[241.02] AndyRC: It was more about it was more about focusing on my health
[244.62] AndyRC: and you know, part of that was my inability to make YouTube
[251.52] AndyRC: videos and be sharp and stuff like that.
[254.12] AndyRC: And so I just thought temporarily removing it from
[258.72] AndyRC: my life to sort my other issues out was a good idea.
[264.82] AndyRC: It's nothing against any of the channels or anything like

[270.72] AndyRC: And honestly, like I just I don't what is I didn't need
[275.02] AndyRC: to unsubscribe is less unsubscribing and just not watching
[278.72] AndyRC: YouTube really other than self-help and there's a lot of
[282.82] AndyRC: good stuff out there for like your mental health and stuff.
[285.92] AndyRC: So watch a lot of that stuff.

[292.72] Tony: I've just been off of here because I've just had other
[296.92] Tony: things going on in life or have been more important than
[300.82] Tony: you know, I'm sort of a radiator thing.

[305.22] Tony: There's been other things, you know, I've had mental health
[308.42] Tony: issues and I've never thought I'd ever have them but Covid
[311.82] Tony: sort of brought that on when I actually got it six months
[315.02] Tony: ago.
[315.92] Tony: And then I looked into it and it was like there was stuff
[320.42] Tony: saying, yeah, people have had, you know, feeling bad and
[325.92] Tony: I was quite emotional over the whole I got over it in four
[331.82] Tony: days and then just got really I don't know just felt really
[337.12] Tony: weird didn't feel myself for I know last couple of months
[341.72] Tony: really it's been very weird but then yeah, and I've been
[346.02] Tony: having other stuff to do as well.
[347.82] AndyRC: So I don't think being locked up and isolated for anyone
[354.42] AndyRC: especially like young kids as well something something that
[358.82] AndyRC: we saw in the summer here is something that we've never
[361.92] AndyRC: seen before and kids outside the house vandalizing, you
[368.12] AndyRC: know, we live in quite a nice area and in the summer they
[374.62] AndyRC: caused have it.
[375.42] AndyRC: They were saying whether the the famous red pooping is they
[381.42] AndyRC: set fire to it.
[382.82] AndyRC: They kicked it over.
[385.02] AndyRC: They assault they threw rock with throwing rocks.
[388.12] AndyRC: It's an old lady.
[389.62] AndyRC: I feel like I've told this story before on here though.
[392.62] AndyRC: I've heard it.
[393.72] AndyRC: So yeah, I think it's affected everybody in different ways.
[399.32] AndyRC: I think with kids, you know, not not being able to, you know,
[404.62] AndyRC: being been locked up and stuff.
[406.52] AndyRC: I don't know whether it's a symptom of that or not.
[408.92] AndyRC: All I know is that we've never seen it living here for 35
[413.62] AndyRC: years.
[414.02] AndyRC: We've never seen it before.
[416.12] AndyRC: So that's something new and that and it was straight after
[420.32] AndyRC: a lot like all the lockdowns were lifted and all of a sudden
[423.82] AndyRC: we've got 60 kids hanging out on that field at the front of
[429.02] AndyRC: the house and Lord of the Flies throwing rocks and you call
[433.12] AndyRC: the police and they see the sirens and they all bolt and
[436.92] AndyRC: that so the police didn't really doing it.
[439.32] AndyRC: But anyways that I think that's yeah, it's just part of the
[443.22] AndyRC: whole lockdown situation and what what it's done.
[448.02] AndyRC: It's probably I imagine there's a figure out there somewhere
[452.82] AndyRC: of how like mental health and covid probably they got it
[457.22] AndyRC: goes totally even maybe even work even worse on one side
[461.22] AndyRC: than the other but yeah, I'm not to be too much of a downer.
[465.32] Stephen: But yeah, Christmas is also a very tough time.
[467.62] Stephen: So there's lots of people out there who kind of struggle with
[470.72] Stephen: that every year.
[471.42] Stephen: You know, you're not seeing as much your mates.
[473.52] Stephen: You haven't got as much sunlight.
[474.92] Stephen: You're not out doing stuff that you'd normally do to kind
[478.02] Stephen: of keep you fit and keep your your mind working.
[482.32] Stephen: That can be a bit of a struggle too.
[485.92] Jack: Well, the nights are drawing out longer from now on.
[490.02] Jack: We've just passed the sources.
[491.62] AndyRC: Yeah, happy solstice everyone today.
[496.02] AndyRC: Were you there Tony at Stonehenge as you always are at

[500.32] Tony: Well, I did get a ping on my phone and it pinged me me and
[504.32] Tony: my mate Bruce Stonehenge.

