[829.4] Frank: So Damer was on the line of sight stuff on the RAF field and then it swapped over.

[841.0] Frank: But it was also like the whole thing of bringing in the FPV guys was they were trying to find
[846.6] Frank: people who hadn't, who could sort of be shown going through the process of being trained up
[853.96] Frank: because they were trying to recreate the kind of the personal like interactions that they
[859.72] Frank: would have been in the Battle of Britain.
[860.84] Frank: So they had like the old school pilots who were like, knew what they were doing,
[866.52] Frank: bringing in the, you know, in the first episode, they brought in sort of pilots who flew but
[873.16] Frank: hadn't flown air shows before.
[875.0] Frank: And so they were kind of being trained up.
[877.56] Frank: So they were kind of representing the first wave of pilots that were brought into the Battle
[882.76] Frank: of Britain who were like your kind of private pilot's licenses,
[888.12] Frank: types of people then being trained up to be war pilots.
[891.16] Frank: And then the second episode was like, you've lost quite a few pilots.
[894.84] Frank: You need to bring in more pilots.
[896.28] Frank: And so these are kind of just your everyday people just being brought in and then trained
[902.12] Frank: up from scratch.
[903.16] Frank: But they couldn't really do that because it takes too long to teach someone to fly
[909.4] Frank: a radio control plane.
[910.6] Frank: So they figured, well, at least a quad pilot, an FPV pilot has the throttle control, you know,
[917.08] Frank: the stick control and has kind of enough muscle memory to feasibly do it in that period of time.
[924.92] Frank: So I think that's why they brought those guys in.
[928.81] Curry: I actually assumed that they just sort of edited bits and pieces to fit the story.

[1015.42] Frank: So one of the evenings when we were trying, the Germans brought over some spirits.

[1077.4] Frank: But yes, they kind of realized, oh, this is quite hard, but also fun.

[1252.49] Curry: I went to the Wooly Sheep event in Miskin Manor in Wales.

[1260.81] Curry: Driving into Miskin Manor, it is a proper decent five-star manor house hotel.
[1267.61] Curry: And I was just thinking, exactly what sort of blackmail are these guys getting?
[1272.49] Curry: To be able to fly there.
[1273.61] Curry: Because the instant you see a beautiful place like this, you think,
[1276.33] Curry: they're not being interested.

[1278.25] Curry: But the guy that owns the hotel is like a flying nut.
