[138.26] Tony: And they were delivered within two days. China line hobby.

[149.26] Tony: And then the new X-class is going to be 12S running to 6S.

[159.26] Tony: So I just thought, you know, I'll have a go for 92 pounds and get delivered to your door.

[171.26] Stephen: I looked on the site and there were some that were like, some sizes were three quid or something.

[181.26] Stephen: And the stock list was just like changing as I was looking at the site.

[187.26] Tony: Well, I normally fly 1600 4S and the 1500s was what I got, which were a little bit lighter.
[195.26] Tony: And they're actually quite, quite light.
[197.26] Tony: But, you know, when you go out and fly your new batteries, they take a little while to set it in.
[202.26] Tony: So I wasn't getting, I was getting three minutes flight time, not the three and a half, nearly four that I normally get.
[210.26] Tony: But you need to sort of run them in a little bit, don't you?
[213.26] Stephen: You get that like surprise ending, don't you, where it just falls off the cliff.
[216.26] Tony: They stay good for ages, like they at the start.
[219.26] Tony: And then they run a minute and then they're really good for, I don't know, two years and then they crash.
[225.26] Stephen: Yeah.
[226.26] Tony: So, but they seemed all right and they look pretty good.
[229.26] Tony: So, and for ninety two quid for six, I thought it was pretty good.
[235.26] Stephen: Can't go wrong.
[236.26] Stephen: Well, you finally, you got the same sort of Quaddas Jack kind of kiss five inch.
[240.26] Tony: Yeah, just, do you know what?
[242.26] Tony: If someone said, build a quab nowadays and program it, I mean, Jack went on beta flight the other day and we were like,
[250.26] Tony: what's, what's these sliding things?

[256.26] Tony: Well, if you're not on it 24 seven, you have a month out, two weeks out and you're like, what's happened?
[264.26] Tony: So, yeah, I just don't know.
[267.26] Stephen: I do find there's a lot of reading involved and I know some folks, you know, not so good with the reading.
[272.26] Stephen: I can understand the pain because it's either read some documentation or watch four hours of videos to decipher what's going on.
[280.26] Stephen: Ain't nobody got time for that.

[284.26] Tony: So, yeah, I don't know.
[286.26] Tony: I just went and rebooked my flying field, which is basically where I play airsoft and where I also now do Coco's agility.
[300.26] Tony: So it's all in the same spot just down the road.
[304.26] Tony: And I just went out and flew.
[305.26] Tony: I think it was a Monday.
[306.26] Tony: It was just a really nice afternoon and there was no sun.
[310.26] Tony: And it was just nice to get out and just sorry, there was sun, no clouds or rain is what I meant to say, because we've had a lot of that.
[319.26] Tony: So I just went out and just thought, I'm going to go for a fly and sat up there on my own and had a fly.
[325.26] Tony: It was nice just to get the goggles down and get me thumbs back on the sticks.
[330.26] Tony: Yeah.
[331.26] Tony: I really enjoyed it.
[332.26] Stephen: I'm glad you managed to get out there in between the rain.
[335.26] Stephen: I thought I was going to get kind of a rain free week and I foolishly didn't just run out there instantly.
[341.26] Stephen: And it started raining on me.
[343.26] Stephen: So I may have missed my window.
[346.26] Tony: Yeah.
[347.26] Tony: March has been absolutely horrific.
[350.57] Stephen: I did a wee bit of building, a massive kind of run of stuff that had been sitting on my bench for ages.
[358.57] Stephen: I had this shoulder nerve trapped in my shoulder.
[361.57] Stephen: It's been stupid painful with a bunch of referred pain down my arm.
[365.57] Stephen: So bits of my random parts of my right arm have just started hurting for no good reason.
[370.57] Stephen: And put me in an awful mood and generally made any sort of work that requires using arms or even like sitting pretty uncomfortable.
[378.57] Stephen: But that's thanks to lots of physio and stretching and all this good stuff's finally subsiding.
[384.57] Stephen: So I decided to pick up some of the stack of stuff I've had here for ages.
[389.57] Stephen: And I went on this ESC flashing rampage and tore through like three, four and ones,
[394.57] Stephen: did 27 individual solder joints and flashed AM32 onto them.
[398.57] Stephen: Because I've been extolling the benefits of this thing for ages and just kind of had my finger up my bum and not actually flashing it.
[405.57] Stephen: So that's done.
[406.57] Stephen: And then I got an SP racing board from Dom as a sample a while ago.
[412.57] Stephen: Yes.
[413.57] Stephen: Well, I've got a couple coming apparently.
[415.57] Stephen: And I've put it in the most ridiculously small micro possible.
[418.57] Stephen: So this is like an H7 in there because it's the only one I had an analog VTX in.
[424.57] Stephen: Everything else, anything bigger than this is digital.
[427.57] Stephen: And this is like the biggest quad I've got that is analog.
[432.57] Stephen: And because of that, it's still got a stack, whereas everything else is AIO.
[437.57] Stephen: So I got it in there and I've slowly sort of been going through repinning so many JSTs.
[445.57] Stephen: And then then you plug them in and he's got these super wide like 12 pin JSTs.
[452.57] Stephen: And so if you get one of them not quite right, you like shove in the JST and the pin pops back.
[459.57] Stephen: So after much trial and error, everything is finally connected properly.
[463.57] Stephen: And it's starting to bear fruit, which is good.
[467.57] Stephen: Yeah, lots of random geekery without that we won't go into.
[471.57] Stephen: And then my little four inch jobby.
[476.57] Stephen: That's got one that I actually put one of these new season.
[479.57] Stephen: And I'm looking forward to getting out with that.
[481.57] Stephen: But alas, yeah, I just farted around for too long.
[484.57] Stephen: And now it started raining on me, which sucks.

