[217.84] Curry: remake of like Resi 2, 3 on the GameCube and all they did was they slightly up to the graphics
[226.32] Curry: and it was like, oh, it's the same on stuff. And the remake of Resident Evil 1 was the old
[231.68] Curry: controls. It's essentially the same thing. So I assumed that Resident Evil 2 would be the same.

[290.88] AndyRC: Yeah, the flywheel one flew really nice, but I think that's because the props were above
[295.92] AndyRC: the protectors. So it did aqua really nice, actually. Yeah, and I'll tell you, you're not
[303.36] AndyRC: going to like this tone. The GoPro Hero 8, so much better than the 7.
[310.32] Tony: I've just got a 7. Plus, you can't see the difference, I don't know.
[316.16] Curry: You bloody can, because what's the difference then, Andy? I haven't noticed it.

[323.2] Curry: No, but I've been watching videos and people do comparisons, and I honestly couldn't see the difference.
[328.72] AndyRC: Yeah, I can't. It is night and day when it comes to dine-out range. I got the Hero 7
[335.92] AndyRC: with hypersmooth, pointed it straight at the sun, and all the ground was dark.
[340.8] AndyRC: Then I got the Hero 8, and it was, yeah.
[345.92] Tony: I can't even help to expose you, though, on the 7 if you want. If you say it out,
[350.08] AndyRC: it's just as good. Who wants to do that, though, when you're going in and out of buildings?
[356.16] Tony: Oh, look what Lumskill says. Lens not replaceable on the 8, and you can replace the lens on the 7.
[363.04] Curry: That would be quite a big deal, though, because all GoPros up to now have been
[366.16] Curry: awful on dynamic range. As soon as you point them in the sun, that's it. Everything else is black.
[370.88] Curry: So it's actually showing up quite nicely. You can actually see stuff.
[374.8] AndyRC: Yeah, I was like... The audio is so much better, as well, on an actual copter, as well.
[385.84] AndyRC: Yeah, it's a lot different. I didn't know about the non-replaceable lens thing,
[392.64] AndyRC: but I always use lens protectors on the GoPro things anyway. I'm yet to smash up a...

[414.32] AndyRC: I think the Hypersmooth's a little bit better, as well. You do get those odd moments, don't you,
[419.2] AndyRC: when the Hypersmooth sort of judders and you're like, oh, wait, you know...

[425.84] AndyRC: You have to do some pretty extreme acro to do it, but the 8 doesn't seem to be doing that.
[434.72] AndyRC: I'm not saying it'll go out and get an 8, but it just... Yeah, just more clarity.
[441.28] AndyRC: Like the 7 and the 8, when I compared them, I was going to do a comparison there, but then I thought...

[471.6] AndyRC: Like when you look in the distance and the quality just deteriorates the further you get,

[482.24] AndyRC: but when you look at them... So I did 2.7K60 with Hypersmooth,
[488.96] AndyRC: and it really washed out the Hero 7, even though it's great quality,
[494.08] AndyRC: but then just the extra details that were in the 8, I was impressed with it.
[500.96] AndyRC: But the 7's still a great camera.

[533.28] AndyRC: But I bought a Hero 6 just because really the real steady go
[539.44] AndyRC: only works with the Hero 6, unless you use loads of vibration damp and fly.
[547.76] AndyRC: You can't have any... You can't do any Acre or anything like that.

[556.48] AndyRC: But you're right, it probably is just to buy out the competition, isn't it?

[594.32] AndyRC: And so I don't know whether it's true, but anyways, run cam split for the win.

[603.84] AndyRC: Yeah, Hypersmooth, when you're doing professional stuff, as Tony does though,
[610.16] AndyRC: the Hypersmooth thing is a game chess.
[612.48] AndyRC: But I put just like a run cam five on one of those things,
[620.64] AndyRC: and it was shallow, they would shake it, unusable.
[624.64] AndyRC: You stick a hero on there and it's like, bloody hell,
[627.68] AndyRC: it's like you've just stuck a DSLR on the thing or all of a sudden.
[633.12] AndyRC: If you hover and fly still enough, it looks like a DJI gimbal.
[640.8] AndyRC: That's the idea of them, isn't it? To be like a Mavic Mini,
[645.04] AndyRC: except you've got the... And you can do Acro and do the pretend.
[649.12] AndyRC: Oh man, I got so much stick when I said that from the DJI crowd.
[653.44] AndyRC: Oh, Mavic Mini, it'd be so much better than one of these things.

