So these guys are the guys who donate [9.84] Jack: for the editing and they really do make a huge difference to keep the show alive. [17.12] Jack: We've been sponsored by Art Faulkner, Ferdy Evers, Mikey Dread and Under Fluke. [23.2] Jack: These guys are absolute legends. Thank you so much and see you next show. [30.72] Curry: Can I have a disclaimer please? [62.85] Curry: Yes, any views expressed by any of the guests on the show, otherwise known as any of the hosts, [67.73] Curry: are personal and may not reflect the views of the host or any participant or anybody. That is it. [76.85] Curry: Especially because he's getting out of his mind at the moment. [80.77] Jack: It may or may not be legal. [85.89] Jack: Jack, what are you doing? [88.37] Jack: Having a good time. [89.89] Tony: Is that your birthday present then? So you bought yourself something to get high [93.89] Tony: and said I've spent... [94.93] Jack: I did not pay for this, I just got given it. [98.77] Curry: The first one's for three and then when he's hooked it's like then he has to pay. [103.41] AndyRC: Yeah that's how it works isn't it? [105.81] Curry: It's how they get you. [106.77] Jack: Tonight there's a little birthday surprise happening to Andy R.C and he's got no idea what it is. [114.77] AndyRC: And he's super excited about it. [118.85] AndyRC: Is that not because I hate surprises? You know me. [125.65] AndyRC: Well you can't be turning off at my door unless, no you can't. [129.89] Jack: This is pre-recorded. [131.17] AndyRC: Can you imagine that you pre-med it like you knew me that well, that you knew how to respond [139.33] AndyRC: and how much time to wait to reply. That would... [144.45] Curry: Knowing Jack, as you do, all you need to know is if you say stuff like I really hate, [149.97] Curry: whatever, it will turn up in triplicate. [153.89] AndyRC: Don't you know what I love? [155.73] AndyRC: I love surprises. Please send me as many surprises as possible. [161.09] Curry: Okay you heard him everybody, we'll be publishing his address and phone number later in the chat. [165.65] Jack: Thanks Bo, everyone enjoy. [169.49] SPEAKER_03: I was just saying that Jack does have a green screen so you know he could be anywhere. [178.37] AndyRC: Can you imagine he's in his like, is he at 500 and it's just parked outside [185.49] AndyRC: the house with a green screen behind it. [187.89] AndyRC: Well isn't that a nail? [189.57] AndyRC: I'm gonna check. [194.05] AndyRC: No, there's no one there. [197.89] Curry: This is mainly called the voice factor for Holly on Red Dwarf. [201.65] Curry: I like to think I'm a little bit more animated than that. Not much, but just a little bit. [207.25] Curry: Although I quite like Norman Lovett's delivery of lines I have to say. [210.93] Curry: All right dudes, what's happening? [212.69] Curry: Sort of thing. [213.49] AndyRC: Jack, you aren't sending it like a female to my house. [218.45] AndyRC: You best not be, because that's the kind of thing you would do. [221.65] Curry: Technically not a female if it's tucked. [225.73] AndyRC: Oh for god's sake. [229.09] AndyRC: I'm going to say probably. [231.01] AndyRC: I just want to answer the question. [232.37] Jack: Hello and welcome to a new episode of Let Strode Out, the four-year special. [237.73] Jack: Did I not be enjoyed by Dodie? [247.25] Jack: Curry kitten. [248.93] Curry: Hello, I'm worried about you Jack. [252.13] Jack: Andy, I'll see. [254.37] AndyRC: I'm worried about me, hello. [257.01] AndyRC: Frank. [259.89] Jack: And I'm trying to low fly. [263.01] Jack: Jack. [263.49] Jack: Of course, you got that out. [264.69] Jack: Yep, I need a drink now. [268.13] Jack: It's been four years. [270.13] Jack: Tony was there at the beginning. [272.13] Jack: He's like a tumour. [274.69] Jack: He's grown on me. [285.17] Jack: Curry kitten and Andy, I'll see. [288.13] Jack: We kind of picked up along the way later on. [291.25] Jack: What is it? [291.73] Jack: Second or third year? [294.29] Tony: Yeah. [295.01] AndyRC: I can remember, I can remember NJ saying, have you heard of that guy called Andy RC and Jack saying no. [306.21] AndyRC: And then Jack said, should we get him on the show? [309.65] AndyRC: And someone said probably. [311.73] AndyRC: And then you left and I met you at Weston Park and you hounded me until I came on this show. [323.97] Jack: I have, believe it or not, in memory, I have a bottle of suntan lotion. [331.89] AndyRC: Just to remember you by Andy. [334.93] AndyRC: Is that the very same one that I must spray? [337.81] AndyRC: It looks like it. [339.25] Jack: I'll try not to spit on you when we have sex. [344.29] Jack: And we picked up Andy Andrew slash Frank. [349.89] Jack: I can't talk anymore. [354.05] Jack: I feel funny. [357.33] Jack: Why are you smoking? [360.85] Curry: That's the worry. [363.73] Jack: Andrew slash Frank, did we get you in the first or second year? [367.81] Jack: I think first, really, because the show first year, all I remember is getting snotty emails [376.45] Jack: from you being like, you're doing it worse than I was. [380.77] Curry: It's hard to imagine you and Tony being able to