[492.57] Tony: March has been absolutely just a washout.

[505.57] Stephen: It's slowly turning into a lake.

[512.57] Tony: I will turn it in my walk three and a half miles every day to a ride.
[517.57] Tony: So I do a ride, a walk, a ride, a walk.
[519.57] Tony: And I've been walking a lot in March because I went out for a ride.
[524.57] Tony: And it was just I was just like, this is this is horrendous.
[527.57] Tony: It's too muddy.

[531.57] Stephen: And then all of a sudden you like pedal and the wheels spin and you're not going forward.
[535.57] Stephen: Yeah, this is going to be uncomfortable.

[539.57] Tony: It's just literally for keeping fit.
[542.57] Tony: So it's pretty flat.
[543.57] Tony: Well, it's actually mostly uphill, but it's it's just foggy and horrible.

[556.57] Stephen: And I've been playing a bunch of trip on this FPV simulator.

[594.57] Stephen: You get racing cars and lots of Sims have racing cars to follow these days.
[598.57] Stephen: But they went kind of above and beyond.
[600.57] Stephen: And there's all sorts of weird stuff.
[601.57] Stephen: So it's not just racing cars.
[603.57] Stephen: There's there's motocross bikes.
[606.57] Stephen: There's people doing like paragliding.
[609.57] Stephen: There's people doing like flying squirrel suit jumps off off cliffs.
[614.57] Stephen: So it like spawn you right next to a guy as he jumps off the cliff and you've got to like dive with him down the cliff and then it'll level out and you try and follow him through valleys.
[622.57] Tony: Apparently, it's really good graphics and it's running on his old laptop.
[626.57] Tony: And he said it's really good.
[628.57] Tony: Yeah.
[629.57] Stephen: Yeah.
[630.57] Stephen: There's snow level recently.
[631.57] Stephen: And so you've got your skiers and snowboarders and they've got the big old ski jumps as well.
[635.57] Stephen: So you can like bomb down those giant the Olympic, you know, the huge ramps.
[641.57] Stephen: They've got big concrete ramps and follow people down those.
[645.57] Stephen: That's quite a good laugh.
[647.57] Stephen: There was a little bug with controllers as well.
[649.57] Stephen: So I actually went on to their their forum and spent a while chatting to the guys.
[654.57] Stephen: And they're really nice bunch that got straight hold of the developer.
[658.57] Stephen: And he was like, oh, yeah, let's look at the logs.
[660.57] Stephen: Let's fix that.
[661.57] Stephen: So it was detecting my keyboard and not showing me my radio unless I like unplug the keyboard,
[667.57] Stephen: left it disconnected and then unplugged and replugged the radio.
[671.57] Stephen: And we fixed that and he's put a new build out.
[673.57] Stephen: So, yeah, it seems like a really nice bunch of people.

[997.88] Stephen: And I thought they're kind of OK, but after weighing them a bit more, the pressure isn't

[1005.88] Stephen: But opinion seems to be divided on the fit.

[1010.88] Curry: I mean, it's interesting, isn't it?
[1012.88] Curry: It's hard to build a goggle for an average face when an average face is different between

[1022.88] Stephen: You get the Asian faceplate and the European faceplate.
[1026.88] Stephen: Oh, actual plates rather than just a spongy bit.

