[283.63] Stephen: no way a brushed f3 yep so there's three brushed quads on the front row everything else is brushless
[292.03] Stephen: um and pretty much everything is is on the latest release there's a couple of f3s that i've held
[298.27] Stephen: back but pretty much all of these are running beta flight if not 4.4 then definitely 4.3
[304.59] Stephen: except for the obvious one in the the center row center back i know you can tell i like
[312.11] Stephen: micros though right there's really not much space to fly anything other than micros around here so
[316.83] Stephen: micros are the order of the day yeah there's a lot of them so me and me and fail safe we're
[322.43] Jack: chatting afterwards and um we're going to try and kind of get together with you cool but yeah
[331.07] Stephen: there's there's a few interesting ones in there a few bits and pieces there's a a naked vista in
[336.59] Stephen: there i don't know you can't see my mouse pointer it's just about and then an h1 hd0 system we've
[343.63] Stephen: got all three uh dgi hd0 and walk snail represented here in this collection as well as a healthy amount
[351.31] Stephen: of analog as well it's probably about 10 analog down there yeah all sorts yeah so i kind of looked
[358.99] Stephen: at this and thought does this tell me anything about what i fly and what i've noticed is there's
[363.15] Stephen: one conspicuous absence from here and that is cine whoops and apparently i really don't like
[368.27] Stephen: flying cine whoops because the closest i got was to build a two and a half inch ducted quad and i
[373.63] Stephen: just thought oh this is terrible i hate flying this and i and i never repeated that so there's
[378.75] Stephen: a couple of quads there with split cameras there's one in one which is actually isn't here
[384.59] Stephen: that i i i've been repairing that's a four inch with a split and there's a gap RC uh i think it's
[390.43] Stephen: a sig net three with a run cam split which is quite good fun and i've i've done a little bit
[396.19] Stephen: of filming but generally i just go for dvr and almost all of the serious filming i've done is
[402.11] Stephen: this guy on the right with the the orange tpu parts and the blue propellers and that enough
[409.55] Stephen: that i can carry one of those insta 360 smo 4ks that beta fpv did which is like a stripped down
[417.95] Stephen: 4k action cam that runs off your lipo with a beck and that works really well for most of the kind
[425.71] Stephen: of hg footage that i wanted to capture and i can get something like eight minutes flying off a
[430.83] Stephen: 750 mar 4s which is pretty nice so i just cruise around with that and take all the little scenic
[436.83] Jack: pictures um john h says uh can you show us your favorite small god favorite small one sheesh um
[449.95] Stephen: well right now i guess it's the one i fly the most and so i think it's the same as we were
[455.07] Stephen: looking at last week really it comes down to well the ones that are here um are flying this alpha
[463.07] Stephen: rc and they are just a clone frame i don't know what this is a clone of alpha rc fi 115 is the
[469.71] Stephen: frame with emacs avant 2.5 props and this guy is an analog build with a baby ratel it's got
[479.07] Stephen: an all-in-one kind of 400 milliwatt standard analog vtx it's got a flyru f405 with a gps
[486.51] Stephen: tiny gps with a 12 millimeter antenna and that's just enough to mess around in the park and the
[493.07] Stephen: ratel i find is about the best experience that i've had off an analog camera just really nice for
[498.99] Stephen: doing a few stunts um you're not going to be racing on it because it's got wdr it's
[503.63] Stephen: maybe a little bit slower than a racer would choose but it's just a really pleasurable
[507.71] Stephen: throw it around the park cruising mild acro experience yeah so that's the go-to one i do i
[514.83] Jack: do need a recommendation of um i think it's a two inch build or a two and a half inch build and the
[523.63] Jack: size of motors i've got are 1105 yeah that works okay my other my other build using that frame is
