[392.41] HP: you know, the sort of like to fit on ideally the apex, really.
[399.25] HP: And then, you know, I can then I know have a go at trying to make something else.
[405.21] Stephen: So it's going to be just LEDs like in the stack just around the edges of the board, you mean?

[415.61] HP: like back plate that goes on the back of the two standoffs at the rear of the quad.

[1157.68] Stephen: And then I thought, well, I'm going to have to get started on this thing.

[1168.64] Stephen: But inside it's an air unit.
[1171.28] Stephen: I got the run cam air unit because the camera is pretty good, low light.
[1175.0] Stephen: And I already had a couple of Nebula pros if I need to swap it out.

[1182.92] Stephen: They brought out that DVR this week that they've released a DVR,

[1195.48] Stephen: but adds 30 milliseconds latency, which is just pew-tastic.

[1281.04] Stephen: So so I thought I'd build myself a seven inch with an ATES.
[1285.32] Stephen: And then I've got the Matek H743 Mini,
[1290.4] Stephen: which is a 20 mil flight controller with an H7.
[1294.68] Stephen: And that is ATES capable as well.
[1296.76] Tony: So they do really good stuff, don't they?
[1299.52] HP: Yeah, Matek really do pull it out of the bag.
[1303.08] Stephen: Yeah. And then a lot of very cheap emacs motors
[1305.96] Stephen: because can't go wrong with emacs eco 2807s.
[1310.36] HP: Do you reckon 20 by 20 is like the new standard now?
[1313.44] HP: We can actually find, you know, like the rest of us are all like boomers.

[1322.44] Stephen: I mean, there's totally a good reason that people didn't want to use it.
[1325.08] Stephen: When I started in the hobby, I bought an E-Sheen Cube stack
[1328.6] Stephen: and that was 20 by 20.
[1330.08] Stephen: And it was a piece of expletive.
[1332.72] Stephen: Like it was complete and utter doo doo.

[1337.32] Stephen: It was an F3 processor.

[2459.44] Stephen: If you're in a position to do an upgrade, I would absolutely recommend not buying a new module and your goggles, but just by the Skyo 4X because they're inbuilt module is amazing.
[2471.44] Stephen: And they've got integrated menus. You don't have this really clunky kind of, you know, with the rapid fire, you press the button and the whole thing would like blank and then jump.

[2482.44] Stephen: Well, with the Skyzone ones, it's just like a TV, you know, the menus up there all the time.
[2488.44] Stephen: The picture doesn't flicker when you're using the menu or anything.

[3068.78] HP: I remember you would start on the RC group about BR Kelly.
[3075.78] HP: Then each night you'd have to read like 10 pages.
[3079.78] HP: Then the next night there'll be 20 pages you'll be behind.
[3084.78] HP: It got ridiculous.
[3086.78] HP: When it started to get to like 50 pages, you were behind.
[3091.78] HP: It was just that saturation.
[3093.78] HP: Just insurmountable.
[3095.78] HP: There was only one simulator we could run,
[3102.78] HP: which was FPV Freerider.
[3105.78] HP: Me and Tony didn't have decent computers.
[3109.78] HP: Even then they didn't run that well.
[3112.78] HP: The physics was goddamn awful.
[3114.78] HP: Tony had to teach me how to fly manual.
[3117.78] HP: How he didn't rip his own dick off and throw it at me.

[3210.78] Tony: That was back in the day when there was a couple of hundred of us in the UK probably.
[3217.78] Tony: And only a thousand in probably the world at that particular time, maybe more.

[3226.78] HP: Tony's like, I'm the only gay FPV in the village.
[3232.78] HP: I remember that sense of like, what am I doing?
[3237.78] Tony: I did love it. I loved it back then.
[3241.78] Tony: It's still great now, but I think it was better.
[3246.78] Stephen: At that time, I got a taste of that, but not through FPV.
[3249.78] Stephen: I was really into doing like Android ROMs and every Android device I got.
[3255.78] Stephen: I got an iPhone 3G and I just got really pissed off with it because it was crashing all the time.
[3259.78] Stephen: And I got a Galaxy S8 and just hacked it and put Cyanogen Mod on it
[3264.78] Stephen: and then bought a succession of Android phones and hacked them and put various ROMs on them.
[3269.78] Stephen: And that was the same thing.
[3271.78] Stephen: You go on a forum and read, oh yeah, I've posted this ROM and it works fine.
[3275.78] Stephen: And then two pages later you'll be like, no, don't do this.
[3278.78] Stephen: It actually wipes your IMEI number and you won't be able to ever use your phone again.
[3281.78] Stephen: And you have to constantly keep reading like screeds of text, like 20 pages a day.
[3289.78] Stephen: There was never any one summing up the changes.
[3292.78] Stephen: You just had to read 20 pages a day or you might just wipe your hardware out completely.
