[346.67] AndyRC: so um real steady I mean I made a video about it but they offer two products one is for adobe after
[353.95] AndyRC: effect one is for gopro and it's uh basically a uh well after effects as a plugin and the gopro
[365.47] AndyRC: version is a standalone version and you have to be very specific which the website doesn't tell you
[373.39] AndyRC: initially um so you have to be in four by three mode in a certain format uh and that that that's
[382.59] AndyRC: so that it can crop and do all of the clever stabilization stuff that it does and I thought
[390.75] AndyRC: yeah but that's a good thing and I can see um you know why why people would use it and I'd want to
[399.07] AndyRC: check it out and then uh so being stupid I admit it I just pressed the buy it now button because
[407.39] AndyRC: I thought this is like a revolutionary thing but it turns out that um you know there are lots of
[414.51] AndyRC: hidden things uh that people who may have received it for free I'm not I'm not saying that they
[421.07] AndyRC: they'd receive it for free but you know people who receive fair what you did have to go on
[426.99] Curry: because if you if you were consuming you might have been played by these people that were putting
[430.83] Curry: out like this is amazing look at my footage look how smooth it is and just say oh that that looks
[434.99] Curry: like something I want I'll buy it and yeah I was watching I was watching video I was watching
[440.35] AndyRC: videos of these uh so so people are making these really uh terrible flying quadcopters
[448.67] AndyRC: like they're about they're about three a three inch they fly awful they've got dots on them
[455.47] AndyRC: but they carry uh like a gopro so uh you can't do acro with them but what you can do is get
[462.91] AndyRC: into really tight spaces and people have started uh doing adverts with them you know whether it I
[471.79] AndyRC: think um nurk made a video about uh what what he did uh regarding like an arcade uh place and uh
[484.11] AndyRC: you know there are there are lots of videos out there look at what I can do with real steady but
[489.63] AndyRC: a lot of those videos don't mention the fact that you even if you if you subscribe to adobe
[495.79] AndyRC: after effects then you need to roll back to 2015 and have two versions installed and like I've
[505.23] AndyRC: just got this very you know I'm very skeptical that um you know a lot of people will be buying
[514.35] AndyRC: that software but then downloading like some some kind of illegal version of after effects from
[522.67] AndyRC: nine not nine years ago that's wrong from five four five years ago and to me that is
[530.75] AndyRC: that that's where I'm I'm a bit I'm like this is sketchy yeah they've covered themselves saying
[537.55] AndyRC: if you subscribe to the adobe creative cloud yeah you can jump through a few hoops
[543.87] AndyRC: and go and install an older version and have two versions running but for me I want the
[550.59] AndyRC: latest version and some people picked up on the fact that oh it's it's almost like it only works
[557.63] AndyRC: with the hacked versions that are illegal yet you have to buy the plug-in and all of this and then
[566.43] AndyRC: the no refund policy because we offer a trial version and then the fact that if you buy the
[573.47] AndyRC: professional version it crashes all of the time and then there's all these hidden things about oh
[579.63] AndyRC: yeah it only really works with the hero six um you know again it's all prepped research I should
[587.79] AndyRC: have done what I what I did with my video is I sort of took one for the team and and uh you know
[595.39] AndyRC: I knew that it was going to be a video that was going to divide people but if if it if it just
[601.55] AndyRC: helps a few people uh to to not waste their money and just you know to I mean I mean flight controllers
[610.83] AndyRC: are just so smooth these days anyways it's it's almost not needed um you know and then and then
[618.91] AndyRC: I actually Josh made a video as well um sort of against it um and kind of agreeing with what I
[626.59] AndyRC: said he said that if you get a hero seven with hypersmooth it basically does the same thing but
[632.43] AndyRC: it doesn't take an hour to render uh three minutes of footage I think that's probably the best thing
[638.43] Tony: to do is just buy the seven isn't it yeah I've stuck it on the x-class on my last x-class footage
[645.07] Tony: and you can see my the arms of the x-class moving and the hypersmooth just smoothed everything out
[651.87] Tony: not that it was crappy anyway I mean I'm quite proud of how I fly I think I fly pretty smooth

[671.31] AndyRC: mind having two versions hey maybe even they have a hacked torrent version whatever you

[710.51] Curry: that it doesn't work on the latest version of adobe um after effects by blaming
[717.39] Curry: not fixing a bug yeah really because there's lots of other plugins on the latest version

[1293.7] AndyRC: flight controllers is that the same company as in brain 3d that does the gopro now no it's
[1300.9] Tyler: it's like super super misunderstood and mixed up with brain 3d but they're totally different
[1308.34] Tyler: and they just do electronics um mostly just flight controllers and pdb
[1315.38] Curry: are they the ones where you can overlay your flight sticks as part of like the
[1319.3] Tyler: OSD as opposed to like backboxing they've got a graphical OSD which is one of the only i think
[1327.62] Tyler: there might be another one now but one of the very few that can have actual graphical images
[1333.3] Tyler: in your OSD and you can actually design your own logo and like put it on the OSD and everything
[1338.98] Tyler: and that's like a secret thing that the guy martin has implemented and he basically flashes

[1354.1] AndyRC: of that now on beta flight 4 it seems from what i've just seen from beta flight 4 you can have your
[1360.98] AndyRC: you can have your stick controls and beta flight 4 and you can i think you've always been able to