[507.32] Tony: I went there which is gone.

[512.22] Tony: No, we just hugged a lot of people and hug the stones.

[517.52] Tony: It's quite a good thing to go to.
[520.12] Tony: I think I think I definitely prefer that one than the summer
[523.42] Tony: one because that's you know, leading into darkness.
[527.22] Tony: Whereas this one you go to is leading to the light coming

[532.12] Tony: So that's why I chose that one to go to and it was great
[536.62] Tony: because you can get right up close to the stones.
[539.62] Tony: You can touch the stones, hug the stones.
[542.92] Tony: Get right in there.
[543.92] Tony: Whereas, you know, if you go went there normally you'd be
[546.62] Tony: there's a big barrier behind it and security saying, you
[550.02] Tony: know, you can't do this, but on special days, me and the
[555.42] Stephen: wife did that a couple of years ago.
[557.02] Stephen: We were going down to a place in Bournemouth and that was
[560.62] Stephen: like the halfway point.
[562.32] Stephen: So we just happened to be going past it the day that was
[566.42] Stephen: open, which is, you know, in September, start of September
[569.42] Stephen: and yeah, just went down there at 3 in the morning or something
[572.92] Stephen: to watch Dawn come up and then watch all the hippies disappear
[575.72] Stephen: into the fog afterwards.
[577.12] Stephen: That was kind of cool.

[579.12] Jack: Yeah, it's very enjoyable.

[664.12] AndyRC: problem, is I talked in that video about like struggling
[669.42] AndyRC: to get out of bed and when I go for a shower or a bath,
[675.42] AndyRC: I have all these amazing ideas and I'm like, I can do this,

[679.82] AndyRC: I've actually filmed, I've probably got seven videos that
[684.02] Stephen: are motorized bath, Andy motorized bath, get you out in
[687.52] Stephen: the field in a bath.
[690.72] AndyRC: Yeah, our flying field is kind of like, don't, Phil will
[696.22] Jack: actually build that if he's like, yeah, that was a solution
[701.12] Jack: to like fix Andy.
[703.52] Jack: Trust me, that man, Dr.
[705.62] Jack: Phil would have built it.

[708.82] Tony: It's probably wet and old, wet and horrible out there now,

[713.32] AndyRC: Yeah, but you know what, we had two weeks and you guys were
[717.62] AndyRC: probably the same where it was freezing cold temperatures,
[721.12] AndyRC: you know, it never went above like zero degrees and that

[725.42] AndyRC: Actually got loads of flying done because it was too cold
[732.12] AndyRC: for actually outside the house because it was too cold
[735.32] AndyRC: for dog walkers, but and the ground was like frost.
[740.32] AndyRC: So it wasn't dry.
[742.62] AndyRC: Yeah, it was dry.
[743.72] AndyRC: Yeah.
[743.82] AndyRC: I mean, it was frosty, but yeah, but it was water around
[748.12] Stephen: but it wasn't wet water.

[750.42] Stephen: So you could land and just brush it off and your quads

[754.72] AndyRC: Yeah, exactly.
[755.72] AndyRC: So I did a lot of flying then but man, I've got so much
[759.32] AndyRC: footage like the when we did the flying at the the drone
[763.62] AndyRC: fest and all of that, like I never put any of that out the
[767.42] AndyRC: plane with the smoke system on it, the all the slow-mo stuff
[771.62] AndyRC: that Andy caught.
[774.32] AndyRC: I think I put some stuff of that when we flew at the towers
[777.52] AndyRC: that I had that big massive crash at the towers, all of
[780.72] AndyRC: that site.
[781.72] AndyRC: I mean that would have been hilarious stuff, but it was
[784.62] AndyRC: just having the you know, you're freaking out so much with
[788.72] Stephen: that plane, but the footage just looks excellent when you're
[791.42] Stephen: flying the plane around the towers.
[793.82] Stephen: You're freaking out the time.

