.87] AndyRC: I really should have looked into it. [1300.87] AndyRC: So it's sort of like an open letter for us to have a say, is it? [1305.87] Frank: So it's a survey being put out by the people [1308.87] Frank: who are writing the legislation to say, [1312.87] Frank: we've put the rule saying we're going to have some kind [1316.87] Frank: of registration at the end of next year. [1320.87] Frank: How do we do that? [1323.87] Frank: And so then they're asking us how that should work [1326.87] Frank: and actually making up the details. [1329.87] Frank: But yes. [1330.87] AndyRC: It's kind of good in a way, [1333.87] AndyRC: but it's scary in another way that they just completely [1337.87] AndyRC: haven't got a clue. [1339.87] AndyRC: Do you know what I mean? [1341.87] AndyRC: Again, I've always said this. [1343.87] AndyRC: The technology is ahead of the regulations [1346.87] AndyRC: and they still don't know what to do about it. [1350.87] AndyRC: On the launch of the Mavic 2, are you all going to get a Mavic 2? [1354.87] AndyRC: I'm not. [1355.87] Tony: It does look nice. [1356.87] Tony: What one would you get if you did? [1358.87] AndyRC: I would 100% get the Zoom [1360.87] AndyRC: because I don't see the point of the other one. [1363.87] AndyRC: It's got a bigger sensor. [1364.87] AndyRC: Yeah, fair enough. [1365.87] AndyRC: But I would tell everyone to go and watch Casey Neistat's video [1371.87] AndyRC: because he showed the Zoom. [1373.87] AndyRC: And it said it was only going to be a two-time Zoom, [1375.87] AndyRC: but I tell you what, that Zoom, [1378.87] AndyRC: it just makes it look amazing. [1380.87] Tony: You could just fly closer. [1382.87] Curry: I like that dolly Zoom effect. [1384.87] Curry: It doesn't zoom. [1387.87] Curry: It just gives you the impression that the background is moving. [1390.87] Curry: No, the Jaws effect. [1392.87] AndyRC: No, no, no, not Jaws. [1394.87] AndyRC: It's called the Hitchcock shot. [1396.87] AndyRC: So you fly the copter backwards while zooming in [1400.87] AndyRC: and it gives a sort of distorted effect. [1404.87] AndyRC: But yeah, it's funny. [1405.87] AndyRC: It's funny you say that. [1406.87] AndyRC: I watch Jaws. [1407.87] AndyRC: They use it on Jaws, don't they, when they sort of zoom in? [1410.87] AndyRC: But it's sort of like the camera... [1412.87] Curry: Yeah, it's Rob Schneider's face, [1413.87] Curry: and then they do the Zoom on him [1415.87] Curry: where the background comes out or something, isn't it? [1417.87] AndyRC: I believe it's called the Hitchcock shot, [1419.87] AndyRC: but I could be wrong. [1420.87] AndyRC: That's why I've been told. [1421.87] AndyRC: But yes, I would go for the Zoom. [1423.87] AndyRC: I don't see the point of the other one. [1425.87] AndyRC: It just looks like more, you know, just making money. [1429.87] Curry: The plush people that can't afford Hasselblad's in the other way. [1432.87] AndyRC: Yeah. [1433.87] AndyRC: But I like the idea of the Zoom, though. [1436.87] AndyRC: Yeah, so I will probably get that one, [1438.87] AndyRC: but I'm probably not going to get any of them at the moment [1441.87] AndyRC: because I just think DJI messing around. [1444.87] AndyRC: I don't know. [1445.87] Tony: They've made it a little bit better. [1447.87] Tony: It's got sensors all around, so it can't crash at all now, [1451.87] Tony: surely, even if you're flying backwards. [1453.87] Tony: I like the sound of the hyperlapse while it's moving [1458.87] Tony: from one point to another on your map. [1460.87] Tony: So if you had a city shot, you could press hyperlapse [1465.87] Tony: and say you want it to go from that point to that point, [1468.87] Tony: and it will slowly feel in the hyperlapse as well [1471.87] Tony: and move around. [1472.87] Tony: So it looks like a really interesting... [1475.87] AndyRC: I was kind of hoping, I was kind of hoping [1478.87] AndyRC: that we're going to change the form factor a bit, though, [1480.87] AndyRC: if I'm honest, because I got the Mavic Air, [1483.87] AndyRC: which just looks like it just looks so much better. [1487.87] AndyRC: You've got the whole gimbal system. [1490.87] AndyRC: It's just so more refined. [1492.87] AndyRC: The entire copter is tiny and smaller and looks more modern, [1496.87] AndyRC: but then you look at this, [1497.87] AndyRC: and then when you compare that to the Mavic One, [1499.87] AndyRC: the Mavic One looks a little bit dated and old, [1502.87] AndyRC: but then the Mavic Two, they haven't changed any of that. [1506.87] AndyRC: You've still got the horrible... [1508.87] Tony: The front looks a bit different. [1510.87] AndyRC: Yeah, but you've still got the horrible plastic thing [1512.87] AndyRC: that's really difficult to connect, [1514.87] AndyRC: and I don't know. [1516.87] AndyRC: I kind of feel like... [1517.87] Tony: I just wish they had one of them [1519.87] Tony: and had the camera so you could change. [1522.87] AndyRC: Yeah, no, I think that's a good idea, [1524.87] AndyRC: but DJI, I don't want to maximise that. [1526.87] AndyRC: I also do. [1527.87] AndyRC: They're on top of the game. [1529.87] AndyRC: They're ahead of everyone else, [1531.87] AndyRC: and they're just... [1532.87] AndyRC: Even with this zoom system, [1534.87] AndyRC: I think they've got more... [1536.87] AndyRC: They're probably three drones ahead at this point. [1539.87] AndyRC: That's kind of how I feel. [1540.87] AndyRC: You know, this Mavic Two, [1544.87] AndyRC: that the zoom thing is a nice thing, [1546.87] AndyRC: but really, they're not doing anything new. [1549.87] AndyRC: If you go back to the Inspire One, it did all that. [1552.87] AndyRC: So I think they just know that they're ahead of the game, [1556.87] AndyRC: they're on top of the market, [1558.87] AndyRC: and they're sitting on a bunch of stuff. [1560.87] AndyRC: Just give it to us, I say. [1562.87] Tony: It's called Contra Zoom, apparently. [1565.87] Tony: All right. [1566.87] Tony: Thanks, Ed. [1571.82] Frank: Yes. [1573.82] Frank: We've dangerously flown into actually talking about drones. [1578.82] Tony: Flown? [1579.82] Tony: No, we need to talk about normal. [1581.82] AndyRC: I was all flown in there. [1583.82] AndyRC: You may have already done this, [1585.82] AndyRC: but I thought what you guys were doing last week, [1587.82] AndyRC: talking about the history of the show, [1589.82] AndyRC: was like, let's do that. [1592.82] Curry: Yeah, well, Dom's here now. [1593.82] Curry: We can do that. [1594.82] AndyRC: Yes. [1595.82] AndyRC: Right, so how did Let's Drone Out start, [1596.82] AndyRC: and how did each member turn out? [1598.82] Dom: Let's talk about Steam. [1600.82] Dom: Yes. [1602.82] Dom: I got all Steam recently. [1604.82] AndyRC: I bought Ground Theft Auto and Liftoff Steam. [1607.82] Dom: That's all I know about Steam. [1609.82] Dom: No, not that Steam. [1610.82] Dom: No, no, no. [1611.82] Dom: Pre-millennial Steam. [1613.82] Dom: Not millennial. [1615.82] Curry: Oh, shut up, you baby boomer. [1617.82] Dom: Who wants to do a Steam powered drone? [1619.82] Dom: I'm as Daniel, apparently. [1620.82] Dom: Oh, yeah. [1622.82] Dom: Steam powered drone would be awesome. [1624.82] Dom: A little bit heavy, Pat. [1625.82] AndyRC: I believe that's called the KK2, isn't it, the Steam power? [1629.82] AndyRC: Yeah. [1630.82] AndyRC: Don't be right. [1631.82] Dom: The CC3D. [1632.82] Dom: Can I smoke on this show? [1633.82] Dom: Is it a family show? [1634.82] Dom: Yeah, yeah, it's fine. [1635.82] Dom: All right, cool. [1637.82] Frank: Jack and Dom, do you want to take us [1641.82] Frank: back through the wibbly-wobbly transition back to 2015? [1645.82] AndyRC: Take us on a journey, a drone. [1647.82] AndyRC: It's Dom's fault, I blame Dom. [1650.82] Dom: I blame Jack. [1655.82] Dom: So he was in a bin, weren't you, Jack? [1656.82] Dom: I found you in a bin, nicking Tim's Vicodin. [1661.82] Dom: Different me with Viagra. [1665.82] Dom: Do you want an unpaid job? [1666.82] Dom: You and Tim's been nicking his Viagra? [1668.82] Dom: That's weird. [1669.82] Dom: Yeah. [1670.82] Dom: You didn't tell me about it. [1671.82] Dom: I thought you didn't know him. [1673.82] Dom: No, it's patience zero, ain't it? [1676.82] Dom: It was possibly, it was a mini air show. [1678.82] Dom: Was that this? [1679.82] Dom: 2015, 2014 was a mini air show, wasn't it? [1681.82] Dom: Yeah, man. [1682.82] Dom: That's when I first met you. [1684.82] Dom: Yeah. [1685.82] Dom: And people were sticking to Jack like, well, [1688.82] Dom: like you were covered in super glue or something. [1690.82] Dom: It was a bit weird. [1691.82] AndyRC: And did Andy organize the first one of that then? [1693.82] Frank: No, that was Dom. [1695.82] Frank: That was Dom's fault as well. [1698.82] Jack: Andrew still had his common sense then. [1702.82] Jack: He had a lot more hair. [1705.82] Jack: He was a lot less stressed out. [1708.82] Jack: I think he still worked for the Ministry of Defence, [1712.82] Jack: didn't you, back then? [1714.82] Frank: No, that would be 2011. [1720.82] Jack: No. [1722.82] Jack: And I showed up and I was like, can we still race? [1728.82] Dom: Possibly the second race in the UK, [1732.82] Dom: because I think the East Grinstead one. [1735.82] Dom: What's his name? [1737.82] Frank: I don't know. [1738.82] Frank: Greer. [1739.82] Dom: Greer Thomas put it on. [1740.82] Dom: Yeah. [1741.82] Frank: That was a fun one. [1743.82] Frank: That was where I first met Jack and... [1746.82] Frank: No, that was after. [1748.82] Frank: Really? [1749.82] Frank: Oh, that was a second one. [1751.82] Dom: Yeah, there was a little... [1752.82] Dom: No, they did a little thing with that polo. [1754.82] Dom: Simon did a little tester just to get his gates out there. [1758.82] Dom: What was it called? [1760.82] Dom: The polo pitch down in West Sussex. [1764.82] Jack: Wasn't that Cowdery Park or something? [1766.82] Dom: Yeah, he did a little tester race down there. [1769.82] Dom: And then... [1771.82] Dom: Oh, I can't remember the order. [1773.82] Dom: That was such a muddled year. [1774.82] Dom: And then we did the Mini Air Show in the sleet in... [1777.82] Dom: What was it? [1778.82] Dom: Because it was David and Sarah O'Neill, wasn't it? [1781.82] Dom: Yeah. [1782.82] Dom: And that was... [1784.82] Dom: So I'd started throwing at the end of... [1786.82] Dom: 14, 13. [1788.82] Dom: Jesus. [1790.82] Dom: Scary, isn't it? [1792.82] Dom: Long time ago. [1793.82] Dom: How weird. [1794.82] Dom: Tony had hair. [1796.82] Jack: I did. [1797.82] Jack: No. [1798.82] Jack: He lost his hair at BC, I think. [1802.82] Tony: No, it's when I f***ing met you. [1805.82] Jack: I'm going to get a wine. [1807.82] Dom: How many... [1808.82] AndyRC: How many did the test have been finished? [1810.82] Dom: You see, I've got a beer fridge in my office now, [1812.82] Dom: so I don't need to go anywhere to get beer. [1814.82] AndyRC: How many years ago is this? [1815.82] AndyRC: Are we talking, by the way, the first... [1817.82] AndyRC: This meetup? [1818.82] Jack: Well, I think the dinosaurs died there. [1821.82] Jack: Hang on. [1822.82] Jack: I've still got all the websites. [1824.82] Jack: Just a minute. [1825.82] Jack: Before or after the meetup? [1829.82] AndyRC: Richard Warwick's asking how old I am, [1832.82] AndyRC: so what are all your answers? [1834.82] AndyRC: Twelve. [1836.82] AndyRC: Keep your hands off him. [1839.82] AndyRC: Thirty-six. [1841.82] AndyRC: