=====================================

[0.0] Curry: Welcome to Let's Drone Out, the original and best drone themed podcast.
[5.2] Curry: We record the show live on the Thursday night on youtube.com forward slash Let's Drone
[9.56] Curry: Out and our lovely patrons help with the editing costs.
[12.56] (Patrons): These are Wacky Wes, Mikey Dread, Art Faulkner, Carlos Campos, thank you.
[20.24] Jack: Hello and welcome back to another episode of Let's Drone Out.
[54.55] Jack: Tonight we are joined by my little vegan sausage.
[58.87] Jack: Say hello in French if you are a little squirrel.
[65.79] BlueOwl: For sure.
[66.79] Jack: There we go.
[68.79] Jack: Everyone's favorite curry kitten.
[71.47] Jack: Hello.
[72.47] Jack: The lovely blue owl.
[73.99] BlueOwl: Hi.
[74.99] Jack: And our lord and master, Andrew Stashfrank.
[78.87] Frank: Good evening.
[80.03] Frank: I paid for the websites.
[81.27] Frank: The website stays up now.
[83.11] Jack: I only love late, it's fine.
[88.83] Jack: And and I'm bright until I fly.
[91.31] Jack: Hello.
[92.31] Jack: Do they still charge us for that extra month or did we somehow wiggle our way to get a
[96.35] Jack: free month?
[97.35] Jack: It's all right.
[98.35] Frank: They're fine with it.
[99.35] Frank: It's all good.
[101.35] Jack: It done.
[102.35] Jack: I don't know whether you want to talk about it, but the weird thing that it did with the
[108.19] Jack: taking of the money.
[109.35] Frank: Yeah, I'm still deep in conversation with PayPal at the moment about why they decided
[116.19] Frank: to take money out of my own bank account instead of the LDO PayPal account.
[121.35] Tony: Really?
[122.35] Tony: Yeah, sorry.
[123.35] Curry: I don't know any bank details.
[126.63] Curry: They will just say you've done something we don't like, we're taking money off you.
[130.55] Frank: Yeah, it's very odd.
[133.63] Frank: Maybe it's because everything pays us in dollars.
[138.39] Frank: And I tried to pay for something in pounds.
[140.95] Frank: And because therefore we didn't have any pounds on the LDO PayPal account, it decided we were
[145.51] Frank: broke and it would have to take the money from my personal account.
[148.03] Frank: It's not far off.
[150.03] Frank: We had all the dollars there.
[151.75] Curry: It's to say, oh, you've got a dollar account, shall I use this exchange rate?
[160.63] Frank: Because Wix don't accept paying by PayPal directly, I've used the LDO MasterCard that's
[167.75] Frank: connected to the PayPal account.
[172.2] Curry: This is how you run a money laundering operation of dummies.
[176.52] Frank: It's not going very well.
[178.52] Frank: Between LDO Mini Airshow and other projects that I do, PayPal are having to spend a lot
[184.48] Frank: of time making sure I'm not money laundering.
[186.68] Frank: It's very entertaining.
[187.68] Frank: It's very suspicious.
[188.68] Curry: And what do you do again?
[190.88] Curry: I talk about drones every week.
[192.52] Curry: Yeah.
[193.04] Curry: OK, that seems plausible, except we don't talk about drones every week, especially this
[198.4] Curry: week.
[198.96] Curry: Hands up.
[199.44] Curry: Anybody that's flown anything.
[201.68] Curry: Yes, hopefully you'll see him.
[205.76] Curry: Yeah, Sims count.
[206.64] Curry: That's good enough for me.
[207.76] Curry: Yeah, I did that as well, then.
[211.32] Jack: Is Bluehound the only person that hasn't done any kitty kittens?
[214.84] BlueOwl: That's that's yeah, I think I'm afraid that's true.
[218.6] BlueOwl: It's it's sad, guys.
[219.96] BlueOwl: But this is my plan for at least the beginning of 2021 to kind of make my FPV backpack more
[229.36] BlueOwl: city friendly.
[230.64] BlueOwl: I don't know how you guys do it when you live in a big city.
[235.56] BlueOwl: Yeah, maybe many of you know that I moved to Prague from a small French village and now I struggle
[243.28] BlueOwl: finding places to fly.
[246.12] BlueOwl: So, yes, you're trying to figure it out.
[248.56] BlueOwl: Oh, car parks.
[251.2] BlueOwl: Yeah, could do that.
[252.44] BlueOwl: Although it is problematic that I work with drones as well.
[257.12] BlueOwl: So breaking the law is not really much.
[261.36] BlueOwl: I have too much to lose.
[264.48] Frank: That's fair.
[267.92] Tony: And it's snowing there, isn't it?
[269.52] Tony: Because it is.
[271.8] BlueOwl: Yeah, it is almost every day.
[274.52] BlueOwl: So it's nice and slippery and it's a lot of fun.
[277.92] BlueOwl: Lots of snowmen on every corner.
[282.2] Tony: Which is nothing but rain down south.
[286.87] Tony: Right.
[288.87] Curry: Covid, that's all we've got going on right now.
[291.35] Curry: Yeah, let's get back to happy times.
[299.43] Frank: But in the UK, at least twice as many people have had at least one dose of the vaccine as
[303.87] Frank: currently have covid.
[304.95] Frank: So, you know, that's the right way around.
[308.59] Curry: That's good.
[309.19] Curry: But we seem to be very slow getting through the 80 year olds.
[311.63] Curry: We're only like not even 50 percent through yet.
[314.07] Curry: We have a lot of them.
[317.39] Curry: There's a lot to get through.
[319.39] Curry: Get on with it.
[319.95] Curry: I want my vaccine.
[321.67] Tony: Do you get like a membership?
[322.79] Tony: You know, they carry it.
[323.79] Tony: They even know you're an old boy.
[326.07] Jack: You know he's before me because he's older.
[329.39] Curry: I could if I only have to get to May and I'll be in the over 50s
[334.51] Curry: category.
[338.51] BlueOwl: You know what, I just have to I need over a month to be over, you know, over 30
[344.07] BlueOwl: categories.
[347.15] Tony: Can we get rid of that?
[350.67] BlueOwl: No, you can.
[353.55] BlueOwl: You can try.
[355.63] Frank: I'll just keep quiet, shall I?
[357.47] Frank: Yes.
[358.67] Jack: I don't know what I like.
[359.31] Jack: I don't know how harsh this thing ever.
[360.51] Jack: 20 or something.
[362.55] Tony: I've got six months till I'm 30.
[365.27] Tony: I remember my 30th party was brilliant.
[368.43] Tony: You can't remember anything.
[372.63] Tony: I remember that.
[374.91] Jack: Unless it's unless it's licking water off a car roof.
[380.39] Tony: I remember that as well.
[385.51] Tony: Jack, be careful.
[386.75] Curry: Is anybody getting on with anything vaguely drone or RC related?
[391.87] Curry: Is anybody doing any builds?
[393.31] Curry: Is anybody reorganizing their backpacks for city living?
[399.39] Curry: There's not an awful lot going on, is there?
[401.03] Curry: I've been doing inside videos featuring me looking at components and plugging them
[407.75] Curry: in occasionally.
[408.67] Curry: I had a beeper.
[409.59] Curry: That was exciting.
[410.99] Curry: I do like a beeper.
[412.63] Frank: You do like a beeper.
[413.87] Curry: But nothing, nothing too exciting.
[417.63] Curry: Nothing too exciting is going on right now.
[420.23] Frank: I'm clearing through my batteries, making sure to collect together any old ones to
[427.03] Frank: take to work.
[428.55] Frank: That's my plan.
[429.79] Tony: Well, when you leave, so it goes up.
