=====================================

[0.0] Jack: Hello and welcome to Let's Drone Out. The best, well the only UK FPV podcast
[6.88] Jack: sponsored by the lovely people from our Patreon. Patreon.com forward slash Let's Drone Out.
[12.88] Jack: In particular we'd like to thank these guys. Art Faulkner. Mikey Dredd. Wacky Wes. David Powell.
[24.24] Jack: Thank you guys you're the best we can edit our podcast. Thank you.
[30.4] Jack: Hello. It's Thursday night. It's nine something o'clock. We're live on YouTube and it's the best
[70.29] Jack: on YouTube right about now. And there's two others that are in the UK that we know about.
[80.05] Jack: We know we're probably not the best anymore. So a statement you just listen to if you're
[85.25] Jack: listening back on iTunes is not true. We are joined by Andrew slash Frank. Good evening.
[93.01] Frank: Do you have the disclaimer? I do. Do you want me to read it out? Please.
[99.25] Frank: Any views expressed by any guests on this show are personal and may not reflect the views of
[103.81] Jack: the hosts or any participant of the show. My little friend Tony. Bonjour.
[111.25] Jack: And I'm bright until I fly. How is everyone this fine Thursday?
[117.97] Jack: Good thank you. Good. Merry Christmas. Oh we've got a first guest. Hello guest. Would you like
[127.65] Jack: to tell the audience who you are? Because some people listen to this audio only.
[132.05] Jack: For torture purposes or birth control. I'm already jealous of his beard.
[137.73] Jack: But first you have to unmute yourself. Yeah there's a little mute button. Hello. Hello.
[147.65] Jack: Good evening. Tell us who you are and why you're here.
[153.57] Wyntrblue: I'm James and I'm here mate.
[159.73] Wyntrblue: What's your pilot name James? Winter blue FPV.
[164.13] Jack: Winter blue FPV. How long have you been listening to this s*** before?
[173.39] Wyntrblue: Very seasonal. More years than I can think of.
[177.15] Wyntrblue: Four years. More years or four years. For more years than I probably should have.
[184.03] Jack: I know. Sorry. We do apologise. We're working on some new talent. Andy RC is away.
[193.15] Jack: He's what's he doing? Is he joined the new BMFA club?
[197.55] Tony: Yes he's joined a club and he has to go to an AGM tonight.
[203.63] Jack: What an annual group meeting. Is that right Frank?
[209.55] Jack: General meeting.
[212.99] Tony: Annual general meeting. That does. It does indeed. Yeah. Oh man.
[220.19] Tony: So guest what do you fly? How have you been flying?
[226.43] Wyntrblue: I've been flying for about two or three years. I have a number of different things that I fly.
[232.75] Wyntrblue: I've got some fixed wing. I've got some quads. I've recently migrated everything over to DJIHD.
[242.03] Wyntrblue: No you're a traitor.
[243.47] Wyntrblue: Well if you and Frank have to pay for it why not?
[250.19] Wyntrblue: Well fair play.
[252.59] Jack: He's on his first strike.
[255.47] Jack: One more and you're out. You can't say DJI again.
[259.95] Jack: Frank, Frank, hold me the kick button.
[265.39] Tony: Carry on mate we're jesting.
[266.99] Wyntrblue: Uh yeah so I've been flying for a little while. I'm not very good at it.
[275.47] Jack: Digital flying. I mean does it really count as flying?
[278.99] Jack: You know. Even Tony can count to one. That's a digital joke.
[289.87] Jack: Oh my god. Well yeah what fixed wing do you fly? That's interesting.
[294.27] Wyntrblue: Okay I've got an AXN floater. The advice of Mr Luke Haines 360.
[299.87] Jack: Jack's got them. What's the floater? What was it called? What are you?
[306.99] Jack: AXN floater.
[308.75] Jack: XN floater. Why does it sound like a water boat?
[313.79] Tony: That's where he is.
[315.07] Jack: No. Oh man. Oh yeah.
[317.47] Jack: Oh you know it's the little trainer plane.
[319.23] Tony: The X10 splatter is it?
[321.47] Wyntrblue: It's what Haines 360 recommended I tried to start with after I destroyed my big slat
[327.31] Wyntrblue: on its second outing and.
[329.79] Wyntrblue: How did you crush a big slat?
[331.31] Wyntrblue: How do you destroy a big slat?
[334.11] Tony: Flying with a hammer.
[335.15] Tony: Mitch, how did you? Yeah. What happened?
[338.11] Wyntrblue: I don't exactly have the greatest track record with fixed wing to say the least.
[343.55] Frank: Did you do the classic mistake of going towards a tree and so punching a throttle to get above it?
[353.07] Wyntrblue: I lost orientation. I was not three mistakes high as Lee told me again and again and I flew
[364.59] Wyntrblue: it full speed straight into the ground and the ground was concrete. It kind of exploded.
[371.71] Wyntrblue: So that was the end of my Bixler. I destroyed an S800 sky shadow in more or less the same way.
[378.83] Wyntrblue: What else have I destroyed in the way of fixed wing?
[383.79] Wyntrblue: My first fixed wing was a fire, a foamy split fire and actually I was doing really well with
[391.47] Wyntrblue: that. I was never flown anything before. I'd thrown it up, it was in the air, it was great.
[395.95] Wyntrblue: I started banking around to the right and a pigeon flew into it and it ended up in a thorn bush.
[400.83] Wyntrblue: Dirty pigeon. I just couldn't believe my luck.
[403.95] Jack: Did it hurt the pigeon? Because that happened. I hope so.
[407.95] Tony: I hope so. Oi, kick him now. Get rid of him immediately.
[414.19] Jack: Well, unfortunately, you have violated two terms. No, you've been a pleasure chatting to you.
[423.55] Jack: But unfortunately, Frank has to, by law, get rid of you because you upset Tony and you said a square
[431.23] Jack: word. Happy flying. Thanks for coming on.
[444.51] Jack: It's just land mines on this show. You've got to be careful what you say.
[448.27] Jack: No, not really. If you're a host, you save whatever you want and we get sued many times.
[455.87] Jack: If you're a guest. Yeah, look at Frank, man. Look at the effort. Look, he even put the larger...
[468.27] Tony: How and what and how?
[470.59] Tony: Does he love me? Is that your Christmas present?
[478.35] Tony: Look, it's the 19th. It's not the 25th. Why are you opening it?
[484.27] Tony: Because he opened his earlier. For God's sake, what's the rules changing around Christmas?
[491.07] Jack: I could be asked to bring it up with me because we've got to go to the... Frank,
[495.23] Jack: would you like to announce the second? Frank, that is really cool that you've
[499.15] Tony: done that. I'm disappointed that you both opened your Christmas presents, though.
[503.71] Tony: Well, Jack told me that you wanted me to open it in front of him, so I did.
[508.11] Frank: Yeah, because I really like him.
[510.59] Tony: Watch what he says when he asks you to open it in front of him. Do not do anything.
[519.87] Jack: We kicked them off saying DGR. Do you want to mention the second?
[525.15] Frank: Yes. So not only can you get involved in tonight's show, but you can also come and see
[533.39] Frank: the show live, like in person, like in a place altogether. That's going to be weird.
[540.27] Frank: We have a secret venue booked for the 2nd of January. We have it from...
[547.95] Frank: Well, it's open to you from 4.30pm onwards until the show and then for as long until we all get
[557.39] Frank: bored and they tell us to go away and go home. It is near Bletchley Park. So Google that and
[566.43] Frank: enjoy Googling that. I will type it in the chat, but it's Bletchley Park near there.
[574.75] Frank: And if you are interested in coming along and joining the live audience, we're also going to
[579.39] Frank: be doing some other things as well. But if you are interested in coming along, just let us know
[584.51] Frank: either through letstrownout.gmail.com or through the Patreon at patreon.com or through Facebook
[596.91] Frank: page at facebook.com slash letstrownout. Or if you know us, then just ask and we'll get you
[605.55] Frank: on the list. So before the show, we're going to be trying out some ideas we've got for some
[616.51] Frank: team sports using tiny whoops. So bring all your whoops. Bring any woofers or
[623.39] Frank: fwings or anything else that you've got along as well that you want to use indoors.
[630.51] Frank: So yes, there will be flying of micros because it's after dark anyway.
[637.55] Frank: So yeah, got a fairly reasonably big indoor space to try out some playtesting some of these ideas
[647.47] Frank: for some team sports. So yeah, I'm sure there'll be other things going on as well. It is essentially
[654.99] Frank: an electronic lab. So, you know, if you want to bring some projects along that you're working on,
[661.23] Frank: we can have a little show and tell as well. Or something that you've done recently,
[667.07] Frank: anything you want to come and show on the show, or even before the show, then bring it along as
[673.95] Frank: well. So yeah, get in touch somehow, through one of the many ways and we'll get you on the list.