[1029.88] Stephen: They're like clip on.
[1030.88] Stephen: So the goggles have like a clip on the front and it actually snaps on the faceplate and
[1034.88] Stephen: then the foam attaches to the snap on bit.
[1037.88] Curry: That's quite cool.

[1042.88] Stephen: I was ferreting around to find things.
[1045.88] Stephen: Things I tell you that I've used to do flashing with.
[1049.88] Stephen: Bobby Bags asks.
[1051.88] Stephen: Bobby Bags asks, I want to know how to flash AM32, Stephen.
[1055.88] Stephen: And the answer is, it's not easy, but you will need a firmware programmer for a lot
[1060.88] Stephen: of the new ESCs.
[1061.88] Stephen: They run artery tech MCUs and you need this, which is an artery tech one.
[1065.88] Stephen: It's the easiest way.
[1066.88] Stephen: And then you solder two pads that are not going to really show up on here.
[1071.88] Stephen: If you've ever done whoop soldering work, you can do it.
[1076.88] Stephen: You look on your ESC and there's going to be some pads next to the big square chips in
[1081.88] Stephen: the middle of the ESC.
[1082.88] Stephen: There's two pads next to each of those.
[1084.88] Stephen: Those are the pads that you're going to be soldering to.
[1086.88] Stephen: So if you're not comfortable doing some pretty delicate soldering, you know, maybe think
[1091.88] Stephen: twice about that.
[1092.88] Stephen: A lot of the older ESCs, you can use these ST-Link adapters that are like 4 quid on eBay
[1098.88] Stephen: and they're really easy to get hold of.
[1100.88] Stephen: And the software is much easier for these.
[1102.88] Stephen: But the new ones are using these cheapo clone chips from artery tech and others.
[1106.88] Stephen: And I have to say, the software is a little bit harder, a little bit more of a pain to
[1110.88] Stephen: flash.
[1111.88] Stephen: But it's doable.
[1112.88] Stephen: It's just a patience and reading thing.
[1115.88] Stephen: The information's out there.
[1116.88] Stephen: It's just a small hassle.
[1119.88] Curry: So that used to be the way you had to do BL Heli.
[1121.88] Curry: Do you think in the future they'll have a pass through from beta flight or wherever
[1125.88] Curry: and you could flash them that way?
[1128.88] Stephen: Yes, bootloader exactly, as Jack said.
[1131.88] Stephen: So the trouble with a lot of the 32-bit ESCs for all of them practically is that they ship
[1137.88] Stephen: with BL Heli 32.
[1139.88] Stephen: And BL Heli 32 locks down their bootloader so you can't overwrite it with another
[1144.88] Stephen: firmware.
[1145.88] Stephen: They want you to stay on BL Heli 32.
[1147.88] Stephen: So what you do is the first step to move to AM32 is you push in an open source bootloader
[1152.88] Stephen: that's basically the same as what you'd have on BL Heli S or BlueJ.
[1156.88] Stephen: It's a bootloader that you can write to you from anything, not just from the BL Heli 32
[1161.88] Stephen: client.
[1162.88] Stephen: So it moves you off the closed source bootloader onto an open source bootloader.
[1165.88] Stephen: And that is where you need to do that, that soldering with the tiny pads.
[1168.88] Stephen: And once you've done that, you can just use pass through.
[1171.88] Stephen: And you can use ESC configurator, the same as you'd used Flash BlueJ, and it's a piece
[1176.88] Stephen: of cake.
[1178.88] Jack: But don't you then lose the ability to flash back to BL Heli 32?
[1183.88] Jack: Yes, it's a one-way trip.
[1186.88] Stephen: One-way trip, yes.
[1188.88] Tony: Sometimes they're the best.
[1191.88] Stephen: Yes, I mean they actually update it just regularly to add things like they recently

