[0.0] Jack: hey guys it's jack here big massive shout out to our patreons so these guys are the guys who donate
[9.76] Jack: for the editing and they really do make a huge difference to keep the show alive uh we've been
[17.52] Jack: sponsored by art falconer ferdy evas mike dread and under fluke these guys are absolute legends
[25.92] Jack: thank you so much and see you next show
[40.22] NJ: i think we're live good evening everyone and welcome to the christmas special of let's
[45.66] NJ: drone out i am nj tech and with me tonight we have the usual band of misfits and we have andrew
[51.82] NJ: slash frank good evening we have andy rc evening everyone we have a private drone investigator
[60.06] NJ: from gatwick uh tony hello tony bonjour and uh a special guest tonight is greg from menace rc
[68.38] NJ: hey greg hey good evening everyone so i guess we should probably kick things off by um talking
[76.22] NJ: about private investigator tony heading down to gatwick today which is the subject of much
[83.34] SPEAKER_04: controversy is there something going on at gatwick then apparently there was what was happening down
[87.26] NJ: there in jay well i'm gonna let you fill it in tony as you were there stood on your van with
[93.34] NJ: a pair of goggles looking incredibly inconspicuous to the numerous amount of press that was there
[99.18] AndyRC: um so yeah why don't why don't you take us through i can't believe i missed it i didn't
[103.5] AndyRC: even know i found out literally three minutes ago that this occurred and i'm gutted oh andy
[110.46] SPEAKER_04: i'm to catch up on my faceballs account you can have a look was it oh it's on it's on your facebook
[116.06] AndyRC: what did it it's posted on ldo facebook as well was it national news or like regional news just
[122.38] SPEAKER_04: so i can you know figure it's quite big news oh gatwick's been shut for 24 hours you know
[133.58] AndyRC: have we i think we've got a link now haven't we has it really been shut for 24 hours
[138.3] SPEAKER_04: yeah i woke up this morning and my facebook and chat has gone mad like drones over catwick and
[144.94] NJ: all this lot so okay i thought i'd go and have a look so you're very good at being concise and
[151.02] NJ: you've been following this quite closely today so why don't you give us a rundown of exactly
[155.66] Frank: what has happened today and where we are so at 9 p.m last night uh there were two uh drone reports
[165.74] Frank: of drones flying over the perimeter fence into getwick airport at night in the dark in the rain
[172.94] Frank: no less um and then they were so the runway was shut airport was shut down holding all the planes
[181.74] Frank: to go and find out what's going on and they couldn't find anything so they were about to
[187.9] Frank: open up again about three in the morning and then it was spot or something else was spotted again
[193.58] Frank: so it was shut again and that's been going on about to open up another one spotted close it
[199.82] Frank: all down again for yeah the past 24 hours um hasn't this happened before with getwick the last
[208.06] Frank: time it happened was in 2016 and that was when the secretary of state ended up saying oh maybe this
[213.34] AndyRC: was a plastic bag it always seems to be getwick is what i'm saying is what i'm getting at for some
[219.1] Frank: reason yeah this has been very different because this has had uh multiple police helicopters
[226.78] Frank: uh lots of police armed police snipers military wow getting involved i did not know that
[235.1] Frank: a full five stars on grand theft auto
[240.62] NJ: the five star chase and what do we know about the actual drone itself and sightings because
[245.58] NJ: i saw something in one of the articles saying i mean obviously these it's chinese whispers
[249.58] NJ: isn't it we end up with this stupid thing of of uh things going from for instance a plastic bag up
[255.42] NJ: to oh it had weapons on it and guns and it was doing industrial is what i heard yeah i don't
[262.22] Frank: know what that means but you know big so it's been so basically we have no information and some
[270.3] Frank: people have been making uh sort of guesses and then people have been reporting on those guesses
[276.94] Frank: and so that gets reported and so that's the news and so other people are reporting it as fact and
[281.98] Frank: it all gets very messy very quickly um there's that's kind of the media cycle i love an alternative
[288.94] NJ: fact um what was it that um tony was saying to me that you said there has been one video
[294.78] SPEAKER_04: possibly there's a video now i've seen a video but there's no clear evidence that is at getwick
[302.06] SPEAKER_04: i mean you just see a drone flying through the air and a couple of people going oh i'm saying
[307.18] Frank: something yeah it's the daily mail so it's not right okay you know forget the credibility of
[313.26] SPEAKER_04: that then yeah exactly i mean i was there i went down to the end of getwick this morning
[319.34] SPEAKER_04: about 9 9 30 am yes talk us through that talk us through what i just went down there and just
[325.42] SPEAKER_04: i just took my goggles just to see if there was anyone took your goggles and flew over the
[332.3] AndyRC: perimeter
[336.3] NJ: shall i take a drone no so you didn't actually have a drone with you because the police
[343.98] SPEAKER_04: i was just telling them what to look out for and how far they can fly and the weather conditions
[349.82] SPEAKER_04: could make the battery cold you know so you just decided to do that then you weren't contact
[355.5] SPEAKER_04: yeah no no i just went down there because i was working i work in hawley which is really close to
[360.62] SPEAKER_04: getwick uh so i was working in the area today did you bribe anyone tony to get no private
[367.74] SPEAKER_04: involved today oh wow i just stood on top of my van so i could see right down the runway and it's
[374.78] SPEAKER_04: so eerily quiet all around the area because there's always planes coming in and out i think
[379.74] NJ: is the video because someone videos you like took a video of the tv with your little interview on it
[386.7] SPEAKER_04: yeah there was there was a guy from channel five who
[392.22] NJ: is it on our ldo page because it's on the ldo facebook page yeah you haven't seen it guys
[396.86] NJ: go over and see ldo facebook page and you can have a look at that but the opening shot
[402.06] NJ: is tony tony being filmed standing on his van with his goggles down just turning his head to
[408.54] NJ: look around so yeah i can imagine that well you know i had my menace set up on so if i could see
[414.94] Greg: great advertising there you go checking the post
[421.18] SPEAKER_04: but no there was you know i just thought oh if there's gonna be if it's gonna be an fbv or i'm
[426.06] SPEAKER_04: gonna be able to tune into their channel obviously it's not it's it was probably a light bridge or
[431.58] SPEAKER_04: some kind of dji drone probably nothing if it was a drone because we were there ages and we saw
[437.5] SPEAKER_04: nothing i spoke to the guy with the big camera on his shoulder there was guys with big lenses you
