[139.79] AndyRC: I've had a very prestigious special edition
[142.99] AndyRC: modeled failsafe over some trees. Uh spent three four hours looking for it.
[150.19] AndyRC: Uh it failsafed over like 100 foot trees just like and it's a micro but it's the
[156.51] AndyRC: world's fastest micro which should give you some
[159.55] AndyRC: which should give you some clues to what model it was.
[162.59] AndyRC: Yeah so only 100 being made and uh so we we've got good
[168.51] AndyRC: sun up you know we've got sorry good weather up here. We've had
[171.95] AndyRC: it's the only two days in a row that we've had
[175.15] AndyRC: no wind or rain it's either been blowing 20 30 mile per hour
[180.43] AndyRC: wind and when it's not doing that it's raining. So I took the silly decision to
[185.39] AndyRC: uh fly the model before doing the bench part
[190.03] AndyRC: and uh it failsafed over over top of the tree and it's gone.
[193.95] AndyRC: So it's a shame yeah it's the um can you not see it or know where it is?
[199.63] Curry: Surely your battery backed beeper that everybody should install on all models
[204.51] Curry: must have been beeping and you would have heard it.
[206.59] AndyRC: Yeah do you know what happened with that it threw itself
[209.87] AndyRC: out of the model when it hit the tree just like the battery so uh
[213.47] AndyRC: yeah that was away beeping on its on its on the ground
[217.07] AndyRC: nicely um but unfortunately I found the battery that had massive damage in it.
[222.59] Curry: Detectors going off I don't think you had a beeper in it.
[225.87] AndyRC: No do you know why because uh it was a micro it's well it's yeah well it
[232.75] AndyRC: doesn't come with one yeah that's true if I had one of those it

[241.07] AndyRC: one of yours slung one of those beepers or something I saw one of your I
[245.55] AndyRC: actually met your channel rather than nobody was. Yes but I didn't crash to
[249.95] Curry: quad at the same time I just happened to do this
[252.35] Curry: I did like a roll over a tree and because it wasn't attached properly
[256.19] Curry: it sort of went zoomed in and acted like a trebuchet it went flying off
[260.59] Curry: but I landed the quad and of course the beeper was beeping really loudly so
[264.03] Curry: I just went and got that really easily because it was loud.
[267.31] Curry: So yeah well I've tried to sort of and the quad would have gone that would
[272.19] AndyRC: have been a problem. Trying to break this the unofficial
[276.67] AndyRC: speed record that I hold and uh so one of those wouldn't have
[281.79] AndyRC: helped that you know any extra weight. No DVR?
[285.39] AndyRC: Yeah DVR got plenty of it's useless. Or is it just like
[289.71] AndyRC: top of a tree DVR? Well well it's like a mini forest
[293.47] AndyRC: so you know a tree is a tree you know it's like
[296.99] AndyRC: it's a hundred foot up and quadcopters are
[300.67] AndyRC: you know they might as well be designed to get stuck in trees
[304.35] AndyRC: as their second feature first feature flying second
[308.35] Tony: because wedged into a tree. I've rescued many of a friend out of a tree to be
[313.07] AndyRC: fair. I've rescued loads out of trees but this
[315.87] AndyRC: one just you know it's it's a micro it's like
[319.95] AndyRC: I mean I've got it I've got the non-special edition here this is the
[323.87] AndyRC: size of it uh and it's a hundred foot up. That's
[327.47] AndyRC: hard to see. I mean it's it's completely but this one
[332.19] AndyRC: had like a special edition black canopy uh and yeah I'm so gutted
[337.95] AndyRC: I feel bad for it for diatone as well like I
[341.47] AndyRC: apologize. Well I say apologize but it failsafe
[344.43] AndyRC: I don't know why it failsafe because it was fairly close in
[347.79] AndyRC: um I imagine probably you know trying to do these speed runs
[352.43] AndyRC: maybe the receiver browned out or something like that or or it's just
[355.79] AndyRC: unlucky. You can you can have failsafe just
[358.19] Tony: randomly can't you? I haven't been flying a week and it's been
[362.11] Tony: absolutely gorgeous. I'm actually flying tomorrow afternoon slash evening
[366.35] Tony: because it's dark. Where are you flying? Just our local field
[372.59] Tony: but our local field has got the um tough mudder in so
[376.75] Tony: there's lots of obstacles and stuff to fly around this
[380.11] Tony: week so I'm gonna have a crack at that. How come you haven't flown all week
[385.39] AndyRC: with this nice weather man that's all I've been doing. I've been out with my
[390.27] Tony: um Vanessa's lunchbox
[394.11] Tony: in the evenings and it's in bits because I've blown up the gearbox
[397.87] AndyRC: already. Oh this was that did you ever get what
[401.79] Tony: you actually wanted out of that thing? Yeah I wouldn't um I bought it because
[406.59] Tony: it was a childhood thing I always wanted. Yeah but we went through like your
[411.71] Tony: live streaming. Yeah yeah I built it with Daniel live
[415.47] Tony: and then uh it was all on his channel but no no we
[418.99] Tony: didn't get that to work so reverse is a bit awkward on the
[422.67] Tony: track but um it saves by an um you know attorney
[427.23] Tony: what's him would call it thing so and so it works it's just a bit
[432.03] Tony: dodgy but what I did was um upgrade the motor
[436.43] Tony: straight away to a 15 turn so it was a lot faster on 2s
[440.91] Tony: and then last night I put a 3s in it and it just couldn't
[444.35] Tony: do it it was like I blew the cogs in the gearbox so
[447.95] Curry: oh no plastic plastic gearing isn't it? It is plastic gearing. Is it just little
[454.35] Curry: plastic discs now with no teeth on at all?
[457.63] Tony: Well there's teeth missing let's put it that way
[461.47] Tony: yeah it was a it's a brass cog which is on the motor
[465.87] Tony: to plastic which I find very weird but um
[470.19] Tony: yeah I just overpowered it and I need to um I ordered parts though
[474.91] Tony: we're redoing it again and I'm I'll just I'm gonna leave it at 2s with a 15