[432.95] Frank: Well, there's a battery bin at work.
[435.55] Frank: I'm just going to leave more there.
[438.31] Frank: I don't know who's going to empty it, but it won't be my problem by that point.
[441.79] Frank: There we go.
[444.07] Frank: I'll send your batteries to Frank.
[447.99] Frank: That's Frank at work, London.
[453.87] Frank: Let's see the address.
[455.63] Frank: Um, yeah, no, that's, that's, but on, on the weekends, me and Tony, uh, on
[461.95] Frank: Saturday evening, uh, we dumped on a patron and did a little, uh, live stream of, of
[471.35] Frank: flying Curry's previous latest weather update.
[480.23] Curry: Yeah.
[481.07] Curry: Oh yeah.
[481.55] Curry: That's, that's what we had to talk to blue animal about, didn't we?
[483.95] Curry: Cause we tromed flying 65 degrees and we all think you're mental.
[492.31] BlueOwl: You're brilliant, right?
[493.59] Curry: It was brilliant for doing inverted your spins around the town, except for Tony.
[497.47] Frank: You can fly around the tower.
[501.95] Tony: Am I, no, you're still the right way up, but just flying around, if you want to
[509.87] Curry: hover or if you want to just fly, we just found our throttle was full and we kept
[516.31] Curry: dropping down and down and down.
[518.55] Curry: This is not, this is not working.
[521.63] Curry: This is wrong.
[522.55] BlueOwl: Yeah.
[523.19] BlueOwl: What was your impression though?
[524.51] BlueOwl: What was the first thing you thought?
[526.87] BlueOwl: Well, because many people think, and that was also my impression when I first tried
[535.83] BlueOwl: it is that even though you fly like a six S squad, it's, it's hugely underpowered.
[542.71] BlueOwl: You're just lacking power.
[544.67] Frank: Yeah, definitely.
[545.31] Frank: I mean, you'd notice that cause I mean, once you get over, you know, you just load
[549.39] Frank: in and you're like, Oh, the sky is very big and the ground is very small.
[553.63] Frank: Uh, and you're flying around and it all seems fine when you first take off and
[557.51] Frank: then you're flying towards something at your kind of usual angle and you're just
[560.39] Frank: falling and falling and falling.
[563.11] Frank: I'm from out throttle.
[564.51] Frank: I'm still falling.
[565.63] Frank: How do I go up?
[567.39] BlueOwl: Maybe you had like a 90 degree angle at 65.
[572.39] Frank: We would, we, we started at 65.
[575.07] Frank: We definitely did go up to the, the, the maximum that Currysim allows.
[580.19] Curry: I only had 70.
[581.79] Curry: I went slightly beyond what blue hour was having.
[584.15] Curry: Cause I thought no one, no one would go beyond that.
[586.11] Curry: That's stupid.
[587.15] Curry: I didn't need to do maybe it needs more practice.
[590.15] Curry: I did manage to do like the biggest power loop in the world.
[593.35] Curry: Cause it felt like you could fly upside down for a long time.
[596.79] BlueOwl: Yeah.
[597.07] BlueOwl: No, but power loops are great in high teal over the city and back round again.
[601.71] BlueOwl: Although it didn't, but power loops are great on the high teal.
[607.31] BlueOwl: I love them.
[608.03] BlueOwl: I don't like flying par loops on low teal because I still try to maintain both the
[613.11] BlueOwl: low teal and the high teal so that I can fly in all the places, but par loops on
[618.47] BlueOwl: low teal, you just can't see anything.
[620.91] BlueOwl: And on high teal you can follow the tree or whatever you're flying around all the
[625.27] BlueOwl: time, you can see the, um, the object all the time, which is great.
[630.43] BlueOwl: It's so relaxing.
[632.27] BlueOwl: It just flies very fast, but it's great.
[635.79] Tony: Yeah, it's very odd.
[640.39] Curry: 15 degrees, which is like slow motion all the time.
[646.79] BlueOwl: Yeah.
[646.99] Frank: And that was another thing we tried, uh, was going down to like zero degrees.
[652.11] Frank: And, uh, Tony was getting us doing, I can't remember who, who, who would
[657.15] Frank: copy it?
[658.39] Tony: Cricket.
[658.95] Tony: He flies at naught degree angle.
[661.11] Tony: So he's just flat.
[662.87] Tony: And we were flying up to the crane with the holes in it and trying to just go up
[667.07] Tony: and then, you know, slip backwards through it.
[671.51] Tony: And we played hide and seek.
[672.87] Tony: That was quite fun.
[674.67] Tony: Hide and seek.
[675.51] Tony: How does that work?
[677.35] Tony: Oh, we go at one person goes and hides.
[680.87] Tony: Okay.
[681.35] Tony: We wanted to go and find them.
[684.79] Curry: You discovered the radar screen and where it shows you have a position.
[687.59] Curry: I didn't tell Tony about that.
[689.15] Tony: Um, I stopped my viewing as well.
[695.39] Tony: I've stopped the, um, the, uh, my view that I could see to play.
[701.11] Tony: I was playing it properly.
[702.51] Tony: What do you mean?
[703.19] Tony: You were cheating as well.
[707.03] Frank: That would do it.
[708.39] Frank: Cause I was like, Oh, this would be funny if I can do it and Tony can't, but
[711.07] Frank: then Tony did it.
[711.63] Frank: I was like, Oh, okay.
[712.47] Frank: I have to turn the radar off now.
[714.95] Tony: Yeah.
[718.71] BlueOwl: Did you play a game of quad or whatever that's called when you have to
[723.59] BlueOwl: copy each other, each other's.
[725.99] BlueOwl: We should have done that.
[727.55] Frank: We didn't, we were, we were more focused on like both trying to do the same thing.
[733.67] Frank: I mean, cause we were like trying to do like the, the, the high tilt, um, tricks.
[739.23] Frank: Um, or, uh, or like the trick through
[743.91] Frank: the crane flying through the building, that kind of thing.
[747.59] Frank: Uh, we weren't doing a kind of formalized KWAD or whatever, but we
[754.39] Curry: should next time we played the philosophy with, uh, Andy and everybody else.
[761.23] Curry: We did it, didn't we?
[762.91] Curry: Hmm.
[764.15] Curry: I don't think we formalized it, but we did like, let's copy, name
[767.83] Curry: the trick and then copy it.
[768.87] Curry: Yeah.
[770.43] Jack: I think that's still one of my highest few clips on Twitch.
[777.35] Curry: He got upset about that one because you shared it with.
[780.63] Curry: All right.
[781.67] Jack: Oh no, poor little sausage.
[785.87] Jack: He can't help it.
[787.15] Tony: Well, I can safely say I'm glad the V2 goggles from DJI are not that V2-y.
[795.23] Curry: No, it sounds like someone's deleted the one if they had a V1 and just, I think
[802.63] Curry: Andy made a video about it, didn't he?
[803.95] Curry: Just put a little two sticker on it and that seems pretty much the difference.
[808.19] Curry: It's just the frame rate, isn't it?
[810.99] Frank: Uh, I think it's slightly higher resolution or something.
[816.11] Tony: Slightly, I think there was a built-in battery and there's a built-in
[822.39] Tony: battery or something.
[824.39] Curry: Well, you can have a higher, bigger SD card you can put in it.
[829.91] Jack: Has anyone seen the, uh, comedy central sketch?
[835.43] Jack: I don't know how much we can play, but I've got it saved.
[839.35] Jack: I thought maybe we could talk about it.
[841.87] Jack: If, um, if any of you guys want to, the, uh, it's not very, it's still what?
[854.92] Frank: Pardon Frank.
