[0.0] Jack: Hello and welcome to Let's Drone Out. The best, well the only UK FPV podcast
[6.8] Jack: sponsored by the lovely people from our Patreon. Patreon.com forward slash Let's Drone Out.
[12.88] Jack: In particular we'd like to thank these guys. Art Faulkner. Mikey Dredd. Wacky Wes. David Powell.
[24.24] Jack: Thank you guys. You're the best. We can edit our podcast. Thank you.
[58.93] Jack: Hello and welcome to the best show on the internet on a Thursday at roughly eight-ish.
[66.77] Jack: You are listening to Let's Drone Out. You are joined by Andrew Stashrank. Good evening.
[76.29] Frank: With the disclaimer. Oh, there's an illegal notice. Any views expressed by any guests on
[83.89] Frank: this show are personal and may not reflect the views of the hosts or any participant of the show.
[89.89] AndyRC: I think an extra part needs to be added in there.
[94.13] Jack: The rest of us who can't. Do you not try this at home? Andy R.C.
[101.17] Jack: How do. My little Tony or me and the merciless Bonjour.
[108.13] Jack: And I'm Brighton to Lifeline and I love everyone in chat because you guys rock.
[115.65] Jack: Let's start the show. So today what I've been up to I went round Tony's and I tried to get into a
[123.01] Jack: vote and then I found out he wasn't registered to vote after I dragged him to his voting station.
[128.85] Jack: What? He thought it would be funny not to tell me that and then spend half my time driving around
[138.53] Jack: the corner in my car to find out that he wasn't registered and the old grandma that was there was
[145.57] Jack: like he ain't registered and and then he made me take me take him to where did we go? Asda.
[157.81] Jack: Well, as they give out registrations. No, no. Well, I wanted to buy more fireworks.
[166.53] Jack: Yeah, they didn't have any. So we're on we're on we're on rations for fireworks and Tony done
[173.17] Jack: half his shopping. I felt like I was taking my granddad out and you know for like day release
[180.13] Jack: and stuff. Yeah, there's nothing fair play right to Crawley. Docks in Tony on where he lives,
[191.73] Jack: but I think everyone knows anyway. It's near Gallwick isn't it? Yeah, on a wet day right.
[200.21] Jack: Fair play like the birds at Crawley. You know, they turn out there's there's some pretty ladies
[207.81] Jack: in Crawley. None of them are able to vote in this country, but they're all nice nevertheless.
[220.69] Jack: Right wing thing you'll ever hear me say it's a little bit of a joke. Don't worry. I hope you'll
[228.53] Jack: vote it. Did you vote? No, you don't leave the house. You're an idiot and didn't register.
[233.73] AndyRC: I know you voted because you don't house your home. Listen, I don't ever recall registering to vote,
[243.01] AndyRC: but I get the polling cards through. So when did I register to vote? How do you register to vote?
[248.45] AndyRC: Because I did at some point because I get got the cards through. Did you vote? Yeah, of course I
[254.45] Jack: did. Yeah. How? By post? No, I left the house. I left the house. Is the polling station set up in
[264.21] Frank: some sort of... Is it in the park? Is it by the dog poo bin? You can just put your polling card
[270.69] AndyRC: in the dog poo bin. Well, I might as well have done, but that's beyond the point. If you walk
[278.29] AndyRC: past the dog poo bin, take a left and walk 100 yards, there's a polling station. So it was quite
[294.53] AndyRC: easy for me. Although I have to say I was extremely uncomfortable and I may have spoiled my vote by
[304.13] AndyRC: putting the wrong... Actually, I had to ask the lady if I have... What do they call it when Jack
[313.25] AndyRC: draws a willy on his? What do they call that? Spoiler vote. Yeah, I put a tick instead of a cross,
[321.89] AndyRC: but apparently that's fine. As long as there's a clear intention, it's all right. It specifically
[328.77] AndyRC: said cross, but I did a tick and I ticked Nazi and then signed it. I cleanly marked mine, but
[344.21] Jack: instead of drawing an X or a tick, I draw a penis in mine. Did you do it within the box? Yeah,
[352.29] AndyRC: within the box, yeah. That would count as a spoiled one though, wouldn't it? I think.
[357.73] Frank: The thing is, it's going to go into a pile at the end where they go counting the cops.
[364.69] Frank: It's going to go like the maybe pile. Yeah. Why do you want to see one? There is a maybe pile
[373.01] Frank: and they get them all around at the end and go like, I think this one is a vote for that one
[377.65] Frank: and if they all agree, then it's a vote for that one. Because you know what's interesting,
[381.09] AndyRC: the lady said to me, she said, it doesn't matter whether you've done a tick or a cross. She said,
[385.73] Jack: as long as there is something in the box. My penis was spot on in the box. I think DVA out.
[397.97] AndyRC: It is small enough to go in that box. Can you imagine if you just did some dots emanating
[404.05] AndyRC: from the crown? It could have invalidated it, Jack, but if you got it perfectly in the square,
[411.01] Jack: then did you vote for the Nazi party as well? No, I went to the green representative who
[419.41] Jack: asked me who I was on the number and I said, I'm tactically voting and I said,
[426.29] Jack: if I find out you've put the parking permit costs up, stop me driving through town and
[433.73] Jack: yelling at people, I'm going to personally shit in an envelope and send it to Caroline Lucas.
[441.73] Jack: Do you know what she said? She goes, that's a local matter, this is a general election.
[449.49] AndyRC: Did you actually say that? I just walked in there. I'm surprised you didn't say to the lady,
[458.85] AndyRC: which one of these are going to put extra taxes on top of dildos. Tell me about the rest of your
[466.05] AndyRC: day because you two fascinate me way more than this election could ever do.
[475.01] Tony: Tony, you couldn't vote in the end.
[479.17] Jack: Tony, light all of them up. Zero donated tenor.
[485.09] Jack: Where did he donate? On the proper donation link in the bottom. Well, Frank gets all the money.
[493.49] Jack: There's none of us can be trusted. He's the trustee.
[500.85] Jack: For tax reasons, he doesn't embezzle anything.
[504.77] Frank: Alexa, send Let's Drone out money.
[511.01] Tony: Are we going to talk about any drone stuff because this has become a political show now.
[515.57] AndyRC: Yeah, I get a light some zero. It's hard for it to not be a political show
[525.65] AndyRC: when it's on the day of the voted general election, isn't it? No, no, dog, you stay down, dog.
[537.81] Jack: They welded themselves together.
[539.65] Tony: Why is there ash going everywhere?
[544.13] AndyRC: A bit like Parliament, you could say.
[547.09] Tony: Make me labs here.
[551.09] Tony: You know that guy who was going to burn stuff down? Guy Fawkes.
[556.69] Tony: I quite like the bloke who.
[558.61] Tony: I don't think he's running tone.
[560.69] Tony: Oh, that's a shame because if he was, I'll definitely vote for him. Thanks, Zero.
[565.57] Jack: Who was that guy who was in a suit of armor with a long hat? He was quite funny.
[576.21] AndyRC: What?
[576.45] AndyRC: I have no idea.
[579.65] Jack: Yeah, Lord Buckethead.
[581.01] AndyRC: Yeah, I tell you what, let's talk a little bit of sort of drone topic.
[588.29] AndyRC: Did anybody see Peter Shreveau's latest videos where Tom Stanton was in two of them?
[595.97] AndyRC: Rocket thing, wasn't it?
[597.17] AndyRC: Yeah. And then there was like secret things that were sort of blurred out.
[603.33] AndyRC: And I'm like, what's going on there? So I wonder if there's some sort of
[607.41] AndyRC: like get together of a bunch of engineers that happen.
[611.73] Frank: It definitely was. I said to Jack, I haven't heard anything from Jack Capra in a while.
[616.93] Frank: I wonder what he's up to.
[620.45] AndyRC: Yeah. And there was dollar signs like over the top.
[623.97] Jack: That's the demonetization symbol.
[626.61] AndyRC: Oh, is that what it was?
[629.81] Jack: So there was some sort of dildo there or something that didn't show the children.
[635.81] AndyRC: They were in California and it looked very much like the office that RST test flight,
[642.21] AndyRC: AKA Daniel works from. So I wonder if they've all got together because I'm a huge
[647.17] Jack: They were dropping stuff off William Osman's new pad.
[652.93] AndyRC: I don't know who that is.
[654.13] Jack: You don't know who William Osman did.
[655.97] AndyRC: You'll have to.
[656.93] Jack: Can you imagine me going to
[664.29] Jack: going to engineer university and then passing and then actually being attractive enough to have
[670.93] Jack: a caretaker and then somehow getting the knowledge from Frank, how carbon.
[680.61] Jack: What are they called?
[681.81] Jack: Carbon dioxide, laser tubes work.
[684.61] Jack: Is that right, Frank?
[686.13] Jack: Yeah.