[536.19] Stephen: an 1105 one second yeah no worries yeah you might have to send me the link for that yes i'm
[545.62] Stephen: these are i don't think you can buy these anymore do you remember you used to get hglrc flame
[550.42] Stephen: purple motors yeah well that's them on on this one with walk snail which is essentially the
[557.22] Stephen: same as the one i showed you just now but it's a digital walk snail build so 1105 works works
[562.9] Stephen: great generally 1103 you need to go down to buy blades and anything kind of 1106 is a bit too
[571.22] Jack: heavy cool sorry oh they kind of old dys or something uh what kv they are uh 75 i think
[583.06] Stephen: 7500 78 75 now 2s i guess those those motors are a bit odd because you can run like a
[592.18] Stephen: 6000 kv on 4s or two and a half inch prop without burning it but you kind of get to a point where
[600.26] Stephen: all that extra screaming isn't really making you go any faster yeah so i used to run 4s just for
[606.42] Stephen: the hell of it just to get crazy like response on punch outs but after a while i realized it was
[611.54] Stephen: kind of just making noise and not doing a lot which is also what i had today i was testing out
[616.9] Stephen: a new board a happier model one with uh with new gyro and that guy i'd forgotten on toothpicks
[625.3] Stephen: i had buy blades on this these old you remember the old bendy bendy prop by blades they were all
[630.82] Stephen: the rage a couple of years ago people were like oh my word you can get this new prop size it's not
[635.06] Stephen: two and a half inches 65 millimeter it's totally different and and you get this kind of prop that
[641.06] Stephen: was just completely bendy on the ends and when you went above about half throttle it just whistled
[650.26] Stephen: flowed flats out yeah completely deflected and so that's what i was trying to figure out today i was
[656.9] Stephen: like why the heck can't i tune this thing is it a bad gyro no it's not a bad gyro i replaced the
[662.74] Stephen: that the screws into the stack from the plastic nylon ones i had to metal i said oh why won't
[668.98] Stephen: you work why won't you work i just want to test this board out and it was the props here's the
[673.06] Stephen: props i'd forgotten how bad they were i just had this moment of recollection where i looked at
[678.18] Stephen: everything on the wall like everything on this picture it's like oh yeah i i don't really have
[683.62] Stephen: buy blades why did i not oh yeah they they all the buy blades i had down in two and a half inch
[690.98] Stephen: they'd all flatten out and they were useless so i only run the buy blades on the really ultra
[696.98] Stephen: light stuff where i'm not going to be jamming the throttle hard enough to deflect them
[702.18] Jack: yeah i i don't know uh the guitar pick hmm i don't know i'm wondering if i could use a
[710.66] Jack: small nj's frame yeah three inch halo guitar pick hmm 1105 would take buy blades on three
[719.78] Stephen: inch or you could get some decent chunky tri blades on a two and a half inch yeah i'm wondering if
[726.98] Jack: like the the three inch apex or fair but i don't know with an apex frame you're going to be carrying
[734.74] Stephen: a lot more weight and you probably want to go up to something like a 1404 or even more
[742.1] Stephen: yeah because the apex three inch is pretty much just an arm shrink on on the bigger apexes there's
[748.34] Stephen: that's probably still kind of a 60 gram frame if you think about the guitar pick that's more like
[753.62] Jack: a 20 gram frame yeah yeah maybe i'll maybe i will have a look toothpick 25 by 25 i thought it was
[766.9] Stephen: 20 by 20 25.5 by 25.5 having gone through the mill on this one yeah off from the original
[777.14] Stephen: of what they called those those ancient the the ancient uh kind of f zero boards
[784.74] Stephen: completely blanking on them the origin the original toy quads that everyone started putting
[790.74] Stephen: cameras on those were 25.5 and it just carried on from there that's play dementia can anyone say in

