[210.66] AndyRC: up uh to see fly with kosie um and you yeah you were both there we our intention was to fly the
[222.26] AndyRC: the cooling towers uh and meet you guys there and uh i believe there was a technical issue
[229.78] AndyRC: and uh we ended up somewhere else for a little bit a certain owner a certain farm we were shotgun
[237.62] AndyRC: i'm being i'm being i'm being very careful with my words but uh yes uh but we ended up as aquariums
[245.46] AndyRC: instead didn't we and yeah it was pretty cool flying i i put a vid on my channel on that and
[250.74] AndyRC: uh then then we went to the towers afterwards and uh yeah it's quite daunting flying there
[258.5] AndyRC: uh but i'm really close to those towers actually i'm like um actually if i if i fly my uh
[267.06] AndyRC: mavic up to the legal height of what is it 400 feet i could actually see the cooling towers
[274.34] James: with the mavic i promise jealous that place is so epic there's you could fly for weeks and still
[282.9] James: find something new each time you went there it was just so awesome yeah we've got uh we've got
[287.38] AndyRC: a local group going now actually here and we're good but we want to we want to go back in the
[292.74] AndyRC: summer really because yeah yeah it's it's too cold to be traipsing across uh and to you know
[301.3] AndyRC: non-existent fields with uh you know even though there's an open gate and everything
[308.1] James: it would look epic in the snow if you could get some snow shots of that place we are just incredible
[315.7] Shane: even though we um or you guys couldn't get in on a day we managed to fly the evening before
[321.38] Shane: um on really something and we managed to get it a golden hour which was just epic
[326.26] James: bliss yeah i love that place i could go back there a million times never get bored
[330.74] AndyRC: yeah we flew at golden hour the only problem that i found is i was using a ccd camera and at golden
[337.86] AndyRC: hour the the angle on the the towers was like you just went from dark to to bright so quickly that
[347.62] AndyRC: when you dive down it all you saw was just darkness for a little bit and i found that quite
[353.78] AndyRC: quite daunting and like i i was getting vertigo looking up because like you know i'm i'm not great
[359.54] AndyRC: with heights anyways but actually after a couple of uh flies around it you get used to it it stops
[366.1] AndyRC: becoming like the the scale of it disappears when you start flying for some reason i don't know if
[373.3] James: you guys guys found that those towers become small when you're looking at them you're just
[378.98] James: like you're like this little dot but uh when you're flying with them it's only a couple of seconds
[383.54] James: from the ground to popping out the top so this seems to come small yeah yeah i think they're
[389.14] AndyRC: 300 feet in total i think which is crazy and i think yeah you managed to get through the little
[396.66] AndyRC: door didn't you i saw on your video right yeah i was so gutted about that because i wanted to i
[402.9] Tony: wanted to do that but uh we were we were all too scared of losing and smacking well i had a fail
[408.9] Curry: safe there on didn't i so was was it the fear of crashing or actually just having a cord hanging
[413.62] AndyRC: off that little door for me for me it was the fear of uh a 25 year old tower crashing down on me
[425.38] AndyRC: like a little tiny brick gets this lodge yeah you've been listening to too much drone hysteria
[430.18] AndyRC: drones can knock down towers now no no no they did they did a uh tv series called drones in
[439.94] AndyRC: forbidden zones and it wasn't what you think it was taken it was gatwick no no it looks real
[448.26] AndyRC: it was take it was taking drones uh into places where you shouldn't go and it explained that like
[455.62] AndyRC: all underneath is basically like a swamp and they could collapse at any minute and so uh yeah after
[463.78] AndyRC: watching that was like hmm perhaps perhaps we shouldn't go back to that it doesn't sound sound
[469.54] AndyRC: safe but uh yeah no it was it was a load of fun though i i'd still go back it's all worth it for

[522.74] Shane: it's a cliff that overhangs so we'll go and find this cliff um and there was he said oh yeah there's
[529.14] Shane: there's a path here we're climbing with this fence and there's a path or bit of muddy path
[532.9] Shane: and every path he took came to an end yeah and the next bit we're climbing over trees that are
[538.82] Shane: falling down we're climbing up walls that have never been touched for for gone how many years
[544.18] Shane: and then two and a half miles later i swear it's just around the corner the next corner