[795.52] Stephen: It's so true.
[796.02] Stephen: You're the only person to get up there with a plane like the
[798.72] Stephen: whole weekend and you went up there like blue smoke and had
[801.82] Stephen: everyone flying around you.
[802.92] Stephen: It looked absolutely amazing.
[805.02] AndyRC: Yeah, I really want to put that footage out because yeah and
[809.22] AndyRC: everybody it was mayhem because then everybody wanted to follow
[814.02] AndyRC: the plane with the smoke with the quads and all of the all
[819.12] AndyRC: of the frequencies with all of the video feed was going crazy
[824.42] AndyRC: because that everybody just plugged in follow the plane and
[827.72] AndyRC: it's like all rules went out the window and it came to what
[831.42] AndyRC: frequency you could fire.
[833.52] Stephen: Wait a minute.
[833.92] Stephen: You know the guy flying this plane is doing FPV right guys.
[837.52] Stephen: It's like 10 of you in the air right now and he's trying to
[840.82] Stephen: fly this plane.
[842.42] AndyRC: Not only that like head tracking FPV so I can get really
[845.42] AndyRC: close to the towers and stuff like that, you know, and all
[848.62] AndyRC: I'm seeing is just like a smudge, but I was trying to follow
[853.52] Stephen: initially and like just do a steady follow flight and then I
[856.62] Stephen: could hear this guy flying like Spang next to me and I was
[859.82] Stephen: just saying constant throttle punch cut was just like this
[865.42] Stephen: guy was just like slam slam slam in front of me.
[867.82] Stephen: I'm like, I'm going to get mid-aired like any second.
[872.42] AndyRC: I just backed off what it really needed.
[875.12] AndyRC: It was my friend Phil who had his in the car, but I just don't
[879.92] AndyRC: think he wanted to push it because it was on the limit.
[884.82] AndyRC: It was so windy and that would be adding another DJI signal
[891.52] AndyRC: up there with a, you know, six other DJI signals and he probably
[896.72] AndyRC: made the good good decision there, but really the only way
[899.72] AndyRC: to follow that plane closely is with the exact identical other
[903.82] AndyRC: plane as quads are all over the place.
[906.22] AndyRC: Whereas planes, you can sort of say, right, we're at this
[908.82] AndyRC: throttle, we're at this altitude.
[911.52] Stephen: We're going to turn now and these guys have been flying like
[913.82] Stephen: super aggressive freestyle all weekend.
[916.02] Stephen: So they weren't in like a cruising mode.
[918.62] Stephen: They were in just absolutely ripping it and destroying lipos
[922.22] Stephen: mode. That's what they were going to do.
[923.72] AndyRC: Yeah.
[924.22] AndyRC: Yeah.
[924.42] AndyRC: When I look back at some of the footage, they they're trying
[927.52] AndyRC: to loop around the smoke.
[928.92] AndyRC: I'm like, no, just follow the smoke.

[931.72] AndyRC: Oh, no, I want to do a Matty thing around it.
[934.62] AndyRC: Like, you know, so it's all good.
[936.62] AndyRC: I got all that footage.
[937.72] AndyRC: It look amazing.
[939.92] AndyRC: I think I might save it though for the release of that pyro
[945.72] AndyRC: trigger thing that Menace will be coming out with because
[950.22] Stephen: if they ever come in out with it, but we were talking about

[956.92] Jack: He's busy with like the soldering iron and everything.
[960.62] AndyRC: It was meant to be April and it was a PCB.
[965.42] AndyRC: Yeah, it was but it's it's a very difficult one to get is

[976.52] AndyRC: Maybe I released a bit like a teaser video and it didn't

[982.82] AndyRC: So I think I like three and a half thousand views, but I
[987.22] AndyRC: think it's just awesome thing and it you know, maybe if
[991.42] AndyRC: I'd have showed on a quad people would be more interested