[687.09] Jack: Yeah.
[687.57] Jack: And making them work and then burning my house down.
[691.81] Jack: And then, yeah.
[693.09] Jack: And, you know, like he loves cats even more than I do.
[696.69] Jack: And I love cats.
[699.09] Jack: Yeah.
[699.97] Jack: And that's William Osman.
[701.09] AndyRC: Yeah, okay.
[704.05] Jack: Have you never seen William Osman?
[705.65] Jack: He made a Vin Diesel out of laser cut ham.
[710.77] AndyRC: Yeah.
[711.01] Jack: We're going a genius.
[713.33] AndyRC: You've made a Vin Diesel out of something, haven't you, Jack?
[715.73] AndyRC: But that's for another day.
[718.29] Frank: That's for a future video.
[723.33] Frank: It's for the new shop collection on the LDO shop, right?
[727.17] Frank: Huh?
[728.37] Frank: That's for the new sock collection on the LDO shop.
[731.41] Jack: Can you buy all your socks?
[733.33] Jack: If I make a wank sock on the LDO shop, wouldn't you buy any?
[739.73] AndyRC: I'll buy one.
[740.61] AndyRC: I'll tell you now.
[742.61] AndyRC: So you only buy them in one order?
[745.25] AndyRC: Single socks.
[746.37] Jack: Yeah, if you want two socks, you've got to buy two.
[749.33] Jack: If you want to jerk off into it, it's one.
[752.29] Jack: Oh, for God's sake.
[753.49] Jack: You buy one single socks now.
[756.37] Jack: Nice little bit of bears.
[759.89] AndyRC: Can you pick each one of our faces?
[765.73] Jack: Like getting embroidered so you can have your name on it
[768.45] Jack: or you can get ones with Jennifer Lawrence's face on it.
[773.17] Jack: Well, I don't know for legal reasons whether we're allowed to do that.
[777.25] AndyRC: No, licensing reasons not, however.
[780.53] AndyRC: I'd like one with two.
[781.89] AndyRC: No likeness.
[783.73] AndyRC: Yes.
[784.45] AndyRC: I think everybody does.
[787.97] AndyRC: I want one with Tony's face on, please.
[790.21] Jack: Yeah, all right.
[790.69] Jack: We'll make it with Tony's face.
[791.89] Jack: Thank you.
[792.53] Jack: Great.
[792.85] Jack: Thanks.
[793.33] Jack: Thanks, guys.
[795.01] Tony: Are we going to talk anything drone related?
[796.77] Tony: Yeah.
[800.21] Jack: I found this in my DJI product.
[802.53] Jack: I think it might be spying on me.
[805.41] Tony: Yeah, I think it is.
[807.09] AndyRC: Looks like a third eye when you put up against your four hashtag.
[811.09] AndyRC: Why does a GPS puck need to be this big, Frank?
[819.41] AndyRC: Everything in his mouth.
[822.69] AndyRC: There is nothing that Jack has not put in his mouth.
[825.09] Jack: I can guarantee that.
[828.05] Jack: Ask Lily.
[831.01] AndyRC: I don't need to.
[833.49] AndyRC: Plenty of pictures of all of that.
[838.69] AndyRC: Oh, for God's sake.
[841.17] Tony: Come on, Frank.
[842.37] Tony: Tell us what's happened in the news about DJI.
[848.45] Tony: People say we say DJI, right?
[850.69] Tony: We do.
[853.17] Tony: I know, but we do it to take the piss.
[855.25] Tony: Because they're going to be our lord and masters one day,
[857.41] Tony: because I reckon in five years time,
[860.45] Tony: every single quad will have to have this tracking device on it.
[864.61] Frank: Yeah, I think that's probably reasonable.
[867.65] Frank: Do you think it's a reasonable assumption, but not reasonable?
[872.37] Frank: I think it's a reasonable guess, yes.
[874.13] Frank: I don't think it's a reasonable request.
[877.89] Frank: I think it is probably going to happen at some point in the reasonably near future
[883.97] Frank: five to ten years time.
[885.17] Frank: We're probably going to have a requirement for electronic conspicuity.
[888.93] AndyRC: Even if you've got a B certificate with the BMFA, surely that would exempt you.
[894.77] Frank: Well, honestly, I think it's probably going to get to the point
[899.33] Frank: where you're going to need a B certificate,
[901.81] Frank: and you're going to need to be on a dedicated flying field,
[905.57] Frank: which is basically how it works in Germany.
[907.33] Frank: So they've kind of got, you know, flying sites are specified.
[911.81] Frank: And I think that's probably going to happen at some point over here.
[916.21] Frank: But we'll see if that happens.
[921.33] Frank: There's no talk of that happening.
[923.33] Frank: All of this is not even being talked about in the regulatory world in the UK at the moment.
[931.97] Frank: Where did it come from, then, Andy?
[937.41] Frank: Oh, I can't even remember because I wasn't even thinking about this.
[940.53] Frank: Distraction from Brexit for a second.
[946.37] Frank: There was some kind of UK legislative body that's like,
[952.45] Frank: the DJI system, the Airscope, that's a good way of protecting infrastructure
[958.77] Frank: from possible drone misuse.
[961.73] Frank: It's just kind of on their list of accepted bits of equipment
[965.25] Frank: for protecting from various different threats.
[968.21] Frank: So it's not even like, it's nothing particular.
[972.21] Frank: It's just, oh, yeah, when we've got a prison,
[974.77] Frank: we'll probably use the Airscope, whatever it's called.
[978.93] Frank: Yeah, it was a bit of a robot at the moment.
[981.97] Frank: Or is it all right?
[983.17] Frank: Because I don't know.
[984.69] Jack: What was the stupid voice I was supposed to do tonight?
[988.93] Jack: I can't remember what it's like.
[990.29] Jack: I'm scrolling through my video.
[992.93] Jack: Monkey butt!
[994.77] Jack: Monkey butt!
[995.65] Jack: Oh, yeah.
[996.13] Jack: Monkey butt!
[998.53] Jack: Yeah.
[999.25] Jack: And dick nugget.
[1001.65] Jack: Context, please.
[1003.41] Jack: There is no context.
[1004.61] AndyRC: No, right.
[1005.33] AndyRC: No reason for this, Joe.
[1007.33] AndyRC: MC Creations has got a great question.
[1010.13] AndyRC: He says, Andy R.C., Mavic Mini, with or without spying, or Fimi X8SE.
[1016.85] AndyRC: That's actually a valid question because Fimi really are the only competitors to DJI,
[1023.33] AndyRC: and they don't have any of this, like, no fly zones or any of that business.
[1032.13] Jack: So would you recommend it as the Andy R.C.'s one for terrorist activity?
[1040.85] AndyRC: I'm going to have to speak to my lawyer about that, as I've learned on this show.
[1047.33] AndyRC: As I've learned on this show, you not to say give important answers.
[1054.45] AndyRC: What I will say, MC Creations, is that the Fimi X8SE is a fantastic model,
[1061.33] AndyRC: and I recommend it thoroughly.
[1064.85] AndyRC: It's a great model, but I can't comment on whether it should be used instead of DJI
[1072.69] AndyRC: because it's got less restrictions.
[1076.85] AndyRC: That's up to the user and not myself.
[1079.81] Tony: JoinRages write about there is a 200 gram version of DJI, one in Japan.
[1087.97] Tony: They have to release it even lighter.
[1092.53] AndyRC: It's not going to matter, though, is it, because of all of these...
[1095.33] AndyRC: Well, it's not going to matter to us.
[1099.17] Tony: Anything with the camera is going to be in July, but yeah.
[1105.09] Tony: Yeah, exactly.
[1106.05] AndyRC: Yeah, it depends on where you live, doesn't it?
[1112.29] AndyRC: I think, though, wherever you are, I think just the rules and regulations
[1117.17] AndyRC: are going to get tight.
[1118.13] AndyRC: They'll be different compared to where you live.
[1120.77] AndyRC: But I think regardless, they're just going to get tighter and tighter,
[1124.69] AndyRC: which is why I am now exclusively doing cars, and that's it.
[1131.81] AndyRC: Not exclusively doing cars, but I'm absolutely...
[1134.85] AndyRC: I never thought I would, but I'm absolutely loving.
[1138.69] AndyRC: Not RC cars specifically, but FPV RC cars.
[1143.89] AndyRC: Do you know what? I can get an Integra shell for that too.
[1147.65] AndyRC: Oh, nice.
[1149.57] AndyRC: What is that one?
[1150.29] Tony: Can you show it or not?
[1152.61] Tony: Yeah, I can show it, yeah.
[1154.53] Tony: I've just watched your video of you driving around with the E-Max one.
[1159.49] AndyRC: Yeah, this is a drift car, and drift cars have always fascinated me.
[1165.49] AndyRC: And this is a ready-to-run drift car from a company called FTX,
[1171.09] AndyRC: not to be confused with FXT.