[482.91] Tony: yeah I've just been mucking around with that. What are you the bug with for RC cars?
[487.71] Tony: Uh being a kid it took me back to being 15 and uh being at being in school with
[494.27] Tony: the Tamiya brochures just looking through it at the the likes of the Hornet the
[499.47] Tony: Frog uh the Grasshopper and I always wanted
[503.39] Tony: either the Midnight Pumpkin or the Tamiya lunchbox and
[506.35] AndyRC: see here's this here's where I struggle with RC cars
[509.79] AndyRC: you've got a Honda Integra Type R one of the best road cars
[515.07] AndyRC: like you could it's a racing car basically with license plate
[518.99] AndyRC: so so that's that's attainable whereas you know flying having my own plane
[526.27] AndyRC: isn't so that that's where I struggle with RC cars if I want to go in
[530.03] AndyRC: and you know be a bit naughty or whatever and just go
[533.55] AndyRC: on a track day or something like that with your car is there something
[537.07] Tony: different that I'm missing? It's just it's just the thing
[541.39] Tony: in the 80s that I wanted as a kid and never could afford
[545.31] Tony: yeah now I can now I can I can like oh I remember that I want to get around
[552.83] Tony: Is it going to be FPVs as well Tony? No no it's just it's just a bit of fun

[561.55] AndyRC: I like it so Tony's doing cars I'm doing free flight

[571.15] Curry: we do a bit of everything it's all about it's RC isn't it really we are when it
[577.15] AndyRC: comes to RC we are I think the term is polyamorous is that the right term
[582.59] Curry: we love many things well exactly well with anything
[588.11] Tony: and the RC swore and now I've had a bad day
[591.79] Tony: to put in a beepy beep now I've had a bad day
[596.91] Curry: sorry everybody I managed to fly today I flew at
[600.75] Curry: the Lava X which was quite good fun have you seen that but you
[604.03] Tony: Lava X is that is that the game that you played as a kid where you jumped all
[609.39] Tony: over your mum's settee and said the floor is lava love the lavas on the
[613.55] Curry: floor now it's going to have one of these little
[617.31] AndyRC: is it a tooth is it a toothpick way nor is it not
[620.43] Curry: no it's they don't even suggest it's a toothpick it's a proper two and a half
[624.11] Curry: inch well it's still got like the the whoop
[626.91] Curry: type stack the diagonal slightly bigger thing
[629.71] AndyRC: interesting that yours has got the HQ props on did it come with the AVAM
[635.07] Curry: props no what happens is if you look at the
[637.87] Curry: banggood website right now it's saying um emacs couldn't supply them enough
[642.59] Curry: props so you get a random HQ or AVAM so I feel quite hard done by having
[647.55] Curry: HQ props HQ is quite good though but I am I couldn't
[652.59] AndyRC: quite get it dialed in um it would I but I think and I think
[657.71] AndyRC: it's to do with all of the obstacles on the frame and I sort of
[661.71] AndyRC: compared it to the struts on a tiny whip you know
[666.43] AndyRC: I kept getting I mean it flew really smoothly
[670.11] AndyRC: but then you'd pull out of the like a split s
[673.07] AndyRC: and you'd get a huge wobble and I spent hours trying to tune that