[995.52] AndyRC: I had just my I mean if you sold three and a half thousand

[1072.92] AndyRC: I've been flying quads for so long and then my friend Phil
[1076.52] AndyRC: figured out this head tracking and then I took it step
[1079.92] AndyRC: further making it wireless and you know, really being into
[1083.72] AndyRC: VR and playing DCS and all of this business.
[1090.32] AndyRC: Is this a group?
[1093.62] AndyRC: No, no, no, no, everybody's gone back to what DC that was
[1098.22] AndyRC: a crew that was a lockdown crew where none of us could do
[1102.62] AndyRC: anything other than play DCS, but you know, NJ's gone back
[1106.92] AndyRC: to touring other members, you know, triple seven pilot went
[1113.12] AndyRC: back to flying triple sevens, etc, etc.
[1116.52] AndyRC: So everybody went back to their day job and Sheldon's actual
[1119.92] Jack: flying planes.
[1122.12] AndyRC: Yeah, Sheldon flying IRL and last I heard doing his aerobatic
[1130.32] AndyRC: thing and a Cessna 152 aerobat.
[1133.72] AndyRC: No, this isn't gonna this isn't going to this is like inside
[1139.32] AndyRC: stuff people aren't going to understand you read.
[1142.02] Stephen: Did you see that new Boxer radio that looks like Hydra's looking
[1147.02] Stephen: forward to that and we are currently talking about it last
[1149.52] Stephen: week's kind of a bit like a qx7 from but from Radio Master
[1154.12] Stephen: kind of member size thing without the switches on the top
[1157.72] Stephen: they put buttons on the top.
[1159.92] AndyRC: Is that the one so yeah Radio Master they've just been
[1164.92] AndyRC: absolutely amazing fact.

[1229.02] AndyRC: fingers that I look back at the fly and it's just like oh my

[1232.52] AndyRC: It was actually I'm recording my audio as I'm doing a flight
[1236.62] AndyRC: with it.
[1237.22] AndyRC: This was the other day for something like this and I remember
[1243.92] AndyRC: saying into the mic, you know, sorry if it's shaky, you know,
[1248.52] AndyRC: anxiety and it's minus five.
[1251.52] AndyRC: Now look back at the footage.

[1404.72] AndyRC: on these radios.
[1406.02] Stephen: Have you talked to the Edge TX devs and just said what's the
[1409.82] Stephen: timeline on this one because you might kick up some interest
[1413.62] Stephen: a lot of the time when they don't touch features.
[1416.02] Stephen: It's just because they're not front of mind, you know, people
[1418.52] Stephen: haven't reminded them.
[1419.42] AndyRC: Well, I actually don't I it's such a niche thing that I'm
[1423.22] AndyRC: doing with this wireless head tracking thing that I don't
[1426.02] AndyRC: think I think even if I said something, who am I it's just
[1431.12] AndyRC: like so low on their to-do list of things.
[1434.92] AndyRC: But as soon as that so, I'm not sure whether this radio even
[1439.42] AndyRC: has the wireless head tracker in it, but the Mark 2 has
[1445.32] AndyRC: the adapter for it.
[1447.82] AndyRC: And I spoke to RadioMaster because they were like, yeah,
[1450.72] AndyRC: what's going to be great about the Mark 2 TX16 S is that it's
[1456.32] AndyRC: going to have a plug in Bluetooth adapter that can do wireless
[1462.22] AndyRC: training and whatever but Edge TX has to implement it before
[1467.02] AndyRC: we can put it on the market.
[1468.92] AndyRC: So and that's still not happened.
[1471.32] AndyRC: I just don't think I think it's what people because like the
[1474.52] AndyRC: majority of all of this is for quad stuff and even the fixed
[1479.52] AndyRC: wing stuff.

[1482.22] AndyRC: No one's really interested in head tracking, especially on
[1485.02] AndyRC: a wing.