[856.24] Frank: Is this about the, the drone drug dealer?
[859.56] BlueOwl: Yes.
[861.8] Jack: I thought maybe we could like scroll through it a bit.
[867.52] Jack: So some guy in like California or something, right.
[873.32] Jack: And he's, he's made, he's made his own little job.
[878.48] Jack: But yeah, set up.
[881.08] Jack: This isn't real FAA.
[882.64] Jack: So, uh, show your tits.
[885.28] Jack: But, uh, he's even put like, you know, the, the weed, like sticker on his,
[891.92] Jack: on his DJI goggles, um, what else is there?
[896.8] Jack: And he, he's got a lot, man.
[898.76] Jack: He's got like the mini, like little three inch.
[901.6] Jack: Um, it's got some sort of acid dispensing, like when you're, you're
[908.8] Jack: bored of your friends, I like, even though obviously you got mouth
[913.72] Jack: contact with the, the, the, the doobie.
[917.4] Jack: And then the guy opens the mask with a zip.
[921.88] Jack: So it looks like, and he's even got a shield on his, on his eyes,
[925.44] Jack: which is quite funny.
[928.81] Tony: I haven't seen that.
[929.61] Tony: I don't have to watch that.
[930.81] Jack: Yeah.
[931.73] Jack: And I even like delivers her some, some mushrooms and a bubble machine to calm,
[939.69] Jack: to calm his neighbor.
[945.89] Jack: I don't know whether that's a good look for us drone users, but, uh,
[952.33] Jack: it was, it was somewhat amusing.
[957.73] Frank: Said he tried it with a toy cord and burnt his mate's couch.
[961.57] Jack: Oh dear.
[962.61] Jack: Yeah, but yeah, they had everything like the woop, everything.
[967.61] Jack: You can't post weed, even in legal states.
[971.33] Jack: No way.
[971.81] Jack: Join racer.
[973.37] Jack: I did not, I did not know that.
[975.49] Jack: So what about, yeah.
[978.53] Jack: I mean, I've done catnip post it, but can you transport it by drive?
[983.49] Jack: The trouble is, you know, that ingenious idea I had about like, let's
[987.41] Jack: put it in little baggies from the leftover electronics and like, carry it
[990.93] Jack: around with me, well, last night, me and Corey were playing game and I forgot
[995.13] Jack: salvia is a type of men.
[996.89] Jack: So they'll probably arrest me thinking it's salvia.
[999.77] Jack: So I am not going to do that.
[1005.09] Tony: Have you been outside though, Jack?
[1007.33] Jack: No, of course not.
[1009.09] Jack: I'm too afraid to even recycle.
[1013.69] Tony: You get arrested every time you leave a criminal out the window.
[1020.57] Tony: Can't you fly or rubbish out the window?
[1023.73] Frank: I feel like sometimes drone powered recycling.
[1028.69] Jack: Well, I might make a little garbage chute out of my window with recycling.
[1036.21] Jack: I cut the bottles open and make a big tube and you feed it all down to the.
[1042.33] Tony: That would work.
[1044.45] Tony: We really, we really haven't got anything to talk about.
[1048.05] Curry: The other drone story, another negative one, because I have to say that
[1058.37] Curry: Comedy Central was quite fun, that it was the what was it?
[1061.89] Curry: Some paper saying drones could be the new way of terrorism, basically.
[1068.33] Curry: So we have all this stuff like coming from the Middle East, incredible,
[1073.73] Curry: credible threats that drones can now be fitted out with bombs.
[1077.53] Curry: Frank is looking like he's frozen.
[1080.49] Curry: He's like really scared.
[1081.85] Curry: You haven't had the display or anything, but it's just, I don't know why they've
[1087.05] Curry: suddenly gone, let's go a bit scaremonger-y because there's not enough in the
[1090.77] Curry: world to deal with.
[1091.97] Curry: We should tell people if they ever recover from COVID and get together, we're
[1095.57] Curry: going to drop like dirty bombs on them from TGI's now.
[1100.81] Frank: And not Jack's got a dirty bombs over.
[1104.09] Frank: That would be worse.
[1105.53] Frank: I'd tend to feel a bit of a fallout though, Jack's fallout.
[1112.33] Jack: So, so I've got this article from two days ago.
[1117.21] Jack: So the Mail Online police launched a probe after drone crashes near
[1121.21] Jack: Chepsilfield Race School during Welsh, Welsh National, Grand National Meeting.
[1129.53] Jack: So, yeah.
[1131.53] Frank: Does it really matter?
[1132.57] Frank: They can't do anything anyway, can they?
[1134.93] Jack: No, I don't think so, but that's it.
[1138.01] Jack: That's that's all they said.
[1140.25] Jack: Operator is not allowed to fly drones over race courses.
[1144.05] Frank: Well, obviously the one I think I stuck on Discord a while ago of like an A320
[1153.73] Frank: almost being taken out by a balloon.
[1156.89] Frank: Yeah, that wasn't in like these papers anywhere.
[1162.49] Frank: But that was like pretty, pretty extreme.
[1168.13] Frank: If I can work out where.
[1170.85] Curry: Did the rules say you're not allowed to fly over race courses?
[1173.57] Curry: Because it's normally you can't fly over crowds.
[1175.57] Curry: And surely there aren't any crowds at the moment because it's all, no one's there.
[1181.13] Curry: It's like you can fly over football stadiums at the moment and you're not risking
[1184.13] Curry: anybody but 22 overpaid people running around a green pitch.
[1187.97] Tony: Surely they need to have a drone smashed in.
[1192.89] Jack: Is that the round shape or the egg shape or?
[1197.25] Curry: I'm not sure.
[1197.77] Curry: The round one pays more.
[1199.21] Frank: You've lost me in the technicalities of sport now.
[1206.41] Jack: But yeah, I just have you done, Frank, have you done anything
[1210.05] Jack: regards the new law or anything?
[1213.21] Jack: Have you read anything?
[1213.85] Frank: I still haven't got around to reading anything.
[1216.49] Frank: Like I get around to it at some point.
[1220.13] Frank: It's not going to happen for a while.
[1222.89] Frank: I've got multiple people who have been asked me.
[1225.45] Frank: Painless has been asked me.
[1226.73] Frank: Winter blue has been asked me.
[1228.73] Frank: Other people have been getting in touch, asking me to go on and like talk about stuff.
[1233.05] Frank: And I haven't read it.
[1234.33] Frank: I don't know anything.
[1235.73] Frank: Don't ask me.
[1237.29] Tony: Oh, come on.
[1238.01] Curry: What happens when you set yourself up as the only person willing to read all that?
[1242.41] Curry: And you can pop into some sort of plain English.
[1244.61] Tony: Too much.
[1247.49] Frank: Yeah.
[1248.41] Tony: Come on, you're the translator.
[1250.25] Frank: I know I've really screwed that one up, haven't I?
[1256.77] Jack: Is it because you're more you're more interested in like the new project we're working on?
[1263.73] Frank: Oh, you know, I'm just a bit busy with completely recreating every part of my life from scratch.
[1272.33] Frank: That's that's keeping me quite busy.
[1275.09] BlueOwl: Yeah, after it's done.
[1279.33] Frank: Yeah, exactly.
[1281.65] Frank: And it's not leaving a lot of time for reading the minutiae of every document that's being released by the CIA and Yaza and BMFA and FTVK.
[1296.13] Frank: New year, new Frank.
[1297.57] Frank: Read yourself.
[1300.61] Tony: We think it takes a sip of a massive drink.
[1303.85] Curry: Can we talk about this?
[1305.09] Curry: We thought about talking about it the other day, didn't we?
[1307.81] Curry: The linchpin drone.