[1175.41] AndyRC: And yeah, so my plan is to heavily modify it and do some cool stuff with it,
[1186.45] AndyRC: because it's easy to follow real drift cars,
[1190.69] AndyRC: but it's not so easy to follow RC drift cars with drones.
[1198.93] Jack: Shall I tweet to Jennifer Lawrence about the line of torque?
[1204.77] AndyRC: I think Jennifer Lawrence has had it.
[1208.21] AndyRC: This is probably the wrong way to say it.
[1210.85] AndyRC: Hard enough, Jack.
[1212.53] AndyRC: So you probably shouldn't.
[1216.53] AndyRC: Maybe pick on somebody else.
[1218.21] Jack: I like her tag.
[1219.49] AndyRC: Somebody who hasn't had that iCloud hacked.
[1222.77] Jack: Yeah.
[1224.61] AndyRC: And had that butthole shown on South Park.
[1228.93] Jack: I just tweeted her that I loved her.
[1232.21] AndyRC: She is my, she would be my number.
[1235.41] AndyRC: She'd be a nightmare, but she's married anyways for now.
[1238.93] AndyRC: See how long that lasts.
[1243.25] Jack: I ruined it, I'm sorry.
[1244.61] Frank: Just to take a bit out of the chat.
[1248.93] Frank: Wacky Wes, also one of our patrons.
[1251.73] Frank: Thank you very much.
[1254.21] Frank: What's the process for a non-resident or tourist
[1256.69] Frank: being able to legally fly in the UK whilst on holiday?
[1260.37] Frank: And no one knows yet.
[1262.45] Frank: This is still being worked out.
[1265.17] Jack: Depends on the election results.
[1267.25] Jack: If you're a dirty foreigner and the wrong people,
[1274.69] Jack: when we won't even let you in.
[1279.57] Tony: Is it right if we, if when we leave,
[1283.81] Tony: whenever that may be.
[1286.37] AndyRC: Tony, you can't say when we leave now until tomorrow.
[1291.25] Jack: Sorry, Frank.
[1292.13] Jack: Just talk over us.
[1293.17] Jack: Just talk over us.
[1295.33] Tony: What I'm trying to say is when we leave,
[1297.17] Tony: are we still keeping the EU laws?
[1299.65] Tony: No.
[1300.53] Tony: Yes, because they're ripping into our laws.
[1303.25] AndyRC: You're talking about, when you say laws,
[1306.21] AndyRC: you're talking about FBV laws.
[1308.77] AndyRC: Yeah, I have problems.
[1310.69] Frank: Yeah, so we're not talking the July 2020 laws.
[1316.05] Frank: But all the laws, not so much, right?
[1319.41] Frank: Well, any new laws we weren't, but.
[1322.85] Frank: I think they look nice to the other ones.
[1327.49] Frank: We've already set up, there is a bit of legislation
[1330.93] Frank: that is basically saying copy and paste everything
[1333.73] Frank: that's in the EU laws and make it our laws.
[1336.05] Frank: And then we'll make adjustments from there as we go up.
[1338.29] Frank: But this is very, very off topic.
[1343.41] AndyRC: We've never done off topic before.
[1345.25] Frank: No, no, this is like off topic too serious,
[1348.21] Frank: not off topic too weird.
[1350.45] Frank: That's very different.
[1354.13] Frank: But yeah, so no one knows how we're going to deal with
[1358.61] Frank: people visiting this country,
[1360.61] Frank: whether they're going to have to register
[1362.05] Frank: or whether we're going to recognize
[1364.85] Frank: kind of competencies from other countries.
[1367.49] Frank: We haven't worked them out yet.
[1369.97] AndyRC: Yeah, it's kind of like if you go to America on a holiday,
[1374.05] AndyRC: you can use a UK driver's license,
[1376.45] AndyRC: can't you, to drive an American vehicle?
[1380.69] Tony: I had to get an IMA insurance
[1386.05] Tony: and put a number on my driving when I was racing.
[1389.89] AndyRC: Yeah, but if you wanted to drive tone,
[1391.97] AndyRC: all you'd have to do is show your driver's license.
[1395.73] AndyRC: Which is kind of hilarious when you think about it,
[1398.69] AndyRC: but that's just how it is.
[1402.21] Frank: What's that about an international driving license then?
[1405.01] Frank: Why did you need that?
[1406.29] Frank: That's the thing.
[1406.93] Frank: Anyway, I have no idea.
[1410.93] Frank: It's too serious, too off topic.
[1416.05] Frank: It has to be a background or really stupid.
[1418.93] Frank: Let's talk about the white sock again.
[1424.29] Frank: Yeah, so we've got like the mini air show
[1427.09] Frank: and things like that and other events,
[1429.09] Frank: competitions, races, loads of stuff
[1432.53] Frank: where we want pilots from other countries
[1436.37] Frank: to be able to come here and fly for an event.
[1439.73] Frank: At the moment, there's just no way of dealing with that
[1442.29] Frank: in a reasonable way besides registering again.
[1448.93] Frank: That's going to be one of the things
[1450.45] Frank: that is continuing to be talked about over the next month.
[1454.93] Frank: Hopefully, we'll get an answer, but for the moment...
[1460.53] Tony: Who knows?
[1461.97] AndyRC: Yeah.
[1463.49] Tony: I know.
[1464.13] Tony: It's weird, isn't it?
[1465.33] Tony: What's going to go?
[1467.17] Tony: Anything else in the news?
[1468.37] Tony: Anyone seen anything else driving?
[1470.61] Jack: You said about a one-handed controller
[1473.25] Jack: so that you can jerk off with the other hand.
[1477.57] Jack: What's that about?
[1478.53] Tony: I don't know.
[1480.37] Tony: Has anyone else seen it?
[1481.97] Tony: I've seen GAP FPV flying it like this,
[1487.57] Tony: doing loops and shit.
[1489.41] AndyRC: You know, funnily enough, I have a friend named Chris,
[1493.81] AndyRC: and he said he's completely baffled
[1497.09] AndyRC: why we aren't using these Oculus Rift
[1501.81] AndyRC: or Wii-style controllers to fly our drones
[1505.57] AndyRC: and we're using these silly old transmitters.
[1510.53] AndyRC: I can see a day when that happens, for sure.
[1513.33] AndyRC: Yeah, absolutely.
[1514.61] AndyRC: But I suppose so many people have mastered their craft
[1520.69] AndyRC: with the traditional way.
[1523.09] AndyRC: It'd be like me trying to be a decent pilot flying mode, too.
[1528.37] AndyRC: Well, it'd be good for disabled people.
[1531.25] Tony: You know, that guy who literally flew with one hand like this
[1535.41] Tony: on the rotor ride a couple of years ago.
[1537.17] Tony: Yeah.
[1539.17] Tony: What was his name again?
[1541.33] Tony: I don't know.
[1541.89] Tony: He's in my friend's list, and I can't remember his name.
[1545.01] Tony: Very good pilot, though.
[1546.21] AndyRC: Yeah, man.
[1547.89] AndyRC: Excellent pilot, yeah.
[1549.65] AndyRC: Andy, I want to...
[1552.77] AndyRC: So there's really nothing in the DJI story.
[1555.01] AndyRC: It's just fluff, basically.
[1558.21] Frank: For the moment, it's the Aeroscopes.
[1562.85] Frank: This is the kit that we saw at Gatwick,
[1566.37] Frank: and it's a bit of kit that reads all the information
[1571.65] Frank: that all the DJI system has spit out.
[1574.37] Frank: And it's been made available for UK infrastructure
[1579.33] Frank: to use it when they're worried about drone misuse
[1583.25] Frank: causing trouble for them.
[1585.49] AndyRC: But it's specific to DJI and not something
[1589.17] AndyRC: that is proposed for all models, right?
[1593.09] Frank: No, that's what DJI are trying to sell it as.
[1596.45] Frank: It's like, oh, look, we have a system that works really well
[1599.49] Frank: for electronic conspiracy.
[1600.93] Frank: All you need to do is make sure that everyone else
[1603.49] Frank: has to use our system, but no one's actually saying,
[1607.17] Frank: yes, we'll make that a law, yeah.
[1610.05] Frank: We'll see how that goes.
[1611.01] Frank: Right, yeah.
[1612.05] Frank: It won't be long.
[1614.85] Frank: That's just part of the DJI press release,
[1617.49] Frank: is that, yes, we could require everyone to use this,
[1619.65] Frank: and everyone could use it, and we would make it available.
[1622.21] AndyRC: Yeah, but if it turns out that it's only DJI
[1626.45] AndyRC: that can implement it, then they're definitely
[1630.45] AndyRC: not going to implement it, because that would affect
[1632.69] AndyRC: their sales, surely, because everyone, like MC Creation
[1636.77] AndyRC: said, there are alternatives to DJI, which are fairly decent.
