[0.0] Jack: Hello, and you're listening to what drone out and special thank you to our lovely patrons that help donate so that we can pay the editor to remove the swear words and silly things we say. Massive thank you to Carlos campos, art folk now, Sam Darma on with the show.
[20.52] Jack: Hello, I'm Brian Tullifly and you're listening to Let's Drone Out. Tonight, we are joined by everyone that's favorite, Curry Kitten. Hello. See, we got the proper Hello, not the chat GBT, whatever that intro was. We got the proper eat one finger at a time Kit Kat munching Curry Kitten.
[72.57] Jack: Hello. Hello. Oh, that felt good. Everyone's favorite must man with mustache. Hello. Oh, no luck with planes over here. It's all gone wrong. And the man who saved us from DJI and us getting shouted out.
[92.57] Stephen: I don't know who that is. Our resident camera expert. It's Cole.
[97.57] Koel: Camera sort of person.
[102.57] Yeah: In the kingdom of the blind, the one eye man is King. Basically, it's good as that.
[107.57] Stephen: So we've had our English summer. It's come it's gone. There was there was about a day and a half where the sun came out between the clouds. And now the fields are busy filling up and becoming lakes again.
[118.57] Yeah: This this is my face all this week was like, on Thursday, I checked the forecast. I said Monday looks good for flying. It looks calm. And the weather looks good. I will plan to fly on Monday. And I'm I've got my open HD wing and quad I fixed the telemetry from the quad always working.
[138.57] Yeah: So then I checked the forecast again on Sunday. It's like Monday is now 60 to 80% rain. Oh, well, it's definitely gonna rain then I won't bother. And Monday rolls round and it's beautiful. And the wind is low and there's no rain as well.
[153.57] Yeah: Well, that's annoying. I was like, Nevermind. It's just Tuesday's gonna be fine. I will charge up for Tuesday. And then my wife said I need you to wait in for two deliveries, which one is at 9am. And one is at 2pm. But there's no rain.
[167.57] Yeah: They both like, we will deliver from 9am to 12am at 12pm. And the other ones like 12 to 4. So it's like, Oh, okay, so I'm staying in all day. So I thought I will charge up for Wednesday. So I actually charged the batteries. And then Wednesday is blowing 20 mile an hour winds. And I don't quite trust this wing enough to launch it, put it in return to home and actually have it to circle around while I try and get a video sorted out. So basically, I haven't been flying.
[193.57] Stephen: Boo. It was a wee bit gusty. I did go out and fly a couple of packs through this little four inch five s terror that I built a while ago. But yeah, it wasn't wasn't great. It was flying really well the last time I flew it and it was struggling in the wind quite appreciably struggling. But it was fun. And I got some people at the skate park came up to me and said, Oh, is it you flying the drone? So I'm Yeah, sorry, I've been driving. I don't want to be near anyone. I'm sorry.
[223.57] Stephen: And he's like, No, no, no, no, no, no, no. When it's quiet, you should bring around a quad and film us that'll be cool. Okay, that's nice. When there's no little kids around and it's quiet, we're not going to interrupt any unwanted attention and film some skaters. So that'd be cool. Nice. Yeah, I flew on Sunday. And it was 29 degrees here. And then the next day it was snowing. How is that even possible? Canada, Southwestern Ontario. Yeah.
[253.57] Koel: But yeah, I got Oh, jeez, my background thing. Yeah, I got to made in my apex. Yes, ultra B two and flies like a charm flies. Yeah. Did you rip the Lowe's car park? Was this somewhere else? So, oh, no, I didn't fly the Lowe's parking lot. No, you're right. So actually, we were gonna go out my girlfriend and I we were gonna go have a picnic with one of her friends.