[1310.17] Curry: I don't think anything's happened.
[1311.77] Frank: Yeah, yeah, this is the guy who's done it.
[1314.61] Curry: He's actually done it, has he?
[1315.85] Frank: Someone's done it.
[1316.49] Frank: Yeah, it looks amazing.
[1319.69] Jack: I will see if I can find it.
[1321.57] Jack: Is this the 3D model printed malarkey drone or is that, you know, that's in the weird shape?
[1329.93] Curry: It's yeah, the one it's the special shape.
[1334.33] Curry: The reason the reason I want to talk about a weeks ago was the fact that that Terrence guy is literally the looniest man in the world.
[1343.57] Curry: If you actually read his document that he produced, he wrote a 300 page book.
[1349.65] Curry: I used the word loosely about how the square of one is to that is not a metaphor.
[1356.21] Curry: He actually thinks that how straight lines don't exist.
[1360.33] Curry: And I don't even think he thinks that reindeer are real, because in one of his statements, he talks about.
[1367.09] Curry: I have to say that Santa's not real and reindeer and in brackets, elk, like he thinks reindeer are some sort of elk in disguise.
[1374.17] Curry: He's just out there.
[1377.05] Curry: He's like, amaze me.
[1378.49] Curry: If you read even five pages of that document, you'll get stupider.
[1383.17] Jack: The cat are lions that haven't grown up yet.
[1390.45] BlueOwl: I'm thinking that Tony would find this.
[1393.57] BlueOwl: Yeah, I want to go.
[1395.33] Curry: Kindred spirit there, Tony, if you can read his document.
[1397.85] Tony: I have to see if I can get his book on.
[1401.29] Tony: Shall I game on?
[1402.01] Jack: One times one equals two.
[1403.81] Jack: That's right, Tony.
[1405.45] Jack: And the earth is flat.
[1407.09] Jack: Hang on, let me just get the old tin foil hat on the go.
[1412.41] Curry: What I want to know from him, if he thinks one times one is two, then what is two times one equal?
[1417.65] Curry: Because surely it must be three.
[1420.93] Curry: It is.
[1424.97] BlueOwl: What is this?
[1426.41] BlueOwl: This is impressive stuff.
[1427.77] Curry: So have we got the details of this?
[1430.25] Curry: Has somebody produced their own firmware and everything and new controllers?
[1435.61] Jack: So it flies into what we're looking at.
[1437.97] Frank: So it's a modification of autopilot that's got the six degrees of freedom built into it.
[1445.89] Frank: So we can control differently which way it's moving versus which way it's oriented.
[1452.73] Frank: So we can change the direction and keep the same place or change direction as it's flying around or stay the same orientation and move it in whichever direction you want.
[1464.89] Frank: And yeah, it's pretty cool.
[1467.41] Curry: That is definitely impressive.
[1468.69] Curry: I always thought it was when I first saw the original video that came up, I thought it was,
[1474.37] Curry: oh, as an exercise in like an intellectual thing, can you get this flying?
[1477.81] Curry: I thought it was quite interesting.
[1479.05] Curry: It was just the fact that this guy is clearly lunatic and he believes that shape is the only real true shape and everything else is made up.
[1486.09] Curry: But some guy has done really well because you can see that transforming for all its access and then just flying as it wants.
[1492.93] Curry: The only problem I had with that competition is Terrence was talking about like, we don't just want to give you the money.
[1498.65] Curry: We want to partner with you.
[1499.69] Curry: It's like, jeez, if I have to meet him, I don't want the money because I don't want to be sucked into that crazy world he lives in.
[1505.45] Curry: That would be bad.
[1506.53] BlueOwl: That's the whole point.
[1508.05] BlueOwl: You don't want to what I'm thinking, if people manage to make it fly, then maybe one times one equals two.
[1514.81] BlueOwl: But we just all rock.
[1517.81] Curry: We're all so stupid.
[1521.89] Curry: All this thing based on original maths that works, if he could just show it working, if he uses his new formula, nicely done.
[1530.45] Frank: Yeah, the guy who did it, whose YouTube channel is Mr. Lampeat, he's done quite a bit with R2Pilot and R2Rover with like sales and sailing and all kinds of stuff that he's done.
[1548.81] Frank: Stuff with like VR tracking to built into like the R2Pilot controls and all kinds of weird stuff.
[1558.29] Frank: So, yeah, definitely an interesting channel to have a look at.
[1562.41] Frank: Maybe we should get him on at some point.
[1564.41] Curry: Yeah, we should see if he's inducted into Terrence's scary culture.
[1573.29] Curry: No, I'm not talking to that guy.
[1578.09] Curry: He frightens me.
[1579.57] Curry: Is he in any films and stuff?
[1582.29] Curry: Apparently, yeah, he was in Empire.
[1584.73] Curry: He was an actor in that.
[1587.01] Curry: I never watched, but it's apparently a big series.
[1591.57] Tony: That's impressive.
[1592.57] Tony: They got that flying.
[1593.57] Tony: What?
[1594.17] Tony: Yeah, it's pretty good.
[1595.45] Tony: Looks almost UFO like, doesn't it?
[1597.85] Tony: Oh, my God.
[1599.77] Tony: How the hell?
[1602.29] Curry: Well, that must be the type of thing about it, because the idea is you have to fly it completely.
[1606.25] Curry: You can't fly it with really two sticks because you need another one for the other axis translation.
[1611.41] Curry: And then no matter what axis it's in, if you want to go up, left, sideways, it all has to work, doesn't it?
[1617.69] Curry: So it was mostly like really clever code.
[1620.33] Jack: Have you got three sticks?
[1623.21] Curry: Yeah, I don't understand why it has to be that shape, other than see previous covers about Terrence being a prize lunatic, but that's it.
[1632.49] Frank: I think the idea is it's the minimum number of, the configuration with the minimum number of motors to have full authority in every direction, in every orientation,
[1644.25] Frank: and it for it to be.
[1647.09] Curry: Oh, yeah, there is that, but he thinks the shape is mystical.
[1651.29] Jack: No, not like those pyramid people.
[1655.65] Jack: Oh, no.
[1657.85] BlueOwl: Jack, why are you hating the pyramid people?
[1661.57] Jack: It's their mental.
[1664.69] Jack: That's all I can say.
[1666.25] BlueOwl: What is all this judging?
[1668.73] Jack: So, look, if there was a whole episode of MythBusters on why you're an idiot, then you're an idiot, basically.
[1681.81] Frank: This episode was recorded in front of a live online audience, downloaded and edited to make sense when it played audio only, censored to please the iTunes people, hosted on the internet,
[1691.41] Frank: forwarded through to your podcast provider, downloaded, playing on your device and is now playing in your ears.
[1697.01] Frank: All thanks to our Patreons.
[1699.17] Frank: Consider joining them and you'll also get other online benefits.
[1702.53] Frank: Find out more at patreon.com forward slash.
[1705.65] Frank: Let's drone out.
[1707.29] Frank: So what inspired you, Kerry, to do the weather, weather, weather effects in your beta for your simulator?
[1715.01] Curry: Because I thought it would be interesting to try and fly in the conditions we're more used to, which is generally not bright sunlight on a very clear day.
[1730.21] Curry: So I thought it'd be easy to do night, but I found some stuff about how I could just move the sun and often we fly with the sun in our faces.
[1738.77] Curry: And then if we had a bit of atmospheric effect to it, then we get a sort of fogging as it goes.
[1743.65] Curry: And that kind of that kind of works, I think.
[1747.45] Curry: I'm just trying to work out exactly how much more resources it's taken up the moment.
[1753.29] Curry: Caroline just posted in to say the frame rate dropped too much on her one.