[1643.81] AndyRC: That would harm them, so unless everybody had to conform
[1648.93] AndyRC: to this rule, then I can't see it happening.
[1653.57] Tony: Which may happen, though.
[1654.77] Tony: We're all lying there.
[1656.05] Tony: We might have to.
[1657.25] AndyRC: It may happen, yeah.
[1659.41] Frank: It's something that, you know, they would like to make,
[1662.61] Frank: well, the UK legislators would like there to be electronic
[1667.41] Frank: conspicuity, and that was something that they started
[1670.29] Frank: writing in a while ago, and then were like,
[1673.25] Frank: oh, you mean this thing doesn't exist yet?
[1675.49] Frank: Oh, we should probably not make that a law,
[1678.37] Frank: and took it out and threw it away, because the thing is,
[1681.01] Frank: they've been trying to make that a thing in general aviation,
[1683.97] Frank: so, you know, microlights, and helicopters, and gliders,
[1686.77] Frank: and everything else, for...
[1688.85] AndyRC: Oh, the things that can actually cause damage
[1692.21] AndyRC: and injure people.
[1693.73] Frank: The ones that have people in them, yes.
[1695.41] Tony: Well, you don't have to have a test, and you can just go out
[1698.53] Tony: and literally buy it and fly it.
[1700.45] Tony: Yeah, the other ones, yeah.
[1702.93] Frank: Those ones, yeah.
[1704.21] Frank: As long as you have, you know, access to a field,
[1706.13] Frank: and, like, a lot of courage.
[1710.05] AndyRC: A parachute and a motorbike.
[1712.45] AndyRC: Moped motor on the back with a propeller.
[1715.41] Frank: Yeah, those ones.
[1717.01] Frank: They've been trying to make it a legal requirement
[1719.17] Frank: for those to have electronic security for about 10 years,
[1722.13] Frank: but no one could agree on a way to do that that works.
[1726.45] AndyRC: Well, hopefully that'll be the same with us then.
[1730.61] Frank: So, yeah, that's kind of the thing is,
[1733.01] Frank: there's a lot of loud and rich voices
[1736.21] Frank: in the general aviation space.
[1737.89] Frank: I mean, not ridiculously rich.
[1739.89] Frank: I mean, to be honest, modelers actually have quite a bit of weight.
[1744.05] Frank: But anyway, they haven't been able to agree
[1749.01] Frank: because there's, like, gliders and there's microlates,
[1752.13] Frank: and you can have, you know, this thing on that,
[1754.05] Frank: on that thing on that, but they don't work together.
[1756.61] Frank: And the fact that, you know, you've got drones,
[1760.85] Frank: which are, like, 80-something percent of the market is DJI,
[1765.49] Frank: something ridiculous like that.
[1767.57] Frank: Well.
[1769.03] Frank: Then, you know, you can see that there's less,
[1773.91] Frank: there's fewer voices that are shouting in that market.
[1776.55] Frank: So it could be the DJI system becomes a standard.
[1782.79] Frank: And I think what they really want is for there to be a standard
[1785.99] Frank: in drones that then they can roll out to everything else.
[1788.39] Frank: Because if it works on a drone, then it will work on everything.
[1791.03] Tony: Well, on everything, yeah.
[1793.51] Frank: Exactly.
[1794.71] Frank: I think that's the thinking.
[1796.87] Frank: But I honestly don't think it's going to go anywhere in the next.
[1801.35] Jack: Can you imagine having to be legally required to purchase a DJI item?
[1809.64] Tony: Well, I think that's a good thing.
[1814.36] Tony: Imagine having to put something on every quad,
[1816.6] Tony: even your bit home built for quads.
[1818.68] Tony: That's where they need to be a separation.
[1821.72] Tony: Because I hope there is will be a separation.
[1824.28] Tony: But I reckon, like I say, for five years,
[1828.92] Jack: If you're on a drone, you know, you're a piece of s**t scum,
[1833.88] Jack: buy your flashing light DJI only drone user pedophile alert collar
[1840.12] Jack: with beacon tracking today.
[1843.72] Jack: Have you not made it yet, Jack?
[1846.04] Jack: No.
[1847.56] Frank: This episode was recorded in front of a live online audience,
[1850.76] Frank: downloaded and edited to make sense when it's played audio only,
[1854.36] Frank: censored to please the iTunes people,
[1856.2] Frank: hosted on the internet,
[1857.24] Frank: forwarded through to your podcast provider,
[1859.08] Frank: downloaded, playing on your device,
[1860.92] Frank: and is now playing in your ears.
[1862.76] Frank: All thanks to our Patreons.
[1864.92] Frank: Consider joining them and you'll also get other online benefits.
[1868.28] Frank: Find out more at patreon.com forward slash let's drone out.
[1872.6] Jack: I'm thinking about the flashing dog collar style.
[1875.48] Frank: There's ADS-B that's a fairly universal standard is like not universal,
[1886.04] Frank: but it's it's getting sorry.
[1888.36] Frank: It's getting in a bit.
[1892.36] Frank: And there was a microphone in the way.
[1895.08] Frank: ADS-B is becoming a fairly universal standard in general aviation,
[1899.24] Frank: but it's still kind of expensive and they can't make everyone buy it essentially.
[1904.04] Frank: But I did meet a guy at the Farnborough Air Show when I was back in the day
[1911.48] Frank: when I was somehow on the committee of the British FPV Racing Association somehow.
[1919.48] AndyRC: Somehow when he's got everyone's name of everybody in a production team
[1924.92] AndyRC: that does a certain particular anti-drone program
[1930.2] AndyRC: and they're all all of a sudden missing.
[1932.92] Frank: Carry on.
[1940.04] Frank: I met there the guy who designed a lot of the spectrum kit
[1947.16] Frank: and he had moved on from designing the spectrum kit
[1950.84] Frank: to a company doing the like micro sort of militarized ADS-B transponders
[1964.84] Frank: for the kind of bigger UAVs where you've got you know a camera drone like a big movie
[1970.6] Frank: like red camera you know up to copter one of those things for those to go on
[1975.0] Frank: so that they can be used reasonably nearby big manned aircraft and everyone to be happy.
[1982.92] Frank: And he was talking about getting it miniaturized down.
[1985.72] Frank: Basically at the time it was still a fairly chunky thing,
[1988.84] Frank: but he was working on the next one that was going to be
[1991.16] Frank: basically like one of Curry's drone beeper things.
[1996.44] AndyRC: Oh god not those things that fly off and beep on their own and you know quads lost forever.
[2005.96] AndyRC: Oh yeah I can I can say bad things against Wayne because he's not here to defend himself.
[2013.64] Jack: No I was a bit worried we bullied you a bit too well I bullied you a bit too much last
[2017.72] Jack: last time.
[2018.6] AndyRC: Every time Tony isn't here I become Tony right.
[2022.52] Tony: No I feel sorry for you man.
[2024.28] AndyRC: So everybody lays into me we've got it's like three against one so Tony I really empathize
[2031.8] Jack: with you because I become you talk to my wife like that.
[2039.24] Tony: I had to sit next to him in a car and have rights.
[2042.6] Tony: My god that boy drives like Miss Daisy.
[2046.44] Tony: Have you told people know what car you've got and how tall you are?
[2052.72] Tony: I don't know.
[2053.76] AndyRC: No.
[2054.88] AndyRC: Have you got the above version Jack or is it there?
[2058.64] AndyRC: No it's the granny version and he drives like one and all.
[2063.12] AndyRC: Because after all of this car thing that I've gotten myself into I'm really wanting
[2072.0] AndyRC: what I really want is an Integra but it'd be a stupid choice because.
[2077.36] Jack: Tony's up for selling his he's not he's on about selling it and becoming a member of
[2083.28] Jack: the travelling community.
[2089.04] AndyRC: Literally.
[2090.34] AndyRC: Tony let me tell you as somebody who has sold their Integra.
[2096.02] AndyRC: I know.
[2096.5] AndyRC: You will regret it for the rest of your life do not sell that car.
[2105.78] Jack: He received in my car and I was like what are you doing with that hussy?
[2111.94] Jack: She hurt you Tony.
[2113.86] Jack: I want mute Jack immediately.
[2116.02] Jack: Why would they have you in your time with me?
[2118.5] Tony: You hear me now or I will scream.
[2122.74] Jack: Have you been on the crack pipe Jack?
[2125.7] Jack: No crack pipe people shouting at me.
[2128.66] Tony: I've got that have a little go of it Jack because it calms you down.
[2132.66] Jack: Come on.
[2139.69] Jack: I'm on keep up.
[2141.61] AndyRC: Oh it's going now.
[2145.21] Tony: He's going to find it I think it's probably.
[2148.89] Tony: Look he's lost it look is it is it on the side where I should have a shit is it in the bed
[2155.21] Tony: where I have a shit.