do this by yourselves [384.37] Curry: without some sort of interjection from Frank. [389.81] Tony: We had a mixer. [394.85] Tony: We were, I was coming down to Brighton and we were doing it live from your bedroom [400.29] Tony: around the mixer. [401.81] Tony: Yeah, I'm surprised we've got that to work to be fair. [405.17] SPEAKER_03: I had even worse internet than I have now. [407.97] SPEAKER_03: So I spent the first few months not being on the show and just writing emails all the time [412.13] SPEAKER_03: to invite guests on and stuff like that and just doing the admin. [417.25] Jack: And then he just worked himself on. [420.93] Jack: Everyone was like, he doesn't speak. [422.93] Jack: And that's because he's got bad internet. [425.09] Jack: And now when he does speak to break me, everyone laughs. [431.09] Jack: You should have heard him on the Thursday night show. [433.89] Jack: I think they will want him back because he relentlessly took the piss out of me. [438.85] Jack: So I love you, Frank. [442.13] Jack: And he micro manages the show and my life. [446.77] Jack: So if anything happens to me and it's not Frank, proven by, I don't know, concrete evidence, [453.97] Jack: then Frank will probably solve the mystery of what did happen to me. [457.73] SPEAKER_03: So you're just saying I'm suspect number one. [462.93] Jack: That's all the answer to everything. [468.37] AndyRC: Marsha McFly says it's going to be Jack sister to not put on his door. [473.97] Jack: Oh, man, if I did have a sister, [478.37] Curry: you could just come along as Janet, couldn't he? [483.57] AndyRC: Sometimes he turns up his channel. [487.01] AndyRC: I've seen Janet desperate, desperate times for me. [492.29] Jack: Has anyone got any drone stuff to talk about? [498.69] Jack: Or anything? [499.49] Jack: You're glad to be here for years? [501.65] Jack: Unlucky number four in China. [503.97] Jack: We are. [505.17] Curry: Can we make Andy try and break his NDA by talking about DJI HD stuff? [512.53] Curry: Is he going to talk about it? [516.93] AndyRC: I'm going to be... [521.09] AndyRC: I'm not sure. [521.89] AndyRC: I haven't signed an NDA. [525.49] AndyRC: DJI, in fact, you can go on DJI's website now, and they have got a race drone that has their [535.57] AndyRC: digital FPV system in there, and I'm going to be sent that and reviewing it. [546.13] Curry: Did you fly the 3-inch that you installed it in? [550.45] AndyRC: Wait a second. [552.21] AndyRC: There's somebody here. [557.49] Jack: What are you doing, Jack? [559.89] Jack: You better go get that. [561.25] SPEAKER_03: Oh, my God. [574.13] AndyRC: Oh, it is a nice surprise. [577.65] AndyRC: Very nice surprise. [579.33] AndyRC: Unless I open this box and like... [584.05] Jack: It has got extra sausage, that's all I'll say. [587.57] AndyRC: Oh, man. [588.37] AndyRC: It's huge. [589.97] AndyRC: I thought you'd do with it. [592.05] AndyRC: Extra, extra. [593.09] AndyRC: It is your birthday. [594.85] AndyRC: I should explain what I've got. [596.53] AndyRC: I've got a pizza. [600.85] AndyRC: It says sing. [603.09] AndyRC: Do you know the special instructions it's got written on it? [612.69] Jack: Yeah. [613.73] Jack: Did they sing to you? [615.01] AndyRC: No, no, he didn't. [616.53] AndyRC: He looked at me. [617.97] AndyRC: He almost looked like he was walking away. [621.89] AndyRC: He knocked on the door, and I went downstairs really quick, [625.57] AndyRC: and it was already walking back to his car. [629.49] AndyRC: Then I opened the door. [631.01] AndyRC: It says instructions. [632.93] AndyRC: Sing happy birthday to Andy, RC, please. [638.13] AndyRC: He definitely did not sing. [640.93] AndyRC: Oh, wow. [641.97] AndyRC: I tried. [643.01] AndyRC: What have we got on here? [646.53] AndyRC: How did you know that this... [647.89] AndyRC: Oh, I must have thought. [649.41] Jack: Yeah, because, yeah, I pretended not to know what to order. [656.53] AndyRC: I know how you did this. [658.21] AndyRC: You phoned me up, and you said, what's a good pizza from Domino's? [665.41] AndyRC: And I told you, thinking that you were buying a Domino's yourself. [671.65] AndyRC: That was very clever. [673.57] AndyRC: Look at that. [675.17] Jack: So, yeah, there you go. [676.45] Jack: There's friendship for you. [678.13] Jack: Thank you so much. [679.49] Jack: I need to really knock it out of the park for Andrew Fashfrank's birthday and Tony's. [688.05] AndyRC: I've got drones everywhere. [689.41] AndyRC: I need to make some space so that I can... [691.41] Jack: So, we're going to watch Andy, RC, get the munchies, and... [696.53] Jack: Don't you have to sweat. [697.97] Jack: And also, don't forget, it stops him talking when he's eating. [702.29] Jack: So, hopefully, you guys will get the maximum amount of... [706.21] Tony: So, the voice usually doing this, then? [710.13] AndyRC: Yeah. [710.79] AndyRC: Boom. [712.15] AndyRC: Drone Racer wanted to know... [716.15] AndyRC: He wants to know more information about this DJI... [719.75] AndyRC: I want to know more about the DJI quad Andy is getting. [722.79] AndyRC: Is it just the laser HD frame or something else? [728.63] AndyRC: It's the... [730.79] AndyRC: What are they called? [731.35] AndyRC: TransTech. [732.95] AndyRC: I think it's called the TransTech frame. [735.83] AndyRC: Well, it's a race quad, I believe. [740.31] AndyRC: But I suggested to them that... [747.35] AndyRC: I'm not sure racers will be that interested in it. [749.51] AndyRC: It'd be more for freestyle. [750.95] AndyRC: And I think DJI, they know more about camera drones and actually not that much about the FPV scene. [759.99] AndyRC: So, they're going to learn a lot about that from me, I think. [765.59] AndyRC: I think that's what they're going to get out of. [768.07] AndyRC: I had like an hour's call the other day with them. [772.07] AndyRC: And it was eye-opening to what they sort of didn't kind of understand about. [782.28] AndyRC: I basically said that we're a bunch of cheap asses and no one's going to buy goggles. [788.76] AndyRC: You need to come out with a ground station like the Fat Shark system. [793.64] AndyRC: And then people will buy into it. [798.04] AndyRC: Is this a large jack? [800.76] AndyRC: No, yeah. [802.2] AndyRC: Well, I mean... [804.76] AndyRC: Well, the good thing about these is you can reheat them. [808.84] AndyRC: So, I'll probably get through half of it and then reheat it later. [813.56] Jack: Yeah, you have got... [815.48] Jack: You have got, what do you call it, as well? [820.6] Jack: Cookies. [821.08] Jack: Dessert. [822.04] Jack: Dessert, is that what I was saying? [823.32] AndyRC: Have you seen what it is? [825.0] AndyRC: It's a pizza. [827.64] AndyRC: Chocolate. [828.68] AndyRC: Look at that. [831.4] Gav Ferry: Wow. [833.4] AndyRC: It's a chocolate. [835.32] AndyRC: I mean, that's probably 1,000 calories on its own. [839.4] Curry: Grand Racer 101 said, which I think a lot of people would perhaps share with, [843.96] Curry: that nobody wants to carry around a ground station. [847.08] Curry: We're sort of used to being a bit more low-profile these days. [851.8] Tony: Racers carry around ground stations. [854.52] Tony: Plus, if you're going to do anything epic, [856.6] Tony: bando-related, ground stations are always better than goggles. [859.8] Curry: Ground stations, mound stations, nobody wants that. [862.6] Tony: Yeah. [863.08] Tony: Well, I would always do one... [865.48] Curry: Didn't you suggest you look like a hospital patient, [867.48] Curry: taking around your drip with you on your little tripod? [869.8] Curry: Andy said that normally. [871.0] Curry: Yeah, I think he's right. [874.28] AndyRC: The thing is about the whole ground station thing, [876.92] AndyRC: I don't see any other way around it [879.56] AndyRC: because it's HDMI. [885.24] AndyRC: I liked your idea, Wayne, about having a module that sort of has a HDMI lead. [891.88] Curry: Yeah, I just figured you could still get the power to power it [894.84] Curry: and still have a little lead that just comes around. [898.68] Curry: I tend to think. [900.04] AndyRC: I mean, I don't know. [903.16] AndyRC: From what I've seen and heard... [904.84] AndyRC: The problem is as well, is it's not just the module, it's a multiversity. [911.96] AndyRC: So there are four antennas on this DJI system. [918.12] AndyRC: I think there's going to be at least two on the budget version of the fact shock system [926.04] AndyRC: and then four antennas on the big system. [934.2] AndyRC: Just go to HD0.com because... [936.6] Tony: I've already seen video aerial systems has done an antenna for it already. [943.24] Tony: It's like four into one big patch in the middle. [948.2] Tony: Yeah, I... [952.36] Tony: I'm sure Menace has probably got something in the pipeline as well. [956.76] Tony: No comment. [958.12] Tony: And can we talk about... [965.64] Tony: How many milliwatts in the UK is allowed to have via digital Wi-Fi, 5.8? [976.2] Tony: I read that we can do one watt. [980.2] Curry: Well, the answer is it's... [983.56] Curry: The 25 milliwatts, that's the limitation on analog TV. [988.12] Curry: So as soon as you go to what is effectively a Wi-Fi signal, [992.76] Curry: then there probably is a limit. [994.76] Curry: But odds on half of our routers around the country probably break it [998.84] Curry: because they're boosting all sorts. [1000.6] Curry: But they're also probably C mark. [1003.0] Curry: So they do all this like listen before talk nonsense and stuff like that [1006.76] Curry: to make sure they're not stumping on anybody else. [1009.8] Tony: Apparently you're allowed on 5.8 digital, [1012.92] Tony: you're allowed up to one watt without a license. [1017.24] AndyRC: I can't confirm anything yet, but it's looking good is all I was saying. [1021.0] Tony: Yeah, I agree with what I've looked into. [1027.32] Curry: It does look good fun. [1028.36] Curry: If you see someone flying with a DJI digital system, [1030.76] Curry: just go behind and plug your cord in and watch them like, [1033.8] Curry: oh, it's all paused and drop out of the sky. [1037.56] Curry: That'd be quite good fun as well. [1040.12] AndyRC: Put it this way, I don't think anyone would buy a 25 milliwatt DJI digital system [1047.4] AndyRC: for a 600 quid because you don't