[1757.69] Curry: So it's going to be sort of a little tick box you can have or not, I think.
[1762.57] Curry: But also, because I can't draw or anything, it's a way of making the graphics look better without me doing anything that just changes all the lighting.
[1772.25] Curry: And I didn't do anything. And I showed you that sunrise picture.
[1778.37] Curry: I posted it on our Facebook group and it looked really nice and I didn't do anything.
[1781.89] Curry: I just put the sun in a different position.
[1784.61] Curry: Look at what happens. It works really well.
[1787.77] Tony: Well, I don't know why we will be having batteries on there next, so they run out.
[1792.49] Curry: People asked me if I could. People said, could you make it so we lose signal?
[1799.17] Curry: I was like, yeah, I could just put something on it.
[1801.49] Curry: It's like it's a fail-safe and it drops out of the sky.
[1804.29] Curry: But I didn't think that would be very exciting.
[1807.61] Jack: Can you have an online mode where it just falls out of the sky randomly?
[1813.81] Curry: Yeah, we can do spectrum mode where you just like glitches.
[1818.25] Tony: And it goes three seconds away.
[1820.37] Curry: We can make it go all snowy.
[1822.77] Curry: We can try doing a DJI, lose the picture where it just freezes.
[1826.97] Curry: Oh, God. But you can still hear it.
[1830.53] Frank: I did still have a couple of instances where it, for some reason, would reset me and I don't know why.
[1839.25] Frank: I'd just be flying along and all of a sudden find myself back on the map and I'm like, oh, that's odd.
[1847.61] Curry: I did have to change some code after I was testing the weather and I got hit by lightning and it broke the quad and it fell out of the sky.
[1856.05] Curry: I would have left in there if it was a more exciting effect, but you just hear this noise and then you go plump on the floor.
[1862.13] Curry: So I decided to ignore the fact.
[1864.41] Jack: Who's playing with the clinky thing?
[1866.61] Tony: Oh, sorry, that was me, mate. Can you guess what the sound is?
[1871.21] Tony: Annoying?
[1872.01] Tony: Pen?
[1873.05] Tony: Pen?
[1873.97] Tony: Come on, you must.
[1875.69] Tony: Anyone who flies?
[1878.85] Frank: Or a switch on your terenis?
[1883.86] Curry: Oh, the trim switch on your terenis.
[1888.14] Curry: Also known as the switches that shall not be touched.
[1891.14] Tony: Sorry, I didn't mean that wrong to me.
[1895.26] Jack: Have you done anything about the awful colour of your sticks?
[1899.5] Tony: No, they're awfully awful green.
[1902.22] Jack: Can you redo them, please, whilst they're not flying?
[1905.58] Jack: They're so awful.
[1907.14] Frank: Show them. Let's see what's going on about.
[1909.86] Jack: They're like...
[1913.58] Tony: Army green.
[1915.02] Jack: They're Action Man's oldest pants colour.
[1919.22] Tony: They're not that bad.
[1921.1] Jack: They're horrible.
[1922.46] Jack: Dave's pants?
[1924.82] Jack: Yeah.
[1926.18] Tony: I didn't want some of this colour, I asked for a nice hen and ice green, but...
[1932.3] Tony: That's what come back and I couldn't be bothered to say, that looks... mate, can you do it again?
[1937.86] Frank: It's a very military green, isn't it?
[1940.14] Tony: Yeah.
[1940.98] Frank: I think you were probably expecting more of an electric green.
[1943.78] Tony: Yes, I did show him what I wanted, but...
[1947.66] Frank: Colour is very difficult, to be fair.
[1950.5] Frank: Yeah.
[1952.66] Frank: There's a reason people spend a lot of money on Pantone.
[1956.86] Tony: Can they get this colour off and go over it easy or not?
[1961.98] Jack: Yes.
[1963.9] Tony: 100%.
[1964.98] Tony: I might do it again.
[1965.74] Jack: The only colour you can't have with anodisation is white, I believe.
[1969.66] Jack: Because the particles are too small.
[1971.78] Tony: OK.
[1973.62] Tony: Well, I might just have it blue.
[1976.66] Jack: Anything than that is so bad.
[1979.18] Jack: I feel sorry for your transmitter.
[1981.9] Jack: It's like it's had its nipples ripped off and stapled back on after a week of peeing left.
[1987.62] Curry: Firstly, we're getting some comments about GoPro and ProTune being removed.
[1993.98] Curry: Is this... because I'm too lazy to do it, I just stick it into 1080p 60 and film it.
[2000.62] Curry: Is this just removed in the app or is it going in the actual camera as well?
[2004.22] Curry: Have they updated the firmware to remove it?
[2007.02] Curry: Because obviously a lot of more pro people rely on ProTune a lot.
[2012.22] Curry: Not me, too lazy.
[2014.74] Curry: Just waiting for the replies there.
[2017.9] Curry: So far, just removed from the app.
[2019.7] Curry: But it could happen, they could update the firmware and do all sorts of nasties.
[2022.94] Curry: What a strange move.
[2024.42] Curry: Hi, there's GoPro, we want to make it less good.
[2027.62] Curry: So we're going to update the app so you can't do stuff.
[2031.02] Tony: Bit odd.
[2032.14] Tony: I see that they've also done some experimental stuff with it.
[2038.82] Tony: It's they're using the...
[2042.98] Tony: What do you call it? Let's play!
[2045.5] Tony: Dementia!
[2047.18] Tony: What's a thing called where you turn your phone that way and then that way?
[2052.5] Tony: What's it called in your phone?
[2054.62] Frank: Landscape portrait.
[2056.78] Tony: Yeah, that's what makes it do that.
[2059.46] Tony: Accelerometer.
[2061.66] Tony: There you go, didn't take long, did it?
[2064.26] Tony: Anyway, in the lab bit of GoPro, they're using that.
[2071.46] Tony: You can experiment with that, so you can use it as a dash cam and stuff like that.
[2074.98] Tony: So when it wobbles, it turns on.
[2077.58] Tony: So if you got hit, it would record it or something.
[2080.7] Tony: And then I thought that might work for us.
[2082.78] Tony: If we fly and take off, it turns the quad on and any vibrational movement,
[2088.46] Tony: it will keep recording.
[2090.58] Tony: And then when you land and stop, it turns off itself.
[2093.46] Tony: Don't know if it would work or not, but it might be a good idea to try it.
[2100.18] Curry: You could just use the voice commands, I suppose.
[2103.46] Tony: Yeah, but you have to speak in an American accent.
[2107.14] Tony: I'll never get it to work.
[2108.3] Tony: Oh, Mike, turn!
[2109.9] Tony: Where your cowboy hat and listen to you.
[2111.94] Tony: Put your cowboy hat and go, yee-haw, turn on his wank, Lee.
[2117.9] Curry: The guys are making good points here with ProTune, where it's OK if you've got like,
[2122.06] Curry: you know, GoPro 7 or whatever with a screen.
[2124.18] Curry: But if you're on a GoPro 5, then you haven't got all those options easily available.
[2129.38] Curry: And that's where you need the app.
[2132.18] Curry: And then she can't, so you're screwed.
[2136.16] Curry: Yep.
[2136.84] Curry: Boo, GoPro.
[2137.96] Curry: GoPro seems to be, they've been losing the plot for a long time.
[2141.0] Curry: I think they sort of said with the GoPro 9, we're not interested in drone pilots.
[2146.16] Curry: Go away, and Insta360 seems to be trying to come up to take their place.
[2151.2] Curry: Not quite there yet, but they seem to be getting further along.
[2154.32] Curry: They seem to be pro-drone anyway, don't they?