Nine. [1842.82] AndyRC: Now I'm offended, Wayne. [1845.82] Jack: I think he's 35. [1846.82] AndyRC: Jack knows that because I told him today on the phone. [1850.82] Curry: You're already 35. [1851.82] Curry: I thought it was your birthday, David. [1853.82] Curry: That's your 36. [1854.82] AndyRC: Well, I do this thing where I get myself ready for the next age. [1860.82] AndyRC: So for the last year, I've been telling people that I'm 35. [1865.82] AndyRC: When I do get to 35, I'm used to it. [1869.82] AndyRC: So now I'll tell people I'm 36, but I'm actually 35. [1875.82] Curry: That's massively weird. [1877.82] AndyRC: I've got some problems up here, I think. [1881.82] Tony: Who hasn't on this podcast? [1883.82] Tony: That's why we are here. [1885.82] AndyRC: It's self-travel, isn't it? [1887.82] AndyRC: Can I screen share? [1888.82] Dom: Hold on a minute. [1889.82] Dom: Let me screen share a second. [1890.82] Dom: Excuse the video feedback. [1892.82] Dom: There you go. [1893.82] Dom: This will bring back some memories. [1898.82] AndyRC: No, no. [1899.82] AndyRC: Have you got that? [1900.82] AndyRC: Can I just say what people are putting in the chat is really upsetting. [1906.82] AndyRC: 22, 37, 35. [1911.82] AndyRC: Same age as Bani, someone has said. [1914.82] AndyRC: Fight of 70. [1915.82] Jack: He was on the one show yesterday. [1918.82] AndyRC: Bani was. [1919.82] AndyRC: Yeah. [1920.82] Dom: That's what I need to do. [1921.82] Dom: There we go. [1922.82] Dom: That's weird. [1923.82] Dom: That was freakish. [1924.82] Dom: That'll give you some memories. [1925.82] Dom: That's the play reel from the first Mini Air Show. [1929.82] Jack: Yeah. [1930.82] Dom: Oh, God, there's me. [1931.82] Jack: Look at that. [1933.82] Jack: That's not a drone. [1934.82] Jack: That's a glider. [1935.82] Dom: That was the promotional stuff. [1936.82] Dom: That was the beach clean stuff. [1939.82] Dom: Then we had a load of videos which we showed during the presentation. [1943.82] Jack: Garrett Sayer, I really want to be arrested by the CIA. [1947.82] Dom: This shot was the one, wasn't it? [1951.82] Tony: That's Brian Pierre, isn't it? [1953.82] Tony: Yeah, that's Brian Pierre. [1954.82] Tony: He got well told. [1955.82] Tony: That's not legal. [1957.82] Dom: We were asking him if he wanted to come and actually talk about it. [1960.82] Dom: He was like, I'm not quite sure, but you can show the video. [1962.82] Dom: I've already been told off for it. [1964.82] Dom: That was an awesome video. [1966.82] Dom: There was some great stuff then. [1969.82] Dom: This is when you could fly and people were going, oh, that's exciting. [1974.82] Dom: That's heave a castle. [1977.82] Jack: Yeah, that's not me. [1980.82] Jack: Kai, who used to be on, what was it? [1985.82] Jack: Called some photography YouTube thing. [1988.82] Jack: He flew Digital Rev TV. [1992.82] Jack: Kai, who's left there, he was flying the Mavic to Brighton Beach. [2000.82] AndyRC: You saw him do it? [2002.82] Jack: No, because I don't want to. [2006.82] Jack: No, no. [2008.82] Jack: I was not. [2010.82] Dom: There's probably a few somewhere in this video. [2015.42] AndyRC: I actually met Jack first under Brian Pierre. [2018.42] AndyRC: Some people say it's Weston Park, but it was Brian Pierre. [2022.42] AndyRC: He was jerking off guys for like 10 quid. [2025.42] Tony: Sounds about right. [2027.42] Jack: Look, stop talking. [2029.42] Jack: I promise I won't spit on you having sex later. [2034.42] AndyRC: Well, I'm just going to keep talking then. [2036.42] AndyRC: You don't mind putting that. [2039.42] Tony: Go on, it's gone down real fast. [2041.42] Jack: Good luck getting it in without spit. [2044.42] Tony: All right, come on. [2046.42] Tony: I've got another best friend coming down to see me Saturday. [2057.42] AndyRC: Oh, it's a Joker FPV. [2059.42] Tony: Mikey Dreds come down. [2061.42] Tony: Mikey Dreds coming down to see me. [2063.42] Jack: Great. [2064.42] Jack: More friend stealers. [2066.42] Tony: Hello, Mikey. [2067.42] Tony: See you Saturday. [2069.42] Tony: I might take you around Jack's just so you can lob something at his window [2072.42] Tony: and then we drive on. [2074.42] AndyRC: Well, Adam said he only paid five for Jack. [2078.42] Jack: Good. [2079.42] Jack: I'm not at home anyway, Tony. [2083.42] Jack: I don't know whether you've noticed. [2086.42] Frank: It's so weird how well it worked last week when it wasn't being real. [2092.42] Dom: I'm going to keep switching to some old bits and pieces. [2096.42] AndyRC: Okay. [2097.42] AndyRC: Okay, so let's draw now. [2098.42] Dom: There you go. [2099.42] Dom: That's the original mini air show website, which if you bought tickets, [2101.42] Dom: you would have gone through at some point. [2103.42] Tony: I don't think I was around this original one. [2106.42] Tony: I met the Yeti at East Winston. [2110.42] Tony: Well, actually, I saw the Yeti at East Winston in his natural habitat in the [2114.42] Tony: woods. [2115.42] Tony: That was the first ever race. [2117.42] Frank: I was standing there with a high vis on and getting photographed by Adam. [2121.42] Tony: I met Johnny Banton there and a few others because I remember taking some [2125.42] Tony: beers and just trying to be friends with people by buying everyone beer. [2129.42] Frank: I went along trying to make friends by volunteering. [2133.42] Jack: None of that works. [2135.42] Jack: No. [2136.42] Jack: Turn up. [2137.42] Jack: Insult people. [2139.42] Jack: That's the way to do it. [2141.42] Dom: Jack, I think we started talking about the show at Mini Air Show 2, didn't we? [2145.42] Dom: Oh, man. [2147.42] Dom: I think we were over in Hidden Valley. [2148.42] Dom: I seem to remember what's his name? [2150.42] UNKNOWN: Chet? [2151.42] Dom: Jack? [2152.42] Dom: Jack? [2153.42] Dom: That was it. [2154.42] Dom: Yeah. [2155.42] Dom: You're still sharing your screen. [2156.42] Dom: Am I still sharing my screen? [2157.42] Dom: Sorry. [2158.42] Dom: I can't see that because it just does normal things for me. [2160.42] AndyRC: Ladder's FPV says he needs a shower after this conversation. [2170.42] AndyRC: We apologize. [2171.42] AndyRC: Right. [2172.42] AndyRC: So where did it go from Mini Air Show 1 now? [2174.42] AndyRC: Let's stay on track because this went much better last week. [2178.42] Dom: Then there was Mini Air Show 2. [2181.42] Dom: That's it. [2184.42] Dom: So, more screen share. [2186.42] Dom: Or I can share the link now. [2188.42] Dom: That's fine. [2189.42] Dom: Screen share. [2191.42] Dom: Keratin's gone for a cheeky wank over that. [2194.42] Dom: There we go. [2195.42] Dom: Right. [2196.42] Dom: It's coming back. [2197.42] Dom: Mini Air Show 2 website. [2198.42] Dom: Not that one. [2199.42] Dom: That one. [2201.42] Dom: Babe. [2202.42] Dom: You must remember. [2203.42] Dom: That's got one. [2204.42] Dom: We ended up with a whole series of really good videos of people making their way to it. [2209.42] Jack: Radio C, they don't exist anymore. [2211.42] Jack: Thanks, Trappy. [2212.42] Jack: And First Person View, they don't. [2215.42] Tony: Good old fossil stuff, still. [2217.42] Jack: I know. [2218.42] Jack: You can't sell fossil stuff and TBS stuff. [2222.42] Jack: Sorry. [2225.42] Jack: Oh, I remember all that. [2227.42] Dom: So that was Long Hill Fields. [2229.42] Dom: And I think by the end of that event, there was sort of enough interest that you were talking about doing podcasting. [2235.42] Dom: I got you on the Thursday night show to do some sort of warm-up stuff. [2238.42] Dom: You were like, oh, we could podcast this out. [2240.42] Dom: I think you started off doing a radio podcast just as a clone of... [2245.42] AndyRC: Don't they clone? [2247.42] Dom: Yeah, it was a clone of the Thursday night show set up. [2249.42] Dom: Yeah. [2250.42] Dom: Just taking the format of it. [2252.42] AndyRC: What year was this one, then? [2255.42] Dom: 2015? [2256.42] Dom: Yeah. [2257.42] Frank: So it was... [2258.42] Tony: Oh, that's right. [2259.42] Tony: He's gone. [2260.42] Tony: Bless him. [2261.42] Jack: Yeah, that was another TBS thing. [2263.42] Jack: I think they spelled the name wrong, so they closed that one down. [2267.42] Curry: And this is the one I keep saying, I was there, but I didn't see any of you guys, unfortunately. [2273.42] Tony: Were you... [2274.42] Curry: Did you paint yourself green or something? [2276.42] Curry: I was even there with Sophie, although we did get stuck in traffic. [2279.42] Curry: So we missed a whole bunch of the races, and it was really windy. [2283.42] Frank: We definitely must have been doing the show by this point, because... [2287.42] Frank: Oh, yeah, because you hosted it. [2289.42] Frank: Yeah, we were on the P.A. [2292.42] Frank: There was me and Ed and Jack and... [2295.42] Frank: Yeah. [2296.42] Dom: Yeah. [2297.42] Dom: And the mayor and Ali G. [2298.42] Dom: Yeah. [2299.42] Tony: Yeah. [2300.42] Tony: Fist bump. [2301.42] Dom: That was the moment of the event. [2304.42] Dom: Yeah, it was. [2305.42] Dom: Hold on. [2306.42] Dom: Is that in here? [2307.42] Dom: Yes. [2308.42] Dom: There we go. [2310.42] Tony: It's in Carlos. [2312.42] Dom: Yeah, windy. [2313.42] Dom: Oh, yeah, someone's cutting the grass with the bloody helicopter that was mad. [2317.42] Dom: Not dangerous at all. [2319.42] Dom: There we go. [2320.42] Dom: There's the mayor awarding the prizes. [2324.99] Dom: That looks like it. [2325.99] Dom: She's been swallowing spit with Jack. [2331.99] Jack: I've warmed her up. She's coming on to you. [2334.99] AndyRC: Is that Carlos, then? [2335.99] Tony: Yeah, it wasn't Carlos, yeah. [2337.99] Dom: But then there was a really awesome overnight camp. [2340.99] Dom: And the following day, we went to town... [2343.99] Dom: We went racing. [2345.99] Dom: The first team relay race that we'd done. [2349.99] Tony: Eye drown. [2350.99] Tony: These are going to be days where we look back and think, oh, these are the good old days. [2356.99] Jack: Oh, Tony, you look so old there. [2360.99] Tony: I was 12 here when this was happening. [2363.99] Dom: No. [2364.99] Dom: My expression at the moment is drones have become so marmite since then. [2367.99] Dom: It's so polarized if you go flying. [2372.3] Dom: That was a good race. [2374.3] Tony: Well, I enjoyed that weekend. [2376.3] Jack: I think that was one of the best. [2378.3] Jack: Do you remember when all our videos were there? [2381.3] Tony: Oh, rest in peace in value. I'll be down there next Sunday. [2387.3] Dom: I don't fly anymore, honestly. I've never... [2389.3] Dom: I was going for a walk. [2391.3] Dom: Dan Waring wasn't going flying down there the other day. [2394.3] Dom: And Martin didn't see him and didn't say, you are a naughty boy. [2397.3] Tony: Tony, I had the time to stop you. [2403.3] Jack: He gets very busy when we go down there. [2406.3] Jack: Yeah, it's amazing. [2407.3] Jack: I know. [2409.3] Dom: Oh, God. [2410.3] Dom: And that was using the preview so we could have four cameras up on that big display. [2414.3] Dom: Do you remember that? [2415.3] Dom: Yeah. [2416.3] Dom: That was awesome. [2417.3] Jack: Oh, man. [2418.3] Jack: Do you remember we managed to actually get a lap? [2422.3] Tony: We're all in there somewhere. [2424.3] Dom: That's a Hall of Fame photo of that. [2427.3] Dom: Yep. [2428.3] Dom: That's good. [2429.3] Dom: Oh, man. [2430.3] Dom: And then it was over to Andrew, wasn't