have to buy the controller. [1052.92] AndyRC: You just need to buy the camera unit and the goggles, [1055.72] AndyRC: which comes to 600 quid, [1058.52] AndyRC: which is cheaper than buying HDOs, rapid fire, [1064.68] AndyRC: a TBS unify and a camera. [1071.57] AndyRC: You'd think with it being like a new technology, [1074.93] AndyRC: it'd be double the price, [1076.93] AndyRC: but it's cheaper than the highest analog thing. [1080.45] AndyRC: And then people say, oh, well, I've got my on-way commanders [1083.81] AndyRC: and I've got my Ishi and the EV800. [1087.65] AndyRC: So in that end, that's when I told the guy from DJI, [1093.73] AndyRC: I'm sorry to tell you that FPV is our cheapskate buggers. [1101.89] Curry: Of course we are, that's because we keep crashing them [1103.57] Curry: and have to replace it all the time. [1104.93] AndyRC: And what I said, I think it's okay to say this, [1109.41] AndyRC: what I said was, I said, you kind of need to come up with a way [1114.53] AndyRC: to bring the price down because of that like a ground station [1120.61] AndyRC: or maybe even a module, something like that. [1125.41] AndyRC: And yeah, I think like it's, sorry, [1133.09] AndyRC: just choking on a pizza here. [1138.05] AndyRC: It's new territory for them. [1139.65] AndyRC: And what I said to him is I'm so worried [1143.97] AndyRC: because I've said this all along, [1146.77] AndyRC: having owned pretty much every DJI product apart from the Inspire [1152.77] AndyRC: just because it's six grams to get it going, basically. [1158.13] AndyRC: I've said from day one, if anybody's going to crack [1164.53] AndyRC: low latency digital FPV, it's going to be DJI. [1167.81] AndyRC: They've got the resources. [1169.33] AndyRC: They've already been doing, all they've ever done really [1172.13] AndyRC: is digital FPV with Arcusync. [1177.01] AndyRC: It's just that they relied on GPS for the latency. [1180.93] AndyRC: They've been doing the whole reducing the resolution [1185.33] AndyRC: the further away you get for a couple of years. [1192.13] AndyRC: So I said to this guy, I just like, [1195.73] AndyRC: just need to find ways of integrating it into current tech [1201.97] AndyRC: because once people buy a pair of goggles, that's it. [1204.61] AndyRC: It's a pair of goggles for life really, [1206.77] AndyRC: unless there's not really being any huge advances [1209.89] AndyRC: we've had OLED and rapid fire. [1212.77] AndyRC: But really, they're still early 90s technology really, aren't they? [1222.69] Curry: Yeah, essentially, DJI have to think about the market we're going for [1227.97] Curry: already owned a controller or transmitter. [1230.21] Curry: They already own a pair of goggles [1232.29] Curry: and they already have a bunch of cords generally. [1234.85] Curry: So we need to make a way of easily being able to integrate [1238.05] Curry: the camera, the VTX and the receiver unit in what they have already. [1244.77] AndyRC: This is what annoyed me about all of the [1248.69] AndyRC: rushed videos that came out. [1251.33] AndyRC: Everybody had got the controller, the goggles and the camera system, [1255.89] AndyRC: which all comes to a thousand dollars. [1258.93] AndyRC: And you don't need that. [1261.17] AndyRC: You can run crossfire. [1263.41] AndyRC: You need the goggles and you need the camera unit. [1269.57] AndyRC: But just think about this. [1271.33] AndyRC: You buy the goggles once, right? [1273.81] AndyRC: But then the camera units, they're 150 quid. [1278.29] AndyRC: You can have multiple, not just that as well, they're on a little connector. [1285.49] AndyRC: So if you buy, say, 10 connectors, [1290.69] AndyRC: it's so easy to just transfer that air unit to another copter. [1297.01] AndyRC: All you need is the connector and just one of the units. [1300.45] AndyRC: If you want to play around with digital FPV and that's something that no one's thought about. [1308.37] AndyRC: No one's thought about different antennas. [1311.17] AndyRC: Tony talked about it earlier. [1313.09] AndyRC: I can't say much about that either, but it could seriously improve the penetration and range [1321.57] AndyRC: of the system. [1323.81] AndyRC: They're using basically four stubbies, which, as we know, are close range antennas. [1332.85] AndyRC: It's quad diversity. [1336.05] AndyRC: So just imagine what would happen if you put two patches on the bottom ones [1341.97] AndyRC: and then two periscopes on the top ones, what that would do. [1346.85] AndyRC: But this is all stuff that I shouldn't be saying. [1349.49] AndyRC: So I'm going to carry on eating the pizza. [1351.73] SPEAKER_03: Carry on eating the pizza, mate. [1354.05] SPEAKER_03: When did you want a review of the pizza? [1358.82] Tony: Should I say what? [1360.02] Tony: Do it in the NDRC style, so. [1362.18] Tony: You can put it on the bed. [1363.06] Tony: I can put it on the bed, yeah. [1364.58] Jack: Both co-stories like YouTube listeners or people listening back and all you know. [1371.38] Jack: NDRC, go. [1372.9] Jack: Munching. [1374.26] Jack: Can you hear me munching, Tonya? [1376.82] AndyRC: Is it bad? [1377.3] Jack: No, you'd