[1538.25] Stephen: channels, so it's not a specific wireless head tracker function.
[1541.95] Stephen: It's the wireless trainer function that you're kind of you're
[1545.45] Stephen: reusing to do wireless head tracking.
[1548.25] AndyRC: Yeah, yeah, it's it's a it's a hack essentially.
[1551.75] AndyRC: Yeah, but the wired version is having a wire coming out of
[1557.55] AndyRC: the trainer, but you also then have to power the head tracker
[1561.35] AndyRC: separately and my friend Phil still does it this way, but
[1565.75] AndyRC: like when I have a go of his system, it's like right.
[1569.25] AndyRC: Here's a bunch of cables and wires and two batteries ones
[1572.75] AndyRC: power in the head tracker ones power in there because the
[1576.15] AndyRC: five volts and all that whereas I've got just one battery one
[1580.45] AndyRC: plug wireless and it's perfect.
[1584.65] AndyRC: So but it's a very niche thing and so whether it'll even get
[1588.95] AndyRC: done or not, I don't know, but it's something that FR sky
[1594.05] AndyRC: still has because I even think in their this controversial
[1598.25] AndyRC: tandem thing has got the Bluetooth thing in it.
[1602.75] AndyRC: It's amazing how the our father radio interest has pushed
[1606.05] AndyRC: forward now that yeah, yeah, I think it's really interesting

[1612.25] AndyRC: We've got too many radios.
[1615.45] AndyRC: But we've got receivers that work with all of them.
[1617.95] AndyRC: Surely, it's the receivers that should be the selling point

[1765.75] AndyRC: I could take the radio Master Mark 1 using open TX and
[1772.15] AndyRC: manually soldering a Bluetooth thing.
[1774.35] Stephen: Is it a big deal just to have like a mini jack cable come
[1779.05] Stephen: you've already got a power cable going into your headset,
[1781.55] Stephen: right?
[1781.85] Stephen: So why not just put like a mini jack cable into the headset
[1785.25] Stephen: and into the radio and it's just or is that is it really
[1788.95] Stephen: distracting when you get more than just like one cable
[1792.15] Stephen: going into the headset.
[1793.15] AndyRC: Yeah, you have to remember that you are you are moving
[1797.05] AndyRC: your head in real time and the more cables that you have
[1800.75] AndyRC: isn't is very annoying and you have this the way that this
[1807.05] AndyRC: the system I came up with was that one battery so that the
[1811.35] AndyRC: DJI goggles you can get that digi-adapt to which powers
[1814.75] AndyRC: up a analog module.
[1816.65] AndyRC: I repurpose the value for the five volts to power up the
[1820.25] AndyRC: Arduino Bluetooth BLE board so that one battery could do
[1826.55] AndyRC: it all and it's just really convenient and I would I
[1831.25] AndyRC: wouldn't go back to having it all wired and no one's going
[1834.65] AndyRC: to care about any of this because it's it's such a
[1837.55] Stephen: well, we just had that going on from the INAF fixed-wing
[1840.05] Stephen: group a couple of days ago.
[1841.35] Stephen: And I think there is definitely a crowd out there who's
[1843.85] Stephen: doing a really advanced fixed-wing stuff that would
[1846.25] Stephen: be interested in this is just finding the right people to
[1849.65] Stephen: talk to I guess to make it happen.
[1851.65] AndyRC: It's it's one of those things right that you have to try
[1854.75] AndyRC: it and once you've tried it.
[1856.05] AndyRC: It's very hard to go back because it's like flying a real
[1860.85] AndyRC: plane almost it's as close as you can get to flying a real

[1868.35] AndyRC: you can do proper formation flying except you're more dangerous

[2275.75] Jack: It's just because we were backwards and didn't order it.

[2360.85] Stephen: saying I'm not comfortable flying forwards yet.

[2368.65] Tony: It was easier to land.

[2377.65] AndyRC: see a bit of the horizon or even if not, you knew where you

[2386.05] AndyRC: Yeah, less very narrow field of view as well.

[2389.75] Stephen: So if you have that plus zero degrees is is a challenge to

[2405.45] Jack: was just I went with that sort of stuff because I that's
[2410.95] Jack: the sort of stuff I could get and it was period correct and
[2416.05] Jack: the best it got, you know, it's like we're using we're using
[2421.35] Jack: the final like version of of beater flight.

[3301.35] Dominic: People were only speccing up to like 20 volts or so and you
[3306.85] Dominic: need a lot more than that for like reliable 4S, 5S, 6S.