[283.45] Koel: At this local park after we went and picked up some sandwiches from this place. Well, happened to be that the sandwich shop burnt down two hours before we got there. And there's all these like fire trucks and everything around. And we're just like, Oh, I guess we're not getting sandwiches here. Luckily, they had a second location, you know, 10 minute drive down the street. But let me go to the park that we were planning on going to. And the whole park was under construction. They were removing tons of stuff, which actually turned out in my favor because there was all of the
[313.45] Koel: these, you know, front loaders and and basically big, big construction machinery. So I got to made in this and rip around there. And I also actually flew out a little local ski hill. So I got to fly around with the ski lifts and whatnot. No one was around. It's pretty quiet this time of year. So yeah, it's pretty cool. Yeah. Sounds pretty successful. Well done. Yeah, no crashes and
[343.45] Koel: just gather. I can't believe how good it flies just on the ultra default tune. It's it's really good. Big success. Well done, mate. Hi. So you've got this your first experience of ultra then it is. Yep. Indeed. My first kiss. What was your experience? What what impression did it make going from old kiss to ultra? What did you notice? So yeah, so I came from kiss V1, like the original original V1. And
[373.45] Koel: now I'm on kiss ultra V2. I would say so. So I guess I should should preface it with my other apex is it's basically identical build with kit, but it has kiss V1. It has the wolf PDB for OSD. And basically, it's got the V locks motors, whereas my new quad, I have the F 40 pros. So same KV just, you know, the F 40s are, I guess, you know, a little better or whatever. Going from the V
[403.45] Koel: one to the ultra V2, I would say I mean, I mean, I hate to say it, but they both fly really well. I mean, I I've never actually flown a kiss quad that doesn't fly well. But there's just some really good quality of life things with the new ultra V2. It's like, you know, I've got the built in OSD. You know, I don't have to run a separate PDB just to get OSD with it. You know, it just flies so smooth right out out of the box that, you know, there's there's no complaints about
[433.45] Koel: it there. I mean, there's definitely, I don't know, there's a slight different feel to it, I would say. But I don't know. Ultra V2 flies great. I still say V1 flies great. But yeah, I think that V2 is definitely a big upgrade, for sure.
[450.03] Stephen: Do you find if you push it to the edges of flight performance, where you might be in extreme prop wash, or the extreme end of your throttle, does it behave differently?
[460.85] Koel: I mean, I've only really run about eight packs through it. And I didn't really like there. I was in actually three different scenarios. So I mean, I wasn't I was mostly just kind of cruising and just kind of getting a feel for it. I did do some flips and rolls and see how it goes. And I mean, the prop wash handling was good. I mean, I don't know. I don't really have much to complain about it. They I mean, the ultra V2 just seems to to work really well. I think I'm going to try to push the tune a little more.
[488.87] Koel: I did notice a couple little bounces or, you know, a little bit of prop wash, but that could have also been my own flying, you know, that that induce some of that. But I was I was on the discord with some of the ultra guys. And they were saying, Yeah, just, you know, just try pushing the tune a little more. Because if you're on the default, you can definitely go a little higher. So everyone always mentions that the golden starting presets. Yeah, they seem to be the go to place, right?
[514.69] Koel: Well, you know, the other interesting thing too, is that on the kiss of V1, they use the MPU 6000. Whereas on the ultra V2, it's not I can't remember the actual job as an I am wasn't it? Because we had Alex talking about. Yeah. And he was one of the virtues of an IIM six something. I remember it wasn't an ICM. It was an IIM. Yeah.
[538.09] Stephen: Yeah, I wouldn't be able to just I guess directly steal my old tune because they're going to be a little different, I guess. But I mean, I don't exactly know how that works. I'm not a it should be the same like reason reasonably the same pit wise, but where there'd be differences is how much noise you're getting from the gyro. So you might need slightly different filtering. I don't know if you have a lot of tweakables on the filtering or filtering is just I think it's like low, medium, high and off or something like that.
[568.93] Jack: We got an adaptive or you can or you can set a certain frequency to ignore.
[576.23] Stephen: Yeah, Jack knows better than me. I'm just I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to that's what tends to like blindside people when they swap gyros, you think you're going to get the same data. You know, you set the same sampling rate, you're dealing with the same kind of precision of data. But then you figure that actually one gyro was doing a whole bunch of filtering in hardware.
