[295.66] Curry: It's got a decent antenna.
[299.66] Curry: Yeah I expect to use that mostly.
[301.66] Curry: It's only if I'm using something that's legacy and is on like free sky or something.

[314.66] Jack: It's like you know part of me is just like oh smaller smaller form factor.

[323.66] Jack: But like what what's annoying the piss out of me is having a million modules and having ghost and then having an express LRS module and then having a TPS crossfire module for the planes.
[341.66] Jack: And I'm just like I'm going to go out.
[346.66] Jack: You know I'm like I'm going to move over from ghost to the LRS because I can't I can't get any receivers.
[358.66] Jack: So I'm just like and like none of the Lewis script works for the transmitters.
[367.66] Curry: So you could always move your ghost onto the LRS I believe I don't want to do that.
[375.66] Curry: It is it is nice to have something that you can standardize on.
[379.66] Curry: It's like a bit like when the Tyrannus first came out and XM pluses were like this is brilliant.
[385.66] Curry: I just put an XM plus and everything and I'm all good.
[387.66] Curry: And now it's it's kind of like OK let's rip all those out and put LRS receivers in because they update and it's really handy.
[395.66] Curry: I kind of like the fact that let's say I'm I'm using the boxer and then I take a couple of quads and one of them's got a free sky receiver in.
[404.66] Curry: So I take a different radio that's got two modules in the fact I don't have this.
[409.66] Curry: This is more of a me thing. I don't feel anybody else has got like six radio sitting behind them.
[415.66] Curry: I have to take another radio and then I can I don't have to read.
[420.66] Curry: I don't have to rebind it or anything. I can just go out and fly it still.

[515.66] Jack: So this plugs in and your E LRS can connect to it so you don't have any horrible Bluetooth lag or anything.
[523.66] Jack: It just plugs in and works. So he put one of those up and I sold the other one on the E LRS discord as well.

[550.66] Jack: I don't know whether you got to the bit of the podcast with fail safe or we started talking about the F1 and the lack of you arts and stuff.
[560.66] Curry: Yes I felt you kind of cheated a little bit because you got Steven to make the latest possible beta flight he could.
[568.66] Curry: Whereas I flew Marley 10 year old quad and I used an original version of clean flight.
[574.66] Curry: So I thought I was a little bit more pure there not to you know. Yeah. Don't don't get me wrong.

[596.66] Jack: Look the reason why I went for that was because apparently there's some Cobra motors if I can meet up with Oscar Lang and get those.
[608.66] Jack: But I I wanted to build the best quad the capstone if you like of the tech because Frank's got Frank and Tony have both got quads from there with like the board camera.
[625.66] Jack: And like the basic stuff and you could flash you could flash it right back to when that first came out.

[728.84] Jack: So that you've actually got BL Heli and it actually gives you like what is it called damp and light you know active braking.

[768.84] Jack: And the reason why I've done that was because then that allows you to see what the ultimate thing the F1 could do.

[780.84] Jack: So it means that you can loan the model and more people can like plug and you know borrow your module plug it in have a go.
[788.84] Jack: You know and sort of you know sort of like get that experience because I'd love to see Farrel safe and go.
[797.84] Jack: Like I would pay he'd be like what is this. Do you reckon you could fly anything that probably probably go up and down.
[806.84] Curry: Because all this like doing like flips and stuff at three feet off the ground it's like it's just like that's it.

[821.84] Curry: And if you're diving you have to start full throttling about four seconds before you think it's going to hit the floor just for it to pull up again.
[828.84] Jack: Yeah. I mean the true thing would be to turn off air mode and be like don't go to zero for all and just have you like you know freak out.

[850.84] Jack: Yeah you used to have to do idle up and then Stevens like what the hell idle up and all this sort of thing.

[862.84] Jack: You know like we used to have to bump the throttle up a bit via a switch.
[868.84] Jack: So that the gyro would run all the time at zero throttle.
[874.84] Jack: I don't know if I say it's like what what you want about there.
[879.84] Jack: Yeah. You used to have the whole thing where I mean people used to have these to be like a little button.
[885.84] Jack: You'd click and you know like when you arm the motors just gently spin.
[890.84] Jack: There used to be a button to turn that off.
[893.84] Jack: So there would be this sort of like group of people who would would have their quad armed and you wouldn't know it was armed.
[904.84] Jack: Oh dear.
[906.84] Jack: The motors would just sit there and you would knock the throttle or think it's disarmed and then it would just rip your face off.
[913.84] Jack: And I remember just being like you know people requesting that I do that feature.
[920.84] Jack: And I was just like I'm going to put like every 20 second beep on your transmitter just to let you know like 10 seconds.
[930.84] Jack: Like you just chirp once to be like by the way you're armed.
[934.84] Curry: To be fair I still do that.
[936.84] Curry: I still have air mode on a switch.
[938.84] Curry: I don't like always air mode because I got used to air mode being absolutely crap when he came to land.
[943.84] Curry: It just bounced around and I had to be very accurate in my landings.
[947.84] Curry: They also would just go in a puddle all the long grass and stuff.
[950.84] Curry: But that was that was a feature of either clean flight or beater flight.
[954.84] Curry: When you armed it it would it would chirp on its own.
[957.84] Curry: You didn't have to do anything on the radio.
[959.84] Curry: So that way you wouldn't just accidentally hit the throttle or pick it up and say wave it and stuff and cut your finger off.