[681.55] Frank: Patreons have known about this for a while. So if this is the sort of thing that you're interested
[685.55] Frank: in knowing about, then sign up to our Patreon and you'll get early access to all these kinds
[690.99] Tony: of announcements. Excellent. Who have we got on here? Look, I can see two people that I recognise.
[699.92] Tony: Right. On the chat. One's Christmassy and one's not.
[705.52] Jack: Fraser, I warned you about coming on LDO. That I do. Without holding it in front of you.
[716.24] Jack: That's it. You're now Christmassy. Fraser, get your cat, because I told you the next time you
[722.8] Jack: come on, you have to have your cat with you. So you're already on one strike and you're muted.
[729.52] Frank: Yeah. So everyone, when they're joined, they're muted.
[734.88] Tony: I must say, Wynn is very Christmassy. You can stay here, Wynn.
[743.71] Tony: Everyone, this is Wynn and Fraser. Wynn and Fraser, from the chat.
[748.67] Tony: Where's Bailey's? How do I unmute myself? No, you're fine.
[755.89] Tony: You're right, Wynn. Fraser's still muted.
[759.17] Tony: Ah. So we're introducing you first and you can say anything you want for 10 minutes,
[765.57] Tony: unless you get two strikes. And then you're out. Is there anything I want for 10 minutes?
[771.17] Jack: That's impossible. I wonder if he looks like he's trying to invade checkers about you.
[777.49] Wynn: Yeah. Well, I've built my two authority fingers here. That doesn't help.
[784.29] Wynn: Cooking. Yep. I'm a bloke. I'm no good at cooking.
[788.61] Wynn: I could tell people where to go normally. Not anymore.
[794.05] Jack: You're in some sort of kid's room because that wallpaper makes you look like a children's TV
[799.01] Jack: presenter. You're on the BBC. I'm not a kid. No, yeah. It's in my son's room. I thought I'd escape
[809.81] Wynn: out the living room because of my wife watching TV and I don't think she'd appreciate me talking.
[815.01] Wynn: She won't like that, will she? No, no. She told me to shut up at the best of times.
[819.73] Tony: Yeah. We've still got Fraser looking for the mute button. This is quite funny.
[824.61] Tony: Place your bets. He's found it. He found his mute. Did anyone know anyone who knows anything
[830.21] Tony: about technology? It'd be really helpful. Just Fraser from the chat, everyone.
[837.01] Tony: Looking positively non-Christmas-y. Hold on. Hold your calendar up. That's it.
[843.09] Fraser Steen: It's not even my advent calendar. I'm babysitting.
[847.89] Fraser Steen: Fair play.
[851.81] Tony: How are you guys? What's Jack holding up? Get what? Bailies.
[857.09] Fraser Steen: Bailies. Bailies is at my house. I'm at my brother's house and his small child is upstairs who
[863.89] Tony: seemingly is more important. So you're babysitting, are you?
[868.53] Tony: Pleasure. How are you? Haven't seen you for a little while. Last time I saw you was...
[873.89] Tony: Cortopia.
[874.93] Tony: Yeah, Cortopia, yeah, man.
[876.37] Fraser Steen: Yeah. Well, it's been cold and there hasn't been much fun.
[880.77] Tony: Oh, God. It just rained. If it's not cold, it rains. And it's been raining for a hell of a
[886.37] Tony: lot of time down here. I've been loving your frickin' time.
[890.37] Fraser Steen: But you flew your goblin.
[892.37] Fraser Steen: What?
[893.81] Fraser Steen: You flew your goblin.
[895.25] Fraser Steen: Yeah, I did. I flew my goblin. I only flew half a battery because I was a bit worried that I might
[899.09] Fraser Steen: break. So I got a strict goblin.
[901.65] Tony: Wait, what does it say on your top?
[906.13] Tony: Rebel with R.
[907.17] Tony: How am I supposed to read it? There we go. Rebel without a clause.
[910.77] Tony: Mine says it's all good in the pud. Yeah.
[915.17] Fraser Steen: Oh, I love the puns.
[917.09] Tony: Oh, who's that?
[918.69] Tony: What?
[919.97] Tony: Are you 360?
[922.53] Tony: He's looking Christmassy.
[924.37] Frank: Hi, Lee.
[926.77] Frank: Lee, you're muted.
[927.57] Frank: You have to move yourself.
[929.57] Frank: I'll mute yourself.
[931.57] Lee: There we go.
[932.93] Lee: Hi, Cleen.
[935.09] Lee: With hat and everything, I got the message from Jack, so I thought I'd jump on for a bit and say,
[939.65] Lee: yeah, we thought Merry Christmas.
[942.37] Jack: Yeah, Andy R.C. isn't here, so you could probably do some serious talking.
[949.01] Lee: Have I got to represent the North? Is that why I'm here? I'm your token Northerner now.
[953.41] Jack: Yeah, it's cold up there, isn't it?
[955.49] Jack: Man, it was part of the peace agreement.
[959.57] Jack: You know, Haden's Wall and all that.
[961.81] Jack: Right.
[963.65] Lee: Very nice.
[964.21] Lee: So what have I missed?
[966.37] Jack: We had a guest on, Steve, I think.
[970.21] Jack: Or is it not?
[974.53] Jack: I don't know.
[975.65] Jack: I forget now.
[976.69] Jack: No.
[977.97] Jack: Rob.
[979.09] Jack: No.
[979.49] Jack: Dave.
[980.45] Jack: Ted.
[981.27] Jack: Keep going.
[982.87] Jack: Oh, I've totally forgotten.
[986.87] Jack: Anyway, Hobbyking AXN floater, the perfect trainer.
[992.71] Jack: He didn't listen to what you said, like most of us, and smashed it.
[997.83] Lee: Well, yeah, just because the plane's a perfect trainer doesn't mean you don't
[1001.03] Lee: require any kind of skill or practice.
[1005.51] Jack: It was James Cheryl.
[1007.27] Jack: No, James, that's it.
[1009.35] Jack: I'm so sorry, James.
[1011.27] Lee: Oh, okay.
[1011.99] Lee: Yes.
[1012.23] Lee: I know, James.
[1012.87] Lee: Yes.
[1013.35] Jack: Let's play dementia.
[1017.75] Lee: Yeah, James.
[1018.47] Lee: I think James has gone through.
[1019.91] Jack: He smashed a big stuff.
[1021.35] Lee: Yeah, he smashed up quite a few in his practice.
[1024.47] Lee: But you know what?
[1025.11] Lee: Eventually, we all crack it.
[1027.83] Lee: Yeah.
[1028.31] Lee: It's just whether or not we'd run out of money before we actually get the hang of it,
[1031.51] Lee: isn't it?
[1031.75] Lee: That's the problem.
[1033.99] Jack: What Frank made me, it's a machine with a...
[1037.35] Jack: He'd make it or...
[1038.71] Jack: Well, yeah, look.
[1041.35] Jack: That is amazing.
[1045.03] Jack: I know, like he doesn't actually love me, even though all I do is ruin his life.
[1049.11] Tony: Literally, that is love.
[1053.35] Jack: I got him something that reminded him of the Battle of Britain,
[1057.83] Jack: Model Air Force thing, and he started crying and then twitching on the floor.
[1063.03] Lee: Yeah, to be honest, both him and I are still suffering from PTSD.
[1067.99] Lee: There are claims going into Channel 4 at the moment around that, but...
[1071.75] Lee: What did you get, Frank?
[1075.83] Frank: Jack got me a head tracker module for the Fat Shark, which is literally rocking horse.
[1081.83] Frank: Yeah, that is rocking horse, isn't it?
[1083.83] Lee: You actually found a Trinity head tracker, Jack.
[1087.51] Lee: That is like...
[1088.07] Lee: You drink that, like brand new inbox.
[1091.75] Jack: Yeah.
[1092.23] Jack: Wow.
[1092.95] Jack: Would you like the contact information for the manufacturer?
[1095.91] Jack: The only problem is, is it costs more to import it than the actual device?
[1102.47] Lee: It's about right.
[1104.79] Lee: They're quite expensive without the import cost and things like that anyway.
[1108.95] Lee: No, please do.
[1110.39] Jack: They're $15, but it costs 20 quid to get it.
[1116.07] Lee: Really? It's only $15. Is that what you paid for it?
[1119.35] Lee: Yeah.
[1119.91] Lee: Last one I got was about like 50 or 60 quid, I think.
[1123.11] Lee: No, I know.
[1124.07] Jack: That's it.
[1124.55] Jack: It's within budget.
[1126.39] Lee: Right.
[1126.63] Lee: You need to send me that link then, Flower, because I could do with another one of them.
[1131.75] Lee: Definitely Northern Flower, eh?
[1134.87] Jack: Could be worse.
[1135.67] Jack: You could call me Sausage.
[1138.71] Lee: Yeah, not when we're on the show.
