[274.94] Frank: So in basically telling MPs what's going on with drones,

[280.94] Frank: So there was Andy Sage from NACTS.
[283.82] Frank: There was a guy called Kevin, who's a special constable up in Lincolnshire.
[290.7] Frank: And there was a guy from I couldn't quite work out because sometimes some of the
[297.1] Frank: references said Belper and other ones said R-pass.
[300.3] Frank: So I'm guessing they connected somehow.
[302.94] Frank: And then Andy Sage came out with this lovely remark.

[312.3] Jack: In defense, apparently, it's slightly out of context.
[319.42] Jack: But I started watching the video and did you get to the bit where he was saying, yes,
[325.5] Jack: drones, like any disaster, they're like bees to honey or something like that.

[333.18] Jack: And the drones swarm to the disaster area and stop necessary aid happening.
[339.74] Jack: And then the police constable said, yeah, we had we had one of our drones.
[345.58] Jack: And the other drone was environmental health.
[351.18] Frank: And they had to stop the Chinook flying over because of manned aircraft taking photographs,

[357.5] Frank: Yeah, it was all very interesting.
[359.42] Frank: So that's the sort of level of drama that we have to deal with nowadays.

[459.98] Lee: One of the things that Wayne and I were talking about is we were looking back.
[464.54] Lee: So rather than talk about all the stuff that's going on now,
[466.86] Lee: we were talking about what the hobby was like four years ago.
[469.82] Lee: And I've actually got a list of all the videos that I did back from 2014 and 2015.
[476.46] Lee: And it's a bit scary how much has changed in the last four years while Let's Drone Out's been on.
[483.34] Lee: Because four years ago, I was just starting to do the Nazi 32 series.
[488.14] Lee: I mean, you remember that, Jack, because we talked about that.

[492.78] Lee: So many people watch that series and then blame me for getting in trouble with other halves.

[518.7] Lee: So rather than have to remember 27 things that you have to do in beta flight so it doesn't kill you.

[548.06] Curry: I went back and I looked at some of my videos for when Let's Drone Out would have been starting.
[553.02] Curry: And I'm still I was just starting to fly mini.
[556.46] Curry: I hit the R250 and I've still got it in its configuration with this massive PZ0420 and
[562.54] Curry: its Genfan 5030s and it's just huge and a bunch of wiring.
[567.74] Curry: But I was interested to see when I was flying, it was like the old Mobius was there instead of
[574.38] Curry: a GoPro and there was no OSD.
[576.7] Curry: And I was like, how on earth do I know how much battery I've got left?
[579.26] Curry: Of course, you used to use your battery to time run your radio for the battery,
[583.82] Curry: but I'm still going out and we were we were sort of having fun with mates and still flying around.
[588.7] Curry: But it felt a little bit freer.
[591.02] Curry: I noticed we were putting a lot of videos together where we were just out and flying
[595.26] Curry: and we sort of find a spot and we'd go out together and do some stuff.
[598.78] Curry: And there wasn't that there certainly wasn't the big, oh, you're flying a drone.

[603.5] Curry: You've got a plane and this just do hickey here that flies.

[607.66] AndyRC: Yeah, you also didn't care if you're flying was a bit rubbish

[1269.26] Lee: And I think it's actually a really good question.
[1271.26] Lee: I'm spending quite a bit of time at the moment helping multi-rotor pilots get into fixed wing.
[1276.78] Lee: And it's a slightly different mindset.
[1278.86] Lee: Because in a multi-rotor, if you're going to hit something, you blip the throttle and
[1282.22] Lee: you rise into the air and you kind of go over whatever you're just about to smash into.
[1286.62] Lee: If it's a fixed wing by blipping the throttle, you just hit it harder.
[1290.62] Lee: But the durable trainer fixed wing, I don't know what you guys think, but for me,
[1295.66] Lee: I still go for the Bixler.
[1297.34] Lee: I think it's a really solid, cheap and cheerful model.
[1300.06] Lee: And also the AXN that I reviewed a couple of weeks ago that's been re-released by Hobbyking.