have to listen, but I've only got crappy Apple headphones in. [1383.54] Jack: My Sennheiser over there. [1384.82] Jack: I'd never be able to. [1385.54] Tony: I've got new headphones on. [1388.82] Jack: What? [1391.06] Jack: Not that good. [1394.9] Jack: I thought he was good. [1395.86] Jack: But how's the hearing aid, grandad? [1398.02] Jack: What? [1398.58] Jack: No, I'm only joking. [1401.06] Jack: I thought you'd do it with me. [1402.82] AndyRC: Shall I do a review of the pizza then? [1404.9] Tony: Yes, but in style of your YouTube channel when it opens. [1409.62] Tony: Hello. [1410.02] AndyRC: Three, two, one. [1412.42] AndyRC: Hello and welcome back to my RC channel. [1414.74] AndyRC: I'm NDRC and today I'm going to be reviewing a custom pizza that has been sent by surprise [1422.42] AndyRC: from Jack and it's my favorite pizza company, Domino's. [1427.62] AndyRC: So I'm extremely biased. [1430.66] AndyRC: Yeah, if you click the link in the description, you can get one yourself. [1436.58] Jack: At the end of it, he's going to stay. [1438.98] Jack: The only way this could ever be better is if I put it in the e-max box. [1444.58] Curry: Of course, when the pizza first came, it was completely uneatable before he pit-tuned it [1448.98] Curry: better as the master. [1450.42] AndyRC: Well, what I will say is, you know, it does say sing happy birthday on the front and they [1456.02] AndyRC: didn't do that. [1457.86] AndyRC: Do we all sing it for you now? [1459.86] AndyRC: No, no, I've got to knock it down. [1463.62] Jack: We send in our ambassador, Andrew slash Frank, to sing him happy birthday. [1469.94] AndyRC: So I usually have a medium because I try to keep the weight off. [1475.46] AndyRC: These are the reasons why I got to 14 stone in the first place. [1480.02] AndyRC: More to get old or Tony when you next see him? [1483.38] AndyRC: Now down to 12, but probably be back up to 14 by the weekend. [1488.66] AndyRC: So it's a large stuffed barbecue. [1493.86] AndyRC: Oh, no, it's not. [1494.42] AndyRC: They don't do that anymore, do they? [1495.7] AndyRC: It's a stuffed cheese crust with a barbecue base and then it's just got cheese on it. [1502.9] AndyRC: Tandoori chicken. [1504.1] AndyRC: And is this sausage? [1505.46] AndyRC: Is it, Jack, as well? [1506.66] Jack: Yeah, the joke was extra sausage. [1509.7] AndyRC: Yeah, I was going to say there's a lot of sausage. [1513.38] AndyRC: More some more. [1515.06] AndyRC: That's your favorite thing. [1516.58] AndyRC: That will be the. [1519.7] AndyRC: Put it this way. [1520.5] AndyRC: I consider it. [1521.7] AndyRC: And there's a big massive dip, which I've never had one of these before. [1525.78] AndyRC: I imagine you have to pay quite quite a bit extra for one of them. [1531.19] AndyRC: And then I've never seen this before. [1533.11] AndyRC: This is this is like a chocolate pizza. [1536.47] AndyRC: That looks really strange. [1538.79] AndyRC: Yeah, so I mean, it's a really difficult one to review because, [1543.03] AndyRC: you know, if I was to recommend the pizza, it would be exactly this one [1547.83] AndyRC: because Jack coaxed out of me. [1549.99] AndyRC: So, you know, it'd be like saying if you could buy a quadcopter, [1555.43] AndyRC: what one would it be like? [1556.95] AndyRC: Because I want I want that one. [1558.79] AndyRC: That's basically what he did. [1562.07] Jack: No, the true hero of this is Frank, because at the beginning, [1566.55] Jack: I was like, went down the RC's birthday. [1568.79] Jack: And then he went on his website. [1575.59] Jack: That's the sound of keys, everyone. [1577.35] Jack: And then he was like, he went, yeah, he's got my dental records. [1581.75] Jack: And yeah, I stood 24 for this month. [1584.71] Jack: I'm like, OK, wait, what's his address? [1587.27] Jack: Oh, hang on. [1590.95] Jack: All right. [1591.43] Jack: And then, yeah, you just do you request information. [1595.11] Jack: And I mean, it's all it's all in copy and paste format. [1599.75] Jack: It was unbelievable. [1601.11] AndyRC: Do you know what's made me happy about this, though? [1603.11] AndyRC: Because I was worried that it was going to be something much worse. [1607.67] Jack: And it is. [1608.79] Jack: I asked them on my special kitchen request when I phoned them. [1613.99] Jack: One slice of that pizza has got Bernie sauce on it. [1621.59] Jack: It's pizza roulette, Andy. [1623.83] AndyRC: You've been eating away. [1624.95] AndyRC: I'm I'm fine with hot stuff, man. [1627.99] AndyRC: When we were at many air show, who was it? [1632.15] AndyRC: Was it all that bought that that really hot sauce stuff? [1636.55] AndyRC: That was that was nice. [1637.67] AndyRC: That was I'd be fine with that. [1642.95] AndyRC: What it tells me is that you must really know me [1647.35] AndyRC: because this is the only thing that I wouldn't freak out about turning up at my house. [1653.11] Jack: Yeah, the number one fear is whenever I send post to you for some reason. [1658.15] AndyRC: Because it's got knobs and you draw it all over. [1662.87] Jack: The only way that it could go wrong is if it is damaged in transit. [1666.79] Jack: And have you ever had that where they give you like the post and it's in like a little plastic [1671.83] Jack: bag and it's like, oops, sorry for marks and all that. [1675.43] Jack: And then obviously the inside of the packaging would be visible. [1679.03] AndyRC: To be honest, Jack, I'd rather that than a bunch of knobs written all over it. [1683.19] AndyRC: And things like, you know, to Andy's mum and all this business that he keeps writing on it, [1690.55] AndyRC: which luckily, luckily, they were out when that turned up. [1695.03] AndyRC: So I instantly burnt it. [1701.19] Curry: Jack, what did you fly today? [1702.55] Curry: You said you flew. [1703.51] Curry: Yeah, somebody lost a quad because they don't have a beeper and didn't DVR. [1708.15] Curry: Come on, people. [1708.95] Jack: Hang on. Let me phone Gav. [1712.31] Jack: Phone Gav in Perry. [1715.11] SPEAKER_03: I don't see that. [1715.91] SPEAKER_03: They will contact. [1716.87] Jack: I thought it was Brad as you wanted. [1718.55] Jack: Not Gav. [1719.19] Jack: Well, Gav will do. [1722.23] Jack: But Brad is a just swear nots. [1726.87] Jack: So I flew the Texumero today with INAF manual. [1734.71] Jack: Doesn't like being tuned in the wind. [1738.23] Gav Ferry: Yeah, I do. [1739.35] Jack: Yeah. [1741.03] Jack: So you're live. [1743.19] Jack: You're on Let's Throw Now. [1745.35] Gav Ferry: So do you want to explain what happens with Bradder's quad? [1766.85] Jack: Maybe it was just about 400 meters. [1771.09] Jack: Who knows? [1771.57] Jack: It was about 200 meters. [1772.93] Jack: Yeah, it was very... [1775.65] Gav Ferry: 25 milliwatt. [1776.37] Gav Ferry: Yeah, it was 25 milliwatt and somehow got disorientated in this 200 meters. [1782.45] Gav Ferry: Decided to fly up and down, up and down, up and down, not knowing which way he was going [1789.32] Gav Ferry: until he was on, what was it, 10.8 volts? [1792.6] Jack: Yeah, something like that. [1794.52] Gav Ferry: No DVR. [1806.32] Jack: Oh, that big kid stuff. [1810.24] Jack: What did he do? [1811.04] Gav Ferry: He was one of those looking for it. [1813.84] Gav Ferry: No, he's not allowed on the show. [1816.08] Jack: No, no, ask Bradder's what poles were on the quad. [1821.36] Gav Ferry: How much money do you reckon you lost today? [1837.25] Gav Ferry: Bickering on there. [1849.83] Jack: Did you get any of that guys? [1851.35] Gav Ferry: That was awesome. [1856.26] Gav Ferry: Oh, shut up. [1857.46] Jack: All right. [1857.78] Jack: Goodbye. [1858.34] Gav Ferry: See you later. [1860.66] Jack: Drip motors. [1866.82] Tony: Metal detector then. [1869.22] Jack: Yes, I believe so. [1871.06] Tony: Do you have any idea where it is? [1873.06] Jack: Yeah, I sent a waypoint to Gav and Bradder's because... [1880.58] Tony: MP is in the house saying happy birthday LDO, what's up, MGFPB. [1885.3] Jack: I was like, what the hell, man? [1886.98] Jack: But I put sun cream on and I went outside because I am like the whitest person ever. [1892.82] Jack: And I was just like, what the hell was on my sun cream from putting the phone to my head? [1899.78] Jack: I was like, what the hell? [1903.22] Jack: Yeah, I flew the Texumo in the wind and Bradder's was chasing me about. [1912.18] Jack: But I had done some long range missions and I was trying to do servo adjust and auto tune, [1920.26] Jack: but I wasn't really having much luck with it in high winds. [1924.82] Curry: I tried out the... [1925.78] Curry: I didn't try the auto tune, but I tried auto trim. [1929.06] Curry: That worked quite well. [1930.74] Jack: Yeah, mine would do it in one second, but then I'd be trying to... [1936.98] Jack: I was just buffering about in the wind and so much so that... [1942.5] Jack: Are they called clevices, the little attachments, [1945.46] Jack: the little bolt hole you put through and you tighten it? [1951.22] Jack: They... I think I must have not tightened them enough or it was so windy that it was [1957.14] Jack: slowly moving them back. [1958.5] Jack: And then when I got... [1959.7] Jack: When I landed the next time, me and Gav were looking at it and both my flaps were... [1964.98] Jack: There was absolutely no angle of attack whatsoever. [1970.34] Jack: My flaps do have to be right, Jack. [1972.42] Jack: Yes, they do, do you? [1973.7] Jack: Yes, they do. [1976.34] Curry: Your one was better than mine. [1977.86] Curry: My iNav configuration was so wrong that I was flying in manual fine and I flicked it [1982.82] Curry: into angle and I found out I had it reversed and so it just turned over and started flying [1987.38] Curry: inverted instead, which is not great. [1990.5] Curry: It's quite good as the inversion switch, but less good for like return to home and stuff. [1999.06] Jack: Man, the Texumo, she's a bit weebly wobbly, but I thought it should be heavier and... [2006.98] Tony: They always are, though, aren't they? [2008.82] Tony: Them Texumos do that all the time. [2011.38] Curry: You light, aren't they, though? [2012.98] Curry: If you want to fly in wind, you need something heavy like those... [2017.86] Curry: What were the... the Zephyr... [2020.5] Curry: Not the Zephyr, but