[713.28] AndyRC: And he says, when you have in mind that you're going to be doing one of these shoots,

[723.04] AndyRC: He said, you can't, you have to think about flying in a different manner.

[729.6] AndyRC: The GoPro on those things, HyperSmooth on,

[735.44] AndyRC: Oh, man, I literally lasted about 30 seconds of flying steady before I was like,

[741.6] AndyRC: Let's do some flips and stuff.
[745.04] AndyRC: Yeah, pretty incredible, really.
[747.52] AndyRC: I did a video where I showed the DVR and then HyperSmooth,
[751.68] AndyRC: and the quad was bouncing like this,
[754.4] AndyRC: but you look at the GoPro footage and it just looks like it's tuned perfect, you know?
[760.48] Tony: Yeah, very, very good at what they do with that.

[765.92] Tony: Coming home with the GoPro 4 or whatever,

[790.96] AndyRC: I couldn't tell the difference, but that would be the case with MJ, but with me,

[796.88] AndyRC: Turns everybody into an amazing pilot, and it's a bit of a cheap really, but...

[1020.72] Curry: It's like, I mean, you wouldn't just have it for flying, would you?
[1024.0] Tony: No, don't buy one unless you're doing something for it.
[1029.04] AndyRC: Plus, everyone I've reviewed, people are like,
[1032.0] AndyRC: that I'd never buy that thing.
[1033.76] AndyRC: But I'm like, so why are there so many of them?
[1036.56] AndyRC: Like, there are budget ones coming out now.
[1040.8] AndyRC: I think there's one called the Something Cloud,
[1043.92] AndyRC: and even iFlight have brought one out called the Green Hornet,
[1049.04] AndyRC: which I think is cheaper.
[1052.16] AndyRC: But I think the reason why they're so expensive
[1054.8] AndyRC: is they have to have properly good components.
[1059.28] AndyRC: Otherwise, yes, these will burn out,
[1063.44] AndyRC: running that way, it's on a three inch.
[1066.64] AndyRC: So yeah, I wonder about the budget ones as well.
[1070.4] AndyRC: Because I'm thinking, everyone was commenting,
[1075.12] AndyRC: the camera costs more than the quad.
[1076.96] AndyRC: And I'm like, yeah, so wouldn't you want, you know,
[1080.8] AndyRC: reliable components rather than these cheaper ones

[1085.92] AndyRC: you know, that could fall out the sky and destroy the 350 quid,

[1102.4] Tony: I just fly it waist height, head height maybe, and that's it.

[1112.4] AndyRC: because it kind of looked like a shot from a DJI model.
[1117.44] AndyRC: Except then you can do a dive and a roll and a loop and stuff.
[1121.36] AndyRC: So, which is not what they're designed for.
[1124.48] AndyRC: But I think like you could do with something like that,
[1128.0] AndyRC: you could have the best of both worlds.
[1130.32] AndyRC: You could back out of, I don't know, a shop or something,

[1139.2] AndyRC: point down kind of thing, which I was thinking of this.

[2816.94] Curry: Plus I put this setting in where instead of having all the control as zero throttle
[2825.94] Curry: and all the way, that is zero throttle and you just use half the stick.
[2829.94] Curry: So your throttle always defaults back to zero, which is much easier.
[2833.94] Curry: But with the right rates, you can do it, but the right rates is quite gentle
[2839.94] Curry: and that doesn't lend itself well to trying to hurtle through a racecourse.
[2843.94] AndyRC: It also doesn't translate that well to actual flying
[2849.94] AndyRC: because unless you're flying 3D, your throttle doesn't start in the middle, does it?
[2854.94] Curry: So even if you can kind of ignore that, if you just let the throttle go back to
[2860.94] Curry: if you just pretend that's zero and you let the throttle fall back to zero,
[2864.94] Curry: I mean, you've got a tiny range which is why you need so much expo
[2869.94] Curry: and your rate has to be so high, so low doing it, but it's doable.