[443.42] SPEAKER_04: know taking pictures right down the runway and they didn't see anything all day they were there
[449.58] SPEAKER_04: hours before me and they hadn't seen anything and i was working in hawley all day which is
[455.02] SPEAKER_04: right next to gatwick and it was eerily quiet because you can normally hear planes taking off
[459.02] NJ: and everything i mean it's a funny thing isn't it because you wonder who's i would think the first
[464.94] NJ: person to spot a drone and if it was at night it would have to have some kind of illumination
[470.94] NJ: because again it's the black sky with no lights on it you very likely wouldn't have seen it even
[475.42] NJ: if you're in the cockpit but it was probably i would think a pilot report because i don't think
[480.78] NJ: gatwick have anyone stationed on drone lookout um i wouldn't have thought not yet maybe maybe
[489.1] AndyRC: they do because they have bird watch outs you know if you were if you ever at a at an airfield and
[495.1] AndyRC: hear a massive bang that is somebody um with a gun scaring birds away can i just say something in
[505.02] SPEAKER_04: the chat richard harvard said tony standing on his van is normal height for most people
[512.46] SPEAKER_04: funny funny rich that's not fair you're not a short guy terror are you
[518.7] SPEAKER_04: i'm not tall but that was funny so i'll give you net happy christmas richard you bastard
[525.1] NJ: sorry water for lava but yeah interesting whether you know obviously there's this speculation
[535.42] NJ: as there was the last time as to whether there is actually a drone and they'll have to be i mean
[542.22] NJ: you've got to back that up pretty substantially than to just throw out a rumor and then ground
[547.58] NJ: i mean those planes basically they they absolutely hemorrhage money whilst they're on the ground the
[552.86] NJ: only time those planes own money is when they're in the air and it's you know thousands and
[556.54] NJ: thousands of pounds every few minutes you know it's a lot of cash so to have that many planes
[561.26] NJ: grounded had to be you would think based on something very credible and something of serious
[566.94] NJ: concern be it be it the size of the drone that was the concern or the number of drones or you know
[573.74] NJ: there must be something credible for this to happen if not you know what was the other thing
[578.46] NJ: we were saying is it another computer let's do a conspiracy thing shall we is it another computer
[583.18] NJ: crash at gapwick and they're like quick blame the drones while we try if they if they blame the
[587.5] SPEAKER_04: drones they don't have to pay out because it's an act of gold or something like that
[594.3] SPEAKER_04: act of thumbs yeah well you know it's that kind of a thing i think what's kind of what's going
[601.02] AndyRC: to be annoying about this as well is their concern was is probably um like from a terror
[608.94] AndyRC: perspective you know i i think that is probably why um yeah they should you know so there's this
[618.62] AndyRC: fear of um terrorists using drones to uh to weaponize crash into planes and stuff like that
[628.38] AndyRC: except i don't think that it's taken like that it's just taken as drones in general are bad
[636.22] AndyRC: with which i'll be if you think about it it couldn't have been a dgi model because it wouldn't
[642.78] NJ: let it fly that close oh unless it's hanged yeah you can hack them can't you there are
[648.7] NJ: websites where you can download the hack software but on the whole it's most people wouldn't do that
[654.54] Frank: though yeah i agree most people wouldn't do that well they're all treating it now as that someone
[660.3] Frank: is purposefully going out to cause trouble this isn't like someone doesn't know what they're doing
[665.1] Frank: and has flown a drone airport to get some good shots this is someone is going out there to stop
[669.58] Frank: the airports at christmas time to cause a maximum amount of destruction and economic trouble
[674.54] Frank: and then they're also saying but we're not treating this as terrorism but that is terrorism
[679.82] Frank: isn't that that is that is what terrorism is causing as much trouble as possible the thing is
[687.66] AndyRC: you know it wouldn't be somebody in our world doing it in our community or at least i would
[694.62] AndyRC: hope not there's only been one case of that when somebody dived that remember that plane coming
[700.78] AndyRC: and to land it and they dived whilst it was doing it but i would say in general like i you know
[710.86] AndyRC: if it if it was it'd probably have to be a custom rig is what i'm saying like you know
[716.62] AndyRC: something that doesn't isn't geofence they're not all about business and maybe
[722.14] SPEAKER_04: i i spoke to a customer today who said she was sitting in a conservatory she lives pretty close
[728.7] SPEAKER_04: to gatwick in hawley she was sitting at conservatory and she heard a drone at 9 p.m
[735.02] SPEAKER_04: and i said are you sure it was a drone she said i know the difference between the buzzing noise
[739.74] SPEAKER_04: and a proper helicopter i was like was it raining and she said no it wasn't raining so she may have
[747.42] SPEAKER_04: heard saying she didn't look out so she didn't see anything she heard something that she assumed
[752.94] SPEAKER_04: was a drone it's really not at 9 p.m but it was raining where i was at 9 p.m i remember it was
[759.5] SPEAKER_04: peeing down and i'm just up pee's pottage i'm up from gatwick probably four or five miles
[766.14] SPEAKER_04: but in hawley where she was she said at 9 p.m when she heard it wasn't raining at that particular
[771.02] SPEAKER_04: time it's really sad she didn't put too into to give it till them till she saw the news in the
[776.7] AndyRC: morning like this year i i've never had any backlash or any any one come up to me and
[785.5] AndyRC: anytime anyone's come up to me while i'm flying they've been interested in this year
[790.54] AndyRC: people have been very hostile um like it when i've been flying and it's that's what makes me sad
[800.46] AndyRC: because nothing for me has changed in two years you know it's just just just these cases that
[807.82] AndyRC: people see on the news gatwick close 24 hours and then they'll see me flying a drone and and then
[814.7] AndyRC: come and want to whack whack me in the head or something you know it's just really it's uh it's
[822.14] AndyRC: sad and are we on borrowed time do you reckon now because you know it's pretty it's pretty bad
[827.98] Frank: whatever's happened isn't it but they're saying industrial so i don't they're changing the story
[833.66] Frank: all the time because it's it's the news cycle i mean we've had this before they've gone held
[839.1] Frank: to leather about it and then by the time the actual facts come out they've dropped it and
[842.86] Frank: they've gone on to something else i imagine you know it won't be long before this falls under the
[849.9] Frank: under the bridge and and we won't have to worry about this anymore from yeah but big though isn't
[855.02] SPEAKER_04: it it's shot gatwick for 24 hours there's a lot of money involved yeah i reckon it's amazon