[605.3] AndyRC: where you see like these graveyards of um of like planes and stuff uh i found one one of them
[613.62] AndyRC: like well it wasn't me that found it it was a couple of my friends um and uh we we went there
[621.22] AndyRC: that that was epic that was they got all sorts of uh you know military stuff there it was crazy
[628.18] AndyRC: yeah that was fun lots of gaps did you power loop any tanks uh it well there'll be a video

[694.42] AndyRC: friend pete flew through a helicopter that he actually he actually liked the the back end of
[702.58] AndyRC: a helicopter had the had a gap and a gap through the other side and he he flew through it so i need

[799.54] Shane: tend to hunt out things that people don't normally stock so all the rarity stuff
[804.18] Shane: is what we aim for um we try to get stuff in the uk that you that nobody else seems to stock
[810.58] Shane: um and yes i mean the the three the three other guys and ladies that are with me and we put
[816.58] Shane: uh drone is life racing team together um we're hoping that you see most of us this year at
[822.5] Shane: qualifying events for nash news we host events in plimoth and surrounding areas because we're trying
[828.34] Shane: to get something in this area there is there tends to be nothing around from sort of x to down into
[834.1] Shane: Cornwall so we're trying to do that um we are going to host the first multi-gp um in the southwest
[842.74] Shane: this year so um yeah we're a bit of everything we like to try and mix it up a bit yeah sounds good
[851.94] Shane: and not a lot of people actually know who we are shockingly enough um but we do we like to say we
[858.66] Shane: do brands uh we sell brands that other people don't and we've got exclusive rights to them
[863.94] Shane: so you've got thunder power uh batteries that we do we've got all the galley stuff we've got

[1024.1] Frank: that happened there uh unfortunately hidden valley got shouted at by the council because the council
[1031.54] Frank: of being shouted at by local wildlife people who were being shouted at by dog walker so it's no
[1038.02] Frank: more one person more one person ruined it it was yep the farmer's really really you know not happy
[1046.5] Frank: about it because now they've got all loads of issues with people letting their dogs off the
[1050.9] Frank: leads all scaring the sheep we've got vandalism on all the uh barn buildings and all of that kind
[1056.26] Frank: of thing more acid parties again yeah all this kind of stuff that was kept away when we kept
[1063.46] Frank: going down there every weekend uh when it was nice you know um that's that's all back and but
[1069.46] Frank: yeah you can't really do anything because the fine permission say we'll take your house if
[1074.02] Jack: you don't go away so oh that's a shame they can't do it anymore but even even his vehicle got stolen
[1081.22] Jack: and then was involved with a hit and run it's not not fun unfortunately so people are resorting to
[1089.46] AndyRC: flying next to gut wick instead right yeah great great move that's what happens when your
[1096.1] Tony: forest is shut down places where you can fly people go and do stupid things
[1101.54] Tony: or they don't because there's no drones no because we didn't see one yeah it's those cranes