[2665.78] Curry: stupid looking name anyway yeah so what we get there was you get a proper fpv camera and a proper
[2671.22] Curry: 4k camera in a not too big a package so you don't have to have the crappiness of flying through your
[2677.54] Curry: hd camera i think that's written it down tasia that might be the right route now rather than
[2685.46] Tony: doing it through so you get lag and all that not it's not just that i think it's the noise
[2690.18] AndyRC: being able to see enough was the problem for me the noise as well but it's created so if they can
[2695.86] AndyRC: bypass that if they're basically taking a retell camera and then a 4k recorder and uh putting them
[2703.78] AndyRC: on the same thing my only issue is that i think mounting and also camera angle could be a problem
[2709.7] AndyRC: because it's quite long although i've seen diatone i've already stuck it on one of their three inch
[2715.3] AndyRC: models so we'll have to see that's looking exciting the only thing is is is is there is 4k
[2723.46] AndyRC: needed do we need 4k you know i my personal opinion is they should have cracked so they
[2729.94] AndyRC: should have cracked 1080 60 first and i don't think they they quite have uh i think they're
[2735.54] AndyRC: very close but i don't think i don't think they're up to um the the g word standard uh which is what
[2743.22] Tony: i think they should be aiming for well let's see how they go i mean it's uh looking like a good
[2750.66] Curry: good thing so it's just a perception isn't it you can't bring out a brand new thing and say
[2758.1] Curry: this is 1080p because other people say well ours is 4k and some people will be like oh well that

[2771.46] AndyRC: to check that out but from all of the information i've been given is wait for the b2 the story in
[2779.14] Tony: the chat says it says it has 1080 120 frames and mr fruity cake says i brought kadex and they've
[2786.02] AndyRC: all died well i've got i've got a load of kadex and i've no problems but you had a problem corry
[2793.22] AndyRC: kitten and also and mj tech had the the the yellow screen that never goes away i've seen an awful lot
[2801.7] Curry: if you look at the kadex's facebook group the uh the yellow screen of death seems to be quite
[2807.54] Curry: a common problem and i saw i saw a post from kadex about how they were sorting this out but
[2813.06] Curry: it seems like if you're in the u.s you get really good support from kadex because there's like a
[2817.14] Curry: u.s guy for it but if you're over here in the uk then you have to deal with china in which you
[2822.74] Curry: don't get so much decent feedback but yeah i had a um a turtles v2 that died my one that works the
[2829.46] Curry: button doesn't work on it so i had to go into the osd and and set like auto record on it but
[2835.06] Curry: two of them are still going strong and the the normal eos cameras they work they're sort of
[2841.54] Curry: unbreakable it seems but they're not particularly great but they're okay i think with kadex i think
[2846.82] AndyRC: with kadex though they've had to build themselves up so they they started off as the underdog uh
[2855.22] AndyRC: like undercutting uh the likes of run cam and fox here uh on price and there were um you know
[2868.82] AndyRC: you get dust on the sensor quite a lot but as i think they've sold more and more i think
[2874.98] AndyRC: that's allowed them just like any other company to progress and now i mean the new emacs buzz comes
[2882.42] AndyRC: with the kadex camera most of the cine whoops cop and cine copters come with a kadex turtle
[2889.38] AndyRC: i think uh you know that they've they've just done basically what all the other companies have
[2895.38] AndyRC: done it has started low and uh risen up the ranks and this new rital camera uh that they've brought
[2903.54] AndyRC: out it it's on par with you know the the foul cores and all all the other stuff out there so

[3104.82] AndyRC: because the the the rapid fire it like smushes the the two signals together to get a better signal
[3113.14] AndyRC: rather than switching between the two so it um like that kind of upset me a bit because i like
[3119.3] AndyRC: the idea of a patch beam for long range and then uh an omni for close up kind of stuff i've been
[3128.02] Curry: running mine with um the the pico and um whatever the pagoda one's called on pico pico you mean the
[3139.3] Curry: the patch uh oh right yeah yeah so the pico patch and one of the the the taller um pagodas
[3150.34] Curry: yes i should be changing over to use like the bandicoot but i can't be bothered because it's
[3154.42] Curry: like it's in the box and it it all works fine that you can change the rapid the rapid fire mode
[3159.94] Curry: is the one that tries to smush it together but you can change that into a mode called legacy
[3163.86] Curry: where it acts as a normal diversity receiver if you want to okay but to be honest i haven't i
[3170.42] Curry: haven't ever had an issue in like a range thing for video i've had an issue with certain cameras
[3179.46] Curry: like i was using a calyx um eos2 in pal on a woof and that was given some really weird results
[3189.06] Curry: and the little camera which was in the tyro 79 was causing some screen tearing uh aside from that
[3196.9] Curry: everything's been pretty solid but yeah i no no problem flying any sort of distance really no
[3202.58] Curry: matter what you shove at it if you want to there's there's an option to turn the osd on so you can
[3207.7] Curry: see like an rssi scale on each antenna and that'll give you a good idea of how strong the signal
[3213.22] Curry: is from each but i just turn all that off and i just run it and it just seems to work cool i know
[3218.26] AndyRC: i need to uh yeah i need to check that out well i'm also gonna have to go because nj has finished