[863.98] AndyRC: yeah trying to clear the air trying to clear the airways we can get you some money you shite down
[870.14] NJ: they're testing up around my way sort of cambridge area so they're they're a long way up from from
[875.66] NJ: gatwick but um yeah for me it's just uh it's just a scapegoat until i see something more substantial
[882.86] NJ: in terms of evidence mc creation's made a good point the airport should really start to think
[887.42] NJ: about being prepared for this kind of stuff if if it's going to cost this kind of money um huge
[893.98] NJ: amounts huge huge amounts of money um every time the planes have to be grounded because of a
[899.82] NJ: sighting for which there's as i said nothing's proved yet so we'll you know this is how good
[906.3] SPEAKER_04: a job would it be if they employed a couple of us lads to fly our racing drones up into a drone
[914.3] SPEAKER_04: that might have come into the area we could like knock them out of the sky you know get employed
[919.42] AndyRC: to do that that'd be nice job wouldn't it yeah i think there'd be a lot of sitting around tony and
[924.78] AndyRC: you and jack sitting sitting around together like that i think oh my god it'd be death in about 24
[931.58] Frank: hours you'd be dead where is jack i think i was gonna say because uh jack isn't here that must
[937.98] Frank: mean he must have got his old wooden boom copter out and taken that up and he's gone flying off
[943.42] AndyRC: to gatwick he's just lost it and lost the plot and taking his yeah his tricopter up there and
[950.86] AndyRC: yeah no it's a it's a shame but i'm i'm looking forward to seeing tony on the tv that's awesome
[957.42] AndyRC: i like i like watching tony on the the the i series thing that was cool were you wearing
[963.18] SPEAKER_04: your lecture and out top on tv term oh this time i was advertising my a1 window cleaning
[971.98] SPEAKER_04: which the ladies don't like apparently as soon as i tell a girl i'm a glazing hygienist like oh
[978.54] SPEAKER_04: no you had the uh ldo sticker on your goggles yes and menace patch and menace you know
[985.1] NJ: anyway let's get on to menace probably what a segue perfect segue so greg how are you what's
[992.14] NJ: been uh what's been happening in the world with menace yeah whenever it seems like you've gone
[995.82] NJ: quiet i i know that you're secretly in your back cave coming up with new designs and products so
[1002.38] Greg: you know what what's what's happening hey yeah um yeah it's all good in the world of menace um
[1008.78] Greg: yeah you're quite right um i have been beaver in a way working on a few um a few more creations and
[1014.86] Greg: stuff um i've also been making a few discoveries on performance issues and things and how we
[1023.5] Greg: how we mount things on the drones and things like that so hopefully yeah this evening i'd
[1029.1] Greg: just like to sort of breeze over a few of those things and also talk about a few products and
[1034.38] Greg: um things like that and then if there's any sort of questions and things like that we can go into
[1039.42] Greg: that and if it runs over we can um we can try and provide more information about this um through
[1046.54] Greg: through our media channels or something but um yeah that sounds like a great idea i'm sure
[1050.94] NJ: there's plenty of subscribers salivating already so um cool so look i can i can i just start with
[1058.62] Greg: a new product can i do that do it all right well look today we've just been posting everywhere
[1064.46] Greg: that we've we've just done our very first um 2.4 gigahertz fpv antenna um i've started at the point
[1074.7] Greg: where i started with menace so we started with the invader and what we've done is come up with a
[1080.7] Greg: 2.4 gigahertz version nice look at that 2.4 drone hunting needs exactly what you need for hunting
[1090.7] Greg: drones it can't wait i love the name the numbskull yes yeah absolutely just quickly that's that's
[1098.62] NJ: quite impressive that you've got the size that's good yeah because normally the 2.4 stuff
[1103.58] NJ: um can i mean i've got some old 2.4 patch antennas and they are colossal so you've
[1110.3] NJ: actually done quite well to keep that uh that size uh well what's this that i've got here oh here we go
[1118.46] Greg: yeah well we um we we were looking at these new um modules for goggles that are coming out these
[1126.38] Greg: diversity ones for 2.4 i mean true d have got their one haven't they absolutely and i mean up
[1132.94] Greg: until the point that we had the crossfire and things like that um 5.8 on the goggles was the
[1137.82] Greg: most common thing but now everyone's going over to crossfire crossfire frequencies or the other
[1144.86] Greg: the um fr sky at 868 megahertz means we can now get onto 2.4 quite quite easily on the goggles
[1152.94] Greg: and the diversity modules that are there they they they it's a really good module but again i
[1161.1] SPEAKER_04: wasn't so sure about me sorry jack told me i've got a light of one of these if the donation is over
[1171.18] SPEAKER_04: um 20 bucks so rdf pv is just donated 50 quid here you go andy i see merry christmas it says
[1180.62] SPEAKER_04: that's very fine thank you rdf pv you're thank you mate you're a legend rdf pv thank you so
[1187.18] NJ: merry christmas rdf we're gonna need some kind of music to go with that for the next episode
[1191.34] AndyRC: aren't we tony that it looks like you are so scared
[1197.5] SPEAKER_04: well where do i put it out i don't want to waste the rest of my wine
[1201.82] SPEAKER_04: come on in the wine tony that'll explode as well thank you rdf pv sorry to interrupt you greg but
[1212.22] Greg: that's a new part of the show oh my word so yeah um so we're trying out some of the modules um the
[1219.26] Greg: 2.4 in the goggles and the the sort of current offering antennas on the market they were either
[1225.42] Greg: um not very good or they were extraordinarily expensive and rather large so that's why i set
[1232.62] AndyRC: about um first of all doing a patch um because the furious have got there sorry to interrupt
[1239.98] AndyRC: but furious have got their own yes which i've got here i've shown it on the show before and it
[1245.5] NJ: yeah it's absolutely massive coves aren't small unfortunately that's just the nature of uh 2.4
[1252.94] AndyRC: yeah so that's that's also the problem isn't it i mean i'm um you've sent me this i'm currently
[1258.62] AndyRC: in the process of like thinking right what frame do i use that's going to how is this
[1264.86] AndyRC: huge uh antenna that i've got because it is it is massive when i do i will be doing it um
[1272.7] NJ: going into next year it'll be on i think on my six inch more than i take yeah i mean 2.4 is perfect
[1279.66] Greg: for six inch seven inch drones wings things like that it's perfect yeah um yeah so
[1287.58] Greg: with this antenna it's an eight dbi patch um i've shown it before but that's that's the furious
[1297.1] AndyRC: non-patch yeah beyond the beyond the yeah yeah it's massive yeah one crash and that's the squashed
[1304.94] AndyRC: nest though that's absolutely they have a patch as well which i can't seem to find