[2159.77] AndyRC: I shouldn't have lost oh no I'm sorry I'm sorry.
[2164.81] AndyRC: No he can't hear us he uses headphones he's gone in the toilet look.
[2176.44] Tony: No he can't find it.
[2178.44] AndyRC: Do you know what Tony I've been looking at DC2s you cannot find a DC2 for under 11 grand.
[2185.8] AndyRC: Wow.
[2186.76] AndyRC: I sold mine for two grand I just want to kill myself.
[2192.28] Tony: That was a bad move Andy.
[2194.12] AndyRC: Yeah but at the time that was the going rate man.
[2197.32] Tony: Yeah they've got they go up and down don't they not everything I suppose.
[2200.6] AndyRC: Well no they just go up now but they're so to be fair the ones that are 11 grand are ones that
[2208.04] AndyRC: they've been kept in air conditioner carriages for and driven like once a year.
[2216.76] Jack: Good boy Jay that's it.
[2218.84] Jack: Calm yourself down son.
[2220.12] Jack: These two are jerking off about cars.
[2225.56] Frank: A DC2 for me sounds like it should be like a Dakota that's a DC2.
[2229.8] Frank: Or some sort of clock.
[2231.72] AndyRC: Can I just say before this show I phoned Jack and we talked a good 20 minutes about
[2242.6] AndyRC: how much he loves cars.
[2244.2] AndyRC: Jack he's an ex car mechanic.
[2250.28] AndyRC: He's an ex car mechanic he loves cars he loves drift cars.
[2253.48] AndyRC: He got into the hobby through RC cars.
[2257.8] AndyRC: Have another little puff Jack.
[2262.04] AndyRC: Are you referring to his pipe there or or his or something else?
[2267.32] Jack: The real prank for Jack is Freya Roshai.
[2272.52] Jack: If you're ever wronged Jack get him some Freya Roshai.
[2277.56] Jack: I just inhaled that shit I've already done one box today.
[2283.0] Jack: Oh man I've got issues man.
[2285.0] Jack: I need to get I need to get trim man because at the moment I'm living my life one quarter
[2291.08] Jack: pounder at a time and for that three seconds I feel alive.
[2301.08] AndyRC: MC Creations.
[2304.04] Frank: Sounded very poetic.
[2305.96] Jack: Were those something?
[2310.2] Jack: Everyone knows that everyone knows that Tokyo Drift's the best.
[2315.88] AndyRC: Yeah we were talking about the Fast and the Furious.
[2319.72] Jack: And for Paul.
[2324.52] Tony: Yeah Paul Walker man.
[2329.13] Tony: We need to change this LDI we literally don't talk about drones anymore.
[2334.81] AndyRC: Let's not drone out that's what it should be called.
[2337.69] AndyRC: MC Creations.
[2338.57] Jack: I'm going to share a YouTube video.
[2342.01] AndyRC: No MC Creations says by the way I heard about a guy who flew a Phantom 3 in the US.
[2352.41] AndyRC: It was registered and flew away and landed at an airport.
[2358.49] AndyRC: Imagine how screwed he is.
[2363.21] AndyRC: Really that's crazy.
[2365.21] AndyRC: So what can you do about it?
[2366.41] AndyRC: You're out of control of it.
[2369.05] Jack: I'm going to try and share the YouTube video.
[2372.97] Jack: It's an RC.
[2376.17] Jack: In Japan they raced the little RC drift cars and this is what led me to getting
[2385.05] Jack: recommended back when YouTube's algorithm worked before copper.
[2389.21] Jack: Yeah when that kicks in we're going to have to bake the fluffy bunny show.
[2396.73] Jack: Be like hello and welcome to let's try it out.
[2403.37] Frank: It's just going to be a sock puppet.
[2405.85] Frank: It's constantly.
[2407.53] AndyRC: Yeah we've got the socks already and then just cover your ears.
[2411.05] Tony: I'll put your hand in that Jack.
[2412.89] Jack: Seriously, not a good wolf.
[2421.61] Jack: Tony.
[2423.05] Jack: Hello Tony.
[2426.97] Tony: Right enough of that.
[2428.17] Tony: What's that thing you spoke of being an adult?
[2433.05] Jack: So look at this.
[2434.81] Jack: I mean look at them.
[2436.09] Jack: Like drifting in tandem.
[2439.61] Jack: Like this makes my dick hard.
[2443.85] AndyRC: This is fun.
[2445.69] AndyRC: Well I'll just point to this in the background.
[2449.29] AndyRC: Yeah.
[2450.73] Tony: What size are they?
[2453.61] Jack: Either 18th scale or whatever it is.
[2455.93] Jack: 110 I think.
[2459.05] Jack: Look at it man.
[2459.85] Jack: That's more than 110.
[2461.37] AndyRC: Oh yeah yeah it might be 18.
[2465.37] Tony: Yeah that's one drift so they've got like weird tires or something.
[2469.29] Tony: Yeah they've got a gyrator.
[2472.25] Tony: No.
[2472.81] AndyRC: No gyros.
[2474.09] Jack: So hang on let me let me.
[2476.33] Jack: How do I stop this just camera or no.
[2480.09] AndyRC: How they're just using plastic tires but they're running on carpet.
[2484.09] AndyRC: So they just spin like crazy and they've got great weight distribution.
[2489.21] AndyRC: So they just really easy to drift.
[2492.33] AndyRC: Just like the actual drift cars as I'm finding out with this chap.
[2499.93] AndyRC: Loads of fun.
[2500.81] AndyRC: Absolutely loads of fun with it.
[2503.13] Jack: I mean these guys have parking competitions man.
[2509.37] Jack: Like I've never.
[2511.37] Jack: Like man I just.
[2514.25] Jack: It's wrong.
[2517.13] Jack: Yeah it's this one.
[2518.25] Jack: This is the one that really.
[2521.45] Jack: Man this is what really gets me off.
[2525.21] Jack: Man like.
[2526.89] AndyRC: Turning wrongs properly sliding into a parking slot don't you.
[2530.73] AndyRC: Oh he loves it man.
[2532.25] Jack: And then having his neighbor washes.
[2534.01] Jack: Am I allowed to say that.
[2535.29] Jack: I'll stop talking.
[2538.17] Jack: It's still cool.
[2540.49] Jack: Yeah god damn bad.
[2542.25] Jack: We are going to get sued to hell and back.
[2545.29] Jack: But look man.
[2546.49] Jack: They've made dioramas.
[2548.09] Jack: Look there's like from our Taku Japanese school girls on the benches and that.
[2553.77] Jack: These guys are that guy looks like a surgeon.
[2556.73] AndyRC: And look at him.
[2560.01] AndyRC: I'm not sure you can say that but whatever.
[2566.89] Jack: Surgical suit and a mask.
[2568.81] Jack: Imagine doing this but with a FPV.
[2573.93] Jack: You're joking him.
[2574.89] Tony: No you probably could.
[2576.81] Jack: The Popo chasing him and everything man.
[2580.09] Jack: Oh look.
[2581.93] Jack: Oh it's so good man.
[2583.85] Jack: It's so good.
[2584.65] Jack: And they got like there's like there's one where they got like the mountain track.
[2589.05] Jack: And oh man it's like.
[2591.21] AndyRC: Have you noticed drone junkie have been doing this by the way.
[2594.89] AndyRC: Yeah I saw a couple of their videos.
[2599.45] AndyRC: I said this in my video today.
[2601.29] AndyRC: I really think that there's a big niche here with ground based FPV vehicles.
[2609.77] AndyRC: I thought it'd be boring as hell.
[2612.09] AndyRC: It's the most fun.
[2614.57] AndyRC: It was like finding FPV again but on the ground.
[2617.93] AndyRC: And there's no politics.
[2619.61] AndyRC: There's no you know having to you know have a number plate on my RC car.
[2628.09] Jack: I know.
[2629.13] Jack: Yeah.
[2629.53] Jack: Oh my god.
[2630.25] Jack: Can you imagine?
[2630.97] AndyRC: It's an legal requirement.
[2633.29] AndyRC: Yeah you've got to have a number plate on your effort.
[2636.65] AndyRC: 10 years and I wouldn't be surprised if I have to have a number plate on my RC FPV drift car.
[2643.29] AndyRC: In case I run over a small child or something.
[2646.49] Frank: Yeah more or less.
[2648.89] Frank: So I went to FPV on cars like way before I even got into that model aircraft like line of sight.
[2660.41] AndyRC: You see cars never interested me because I had a I was doing
[2664.97] AndyRC: like you know car racing like full size and the one unattainable thing that I couldn't afford was
[2675.53] AndyRC: proper flying you know.
[2678.81] AndyRC: But I can't afford racing.
[2682.57] AndyRC: I could never afford racing and I wasn't very good at it.
[2686.41] AndyRC: But you know you can buy these RC cars stick a camera in them.