[1140.23] Jack: Yeah.
[1143.99] Jack: Also, you might be able to save me from my constant toilet breaks as well.
[1149.19] Aries: Right, okay.
[1150.47] Jack: Started late.
[1151.35] Jack: These guys are waiting for me.
[1152.63] Jack: I'm just like, I'm not here.
[1155.11] Jack: So they started off without me.
[1156.79] Jack: But yeah, so yeah, you came up in conversation.
[1161.67] Jack: I've been watching your little videos and that, transitioning.
[1168.15] Jack: What a needed video.
[1169.51] Jack: Transitioning from line of sight to FBV.
[1174.15] Jack: I need the other way.
[1176.15] Jack: Yeah, we need another way, yeah.
[1178.47] Lee: Right.
[1179.19] Lee: Interestingly, quite a few people have come on to that video and said that exact thing.
[1184.63] Lee: And the trick that I've, I am going to make the video about it, but the very short version is
[1189.51] Lee: your best thing is to invest in a little simulator for the PC and just put the out.
[1193.99] Lee: Because the thing with line of sight is that when it's flying towards you, as we all know,
[1198.87] Lee: is that the controls appear reversed.
[1201.83] Lee: They're not, but you have to compensate for the fact it's not flying away from you.
[1205.91] Lee: You don't have to worry about that with FPV.
[1208.79] Lee: That's part of the thing, going back to Fraser and the whole flying thing.
[1213.35] Lee: That's what catches a lot of line of sight pilots out.
[1216.23] Lee: Because although you're concentrating really hard and you think you've got the hang of it,
[1220.07] Lee: as soon as something starts to go wrong and your brain fart happens,
[1224.15] Lee: you immediately start to compensate as though it was flying away from you.
[1227.43] Lee: And you actually make the problem worse.
[1228.95] Lee: And before you know it, it's hit the ground.
[1230.79] Lee: It's in 27 pieces and it's all over.
[1233.75] Lee: So one of the best things is it's actually by a simulator.
[1237.43] Lee: And sadly, things like Phoenix RC have gone to the wall.
[1241.75] Lee: But I think you can download things like Phoenix now for free,
[1244.55] Lee: because it's kind of in, basically, free domain stuff.
[1247.83] Lee: Abandoned wire.
[1249.43] Lee: Yeah, thank you, Jack.
[1251.51] Lee: That's what it is.
[1252.39] Lee: For legal reasons.
[1255.27] Lee: Have you done the disclaimer at the top?
[1257.27] Lee: Yes.
[1257.91] Lee: Right, Fab.
[1259.03] Lee: OK, Fab.
[1260.07] Lee: OK, Fab.
[1263.03] Lee: Sorry, I've set fire to some stuff.
[1264.95] Lee: Just ignore me.
[1267.11] Lee: So actually, yeah, I'm going to make a video about it.
[1269.67] Lee: But that's the biggest thing I could, the biggest piece of advice that's going to be in the video,
[1274.31] Lee: is just get a simulator and just put hours and hours through it.
[1279.43] Lee: Because every time you crash in the simulator, it doesn't cost anything.
[1281.99] Lee: Yeah, that's what I need to do.
[1283.51] Lee: We've got someone else in the house.
[1285.27] Tony: Hello, if you'd like to introduce yourself, you need to unmute yourself.
[1288.63] Tony: Hello, fellas.
[1289.27] Aries: How are you doing?
[1290.47] Aries: Hello.
[1291.19] Aries: Evening, Aries.
[1292.47] Aries: How are we doing?
[1293.27] Aries: You all right?
[1294.31] Aries: Yes, doing all right.
[1295.51] Aries: Thank you.
[1295.83] Aries: How are you?
[1296.87] Aries: Fine, thanks.
[1298.23] Aries: I'm off to the border and all that.
[1299.91] Aries: Just outside Edinburgh.
[1302.31] Tony: Oh, my God, you're well north.
[1304.47] Aries: Yeah.
[1304.71] Tony: That's one strike already.
[1306.23] Tony: Aries, you already got a strike.
[1308.47] Tony: One more left.
[1310.47] Jack: I don't like it, Aries.
[1311.75] Jack: I didn't know you were that north, man.
[1316.31] Aries: Yeah, man.
[1316.71] Jack: Oh, my God.
[1318.95] Jack: He sounds funny and everything.
[1322.23] Jack: Oh, man.
[1323.59] Jack: Frank, isn't there some sort of like...
[1326.47] Jack: Isn't there some sort of...
[1329.03] Jack: What is it?
[1329.51] Jack: Geolite blocking that we can apply for people that north, it hurt.
[1339.51] Jack: I'd get a nosebleed if I went there.
[1341.03] Jack: I'm north.
[1342.55] Jack: Yeah, I know.
[1343.59] Jack: No, you're not.
[1344.31] Jack: Wait, you're not that north.
[1345.99] Jack: No, you're not that north.
[1347.51] Jack: You're just a funny bit.
[1348.55] Jack: Geolite, do you skit half a tan?
[1351.59] Jack: Yeah.
[1353.83] Jack: I live in Wales too long.
[1358.47] Wynn: Thanks to Painless360, I have now placed an order for the HDO2s.
[1363.03] Wynn: Hey!
[1364.39] Wynn: Yeah.
[1365.91] Wynn: Sorry, you look forward to getting my eyes around them.
[1369.27] Jack: Wow.
[1369.99] Jack: Well, I'd love to know, right?
[1371.43] Jack: Because like, I mean, I'm pretty good mate to you, right?
[1374.55] Jack: But I mean, what do you get someone of your caliber for Christmas?
[1381.03] Jack: I can't imagine it because, you know, you've got so many toys, you get all the review stuff.
[1387.19] Jack: You know, if you've got a fantastic life, happy wife,
[1391.59] Jack: you haven't got any kids that are ruining stuff.
[1394.47] Jack: You know, like, what could you possibly want for Christmas?
[1398.95] Jack: What is Painless's top 10 Christmas?
[1401.75] Tony: Well, I really want a Christmas, is it?
[1405.27] Jack: What do you get you?
[1406.79] Jack: Thank you for the Christmas card, by the way.
[1408.55] Lee: You're very welcome.
[1409.27] Lee: Thank you for yours.
[1410.15] Lee: And yeah, Frank, thanks again for the...
[1413.43] Lee: Frank sent me some, like, eating things with his, with the card.
[1416.55] Lee: This package came, I opened it and it had this...
[1419.59] Lee: What were they, Frank?
[1420.87] Lee: They were like, like biscuits, but they were posh ones.
[1424.95] Frank: They're, they're labecooking.
[1426.87] Frank: It's like a German gingerbread thing.
[1429.67] Lee: Right, fantastic.
[1431.67] Lee: They're, but they're very nice.
[1433.43] Lee: Thank you very much for that.
[1434.47] Lee: So the answer to the question, Jack, is, you know what?
[1436.95] Lee: I am, I am really difficult to buy for, but then I think most of us are.
[1441.67] Lee: The only things that are on my list, if I actually went,
[1444.07] Lee: shared my lambards on Wishlist, it's things like filming lights and,
[1450.55] Lee: you know, kind of stuff to do, to do more video stuff with,
[1454.31] Lee: because I'm, I'm planning loads of stuff for next year.
[1456.79] Lee: And I realize I don't have enough light, because right now,
[1460.47] Lee: I mean, you guys are probably in a similar situation.
[1462.15] Lee: You get up in the morning, you kind of get, get,
[1464.55] Lee: get to wherever you do your videos and stuff.
[1466.95] Lee: And unless you've got loads of artificial lights,
[1469.03] Lee: you have to wait till about 10 o'clock.
[1470.71] Lee: And then you've got like a two hour window before it starts,
[1473.35] Lee: absolutely throwing it down again to get whatever filming you need to do.
[1478.31] Lee: And then the light's gone.
[1480.07] Lee: So at the moment, the only thing I'm after is actually the lights.
[1483.59] Lee: So, so that, so that's the only thing on the list.
[1485.67] Lee: But no, to be honest, mate, I'm quite happy just chilling out.
[1488.47] Lee: All I would want for Christmas is a bit of decent flying weather.
[1492.55] Tony: I would be over the moon with it in September.
[1495.83] Tony: Aries, what were you holding in your hands?
[1497.59] Tony: That looked quite big.
[1498.55] Tony: Not as big as mine, but quite big.
[1501.19] Aries: Yeah, that's what you said.
[1503.27] Aries: Come on, Aries.
[1505.51] Aries: So what we've got is got a Rebel Yeti.
[1509.91] Jack: It's nice, man.
[1511.35] Jack: Well, you're flying me the Yeti.
[1513.19] Jack: Also, give him another half a strike because he's a TVS fanboy.
[1521.83] Jack: Do you know what I've been trying to desperately do is, you know, the TV.
[1530.95] Jack: Is, you know, the hashtag ruin the hobby.