[1311.42] AndyRC: um they did send it to me but i think i lost it but yeah they've got their own patch but it
[1317.34] AndyRC: um yeah i haven't tried any of it so yeah i need it's getting it's getting the quad built
[1325.18] AndyRC: but what i did find interesting though is um i then i thought well are we gonna go back are
[1332.86] AndyRC: we not going to have smart audio but furious their vtx has um that its own protocol that has
[1340.46] AndyRC: gone into beta fly i can't remember what it's called but it'll have smart audio to switch
[1345.9] Greg: the channels which is pretty cool sorry anyways back to you no worries no worries so yeah eight
[1352.86] Greg: eight dbi you're on 2.4 gigahertz 2.4 is a bigger waveform it naturally travels further
[1359.9] Greg: um we've been doing a bit of range testing with this one um real world and so far 17 and a half
[1367.98] Greg: kilometers nice nice so it's gonna it's gonna cover pretty much whatever you want to do with
[1374.78] Greg: your wing or your quad or anything like that you're gonna have a nice strong signal at all times
[1379.82] AndyRC: my worry about 2.4 video is yeah everything's on 2.4 so isn't isn't doesn't like if you were to
[1389.18] AndyRC: fly close to an estate would would wi-fi and all of that you can say that most routers have also
[1395.02] NJ: got a 5.8 band and it's about the reserve that the reserve band for 2.4 for aerial use um does
[1402.3] NJ: anyone know the do you know the answer that greg in terms of what what reserve bands we have uh
[1408.06] NJ: aerial things on 2.4 what sorry what do you mean like video transmission for video transmission
[1415.58] Greg: what do you mean like as opposed to the digital transmission or yeah as opposed to all the other
[1420.46] NJ: things that are floating around on 2.4 um is there a specific area or is it um how's that um how's
[1428.06] NJ: that handled in terms of especially if you're at a field and you've got a load of people on fr sky
[1432.7] NJ: that are with on 2.4 as well with their transmitters but you're the only one on crossfire with the 2.4
[1438.62] Greg: video how much how many how much of a problem are you gonna have you're you're gonna have a problem
[1444.46] Greg: um it's as simple as that i mean 2.4 video if you've got someone on a 2.4 transmitter or you've
[1450.46] Greg: got a digital 2.4 signal nearby you're gonna have a problem so yeah it's like um if you're flying
[1458.06] Greg: out a flying field or like we do we're out in the countryside and there's no no no one else around
[1463.82] Greg: or we're all on crossfire then you get an amazingly clear signal on 2.4 so um that you
[1470.3] Greg: know that's you've just got to be aware of your environment and where you're flying so if you're
[1475.18] Greg: in the city and you're going to go and use 2.4 um i'll probably say forget it stick with your 5.8
[1482.14] Greg: keep your 2.4 radio on the digital because that's working in the packets and so on so yeah
[1490.3] NJ: yeah so i mean the obviously the nice thing with the 2.4 as well being that longer wavelength
[1495.98] NJ: it's uh as as inherent with all longer wavelengths it's it's also got that ability to bend around
[1501.98] NJ: objects and and go through more solid things uh whereas the the higher frequency stuff always
[1507.98] NJ: compare it to listening to your mate list your mate on the other side the other side of the wall
[1513.9] NJ: in the other room listening to his music the bit that annoys you in here is the bass the long
[1519.66] NJ: frequencies the ones that penetrate through solid objects and curve around stuff whereas
[1523.82] NJ: all the high end frequencies like the treble and all that stuff stays in the room with him but if
[1529.34] NJ: you're next door it's the the low frequencies you hear very very similar situation with your um
[1534.94] NJ: your video frequencies so um i suppose from a TBS point of view that's that's a great thing
[1541.34] NJ: because they've always said if you can see on 5.8 you can fly with your T bit with crossfire because
[1548.62] NJ: you know we're near testing the range of the crossfire as long as you can see if you start
[1553.26] NJ: losing video doesn't matter you still know when you're testing your crossfire's range
[1557.9] NJ: with 2.4 you now have that option to so i guess for the bando stuff as well there's all these
[1562.7] NJ: other things that open up to you as a pilot if you then switch to the 2.4 um video spectrum so
[1570.86] NJ: that's exciting but as you say we've got that small issue of uh interference from other so
[1576.54] AndyRC: so did you say let's just say something that we're used to now because of frequency hopping is
[1583.02] AndyRC: the um obviously we know that we don't plug our quads in when other people are flying because
[1589.1] AndyRC: that could knock them out but transmitters if if if say you know we've got one person that's
[1596.62] AndyRC: running this 2.4 system if someone turned on their tyrannis would that knock out their video
[1604.14] Greg: if they were like close to you it would it would it certainly would have effect when you 2.4 gigahertz
[1611.42] AndyRC: video yes yeah so i suppose that is the thing that because because we've gotten so used to like
[1618.46] AndyRC: like just turning on our transmitters because we know it it doesn't affect anyone's video but in
[1623.58] AndyRC: this case um it would so i guess you know if you're flying with a group of people you're going to
[1629.9] AndyRC: have to have that conversation look uh you know so we know that crossover point because obviously
[1637.34] NJ: on 5.8 there are specific bands aren't there like uh fat shark have their own section of bands and
[1644.78] NJ: you've got bands in the spectrum that are assigned for different uh you know for different areas in
[1649.58] NJ: the 5.8 spectrum do we have that with obviously there is that on 2.4 but do we know where the
[1656.78] AndyRC: crossover is in that spectrum well you've got systems you've got ghosting you've got ghosting
[1663.42] AndyRC: issues though as well haven't you so even if it's not there you you know the the the ghosting of
[1670.14] NJ: of that section uh you know so in other words the only way to uh truly overcome it is the way
[1677.1] NJ: everyone does on the choir which is just to add masses of power
[1684.38] AndyRC: on someone's television or or have a pegboard or something and go back to pegboard i think we
[1690.3] AndyRC: should go back to what ages ago we had pegboards because you had to but for fpv for some reason
[1699.82] AndyRC: we've all just decided to go turn it on and then and then and hope that no one's quad
[1708.54] AndyRC: falls out of the air which it quite often does i still say that when i'm on the field paring on
[1714.78] NJ: so yeah great just just going to plant the seed if you haven't uh yeah yeah
[1720.22] NJ: already and you probably have but i'm going to have you thought about a quadcopter end solution
[1727.82] NJ: for the 2.4 antenna in terms of something more robust than say what andy's shown us today rather
[1734.06] NJ: than a big 2.4 clove that could be quite easily crushed is there any thoughts for solutions on