it? [2433.3] Dom: You took over from the M03. [2435.3] Dom: Yeah. [2436.3] Dom: Because that nearly cost me my marriage doing that. [2439.3] Dom: I really did. [2440.3] Dom: That was really... [2441.3] Dom: I'm just going to do this little flying thing. [2443.3] Dom: And suddenly it was like, Jesus Christ, that takes a lot of organizing. [2446.3] AndyRC: Did you give up flying then, Dom, as well? [2449.3] Dom: No. [2450.3] Dom: I wanted to just buckle down to running the flying park over the road from... [2454.3] Dom: Let me just stop this from over the road. [2458.3] Dom: Is that still stopped? [2460.3] Dom: No, still feeding back. [2461.3] Dom: There we go. [2462.3] Jack: That's how Tony thinks the world stays afloat, turtles all the way down. [2468.3] AndyRC: Technically, it does him. [2470.3] Curry: Just a quick proof to the Jack that this actually happened. [2474.3] Curry: Can I just show you this picture? [2476.3] Curry: This is me and Sophie, if you could see that, at the show, [2479.3] Curry: proving that we were there and somehow missed you guys. [2483.3] AndyRC: I can't see anything. [2484.3] AndyRC: I can't see anything. [2485.3] Jack: Oh, hang on. [2486.3] Curry: Let's do it. [2487.3] Jack: We've... [2488.3] Jack: Look. [2489.3] Dom: There we are. [2491.3] Dom: That could be anywhere. [2493.3] Dom: That's the first one. [2494.3] Dom: That's Mini-Hairshark One. [2495.3] Curry: No, this is two. [2496.3] Curry: It's actually one. [2498.3] Curry: No, that's definitely one. [2500.3] Curry: I thought one was at the smaller place. [2503.3] Dom: So what happened was we did one at the school, [2506.3] Dom: and we can do that again really easily, but it's costs a higher fee. [2511.3] Dom: And that was when I really realized that the sponsors in the sector... [2516.3] Jack: There I am. [2517.3] Dom: ...were really organic, really. [2520.3] Dom: And really, despite all the news media, [2523.3] Dom: I sort of became really acutely aware that there wasn't going to be enough [2527.3] Dom: sponsorship for it to jump into stadiums and stuff without some IPO, [2532.3] Dom: venture capital type stuff going on. [2534.3] Dom: But actually, at a roots level, what will be here after the hype of an IPO [2538.3] Dom: and so on, what will be here as a hobby in 20 years' time, [2542.3] Dom: I could see it was going to have a sustainability problem [2545.3] Dom: because all the sponsors were basically reselling bits of kit [2549.3] Dom: and marking them up a little bit. [2551.3] Dom: And it was becoming so easy to order direct. [2554.3] Dom: I was like, these guys aren't going to be around. [2556.3] Dom: It took a lot to convince them to do the first two shows. [2560.3] Dom: And as Andrew, I'm sure, will testify that's the biggest problem [2563.3] Dom: in growing the hobby is that grassroots, real organic funding, [2567.3] Dom: which regardless of somebody floating in with a Pepsi sponsorship [2570.3] Dom: or a venture capital firm or an IPO behind them, [2573.3] Dom: what's actually really there for the hobby? [2575.3] Dom: What is an IPO? [2577.3] Dom: Well, when you just lie to the market and say, [2579.3] Dom: you're going to sell a billion drones a minute, [2581.3] Dom: and they go, oh, I can't see anyone else selling drones. [2583.3] Dom: They must be right and put loads of money into it. [2585.3] Dom: And then they have a shitload of money to go and market themselves [2589.3] Dom: into their sector like Unique and DJI and other such companies do. [2594.3] Frank: Pretty much the RL exists. [2597.3] Dom: Yeah, they'll have come out of the back of chip manufacturing money [2600.3] Dom: rather than anything else. [2601.3] Dom: They're looking for where they can put IoT devices out there [2604.3] Dom: and stuff like that. [2605.3] Dom: So it's worthwhile at some level for those big companies [2609.3] Dom: and their business relationships to lose money [2611.3] Dom: doing the research at the high end [2613.3] Dom: and to have a profile in the consumer market. [2615.3] Dom: But actually for people who are going out buying racing stuff [2618.3] Dom: and propellers and bits and pieces, [2621.3] Dom: what was sustainable for Radio C and iDrone [2624.3] Dom: and a first person view three, four years ago [2627.3] Dom: suddenly was just short circuited by direct access to China. [2631.3] Dom: And there's no way to, without adding a huge service element, [2635.3] Dom: there's no way to maintain that business locally. [2638.3] Dom: And I thought, well, there's going to be hard work [2640.3] Dom: and I'm not that knowledgeable about it. [2642.3] Dom: And I've been into flying for three years [2644.3] Dom: and I'm surrounded by people who've been doing it since they were two. [2647.3] Dom: And, you know, Jack fixes my drones, you put it like that. [2654.3] Dom: And I thought I'm not the right person to go and text forward. [2656.3] Dom: I'm not in it enough. [2657.3] Dom: And the missus is saying, you're spending too much time in a field [2660.3] Dom: with lots of weird people who fly drones. [2664.3] Tony: This is mostly men, but I mean, that helps, isn't it? [2669.3] Tony: When you're with a... [2670.3] Dom: There's nothing that makes it worse. [2674.3] Dom: It lacked a Prosecco bar. [2676.3] Dom: If we'd had a Prosecco bar, [2677.3] Dom: it might have changed the dynamic for a lot of us, [2679.3] Dom: but it lacked a Prosecco bar. [2682.3] Frank: We had a bar at the last one, but didn't get enough traffic. [2686.3] Frank: It was in the wrong place, I think. [2688.3] Dom: Fliers drive everywhere as well, so they don't like drinking so much. [2691.3] Dom: I got into flying because I'd stopped drinking beer for three years. [2695.3] Dom: Lasted until the wife said, you're f***ing boring sober. [2701.3] Dom: So I started drinking again and stopped flying as much. [2705.3] AndyRC: It's not a good idea to have a beer and fly either [2709.3] AndyRC: because you will just try the most stupidest things and end up crashing. [2713.3] Tony: I don't think I ever... [2715.3] Tony: Have we ended? [2716.3] Dom: No. [2718.3] Dom: You don't always come back from flying with your drones working though. [2721.3] Dom: I never did. [2723.3] AndyRC: Exactly. [2724.3] AndyRC: There's no footage because the footage gets lost. [2728.3] Dom: The entire thing usually, it's just gone. [2730.3] Dom: Anyway, so I tried to do Hidden Valley [2733.3] Dom: because I thought that would be a bit more steady while we were doing that. [2736.3] Dom: I was like, I want to stay in touch with all the mini air show vibe and all of that. [2739.3] Dom: And actually a good way for me to stay in touch [2741.3] Dom: was actually by coaching Jack to do Let's Drone Out. [2744.3] Dom: So I could just tune in and stay across the sector and stay across the hobby. [2748.3] Dom: Even if I couldn't get out to the races, [2750.3] Dom: I couldn't get out to stuff across the country and to the shows [2754.3] Dom: because I really travel a lot for work anyway. [2757.3] Dom: And to get home and then go, oh, I'm off flying with the boys this weekend [2760.3] Dom: and keeping up with the racing world and what was exciting [2764.3] Dom: was just a bit out of step for me. [2766.3] Dom: So when Jack started doing Let's Drone Out, [2768.3] Dom: I was like, let's throw some resource at him and help him get it running. [2772.3] Dom: And then I can sit and watch it on a weekly basis. [2776.3] AndyRC: So was it always Jack, Tony and yourself then? [2782.3] AndyRC: Were those the three core? [2785.3] Dom: There was Clinton, Jay, there was about 60 members of Hidden Valley [2791.3] Dom: by the end of the whole cycle. [2793.3] Dom: It started during the year of the mini air show too. [2797.3] Dom: Mini air show too was kind of a launch for Hidden Valley [2800.3] Dom: just to make people aware that the place could be flown in. [2803.3] Dom: And the idea was we didn't know how it was going to be responded to by the community, [2808.3] Dom: but we wanted to put in enough structure that if somebody started complaining, [2812.3] Dom: they'd come across us. [2813.3] Dom: So we got in touch with everybody in the local community [2816.3] Dom: and it just became the go-to point to go, oh, we've seen drones. [2821.3] Dom: We'd either like to take part or we'd like to have you all shot [2824.3] Dom: or we'd all like to have you chopped up and fed to pigs or whatever it is. [2828.3] Dom: And again, Hidden Valley was clearly only going to be a small venture [2835.3] Dom: unless we could get some big marketing dollars. [2837.3] Dom: So again, it was worth encouraging Andrew to come do mini air show three down there. [2842.3] Dom: But by then we were already starting to get hit by the dog walkers [2847.3] Dom: and the protectionists who can't deal with change. [2851.3] Dom: And by then I'd lost heart that after a year of fighting Hidden Valley [2855.3] Dom: and really it was heavy, they didn't go at us directly. [2860.3] Dom: They suddenly went at the farm and it was like, what? [2864.3] Dom: You can't do that. That's my mate's farm. [2866.3] Dom: He's been really nice to us. [2867.3] Dom: He's just letting us fly some models and not disturbing anyone. [2871.3] Dom: And guess what? [2872.3] Dom: No one's flying on the beaches. [2874.3] Dom: No one's flying in sort of busy parks and so on. [2879.3] Dom: They're all finding us and coming out and flying with us. [2882.3] Dom: And they wanted it shut down. [2884.3] Dom: So now I think there's drones everywhere and there was a big spike in the police. [2888.3] Dom: As soon as we shut down, there's a big spike in complaints in the area [2891.3] Dom: and they made a big press who got me on about that. [2894.3] Dom: All the BBC stuff was so... [2896.3] Dom: There was never an opportunity to sit down and have this type of conversation [2899.3] Dom: and go, yeah, you know what? [2901.3] Dom: We think it's cool. [2902.3] Dom: We think we're trying not to annoy anyone. [2904.3] Dom: And we think we should have a voice. [2906.3] Dom: Instead, we were demonized as the weirdos with the drones. [2911.3] Dom: And it drove me nuts. [2913.3] Dom: I got really tired of it after a while because you couldn't win in any direction. [2916.3] Dom: I've got so much respect for Simon Dale for keeping up at his level. [2920.3] Dom: And for all of you guys, because you fly the flag, you know, [2923.3] Dom: I think it's awesome that you're still out there. [2926.3] Dom: But I also think it's the right size for what it is. [2929.3] Dom: A webcast of this scale is the right size. [2931.3] Dom: That's how big the community is. [2932.3] Dom: It's not all about growing the community, [2934.3] Dom: but it's about making sure that the community that wants to do it [2937.3] Dom: can go and have fun doing it rather than feel like someone's going to [2941.3] Dom: going to shout at them all the time. [2943.3] Jack: Well, in my strategy... [2945.3] Dom: If I rant over, sorry, Jack, back to you. [2947.3] Jack: What my strategy is to wait for the old coot who, you know, [2953.3] Jack: complain to die, really, and then go fly there when he's dead. [2958.3] Dom: They will. [2959.3] Tony: He's or her. We don't know. [2961.3] Dom: They will, but their spawn will turn up with more efficient ways to take... [2966.3] Dom: I've got my own sneaky feeling that there's actually other plans for that valley [2970.3] Dom: and that the people who are right at the top of the tree [2973.3] Dom: look after