[1221.88] Stephen: And he went in there and he was like, okay, I'm going to have a specific mode for
[1225.88] Stephen: quads so you can tell it that I'm always going to be in DSHOT mode and I'll never
[1230.88] Stephen: accidentally start up in PWM mode because this is what used to happen.
[1234.88] Stephen: Sometimes there would be a timeout between the ESC and the flight controller.
[1237.88] Stephen: The ESC would be like, nothing happening, nothing.
[1240.88] Stephen: Oh, well, no DSHOT, must be PWM.
[1242.88] Stephen: Oh, a high pulse, off I go.
[1245.88] Stephen: And you just fly to the moon and chop your hand up or whatever.
[1250.88] Stephen: So, yeah, the guy implemented a setting to lock it to DSHOT and he also like increased
[1256.88] Stephen: the timeouts and made it safer.
[1259.88] Stephen: So he's just more proactive and he's like listening to people and lots of people who want
[1264.88] Stephen: to run the ESCs and crawlers, he's put features in for crawlers so it can overcome
[1269.88] Stephen: stalls and slowly increase the power until the wheel moves.
[1272.88] Stephen: But if you run a quad, you can turn that off and you can have like a stuck motor
[1277.88] Stephen: protection.
[1278.88] Stephen: So he's got much more aggressive stuck motor protection.
[1281.88] Stephen: So if you do go and clip a gate or something, it'll just pull power from the ESC really
[1286.88] Stephen: quickly instead of, you know, burning out the fat.
[1289.88] Tony: That used to be a massive thing back in the day, didn't it?
[1292.88] Tony: Clip a tree, clip a gate, ESC gone.
[1297.88] Stephen: I accidentally stuck mine in an oak tree for about 10 minutes and I was trying to like

[2575.79] Stephen: BT2 or there's GMB 27 and the ongoing argument about BT2 being lighter but GMB 27 being better
[2584.51] Stephen: or just go balls to the wall and put X-T30s on it.

[2589.99] Stephen: Just get a 2S lipo that comes with an X-T30 and it's all so much simpler.

[2806.3] Stephen: It looked great until I got to connect the VTX and I realised I'd been so spoiled by all these boards that come with everything on board.
[2815.3] Stephen: You've got your receiver, the ESCs and the flight controller and the VTX.
[2821.3] Stephen: And you literally plug a camera in, plug motors and you'll go.
[2825.3] Stephen: And it was so much easier.
[2828.3] Tony: I think that was my last build. My Tomahawk 7-inch was literally, you soldered the motors on and that was it.
[2840.3] Tony: It was done. I was like, wow, this is something I could do.
[2849.3] Tony: Yeah, going backwards. Not good.
[2854.3] Stephen: With whoops especially, you just get off the ground so much quicker.
[2858.3] Stephen: Soldering a VTX onto a whoop board. Oh my word.
[2862.3] Stephen: It was a level of pain that I'd forgotten, that I had to endure.
[2867.3] Stephen: You've got to do like five wires because they decided to make it so you plug the camera into the VTX.
[2874.3] Stephen: And then the other end of the VTX, you have your video in, video out, power, ground and a UART.
[2881.3] Stephen: So five wires off of this tiny VTX all down into the FC.
[2887.3] Stephen: And they're all done in a row because V2FPV's understanding of pad layout is...
[2894.3] Stephen: Just shove them all in the corner. It was a nightmare, absolute nightmare.
[2901.3] Stephen: I remember from those.
[2903.3] Stephen: I need a wee.
[2904.3] Stephen: They give you wires, do it. And the wires all black so you've not even got colour coding.
[2909.3] Curry: Oh, what?
[2911.3] Curry: What I hate about those boards as well is they always put the pads not along the edge but inwards
[2917.3] Curry: or next to some sort of tiny electric component.
[2922.3] Curry: It's just the tightest little like, oops, my soldering iron slipped. You've taken out like four resistors.
[2927.3] Curry: Right.
[2928.3] Stephen: I've had one before where I wanted to swap the power lead.
[2932.3] Stephen: So I took off because they always ship it with like 26 gauge like bell wire on it.
[2938.3] Stephen: And so I take that out.
[2940.3] Stephen: I can get by with a PH2, but PH2 with like maybe 20 gauge or 18 gauge, just something.
[2947.3] Stephen: So at least once it gets past that PH2, it actually takes the amps to the board and doesn't just heat up my battery lead.
[2955.3] Stephen: And I tried to desolder it and getting the ground terminal hot enough.
[2960.3] Stephen: I floated off this passive that was like two millimetres next to the ground.
[2966.3] Stephen: And it's just horrible. It's horrible.
[2970.3] Stephen: I'm sure Jack would have had a whale over time with his precise repair skills, but I just lost my mind.
[2977.3] Jack: No, man, even I have my limits.
[2980.3] Jack: You know, I'm a little bit scared of, you know, I am a little bit scared of the X-Class, really,
[2990.58] Jack: because it's so big and chunky.
[2993.58] Jack: I'm I'm worried like, oh, man, I'm going to start soldering this.
[2997.58] Jack: And it is, you know, this is going to be cold solder joint from hell.
[3002.58] Jack: You know, I wonder if flux.
[3005.58] Stephen: Yeah, a hub of flux and just squish the FC down the whole board into flux.