[2156.52] Frank: Yeah, I think after the karma, maybe there's just like the board of directors where
[2163.84] Frank: any time the word drone is mentioned, they just get very angry, very angry.
[2168.28] Tony: They just get a bit of karma, don't they?
[2170.48] Tony: So, yeah.
[2174.84] Curry: Has anyone from Andy Orsey got an SMO camera?
[2177.36] Curry: What's an SMO camera?
[2179.4] Frank: SMO.
[2181.48] Curry: I don't know.
[2182.72] Curry: We don't know.
[2183.52] Frank: We don't know what SMO means, Robin.
[2186.56] Frank: Let us know, and maybe we can answer.
[2189.76] Frank: Naked Insta360 is SMO.
[2193.2] Frank: What?
[2194.2] Frank: The name for a Naked Insta360 is SMO.
[2198.28] Frank: Oh, I did not know that.
[2201.16] Curry: No, I mean, I assumed painless would have one.
[2203.8] Curry: I got a package from beta360 over Christmas, and it turned out to be budget FPV goggles
[2210.08] Curry: to review, which isn't quite as exciting.
[2212.48] Curry: But, you know, I understand my level in the pecking order.
[2215.88] Frank: This is the beta FPV, and Insta360, they've got together and made a kind of pre-Nakedified
[2226.16] Frank: Apparently called a SMO.
[2228.16] Curry: Apparently called a SMO.
[2229.16] Curry: I like SMO as a word.
[2232.16] Curry: It's like someone gave up what the word was halfway through and just SMO.
[2236.16] Tony: Yes.
[2237.16] Curry: That'll do.
[2238.16] Tony: It's the sort of thing I wanted, but I think it's like 450 quid once you've got it here.
[2246.96] Curry: You did put in an order for that Naked GoPro 7, didn't you, Tony?
[2250.16] Curry: It didn't happen.
[2251.16] Curry: Are you still wanting to get something like it, or what?
[2254.16] Tony: I've still seen Andy R.C.'s stuff on it.
[2258.16] Tony: I wasn't overly impressed on the quality.
[2261.16] Curry: It doesn't have the nice sort of internal fixing or the little wobbles like the GoPro does, does it?
[2268.16] Tony: No.
[2269.16] Tony: That's why I haven't done anything yet.
[2272.16] Tony: But I don't know.
[2275.16] Tony: Still don't know.
[2277.16] Tony: I think I prefer the Naked Hero, to be fair.
[2286.76] Tony: But at least there is a company, like you say, going in the right direction.
[2291.76] Curry: If they keep going and sort the stuff out how we want it to, it could look good if they want it to work with us.
[2299.76] Curry: And it sounds like they are.
[2300.76] Curry: It's like, hey, we've produced one that's super low weight.
[2304.76] Curry: In fact, if someone asked me a question about Beater FPV, actually, the other day,
[2309.76] Curry: and saying, should I get the Beater 85 HD?
[2312.76] Curry: And they've completely scrapped all their traditional HD quads.
[2318.76] Curry: And all they've got now is their smoke cameras on there, or having the DJI-compatible stuff.
[2327.76] Curry: What are we looking at there?
[2329.76] Tony: I think it's Unman-Tex.
[2333.76] Tony: 199.
[2334.76] Tony: Showing the Beater stuff.
[2336.76] Tony: So obviously there's some in England now.
[2339.76] Tony: There's all the stuff that I was ordering.
[2341.76] Tony: I was looking at, it was all China.
[2344.76] Curry: It's slightly cheaper than 400 quid.
[2347.76] Tony: No, it was 450 with the drone and the naked camera, or the smoke.
[2355.76] Tony: I wanted both at the same time.
[2359.76] Tony: I could get the naked hero and stick it on something, a little bit.
[2363.76] Tony: I don't know.
[2366.76] Tony: Anyway.
[2368.76] Curry: I suppose that you haven't got much work on at the moment in terms of professional drone pilots.
[2373.76] Tony: No, I haven't had any jobs come in yet.
[2378.76] Tony: I'm hoping this COVID and weather will change and it'll start to happen.
[2384.76] Tony: But I've got to wait for them 80-year-olds to get jabbed up.
[2389.76] Tony: Then we're allowed out.
[2394.68] Tony: If it snows here, I'm going to go for a fly somewhere.
[2398.68] Tony: I have to go on your own.
[2401.96] Curry: And don't forget, you're not allowed to enjoy it if it's exercise.
[2404.96] Curry: It's going to be work.
[2406.96] Curry: It's just exercise.
[2407.96] Curry: So that's a problem for you because you have to sit down to fly and that's not exercising.
[2412.96] Frank: If he's doing it for work, then it's fine.
[2415.96] Tony: Yes.
[2417.96] Curry: Could be for work.
[2419.96] Tony: Or I hiked there and then sat down.
[2422.96] Curry: No, because that's leisure.
[2424.96] Curry: If you're sitting down, it's leisure, you have to keep hiking.
[2427.96] Curry: If you take a small stationary bike with you and keep your legs moving whilst you're sat down flying, that would probably be OK.
[2433.96] Curry: Whilst charging your next battery.
[2435.96] Curry: Yeah, that works.
[2437.96] Tony: A little down low there.
[2439.96] Tony: Window cleaning by drone, Wind Davis says.
[2443.96] Tony: I have actually seen a window cleaning drone in China.
[2447.96] Tony: It looked pretty good.
[2449.96] Curry: You should definitely try that.
[2450.96] Curry: Just have a word with one of your clients.
[2452.96] Curry: I'm just doing a comedy skit.
[2454.96] Curry: I might break a couple of windows.
[2455.96] Curry: Don't worry.
[2456.96] Curry: It'll be fine.
[2457.96] Curry: See what will happen.
[2458.96] Curry: I think we should do it in an aggressive way.
[2460.96] Curry: Just tie a sponge to the front of one and smash into the windows.
[2463.96] Curry: Let's keep doing that.
[2465.96] Curry: Let's clean.
[2467.96] Tony: It's clean because there's nothing there.
[2470.96] Curry: There's no window there.
[2472.96] Curry: It's so clear.
[2473.96] Curry: It's so clear.
[2475.96] Curry: Just don't worry about the shards everywhere.
[2476.96] Curry: That's OK.
[2479.96] Tony: Oh, man.
[2481.96] Tony: I need to go fly.
[2482.96] Tony: I haven't flown for a while, apart from flying on your sim for about, I don't know, two weeks probably.
[2489.96] Tony: I haven't done any testing, any more testing on the seven inch long range stuff.
[2497.96] Curry: I suppose we could do some whooping.
[2499.96] Curry: There's no excuse for not whooping, is there?
[2502.96] Tony: There is for me, and I haven't got a whoop.
[2504.96] Tony: I have, but it's not working.
[2507.96] Tony: We need a new camera and stuff.
[2509.96] Curry: That's bad.
[2510.96] Curry: If you can't get Danny over, how are you going to get things fixed?
[2513.96] Tony: Well, he's downstairs in the cupboards.
[2517.96] Curry: I know.
[2518.96] Tony: You have to keep your distance.
[2520.96] Tony: Oh, I know.
[2521.96] Tony: I've drilled a bigger hole so I can hand stuff through now.
[2526.96] Curry: Robin makes a good point about tidying their house for a bit of whooping.
[2529.96] Curry: If I have to film a video around my house, like Hoover, I have to tidy stuff up.
[2534.96] Curry: I have to shut off all the rooms that I'm not allowed to look into.
[2537.96] Curry: It's not of effort.
[2539.96] BlueOwl: That's suddenly a big project.
[2542.96] Curry: Yeah.
[2543.96] BlueOwl: Not just a little flight.