whatever. [2021.94] Curry: The number three, where it kind of looked like the... [2026.1] Curry: The sort of Klingon warbird with the forward wings. [2028.26] Curry: What's that one called? [2029.14] Tony: Let's play Dementia. [2031.38] Curry: Yeah, it's gone. [2032.5] Curry: It's all gone. [2034.42] Curry: The Zolt dart. [2036.58] Curry: No, the ones made by... [2040.1] Curry: Oh, for Christ's sake, if I remember the right wing thing. [2042.9] Curry: The right wing track, I think. [2045.06] Curry: Yeah, was it the track? [2046.66] Curry: Something like the track. [2047.46] Curry: The tracks will be better in wind because they're big and heavy. [2049.78] Curry: They were amazing in the wind, but it was so heavy, [2051.94] Curry: but there seemed to be a bit of a bug at a launch, but some... [2055.86] Jack: Tracks of, like, I think they have a massive battery bay. [2059.38] Jack: The whole front of it's battery bay. [2061.3] Curry: Yeah, if you want to do long range, you know, right the way up to 200 meters away, [2065.38] Curry: then that's quite a good bet in the wind. [2068.02] Tony: You could get lost, though, going up and down. [2070.9] Curry: Yeah, that's the problem. [2071.94] Curry: If you get lost, don't just go up and down. [2074.66] Curry: And have your DVR on. [2076.26] Jack: MC Creations has managed to tune in. [2079.22] Jack: Live from Brazil. [2080.42] Jack: And Christie, we read your stuff out on the bonus episode, I think, last time. [2084.66] Jack: Is Lurgie in the chat? [2085.86] SPEAKER_03: Because he was talking about... [2086.74] SPEAKER_03: He's been in the chat. [2088.1] SPEAKER_03: He has been in the chat. [2089.54] SPEAKER_03: He was talking about a wing that he was building that was... [2092.5] SPEAKER_03: Like a flight test mini-arrow, but instead of having just one motor at the back, [2097.14] SPEAKER_03: it's got two motors at the back, so it can do differential thrust for your control. [2101.62] SPEAKER_03: That sounded quite fun. [2104.1] SPEAKER_03: Oh, man. [2104.9] Tony: That is cool. [2105.78] Tony: Oh, man. [2106.58] Tony: Flying one of them. [2108.34] AndyRC: Lurgie has also got an epic spot in the Peak District that I need to chat to about again [2115.78] AndyRC: for Saturday. [2117.78] AndyRC: See how far away it is from where we are, because if you go to Lurgie's channel [2124.82] AndyRC: and look, he's done a massive, long-range flight up this massive cliff. [2131.86] AndyRC: Looks amazing. [2133.14] AndyRC: He's only 200 meters, though. [2137.06] AndyRC: Yeah, actually, it probably was about 200 meters, but it looked epic. [2141.54] AndyRC: It was like a valley kind of thing. [2145.06] AndyRC: Yeah, he flew it. [2146.18] AndyRC: He must have been using crossfire. [2148.5] AndyRC: It did drop me a pin ages ago, because I said I was going to go, but then I got ill. [2155.54] AndyRC: But, yeah, that's in the Peak District as well. [2158.26] AndyRC: Andy, you need to show me where you are going to be staying. [2163.38] AndyRC: You and Fraser, right? [2165.06] AndyRC: Neil Jones just sent five pound and said, how do I send you money? [2168.82] Curry: Just like that. [2169.54] Tony: Just keep clicking that button. [2170.58] Tony: Just like that. [2172.02] Tony: Thank you very much, Neil Jones. [2173.46] Tony: You get a firework or something for your donation. [2177.7] Tony: Now we know you're not the NJ that we thought you were. [2182.02] AndyRC: Lurgie says he was on Spectrum doing that. [2185.06] AndyRC: How? [2186.34] Jack: I'm just kidding. [2188.18] Tony: There you go. [2188.74] Jack: Thank you very much. [2192.02] Jack: The magic pencil makes this really intense. [2198.42] Curry: Well, it's so careful. [2200.26] Jack: Being a bit chilled out and then being like, whoa, I've got to. [2203.78] AndyRC: Has everything just burst into a rainbow and there are unicorns and things just flying around? [2211.46] Jack: No, it's more terrifying than that. [2216.74] Tony: You just hope you like to see a moth. [2220.1] AndyRC: Oh, God, there's one in here last night. [2222.26] AndyRC: Oh, man. [2223.94] AndyRC: Yeah, it's moth season now, isn't it? [2227.22] AndyRC: Moth and then it'll be daddy long legs. [2229.86] AndyRC: Yeah, daddy long legs. [2233.06] Curry: Be a spider or be a fly. [2234.66] Curry: Make your mind up. [2235.46] Curry: That's what I say about daddy long legs. [2239.06] Jack: One of my favorite things was the little thing that Ricky Gervais did about daddy long legs [2246.5] Jack: and about how they've got the worst venom in the world, but no teeth. [2250.82] Jack: Yeah, apparently so. [2252.82] Jack: To administrate the poison. [2254.66] Jack: The animals tour. [2257.62] Jack: Yeah, it's his little part of animal store. [2259.86] Curry: Yeah, I thought you could talk about the fly dessert on Nob Island. [2264.26] Curry: That one he did, which I always thought. [2266.58] Curry: Oh, no. [2267.06] Jack: Oh, that's the podcast. [2273.62] Jack: Yeah, when he's all about. [2275.14] Jack: Oh, yeah, I've got some fly jokes, but I'm not going to talk about that. [2283.64] AndyRC: Chrissy says anybody see the news about Amazon applying