[2692.17] AndyRC: And the amount of control is just amazing.
[2696.97] AndyRC: So yeah.
[2699.61] Tony: It might be me on the outside.
[2702.81] AndyRC: Well how about a head tracker so that when you're sideways you can be looking sideways.
[2709.37] AndyRC: I'm staring at Paul Walker.
[2711.13] Jack: I'll see you again.
[2713.77] AndyRC: Sorry.
[2714.97] AndyRC: Yeah Jack pointed out to me all of the places where they CGI'd Paul Walker
[2721.45] AndyRC: and it ruined the franchise for me.
[2723.37] Jack: Cheers Jack.
[2726.17] Jack: Everyone loves pissing on his campfire.
[2729.93] AndyRC: I haven't seen that Hobbs movie.
[2732.01] Jack: Has anybody seen that Hobbs movie?
[2734.09] Jack: I haven't man.
[2734.97] Jack: It's just like what is it.
[2736.41] Jack: It's just bloody what's his name and the rock.
[2740.81] AndyRC: I don't like Dwayne Johnson and it's not Dwayne Johnson's fault.
[2744.57] AndyRC: It's a bully's fault at school because he really idolized him so I was like
[2749.85] AndyRC: you rock.
[2752.57] Jack: If you met Dwayne Johnson you told him that story man.
[2755.29] Jack: He probably kicked that kid's ass.
[2757.77] AndyRC: Yeah he would because like he's a like when you if you look at his background
[2763.13] AndyRC: and the people that respect him they say he's the hardest working person in the world.
[2768.73] AndyRC: Like you know him and Will Smith you know as as actors.
[2771.85] AndyRC: But I just I just look at him and I just see the person that beat the shit out of me for.
[2777.21] Jack: Yeah Tony would you go gay for Will Smith?
[2781.53] Tony: No I wouldn't go gay for anyone.
[2783.93] Tony: I like I love Will Smith.
[2785.21] Tony: I've followed him since Fresh Prince thought his music and stuff.
[2788.89] Tony: But no I wouldn't go gay for Will Smith.
[2792.33] Jack: Bring back Curry.
[2794.17] Jack: Well unfortunately Curry has 20 holidays a year.
[2799.05] AndyRC: If you if you saw pictures of what Curry Kitten is currently up to
[2804.73] AndyRC: you would not be doing a hashtag hashtag bringing back because he is currently on
[2813.29] AndyRC: he's currently on some sort in some sort of luxury house that has its like own sort of diving board
[2820.73] AndyRC: into the sea.
[2822.49] AndyRC: Everything the only thing that could take him down is a tsunami.
[2826.89] AndyRC: You know you wouldn't want to be in an old days if there was a tsunami would you?
[2830.89] AndyRC: Yeah but if you look at Curry Kitten on Facebook
[2833.85] AndyRC: go and look at his pictures.
[2835.29] AndyRC: I have I do not feel sorry for him at all.
[2839.37] AndyRC: Screw you Curry Kitten.
[2843.37] AndyRC: Hashtag screw Curry Kitten for being where he is.
[2847.29] AndyRC: Hashtag screw you Curry here.
[2849.29] AndyRC: 25 degrees he's got he's got aqua blue sea in front of him.
[2855.05] AndyRC: He's got a trampoline.
[2856.41] Tony: Yeah I think he'll go when they you know honeymoons and stuff.
[2861.37] Tony: So there'll be a lot of honeymoon and there's he's there for how long?
[2864.81] Tony: There's not a lot to do after you've you know done a you know you're stuck on your little island.
[2871.69] Tony: Cut the sea plane rides a bit of diving and that's about it.
[2875.05] Tony: They'll be killing each other.
[2876.41] Tony: His family will be doing each other for the next few days.
[2881.29] AndyRC: I like the way you're going with this Tony.
[2883.45] AndyRC: I know Wayne will watch this back or might be even watching it now.
[2887.53] AndyRC: So hashtag screw you Curry Kitten for having the perfect life you goddamn arseholes.
[2896.25] Tony: And on that note can we end?
[2902.25] AndyRC: Mr Fruity Kate says hashtag not jealous Andy.
[2908.57] AndyRC: I am jealous but I don't I'm I'm I'm have no problem saying I'm jealous.
[2914.09] AndyRC: I also have no problem saying you.
[2917.61] AndyRC: Curry Kitten for having the perfect life.
[2921.05] AndyRC: You basket.
[2925.61] Jack: Awesome.
[2928.01] AndyRC: Sorry sorry to the editor for swearing.
[2930.81] Jack: Yeah what's um yeah what's your what's your uh what's your next project?
[2939.13] Jack: How's the folding wing going?
[2940.73] Frank: Uh I haven't touched that since I got it to a point where I thought it was done and then
[2948.09] Frank: it wasn't and I need to redo it because I was stupid and I didn't listen to David Vindestall.
[2955.37] Frank: That was my problem that's the yeah you need you need to listen to that guy knows what he's doing.
[2964.73] Tony: Yeah there we go.
[2967.37] Tony: So there we go.
[2969.77] Tony: Chrissie says he's FPV's Tamiya that he bought in the eight years.
[2973.85] Tony: What one did you buy Chrissie?
[2978.01] Frank: Yeah I've got the 450x wing that Fraser gave me so that's in the box behind the Christmas cards.
[2986.09] AndyRC: Um I've got so many friends with all my Christmas cards.
[2991.85] AndyRC: I know I've only got one.
[2993.69] AndyRC: I've got one and it was from my arms.
[2995.77] AndyRC: I've got that many but they're all in my own hand fighting.
[2999.53] AndyRC: That's a bum joke isn't it?
[3003.53] Tony: Harry's building a cendron's is that a geezer cinewoop?
[3008.17] Tony: It's huge he says.
[3009.85] Tony: Is it bigger than the squirt v2?
[3013.05] Tony: It's the one I've got.
[3017.22] Tony: I love my cinny cinny stuff now.
[3019.46] Tony: I'm looking forward to doing some more stuff.
[3022.1] Frank: I've still got the um the boards that we've freed out of the uh um the cctv uh whatever it's called encoder.
[3035.54] Frank: Um to do something with Jack.
[3039.94] Frank: Just in time for 5.8 to go out of fashion.
[3046.18] Frank: Because he's not even listening.
[3047.62] Frank: It's not going out of fashion.
[3049.14] Frank: He's probably it's Jack.
[3050.9] Frank: He's probably got a phone call going on.
[3052.74] Frank: He's like muted himself and he's on the phone having a natto with someone.
[3058.63] Frank: It's got to be Lily.
[3061.83] Frank: Who me?
[3063.51] Frank: Yeah.
[3063.91] Frank: Yeah.
[3065.03] Frank: What's wrong?
[3065.83] Frank: Exactly.
[3066.71] Frank: Exactly.
[3068.55] Frank: I was talking to you having a conversation and you just weren't listening.
[3073.11] Frank: No I have to look.
[3075.75] Frank: It's a very little daydream like last night.
[3079.67] Frank: Look at me with the whole stream trying to set stuff up and you're just disappearing and lead me to it.
[3086.47] Jack: I'm sorry.
[3087.75] Jack: I'm sorry I've been rather distracted but I've just spent £14 on a on a on a hilarious joke.
[3099.99] Jack: Would you like to share it with us?
[3101.75] Jack: Hang on just let that process payment go through.
[3106.39] Jack: Yes, I have I have bought initial FPV.com ready for the number of lights.
[3118.31] Jack: Yeah, it's quite funny.
[3124.15] Jack: So if any of you have heard like a initial day is a is an old anime where the kid drives.
[3135.67] Jack: And it show day drives a oh my god they made it a live action didn't I oh my god it's the worst.
[3149.27] Jack: Yeah, initial day is a drift anime where they made this kid he is a tofu delivery driver
[3159.83] Jack: and he drives an AE86 around and I bought I bought the they called Hachi Rokus or something.
[3168.71] Jack: Or is that Nissan?
[3171.67] Jack: Yeah, Hachi.
[3172.95] Jack: Yeah, AE6.
[3176.79] Jack: Nissan's a strawberries or something.
[3178.79] Jack: I can't remember.
[3179.67] Jack: My Japanese is terrible.
[3182.39] Jack: But yeah, I bought initial FPV for a laugh instead of initial day.
[3189.27] Tony: dronefilming.co.uk
[3193.27] Tony: Nissan means the store apparently.
[3197.19] Jack: What's it called again?
[3202.49] Jack: Every day.
[3203.29] Jack: Oh, look at you.
[3204.81] Jack: Oh man, the owner, by the way, is it still does it still say that?
[3210.73] Jack: Tony, the owner, look at him with his trophy.
[3213.77] Jack: I mean, pimping poor little mags out for.
[3218.81] Frank: Yeah, what what your analytics like, Tony?
[3221.13] Frank: How many?