[2546.96] Tony: It could fly out the windows and back in the windows.
[2550.96] Curry: I do like to open my conservatory drawer and go out.
[2552.96] Curry: I invariably then crash in the wetness outside and have to take off my goggles
[2556.96] Curry: and go and find it again, which is a pain.
[2559.96] Tony: Yeah.
[2560.96] BlueOwl: Crashing is not very good.
[2563.96] BlueOwl: I was just going to say I live on the fifth floor.
[2566.96] BlueOwl: So if I crash, it's going to be a long way to go.
[2571.96] Curry: If you can sort of make friends with the people below you,
[2574.96] Curry: imagine the fun you can have flying out, back in, back up the internal.
[2579.96] Curry: I know.
[2581.96] BlueOwl: Do you know what?
[2582.96] BlueOwl: The old blocks in Prague, they are kind of like donuts.
[2586.96] BlueOwl: So you have like a, I don't know what you call it, a garden or a backyard.
[2591.96] Curry: You've got like an interior.
[2593.96] BlueOwl: Yes.
[2594.96] BlueOwl: And then you can fly over the roof.
[2596.96] BlueOwl: Basically, you can go through the full apartment, which is quite long,
[2599.96] BlueOwl: and then go over the roof and back.
[2601.96] BlueOwl: But I don't know.
[2603.96] BlueOwl: I think I wouldn't dare.
[2605.96] BlueOwl: Or maybe.
[2607.96] Curry: It sounds like a great thing to do unless you live there,
[2609.96] Curry: where people might find out who you are and get upset about it.
[2613.96] BlueOwl: Yeah.
[2614.96] Frank: If it was small enough quads, I'm sure no one would mind.
[2619.96] Frank: That would have noticed.
[2620.96] BlueOwl: Yeah.
[2621.96] BlueOwl: Try explaining to old people in Czech that this is just a toy.
[2627.96] BlueOwl: And this is not a camera, no.
[2630.96] Tony: I'm not spying on you.
[2633.96] BlueOwl: Yeah, exactly.
[2635.96] Frank: Yeah.
[2636.96] BlueOwl: Okay.
[2637.96] BlueOwl: Can't see it.
[2638.96] BlueOwl: So what's your next project?
[2641.96] Tony: Me, I'm going to carry on doing stuff with the seven inch ones I'm allowed out.
[2647.96] Tony: Even our FPV field's shut.
[2649.96] Tony: So I don't even know when that's going to be allowed to go fly in there.
[2654.96] Tony: I have to find somewhere else.
[2655.96] Tony: That's all I'm doing, just working a bit more on that.
[2659.96] Curry: Anyone else?
[2661.96] Curry: I've got loads to do when I can go out.
[2662.96] Curry: I want to go back and do some more on Open HD
[2666.96] Curry: because I got to the point of driving around with it.
[2669.96] Curry: I still need to tune up the 450.
[2671.96] Curry: I think the 450 was working okay on iNav.
[2673.96] Curry: As soon as that's fine, I can put my other Raspberry Pi on it
[2677.96] Curry: and see how it performs.
[2679.96] Curry: Other than that, I'll just keep messing around with the sim for now
[2681.96] Curry: because I can't really do much else other than my exciting indoor reviews
[2685.96] Curry: coming soon to a YouTube screen near you where I will sit on the floor,
[2690.96] Curry: look at a piece of stuff.
[2691.96] Curry: This would probably be okay, but I don't know
[2693.96] Curry: because I can't take it outside right now.
[2695.96] Curry: That's essentially the summary for all reviews.
[2697.96] Curry: Then you can make up your own mind about how to perform.
[2699.96] Curry: Unboxing video, that's the idea, isn't it?
[2702.96] BlueOwl: Yeah, we can do what is called the stop-motion stuff.
[2708.96] BlueOwl: I think unpacking themselves.
[2712.96] BlueOwl: Is it still cool or not anymore?
[2715.96] Curry: It doesn't sound very cool.
[2721.03] Curry: The last lot of things came in little bags.
[2723.03] Curry: It's more of an unbagging review where I empty out things.
[2726.03] Curry: It's like, look, here's some instructions.
[2728.03] Curry: Here's a beeper.
[2730.03] Curry: Let's see how loud it is.
[2732.03] Curry: Oh, it's loud.
[2734.03] Curry: You'd be able to find this.
[2736.03] Curry: I'm going to hide it somewhere in my house and see if I can follow the beeps.
[2740.03] Frank: Hide it in the house and see how long it is before someone else in the house
[2744.03] Frank: finds it and smashes it with a hammer.
[2747.03] Tony: Yes.
[2749.03] Tony: I do need to get a beeper.
[2753.03] Tony: Beepers.
[2755.03] Frank: Curry has the videos for you, Tony.
[2758.03] Tony: I've watched a few of them.
[2761.03] Frank: Many beepers.
[2763.03] Tony: I've watched a few of them.
[2765.03] Tony: I will get one.
[2767.03] Tony: I need to one what will last two days going off in seven foot of snow.
[2773.03] Tony: Is that possible?
[2775.03] Tony: Because apparently we're getting the beast from the east next week.
[2778.03] Tony: Seven foot of snow?
[2780.03] Tony: Probably not seven foot.
[2782.03] Frank: Seven foot horizontally, maybe.
[2784.03] Frank: This is the seven foot of snow.
[2787.03] Frank: It's just that much.
[2789.03] Tony: Well, I keep getting threatening that he's going to snow hard here.
[2794.03] Tony: We don't get any.
[2796.03] Tony: I saw...
[2798.03] Tony: I think it's snowing in the north.
[2801.03] Frank: Project Spare.
[2804.03] Frank: James Wormsley.
[2806.03] Frank: He had to abandon his car because there was so much snow in Sheffield.
[2812.03] Tony: What today?
[2814.03] Frank: Yeah, on Instagram.
[2816.03] Frank: It looked like a whole centimetre of snow.
[2819.03] Frank: Well, that's it.
[2821.03] Frank: That's the England shot.
[2823.03] BlueOwl: No, that's it.
[2825.03] BlueOwl: I wouldn't mind my car as well.
[2827.03] Frank: No chance of getting through that.
[2830.03] Frank: It's done some interesting rocket stuff lately.
[2834.03] Frank: I'm looking forward to those bits actually making it to YouTube.
[2840.03] Frank: Flight Test being doing a big duct tape plane.
[2844.03] Tony: I'd still like to watch that.
[2846.03] Tony: And then it said add in five, four, five, eight, nine, eight.
[2852.03] Tony: Boom.
[2854.03] Tony: I literally didn't watch it just because of that.
[2857.03] Tony: And then they go...
[2859.03] Tony: What did I say?
[2861.03] Tony: And our sponsors is these new coffee beans from a rat's arse.
[2867.03] Tony: It's nothing to do with anything to do with flight anymore.
[2872.03] Tony: Is it sponsored by anything?
[2875.03] Tony: It's like this show, right?
[2877.03] Frank: I was going to say, you're just jealous, Tony.
[2880.03] Frank: It's like this show, but without the sponsors.
[2883.03] Tony: I'm a rat's arse, please.
[2885.03] Frank: I'm just jealous that they're getting paid for talking about things that are completely unrelated to what they do.
[2890.03] Tony: I know.
[2892.03] Tony: Okay.
[2893.03] Tony: All right.
[2894.03] Tony: Well, I'm going to watch it then.
[2895.03] Curry: But it's the advert bit.
[2897.03] Curry: I haven't watched Flight Test in ages.
[2899.03] Curry: Is there still the annoying people on it?
[2901.03] Tony: Yeah, that laughing one.
[2903.03] Curry: That's real specific about which one.