[3013.58] Curry: You know, you're going to need a big line of solder and you just be like, OK, we're just melting, melting, melting.

[3136.94] Jack: Kerry, I saw that you went out flying and done some return to home and all that.

[3144.94] Curry: It was an answer minute thing.
[3145.94] Curry: I was testing out a VTX and I thought, oh, I've put a bit of like four four on it.
[3149.94] Curry: I should try the new rescue mode, which lands.
[3152.94] Curry: And I didn't really read anything about it.
[3154.94] Curry: I just thought I'd just try to see what happens because there's probably not that
[3157.94] Curry: much documentation on it.
[3158.94] Curry: They just say read the code or something.
[3160.94] Curry: So I decided to try it and it was very interesting slash frightening because I
[3166.94] Curry: still have took the goggles off so I could try filming with GoPro.
[3170.94] Curry: Like I was going to come at me and what happens comes up and it's like,
[3175.94] Curry: it doesn't look like it's coming like a missile.
[3177.94] Curry: So that's good.
[3178.94] Curry: And it sort of came towards me and then break to bed.
[3180.94] Curry: And then the weirdest thing, because I thought, oh, well now it's going to land.
[3183.94] Curry: But instead, it's sort of circled round.
[3185.94] Curry: It's like I'm going to get a run.
[3188.94] Curry: Is there a bit of wind?
[3190.94] Curry: It was quite windy, but I did it.
[3192.94] Curry: I did it twice.
[3193.94] Curry: I didn't film the first one and I was I was by Bush and I didn't know it was going to
[3197.94] Curry: do the circle thing.
[3198.94] Curry: So I was like, it's going to go in the bush because it doesn't necessarily circle.
[3202.94] Stephen: But I think what might have happened is it's like blown slightly ahead of where it
[3206.94] Curry: thought it was going to be actually came and stopped just beforehand.
[3209.94] Curry: I didn't know if it was trying to like it was circling because it's I'm like,
[3212.94] Curry: is it trying to work out its direction or something?
[3215.94] Curry: But it's like circle, circle, circle, circle, and it's getting low.
[3218.94] Curry: And then it just goes dump.
[3219.94] Curry: It's like, oh, it's disarmed.
[3220.94] Curry: I think that's the landing.
[3222.94] Tony: I've seen people land like that, though, to be fair.
[3225.94] Tony: What was it?
[3226.94] Tony: It's probably a better landing than most pilots.
[3229.94] Tony: Yeah, I mean, to be fair, providing my landing.
[3232.94] Tony: I come in and I'm like, oh, and I've said, I want to land properly because mostly my
[3237.94] Tony: fields are like coming off the ground.
[3241.94] Tony: I'm disarmed.
[3246.94] Curry: Here's the thing.
[3247.94] Curry: It's an interesting test to do.
[3249.94] Curry: But the only reason you'd ever do that is like, I've dropped my transmitter on the
[3253.94] Curry: floor and it's smashed up and the batteries have fallen out or something like that.
[3256.94] Curry: Otherwise, if your VTX light is gone, then you'd bring it back in range and you'd
[3261.94] Curry: land it manually if you like smash your antenna off.
[3266.94] Curry: Yeah, if that happens on the quad, then you'll get back in range at some point.
[3272.94] Curry: Oh, this is me panicking, saying, where is it?
[3277.94] Tony: It's still going quite rapid as well.
[3282.94] Curry: Yeah.
[3283.94] Curry: And it sort of just goes there and it's like, yeah, I think this is about right.
[3286.94] Tony: And he just goes, don't.
[3287.94] Curry: That's pretty good.
[3290.94] Curry: I'll take that.
[3292.94] Tony: I mean, DJI would land on that map.
[3296.94] Stephen: Yeah, but DJI don't use carbon fiber, do they?
[3299.94] Curry: No, I don't.
[3300.94] Curry: It was quite handy because it was windy and I was holding GoPro.
[3303.94] Curry: And when it came at me, I shouted, but the wind noise blew that away.
[3307.94] Curry: So you couldn't hear me.
[3309.94] Curry: But I was going to do a video about it.
[3311.94] Curry: But I thought, I'll go back and I'll do proper reading and I'll have a look at the
[3315.94] Curry: settings and I'll do a few more and decide what.
[3320.94] Tony: If you were there and you moved a bit over there and was flying out and you went
[3326.94] Tony: long distance, then it come back and it circled and landed there.