[677.95] AndyRC: out and no matter what I did and um happy model actually agreed with me
[682.67] AndyRC: they're like you're actually not the first person to say that
[686.83] AndyRC: um if you're not bothered by stuff like that which a lot of people aren't
[691.63] AndyRC: I mean the problem is you know it's it's it's kind of like um I've been
[697.07] AndyRC: driving Ferraris and Lamborghinis for a while so
[700.43] AndyRC: when you step into I don't know a voxel astro like I've got
[705.23] AndyRC: then maybe you'll have some complaints so
[708.43] AndyRC: um I think as a model in general it's great I just couldn't get
[712.51] AndyRC: I couldn't get rid of the prop wash oscillations
[715.71] Curry: that's really interesting because I found because I've been flying toothpicks
[719.39] Curry: for ages and these little these little bi-blade
[722.83] Curry: things as you're not a fan of them I know because of the flutter
[726.43] AndyRC: but going to this no no I'm a fan of them I'm a fan of them I just think you
[730.19] AndyRC: have to use the right battery for them yeah
[732.35] Curry: which I like the craziness the preciseness of this one when you go
[736.83] Curry: into like a split s and just pull around it just
[739.47] Curry: stops to zero drift because it just holds the air so I wasn't getting any
[743.71] Curry: any bad wobbles coming out of stuff but I did notice there was a little bit of
[747.07] Curry: gel on the camera and I felt that the the Runcan Nano
[750.51] Curry: which I was expecting good things from was a little bit red
[753.79] AndyRC: a little bit like the the Calyx EOS 2 yeah I've been noticing that though I
[760.27] AndyRC: think were you flying it what time were you
[762.51] AndyRC: flying it because I've been noticing a little bit of red
[765.79] AndyRC: through the camera but it's been at like golden hour
[768.99] Curry: but if I was between 11 and 12 I flew this
[773.39] AndyRC: so you shouldn't be getting it then the camera was
[776.43] AndyRC: wasn't the problem maybe it's the props then because I flew
[779.87] AndyRC: the the Avan props which are usually you know bulletproof
[786.19] AndyRC: Avan Rocha they call the 2.5 inch version
[790.43] AndyRC: and yeah I was getting a wobble but I couldn't tune it out so maybe maybe the
[794.19] AndyRC: HQ props is the way to go but my biggest problem with it was
[798.91] AndyRC: they sent me the FOS guy version so I got a range of about you know
[805.79] Curry: 80 meters amount with it and it's got a what they had the SPI because I
[809.95] Curry: I said specifically when they said do you want to try it I said yeah but I
[812.51] Curry: need I need a proper receiver so I got the RXSR in that
[816.83] AndyRC: oh well you see you see they don't respect me
[820.59] AndyRC: they didn't give me that I didn't have that option
[824.35] AndyRC: they give me the SPI one and it's well to be fair they said
[827.47] Curry: okay but if we give one to you we'll have to
[829.87] Curry: only give the regular one to Andy RC and I said that's not a problem

[838.51] AndyRC: nice talk about you know the HD system the problem is tone it's

[848.43] AndyRC: if you've noticed people have only made really short videos

[855.47] AndyRC: this this is the problem is like people you'll hear that people say it's like