[1739.66] Greg: the quad end that you have yes
[1748.46] Greg: yes so there's a there's a design in progress um probably probably some point at the early part
[1754.06] Greg: of next year we should be in a position to um give some information about that fantastic and
[1761.5] NJ: how is just out of interest because one thing that i i think opened people's eyes a little bit
[1766.22] NJ: was that you can still get with the right antenna much like the bandicoot some very good
[1772.22] NJ: quality signals from just using a whip antenna on the quad um in the right environment you know
[1777.58] NJ: there are places certain environments where that doesn't work so well but there are environments
[1780.94] NJ: where that will work sufficiently and obviously a whip antenna is significantly more robust
[1785.82] NJ: than most uh clove leaf uh style antennas so um have you done any testing using whip style antennas
[1793.26] NJ: on 2.4 on the quadcopter and has that worked no i'm admittedly no i haven't done any work on
[1800.62] Greg: the linear side yet um it's all been with omni omni circular and polarized antennas so yeah um
[1809.18] Greg: that's something that we could have a look at because i mean it does it does just work quite
[1813.26] Greg: well um i mean with our bandicoot and the small little whip antennas that we were originally um
[1819.82] Greg: aiming at sort of tiny whoops and things like that but that seems to have moved now into
[1824.22] Greg: the sort of two inch three inch four inch size absolutely as well now and i often often i
[1830.78] NJ: forget i mean it's partly i'm like you i live in the sticks and and that tends to work favorably
[1836.3] NJ: for me i'm not racing in a giant tin container warehouse where that would just be completely
[1841.34] NJ: implausible um in the environments i'm flying the whip and the bandicoot have actually been
[1847.34] NJ: at they've been brilliant you know i dare say it's a big part down to your awesome bandicoot
[1853.18] NJ: designed antenna but there i've done a you know reviewed and flown and done a lot of freestyle
[1858.14] NJ: with with those two 2.5 inch quads and under and and that antenna performs fantastically so
[1865.1] NJ: i'll assume that's a little bit later down the road but um yeah it'd be interesting to see how
[1869.18] NJ: that works out yeah absolutely oh we've got another donation just quickly richard hardwood
[1878.22] NJ: thank you very much i've done i like a sparkler for that one okay five pound for a spark
[1884.78] NJ: there you go richard hardwood we're gonna have to get some music for this thank you richard
[1890.94] SPEAKER_04: this is your little sparkler and i'll shout out richard hardwood everyone
[1898.62] SPEAKER_04: it smells really nice in my room yeah i'm laughing on that one thanks rich
[1906.94] Greg: so sorry greg as you were yeah so that's our that's our 2.4 offering and that's our first
[1915.1] Greg: venture into 2.4 gigahertz so they're they're available now they're up on the um up on the
[1920.62] Greg: website and they're going to be hitting the shops over the christmas period so yeah who comes up
[1927.1] SPEAKER_04: with the names greg uh is it just you whoa hold up what then is that real is that a pound or not
[1937.26] AndyRC: i've got the uh sorry to interrupt but it's the ice man real this is the furious patch
[1948.38] AndyRC: can you see this is the furious patch that they that they send so that's about 10 pounds tony oh
[1954.62] AndyRC: my god with this antenna so that's that's that's their version i'll be it's all going a bit mad
[1962.06] NJ: joe skis too sparkless please tony we've had a tea carnation joe ski fpv thank you very much
[1968.94] NJ: and ed ed bruce brag how the devil are you sir that's very common thank you there you go this
[1976.3] SPEAKER_04: one could be it i'll do joe skis in a minute if i don't catch you just look you not just want
[1982.46] SPEAKER_04: me to catch fire i was gonna say people are just paying that was good yeah they just want me to die
[1989.1] SPEAKER_04: all right that one was ed's here's joe skis people like this bit in the show i think there you go
[1999.5] SPEAKER_04: i'll keep it away from my furry pound shop hat which probably isn't fireproof
[2006.14] NJ: explain to me what the ice man has done there okay what is that that's norwegian krona okay
[2012.78] Frank: okay now now okay so how much is that the hundred krona is about 10 pounds that's about 10 pounds
[2021.66] SPEAKER_04: okay well then you get some sparkle a little there you go i'll keep it back
[2030.78] SPEAKER_04: happy christmas ice man when joe ski all right just live stream fire went
[2038.14] SPEAKER_04: yeah i just sit here trying not to catch fire your smoke alarm hasn't done i know i've got two
[2046.22] SPEAKER_04: in here because this house when i bought this house i bought it and then looked on youtube and
[2053.74] SPEAKER_04: you can see my house on fire
[2059.18] SPEAKER_04: i bought it and then searched and googled where i lived and it was on fire
[2065.02] SPEAKER_04: i bought it and i was like what have i done it's all good it's all good smells really nice in here
[2073.1] SPEAKER_04: it's like a bonfire night and they're like oh gremsey creations what's one
[2080.38] NJ: this has got to be the single oh we've got oh mc creations we've got another one
[2086.22] AndyRC: have you got enough
[2091.9] SPEAKER_04: i'm running low now running low but this is in the mid of november
[2100.78] NJ: five dollar donation from mc creations i'm very
[2103.58] NJ: thanks guys thank you everyone happy christmas they're uh they're roughly five dollars a spark
[2111.5] NJ: so you uh at some point we'll turn profit
[2119.58] NJ: greg sorry for the most disruptive presentation ever it's like presenting to a bunch of children
[2131.18] NJ: obviously they're part of this disruptive bunch we've got 91 people watching i'm so
[2137.34] SPEAKER_04: they love the fireworks that's that's big talent we're gonna have to have the indoor fireworks
[2142.38] SPEAKER_04: thing you know like them things you light and then the big thing go oh look we got another one
[2147.1] SPEAKER_04: call this mule and green patches i'm going to do both of you at the same time you could stand by
[2153.18] NJ: how many of these you have because if you've run our sparkless savings can i end in nudity
[2159.82] Frank: oh yeah i'm very nudity i've been on the moose maybe we have to uh oh this one was like
[2167.1] SPEAKER_04: save it it's one massive firework oh my god that is green patches and
[2173.26] SPEAKER_04: varnished fuel thank you all one yet it is from the pound shop because there's gonna be no
[2181.42] SPEAKER_04: like fireproofing on my hat is it oh god getting off to here that'd be christmas thank you sorry
[2188.78] SPEAKER_04: greg i'm running low so we can't go here i want to say hello to my brother terry
[2197.26] SPEAKER_04: i'm starting to watch him for the first time we don't really do this every time terry we do we do
[2206.38] NJ: and and far worse do you bear yeah so that's your your 2.4 system uh in a nutshell and that
[2213.26] NJ: is out over christmas so people can go to the menace rc website and they'll be able to
