[186.51] Curry: have cunningly made it so fragile that if you land it a bit funny, it explodes and you have to send it away and buy new bits
[193.51] Curry: At the same time, if you try and activate the goggles, they might brick themselves and not work anymore

[243.51] BlueOwl: So at the end of the day of the release, when I opened the YouTube, I was just, I kept scrolling and scrolling
[250.51] BlueOwl: And I'm not even subscribed to that many channels, I don't watch that many FPV videos
[255.51] BlueOwl: But everybody just released, it seemed like they released the videos at the very same time, everyone who was testing it

[266.51] BlueOwl: I don't think I watched any of these videos, to be honest, so I'm happy to hear from you
[272.51] Tony: I saw so many on Facebooks, I literally was flicking through and it was just pictures of dangly arms like this
[280.51] Tony: And I watched a barbell slowly crash into a tree and then held his drone up and it was broken
[288.51] Tony: I thought, wow, that's, there's going to be, someone's going to be earning some money out of this
[294.51] Tony: Some Cockle and Bull
[297.51] Curry: Well, I actually watched the live event, not knowing that two minutes after that live event, my entire YouTube stream would be swarmed
[304.51] Curry: I thought, I'll watch that, that'd be fun to watch live and let's watch little clips
[308.51] Curry: I did notice though, and you can tell this, because anybody flying a sort of a GoPro with hypersmooth or using that after-finger effect will have a much smoother video
[322.51] Curry: And I noticed in like the official, you know, DJI do these really big, like impressive little demos, don't they, to shove it off
[330.51] Curry: And they're always like chasing courses across the field or there's a volcano coming off
[334.51] Curry: The clips of each one was like two seconds, two seconds, two seconds
[340.51] Curry: So you never sort of see and judge to yourself if it was a bit wobbly or not
[345.51] Curry: But I got the impression it was, if you look closely, it's all a bit, all a bit judory
[350.51] Curry: And then before you could notice it, it was like, look at these, look at these people riding bikes
[355.51] Curry: Or look, there's a car driving fast, very fast
[359.51] Curry: But yeah, it's an interesting thing
[364.51] Curry: It's going to make DJI a fortune in aftermarket parts
[368.51] Curry: That's the only thing I can really think about
[371.51] Curry: Because all the people that are buying camera drones and are very used to the throttle stick is something that does altitude
[379.51] Curry: And you like push eyeball down the sky, it's suddenly going to be, oh, let's just, let's just try getting a bit flashy
[386.51] Curry: I wanted to dive down this mountain and just going to be, oh man, it's going to be
[390.51] Frank: I mean that controller that they've released with it, the kind of accelerometer, like one handing thing
[397.51] Frank: But I would quite like to have a go with that
[400.51] Frank: But on like hubs and kind of, you know, like an X4, like a tiny little tiny whoop type thing
[406.51] Frank: I'd like to have a go on that, not on something that costs over a thousand pounds
[410.51] Curry: That seems silly, but
[412.51] Curry: I haven't watched a proper video on that yet
[414.51] Curry: I saw it from there, like demo reel, some guys going like this
[417.51] Curry: But I think, did Tommy, I got a bit fed up after about half an hour
[425.51] Curry: It was like, there's too many videos
[426.51] Curry: I watched Bardwalls one, I watched the official one
[428.51] Curry: I watched somebody unscrew it and take it apart
[432.51] Curry: God knows if that's going to go back together or not
[434.51] Curry: And then I was done, but yeah, I hadn't really seen it other than it looks like it's a motion controller of some sort
[441.51] Tony: Yeah, 800 grams, it's quite a bit, I mean, that's what's an average, what is my...
[450.51] Curry: Let's say about 500 or 600 grams for a decent, a relatively decent city sort of freestyle quad
[460.51] Curry: And of course, if you want to spare battery, pony up 130 quid
[465.51] Curry: For a 6S to 2000 milliamp hour
[470.51] Curry: That's a lot

[473.51] Tony: It's 20 minutes flight time, 15, 20 minutes, spends how you fly
[477.51] Tony: So it's pretty good, but I'd get bored doing that
[481.51] Tony: I'd get bored doing my 10 minutes flying with the Tomahawk
[484.51] Tony: I went out the weekend and flew far and come back
[487.51] Tony: And I got cramp again in my wrist and just bolted it in that position
[492.51] Tony: And I was like, nah!
[493.51] Tony: Cramp in your wrist
[495.51] Frank: I was holding it
[496.51] Curry: You're doing things funny
[498.51] Frank: Is it not... I mean, if...
[501.51] Frank: Surely you just kind of leave it in the position and it's just automatic cruise control

[509.51] Tony: The sticks kept blowing away and you had to find the winds on your thumbs to get them back

[709.51] Frank: I was going to ask, like, what you were using the GPS for
[712.51] Frank: Because presumably you're not getting it to, like, fly itself
[716.51] Frank: If you're having to worry about the wind blowing it around

[722.51] Tony: You know, to know which way's home and how far you've gone
[726.51] Frank: Because you couldn't pull out Jack with his return-to-home jacket
[729.51] Frank: So you had to have an hour-long screen
[731.51] Tony: I did go and see Jack after I went to the valley
[735.51] Tony: I went and said hello, stood on his doorstep
[738.51] Tony: Threw my dog at him
[741.51] Tony: Yeah, he was all right
[743.51] Tony: But what I was impressed with with the DJI

[752.51] Tony: Was the return, the home point on the goggles
[757.51] Tony: Did you see that in the goggles?
[759.51] Curry: Yeah, it's like a little augmented reality thing, wasn't it?
[761.51] Curry: So it shows a little H back where the H, your actual home point is
[766.51] Curry: So if you're over somewhere in some trees
[769.51] Curry: It will plop the H in the right place distance-wise and stuff
[773.51] Curry: So you can get back in a sort of more easy way
[778.51] Curry: And with its thingy receiver, whatever that thing is
[782.51] Curry: Which isn't remote ID
[786.51] Curry: It will do the same
[787.51] Curry: So if it detects there's a plane
[789.51] Curry: It will put them sort of on the map, as it were

[798.51] Tony: So I haven't actually seen

[1909.11] Frank: So you'll be able to control your throttle a lot easier

[1919.11] Frank: I felt like my heartbeat was making it move

[1926.11] Frank: And just trying to stay reasonably still

[2937.01] Curry: And when you go to sport mode
[2938.01] Curry: It puts in more of a coordinated turn
[2940.01] Curry: But you just use your steering on the yaw stick
[2942.01] Curry: And it's putting these nice coordinated turns in for you
[2944.01] Curry: So it feels more swishy
[2946.01] Curry: But it's still like let go and it just stops and hovers
[2950.01] Curry: And it's got like full return to home and stuff
[2952.01] Curry: So as long as nobody tries to get like
[2955.01] Curry: Oh this FPV stuff looks easy

[3063.01] BlueOwl: Because of course we're going to just keep finding the little details that don't work