things like planning, have other aspirations, [2977.3] Dom: and having a bunch of upstart and a national drone flying centre [2981.3] Dom: in the middle of the valley that they'd like to stuff a road through [2984.3] Dom: or put a village in, there's probably a real extra pain to have. [2989.3] AndyRC: So, did Jack and Tony meet at Mini Airshow? [2992.3] AndyRC: Because this is what I'm most interested in in this show, [2995.3] AndyRC: is the relationship between Jack and Tony [2998.3] AndyRC: and when they both realise that they love to hate each other. [3003.3] AndyRC: Samner's pond. [3005.3] Jack: Yeah. Funny enough, I hated him first. [3012.3] AndyRC: Your position is already starting. [3015.3] Jack: I'll give you that. [3018.3] Jack: He was... He kept crashing. [3021.3] Jack: No. [3023.3] Tony: That's another event. [3025.3] Tony: That's where you're wrong, Jack. I don't crash. [3028.3] Jack: Yeah. [3031.3] Tony: You crash. I was losing antennas that day. [3036.3] Jack: Yeah. [3037.3] Jack: I know that. [3038.3] Jack: His antennas kept ripping out from his... [3042.3] Tony: What was I feeling? [3044.3] Jack: It was an old... [3045.3] Tony: QAV250 with sunny sky motors and... [3050.3] AndyRC: Wait a sec. What summer's pond? Is it an event? [3054.3] AndyRC: A model show. [3056.3] Jack: Yeah. It's basically socks and sandals [3061.3] Jack: who don't like electronics but like painting things with... [3064.3] AndyRC: I would love to be a fly on all of you two meeting and sort of... [3069.3] Jack: It was all right. [3070.3] Jack: I just kind of went up to him. [3073.3] Jack: He just ripped the quad out of my head. [3075.3] Jack: Yeah. I got up. I went over to him. [3077.3] Jack: I just grabbed the quad off him as he was trying to put the connectors back into the D4R2. [3084.3] Jack: I was like, give it... Did I just say give that here or something like that? [3088.3] Tony: No. I patched it and made a netty noise. [3094.3] Curry: To be fair, we've seen you work on electronics before and it's not pretty. [3099.3] Curry: It's just when you see someone like... [3101.3] Curry: You just want to grab it and I'll do it for you. [3106.3] Tony: I can only fly. [3108.3] Jack: It's like trying to get my grandfather to send an email. [3116.3] Jack: Other than doing this and working him like a muppet, there was no real... [3124.3] Jack: I took his quad and then just went up to Frank. [3128.3] Jack: Have you got a glue gun and have you got a heat shrink? [3130.3] Jack: Frank was like, yes, because Frank's organized. [3134.3] Jack: I have everything then. [3135.3] Jack: I know. [3136.3] Jack: He's literally like Bear Grylls. [3142.3] Jack: If he hasn't got it, he'll find it and he's made an escape strategy. [3148.3] Frank: The thing was, I was literally building my first quad then. [3151.3] Frank: Yeah. [3152.3] Jack: That's what I was doing. [3155.3] Jack: If he wanted an N7 nut to wrap wire round for a ferrite core, he had lots of them. [3164.3] Frank: That is literally the quad that I finished building there. [3167.3] Jack: You make me sick. [3168.3] Jack: I don't know who's worse, him or Tony. [3171.3] Frank: Then I had Grylls trying to help me out because it kept on... [3176.3] Frank: It would fly for a bit and then just spazz out and go batshit crazy and smash into the floor. [3183.3] Frank: I'm pretty sure I've set this up correctly. [3185.3] Frank: I don't understand why it's not working. [3187.3] Frank: Then again, I've never made one of these work before, so I'm probably an idiot. [3192.3] Frank: Grylls was like, okay, well, you've probably done this wrong. [3195.3] Frank: No, you've done that right. [3196.3] Frank: You've probably done this wrong. [3197.3] Frank: No, you've done that right. [3198.3] Frank: It was all this kind of thing. [3199.3] Jack: That's where I draw the line with Grylls. [3202.3] Jack: I kind of look for like, okay, how has this gone wrong? [3209.3] Jack: He'll blame you for everything. [3212.3] Jack: Have you done this wrong? [3213.3] Frank: It was just like going through the checklist of is a noob likely to have done wrong [3218.3] Frank: and went through it. [3219.3] Frank: No, it wasn't any of those. [3221.3] Frank: Then it was just a case of, okay, let's see what you get out of this receiver. [3227.3] Frank: It turns out that the DSM protocol, so not DSM 2 or X or anything like that, just DSM 1, [3237.3] Frank: is not very good. [3240.3] Frank: Basically, the radio was terrible. [3243.3] Frank: But somehow, I've been managing to fly a fixed wing with that for a while. [3250.3] Jack: Yeah, you probably thought you were flying it when it was just gliding out of control. [3255.3] Jack: Exactly. [3256.3] Jack: As soon as it would come to crash into the ground, it'd be like, oh, I've still got signal. [3260.3] Jack: Then you'd be like, ooh. [3263.3] Jack: It's like when two mates fly exactly the same plane, and then you land. [3267.3] Jack: You think, oh, that's a really good landing. [3269.3] Jack: Then the other guy goes and picks it up. [3272.3] Jack: You're like, oh, dear. [3274.3] Frank: I've just been managing to fly that plane by having like five inputs every minute. [3282.3] Frank: I've just been in there to keep it vaguely appearing to be controlled. [3288.3] Frank: But yeah, with the quad, that wasn't good enough. [3292.3] Frank: So I had to then go and buy a Tryonist and all of that kind of stuff. [3296.3] Frank: Okay. [3297.3] AndyRC: That looks new, perfectly. [3298.3] AndyRC: Okay, so we know how Tony, Jack, and Andy met. [3302.3] AndyRC: But how did Jack and Tony stay in contact, and has Jack ever kissed Tony on the lips? [3311.3] Jack: Not yet. [3312.3] AndyRC: He's licked my face, and there's a picture of that. [3316.3] Jack: Tony, basically, if you ever want to phone Tony, this is Tony's phone number. [3322.3] Jack: Oh, seven, five, five, five, five, five, five, five, five. [3332.3] AndyRC: It's like an alumna, illuminati phone number, I think. [3338.3] AndyRC: What the hell is with that? [3340.3] AndyRC: I asked Tony for his number, and I said, that's not a number. [3345.3] AndyRC: It's entirely 999. [3349.3] Jack: He was like one of the first people to sign up for a mobile phone. [3355.3] Jack: We all know that that's true. [3357.3] Jack: So what's my number? [3360.3] Jack: And they slid a bit of paper, and he's like, no, no, no. [3363.3] Jack: That's not my number. [3365.3] Jack: And then slid it back, and was like, I'm very dyslexic. [3370.3] Jack: That's exactly right, Jack. [3372.3] Jack: Keep going. [3373.3] Jack: It showed his bank statement or something. [3377.3] Tony: I held my hand up and said, one, two, three, four, five. [3381.3] Tony: Can you do that? [3383.3] Jack: And they were like, right, so all numbers begin with 07. [3389.3] Jack: You can't do anything about that. [3394.3] Jack: And then they had to teach him how to count to five. [3397.3] Jack: There's a fatal flaw, Jack. [3401.3] Tony: The funniest thing is, I've been offered over £1000 for that number. [3407.3] Dom: There's a fatal flaw in your plan, Jack. [3409.3] Dom: What? [3411.3] Dom: They didn't used to begin with 07. [3413.3] Dom: He'd have had to just have 055555555. [3419.3] Dom: He's a second generation. [3421.3] AndyRC: I'll tell you now, it's pretty close to that. [3423.3] AndyRC: A Sith lizard. [3424.3] AndyRC: I'm afraid to call it just because I don't think it's real. [3428.3] Jack: I know. [3429.3] Jack: I was like, what? [3431.3] Jack: I've been offered a lot of money for that. [3434.3] Tony: I've turned it down. [3436.3] AndyRC: Good for you, Tony. [3437.3] Tony: Oh, I want that number. [3439.3] Tony: I'm keeping it. [3440.3] AndyRC: So when was the first kiss? [3442.3] Tony: I don't think it's ever that yes, he's ever got that close [3445.3] Tony: because I would have probably given him an uppercut. [3448.3] Jack: He gave me a really intimate cuddle, [3451.3] Jack: but only when his pump stopped working. [3456.3] AndyRC: What kind of pump? [3461.3] Jack: You know, like Austin Powers. [3463.3] AndyRC: Is it one of those where you pump the balls and it blows up the dink? [3468.3] Jack: No. [3470.3] Jack: Bottle rocket. [3472.3] Jack: Leaved. [3474.3] Jack: Squat over it. [3478.3] AndyRC: I'm so glad that I joined this trio. [3481.3] Jack: Thanks, Bestie. [3484.3] Jack: Basically, it wouldn't pump the hot water around his fan and it froze. [3491.3] Jack: It blew a valve cover off it and I had to take his thing apart, [3500.3] Jack: go upstairs, get the anvil out and the vice. [3504.3] Jack: There's a lot of... [3507.3] Jack: Yeah. [3508.3] Jack: Bang it back into shape, if you know what I mean. [3511.3] AndyRC: And they had a little cuddle at the end. [3513.3] Jack: And he was so... [3514.3] Jack: I opened to marry... [3516.3] Jack: Yeah. [3517.3] Jack: So unfortunately, like he's met a new girlfriend, [3520.3] Jack: which I'm deeply distraught about. [3522.3] Jack: Thanks, Danny. [3524.3] AndyRC: But he... [3526.3] Jack: Yeah. [3528.3] Jack: He's not allowed to marry anyone until he marries me first. [3532.3] Jack: I did promise you, didn't I? [3534.3] Tony: If you get this working, I'll marry you. [3536.3] Tony: And you did get it working and I gave you a big hug and I think... [3539.3] Jack: He nearly kissed me. [3541.3] Jack: He was like, oh... [3543.3] Jack: Because he was worried about having to import Smuggle 1 from the Danish or something. [3549.3] AndyRC: When you guys hugged, when you guys hugged, did anything unfold? [3553.3] Jack: I got a semi. [3555.3] Jack: That's what you meant. [3557.3] AndyRC: I didn't. [3561.3] AndyRC: That's all my questions. [3563.3] AndyRC: Thanks, Frank. [3565.3] Jack: I'm glad. [3566.3] Jack: I'm dreading the day. [3568.3] Jack: Things happen in popularity. [3571.3] Jack: Because at the moment, at first, we were like two viewers. [3576.3] Jack: And then it went to nine for ages. [3579.3] Jack: And then it hovered around the 30s. [3582.3] Jack: Just say not. [3584.3] Jack: No, nine. [3585.3] AndyRC: Well, now you've got 60 viewers listening about you two having a moment. [3591.3] AndyRC: You're both unfolding, you're touching each other. [3594.3] Jack: Yeah, that's it. [3595.3] Jack: I do apologise to everyone. [3597.3] Jack: Eventually, we'll either do something wrong and then people will be like, oh, my God. [3602.3] Jack: That Andy R. C. is actually a racist. [3605.3] Jack: Or Tony is a homophobe. [3609.3] Jack: That's what he's about. [3611.3] Jack: Yeah, he's a fender. [3617.3] Jack: And then it will just plummet the show or it will grow. [3622.3] Jack: And then it won't be like... [3624.3] Jack: You will understand this. [3626.3] Jack: But in terms that you can understand, when you get a CD of a band that's really good [3631.3] Jack: and you feel like you're the only one who's smart enough to realise that [3635.3] Jack: and they're your band and they're undiscovered and then they become mainstream, [3640.3] Jack: we're that undiscovered, shit, alright band. [3645.3] AndyRC: Well, can I just say, since we started talking about things unfolding, [3649.3] AndyRC: we've had four more viewers. [3651.3] Jack: Oh, wicked. [3653.3] Jack: More sex talk. [3655.3] Jack: Yeah. [3656.3] Jack: And basically, then what happens is when you get really big, [3660.3] Jack: then the scandal starts coming out. [3664.3] Jack: Or if everyone really loves you, the worst is fan fiction. [3671.3] Jack: And that's what I've read the