[1533.19] Jack: I've been trying to find out what that font is so I can make
[1537.03] Jack: a sticker that says hashtag not trappies, bitch.
[1541.35] Jack: And that's what I've been trying to do.
[1542.95] Jack: So if anyone knows what that font is, or can find out what that font is,
[1546.79] Jack: my email address is bright until I fly at gmail.com.
[1551.59] Tony: David, you're not very Christmassy, nearly half a strike.
[1556.23] Jack: No, give him a strike for that.
[1558.39] Tony: What's he got on his t-shirt?
[1559.51] Tony: He's showing us something.
[1560.79] Tony: We can't see.
[1561.59] Tony: What does it say?
[1563.91] Jack: Click on him.
[1564.63] Jack: You have to unmute yourself.
[1566.07] Jack: Yippee-ki-yay, mother.
[1570.47] Tony: He's got plus one now.
[1573.03] Wynn: That's my type of Christmassy.
[1574.71] Tony: Yeah, he's plus one so he can take three strikes to ease out.
[1579.03] Tony: Well, David, love the t-shirt.
[1580.95] Tony: You're in.
[1582.15] Tony: You're doing well.
[1583.51] Jack: But there is that video of Bruce Willis saying,
[1589.67] Jack: Guy Hard is not a Christmas movie and it is.
[1592.47] Jack: It is, it is, it is.
[1597.43] Jack: I mean, he's from New Jersey, so.
[1599.51] Jack: Oh, Dave, you'll have to unmute yourself, bud.
[1605.35] Jack: How?
[1605.83] Jack: How?
[1606.31] Jack: If you wiggle the mouse next to the hang up button.
[1611.35] Tony: Look at Jack.
[1611.99] Jack: There's, there's the microphone button.
[1615.67] Tony: That microphone.
[1616.87] Fraser Steen: One of the really ugly faces in the middle and they pop up.
[1619.83] Tony: Yeah.
[1621.99] Tony: You are dead in the middle of my picture.
[1628.71] Jack: There, Dave.
[1629.99] Wynn: There, right there, there, Jesus Christ.
[1636.55] Wynn: I'm going to submit it took me a while to work it.
[1641.83] Jack: I keep seeming to have like make a tab that says prawn hub,
[1646.79] Jack: as in like prawns you eat.
[1648.39] Jack: Like I keep forgetting to do that.
[1651.59] Jack: You're losing that that literally you're down to two again.
[1655.99] Jack: You've been hanging around with Gav too much, Dave.
[1658.39] Jack: You're an idiot.
[1659.35] Frank: Oh, no, he's gone.
[1665.75] Frank: And starting a game of charades.
[1670.63] Jack: That is very Christmas.
[1671.83] Jack: I've eaten too many matchmakers and I feel sick.
[1675.59] Fraser Steen: Well done, Robert.
[1680.31] Wynn: Talk about being sick.
[1682.55] Wynn: How are you, Frank, after last night?
[1688.31] Frank: Mostly fully recovered.
[1689.83] Frank: Yeah.
[1690.95] Frank: Do you remember any of it?
[1694.39] Tony: Yeah.
[1696.95] Tony: What's going on?
[1698.63] Jack: So I downloaded the frog detective and Frank.
[1702.07] Jack: I told Frank like, look, you got to do loads of voice acting.
[1705.19] Jack: You got to do loads of little voices and that.
[1707.83] Jack: And it stressed him out.
[1709.03] Jack: So we just started drinking heavily and he just drank pretty much.
[1714.31] Tony: I like drinking heavily, Frank.
[1716.95] Jack: He pretty much done a whole bottle of whiskey.
[1721.03] Wynn: And it was like something just running out of batteries.
[1724.79] Wynn: It just he just faded out and stopped.
[1728.23] Wynn: He started.
[1729.03] Aries: He started making it easier.
[1731.91] Jack: Yeah, he just started reading like you could hold anything up
[1736.31] Jack: like on the screen and he'll just start reading it in different voices
[1740.47] Jack: and then go, no, that's yours.
[1742.87] Jack: And then I was like, Frank, you're right.
[1744.71] Jack: And he's like, no, I can't do this anymore.
[1748.31] Jack: I don't want to be here.
[1750.71] Jack: I'm like, okay, Frank, we'll get we'll get an adult.
[1754.95] Jack: And then he just he left.
[1757.43] Frank: This episode was recorded in front of a live online audience,
[1760.63] Frank: downloaded and edited to make sense when it played audio only
[1764.15] Frank: censored to please the iTunes people hosted on the internet
[1767.11] Frank: forwarded through to your podcast provider,
[1768.95] Frank: downloaded playing on your device and is now playing in your ears.

[1781.27] Frank: Let's drone out.
[1782.79] Tony: Hey, I've got to say, David lost his as you found it.
[1786.87] Tony: I'm back.
[1787.67] Tony: Oh, yeah, down to two strikes.
[1790.95] Tony: I'm on my phone.
[1792.63] Tony: I'm on my phone.
[1793.43] Tony: I don't care.
[1794.39] Tony: You went up to three and now you're coming out.
[1798.47] Jack: Oh, Frank, Frank wants to know what your username is for your VR.
[1805.35] Jack: So you can add you as a friend.
[1807.43] David Powell: It's magical pencil.
[1808.95] David Powell: Yeah, that's what he says to the girls.
[1813.51] Tony: Everyone else.
[1814.23] Tony: And so everything is magical.
[1816.39] Tony: Ladies, it's magical.
[1820.79] Jack: You don't need VR stuff lately.
[1824.47] Lee: Not only on the PlayStation, to be honest.
[1826.79] Lee: I don't tend to do it on the PC, but Andy's quite into all that stuff,
[1831.27] Lee: isn't he?
[1831.59] Lee: He was talking to me about all of that VR.
[1833.99] Lee: Yeah, he does.
[1836.95] Lee: Andy is in Andy.
[1838.15] Lee: I see Andy as in.
[1839.67] Lee: Yeah.
[1841.59] Lee: Where is Andy?
[1842.39] Lee: I see today, by the way.
[1843.59] Lee: Sorry.
[1843.91] Lee: I probably miss team.
[1845.59] Tony: I'm joining the cloud.
[1850.23] Lee: Really?
[1850.55] Lee: Is it as he joined the masons?
[1852.31] Lee: What what what AGM has he gone for?
[1854.39] Tony: I've sent him white socks.
[1857.91] Tony: Frank send him some sandals.
[1859.67] Tony: Easy.
[1862.55] Jack: He's joining the PMA in other words.
[1866.79] Jack: He's I think I'm I think I'm actually going to join a club next year as well.
[1873.19] Tony: Really?
[1877.43] Tony: Is that Devil's Dyke?
[1879.27] Jack: No.
[1879.91] Jack: No, those lot can't stand me.
[1882.95] Jack: They think I'm a hooligan.
[1884.71] Jack: Well, you are.
[1886.39] Jack: And also they didn't like it.
[1887.91] Jack: But yeah, also didn't like it that I made little holes for the rabbits to run through
[1893.99] Jack: because they got like rabbit detection.
[1896.55] Jack: And I felt sorry for the rabbit.
[1898.63] Tony: Oh, well done, Jack.
[1899.51] Tony: You just you can stay on now.
[1902.07] Jack: Yeah.
[1903.75] Jack: You're plus four.
[1905.43] Fraser Steen: So yeah, we won't get rid of you.
[1909.27] Fraser Steen: Any other facility?
[1911.27] Jack: No, not really.
[1912.39] Jack: Probably damaged the toilets, to be fair.
[1914.63] Jack: Well, there isn't a toilet there.
[1916.71] Jack: But there isn't.
[1919.99] Jack: Yeah, I needed to go around the back of the shed.
[1925.75] Jack: But I don't know.
[1927.11] Jack: I'm going to try.
[1928.07] Jack: I'll probably get kicked out as well.
[1931.67] Jack: For any of you, I got a message from someone asking how,
[1936.63] Jack: because I, you know, I've got a job and we were having a secret Santa.
[1942.31] Jack: And I, one of the guy I got really liked Spider-Man.
[1946.47] Jack: So I made a Spider-Man that shoots web out of his ass.
[1955.27] Jack: That didn't go down too well.
[1956.79] Jack: But I haven't been fired.
[1960.87] Tony: I've been fired.
[1962.07] Tony: Well, that's always a good one, Jack.
[1964.95] Jack: Yeah.
[1966.07] Jack: Fly fast.
[1967.83] Jack: Why does that look like Chris?
[1970.23] Jack: P-N-F-O, sorry.
[1974.39] Jack: Yeah, so I haven't been kicked out of there yet.
[1977.11] Tony: It's nice to see faces to...
[1981.35] Tony: Names.
[1982.07] Tony: Names.
[1983.75] Tony: Aries there.
[1985.59] Tony: In the middle, we've got...