[601.49] Stephen: And you didn't realize and then you look at the new gyro data and it seems incredibly noisy. But what's actually happening is that the new gyro isn't doing all that filtering behind the scenes. So sometimes that can be a bit surprised.
[615.05] Koel: Yeah, I'll have to experiment with it more and, you know, test some things out and see how it goes. It's yeah, it's it's interesting, too, because there's in the kiss gooey when you're when you're doing the in the tuning section, there's kiss defaults.
[630.81] Koel: There's ultra defaults. But then if you put experimental mode on, there's like this, like low, medium and high that Cronk had a lot to do with. I think he had all to do with, I should say.
[643.03] Koel: I haven't actually gone to those experimental tunes yet, but I next time I go out and fly, I'm going to try them out, see what see what it does.
[650.73] Stephen: Yeah, that tends to be a thing that you need to get the really aggressive prop wash handling. If you're trying to push a tune to account for prop wash, then you've got to hit a line between the noise you're getting from the gyro and the frequency of that oscillation of the prop wash.
[666.85] Stephen: And if you filter out too much, the prop wash, you can't respond to it. But if you don't filter out enough of the gyro noise, then you don't get smooth flight.
[674.71] Stephen: So you kind of walk in that line between balancing gyro noise with the actual environmental noise that you want to pay attention to.
[681.91] Koel: Ah, OK. I can show you guys a couple little clips if you want of the fire. Yeah. So it is so good. I mean, I'll just say like it. It flies like a dream. This is like it just flew over.
[696.23] Koel: There was a blur over the whole video at that point. I didn't see a road as long as it's a four line highway. What four line highway didn't happen?
[709.37] Koel: No. And that was a Sunday morning. No one was out. It was fun.
[712.97] Stephen: Anyway, while we're looking at this SD card that you found in the park, do you want to tell us about what your experiences were?
[719.75] Koel: So I took off. It was this little construction zone that actually used to be tennis courts. So it's all dirt. It was a little. When I first took off, it was actually really dusty.
[729.43] Koel: And I was like, oh, crap, my motors might not like that. But, you know, there's like front loaders or whatever you want to call those and just kind of ripped around them in this sort of park area.
[739.91] Stephen: But it's actually got something in America. Well, Canada, I should say. Whenever there's construction sites and you visit them, no one is actually doing any work where it's not on a Sunday morning.
[751.93] Stephen: No. Yeah. Yeah. I'm just not getting up early enough in the morning. Yeah.
[756.49] Stephen: It's like either chained off completely like you can't get into the site without hopping over for a barbed wire fence or if it is open, people are working on it.
[766.25] Koel: Yeah. You know what I've noticed is the bigger cities, they have tons of security, tons of security cameras fenced off like crazy, smaller cities.
[777.35] Koel: They're just like, yeah, yeah, it's fine. Like you saw nothing. You saw nothing.
[789.23] Koel: Yeah. OK, so I will share one last thing here. Sorry, guys. All right. So this is at the little local local ski hill.
[798.75] Koel: This was actually the maiden flight right here, the first time I ever actually flew the KISS Ultra.
[803.63] Koel: And I hate I hate that it's so choppy on on the stream, but I mean, this thing just flies like it just flies well area to just go cruising around, isn't it?
[815.75] Stephen: It's a lovely spot. We're looking at a ski run there. And he was just carving down past all the ski lift poles. Really, I guess I should fast forward past what song I was playing.
[827.11] Koel: But yeah, it's you know, no one's around. I'm you know, it's it's off season because it's spring right now.
[832.23] Koel: They do have bikers there in the summer. But yeah, it's it's a great place to fly.
[837.39] Koel: It's actually my second time flying there. And I mean, zero complaints about the KISS Ultra in this this build, man, the KISS Ultra V2.
[844.83] Stephen: It's just just somehow flies. You ever see any guys on bikes to chase down the hill?
[850.63] Koel: I have in the past. But the thing was, I wasn't as experienced, I guess, as I are not quite as experienced as I'm now.
[857.91] Koel: I would I was a little bit like nervous when I would see people, whereas now like I would probably rip behind somebody.