most. [3674.3] Jack: We need some Tony fan fiction. [3676.3] AndyRC: I think I've written a lot of that fan fiction, definitely. [3680.3] Jack: Because you know what will happen? [3682.3] Jack: If someone writes fan fiction, then we'll read it out on the show. [3687.3] Dom: Is this like the Barbara Cartland of you and Tony sort of dancing across the moors? [3692.3] Jack: Well, I can just kind of imagine it. [3694.3] Jack: Jack got his large tool out of his box. [3698.3] Dom: I was trying to take it away from that. [3702.3] Jack: Titans Tony's nuts with Geordie or something, I don't know. [3708.3] Frank: Just quickly, because we're getting... [3711.3] AndyRC: Thank you. No, thank you. [3713.3] AndyRC: We're at the hour mark and we're like 1% into the story. [3717.3] Jack: Yeah, we need to finish the story. [3720.3] Frank: Just before we get back into the story, [3723.3] Frank: shall we draw some names out of a hat? [3726.3] Frank: Yeah. [3727.3] Tony: Can I do a shout out to everyone who's in the hat? [3730.3] Tony: Yes, we do. [3731.3] Tony: Quinn Davis, hello. [3732.3] Tony: Yo, Adams. [3733.3] Tony: RC dude. [3734.3] Tony: Under fluke. [3735.3] Tony: What's up, brother? [3736.3] Tony: Double A's in there. [3737.3] Tony: Art Faulkner's in there. [3739.3] Tony: Peter Marshall. [3740.3] Tony: Falling with style. [3741.3] Tony: Luke, hello. [3742.3] Tony: Mikey Dreds in the chat field. [3744.3] Tony: Have you had Art on the show? [3745.3] Jack: Did you headbutt? [3747.3] Jack: What? [3748.3] Jack: Oh, falling with style. [3750.3] Jack: That's funny. [3751.3] Jack: Did you bump heads? [3753.3] Dom: Has Art ever been on the Let's Drone out? [3755.3] Jack: No. [3756.3] Jack: Oh, get Art on. [3757.3] Jack: That would be funny. [3758.3] Jack: Yeah, I know. [3759.3] Jack: We need to... [3760.3] Jack: Yeah, Let's Drone out is so white as well. [3763.3] AndyRC: NJ is in the chat. [3766.3] AndyRC: NJ from Venice. [3767.3] AndyRC: I'm seeing a lot of comments. [3768.3] AndyRC: People saying that they need a cold shower. [3770.3] AndyRC: Green patches, what's up? [3772.3] Tony: Hello, everyone. [3773.3] Tony: Thanks for tuning in. [3774.3] Tony: Cheers to all our Patreons as well. [3776.3] Tony: So is this going to be a Patreons only win thing? [3779.3] Tony: And what can people win? [3781.3] Frank: So we've got a list of Patreons up here. [3786.3] Frank: And what we're going to do, we've got a few prizes to give away. [3793.3] Frank: So we have... [3794.3] Frank: Ooh! [3795.3] Frank: Come on, everyone. [3797.3] Frank: On the conveyor belt tonight. [3801.3] Frank: Ooh! [3802.3] AndyRC: It's a curly tie. [3804.3] Frank: Yeah. [3806.3] Frank: So we've got some shiny new stickers that we're going to get. [3813.3] Frank: We've got the shiny badges, which you can buy from our Facebook page [3820.3] Frank: if you want some shiny, shiny badges. [3822.3] Frank: They're not shiny badges, too. [3824.3] Frank: Ooh! [3825.3] Frank: Stainless steel. [3827.3] Frank: And... [3829.3] AndyRC: That was such an Alan Partridge thing to say. [3832.3] AndyRC: Stainless steel! [3835.3] Frank: And also a T-shirt, which we will get printed in your size, I believe, Jack, is the plan. [3845.3] AndyRC: And has it been worn by Jack, because it's really important. [3849.3] Jack: The printer doesn't get back from holiday. [3852.3] Jack: He's gone mental because his cats died. [3855.3] Jack: You can't say mental. [3856.3] Jack: Well, I have. [3858.3] Jack: All right. [3859.3] Jack: Well, he's had a mental breakdown because his cats died, Bonnie. [3864.3] Jack: Funny enough, boy cat, they didn't realise. [3868.3] Jack: Sorry to... [3869.3] Jack: You know, they just assumed it's gender. [3871.3] Tony: So you might get your prizes while Christmas, yeah? [3876.3] Jack: Yeah. [3877.3] Jack: Well, we were going to sign the shirt. [3879.3] Jack: We were going to do a white one and send it or meet up, and we can all sign it. [3885.3] Frank: That's a good idea. [3887.3] Frank: So yeah. [3888.3] Frank: We will get all... [3889.3] Curry: Sometime next year, perhaps. [3891.3] Curry: Yeah. [3892.3] Curry: Very long time. [3893.3] AndyRC: We should say sorry for the loss. [3894.3] AndyRC: It's horrible for seeing an animal there like... [3897.3] AndyRC: They're like part of the family, so... [3900.3] Frank: Aye. [3902.3] Frank: Okay, so... [3903.3] Frank: Yeah. [3904.3] Frank: So, we have... [3908.3] Frank: As we have Dom here, Dom, can you give us three random numbers between 1 and 36? [3916.3] Frank: Get your dice out, Dom. [3920.09] Jack: In any order. [3922.09] Jack: Dom, get some dice out. [3924.09] Jack: Can he still hear us? [3926.09] Jack: Dom? [3928.09] Frank: I think he can hear us. [3929.09] Frank: I don't think we can hear him. [3930.09] Frank: No, we can't. [3931.09] Tony: He's giving us numbers that we can't hear. [3933.09] Tony: I'm messing about with sound here, right? [3934.09] Dom: Sorry. [3935.09] Dom: You can hear me now, yeah? [3936.09] Dom: Yep. [3937.09] Dom: All right. [3938.09] Dom: All right. [3939.09] Dom: 7, 13 and 19. [3940.09] Dom: 7, 13 and 19. [3942.09] Frank: So... [3943.09] Jack: You do realise they're in alphabetical order that I gave them to you? [3947.09] Jack: They were sort of primes, I think. [3948.09] Jack: Oh, no, 9's not, is it? [3950.09] Dom: 13. [3951.09] Dom: I didn't give 9. [3952.09] Dom: You need to jumble them up. [3953.09] Dom: This is LDI. [3954.09] Dom: Don't worry. [3955.09] Dom: 7, 13 and 19's your call. [3958.09] Dom: Don't worry. [3959.09] Frank: I have already jumbled them up. [3962.09] Frank: So, in third place, number 7. [3966.09] Frank: So, this is for some stickers. [3968.09] Frank: And looking it up, we have Bloodz FPV. [3971.09] Tony: Hey, well done, Bloodz. [3973.09] Tony: And thanks for being the Patreon. [3976.09] Frank: Number 13 is Coach Home UK, who we're assuming is Steve Gladden. [3983.09] Frank: It is Steve Gladden, yay. [3985.09] Frank: Thanks for being a Patreon, Steve. [3987.09] Frank: And so you will get stickers and a badge. [3992.09] Frank: And number 19 for stickers, badge and the t-shirt is Richard Warwick. [3999.09] Frank: Yay! [4000.09] Curry: Richard. [4001.09] Curry: Look at that. [4002.09] Curry: Richard's in the chat there. [4003.09] Frank: He is in the chat. [4004.09] Frank: Well done, Richard. [4005.09] Frank: So, if you three want to send us your addresses, [4010.09] Frank: we don't think we have any addresses through Patreon [4013.09] Frank: because we haven't been sending... [4015.09] Dom: GDPR. [4020.09] Frank: So, yeah, if you send us your addresses, [4022.09] Frank: we will post some goodies out to you. [4024.09] Jack: No worries. [4025.09] Jack: Can I pick the number 25 to send some random crap [4030.09] Jack: that I found lying around in my house? [4032.09] Frank: Yeah, go on. [4034.09] Frank: Number 25 is Art Faulkner. [4039.09] Curry: Here's some crisp packets and other things that I've picked for Jack. [4044.09] Tony: Actually... [4045.09] Tony: Do you want to pick a number? [4046.09] Tony: I'm going to pick a number and you can win the wank sock. [4051.09] AndyRC: I've already played the wank sock. [4053.09] AndyRC: I think you should get a lock of Jack's hair as well. [4056.09] AndyRC: Oh, that's weird. [4058.09] AndyRC: Is the wank sock gone? [4059.09] AndyRC: That was a good point, man. [4061.09] AndyRC: Wait, the wank sock's fine, but a lock of hair is wicked. [4065.09] Jack: I haven't wanked into the sock for f*** sake. [4069.09] AndyRC: Not for at least a week, anyway. [4072.09] Tony: Oh, dear. [4073.09] Tony: Okay, my number is 25. [4076.09] Jack: That was my number, you dickhead. [4078.09] Jack: Oh, dear. [4080.09] Jack: You picked five because that's in your phone number so much. [4083.09] Tony: Okay, number five, five, five, five. [4085.09] Tony: It's John Robinson. [4088.09] Dom: You told me one. [4089.09] Dom: I'm not accepting gifts. [4093.09] Jack: Pick another number. [4094.09] Dom: This is in the small print. [4095.09] Dom: I can't accept gifts. [4097.09] Dom: Pick another number. [4098.09] Jack: What do you say? [4100.09] Frank: Number 30. [4102.09] Frank: Number 30 is Joshua Bardwell. [4106.09] Tony: Josh. [4107.09] Tony: What are you going to say, Josh? [4110.09] Jack: Well, you are. [4111.09] Jack: That's you. [4113.09] Tony: Oh, great. [4114.09] Tony: I think Josh should get a lock. [4116.09] AndyRC: This toilet paper. [4118.09] AndyRC: I think he should get a lock of hair. [4121.09] Jack: Yeah, Josh can get a bit of my hair if you want. [4125.09] AndyRC: The curly stuff, they're not their streets. [4129.09] Dom: Imagine if you go viral next year, what the fifth birthday is like, [4132.09] Dom: you're going to have nothing left in your house. [4136.09] Tony: I don't think this podcast could ever go viral. [4139.09] Tony: Come on. [4141.09] Jack: Oh, man, that is so funny. [4143.09] Jack: You know, notorious reasons. [4149.09] Frank: Guys, one other thing. [4150.09] Frank: You can send us your address either through Facebook or you can send it [4156.09] Frank: through Patreon or you can send it through. [4158.09] Frank: Let's turn out at gmail.com or you probably have us on Facebook. [4163.09] Frank: You could just, I don't know, a homing pigeon. [4167.09] Tony: I think I know where Richard Warwick lives. [4172.09] AndyRC: Richard's cool. [4173.09] AndyRC: Richard's awesome. [4175.09] AndyRC: He always comments on my vids and yeah, he's a cool dude. [4180.09] Tony: Yeah, I think I can probably hand deliver that to him. [4184.09] Tony: There we go then. [4185.09] Frank: I've been stalking you. [4186.09] Tony: I'll just know where you live. [4187.09] Tony: Okay. [4189.09] Jack: JP, date your protection act 1998. [4194.09] AndyRC: Can we go back to the story and how did you, how did Andre? [4199.09] Jack: And now back to story time. [4202.09] Jack: Right. [4203.09] Jack: So that's that's a big jump. [4205.09] AndyRC: Is it a big job? [4206.09] AndyRC: Well, do you want to fill in the bit before? [4207.09] AndyRC: Because honestly, when I, when I saw Andre, I was like, I need to be a part [4212.09] Jack: of this because he's so sexy. [4214.09] Jack: You think that and then when you get on the show with him, he makes you [4218.09] Jack: look like a more of a piece of share. [4220.09] Jack: Do you know what I mean? [4221.09] AndyRC: Actually, actually, Andre was sort of, he wasn't having a go, but I think [4227.09] AndyRC: he was a bit reserved about me at the time. [4229.09] AndyRC: And yeah, but I want to, but, but still, I came on anyways. [4235.09] AndyRC: And yeah, me and Andre have got a lot in common. [4238.09] AndyRC: So that turned out cool. [4240.09] AndyRC: But, but. [4241.09] Jack: Having a really hot girlfriend and then being like, this is what you [4245.09] Jack: could have won. [4247.09] Jack: My friend and Jay. [4249.09] AndyRC: This is what you could have ended up like. [4252.09] Jack: Yeah. Or it could have been worse. [4253.09] Jack: This is Tony. [4255.09] Jack: Oh, down here. [4258.09] AndyRC: Sorry. [4260.09] AndyRC: So that's a big jump. [4261.09] AndyRC: So what happened in between there then? [4266.09] Jack: Me and Tony and Jay, all, and Nico all met up in my flat for the first [4275.09] Jack: recording and let thrown out. [4276.09] AndyRC: Wow. [4278.09] Jack: Don was joined us over Skype, I believe for a little bit. [4282.09] Jack: Yeah. [4283.09] Jack: Yeah. [4284.09] Jack: Get us started. [4285.09] Jack: And we were on a platform called the Thursday night show, which is [4291.09] Jack: thing. [4292.09] Jack: I sometimes disappear and like play eighties music and, you know, [4297.09] Jack: start playing NWA and nightcore and, you know, like maybe get kicked [4303.09] Jack: off every, every month. [4305.09] Jack: And then you won't get kicked off there. [4309.09] Jack: I was like the first person ever to play nightcore. [4313.09] Jack: Yeah. [4314.09] Jack: Yeah. [4316.09] AndyRC: Nightcore is normal music sped up as that. [4320.09] Jack: Yeah. [4321.09] Jack: Yeah. [4322.09] Jack: Like, yeah. [4323.09] Jack: With a squeaky voice. [4326.09] AndyRC: So we're digressing. [4328.09] AndyRC: So how did it? [4329.09] AndyRC: Yeah. [4330.09] AndyRC: You went from that. [4331.09] Jack: Yeah. [4332.09] Jack: We, we, we done that for a long time. [4335.09] Jack: And then I realized I was really awful. [4338.09] Jack: Organizing things like, you know, other than breathing in and out. [4344.09] Tony: I'm really good at that. [4346.09] Jack: Yeah. [4347.09] Jack: So then we got Andrew on board and then for several months, Andrew [4351.09] Jack: didn't say anything. [4353.09] Frank: Well, for, for several months, I was just writing emails because I [4357.09] Frank: had such bad. [4359.09] Dom: Apologizing. [4360.09] Dom: All right. [4361.09] Frank: He couldn't. [4362.09] AndyRC: Well, sometimes. [4364.09] AndyRC: For Jack, for Jack, for Jack. [4366.09] AndyRC: And like, none of you had your webcam on. [4368.09] AndyRC: It was an audio only thing. [4370.09] Jack: We were more popular back then. [4376.09] AndyRC: How did it transition from audio to, oh, let's start showing our [4380.09] AndyRC: faces. [4381.09] Jack: We wrecked the server of the Thursday night show. [4385.09] Jack: I'd probably like to think anyway. [4387.09] Jack: Yeah. [4389.09] Jack: And just generally started doing people's heads in because like [4393.09] Jack: they would have, they'd get into the music and then all of a sudden [4396.09] Jack: eight o'clock till nine would kick in. [4398.09] Jack: What are they talking about? [4400.09] Jack: And like people would pile on to the platform. [4404.09] Jack: But then as soon as we would finish, they would all bugger off. [4408.09] Jack: And, you know, like, exactly. [4411.09] Jack: Yeah. [4412.09] Jack: They got a bit. [4413.09] Jack: It's like, no stay for the music. [4415.09] Jack: And they never did. [4418.09] Frank: There's not much of a crossover between the two audiences. [4422.09] Frank: Yeah. [4423.09] Frank: And people who want to listen to esoteric music. [4426.09] Dom: Yeah, exactly. [4428.09] Frank: So we started up our own radio channel that was powering on that [4434.09] Frank: code UK. [4435.09] Jack: Yeah. [4436.09] Jack: Which was a giant hole of your money. [4438.09] Jack: I'm very sorry, Andrew. [4440.09] Frank: It happens. [4442.09] Frank: So yeah, that was May 2016. [4446.09] AndyRC: It was a year ago. [4448.09] AndyRC: Yeah. [4449.09] AndyRC: It's like everything that we're talking about. [4451.09] AndyRC: And we talk about it like it's decades ago, but it's with all within [4455.09] AndyRC: the last two years. [4458.09] Tony: Yeah. [4461.09] Tony: Don't ever bring that back. [4464.09] Jack: Oh, I missed that. [4466.09] Jack: I used to play. [4469.09] Jack: I used to play Jurassic Park music every time. [4474.09] AndyRC: Well, he's really dumb because it's Celine Dion now. [4478.09] Jack: Well, yeah, that's it. [4480.09] Jack: And then, yeah. [4482.09] Jack: Oh, man. [4483.09] Frank: We were powering on the code UK from May 2016 to about September. [4490.09] Frank: And then we just got fed up of it having issues and but not working, [4498.09] Frank: which was a bit of software we were using. [4501.09] Frank: And yeah, we just gave up on that. [4503.09] Frank: And Hangouts was a lot easier. [4505.09] Frank: We'd seen flight tests for using it and I think a couple of other [4509.09] Frank: people and it just made a lot more sense. [4511.09] Frank: So we started using that. [4514.09] Jack: I used to use it for the other podcast I was on last morning. [4518.09] Jack: Really? [4519.09] Jack: Yeah. [4520.09] Jack: I used it because Tom Green used it for a thing. [4526.09] Jack: What was it called, Andy RC? [4528.09] Jack: Oh, no, he's gone. [4530.09] AndyRC: I'm here. [4532.09] Jack: Web of vision. [4533.09] AndyRC: Yeah, I don't know what he used. [4535.09] AndyRC: But I think Joe Rogan adapted what he used. [4539.09] AndyRC: He had a full set up like a streamer box and stuff. [4543.09] AndyRC: Yeah. [4545.09] AndyRC: Yeah, but that's my influence with podcast. [4548.09] AndyRC: Tom Green, Joe Rogan. [4550.09] AndyRC: Still watch Joe Rogan. [4552.09] Jack: Jamie Goode. [4554.09] AndyRC: You don't watch Joe Rogan. [4556.09] AndyRC: Oh, man, it's like the biggest podcast in the world. [4558.09] AndyRC: You just have Neil deGrasse Tyson on there talking about [4561.09] AndyRC: science and stuff. [4562.09] AndyRC: That's my favorite podcast. [4564.09] AndyRC: Yeah, I'm sad that Tom Green doesn't do it anymore. [4568.09] AndyRC: Yeah, I appeared on there. [4571.09] AndyRC: You were on the Tom Green podcast. [4576.09] AndyRC: I never got to see it. [4579.09] AndyRC: You said you showed a quad cop from the Tom Green. [4582.09] Jack: Yeah, and I changed my shirt, but he like stuck me on without [4586.09] Jack: telling me. [4587.09] Jack: So I was in the middle of changing shirts. [4589.09] Jack: They were like nice nickels. [4592.09] Jack: So yeah, that's my... [4595.09] AndyRC: I was part of a talent contest where Tom Green was the judge [4600.09] AndyRC: through Yahoo, and he said I was the worst person that he'd [4604.09] AndyRC: ever seen on the internet. [4606.09] AndyRC: Well, I still loved him because it was just... [4609.09] Jack: What did you do talent-wise? [4612.09] AndyRC: Years and years ago, because I've always been a guitarist, [4616.09] AndyRC: I did this classical guitar piece, and it did quite well. [4621.09] AndyRC: I think I came like... [4623.09] AndyRC: I was definitely in the top 10, but Tom Green was a judge, [4627.09] AndyRC: and he said that you know when you're playing... [4630.09] AndyRC: You know when you're at home playing guitar on your own? [4634.09] AndyRC: Keep it that way, he said. [4638.09] AndyRC: And that's why Andre is a huge rock star, and that's why I sit [4642.09] AndyRC: in my room. [4643.09] Jack: Oh my God, man. [4646.09] Jack: If I had known, I would have been like... [4649.09] Jack: Next time I tell him, I'll be like, yeah. [4652.09] Jack: Do you remember there was this talent contest, and you said [4655.09] Jack: stay at home playing the guitar? [4658.09] Jack: Well, he took the strings off the guitar and then hung himself. [4662.09] AndyRC: Well, just for anybody watching, Tom Green's got, I think, [4667.09] AndyRC: 88,000 subscribers. [4669.09] AndyRC: I've got 50, so if I could overtake Tom Green, that would... [4673.09] AndyRC: Yeah, that would make my day. [4675.09] AndyRC: But no, I love Tom Green. [4677.09] AndyRC: And I think he's like started the whole podcast thing for me [4682.09] AndyRC: between him and Ricky, so I'll always be a fan. [4686.09] Jack: That's how I kind of view this podcast. [4690.09] Jack: It's a cross between the Ricky Gervais show, but I'm not as smart [4696.09] Jack: as Ricky Gervais, and Tony's way dumber than Karl Pilkington. [4702.09] Jack: And, oh, funny enough, me and Frank were laughing about this, [4709.09] Jack: or it's a bit like, how do I put it? [4714.09] Jack: Blackadder, where, you know, Tony's... [4718.09] Jack: Tony Robinson. [4721.09] Jack: Baldrick. [4722.09] Jack: It's not as good when he's not here. [4724.09] Jack: And, you know, like Frank Stephen Fry, NJ's Flash. [4730.09] Jack: What do you think... [4733.09] Jack: Far. [4734.09] Jack: No, where is it? [4735.09] Jack: Woof. [4736.09] Jack: Woof. [4737.09] Jack: There we go. [4738.09] Jack: So, hopefully, NJ can say woof a lot. [4745.09] Jack: I need to glance, Ash. [4747.09] Jack: Yeah. [4748.09] Jack: I think we should all do it for Christmas special. [4751.09] AndyRC: So, are we at the point where we can talk about how you guys [4754.09] AndyRC: met NJ or some more involved? [4757.09] AndyRC: Yeah. [4758.09] Frank: Quickly. [4759.09] Frank: Well, we must have met him by this point, because this was... [4764.5] Frank: Oh. [4765.5] Frank: Okay. [4767.5] Frank: Because as we started using Hangouts, we had the LDO drone [4773.5] Frank: games that was definitely not a rip-off of the Olympic games. [4778.5] Frank: And that was my brief trial dry run for Mini Airshow to make [4788.5] Frank: sure I kind of knew what I had to do. [4791.5] Frank: Mini Airshow in even more miniature. [4795.5] AndyRC: Mini Airshow. [4796.5] AndyRC: Mini Airshow. [4797.5] AndyRC: And NJ turned up to it then. [4799.5] Frank: Yes. [4800.5] Frank: And absolutely killed it in the freestyle competition. [4803.5] AndyRC: Freestyle. [4804.5] AndyRC: Yeah. [4805.5] AndyRC: So, I heard... [4806.5] AndyRC: And people were amazed at his sort of backwards flying [4808.5] AndyRC: and line of sight stuff. [4810.5] Frank: Yeah. [4811.5] Frank: Absolutely bananas. [4813.5] AndyRC: And so, you're like, I need to stay in contact with this guy [4816.5] AndyRC: and get him on the show. [4817.5] AndyRC: Is that how it was? [4820.5] Frank: I think he might have already been on by that point. [4823.5] Frank: I don't know. [4824.5] Dom: He was an old friend of Jay's. [4826.5] Frank: Yeah. [4827.5] UNKNOWN: Yeah. [4828.5] Dom: I think that's basically how it was. [4832.5] Frank: NJ was first on at the end of June 2016. [4836.5] Frank: And we had a whole episode talking to NJ specifically [4841.5] Frank: as the guest. [4843.5] Frank: There we go. [4845.5] AndyRC: And then you must have collared him at some point [4848.5] AndyRC: because it was on every episode after then. [4850.5] Jack: Yeah. [4851.5] Jack: Well, we just commandeered him. [4854.5] Jack: That's the word I like to use. [4857.5] Jack: And yeah. [4860.5] Jack: So, we carried on for a bit like... [4865.5] Jack: Yeah. [4866.5] Jack: We carried on for a bit like that. [4868.5] Jack: And then, who was the next person we took on board after you? [4875.88] Jack: It must have been NJ. [4877.88] Frank: Yeah. [4879.88] Jack: And then I... [4882.88] Jack: You started writing up the rotor ride a lot after that, didn't you? [4885.88] Jack: Yeah. [4886.88] Jack: Just doing that, Eddson. [4888.88] Jack: I left for a bit because I was in therapy for a while. [4893.88] Jack: And then I left the show. [4896.88] Jack: So, then it was Jay got his right hand man, Clint. [4900.88] Jack: And Clint was working with you, Frank, for Mini Air Show. [4905.88] Frank: Yes. [4907.88] Frank: Yeah. [4908.88] Frank: Me, Clint and Fraser all ripping our hair out, [4911.88] Frank: trying to work out what the hell we were going to do. [4914.88] Frank: Yeah. [4915.88] Frank: And hoping that Hidden Valley hadn't got completely shut down by then. [4922.88] Dom: And then... [4923.88] Dom: I have no sympathy. [4924.88] Dom: There were three of you. [4927.88] Dom: Yeah. [4928.88] Frank: Yeah. [4929.88] Jack: And then after that, things went wrong with Jay. [4935.88] Jack: That's pretty much all I can say. [4939.88] AndyRC: Because I was... [4940.88] AndyRC: I received an email from Jay and asked him to come on the show. [4950.88] AndyRC: And I was