[1111.14] AndyRC: uh shall we talk about the Heathrow thing i was just gonna say yeah so um there was
[1120.1] Frank: the news this week that uh the as a guy has been prosecuted and fined for flying uh a tundra so
[1129.38] Frank: it's like a like a little cesna with massive tires on um radio controlled traditional radio
[1136.42] Frank: controlled kind of plane um and he was flying out in a little park next to he throw on christmas eve
[1145.3] Frank: uh police obviously this was days after the gavik incident so everyone was going nuts police were
[1151.14] Frank: out there traced it that you know watched it where it went found the guy he's he's been uh
[1157.54] Frank: charged and prosecuted and fined something like two thousand pounds plus a couple hundred pounds
[1162.34] Frank: for court fees and all this kind of thing uh newspapers were reporting he was a member of a
[1167.86] Frank: local club speaking to members of the local club he wasn't uh oh really that's about right because
[1175.46] AndyRC: like i i mean again it's all rumors i heard like oh is it like a bmfa member or something
[1181.3] Frank: that's not the case we don't know if he was bmfa but speaking to the club that he's been reported
[1186.98] Frank: in the newspapers as being a member of he was never been a member of that club so i think
[1192.18] Curry: the confusion there was there there is a club that operates very close but with permission but
[1197.7] Frank: he wasn't part of that and he wasn't flying there and that even their site is outside of the one
[1203.7] Frank: kilometer that um is currently in place so you know there's all sorts of reasons why it would
[1210.34] Frank: be fine to fly there did they call it a drone because carrying bags are another interesting
[1216.58] Frank: thing up until this this court uh so this was in uxbridge magistrates court um up until this was
[1224.26] Frank: reported in the papers i hadn't heard anything about heathrow on christmas eve um so i can't
[1232.34] Frank: find any trace of it being reported so this seems to be you know effectively you know an unmanned
[1239.46] Frank: aircraft incident that was completely unreported which is interesting but on that
[1245.62] Frank: i don't have any physical pictures of it though do they no but they they you know that's because
[1251.54] AndyRC: it's not exciting to look at yeah they had they had they had a video at night that obviously
[1256.9] AndyRC: was a helicopter now there oh this is we all thinking of the other heathrow incident that
[1262.42] Frank: was reported that was there was more than one i can't keep up so the one that someone's been
[1269.22] Frank: prosecuted for um was on christmas eve so days after gatwick um which up until now hasn't been
[1277.14] Frank: reported on the one everyone knows about whether well you know we don't know uh any more details
[1283.3] Frank: about since then was only a couple of weeks ago um so jack can you read that thing out again please
[1291.3] Jack: um i don't i can't i drop my phone it means getting it means what thing according to
[1299.78] Curry: the government consultation response they have defined a drone as any small unmanned aircraft
[1307.46] Curry: which means traditional line of sight planes which means quads whether fpv or not helicopters
[1313.54] Curry: basically they say unless it's a balloon or a kite if it's under control it's a drone yeah
[1321.22] Jack: those weird people that control line that stand in circle and spin around till they get dizzy
[1326.34] AndyRC: interestingly they're included jack don't say weird that's that's the where the hobby started
[1333.22] Tony: it is weird though they normally have got sandals on what's up
[1341.22] Frank: but they are also included um but uh we will have hopefully some more interesting news on
[1348.34] Frank: these sort of sign of things next week after uh at least one of our correspondents has gone on

[1457.22] Kelsey: yeah i used to fly beta flight but um how did you find that transition uh jabs on next week is one of
[1464.9] Kelsey: us um i don't know i find race flights smoother than beta flight but the the thing is is like i
[1474.9] Kelsey: can fly with race flight on my freestyle but i could never tune it for my race ones so my race
[1480.02] Tony: drones are still on um beta flight a lot of people say that yeah my freestyle is kissing my races
[1489.62] AndyRC: but i think that's why they changed the name to is flight one now isn't it rather than race flight
[1495.7] James: perhaps yeah i thought that was two different forks there was there's race one and then there
[1501.54] Shane: is flight one or whatever no you speak on race it is now flight one it used to be um was it race
[1508.26] Shane: whatever it was but it is never one it's all flight one now ah right um because i think i
[1513.7] Shane: think at one point they um the skits so fc they it was even branded as a lumineer board um quite a
[1520.58] Shane: while back but now it's and now it's been swapped over as a flight one branded board so um you
[1526.82] AndyRC: mentioned earlier about uh i i think you sort of joke and we said no one knows about us but so
[1533.7] AndyRC: so it is is the idea to to go to these events and is it just uk events as well i mean there are a
[1542.18] AndyRC: lot of events obviously that go on internationally are you planning on going there and is that how
[1549.46] AndyRC: you plan to sort of build the brand or get known in the uk um if i'm honest we we supply an awful
[1558.5] Shane: lot to europe um we probably send probably 60% of our stock into europe how about dare i say
[1567.7] Shane: how that's going to be effective in prexit kitchen man we're simply into brexit
[1575.94] Shane: i mean i have thought about going into europe we're racing competitions and stuff but um for this
[1581.38] Shane: year um we're definitely looking just at the uk ones at the moment so we can get out there
[1586.98] Shane: um my my biggest concentration at the moment is running the mo the multi-gp um down in the
[1592.66] Shane: southwest which you guys must come down and have a stab at is there anyone else doing uh multi-gp
[1598.74] Frank: events in the in the uk at the moment there are a couple of small clubs suffer isn't it no yeah
[1603.94] Shane: suffer yeah there are a couple of small clubs around that i've started doing it um but we in
[1611.14] Shane: our true style we're kind of aiming big straight away um and the only way to obviously attract
[1618.58] Shane: attention is to have bigger prizes um at the end because if you do it as a fun fly you generally
[1624.26] Shane: tend people just don't tend to sort of turn up it's a long way to go down to southwest so it's
[1630.66] Shane: trouble wouldn't it he's even further difficult than to james's yeah good weather though
[1642.1] Shane: but um yeah it should be good i mean we need to do it um we don't generally tend to fly a lot
[1648.82] Shane: together well i say that me tovian and james fly an awful lot together but we don't see kelsey an
[1654.98] Shane: awful lot because she's so far north yeah a bit far away north like awesome north is she further
[1662.26] Jack: north than andy yeah yeah i can't really understand it's like a noise when she talks