[1987.67] Tony: Well, who is that?
[1990.23] Wynn: What was that?
[1991.27] Tony: That's my son.
[1994.79] Tony: Hello, son.
[1996.39] Tony: Hello, Liam.
[1997.67] Wynn: Say hello, Liam.
[1999.51] Tony: Hi.
[2001.11] Tony: Hi.
[2002.63] Tony: Don't speak Scottish.
[2003.75] Tony: Usually, we only use the right.
[2008.31] Aries: Nothing wrong with being north of the border, Tony.
[2013.75] Tony: I don't know who said that.
[2015.11] Tony: Well, Ron, I need an interpreter for that one.
[2017.27] Aries: Yeah.
[2023.44] Lee: Very, very quickly, while there's a lot...
[2025.44] Lee: Frank, did you find out how many of those registrations
[2029.68] Lee: were PCFOs?
[2033.99] Frank: I haven't heard anything on that.
[2037.83] Frank: They're all busy working out how all the PCFOs stuff's going to work come July.
[2045.43] Frank: Actually, no.
[2046.07] Frank: There's stuff happening in May with the PCFOs or something like April, May time.
[2051.51] Frank: There's a lot of stuff going on at the moment.
[2053.35] Lee: You can guess why I asked the question, though, right?
[2055.67] Lee: Because the PCFOs are probably going to be joining anyway
[2059.35] Lee: because they feel they have to.
[2060.95] Lee: What I was trying to get a handle on is how many net new people
[2064.95] Lee: signed up the drone registration stuff on top of the PCFO.
[2069.83] Lee: Because that number was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be.
[2072.87] Lee: It's kind of, okay, so how many net news are apart?
[2076.47] Lee: What, 60,300 or something, was it?
[2079.51] Frank: Yeah.
[2080.39] Frank: I don't know if that includes the people who have opted in through the BMFA system.
[2087.27] Frank: I don't know if that counts.
[2089.59] Frank: I don't know how that's being worked out, but.
[2092.23] Jack: So you guys talking about registration?
[2094.63] Lee: Yeah, what it is, everybody.
[2097.27] Lee: Frank sent me the number of how many people had registered.
[2100.15] Lee: Was it the end of November that I registered during November on the official site?
[2107.03] Lee: And it was something ridiculous.
[2108.07] Lee: It was a crazy number.
[2108.95] Lee: Like a million.
[2110.07] Lee: 60,300 or something like that.
[2112.95] Lee: And I was thinking, bloody hell, I cannot believe the 60,000 pilots in the UK
[2117.43] Lee: who would pull the trigger and go and register.
[2119.99] Lee: Because everyone I've ever spoke to has gone, no way.
[2122.39] Lee: I'm not going anywhere near that.
[2123.99] Lee: Or have done what a lot of us have done, as you know, through BMFA or FPV UK,
[2128.15] Lee: is kind of trying to dodge that bullet as long as we can.
[2133.03] Lee: And so I said to Andrew, that seems high.
[2137.03] Lee: And he said, well, it includes the PCFOs.
[2139.43] Lee: And I said, okay, how many of those?
[2141.19] Lee: Because I didn't know whether it was like 59,992 were PCFOs
[2146.71] Lee: that had kind of come in.
[2147.99] Lee: And the rest were net new subscribers.
[2150.15] Lee: I was trying to get my hand a handle on how many people had actually registered
[2154.39] Lee: on the site in November.
[2155.75] Lee: And it's interesting that that seems to be a tricky number to get hold of.
[2161.19] Lee: It can't be that many people.
[2164.07] Lee: I didn't think there were 60,000 pilots in the UK, to be honest.
[2169.59] Lee: Do you reckon it's the Russians?
[2171.67] Lee: I think it could be the Russians.
[2177.11] Jack: We want register.
[2179.51] Jack: None of us here.
[2180.71] Jack: Hang on.
[2181.59] Jack: Out of all the guests, put your hands up if you've registered.
[2187.78] Jack: You're a traitor.
[2188.98] Tony: Kick him off.
[2192.02] Jack: What do you pay to register?
[2195.46] David Powell: Yeah.
[2196.26] David Powell: Well, through BMFA.
[2198.18] Jack: No, not through BMFA.
[2200.02] David Powell: No.
[2202.42] Jack: Yeah.
[2203.86] Jack: Right, take a point off him.
[2205.14] Jack: He's an idiot.
[2209.22] Jack: He's an idiot.
[2211.22] Jack: I actively went to the website, paid £9.50, any of you.
[2218.1] Jack: So that's what...
[2223.78] Jack: That's one out of nine of us.
[2226.9] Jack: That can't be...
[2228.34] Jack: That cannot be true.
[2232.5] Jack: I mean, is it...
[2234.58] Jack: What, all the DJI people?
[2236.42] Jack: Are they being fitted with some sort of DJI brain chip that's like, master register?
[2243.14] Fraser Steen: That's not far off, then.
[2244.1] Fraser Steen: They said there were 100,000 drone users.
[2246.58] Fraser Steen: 60 in there.
[2247.62] Fraser Steen: Getting there.
[2248.26] Fraser Steen: One in nine.
[2250.18] Jack: Oh my God.
[2252.18] Jack: No, it's not gay.
[2253.62] Jack: It's a...
[2254.1] Jack: Take a point off, then.
[2258.26] Aries: Guys, we've got like Facebook groups up north, quote unquote.
[2265.7] Aries: There are solely just, you know, PFCO flyers and they've all registered.
[2271.7] Aries: We're talking like six to seven thousand people.
[2274.66] Aries: It's crazy.
[2277.25] Aries: They don't understand that they could wait and find out what the real answer is.
[2285.25] Lee: You see, that's really interesting because I think a lot of the people who have that big chunk
[2289.01] Lee: of that 60,000 people who registered are the PCFO crowd who thought they had to or just want
[2294.45] Lee: to make sure they're covered rather than, you know, the rest of the hobby.
[2300.05] Lee: Any idea if we'll ever find out that number or is everyone just pretending it never happened?
[2306.42] Frank: I think people are busy doing other things to put information together that would help us
[2314.02] Frank: make a point.
[2315.78] Lee: Okay.
[2316.58] Lee: But there we go.
[2317.46] Lee: That's fine.
[2318.1] Lee: That's okay.
[2318.58] Lee: It's just, I cannot believe it was 60,000 people went on that site and registered because,
[2323.46] Lee: yeah, most people either didn't.
[2326.1] Lee: Which is their right.
[2327.38] Lee: And then most of us actually went and did it through our existing,
[2330.82] Lee: you know, did the exemption through the existing organization they're with.
[2335.7] Lee: It just seemed like a crazy number.
[2336.98] Lee: That's right.
[2337.38] Lee: Can you let me know if you're here, please?
[2338.9] Lee: I'd love to know.
[2339.78] Frank: If I hear something, I will let you know.
[2342.26] Jack: Don't you try to infiltrate at one point?
[2348.85] Fraser Steen: Oh, yeah, of course.
[2351.01] Fraser Steen: I think if you had a PFCO and it was your living dependent on it and there was a nine
[2355.09] Fraser Steen: quid registration, you'd probably just do it.
[2356.93] Lee: Just do it, wouldn't you?
[2357.97] Lee: Yeah, I agree.
[2360.53] Lee: I agree.
[2362.13] Frank: Just to say nothing else.
[2366.64] Jack: I don't know, man.
[2368.32] Jack: I just, I thought that people were going to hold off.
[2373.51] Lee: Well, I'm not sure that they haven't, Jack, which is kind of my question, really,
[2377.43] Lee: to figure out what most, because most people, you know,
[2380.15] Lee: we're trying to wait and see what comes at the end of January.
[2383.99] Jack: Haven't we got, oh man, I'm not, I'm not logged in, but
[2388.71] Jack: it might have been worse.
[2391.11] Jack: See whether, let me open the other instance, because we can make, I think,
[2396.39] Jack: can we make a poll with the LDO account in chat and see whether any of these guys are registered?
[2404.23] Wynn: I'm finding where I am.
[2405.35] Wynn: It's mainly the DJI fellas that are registered.
[2408.55] Wynn: Oh, God, the bunch of f***ing do-gooders.
[2411.35] Wynn: Yeah, the people are not in the clubs and things like that.
[2414.79] Wynn: Jesus Christ.
[2416.15] Jack: The poll is registered.
[2419.91] Jack: Oh, hello.
[2424.92] Jack: Hello, Joker.
[2427.4] Jack: Yeah, Joker.
[2429.4] Jack: He's there.
[2430.12] Jack: Hey, Joker.
[2431.88] Jack: Free Danny.
[2436.44] Jack: What's it like being Tony's sex slave?
[2442.76] Jack: It's just jealousy, Jack.
[2445.56] Jack: He was mine first.
[2447.56] Jack: He's my wife.