[3317.65] Dominic: on connection of the batteries because I remember when people
[3320.75] Dominic: were starting to use the SP Racing F3 Mini with 4S, randomly
[3325.95] Dominic: they would just explode.
[3327.15] Dominic: The voltage regulator would just explode because it didn't
[3330.15] Dominic: have the TVS diode on there to protect the regulator.

[3652.65] Stephen: It sounds like you need some little refill tank on the side of your head.
[3656.25] Dominic: It's not the rehydration that, well, I mean, it partly is because obviously it's fluid based, right?
[3663.75] Dominic: But yeah, I mean, it shouldn't be leaking out in the first place is what the problem is.
[3667.65] Dominic: That's the underlying root cause of the situation.
[3670.35] Dominic: It's not supposed to be leaking, but it does.
[3672.85] Dominic: Yeah, what are you going to do?
[3674.45] Dominic: So the way that they fix it is they take a needle, they stick it in your spine and they, sorry,
[3680.55] Dominic: they take some of your blood, then put it in a needle and then stick that needle in your spine.
[3684.75] Dominic: And then they inject your blood into your spine and it's supposed to fill up the holes.
[3689.25] Dominic: This may yet happen in my life, I don't know.
[3691.35] Dominic: But the last time they stuck needles in my spine, it sucked.

[3716.85] Dominic: Down here in south of Spain, near Malaga, it doesn't snow at ground level very often.
[3724.05] Dominic: There is a mountain that I can see if I go down just not far up the road, which did have snow in it about four years ago.
[3731.55] Dominic: And I can see mountains with snow on them at Sierra Nevada.
[3734.75] Dominic: If I look sort of over the sea to past Malaga and up into the distance, you can see the mountains with snow on them.
[3741.45] Dominic: But it doesn't snow at ground level down here.
[3744.35] Tony: So you're heating bills and stuff have been fine.
[3747.45] Dominic: It's not like UK ones now and I got solar this year as well.
[3750.45] Dominic: No.
[3750.95] Dominic: So, how nice.

[3753.95] Tony: I looked at solar, it was far too expensive.

[3758.45] Dominic: Yeah, I got a 10 kilowatt battery and 18 panels.
[3760.95] Dominic: So I got an 8.7 kilowatt system.

[3768.75] Stephen: You were doing maintenance on someone else's solar on the previous show, weren't you clambering around on solar rigs?