[2217.74] NJ: start getting hold of those and um have you got any recommendations in terms of 2.4 modules or
[2225.02] NJ: systems or is that really kind of a pretty small choice at the minute in terms of uh what what we
[2229.82] Greg: can put on our goggles and importantly what we can put on the quad um there's there's a few options
[2234.94] Greg: out there there's the there's the favor you know like you've got the immersion rcd um 2.4 tbs to
[2241.66] Greg: do 2.4 um but furious also do 2.4 but they do the module that pops into your fat shot goggles
[2249.5] Greg: so um you know if you want if you want a neat solution just get one of those furious modules
[2255.02] AndyRC: yeah that's what that's what i've got in this bag i just need to um build the model but you know
[2261.66] NJ: what what's funny about this every time andy someone references something that andy needs to
[2266.22] NJ: talk about whatever we whatever it's always with the french so all i can think of is there's
[2271.82] NJ: just behind the monitor there's a big circular wall just out of view that is just stacked for
[2276.14] Frank: the products slowly he's got his assistant the other side he's running around madly trying to
[2282.3] AndyRC: find these things well as soon as i saw greg came on i switched my camera off and went and grabbed
[2288.86] AndyRC: all the stuff that's how i do it you see i'm getting good at this podcast business you know
[2295.66] AndyRC: i've got everything here in fact um i thought it was interesting
[2300.94] NJ: are you lighting them because you like it now zero fb
[2307.34] SPEAKER_04: you're not allowing a couple of people who've stopped patreon because um
[2312.54] SPEAKER_04: just what the patreon's doing but they're still gonna support us like this i hope so
[2317.9] SPEAKER_04: there you go great um zero thank you very much he's been a lot of avid listeners from the start
[2323.18] AndyRC: we love zero i noticed my patreon uh decrease here so i don't know what's going on with that
[2329.34] AndyRC: you talked about it last week didn't you i can't remember what the reason was though some terms and
[2334.94] AndyRC: condition i find patreon like very like like unuser friendly as well like it's i guess like
[2344.62] AndyRC: facebook um it needs to be more like facebook really in the way like someone will say like
[2350.94] AndyRC: i'll get a mail saying somebody has uh sent you a uh post and then i go on patreon and i can't find
[2359.26] AndyRC: it and the only way that i can find it is if i click on the email that i've got sent it's um
[2365.9] AndyRC: yeah it needs work i think patreon but frank can you um frank can you show greg as main screen
[2375.02] SPEAKER_04: and can you hold up the patch antenna again i just want to look at it because it's so cool
[2378.7] Frank: look at that this is another thought does it work as a transmitting antenna on like an fr sky
[2389.42] NJ: x light or something that's a very good question that's a very good question could we stick those
[2394.22] NJ: onto our onto the uh our fr sky radios and use those as a focused beam for a long range 2.4
[2406.06] Greg: i reckon it worked
[2410.06] Greg: it's circular so that's a good point yeah so you're gonna lose a little bit aren't you because
[2415.74] Greg: there's a cross polarization from circular to linear but it'll work um i have been playing
[2423.1] Greg: with one of these designs linear on the uh tyrannics as well so um what did you put on the
[2431.5] AndyRC: copter so i know i know nj asked about um have you played around with linear on the copter but
[2438.3] AndyRC: what antenna did you put on the copter or plane or whatever for the testing um for the for the
[2444.86] Greg: current testing we used a tbs on the antenna right okay yeah yeah i have 97 people live today
[2455.5] AndyRC: you tell them that you want the news with your let's with your let's drone out sticker they all
[2461.1] SPEAKER_04: what is that that's the idea to get that stick really menace patch on there you know i'm like
[2467.26] AndyRC: no the reason uh the reason i ask is i know there's there's a chap that that does long range
[2472.86] AndyRC: i've talked about him a lot his name's bone a fiery pirate yeah yeah he he flies kilometers at a time
[2480.7] AndyRC: and he he actually uses 1.3 and he sticks with linear just just because um it's such a um
[2490.62] AndyRC: oh what long wavelength the the none of this uh you know hope circular polarization or anything
[2498.46] AndyRC: like that really needs to be done he doesn't find it beneficial and of course um i i've got here
[2507.18] AndyRC: um this this is a 1.3 gigahertz uh cloverly antenna how big is it it's gonna be beast yeah there you go
[2518.62] AndyRC: so that's 1.3 that's huge and then that's 2.4 the only other thing i noticed when i when i had seen
[2527.74] NJ: long long time ago 1.3 used on a glider compared to something like 5.8 is you will notice a decreased
[2534.38] NJ: in picture quality quality of the update rate um so on 5.8 you get incredibly crisp beautiful
[2541.1] NJ: picture but you won't have the range as you go down with the longer wavelengths you'll you know
[2545.26] AndyRC: you won't get quite as nice a nice yeah if you go and check out bonafide pirates um youtube it was
[2552.3] AndyRC: a couple of years ago but why where's he based um i've uh it's america Louisiana is 1.3 and 1.2
[2562.14] AndyRC: illegal here for video use i think yeah yeah no they they definitely they're uh not not for ground
[2569.02] NJ: if that's right grounds but i think one isn't 1.2 still but i think 1.3 is grand fine but
[2574.46] NJ: no and 1.2 is no and no that's it even if you've got a ham license yeah uh i don't know why i've
[2580.94] AndyRC: got this thing i would never have one of them people people still people still use them don't
[2589.34] AndyRC: they and that's that's you know that's why you can you can get them um but yeah no uh what what
[2599.26] AndyRC: bonafide pirate did and i talked i've talked about it before but he built himself a little
[2604.62] AndyRC: hut because he like lives on a farm and he's got his own runway and everything and and um he uh
[2612.14] AndyRC: what was funny was like he because he'd been using 1.3 for so long um and we'd all been using
[2619.26] AndyRC: 5.8 he got sent a 5.8 antenna for review and he said oh i had to go and buy all all of this stuff
[2626.94] AndyRC: and what he does is he sits in this hut and he can literally fly around trees his house
[2634.46] AndyRC: go out for 10 miles and you get zero breakup whatsoever and then he put the 5.8 antenna on
[2643.26] AndyRC: and he he was he was actually crashing because um of the breakup and so that just shows you um
[2651.1] AndyRC: how much of a difference that it makes so 2.4 i think um yeah definitely will be better not as good
[2659.34] AndyRC: as 1.3 uh but obviously we can't do that so um i think it's a substantial jump in terms of of
[2667.26] NJ: range and clarity like i said i think for the i mean it's tricky isn't it because it would do it
[2673.98] NJ: would do same route for the people that want to fly bando and fly around that kind of stuff but