[3329.94] Tony: You'd be happy about that, wouldn't you?
[3331.94] Curry: Yeah, yeah.
[3332.94] Curry: I just I think the only thing you need to know is it might not come back in a
[3336.94] Curry: straight line and plonk down.
[3337.94] Curry: So if you're because sometimes in summer, I'll sit under a tree and stuff
[3342.94] Curry: because I'll get some shade.
[3343.94] Curry: So if you're doing that and think it might just hit the tree, that would be bad.
[3347.94] Curry: As long as you're out sort of in the middle of a place, you're OK.
[3350.94] Curry: Yeah.
[3353.94] Curry: But I think, you know, I think it's a massive
[3357.94] Curry: step forward compared to the, you know, the Exocet missile that was rescue mode
[3362.94] Curry: before that was functional enough, because as long as you got the control signal
[3366.94] Curry: back or the video, you could just turn it back off.
[3368.94] Stephen: I think part of the problem with the landing is that GPS is good, really good
[3373.94] Stephen: for speed because you get you measure Doppler shift.
[3376.94] Stephen: You get the speed accurate.
[3377.94] Stephen: And it's pretty good for 2D for your like your north and your and your east.
[3382.94] Stephen: You get that.
[3383.94] Stephen: But what it's rubbish for is height.
[3385.94] Stephen: It doesn't really doesn't really measure height.
[3388.94] Stephen: That's what your barrow saw.
[3389.94] Stephen: Yeah, I was going to say.
[3390.94] Stephen: Well, you know, and not every board has a barrow and they're not currently using
[3394.94] Stephen: barrow.
[3395.94] Stephen: And what's happening in the next release is they're going to combine the GPS
[3399.94] Stephen: height with the barrow height and then fuse those together to create more
[3403.94] Stephen: accurate data source.
[3404.94] Stephen: So instead of going, I think I should be on the ground and disarming it, have a
[3409.94] Stephen: better idea of where it is.
[3411.94] Curry: Well, that's good.
[3412.94] Curry: I mean, I've had the barrow goes out on me all the time because there is a barrow
[3415.94] Curry: on that one.
[3416.94] Curry: And, you know, often I'll be flying along and it says, oh, you're at minus 10
[3420.94] Curry: meters now.
[3421.94] Curry: It's like, OK, I think I think you might need to sort of sort yourself out again
[3425.94] Curry: here because it's still it's better than GPS.
[3429.94] Curry: It's very I like the way Barrow is very reactive.
[3432.94] Curry: It gives a very quick update when it thinks the heights change, but it's it's
[3436.94] Curry: still not super accurate, but it's GPS can go out like super crazy, can't it?
[3441.94] Curry: Because it's trying to get a 3D fix.
[3443.94] Stephen: Also, if you've got a barrow and no GPS, then you can at least like you can have
[3449.94] Stephen: an auto land function.
[3450.94] Stephen: So even if you're not doing a return to home, you can at least have, oh, Christ,
[3455.94] Stephen: just land safely.
[3456.94] Stephen: Like, don't just disarm and drop.
[3458.94] Stephen: Try and please do a safe landing.
[3460.94] Stephen: And assuming you're not on the side of a mountain, it's roughly the same height
[3463.94] Stephen: where you took off and at least do a controlled descent and not smash it to bits.
[3468.94] Curry: Well, given given that they can now sort of come in and land and circle, they should
[3472.94] Curry: do a circle mode as well, like the older the INAF one.
[3476.94] Curry: It's just like instead of position hold, which is hard, you can just go around in
[3481.94] Curry: circles over there somewhere.
[3484.94] Tony: Now move out of the way.
[3487.94] Stephen: So what you need the compass for is if you're not moving very fast.
[3491.94] Stephen: And that's why you need a certain speed when you return to home, because your
[3496.94] Stephen: GPS updates aren't happening that often.
[3498.94] Stephen: And if you move slowly and you're not doing very regular GPS updates either,
[3504.94] Stephen: it kind of can't figure out which direction you're going in.
[3507.94] Stephen: But if you go a decent clip, then it knows which way you're facing.
[3512.94] Curry: Yeah, I mean, this was always, I remember always having this argument.
[3516.94] Curry: I don't know if we we brought out with Mr.