[2451.0] Jack: How do you create a poll?
[2453.16] Jack: Do you not?
[2454.04] Jack: Is it, oh, it's community, isn't it?
[2455.96] Fraser Steen: Just say, if you haven't, you know, completed the registration, hit like on the video.
[2461.88] Jack: No, don't do that.
[2465.08] Jack: Oh, no, yeah, that's the right way around.
[2468.44] Jack: Hang on, I'll do a straw poll.
[2471.0] Jack: Any news?
[2472.04] Jack: Any interesting stuff that's come out?
[2474.6] Jack: Anything people want to buy?
[2478.84] Jack: Go for a piss, then.
[2481.4] Jack: I mean, I went to the toilet.
[2488.53] Jack: I don't know.
[2489.09] Jack: It's a kind of Christmas episode.
[2491.41] Jack: How are we doing?
[2492.69] Jack: Frank, when are you going to make your head tracking thing?
[2499.65] Jack: Have you bought any servos yet?
[2501.25] Frank: Uh, I've got like piles of different servos.
[2506.45] Frank: I've got like, there's, I've got everything I need except for time and energy.
[2515.33] Jack: Have you registered?
[2523.84] Frank: To everyone who's joined, who might not have heard, we're on the announcement.
[2528.48] Frank: We do have a venue where we're going to be holding a live in person, like all in the same room
[2538.0] Frank: with a live audience show on the 2nd of January near Bletchley Park at a secret undisclosed
[2546.64] Frank: location.
[2548.32] Frank: So if you want to come along for that, then let us know and we will let you know where it is.
[2555.04] Frank: Um, it will be the, uh, or you can come along from four 30 and we will be doing some play
[2561.6] Frank: testing of some ideas for some team sports with some tiny whoop stuff.
[2566.96] Frank: So we're going to have some like helium balloons and all sorts of things going on that we're
[2570.8] Frank: going to try out some, some team games.
[2572.8] Frank: So if you want to come along for that, uh, bring along that, bring along any, any projects
[2577.28] Frank: you're working on or that you've made or anything you want to come and show and tell before or
[2582.24] Frank: during the show.
[2583.44] Frank: Um, and then yeah, we're going to have same time, same system.
[2588.24] Frank: We're going to be doing a live show from there, um, on the 2nd of January.
[2592.72] Frank: So Thursday, the 2nd of January near Bletchley Park.
[2596.16] Frank: So drop us a message on Facebook or Patreon or Instagram or email us.
[2602.88] Frank: Let us know now at gmail.com or any of the other ways of getting into contact with us.
[2610.02] Tony: Looking forward to it.
[2611.7] David Powell: Yeah.
[2612.26] Tony: Yeah.
[2613.86] David Powell: Will there be sparklers?
[2616.58] Tony: Uh, I don't know.
[2618.74] Tony: If we get, are we going live as well?
[2621.54] Tony: Yeah.
[2623.38] Tony: Cool.
[2623.78] Tony: Yeah.
[2624.02] Tony: Well, probably, probably some sparklers as well then.
[2628.9] Jack: Hopefully.
[2630.26] Tony: You might be able to fly through some sparklers.
[2632.66] Jack: Right.
[2633.14] Jack: I have, I have put up a poll polls in the chat guys.
[2638.1] Jack: If you want to, if you want to vote.
[2641.62] Jack: What?
[2642.02] Jack: Where?
[2642.26] Jack: And we will go for that.
[2648.66] Jack: We're voting for who or who hasn't registered because it's interesting to find out.
[2653.94] Jack: Oh, I haven't.
[2656.34] Jack: But I'm going to.
[2661.06] David Powell: You spell PFCO, Rob.
[2664.1] Wynn: F P V V U K.
[2669.06] Wynn: Does that count?
[2671.3] Tony: You've got to do it anyway.
[2674.1] Tony: It's like you either got to be a rogue and not do it.
[2676.58] Tony: Or you've got to do it by January 1st.
[2682.53] Jack: Plus you're lucky.
[2683.57] Jack: I could spell that.
[2687.01] Tony: I'm doing, I have to.
[2692.08] Tony: I'll be on the phone to Frank that night.
[2695.28] Jack: Lee, are you going to get your eye or you stick him with
[2702.32] Lee: F P V U K.
[2704.08] Lee: So at the moment I've done the exemption, I think it's called through F P V U K.
[2709.12] Lee: So waiting to see what happens in January.
[2711.92] Lee: So hopefully Frank will keep us appraised of what's going on.
[2715.76] Lee: The thing is, I love this hobby.
[2717.36] Lee: And as a somebody who makes YouTube videos, which include a lot of flying,
[2722.56] Lee: it's going to be difficult for me not to register.
[2724.72] Lee: Because if I don't register, it's only going to take one muppet to report me
[2728.8] Lee: for me to be in hot water.
[2730.72] Lee: So it gets a little bit tricky when you're publishing videos on places like YouTube
[2736.08] Lee: showing you flying when you don't have that kind of protection.
[2740.16] Lee: And then, you know, because nobody's going to bail me out and pay my fines.
[2744.64] Lee: So it's I'm hoping that there's going to be something,
[2747.84] Lee: some good news before we have to get to the end of January
[2750.96] Lee: and do whatever we have to do next.
[2753.44] Lee: But you know, December's screamed past.
[2756.96] Lee: I haven't heard anything change substantially.
[2759.28] Lee: You know, last time I spoke to Frank, it was all like it was last time.
[2764.64] Lee: And I just I just I just really don't want to have to register with the government.
[2769.04] Lee: And I just it feels very it's like you said, Jack, it's a you know,
[2772.64] Lee: it's kind of a non pedophile register registry, isn't it?
[2775.52] Lee: It just yeah, only the good people are going to do it anyway.
[2780.32] Jack: It's a bit Yeah, he's a bit weird.
[2783.04] Jack: But I you know, we've kind of this hobby, we haven't killed anyone
[2787.28] Jack: and nothing major's happened.
[2789.76] Jack: And if if if there was something to get with, they would have caught them by now.
[2794.32] Jack: It would have, you know, they've had a whole year.
[2796.8] Jack: I don't know whether any of you guys saw, but the tortoise released an article on it today,
[2803.76] Jack: saying a year on from the Gatwick incident.
[2806.08] Jack: Let me have a look for the tortoise.
[2812.0] Tony: I mean, I would have a year and still no photographic evidence.
[2818.96] Jack: Yeah, not even a broken prop my rubbish in it.
[2822.96] Tony: And they sold the airport two days later.
[2825.36] Tony: The USA sold it to the French.
[2829.6] Lee: Yeah, spooky.
[2834.16] Wynn: The UK.
[2836.08] Wynn: I've done the A-cert, but they've got a B-certificate that you can do with something.
[2841.04] Wynn: I don't know if anyone knows anything more about that.
[2844.64] Tony: Frank, are you gonna do it?
[2846.0] Tony: I need to do it to do shows.
[2849.6] Tony: So if you display it in shows next year, you need to have it done.
[2853.68] Tony: Yeah.
[2855.36] Wynn: I just wondered if that was something like the BMFA B-cert or whether that's totally.
[2861.2] Tony: I think it's going to be separate.
[2862.56] Tony: I think it's different.
[2867.4] Frank: It is going to be different.
[2869.0] Frank: It's something that they were months ago,
[2873.24] Frank: and the plan with how the things in terms of getting people to be the examiners on that
[2882.44] Frank: a sticking point.
[2883.88] Frank: But hopefully they'll kind of work something out soon.
[2888.36] Frank: I imagine, especially from the beginning of next month,
[2894.84] Frank: all the conversation at the moment is how all the CFCs work.
[2898.6] Frank: So the certificates of competency, what all the requirements are going to be,
[2902.44] Frank: how it's all going to be tested, all that kind of thing.
[2904.92] Frank: So I imagine part of it is going to be kind of waiting until that kind of format is laid out,
[2909.64] Frank: and then hopefully the FPV UK B-cert or B-test will be built towards that standard.
[2917.8] Frank: But we'll see what happens.
[2920.68] Lee: Do you think there'll be a practical element to that, Frank, in terms of some kind?
[2925.0] Lee: Because that was the whole thing with the BMFA stuff, isn't it?
[2927.56] Lee: All that stuff historically have been, you know, you're in a field with a guy kind of
[2933.88] Lee: measuring you and judging your performance.
[2941.52] Frank: Probably. There might be some...
[2946.16] Wynn: I was wondering if the FPV UK certificate was going to be very similar to the A certificate
[2952.72] Wynn: of the BMFA, where you do exactly that, you're in a field showing you competency on flying.
[2960.0] Jack: So I'm posting...
[2965.2] Jack: Sorry, I accidentally talking after you.
[2968.56] Jack: I posted the Gatwick stuff, the Twitter and the article.
[2975.68] David Powell: Have any of you guys done the PFCO tests, or the practical ones?