[2678.3] NJ: then it's that bit harder to fit onto uh five inch quad and the kind of size of quad you want
[2684.46] NJ: to fly around those places yeah i mean when you're when you're at a bando you're trying to get
[2688.86] NJ: through tiny gaps six or seven inch quad in those areas i mean people will probably do it anyway but
[2695.02] NJ: um interesting so greg um what was the um what were the other things that you wanted to uh so
[2701.02] Greg: yeah the other thing i wanted to talk about to you was um tpu you know the the material that we
[2708.14] Greg: use in our 3d printers um i've been working on a new antenna i'll show you it's just here one of
[2715.98] Greg: these little little antennas yeah a little stubby and um for racing and drones they're
[2724.3] Greg: mounting all the antennas in tpu very close to the um the body of the drone for the practical
[2730.78] Greg: reason of that is because if you're crashing and it's all tucked in you're not going to damage it
[2734.46] Greg: your antenna is going to last longer um but i was doing some comparative testing um of antennas
[2741.98] Greg: and i was i made this sort of um discovery don't tell me the material causes problems
[2749.18] AndyRC: oh mate it's horrendous really yeah it really is um this is bad news for engie by the way engie i
[2757.02] SPEAKER_04: think your 3d print's finished like it's only a christmas tree i'm just gonna throw it out
[2763.66] AndyRC: the windows they're gonna tpu mount by me yeah antenna mount oh no so what happens greg
[2773.5] Greg: where you see the small this small antennas so i'll hold one up there i'll try not to show the
[2777.98] Greg: brand and they mount the tpu so this is just a sleeve it's mounted um in like like this as such
[2786.86] Greg: so what's happening you're putting an extra bit of material around all the active parts of the
[2791.34] Greg: antenna and it is detuning the antenna how interesting it i've seen it shifting um
[2800.06] Greg: depending on the design of the antenna anywhere from 160 megahertz right up to 240 megahertz
[2808.38] Greg: wow what that means is it's pushing the tuning of that antenna outside of all the um all the
[2814.7] NJ: bands that we use that's quite a substantial shift as well so so it's not it's not at all
[2820.3] NJ: a transparent material whatever no bits are in there are causing are actually causing the
[2827.26] NJ: detuning of the antenna by that much but you heard it here first folks we've done a little
[2832.38] Greg: bit more research on it and all um every material has like um a hydroscopic value hydroscopic as in
[2841.26] Greg: the moisture content within the material so all plastics have it everything has it it just so
[2847.1] Greg: happens that tpu is is higher hydroscopic and it holds more moisture therefore you know rf doesn't
[2854.38] Greg: work well with moisture and that's what's happening so this is again i suppose another thing you know
[2860.38] NJ: i've only recently got into the 3d printing well within a month or so but one thing i have noticed
[2866.06] NJ: is the difference you get in your print qualities uh we've got a resident expert on 3d printing there
[2870.94] NJ: whichever way he is that way i think uh frank at the end he never he doesn't as he is yeah i know
[2877.26] AndyRC: he sits here and waits for us to say really stupid 3d printing and then he goes and tells all his
[2883.18] NJ: mates exactly yeah he's real friends yeah but the thing i noticed that was was really apparent was
[2890.94] NJ: that within a few days you can depending on your environment like here for instance i needed to dry
[2897.82] NJ: out a couple of my filaments where i had to actually put them in the oven and bake them for
[2901.1] NJ: an hour to try and get moisture out because it really affects the print and i know tpu especially
[2906.7] NJ: it will suck the moisture out the air so that's perhaps when it'd be interesting though if you
[2911.66] NJ: got the tpu filament really went to town drying it out for a couple of hours and then immediately
[2916.86] NJ: printed with it whether you get a better uh end result than one from like the one you tested
[2925.1] Greg: yeah absolutely i mean um where we where we have our um 3d printer um we we use a dehumidifier um
[2933.58] Greg: just purely to keep the moisture levels low and um i mean it helps with storage of electronic
[2938.06] Greg: components and everything like that um so i'd say where we are our moisture is not that high in with
[2944.62] Greg: regards to the content level but i mean in some countries they've got high humidity so i think
[2949.18] Greg: it's going to be even worse and what i'm experiencing here i mean also the the the
[2955.26] Frank: sort of the hygroscopic effect of it is it any moisture in the air um just prefers being in
[2962.78] Frank: certain plastics than it prefers being in the air um it just has a tendency to go that way
[2968.54] Frank: so um you can have it as dry as you like but if you take it outdoors on like a foggy day
[2977.02] Frank: it will absolutely fill it up immediately but even on you know a nice day with relatively low
[2983.66] Frank: humidity after you know a few days or a few hours or a few weeks depending on all the variables
[2990.62] Frank: it will absorb all that moisture in it it will find it from somewhere um and it can have all
[2996.14] Frank: that effect of changing all the dielectrics and all the things and yeah having those effects
[3002.94] NJ: yeah it's sort of um that's that's that's such an eye-opener but actually it's quite an obvious
[3008.86] NJ: thing isn't it the fact that you'd have so much moisture in the tpu and wrap right around the
[3014.14] SPEAKER_04: antenna housing so that's only only tpu greg or is it anything else well i also wanted to ask as
[3021.02] AndyRC: well that you spoke about them wrapping it around the antenna parts but what about using it just to
[3029.34] Greg: house your sma connector right so um what you've got in an antenna you've got um the active
[3036.3] Greg: element then you've got some coaxial cable or a or a connection or some description
[3042.78] Greg: if you're using the tpu um to hold the antenna and it's away from the active part of the antenna
[3049.1] Greg: actually so so you should be fine so look we might do that a lot you see for flexibility
[3054.94] NJ: yeah well that that's the part you're actually shielding which is only a good thing so if you
[3058.94] NJ: could wrap in loads of tpu are only helping the cause of of actual yeah so if you look if i don't
[3064.54] Greg: know if this is coming up on the screen yeah that's a nice frame but yeah here here we can see that
[3071.02] Greg: the um the tpu is holding the antenna um but this we've kept the active part which this this bit here
[3080.22] Greg: well away from the tpu we've also kept it well away um from the carbon plate as well
[3086.14] Greg: um so therefore we've done before and after tests of it mounted here and there's no change
[3092.94] Greg: whatsoever um so it really is you've got to keep that tpu away from the active the active
[3099.02] Greg: part of the antenna that's great information greg i think it will feel happy to have had that