[2907.03] Tony: The laughing one.
[2909.03] Tony: No, I don't like him.
[2911.03] Tony: I think he's had a baby.
[2913.03] Tony: So hopefully he'll be off.
[2915.03] BlueOwl: What if he watches Asteroid?
[2918.03] BlueOwl: What if he's watching Asteroid die?
[2920.03] BlueOwl: That's a terrible thing.
[2922.03] BlueOwl: I'm crying.
[2924.03] BlueOwl: I would be so sad for this guy.
[2928.03] Frank: We know they do because there's stuff we've talked about that then they've included in their videos before.
[2934.03] Frank: Oh, come on.
[2935.03] Tony: They copy our ideas, don't they, Frank?
[2938.03] Frank: Well, I think there's also an element of coming up with the same things because someone else completely has done them before either of us have thought of it.
[2947.03] Curry: I reckon they copied my idea about a bottle rocket powered plane.
[2952.03] Curry: I took it out like two years ago and then suddenly Flight Test.
[2956.03] Curry: Oh, look, we've made a bottle rocket plane.
[2958.03] Curry: It's like, oh, that's original.
[2961.03] Tony: Whatever.
[2963.03] BlueOwl: Go on, let's just come up with some stupid ideas, things that we would love to make, but they're just so stupid and dangerous that we would never be able to make.
[2973.03] Curry: Next week they'll be washing windows with drones, guaranteed.
[2976.03] Tony: We've talked about it.
[2978.03] Tony: Well, we're pretty cool, though.
[2982.03] Curry: Next week community videos will have to think of something.
[2986.03] Curry: We don't have any guests for a while unless someone comes up with something.
[2991.03] Tony: No guests, no flying.
[2993.03] Tony: God, it's been a struggle this week.
[2995.03] Tony: We do need to definitely think of something next week.
[2999.03] Frank: I'm up for having another crack at the flying, either at silly angles or just flying on the simulator on the weekend, maybe Saturday evening.
[3008.03] BlueOwl: That's a silly angle.
[3011.03] BlueOwl: Yeah, I'm flying.
[3013.03] BlueOwl: I miss back and I'm really sad, so we need to do it again.
[3016.03] BlueOwl: Saturday night, Frank.
[3018.03] Tony: I didn't think we were out the radar.
[3022.03] Jack: Tony could get his todger out.
[3026.03] Tony: No, it's a 10 out of 10.
[3029.03] Jack: Did I ever tell you about my old fridge?
[3034.03] Jack: I used to have an old fridge and it died.
[3036.03] Jack: This isn't a tangent.
[3038.03] Tony: What was his name?
[3040.03] Jack: I had a fridge and it broke down.
[3044.03] Jack: I got the other one replaced.
[3046.03] Jack: Currys have this warranty system, like this thing where you can recycle your old fridge if you give them a five or whatever.
[3054.03] Curry: To explain for the non-UK viewers, when he's saying Currys, he's not thinking I'm getting the fridge.
[3060.03] Curry: This is a store.
[3064.03] Jack: Anyway, the guys took it and when they loaded it on the van, there was a photo of Felicity Kendall on the bottom of it.
[3073.03] Jack: It's a bottle of reference, Tony, if you remember.
[3078.03] Tony: Sorry, I was not listening.
[3085.03] Tony: I was reading and chat.
[3089.03] Tony: Wow.
[3091.03] Tony: I was asking.
[3094.03] BlueOwl: And Ollie was born.
[3098.03] Tony: Oh, yeah.
[3104.03] Frank: Don Lads was asking if anyone can join us in the sim.
[3107.03] Frank: So, yes, Currys Sim is free on GitHub or you can get it on Steam for a small amount of money where you don't have to worry about all the updates and things.
[3119.03] Curry: But we do have a four-player limit generally on multiplayer and that's because I'm using a cheap-ass, brackets-free version of some infrastructure,
[3129.03] Curry: which means I have a max number of network messages that can go back and forth, which limits me down to around four players.
[3136.03] Frank: Yeah, so I'm sure we'll do the same thing.
[3139.03] Frank: We'll stick it on the patrons as a kind of bonus stream on there.
[3144.03] Frank: But anyone can jump in on the simulator.
[3148.03] Frank: It just might not be the same room that we're in at the time.
[3152.03] Curry: Yes, I mean, you can find a room, but if it's full up, then you can't come in.
[3158.03] Curry: As is the normal thing.
[3160.03] Curry: But people can always drop out if other guys want to drop in.
[3165.03] Curry: We can always set up a Discord room or something because if you can't talk to each other, then people are just wandering around flying past.
[3172.03] Curry: And it's a bit weird, isn't it?
[3174.03] Frank: Yeah, there was someone who was on the simulator when I got there and I assumed it was Tony and was just chasing him around for like 20 minutes, thinking it was Tony.
[3186.03] Tony: Even though it wasn't Tony or didn't have my name tonestar or anything, nothing like that.
[3193.03] Frank: Just assumed you just hadn't put anything sensible in the name and just mashed the keyboards because that's what it looked like.
[3199.03] Frank: Sounds like Tony.
[3202.03] Tony: It wasn't, though.
[3204.03] Tony: But it wasn't.
[3206.03] Frank: But after 20 minutes left and I was like, Mr. Tony, I assume that's you.
[3210.03] Frank: He's like, no, I'm not on the simulator.
[3213.03] Tony: I wasn't. It was definitely someone else.
[3216.03] Tony: Oh, dear.
[3218.03] Tony: So next week, we're talking washing up the how-to iron extenders.
[3228.03] Tony: It sounds like my week at work.
[3231.03] Tony: And some cooking shows.
[3233.03] Tony: Oh, God.
[3235.03] Tony: What are we going to do next week?
[3237.03] Tony: We need to have a brainstorm.
[3239.03] Frank: That's the things I'm sure when we're flying around.
[3242.03] Curry: We can talk about it, but we can all come up with a little bit that we want to talk about.
[3246.03] Curry: If you want to find some videos that we want to talk about or critique, we can always do that.
[3252.03] Curry: That's always good for something.
[3256.03] Curry: One of them might have been me.
[3258.03] Curry: You might have been flying with Don lads.
[3260.03] Curry: What was the username, Frank?
[3262.03] Curry: Do you remember?
[3264.03] Curry: Random keyboard mash.
[3273.03] Curry: That would maybe be it.
[3276.03] Tony: Me and Frank would be flying Saturday night.
[3281.41] Tony: I don't know what time.
[3283.41] Tony: Before I get drunk.
[3285.41] Tony: So probably six.
[3293.41] Tony: Very funny, my mouth.
[3297.41] Tony: Oh, dear.
[3299.41] Tony: Frank, you can do the honors.
[3301.41] Frank: Come on in.
[3303.41] Frank: Thank you very much.
[3305.41] Frank: You have all been listening to Let's Drone Out.
[3308.41] Frank: This week, we have been joined by Curry.
[3311.41] Frank: Goodbye.
[3313.41] Frank: We've been joined by Blue Owl.
[3315.41] Frank: Bonjour.
[3316.41] Frank: We've been joined by Tony.
[3318.41] Frank: Bonjour.
[3320.41] Curry: She says it with a much better accent, Tony.
[3323.41] Curry: Like she can actually speak French or something.
[3325.41] Tony: Mine's from Dale Boy.
[3327.41] Tony: It's not a French thing.
[3330.41] Frank: We were previously joined by Jack until his electricity ran out.
[3335.41] Frank: I enjoyed it.
[3338.41] Frank: Join us next week when we'll have come up with something to talk about, hopefully.
[3342.41] Frank: Until then, bye.
[3344.41] UNKNOWN: Won't be fridges.