[2981.76] David Powell: No, because that was incredibly easy.
[2984.72] David Powell: Getting stuff.
[2988.72] Tony: Is it worth doing if January is coming?
[2991.36] David Powell: No, I did the test and then I heard about this stuff,
[2995.04] David Powell: so I just didn't bother doing the last bit where you have to pay £240,
[2998.4] David Powell: and then you have to pay £150 every year after that to keep your PFCO.
[3003.44] David Powell: So it's quite expensive, so I thought, no, I won't bother with that.
[3005.92] David Powell: But I did all the tests and everything, and it's quite easy.
[3008.88] David Powell: You're supposed to use your camera to do the practical tests,
[3011.84] David Powell: and the gimbal I had didn't even work.
[3014.56] David Powell: And I still did it, passed it with flying colours.
[3019.84] Tony: I'm hoping Andy R.C. will test me.
[3028.02] Tony: I'll drive up north if he pass me.
[3033.52] Jack: I'm saying on the subject.
[3034.72] Jack: The law says you've got to fly from where you can be seen.
[3038.64] Jack: So I think I'm in for a market of flashing the dog collar drone colours.
[3046.64] Tony: Do you remember a few years back when luminous socks and stuff were in?
[3051.52] Tony: And laces, anyone?
[3053.28] Jack: That was the 80s, Tony.
[3054.8] Jack: I know you've been through a few ice ages, but yeah.
[3058.32] Lee: I saw someone nod there.
[3061.44] Lee: Yeah, no, it was me, Tony.
[3064.4] Lee: They came back for a bit.
[3065.76] Tony: Yeah, we're going to do that.
[3067.2] Tony: We're going to have to do that standing in the middle of the field with luminous stuff on.
[3072.32] David Powell: Well, Jack, I think that law discriminates against small people, though, doesn't it?
[3076.08] Jack: Yeah, maybe.
[3078.16] Jack: Yeah, if they're hobbit size like you, Tony.
[3081.36] Jack: Wait, they can't be seen.
[3082.72] Jack: Yeah, it's long grass.
[3083.84] Tony: Have you been to one of the half strikes?
[3087.36] Tony: Jack, you're on one.
[3089.36] Tony: Yeah, I didn't say it.
[3093.04] Jack: Yeah, he didn't say it.
[3094.08] Jack: I did.
[3094.64] Jack: So I'm down to my last strike, probably.
[3098.24] Jack: You are.
[3099.44] Jack: No, so, I mean, for a start, this tortoise like document,
[3105.44] Jack: it's security fears the 4th of April 2019 attack of the drones.
[3111.52] Jack: The Gatwick drone incident before Christmas disrupted 802 flights.
[3117.2] Jack: I mean, I'm not being funny.
[3118.4] Jack: And I don't ever want to be quoted for this in case anything does happen.
[3122.08] Jack: But, you know, you can still pass a competency test and still be a tool.
[3127.92] Tony: Yeah.
[3130.0] Tony: Bring up and say I saw a drone near an airport.
[3135.84] David Powell: Does anyone want to see what the test would actually involve, though?
[3139.36] David Powell: How would you test competency on a rate like an accurate load line up like FPV helicopter?
[3145.76] Jack: Yeah, I find it a bit weird as well.
[3150.16] Jack: Yeah, I find it a bit weird that it's solely tested on line of sight and not.
[3155.52] Tony: YouTube video.
[3156.56] Tony: This is my YouTube video.
[3158.4] Tony: Okay, you can fly.
[3161.6] Jack: Well, I've purposely not printed out my competency certificate from the BMFA
[3167.2] Jack: so that if one day some avocado eating, what is it?
[3175.12] Jack: What is it?
[3178.8] Jack: Yeah.
[3179.36] Jack: Yeah.
[3179.68] Jack: Pop a coup or whatever it is.
[3181.6] Jack: What is it?
[3182.32] Jack: A cocker spaniel cross pop a coup.
[3190.16] Jack: I don't know what it is.
[3192.16] Jack: Well, if one of them phones up the police because, oh, my God,
[3196.4] Jack: I've got a drawing and the police come over and they're like,
[3199.76] Jack: can we see your competency certificate?
[3204.08] Jack: You can watch a whole hour of YouTube whilst I live on YouTube and pass it.
[3212.24] Jack: I got nine out of 10.
[3213.36] Jack: Don't you know, officer?
[3214.48] Jack: I just refused to answer that.
[3217.2] Jack: Yes, I must be visible to public at all times whilst operating a drone.
[3221.12] Jack: It's ridiculous, isn't it?
[3222.8] Jack: Like I need some sort of GPS tracking device, like some sort of, you know,
[3230.0] Jack: what is it called when they let you out of prison but they tag you?
[3234.72] Jack: Like you need some sort of like prison tag just to enjoy a hobby.
[3238.48] Jack: Yeah, those ankle bracelets.
[3241.36] Jack: Basically is, isn't it?
[3243.28] Jack: Do you know what I mean?
[3244.16] Jack: Pretty much.
[3244.88] Jack: Your crime is you're having fun.
[3248.96] David Powell: Yeah, so we don't really fly.
[3250.56] Jack: So you're not being on the whole electronic.
[3254.88] Tony: No, that's in the next few years.
[3258.08] Tony: We're all being limited to how fast we can fly and everything.
[3263.12] David Powell: We don't really come from trees or bushes anyway.
[3266.4] David Powell: Yeah.
[3270.8] Frank: Yeah.
[3272.16] Jack: Don't, less about Tony.
[3275.52] Frank: My monkey in the chat wants to know, is Andy RC quality control testing the LDO
[3280.24] Frank: Wanksock before you dispatch the Christmas orders?
[3288.32] Tony: You can come on the show anytime.
[3292.0] Tony: You'll never get kicked off with that comment.
[3294.4] Tony: Hold on.
[3295.68] Tony: That's quality.
[3296.96] Jack: If I ever release one, let me know and I will send you one for free.
[3301.52] Jack: That was funny.
[3303.44] Jack: Is it not on the shop yet then, Jack?
[3305.44] Jack: No.
[3306.32] Jack: No, I was thinking about it, but I don't know whether.
[3309.2] Tony: I probably sell out more than the acts.
[3311.68] Tony: Oh, no.
[3316.24] Jack: Happy Christmas, everyone.
[3317.52] Jack: Does Ladder still watch because we could talk to him about doing the sock?
[3323.76] Jack: I don't know whether he watches.
[3326.88] Jack: I think he probably does.
[3328.48] Jack: Oh, man.
[3331.44] Jack: So, have you guys enjoyed this year with flying, even with the registration and all that?
[3338.96] Tony: Well, it hasn't happened yet.
[3340.56] Tony: So, I've tried to enjoy most of my year here.
[3343.6] Tony: Yeah.
[3344.88] Wynn: We've enjoyed it as much as we can at the castle and we had some good fun there.
[3350.4] Wynn: And doing a bit of tiny whoop sessions now in the wintertime.
[3354.8] Wynn: I'm hoping to see the other side of Christmas, developing an Infinity Gate right now.
[3361.04] Wynn: So, I hope to join the lads again in the drone circle and have a bit of fun with them.
[3368.0] Jack: I've finished pretty much building my sonic AR wing.
[3374.64] Jack: So, penis, it better be good.
[3377.12] Lee: Oh, yeah, just don't crash it, mate, because it's awesome.
[3380.72] Lee: Yeah.
[3381.92] Lee: Give me a shout before you made it.
[3383.76] Jack: Yeah, we'll do, man.
[3384.88] Jack: We'll do.
[3385.44] Jack: I can get some...
[3387.36] Jack: It would be nice to have a sort of protractor level of reflex.
[3394.4] Jack: Yeah.
[3394.96] Lee: Aries has got a wing there, look.
[3396.72] Lee: Oh, man.
[3399.12] Lee: Which one's that one?
[3400.0] Lee: Is that another AR?
[3401.28] Lee: No.
[3402.32] Lee: Many AR.
[3405.04] Tony: That looks nice.
[3406.96] Jack: Yeah.
[3407.92] Jack: I've now used GPS modules in the bottom.
[3414.24] Tony: Is that so they can track you, Jack?
[3416.24] Jack: Or is it?
[3416.8] Jack: Yeah, I don't know.
[3418.08] Jack: Yeah.
[3419.36] Jack: That's it.
[3420.48] Jack: And it's all nicely done.
[3422.56] Jack: And because you can't buy GoPro Hero 4s or 3s anymore,
[3426.96] Jack: I've had to hack the living crap out of it to wedge a GoPro Hero 5.
[3432.96] Jack: And it weighs the same amount as a small family.
[3437.44] Tony: So, have you compensated with the weight displacement on that?
[3441.84] Tony: Really big motor.
[3443.28] Tony: Yeah.
[3447.28] Jack: Fair play, mate.