for exemptions for beyond visual [2291.0] AndyRC: line of sight, Andy? [2293.64] SPEAKER_03: I haven't. [2294.2] AndyRC: Didn't they receive it somewhere? [2295.8] SPEAKER_03: I mean, I know that they got a lot of leeway where they're flying around Oxford, Cambridge, [2304.12] SPEAKER_03: somewhere around there where they've got a field and they've had that for years. [2307.8] SPEAKER_03: I know they've been very close with the CIA about that. [2311.96] SPEAKER_03: But my understanding is that still everyone that has been given a permissions is on [2319.16] SPEAKER_03: extended visual line of sight. [2321.64] SPEAKER_03: So it's basically you get permission to say we've got a system in place where someone is watching [2327.08] SPEAKER_03: it and telling the pilot what's going on, but they're not necessarily in the same place. [2332.52] SPEAKER_03: So they're like on the phone or whatever. [2335.4] SPEAKER_03: And that they've got a permission and a way of working that worked through all the risks [2340.2] SPEAKER_03: and everything and got the backups and backups up on backups to say that there is a way of [2344.68] SPEAKER_03: dealing with it. [2345.72] SPEAKER_03: And they've got a way of working that the CIA have said, OK, you're allowed to do that [2351.08] SPEAKER_03: within this particular area and you have to let us know every time you do it and all that [2354.36] SPEAKER_03: kind of thing. [2356.04] SPEAKER_03: That's my understanding. [2356.84] Curry: Presumably, there is some sort of framework for completely automated flights or remote [2364.52] Curry: piloting flights because obviously the military do it. [2366.92] Curry: And although they're the military, they do fly through civilian air space. [2369.72] Curry: So at some point, they must have gone through this and agreed it. [2374.28] SPEAKER_03: Well, they don't fly the UAVs outside of particular zones in civilian air space. [2382.76] SPEAKER_03: So they've got a place in Wales where they do fly it. [2385.56] SPEAKER_03: And it has been known to go a bit wrong. [2388.52] SPEAKER_03: They landed quite close to a school before and quite a few. [2392.68] SPEAKER_03: But, yeah, so they don't just kind of go on a trip through the Midlands or anything. [2400.92] SPEAKER_03: They go in these... [2401.96] SPEAKER_03: The what? [2403.48] AndyRC: The what? [2404.68] AndyRC: You mean the Northerns? [2408.28] AndyRC: What is this Midlands that you're talking about? [2410.6] SPEAKER_03: That's between London and Bedford. [2413.48] Curry: Midlands is the technical name for it, which is in the North. [2416.6] Curry: There's various regions in the North, one of which is bizarrely called the Midlands. [2420.28] AndyRC: Yeah, because you know why? [2421.88] AndyRC: Because it's not North. [2423.32] AndyRC: It's in the mid-heart angle. [2425.64] Curry: Oh, no, it's like the South, East and North. [2430.68] Jack: Hope you're feeling better. [2431.72] Jack: Drone Racer says he listens to the old... [2434.92] Tony: I still listen to the old podcast, Drone Racer says. [2438.6] Tony: That's cool. [2439.32] Tony: Oh, my God. [2440.44] Tony: Do you like... [2441.4] Jack: Is it that weird kink where you like to hurt yourself? [2448.28] Jack: Oh, man. [2449.08] Jack: Oh, man. [2450.2] Jack: The old... [2451.0] Jack: How old, though, Drone Racer? [2453.24] Jack: What are we talking? [2454.52] Tony: Give us some numbers. [2459.8] Tony: Can we play the first one ever on here? [2462.84] Tony: When I watched back the old... [2466.68] Tony: It was so tame compared to now. [2469.0] Tony: Like, it was... [2469.96] Tony: Well, yeah, it was off. [2471.24] Tony: It was like a pilot, wasn't it? [2472.68] Tony: It was like behave and stuff. [2475.8] Tony: Yes, we're on. [2476.6] Tony: We can swear and talk bollocks. [2479.4] Tony: So that's what we did. [2481.08] Tony: We tried to be nice [2482.12] Tony: because we weren't actually on our own show. [2484.2] Tony: We were on Dom's Thursday night show. [2487.16] Curry: Mr. Fruity Cakes is asking who won the comp. [2491.48] Curry: And we did tell the people who won. [2494.2] Curry: But I guess it is worth announcing here as well. [2496.68] Curry: That might be quite useful. [2497.88] SPEAKER_03: Definitely. [2499.48] SPEAKER_03: Jack, you've got all the prizes. [2502.04] Jack: Sorry. [2502.76] Jack: Yep, got all the prizes. [2504.04] Jack: I'll divide them up equally. [2506.12] Jack: And third place is only some stickers. [2510.44] Jack: But still, thank you so much to everyone who entered. [2514.68] Jack: And thanks, Droneislife, [2517.16] Jack: for giving us this stuff and sponsoring us [2520.44] Jack: and helping us out. [2521.96] Jack: And, you know, thanks for everyone [2523.8] Jack: who's listened over the years. [2526.04] Jack: And yeah, and everyone who... [2529.72] Curry: As well, if you can bring your mind back. [2533.64] Curry: It's best to say who won. [2534.6] Curry: What was that? [2536.12] Jack: Oh, who won? [2536.76] Jack: I haven't got the email out. [2538.84] Jack: Hang on. [2539.88] Jack: Frank, do you want to read it? [2541.24] SPEAKER_03: Do you want to read the order?