[865.79] AndyRC: and it really does go that deep and I've been working on this
[869.71] AndyRC: video for about a month now and I'm still finding
[873.31] AndyRC: new things like like I'm going as far as finding out which each antenna
[878.91] AndyRC: on the gobble does what what it what it does and what it doesn't
[883.95] AndyRC: there's nothing out there like that so I'm going like
[887.47] AndyRC: the only problem is the video could be like you know an hour and a
[890.99] AndyRC: hour and a half long maybe you should do it in two parts
[894.27] AndyRC: but I don't those those never work people
[897.87] AndyRC: people like to binge watch stuff they don't want to
[902.35] AndyRC: anytime I've done a series it's bombed shouldn't use the word bomb on a

[911.47] Tony: because all my house saying you know what bomb I don't want bombs just say
[915.95] AndyRC: it's nuked hang on well it's a it's a it's a term in
[920.11] AndyRC: America if you're a comedian if you go on stage and

[926.59] AndyRC: so that uh but anyways yeah anytime I've gone
[931.23] AndyRC: I did I did I did a kiss series which was like four videos long and
[937.31] AndyRC: they got barely a thousand views each and I was like man I spent like
[942.35] AndyRC: a month on this stuff so I'm like now do you know what

[949.15] AndyRC: two weeks well it's and and do the odd free flight in the middle just

[1182.67] AndyRC: against my astra you know I would say anytime I get to somewhere in my car I

[1198.67] Tony: still still mine my car is so old 2000 it's like gonna be 20 years old next

[1302.51] Frank: you know well I mean it was it was only the bonsai
[1306.51] Frank: and it was strapped to the back of my bag but um
[1309.39] Frank: so one with scrubs I bet it looked like you were trying to fly
[1313.47] AndyRC: it was the other way around okay they'll be like ah he's not gonna fly
[1318.35] AndyRC: it's the wrong way around
[1321.87] Frank: sorry carry on yeah so one with scrubs is where there is a prison but there's
[1327.23] Frank: a mass like the scrubs is a scrubland so it's
[1330.35] Frank: a huge space and part of that space is a designated model flying field
[1334.51] Curry: interestingly enough there's so many um surrounding areas of
[1339.23] Curry: prisons which is a no fly zone and this is a designated fly zone
[1342.83] Jack: yeah really smell toast I think I'm having a stroke
[1349.31] Jack: are you just cooking toast is that the no I think it is coming from outside
[1354.75] Jack: have you checked your lipos have you checked neighbors
[1359.07] Frank: um but yeah so one with scrubs is a prison but also a big area where there
[1364.59] Frank: is a model flying field and uh yeah we went and flew there
[1368.67] Frank: uh it was a really nice day blue skies all over
[1371.87] Frank: and uh so we started off there's just a few of us with some wings
[1376.19] Frank: um and then there was a a couple of guys with a
[1382.43] Frank: flight test uh mini guinea or it might have just been the proper
[1386.19] Frank: guinea pig um came along and and we're dropping
[1389.71] Frank: things out the back of that and I donated some streamers to that
[1392.67] Frank: and then a guy with a mavic pro came along and was flying that and then
[1397.87] Frank: someone else with a 3d heli started buying that as well so we had like this
[1402.51] Frank: field like there's no like specific organization there but we've
[1407.87] Frank: just got kind of all things flying all over
[1411.07] Frank: and uh then then we were looking well a couple of people were flying I was
[1416.67] Frank: looking around uh and uh there was a car on the field
[1421.79] Frank: and it was making a beeline for us and it was a white car
[1425.79] Frank: and as it got closer it was very clearly a police car
[1429.07] Tony: and white car with a red uh what a blue god come on Tony
[1434.03] Curry: I think why you've got a plane flying up next to wormwood's grubs what could
[1438.43] AndyRC: possibly be my question is going to be how many
[1441.63] AndyRC: grams did you drop over the prison how many files did you have in your
[1446.59] Frank: back pocket yeah so um so yeah
[1451.55] Frank: answering the question i love it it's called out that the you know it's
[1457.63] Frank: police it's the rozzers you show it isn't it