[3448.96] Jack: Really big, fat, sunny sky motor.
[3454.0] Jack: It's going to fly like a manhole cover.
[3457.04] Wynn: So, Jack, are you purely FPV with that or your line of sight as well?
[3461.2] Jack: Yeah, FPV.
[3462.72] Jack: I can't be trusted, line of sight.
[3465.44] Jack: How much does it weigh?
[3469.6] Jack: 250 grams under.
[3471.36] Jack: 200.
[3477.84] Jack: I really, really want to make those.
[3480.16] Jack: Tomorrow I might do that, make the I'm not trapeze bitch stickers and put it on that.
[3486.16] Jack: I think it was good.
[3489.04] Jack: I might make some...
[3491.28] Jack: Drew, if you're watching this, I'm sorry, but I might even make
[3494.88] Jack: for Christmas and send them out.
[3496.88] Jack: Some Roto-Rite was better before Drew was there.
[3502.88] Jack: But it's okay, Drew.
[3505.76] Jack: I know that you and everyone else knows that I'm a prick.
[3509.68] Jack: So, yeah.
[3511.04] Tony: Well, they've got something right on the old one.
[3513.04] Jack: Yeah, that's it.
[3514.56] Jack: Right, let's get the...
[3516.96] Jack: Let's dish out the links for the...
[3526.72] Jack: The... What do you call it?
[3528.4] Jack: I don't know. What do you call it?
[3530.4] Jack: Head tracking unit.
[3532.24] Jack: So, we'll send it to Painless360 first.
[3535.28] Lee: Thanks, brother.
[3535.92] Jack: And then he can then order what he needs.
[3542.08] Jack: Will you order them now before I give the link out on chat?
[3547.2] Lee: If that works for you, I can do that on site.
[3549.04] Lee: Yeah.
[3549.44] Jack: Yeah, no worries.
[3554.08] Jack: Frank, quickly think of a...
[3558.8] Jack: Think of something to say.
[3559.84] Jack: We'll talk about it.
[3563.52] Jack: You know of the result of the throw-up-hole?
[3566.64] Jack: That's a griddle.
[3569.68] Jack: What a pro-sessional.
[3572.56] Frank: So, in the time that the stroll pile has been open, 52% of people have responded to say
[3582.4] Frank: that they're with the BMFA already.
[3586.8] Frank: 38% of people have said, no, I will never register.
[3591.52] Frank: 10% of people have said, yes, I went on the site like a good boy and gave them £9.50.
[3596.8] Frank: And 0% of people said I have a PCO, which I presume is PFCA.
[3602.8] Tony: Yeah.
[3603.28] Frank: Yeah.
[3604.24] Jack: So, it's pointless learning the spelling for a hat, because it's become July, it's totally pointless.
[3611.04] Jack: It's on your WhatsApp.
[3615.2] Lee: Okay, thanks, brother.
[3616.24] Jack: So, give us a nod when you've ordered it, and I'll put the link out for people,
[3620.24] Jack: because once I've put it out, they'll probably go, and then that'll be the last.
[3632.64] Tony: Sorry, it didn't work.
[3633.68] Tony: Robin's FBV flights.
[3636.48] Tony: The store code doesn't work.
[3638.88] Tony: Oh, I did try.
[3640.8] Tony: Sorry, guys.
[3643.2] Tony: I think Wayne has won for most Christmassy.
[3647.6] Jack: Well, he's good, isn't he?
[3648.64] Jack: He's got kids and that.
[3649.68] Tony: He's got a Rudolph he's been talking to for half an hour.
[3654.8] Wynn: No, I got my son down the bottom there.
[3656.96] Wynn: He's playing...
[3658.88] Wynn: What are you playing, Liam?
[3660.72] Wynn: Fortnite.
[3661.36] Wynn: He's playing Fortnite.
[3662.08] Jack: Oh, no.
[3663.68] Wynn: Oh, yes.
[3665.28] Jack: Back to Minecraft.
[3669.84] Tony: If you hang around, if everyone hangs around, you'll get your good boy from Aries and stuff.
[3679.28] Tony: I think it's time to wrap up, isn't it?
[3682.8] Jack: I came on, I think I introduced at quarter past.
[3686.64] Jack: That's about it, then.
[3688.4] Jack: I'm waiting for Lee to finish putting in his credit card details whilst he orders.
[3694.56] Lee: That's all right, Jack.
[3695.44] Lee: Go for it.
[3696.16] Lee: Let everyone else have a crack at it as well, brother.
[3698.48] Lee: All right.
[3698.96] Lee: Are you sure?
[3699.84] Lee: Yeah, yeah, go for it.
[3700.72] Lee: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
[3701.68] Lee: Because head tracking is not a very common thing that a lot of people do.
[3705.76] Lee: So just for those of you that haven't tried it, if you've got some fat shot of goggles,
[3711.36] Lee: the Trinity head tracker just snaps in.
[3713.52] Lee: It's a bit of a pain in the ass to set up.
[3715.68] Lee: I've got a video on it.
[3717.04] Lee: But then if you want to put a pan and tilt on something like a Bixler or a floater or
[3721.12] Lee: something like that, if you do an FPV, it makes it really good.
[3726.16] Lee: For 15 quid, that's a bloody bargain, mate.
[3729.12] Wynn: 15 dollars?
[3730.4] Wynn: How does that work?
[3731.12] Wynn: The new HDO2s?
[3734.08] Wynn: Is that a new module?
[3735.92] Lee: So that's the new board on the right hand side.
[3739.68] Lee: If you want a head tracker, you need the replacement board to go underneath it.
[3743.04] Lee: I don't know why they didn't ship the same board on the first one.
[3747.52] Lee: It's one of those weird things when I popped the cover off.
[3749.84] Lee: When I did my review, I was like, oh, I wasn't expecting to see that.
[3753.36] Lee: Because normally, there's a little daughter board pin out that you just plug the Trinity into.
[3760.24] Lee: Well, you had to get another board in order to fit that board.
[3763.12] Lee: So the HDO2s are the only ones of the family that it will fit in,
[3767.84] Lee: that it won't fit in straight out the box.
[3769.68] Lee: Because the bay that it's supposed to fit into, the right hand bay,
[3773.36] Lee: the board that's in there has the new DVR, some of the control stuff,
[3777.76] Lee: and you know the button to turn it on and off.
[3780.16] Lee: Oh, legacy mode, yeah.
[3782.64] Lee: All that jazz.
[3783.36] Lee: He's in that side.
[3784.48] Lee: So if you want to use a Trinity head tracker,
[3788.08] Lee: you can swap the board out in there and just kind of get rid of the on-off button instead.
[3794.32] Lee: Because there is a port out at the moment for it.
[3797.36] Lee: So when, if I hear anything from Flat Shack about what they're doing about that,
[3801.52] Lee: I'll post something on the YouTube channel.
[3803.68] Lee: Because I'm interested in that as well, because I like head track as well.
[3808.4] Jack: Thanks, Jack.
[3809.28] Jack: Yeah, no problem.
[3810.48] Jack: Thanks, guys.
[3811.52] Jack: Right. Thank you, everyone who tuned in for the little Christmas special
[3817.2] Jack: where we all got together and realized that we all hate this show.
[3824.32] Jack: You'll be joined by.
[3827.28] Jack: No, we love you all.
[3828.64] Jack: Big shout out to all our patrons,
[3830.8] Jack: everyone who makes this show bearable.
[3833.28] Jack: Thanks for everyone who shows up and watches it.
[3835.36] Jack: It means a lot to all of us,
[3838.32] Jack: and the fact that we're still going after all these years,
[3840.96] Jack: and I haven't killed Tony.
[3842.96] Jack: I'd like to add that to my legal defense.
[3845.6] Jack: Yeah, true.
[3847.6] Jack: We've been joined by Andrew Sash-Frank.
[3850.88] Jack: What are you doing, Twitsha?
[3852.08] Jack: Good night.
[3853.04] Jack: I don't know.
[3855.6] Jack: All right.
[3856.24] Jack: Okay.
[3856.8] Jack: I don't know.
[3857.28] Jack: I'm not too sure.
[3858.88] Jack: My little Tony.
[3860.4] Jack: Merry Christmas, we filthy animals.
[3863.92] Jack: Magic pencil.
[3865.52] Jack: See you later.
[3866.8] Jack: Always a pleasure playing the 360.
[3869.28] Jack: Merry Christmas, everybody.
[3871.2] Jack: Aries FPV.
[3873.6] Jack: Layers.
[3875.04] Jack: I win.
[3876.56] Jack: Take care.
[3878.08] Jack: And I'll be bright until I fly.
[3879.76] Jack: Thank you so much, guys.
[3881.2] Jack: And good night.
[3882.72] Tony: Telemetry loss.
[3886.12] Tony: Bye.
[3886.6] Tony: I wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas,
[3895.4] Tony: and a merry new year.