[3104.38] AndyRC: bit of information and yeah so don't need to throw my tpu out completely because i actually
[3110.86] AndyRC: don't cover the antenna with anything it's just it's just to get the flex i think i didn't realize
[3117.18] AndyRC: people were putting t wrapping the whole thing around the antenna but i i guess it's i guess
[3123.1] Greg: they have some really bad crashes right and it's it's yeah i i would say if you're at a race you
[3127.98] Greg: would see sort of 80 to 90 percent of the drones have got the antenna wrapped in tpu wow that's
[3133.74] Greg: mad no wonder that they're getting terrible video signal then this is our other point because i
[3139.74] Greg: think what what has led me on to do now is that i will be performing all the antenna tests based
[3147.1] Greg: on maintaining our antennas in tpu mounting them in the final position on the drone so that we can
[3154.78] Greg: see that it's going to be immune to where it's being mounted whereas you know some other antennas
[3160.3] Greg: aren't immune i mean the great thing about the design we use the pagoda design it's got three
[3166.86] Greg: pcb's the bottom pcb is a balan that balan stops standing waves on the coax so if as long as we
[3175.42] Greg: mount that balan above the carbon we know that that antenna is not going to get affected by the
[3181.42] Greg: carbon the tpu or anything like that so we're going to have the clearest signals with our
[3185.58] Greg: antennas mounted not all antennas have got a balan but um that is that is like um what we're
[3192.78] Greg: going to sort of do and recommend for all our antennas now especially if you're doing like in
[3199.18] Greg: indoor racing where there's a lot of reflections and things like that because i haven't even gone
[3203.66] Greg: into the area of testing the antennas to see how that tpu band around it is going to affect
[3210.54] Greg: a the gain or b the actual ratio so i mean there's there's a whole load of more testing to be done on
[3216.38] Frank: this because i just to kind of clarify what what you were saying with it detuning it and
[3223.18] Frank: so that that 140 megahertz shift that's not saying that it's shifting the frequency that's
[3229.26] Frank: transmitted through antenna by 140 megahertz it's shifting the sort of the natural resonance of the
[3237.42] Frank: antenna so it means it would be less effective at transmitting at the frequency that we're
[3243.98] Greg: intending it to transmit yeah so essentially what's happening is that you you're detuning that
[3248.62] Greg: antenna you're still drive say you're driving it exactly 5.8 gigahertz and you've just moved it
[3252.94] Greg: let's call it 200 megahertz so now that antenna is at 5.6 gigahertz you're driving it at 5.8 if
[3260.06] Greg: you then look at the return loss curve the vswr curve um the vswr will show you a mismatch at
[3267.18] Greg: what the frequency you're driving it at therefore the efficiency of the transmission of that antenna
[3272.54] Greg: has gone down so why do you think you might have the latest antenna delivering you a whole 2db or
[3278.54] Greg: whatever it's rated at realistically it's going to be a lot less brilliant there's some really
[3287.44] AndyRC: interesting we are so close to a hundred viewers we're almost there if we get 100 i like this
[3294.64] NJ: the big one again why we're here can you please if you can smash the like button because that
[3300.96] NJ: does wonders for us to help the the channel bro we've got 33 likes please uh keep the
[3306.48] Greg: likes coming in i disliked oh we're at 99 one more should we do a menace giveaway if you get 100
[3315.52] NJ: what are you gonna give a like that's up to you yeah well there you go menace giveaway is one
[3322.08] NJ: one evening one night with tony i tell you what i bet i bet people would appreciate those
[3327.92] AndyRC: those uh leds if they still have bloody bright oh yes yes well look what we do we do it we're
[3333.68] Greg: doing numbskull let's do one of our led kits and we're probably chucking a t-shirt or something
[3339.76] AndyRC: like that how's that it's 99 come on guys i thought it just went over oh no oh there you go
[3349.68] Greg: hundred one there you go i'll let you guys do the giveaway
[3356.16] AndyRC: we've got to pick out andy andy sort out how we do this now
[3363.04] SPEAKER_04: pick someone from the chat randomly have we gone out mine still says 97
[3369.76] Frank: now we're going to come up against the the issue of concurrent counting on youtube there's the
[3376.24] Frank: tom scott has done an interesting video on how this all works um so everyone's computer is now
[3381.12] Frank: following a different server and each server has its own latest update mine says 97 until
[3386.72] SPEAKER_04: mine says 100 this ain't getting lit and you ain't getting shit no it went it went to one oh one
[3393.6] SPEAKER_04: that's why they wanted it yeah i can't see i've got one oh three hundred and three
[3402.88] SPEAKER_04: this is so dangerous
[3406.72] SPEAKER_04: looking at me like what the hell are you doing you idiot it's actually quite warm as well
[3412.96] SPEAKER_04: he put ice on the ass the hat although it's pound shot even more can i just say it this
[3419.36] AndyRC: we've never ever had this many lives everyone watching like that there are channels with
[3426.64] AndyRC: 30 000 subscribers plus that i've not seen go over 35 u.s so that is just amazing guys thanks
[3435.12] AndyRC: so much yeah thank you very much for tuning in the first report in the chat was scott watson
[3444.16] Frank: so if scott watson wants to send us a message with his details then we'll pass him on to mena
[3453.44] NJ: there we go scott watson thank you very much scott watson well done yeah you've won yourself
[3458.88] Greg: some uh what was it again greg we're gonna do a num scull one of our um drone led kits
[3465.36] Greg: and a t-shirt so we need to know your size as well yeah it's probably best to know as well
[3471.36] AndyRC: because obviously if you uh you know get the the num skull you know if you don't have a 2.4
[3479.12] Greg: set up then you know maybe you want want the leds or i don't know i'll tell you what if they don't
[3485.04] Greg: want 2.4 we'd do a pico so that's 5.8 there you go they've got an option 2.4 5.8 that is super
[3494.64] AndyRC: so what was the rule what was the rules then andy to win to win stuff i just went back through
[3500.56] Frank: the chat and saw the first person who reported that we went over 100 and was like that that'll
[3505.68] AndyRC: be a that'll be a good thing hold on frank hold on all right so no no the next one is 200
[3516.24] SPEAKER_04: i've got nothing else to set fire to apart from my hat
[3520.32] AndyRC: i'd be fine with that turn i'm sure i'm sure it would go up like a light if you got it for
[3527.2] AndyRC: the pound store probably better than fireworks probably running out i'm gonna have to go and buy

[3614.4] Frank: so this is going to be the 27th where we're all coming to my spot before my spot disappears so
[3621.92] SPEAKER_04: we need to work out the logistics of that yes that could be a live stream then