[1674.42] Shane: oh dear i mean we we um we all went to i-series in birmingham this um end of last year um because
[1688.18] Shane: james was in it so we went up to give him a bit of support and they were doing a live broadcast as
[1693.3] Shane: well um and when we put on the chat who we were they they were like drone is who i literally found
[1703.62] Jack: you right via searching myself um i was searching for thunder power right and i was like
[1723.7] Jack: and i was searching for thunder power thunder power don't list you as a retailer right so for
[1729.54] Jack: a laugh i emailed them like where can i get thunder power from and they didn't even recommend
[1734.9] Jack: you guys really yeah for real shot kid like you you just don't what what uh also it's crazy because
[1745.46] James: it's losing them sales by not knowing who yeah yeah did you know thunder power in the eu or did
[1752.18] Jack: you uh in the states i think the states guys yeah is there an eu brand because like they do
[1762.42] Jack: like the heli heli nation guys and stuff like that but yeah like and i was quite surprised
[1767.7] Jack: because you do sell um impulse spare parts yeah we do but the german sell them cheaper so i find it
[1777.22] Jack: hilarious that you send to europe and then we buy stuff from from there it's mad um i mean we'll
[1786.1] Shane: we'll import stuff from obviously australia because that's where input in folks are yeah um good old
[1791.46] Shane: well um and yeah the the amount that gets shipped out to europe is is unbelievable um i don't i don't
[1802.98] Shane: necessarily think it's frames in hoe i think it's generally just the spare parts
[1807.7] AndyRC: yeah i think i i bought an uh i think i think it was an alien arm after you got guys i bought a
[1814.58] AndyRC: couple uh a few a few weeks ago yeah it was very handy because otherwise you know it's yeah we
[1820.82] Shane: we definitely sell more spare parts for aliens than we do actually the actual frames themselves
[1825.62] Shane: yeah that was very handy um it's i don't i don't know it's weird because
[1833.62] Shane: the import tax and the freight costs from from foreign countries now is getting horrendous um
[1840.98] Shane: and obviously it reflects on your price yeah um i can put i mean in thunder power are probably

[2500.02] Toby: then that really captured like every interest that i had maintaining the engine and all that
[2506.58] Toby: that was another interest that i had i like working on vengeance cars and all that kind of stuff um
[2512.66] AndyRC: and then you were did you go far back as using mechanical gyros in no no i always ran electronic
[2520.58] Toby: ones um yeah they were pretty mad yeah obviously i had like a fly barred helicopter to start with

[3348.5] James: and uh yeah it's just been addicted ever since started with close proximity and then 2014 the

[3366.74] James: even more ultimate this is amazing and uh yeah it's just been addicted ever since and
[3371.38] James: i still get even more addictive each time i go out and fly you know it's like those little
[3374.82] James: rushes of adrenaline and stuff and that can be got from racing freestyle just pottering around