[3224.01] Tony: It's not.
[3224.65] Tony: It's live, but it's not really live.
[3226.97] Tony: I can only do in your stuff at the moment until like we all know July.
[3232.97] AndyRC: Until all of the messages that Tony is leaving on my WhatsApp come to fruition.
[3238.17] AndyRC: I know, I'm totally sorry.
[3243.69] Jack: I thought Nissan meant brother.
[3246.89] Jack: Something new every day.
[3248.09] Jack: It's a sun on Wikipedia.
[3250.89] Jack: But you know, that's Wikipedia.
[3254.33] Jack: Do you know what doesn't help Frank with the distraction is I've got Jennifer Lawrence's
[3259.13] Jack: Twitter open.
[3260.33] Jack: I've shut it now.
[3261.53] Jack: I'm all yours.
[3262.81] Jack: What were you saying?
[3263.93] Jack: I'm very sorry.
[3265.93] Tony: I'm another puffball.
[3268.33] AndyRC: Hmm.
[3270.33] AndyRC: By the way, Tony, did you receive my wee transfer about Jennifer Lawrence?
[3274.89] AndyRC: No, I didn't receive anything.
[3278.25] AndyRC: You didn't receive it.
[3279.37] Tony: I'll send it again.
[3280.89] Frank: We're still live.
[3283.85] Frank: Yeah, yeah.
[3284.73] Frank: Any news expressed by the guests of the show were personal.
[3288.41] Frank: It made it reflect the views of the host.
[3290.09] Frank: I had nothing to do with that.
[3292.73] Frank: I just wanted.
[3294.41] AndyRC: It was just some material.
[3297.45] AndyRC: There's just some movies that she's been in that she that I really like that.
[3301.29] AndyRC: She's like, what are I like?
[3304.01] AndyRC: I've got some pictures as well.
[3307.69] Frank: The family friendly version of the show can be very short.
[3311.85] Tony: It is her cut right now.
[3314.89] Tony: Cut it.
[3315.69] Tony: We will try to get a guest next week, I think.
[3319.45] Tony: What's next week?
[3320.33] Tony: What date is next week?
[3322.01] Tony: Christmas, isn't it or something?
[3323.53] Tony: It's a Christmas show, isn't it?
[3325.77] AndyRC: Where Jesus was born or something.
[3331.72] Frank: Well, you've been talking about cars.
[3334.68] Frank: So I'm going to talk about VR.
[3340.2] AndyRC: Hang on.
[3340.52] AndyRC: Wait a second.
[3341.4] AndyRC: Before you do, carry on.
[3346.44] Jack: He's just saying what this little case.
[3355.32] AndyRC: Can I just say this is your and MJ's fault.
[3359.16] AndyRC: And do as he disappears.
[3363.08] Frank: It looks like that case.
[3366.68] AndyRC: What's inside the case?
[3369.08] AndyRC: Well, look what I got there.
[3370.68] AndyRC: I got I got diopters in my ones.
[3375.72] AndyRC: Fancy.
[3380.84] AndyRC: Apparently, we're going to get this time.
[3385.08] AndyRC: We're going to get hand controls this week.
[3388.04] Tony: God, you'd really be able to go check it out, then wouldn't you?
[3394.36] Tony: Hands free.
[3395.48] Tony: Thanks, Don.
[3400.6] Frank: The weird thing with that is that they're releasing it out
[3404.68] Frank: on the headsets over this next week or so to us, but they're only releasing the development kit
[3412.36] Frank: to the developers next week.
[3415.16] Frank: So it's not going to get into games for a while, but it's going to be like the menus.
[3421.48] AndyRC: It's still pretty cool, though, right?
[3425.96] Frank: Oh, yeah.
[3426.92] Frank: But it's going to be, you know, pretty early beta.
[3431.96] AndyRC: Do you know how much do you know how much the fiber optic cable
[3436.92] AndyRC: for the Oculus link is going to cost when it releases?
[3441.0] Frank: Five meter USB-C to USB-C month.
[3444.12] Frank: It's something like 80 quid or something, isn't it?
[3446.52] Frank: Correct.
[3448.68] AndyRC: Oh, that's ridiculous.
[3451.72] AndyRC: But you can buy a seven quid USB 3 cable that apparently does the same thing.
[3457.08] AndyRC: So I'm doing that.
[3458.68] AndyRC: But yeah, what's this record thing, Andy?
[3463.32] AndyRC: Is this where you sit down and just have a set with people?
[3469.0] Frank: No, so Rec Room is like, I'm trying to think kind of what it is, really.
[3477.0] Frank: It's not quite a game.
[3479.16] Tony: It's a cross platform with plates, like games, hang out.
[3487.0] AndyRC: It's kind of a duck rudder in it.
[3490.6] Frank: Unfortunately, it's running off.
[3493.56] Frank: But it's so you can like create your own games or there's some standard games.
[3499.48] Frank: It's kind of a sandbox for building kind of VR games in it.
[3505.96] Frank: But so there's like a paintball one and there's a laser type one.
[3509.72] Frank: And there's all these kind of different games and versions that people made themselves.
[3515.96] Frank: But yeah, and it's yeah, a cross platform.
[3517.96] Frank: So we've had to go a couple of times last week.
[3521.0] Frank: When you say, me and Kerry and Tony, who neither have got VR.
[3533.24] AndyRC: Tony, oh, you did it through PlayStation, did you?
[3536.36] Tony: Yeah, but it doesn't really do much VR on that, to be fair.
[3542.28] Frank: It's on PS VR, it's on PC, and it's just on everything.
[3547.48] Frank: But yeah, it's quite fun.
[3551.48] Jack: Yeah, but all that happens is you get called gay by little 12 year olds.
[3557.64] Frank: Well, the solution is go into your audio settings and turn the audio to only friends.
[3565.88] AndyRC: I haven't tried it yet, but I want to.
[3570.2] AndyRC: First of all, I modify mine to have the headphones because that is a completely stupid thing that
[3575.48] AndyRC: they took away. So once I've done that, then I'll stop playing with.
[3581.64] Frank: I've never had headphones on it, so it seems perfectly fine to me.
[3586.2] Frank: I think for me, I'm not losing anything, so it seems really good to me.
[3592.84] Frank: The only issue I've had is that it's pretty front heavy and I've got like big red marks on my nose.
[3600.6] Frank: I don't understand why it's so much heavier than like fat sharks.
[3606.76] AndyRC: Well, it's like FPV goggles, isn't it? See, I don't suffer that issue.
[3611.72] AndyRC: I don't suffer that issue at all. I really think, though, it's the same with everything,
[3617.96] AndyRC: isn't it? So basically Facebook bought out Oculus and then they buggered it all up, which is how.
[3625.24] Tony: That's what I do when you went Google.
[3628.76] AndyRC: Yeah, the CV1 is amazing, but I can't deny that the Quest, the quality of the image is much better.
[3639.48] AndyRC: But the fact that they've done away with the headphones is just horrendous to me.
[3645.56] AndyRC: But luckily, I've got a spare set of headphones, I've got a 3D printer,
[3652.2] AndyRC: and I'm doing a mod to bring it back to what they should be.
[3658.68] Frank: Are you doing your ABS? Have you got that?
[3661.72] AndyRC: Do my what?
[3664.12] Frank: You've got ABS working on your 3D printer yet.
[3667.72] AndyRC: Oh, I'm actually doing it in PLA Plus because it's a little stronger.
[3676.2] AndyRC: ABS is not the best material, but apparently PLA Plus has got a little bit of flex in it.
[3685.16] AndyRC: It's got a little bit of TPU elements in it, so it's a little bit flexible.
[3689.0] AndyRC: I'm still crap at 3D printing, though, so I'm thinking of still outsourcing it to somebody.
[3697.56] AndyRC: Who do I know that his job is 3D printing? I'll have to get back to you on that.
[3703.72] Tony: I know a good 3D printer guy who prints good stuff.
[3710.04] Tony: Upton or G.
[3712.44] AndyRC: I was thinking someone, his name really does start with F and ends in rank.
[3719.32] AndyRC: But anyways, we'll leave it there.
[3723.86] Frank: Don't use TPU, so it reminds me of that.
[3727.7] AndyRC: It's not that TPU would be too bendy.
[3731.62] AndyRC: Anyways, we've gone way off topic. Should we end it there?
[3735.46] Frank: Can I do it?
[3736.9] Tony: So is it going to be our Christmas one next?
[3740.18] Tony: Are we all going to make an effort and wear a Christmas hat?
[3743.7] Jack: Oh, show your T-shirt you bought.
[3746.26] Jack: Downstairs.
[3747.78] Jack: Run and get it, come on.
[3750.1] AndyRC: I'll wear it next week.
[3751.78] AndyRC: Oh, on your head, Gil.
[3752.98] AndyRC: So next shows on the 19th and then a week after that would be Boxing Day.