really nervous because I'd never done any live stuff or anything like that. [4957.88] AndyRC: And so, when Jay emailed me, I stopped. [4961.88] AndyRC: I hadn't actually seen the show. [4964.88] AndyRC: Just so engulfed in my own channel and what I was doing. [4968.88] AndyRC: So, I went back and just... [4970.88] AndyRC: I was just amazed at all of the guys that you were interviewing and getting on and stuff. [4977.88] AndyRC: And so, yeah, Jay sent me an email. [4980.88] AndyRC: I was like, right, I'm going to do this. [4982.88] AndyRC: I'm going to push myself. [4985.88] AndyRC: And Jay was awesome. [4987.88] AndyRC: But I was really disappointed because all of the shows that I've been watching... [4992.88] AndyRC: I say watching more like listening to because, as I say, you guys didn't have the cameras on. [4999.88] AndyRC: I was just in love with Jack's voice. [5002.88] AndyRC: There was something about Jack's voice in his accent that... [5007.88] Jack: Because it was very Southern. [5008.88] Jack: You never heard anything like it before. [5010.88] AndyRC: No, no, it's just... [5011.88] Jack: It was a Southern voice. [5013.88] AndyRC: The tones and also just how you would be talking really seriously. [5019.88] AndyRC: And then all of a sudden go off on a tangent. [5021.88] AndyRC: And I thought... [5023.88] AndyRC: Because, as I say, you didn't have your camera on. [5026.88] AndyRC: So, I thought you looked like Ash. [5028.88] AndyRC: So, I thought you were Ash, actually. [5032.88] AndyRC: Because I thought it was the same thing. [5036.88] Jack: Yeah, Ash is quite attractive, unfortunately. [5039.88] AndyRC: But anyways, what happened... [5043.88] AndyRC: I mean, I don't know if I've told this before on the show, but... [5047.88] AndyRC: Yeah, Jay was like, okay, come on the show. [5050.88] AndyRC: We've got a date and everything. [5052.88] AndyRC: And it was a Thursday and I was nervous. [5055.88] AndyRC: And I was having some problems in my personal life. [5059.88] AndyRC: And the day that I was meant to come on the show was the day that me and my ex decided to end it. [5068.88] AndyRC: And we've been together for like... [5070.88] Jack: Not suicide breakup. [5072.88] AndyRC: No, but we've been together for six years. [5077.88] AndyRC: And she knew that I was going to be on the podcast and stuff. [5082.88] AndyRC: In fact, she was... [5084.88] AndyRC: That particular day, she sent me a message that said, [5088.88] AndyRC: good luck with the podcast and stuff. [5090.88] AndyRC: And I replied back. [5092.88] AndyRC: I was like, are we over? [5095.88] AndyRC: And it was like, yeah. [5098.88] AndyRC: And that was it. [5099.88] AndyRC: That was the day I was meant to be on the podcast. [5101.88] AndyRC: And I was like, I cannot deal with this today. [5105.88] AndyRC: And so I sent Jay an email saying, Luke, man, I got some stuff going on in my personal life. [5111.88] AndyRC: I can't do the show. [5114.88] AndyRC: I'm so sorry. [5116.88] AndyRC: And it was a kind of like situation where I was just like in bed and couldn't move and stuff. [5123.88] AndyRC: And so I carried on with my chart. [5125.88] AndyRC: I felt bad for JJ was awesome. [5127.88] AndyRC: He was like, oh, man, yeah. [5129.88] AndyRC: I completely understand it was bad timing and all this business. [5133.88] AndyRC: And then a few months later, I was at Weston Park with Painless [5138.88] AndyRC: because me and Painless, we realized that we lived close to each other. [5142.88] AndyRC: And we'd been talking and we'd never met up. [5146.88] AndyRC: So Lee was like, well, this Weston Park thing's coming up. [5149.88] AndyRC: It's a big event. [5150.88] AndyRC: I've never been before. [5151.88] AndyRC: Why don't we meet up at Weston Park? [5153.88] AndyRC: So I met up with Lee and I get there. [5155.88] AndyRC: And I see Jack standing at the iDrome tent. [5163.88] AndyRC: And I'm like, oh, that's that guy. [5166.88] AndyRC: That's that guy from Lestrone Outt. [5167.88] AndyRC: Or he used to be on Lestrone Outt. [5169.88] AndyRC: I'll ignore him. [5172.88] AndyRC: You better rock, man. [5173.88] Jack: You better rock. [5174.88] AndyRC: So I went and sat on the FPV line. [5176.88] AndyRC: And anyways, the long story short, Lee introduced me to Jack. [5181.88] AndyRC: And instantly, I don't know, it just felt like I knew him because I listened. [5187.88] AndyRC: You did that, didn't you? [5188.88] Jack: Like, if you know someone, you know, you listen to the podcast, [5192.88] Jack: you feel like you do know him. [5194.88] AndyRC: Yeah, it felt like I knew who you were already. [5196.88] AndyRC: So I shoot your hand. [5198.88] AndyRC: But like, it was instant. [5200.88] AndyRC: It was easy to talk to all of you. [5202.88] AndyRC: I think I met Carlos at that point as well. [5208.88] AndyRC: I'm just trying to remember who else. [5209.88] AndyRC: There's quite a few people there. [5212.88] AndyRC: And then you were like... [5213.88] AndyRC: I was there. [5214.88] AndyRC: I was there. [5215.88] AndyRC: But I was not there. [5216.88] AndyRC: It's kind of funny because a year later, me and Frank are hanging out together with that show. [5223.88] AndyRC: But yeah. [5226.88] Frank: We had about a thousand caravans between us at that point. [5229.88] AndyRC: Yeah. [5230.88] AndyRC: So I think Jack said, oh, I think it may have been Jack said, oh, you need to come on Let's Throw Now. [5236.88] AndyRC: Because I was meant to be. [5239.88] AndyRC: And I think I said, well, I'll only do it if you go back on the show. [5242.88] AndyRC: And then you said, well, I'm coming back, man. [5246.88] AndyRC: And then the first one you came back on, I was like, I'm on that show. [5251.88] AndyRC: And I was. [5252.88] AndyRC: And that's how I ended up on the show. [5256.88] AndyRC: Long story, but there you go. [5259.88] Jack: And then, yeah, we kind of adopted you and N.J. after the bit of the old fallout, really. [5266.88] Jack: You know, I just I got to a point where it was just like that, man, if you think you can do better, you know, give it a crack. [5275.88] Jack: Yeah, then we just kind of been carrying on ever, ever since. [5278.88] Jack: And, you know, like the the thing, you know, the scenes really changed. [5283.88] Jack: I mean, I even Skyped Carlos from, you know, Broke Riot. [5290.88] Jack: You know, what was his pilot name? [5295.88] Curry: In Shampoo. [5296.88] Jack: In Shampoo, that's it. Yeah. [5298.88] Jack: How can I forget? And and then you carried on. [5302.88] Jack: And then eventually one day we sent an email to Curry Kitten because I started talking about him and no one knew who the hell I was on. [5312.88] Jack: About and and then I sent a horrific email in the style of Tony. [5320.88] Jack: I've got it in front of me. [5321.88] Curry: It says, Kerri Kitten, all other case. [5324.88] Curry: But at least there's no space in it. [5325.88] Curry: Would you be up for coming on the show? [5327.88] Curry: Let's drone out. That is it. [5328.88] Curry: Yeah, that's it. Yeah. [5330.88] Curry: Love Jack, not anything is like I wrote. [5333.88] Curry: What shows? What shows that? [5335.88] Curry: Yeah. [5336.88] Curry: You also then wrote, I love your videos. [5338.88] Curry: They're really charming, which confused me. [5340.88] Curry: Because, like, why are my videos out to you? [5342.88] Curry: I mean, what videos are you watching? [5343.88] Jack: They are. I really like they they tug at my heartstrings. [5346.88] Jack: You're like the dad I never had. [5348.88] Jack: I mean, I wish I was Sophie, you know. [5352.88] AndyRC: Can I just say, can I just say as well, like Wayne and Jack, I would not be surprised if he watched your dad because you've both got that. [5362.88] AndyRC: You've both got. [5363.88] Jack: We both wear glasses. [5364.88] Jack: You take the piss out of Tony. [5366.88] Jack: You've both got that bluntness in you. [5370.88] AndyRC: Yeah, that's crazy damn self, mate. [5372.88] AndyRC: I say the word blunts, spelling it differently. [5378.88] Jack: To how it's been. [5379.88] Jack: Oi, Andy RC, you're northern, aren't you? [5382.88] Jack: Apparently so. [5383.88] Jack: Right, ready, ready for this one. [5386.88] Jack: I've pulled out a northern, a northern term. [5392.88] Jack: Avoid avoid avoid done. [5394.88] Jack: So I'm going to what I'm going to do is I'm going to read out a saying. [5398.88] Jack: And I think it's why don't you know it's gone. [5403.88] Jack: Damn it. [5404.88] AndyRC: Well, just as you're doing that, I'm going to tab in Google because every time you do this, I have no idea what you're talking about. [5411.88] Curry: While Jack's looking it up, as they've been spamming the the chat, can we just remind everybody about the team? [5417.88] Curry: Wooly sheep event as they've been asking about it, which is on the 16th of September in Miskin, Miskin Manor, which is some health club type thing in Wales where they're doing their [5428.88] Curry: golf club demo events showing how good drones are and doing demos and stuff for people. [5434.88] AndyRC: Well, OK, Jack, if you haven't got if you haven't got a northern term, I've got one for you. [5440.88] AndyRC: Are you ready? [5441.88] Jack: Yeah. [5442.88] AndyRC: Get your Google at the ready. [5444.88] Jack: I've got your seven. [5447.88] AndyRC: Yeah. [5448.88] AndyRC: Yeah. [5449.88] AndyRC: Yeah. [5450.88] AndyRC: OK. [5451.88] AndyRC: Hey, Jack, your seven. [5452.88] Curry: What is your seven in it? [5454.88] AndyRC: What what is a blue? [5457.88] AndyRC: What is a blue waffle? [5460.88] Jack: Oh, isn't that. [5463.88] Jack: This is where you like. [5468.88] Frank: Don't Google that. [5470.88] AndyRC: Everybody. [5471.88] AndyRC: What is a what is a blue waffle? [5475.88] Curry: Should I use Google images or not? [5478.88] AndyRC: I went down south and I'm yes. [5482.88] AndyRC: And it was like a thing. [5483.88] AndyRC: I've got a blue waffle. [5485.88] AndyRC: Be careful. [5487.88] Jack: Isn't it a bad STD? [5491.88] AndyRC: I have no idea. [5492.88] AndyRC: You tell me you're the southern one. [5494.88] Curry: Blue waffle is a fictional sexually transmitted infection that is believed to turn the vagina blue into spirit. [5503.88] AndyRC: I tell you, I tell you now it is not fictional. [5506.88] Curry: I've had that. [5509.88] Jack: You've got a vagina. [5512.88] Curry: It infects the man genre as well. [5515.88] Jack: Yeah. [5516.88] Jack: So number 35 from Bexke. [5519.88] Jack: Bexke 93. [5521.88] AndyRC: Some girl on your Twitch. [5523.88] AndyRC: Yeah. [5524.88] AndyRC: So random Manchester girl. [5526.88] Jack: Yeah. [5527.88] Jack: She sent me a link to this. [5528.88] Jack: Right. [5529.88] Jack: So if I ever if you ever heard someone say this to you, what are they on about? [5534.88] Jack: Get off and milk it. [5539.48] Jack: Any any idea where what why. [5544.48] Frank: Can I take a stab at that? [5546.48] Curry: I'd like to have a guess. [5548.48] Frank: Is it that someone's going too slowly? [5551.48] Frank: And what you're saying is they're riding a cow and they need to get something faster. [5556.48] Jack: Yes. [5558.48] Jack: Yeah. [5559.48] Jack: But who would be going slow? [5561.48] Frank: Well, someone that's trying to get somewhere by riding a cow when they should be riding a horse. [5568.48] Jack: Yeah. [5570.48] Jack: So what are they riding? [5572.48] Jack: A cow. [5573.48] Jack: I just said that. [5574.48] Jack: They're riding a cow. [5576.48] Jack: They're riding a cow. [5577.48] Jack: It's a metaphorical cow. [5578.48] Jack: There's no cow. [5581.48] Jack: Then it wouldn't be funny if they were like get off a meal kit. [5585.48] Jack: If it was an actual cow. [5588.48] Frank: No, but if they're like. [5590.48] Frank: Just moving too slowly. [5593.48] AndyRC: Yeah. [5594.48] Frank: Yeah. [5595.48] AndyRC: Yeah. [5596.48] AndyRC: Well, should I say as a vegan? [5598.48] AndyRC: As a vegan. [5599.48] AndyRC: You're not vegan. [5600.48] AndyRC: You should not be milking any cow. [5602.48] AndyRC: It is righteous. [5604.48] Jack: Right. [5605.48] Jack: Yeah. [5606.48] Jack: That's it. [5607.48] Jack: Apparently you say it to a cyclist. [5610.48] Jack: What? [5611.48] Jack: It's an endearing term to say to a cyclist. [5619.48] Frank: I know where milk comes from. [5622.48] Jack: Are they slightly confused? [5624.48] Jack: I don't know. [5625.48] Jack: You know, look man, they're up north. [5627.48] Jack: They could be milking bulls for all I know. [5629.48] Frank: They have freedom bicycles. [5634.48] Jack: That's it. [5635.48] Jack: Who knows? [5637.48] Frank: That is in the chat says a gay farmer getting mad about riding cows. [5644.88] AndyRC: Exactly. [5645.88] AndyRC: Farming is bad. [5646.88] AndyRC: Don't be farming. [5647.88] Jack: What? [5651.02] Jack: Oh, that's weird. [5652.02] Jack: Basically. [5653.02] Jack: He's got live on. [5655.02] Jack: She must be. [5656.02] AndyRC: She must be watching. [5658.02] AndyRC: She's doing a reaction video. [5660.02] Jack: Yeah. [5661.02] Jack: That's it. [5662.02] Jack: That's it. [5663.02] Jack: He can't watch me if he's doing the show. [5667.02] AndyRC: All right. [5668.02] AndyRC: So we've talked about the history of Let's Drone Out and where it started. [5671.02] AndyRC: But where's it heading? [5674.02] Jack: I told you. [5675.02] Jack: What's the future? [5677.02] Jack: Scandal and ruin or fan fiction? [5683.02] AndyRC: Fan fiction. [5684.02] Jack: There's only two ways it can go. [5687.02] AndyRC: I'm going to start writing some Jack and Tony fan fiction. [5691.02] AndyRC: I mean, there's enough photo evidence to recreate a shower scene myself. [5699.02] AndyRC: A toilet scene on a live stream. [5703.02] Jack: Bill, sheep are the preference to the west. [5709.02] Jack: And obviously North, it's cows. [5715.02] Jack: Zero FPV said 50 shades of Jack. [5720.02] Jack: Oh, God. [5722.02] Jack: Oh, no, Daddy. [5723.02] Jack: No. [5724.02] Jack: We'd all be dead if it wasn't for farming. [5727.02] Jack: I will remind you all that I am a big gay farmer sometimes on Twitch. [5733.02] AndyRC: I haven't seen you doing any farming for ages. [5736.02] Jack: Well, I haven't been home. [5737.02] Jack: I've been busy murdering these families. [5741.02] Frank: Well, I don't know what we're doing next week. [5743.02] Frank: But I know the week after we've got painless back on, [5747.02] Frank: talk about some interesting stuff. [5749.02] Frank: And the week after, we're hopefully going to have a deep undercover investigative reporter coming [5756.02] Frank: and talking to us about what the police make of all the new drone rigs. [5761.02] Frank: So that will hopefully... [5764.02] AndyRC: What's this video that you and painless have done together? [5769.02] AndyRC: It's not Project Squirrel. [5772.02] Frank: It's not Project Squirrel, no. [5773.02] Frank: That's a different project. [5776.02] Jack: Sorry. [5777.02] Jack: Have I imagined Project Squirrel? [5780.02] Frank: So me and painless did a quick interview, well, more of a chat, really, than an interview, [5788.02] Frank: about the consultation that we were talking about at the beginning of the show. [5793.02] Frank: And I implore everyone listening to go and fill in that consultation before the 17th of September. [5800.02] AndyRC: It's all come full circle. [5801.02] AndyRC: We did some content. [5803.02] Jack: Yes. [5805.02] Jack: I had a girlfriend once who says, you're using implore wrong. [5809.02] Jack: And I was like, no, that's what it means. [5813.02] Jack: And it is. [5815.02] Jack: So take that, Georgia. [5822.02] Jack: Frank used implore exactly the same way I did. [5827.02] Jack: And he was correct. [5829.02] Jack: And Frank's not an idiot. [5832.02] Jack: Sorry. [5834.02] Jack: Oh, man. [5835.02] Jack: Well, shall we call it there? [5837.02] Jack: I think that's wise. [5838.02] Jack: Yeah, no worries. [5842.02] Jack: Dom, are you still there? [5846.02] Dom: Yeah, sorry. [5847.02] Jack: How are you feeling being like this is you're solely responsible for this existing? [5853.02] Jack: To be honest, I've sat here for about 30 minutes, stupefied. [5858.02] Dom: If I continue to talk and then go complete what you want to do, wait, wait, wait. [5866.02] Dom: Your birthday. [5867.02] Dom: Right. [5868.02] Dom: So you've got to blow out my lighter. [5870.02] Dom: Okay. [5871.02] Dom: We'll see if we can coordinate that on the hangout. [5873.02] Dom: All right. [5874.02] Dom: You count me in. [5876.02] Dom: All right. [5877.02] Dom: Three, two, one. [5879.02] Dom: Look at that. [5883.02] Jack: Happy birthday. [5885.02] Jack: That was possibly war game. [5888.02] Dom: I just watched that back on the hangout. [5890.02] Dom: It didn't work at all. [5893.02] Curry: David Payne would be wondering how that's done. [5898.02] Jack: Does anyone have any things like do you guys want to say a few things about your experience at Lechstone out? [5904.02] Jack: Other than Frank holding up a sign saying, please help me. [5909.02] AndyRC: My experience has ever since been part of Lechstone. [5913.02] AndyRC: I can no longer do goggle reviews because everybody says that I work for Fat Shark. [5921.02] AndyRC: Also, everybody thinks that I live in the north, which is true. [5928.02] AndyRC: Apparently, it probably is true. [5930.02] AndyRC: Near north to me. [5933.02] AndyRC: Yeah. [5934.02] AndyRC: So that's my experience. [5937.02] Jack: Yeah. [5938.02] Jack: Frank. [5939.02] AndyRC: Yes. [5943.1] AndyRC: Just silence. [5947.1] AndyRC: I think silence. [5949.1] Jack: Was there a question or were you just saying my name? [5952.1] Jack: Yeah. [5953.1] Jack: Like your experience that's thrown out your little two cents. [5956.1] Jack: Should we say Andy? [5957.1] AndyRC: Why do you still do it? [5961.1] Frank: Because if I don't set it up, then it won't happen. [5968.1] Jack: It's purely functional. [5971.1] Jack: Oh, come on. [5972.1] Jack: You've had some good times, haven't you? [5974.1] Frank: Yeah, of course. [5977.1] Frank: Okay. [5978.1] Frank: I think the best ones have definitely been when we've actually been meeting up. [5984.1] Frank: Yeah. [5985.1] Frank: Being the best times. [5986.1] Frank: When we've done Mini Airshow and met up there, when we've been out to Wales, when we've had ones in your room, [5993.1] Frank: those have been the best ones. [5995.1] Frank: I wish we all lived closer together in UK terms and could actually do it in a room on a regular basis. [6004.1] Frank: Yeah. [6006.1] Frank: Hangouts will have to do. [6008.1] Frank: Yeah. [6010.57] AndyRC: So when are we meeting next, guys? [6012.57] AndyRC: The UK Drones Show? [6015.57] AndyRC: Yes, definitely doing that. [6018.57] AndyRC: NEC? [6020.57] Frank: Yeah. [6021.57] Frank: You're doing it December, isn't it? [6023.57] Jack: I think so. [6025.57] Jack: Curry Kitten, your two cents on NEC Drone out? [6030.57] Jack: Mine might be sincere, sincerity warning. [6034.57] Curry: Yeah, I like it a lot. [6035.57] Curry: I'll tell you why, because having decided to do sort of drone stuff full time, [6040.57] Curry: which is kind of where I'm saying to my wife, [6042.57] Curry: hey, is it okay if I don't bring any money into the house and just mess around in my room? [6047.57] Curry: It's quite... [6049.57] Curry: You think that that'll happen in a fair? [6051.57] Curry: Yeah. [6052.57] Curry: It's like you're on your own all the time. [6054.57] Curry: So getting to chat to you guys, getting to talk to guests like Andy and Painless, [6060.57] Curry: because they do much the same things to me, it's really nice. [6062.57] Curry: And I wouldn't have the chance to talk to lots of people that we get on normally. [6067.57] Curry: So it's all very lovely. [6069.57] Curry: And I do enjoy hanging out with you guys, [6071.57] Curry: even if sometimes I have to do the MJ position and just do this a lot and sort of shake my head in disbelief. [6077.57] Curry: But that's all good too. [6079.57] Jack: Yeah, man. [6080.57] Jack: Yeah, I see it. At least you haven't got an STD or a second. [6083.57] Jack: Not yet, but I'll meet you on the mic. [6085.57] Jack: So who knows? [6086.57] AndyRC: Wait, wait, wait, wait. You guys are meeting up tomorrow. [6089.57] Jack: Yeah, in real life. [6091.57] Jack: Tony, are you still there? You're two cents of the show? [6095.57] AndyRC: Oh, he is still there. What? [6097.57] Jack: You're a dickhead. [6099.57] Jack: I'm so sorry, mate. I do actually like you and you are a really good friend. [6103.57] Jack: And I think you're a decent person other than you're really fucking annoying to me. [6110.57] Frank: Well, I'll call the ambulance because obviously Jack's had a stroke. [6115.57] Frank: I really can't smell toast. [6121.57] Frank: Tony? [6123.57] Frank: I think you might need to turn your volume up, Tony. [6125.57] Frank: We don't have it to stylus. [6127.57] Jack: Tony, don't vomit in my presence. I've told you about that. [6132.57] AndyRC: I think Tony's answering as a silent movie. [6145.98] AndyRC: Tony, I'll answer for Tony. Tony's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. [6149.98] AndyRC: He'll look after you. He's compassionate. [6152.98] AndyRC: And yeah, he's awesome. I like Tony. [6157.98] Curry: He will probably kill you a murder at some point. [6161.98] Curry: Yeah. [6163.98] (squeaky voices): So Tony said, yes, I love that's thrown out. [6167.98] (squeaky voices): It's really fun. And Jack's improved my life. [6173.98] (squeaky voices): And I love Joker vision the most in the world. [6178.98] (squeaky voices): And I would love to get made into a pair of Chinese handcuffs. [6184.98] AndyRC: Docking. [6185.98] AndyRC: Docking symbol. [6186.98] AndyRC: Docking symbol. [6187.98] (squeaky voices): And ERC and Joker each side. [6193.98] AndyRC: Joker vision is Danny and Danny is an awesome guy. [6196.98] AndyRC: I'm Emmett and he's a cool guy. [6200.98] (squeaky voices): Some might say a finkin' spit roast. [6204.98] Jack: That we can all enjoy. [6207.98] Jack: No worries. He's not coming back, is he? [6210.98] Jack: Right. Thank you. You've been listening to Let's Drone Out. [6214.98] Jack: We love you all, guys. [6218.98] Jack: Thank you for sticking with us for a whole three years. [6222.98] Jack: You've been joined by Andrew slash Frank. [6225.98] Jack: Bye. [6226.98] Jack: Andy R.C. [6228.98] AndyRC: Thank you for listening to our drill, everybody. Good night. [6232.98] Dom: Don Robinson. [6234.98] Jack: Happy birthday and I'm sorry. [6238.98] Jack: Tony, why can't you talk? That's weird. [6245.48] Jack: Tony said bye. [6247.48] Jack: And my favorite curry kitten. [6250.48] Jack: Bye. [6251.48] Jack: I can't wait for your sweet embrace tomorrow. [6254.48] Jack: It's going to be good. [6255.48] Jack: And I've been bright until I fly. [6258.48] Jack: And good night. [6260.48] Jack: Telemetry lost.