[3777.15] Dominic: No, it's great.
[3777.65] Dominic: I mean, out here in Spain, it makes a lot of sense.
[3779.25] Dominic: But solar in England, because now it's December out here and you get a bit of cloud cover.
[3784.25] Dominic: So it's like, it's worse than this every day in the UK.
[3788.85] Dominic: And like, I'm getting no solar generation whatsoever.
[3791.55] Dominic: My heart bleeds for you, Dom.
[3793.35] Dominic: You can't sell solar panels in England.
[3795.85] Dominic: It's just like, no.
[3797.75] Stephen: You laugh, but we got up to 40 degrees this summer, which was kind of unheard of.
[3802.15] Dominic: Yeah, but it's not the temperature, and the solar panels don't work well when there's a big temperature differential.
[3807.25] Dominic: So, no, bad.
[3809.85] Dominic: You want solar panels with a good temperature coefficient.
[3813.35] Dominic: That's what I learnt when I was looking it up.
[3815.35] Tony: And a big battery, because it's pointless.
[3818.05] Stephen: And you need the government to actually subsidise it rather than view renewable power as a treat for rich people
[3824.45] Stephen: rather than economic policy.
[3826.15] Stephen: Well, the Spanish government.
[3827.15] Tony: If they only put it on all houses facing south in the UK, like subsidise that and just put it to the grid.
[3837.15] Dominic: I think the heat pumps thing actually looking at it is probably a better thing for England, the English government, to actually subsidise.
[3842.65] Dominic: Yeah.
[3843.15] Dominic: Because I was looking at heat pumps.
[3844.15] Dominic: Some people round here are heat pumps.
[3845.15] Dominic: The efficiency of the heat pumps, because I didn't even know what they were.
[3847.55] Dominic: I'm like, what the f*** is this heat pump stuff that everybody's talking about?
[3850.15] Dominic: Excuse my French.
[3850.65] Dominic: The first fridge.
[3852.15] Dominic: Yeah.
[3852.65] Dominic: And yeah, exactly reverse fridge.
[3854.35] Dominic: I'm like, oh, oh, I thought it was something else.
[3856.55] Dominic: In my head, I thought it was like some pipe that's sticking to ground and it pumps heat up out the ground or something.
[3860.95] Stephen: But, you know, well, it is and it isn't.
[3862.85] Stephen: So there's air source heat pumps and ground source, ground source.
[3867.45] Stephen: If you've got the property space for it, you get a constant temperature differential throughout the seasons between, say, 10 or 15 metres underground and your house.
[3878.05] Stephen: And you can use that temperature differential more effectively than just going from air temperature to inside the house.
[3885.25] Stephen: And that's what I thought they all were.
[3886.65] Dominic: But yeah, it is a reverse air conditioner, exactly.
[3889.65] Dominic: So that makes a lot more sense because of the efficiency stuff.
[3891.85] Dominic: But the things are so expensive to get a decent one because the cheap ones.
[3896.25] Dominic: And they're big.
[3897.45] Dominic: Yeah, well, it's like an aircon unit, basically.
[3900.75] Stephen: But they're bigger than an aircon unit.
[3903.35] Stephen: Some people round here have them and they're attached directly onto the side of the house.
[3908.65] Stephen: So they make it look quite small.
[3911.35] Tony: You can you can use them for aircon in the summer.
[3914.75] Stephen: Well, so the people that I asked about this and the models they're selling here are heating only.
[3920.25] Stephen: They're not cooling, which makes me feel like people.
[3922.65] Stephen: I didn't know that, Tom.
[3923.95] Stephen: I'm going to have to look it up.
[3925.85] Tony: Yeah, you definitely want to buy the one what's heating and cooling.

[3960.65] Dominic: But the problem is the supply chain at the moment.
[3963.65] Dominic: Great mark and the well, there's there's two things one.
[3971.15] Dominic: This supply chain and is screwed in the price of the MC uses is quite frankly ridiculous.
[3977.15] Dominic: I used to buy an eight seven SDM 32 for three euros fifty.
[3984.25] Dominic: I looked today early before this live stream and they were fifteen euros for an eight seven fifty
[3994.45] Dominic: nine eight seven thirty eight seven four three.
[3997.25] Dominic: Sorry, an eight seven fifty, which is old.
[4000.75] Dominic: The eight seven eight seven thirties unobtainium and they're stupidly overpriced.
[4006.75] Dominic: Now, they used to be like less than three less than four dollars each for those things
[4011.35] Dominic: that for five and twenty megahertz amazing processors.
[4014.65] Dominic: Absolutely amazing.
[4016.25] Stephen: Have you looked outside of SDM 32?
[4019.65] Dominic: Maybe I have.
[4023.95] Dominic: But there are still supply chain issues with those things and also it's not a simple proposition.

[4040.45] Dominic: You might be referring to the China clones here as opposed to different architectures
[4044.55] Stephen: or yeah, not saying put MIPS in but something that is similar to an SDM 32 for a while.
[4053.45] Stephen: I've been looking at the because you went from F1 to F3 to F4 to F7.
[4059.15] Stephen: Yeah, but that's a logic for me with the errata and awkwardness.
[4062.55] Stephen: But so a lot of people looking at other clones of SDM 32 like giga devices.
[4069.35] Stephen: Artery Tech, this type of stuff.
[4071.15] Dominic: The only reason you would ever install like a clone of an SDM processor is if you wanted
[4077.15] Dominic: to save a couple of bucks bucks at manufacturing.
[4079.65] Dominic: It is not a solution for the software developers because now they have to support hardware.
[4084.65] Dominic: That's not the word.
[4085.35] Dominic: It doesn't work like it's supposed to work because it's a clone and it's broken.
[4089.35] Stephen: Right. And the original hardware never works exactly like it was supposed to work because
[4093.25] Stephen: you had to read all the errata.
[4094.75] Dominic: And now all the developers are having to run around just because a couple of manufacturers