[3758.98] AndyRC: So if we're doing a show Boxing Day, why not?
[3762.9] AndyRC: Really?
[3763.54] AndyRC: Why not?
[3764.82] AndyRC: Yeah.
[3765.62] AndyRC: So yeah, next week would be the last show before Christmas.
[3772.74] Jack: Yeah.
[3776.26] Jack: No guests want to be on this show due to legal liability.
[3779.94] Tony: What about getting some people on from the chat, like randomly, if they wanted to come on?
[3787.62] AndyRC: That's a great idea.
[3788.74] Tony: Well, you have to wear a Christmas hat to come on, though.
[3792.18] Jack: Oh, yeah, we'll do that for the bonus.
[3794.82] Tony: No, we'll do it for next week.
[3799.06] Jack: No, I said no.
[3803.3] Tony: Me and you.
[3804.02] Jack: So we're going to have a fight.
[3805.46] Jack: And you smash Frank.
[3806.58] Jack: Frank says no.
[3807.38] Jack: That's right.
[3807.86] Tony: No, no, no, no.
[3810.18] Tony: I said who thinks it's a good idea in the chat?
[3813.54] Tony: No, everyone here, come on.
[3815.46] Jack: The last time we let someone on, we were chatting to Gary in his toilet.
[3820.42] AndyRC: And are we out of truth?
[3822.66] AndyRC: Yeah.
[3827.3] AndyRC: MC creation says, what's Boxing Day?
[3829.78] AndyRC: Can anyone explain?
[3835.78] Jack: When Jesus was born, then they put him in a box.
[3838.5] Jack: Why do they call it Boxing Day?
[3840.9] AndyRC: Okay.
[3844.76] Frank: Are we googling here?
[3850.2] AndyRC: No, I think it has something to do with boxing.
[3854.2] Frank: Because you wound up with all your family and they're all punching each other.
[3858.76] AndyRC: Right.
[3859.16] AndyRC: It says it originated in the United Kingdom.
[3862.12] AndyRC: Hooray, our Great Britain.
[3864.28] AndyRC: And it is celebrated in a number of countries that previously formed
[3868.2] AndyRC: part of the British Empire.
[3869.96] AndyRC: Boxing Day is on the 26th of December, obviously,
[3873.48] AndyRC: although the attached bank holiday or public holiday may place either.
[3878.6] AndyRC: Don't do that.
[3880.2] AndyRC: What is it?
[3882.04] AndyRC: Oh, my God.
[3883.4] AndyRC: There are some competing theories of its origin.
[3886.6] AndyRC: Jesus Christ.
[3887.4] AndyRC: We don't even know why we have it.
[3890.6] AndyRC: None of which are derivative.
[3892.28] AndyRC: Oh, don't say derivative.
[3894.6] AndyRC: Let's see what it says here.
[3896.92] AndyRC: It's the first weekday after Christmas Day observed as a holiday
[3903.32] AndyRC: on which postman and errand boys
[3908.36] AndyRC: and servants of various kinds expect to receive a Christmas
[3913.56] AndyRC: box.
[3913.64] AndyRC: Yeah, that's it.
[3914.6] AndyRC: I remember now at school.
[3916.04] AndyRC: Yeah.
[3916.36] AndyRC: The term Christmas box.
[3917.8] AndyRC: That means something completely different in 2019.
[3920.76] AndyRC: Dates back to the 17th century, among other things.
[3925.8] AndyRC: A present of gratuity.
[3928.6] AndyRC: Well, I'll tell you, I'll tell you this much.
[3933.08] AndyRC: My postman is not getting a Christmas box because he does not even knock on the door.
[3940.68] AndyRC: He writes one of those red little cards out before he's even knocked on the goddamn door
[3945.48] AndyRC: because it's too cold for him to carry the bloody box.
[3949.16] Jack: So you know what Tony does?
[3951.08] Jack: Tony, as soon as he moved into his new place, right?
[3954.36] Jack: He got his postman.
[3955.48] Jack: He goes, here's 50 quid.
[3958.92] Jack: Fill in sign my name and put my delivery.
[3963.4] Jack: Here's the code for my box.
[3965.16] Jack: He goes, I never if you give me one of those red cards, I'll set your house on fire.
[3970.84] Tony: Why is 50 quid Tony's answer to everything?
[3974.68] Jack: It works.
[3975.24] Tony: He signs it and puts it in the box.
[3977.96] Tony: The queen looks good in pink.
[3979.88] Tony: He tried it on the tax man.
[3980.92] Tony: He looks good in pink.
[3984.2] Tony: I tried it what?
[3985.8] Frank: I just said, have you tried it on the tax man?
[3988.04] Tony: Oh, I hate the tax man.
[3990.44] Tony: He's an arse.
[3991.88] Tony: I've got to pay it in January again.
[3994.04] Tony: Again, all money.
[3997.24] Tony: Well, you should have.
[3997.88] Tony: It looks like you have it.
[3999.16] Tony: Tony, I don't want to do it.
[4002.68] AndyRC: The truth is, the truth is, Boxing Day these days is hangover day.
[4008.52] AndyRC: A bit like New Year's Day.
[4009.96] AndyRC: You've got that drunk on Christmas that you need another day to recover from the hangover.
[4014.92] AndyRC: When I worked in a bank, hilariously, I had to go into work,
[4019.88] AndyRC: even though it's called a bank holiday.
[4021.64] AndyRC: But we won't go into that.
[4023.56] Frank: So are you suggesting that you're meant to not drink on Boxing Day?
[4029.96] Frank: Yeah.
[4030.28] AndyRC: Just carry it on.
[4033.08] AndyRC: Well, you probably wouldn't feel like drinking on Boxing Day.
[4035.96] AndyRC: That would be my experience of it.
[4040.2] AndyRC: After all of the Christmas alcohol gifts that you're usually given.
[4044.2] Tony: It's just like any other normal day for me.
[4046.44] AndyRC: Well, you go cleaning windows on Boxing Day.
[4053.64] AndyRC: I'm drinking an inch.
[4056.36] Tony: I appreciate that.
[4060.12] Tony: I'm here tonight.
[4062.28] Tony: I was just like not in the mood for it.
[4063.8] Tony: I'm going out for a Christmas night on a Saturday.
[4072.84] Jack: This will make you forgive me for not paying attention.
[4076.92] AndyRC: What is in that box?
[4079.96] Jack: Even though it's not what you wanted.
[4084.28] Jack: That's not what I said.
[4085.8] AndyRC: The thing is though, right, even though it's not what I wanted,
[4088.44] AndyRC: what is in that box is unobtainium is how I describe it.
[4094.68] Jack: This is rocking horse in a box.
[4097.56] Jack: Correct.
[4099.96] Jack: Cables and all.
[4101.56] Tony: Right.
[4101.88] Tony: Don't get me.
[4102.84] Tony: I actually don't get me anything.
[4105.4] Jack: No, I know.
[4106.44] Jack: Because you're poor and you can't.
[4109.08] Tony: I can't afford it.
[4109.88] Jack: I just don't want to.
[4119.48] AndyRC: Dave is asking, can we have drunk Andy Arce on every week?
[4123.32] AndyRC: Do I seem drunk?
[4127.24] AndyRC: This is just me, unfortunately, I'm afraid.
[4130.52] Jack: The best is Andy Arce mixing alcohol.
[4137.4] Jack: And he starts crying about wanking.
[4139.72] Jack: But if you want to watch that bonus podcast.
[4147.32] Jack: Thank you very much.
[4148.28] Jack: I think it's time to end the show.
[4152.44] Jack: On that note, I love you all.
[4156.2] Jack: You've been listening to let your own out.
[4158.68] Jack: Anything we say is maybe giving an evidence against us.
[4163.8] Jack: Yes, and he's all tagged to real track.
[4168.28] Jack: Yeah, to ludicrous and absurd.
[4173.96] AndyRC: I'll be true.
[4174.92] AndyRC: Surely.
[4175.48] Jack: Yeah, you've been joined by Andrew.
[4179.24] Jack: Bye for backbone last night.
[4183.24] Jack: Come on, do your little voice.
[4186.52] Frank: No, you have to tune in to twitch for that.
[4188.76] Jack: Yeah.
[4190.6] Jack: Andy Arce.
[4192.6] Jack: Tada.
[4193.64] Jack: The real person who gave you the list of all the offers from Banggood.
[4201.08] Jack: My little Tony.
[4203.4] Tony: Thanks, everyone, for tuning in.
[4205.0] Tony: Thanks for our patrons.
[4206.92] Tony: We love you all.
[4207.8] Tony: Thank you very much.
[4209.16] Jack: Yeah.
[4209.4] Jack: The fact that we're able to do this show and I've been bright to the fly.
[4212.36] Jack: Thank you very much, guys.
[4213.24] Jack: I love you dearly.
[4214.28] Jack: Good night.