[807.3] Stephen: the inductrix inductrix that's the one i was trying to figure this out with fail safety
[811.78] Stephen: of the week i was having serious blanks how can you not remember i think i um i was always too
[819.46] Stephen: cheap to look at stuff like that so one of the reasons i've got this kind of army is you don't
[825.62] Stephen: have many quads but you buy like premium components i buy garbage blade that was one
[832.66] Stephen: of the inductrix the blade i don't know if that was because inductrix then went on to do a whole
[839.54] Stephen: load of open arm designs as well i think as well as the original one yeah i can't i can't get anybody
[851.78] Jack: uh yeah i just i can't get the apexes of the light and hardware and they say the inductrix fbv bnf

[909.14] Stephen: actually downsized it to a 65 just to shave off a bit of weight and be able to fly through smaller
[913.94] Jack: gaps because i wasn't getting great flight time anyway oh look look what the cat dragged in

[1030.37] Stephen: know something went wrong the actor suffered serious facial disfigurement and his wound
[1035.33] Stephen: required 20 to 30 stitches that's a lot it's a lot of stitches that is because mine was like seven
[1043.01] Stephen: in my face oh quite small face the attorney thank you sorry a spokesperson for the production team
[1055.49] Stephen: told local media that safety precautions were followed during the shoot and the drone's
[1060.37] Stephen: propellers were shielded by a protective cover there was no drone explosion or blades shattering
[1066.93] Stephen: unfortunately for unknown reasons the drone accidentally hit the cheekbone area of co's
[1071.97] Stephen: face and caused injuries 20 to 30 stitches just with a ducted drone in the cheekbone i mean yeah
[1080.61] Stephen: it's a bit that's that's a lot fair and safe where are you what are you doing hello hello hello

[1124.21] Stephen: a problem not a big problem but with the the two smallest size of radio master master's latest
[1130.93] Stephen: premium express LRS modules it turns out if you want which is what they were advertising
[1139.47] Stephen: and if you plug in an xd30 then what is happening is you are connecting that battery
[1146.19] Stephen: not just to the module but to the pin that goes into the back of your radio to the battery
[1152.75] Stephen: so you you are accidentally like passing that battery power back into the radio and so there's
[1160.91] Stephen: a chance there obviously if the batteries are different levels or if for whatever reason your
[1166.59] Stephen: radio is supplying a different voltage to the regular 2s voltage then you're going to end up
[1173.47] Stephen: with a ton of current flying through those little pins and something's going to burn out and
[1177.95] Stephen: normally there's supposed to be a diode in place so power can get from the radio into the module
[1183.79] Stephen: but power from the module doesn't go back into the radio and they forgot the diode basically so
[1189.39] Stephen: if you've got the big chunky one with the screen and the gamepad and the embedded
[1193.39] Stephen: textures or whatever they've managed to fit in there that's fine that's got a diode
[1197.63] Stephen: but these two smaller versions do not plug an xd30 battery into them do not pass go just use them
[1204.67] Stephen: at their normal like 500 milliwatt power output that's going to get you 10 miles anyway what are
[1210.59] Stephen: you even doing what are you trying to do are you cold buy a hand warmer like that that's pretty
[1217.47] Failsafe: much the yeah i don't know why i don't actually know why people well i see little reason to plug
[1224.03] Failsafe: an external battery into those modules when they can only do one watt anyways like i powered
[1229.55] Failsafe: i used to have a one watt neat and what's it called the media RC module and i just run that
[1235.79] Failsafe: off my radio without issues at all so i guess it might be for some of those smaller radios where
[1240.51] Stephen: you've only got one battery you buy good radios fail safe some of us buy absolute garbage like
[1246.67] Stephen: myself with my tea light if i turn my tea light on to 250 milliwatt it starts beeping at me and

[1735.15] Jack: this um safety notice oh you got four ideas when when testing the when testing a bench calibrating
[1742.83] Jack: the eses remember to remove the propellers always turn transmitter on before the receiver
[1748.43] Jack: and turn the receiver off before the transmitter use firmware at your own risk

[1763.31] Jack: receiver test good luck with that and then there's the mode self-leveling or auto disarm
[1771.79] Jack: yes it will automatically disarm 20 seconds
[1776.43] Jack: later flights than you would have the throw is set to zero no if lost model alarm is set to yes
[1783.07] Jack: then you can't switch auto disarm off channel map no with the standard receiver it's generally
[1790.11] Jack: assumed that you will not map any channels yes swap channels using order receiver channel map