[863.19] Stephen: And it's pretty tricky to follow people down hills as well, isn't it?
[866.43] Stephen: Because it messes with your angle and everything. Oh, true. So much speed.
[871.91] Koel: But yeah, so I mean, that's kind of the gist of it.
[873.79] Koel: I just kind of went up and down and around.
[875.43] Koel: And I think next time I go, I'm going to try and actually go through some of those ski lift openings.
[881.75] Koel: That'd be pretty fair for the chairs. Yeah, yeah.
[885.59] Koel: It'll be pretty sweet. Yeah, like it looks like a lot of fun.
[889.51] Stephen: I'd also be doing spirals up up and down those lifts.
[893.23] Yeah: Definitely a slight change of tangents.
[895.55] Yeah: So what is obviously Jack normally terrify sheep if he's in the area?
[902.39] Yeah: And it's at least worrisome. So what's the reason for this?
[905.27] Yeah: Did you go out last time you were near sheep?
[908.67] Yeah: Your quad turned into a sheep because you tried to turn over in.
[913.35] Jack: Yeah, that that happened again, because I again landed.
[918.15] Yeah: Yeah. Do you not learn from the doing it the first time?
[921.47] Stephen: If you just do it again from the massive amount of filth that you managed to shove into your props?
[927.19] Stephen: I know approximately three fleeces attached to his quad.
[932.31] Stephen: Well, yeah, I mean, a well soiled fleece that's been on a sheep out in the field for a couple of seasons.
[938.35] Stephen: Yeah, that fluffy thing you might buy in a store.
[940.51] Jack: I've done particularly well on on Instagram.
[945.59] Stephen: Oh, my God. Look at that. Look at that.
[948.67] Yeah: Look at that. We don't see any sort of brownness on the regular sheep.
[953.27] Yeah: That's that sheep's been ill.
[955.71] Koel: Oh, that's rough.
[957.27] Jack: So I followed I followed Tony up the old hill
[961.27] Jack: and and then made made the mistake of
[966.23] Jack: following them, following them up there and not having enough battery to get home.
[973.67] Stephen: Do you have video?
[974.39] Stephen: Could you start playing something around with this big long range seven inch and
[978.79] Stephen: you got caught short?
[980.35] Jack: Yeah. Uh oh.
[982.03] Jack: So Tony's up here and I'm flying.
[987.92] Jack: I'm flying at this tiny little speck.
[990.2] Jack: One's a dark speck, one's a white speck.
[994.0] Jack: And Tony's dark.
[996.2] Yeah: I see any specs.
[997.64] Jack: And then, yeah, the white is the dog.
[1001.44] Jack: And I see him give him a wiggle and then come back.
[1006.24] Jack: And then obviously not paid attention to how far that actually is.
[1011.28] Jack: And then coming in
[1014.6] Jack: and then all of a sudden.
[1016.6] Jack: Oh, oh, oh, oh, sinking.
[1019.84] Koel: Can't keep up, can't keep up.
[1023.12] Jack: I read into the wet grass.
[1025.44] Koel: What? So you're just sagging to hell and back.
[1028.96] Jack: Yeah, with success, your voltage really falls down.
[1035.12] Jack: And, you know, very quickly,
[1038.56] Jack: you know, when you get sort of towards the end,
[1043.52] Jack: it really, really drops right off catches up on you.
[1047.04] Koel: I thought you were going head first into that corner into those bricks.
[1050.6] Koel: Yeah. Yeah.
[1052.96] Koel: No, how's the how's the club after that?
[1055.76] Jack: She was fine. She was fine.
[1057.72] Jack: No problem. That's good.
[1059.6] Stephen: Glad to hear it.
[1060.8] Stephen: Yeah, you're having better luck these days, which is heartening to hear.
[1063.6] Stephen: You're not like, yeah, I'm actually too many bills.
[1066.44] Jack: Yeah, this is the bit
[1068.4] Jack: this this is the are my allowed to show people
[1072.08] Jack: that the lady who who told me off, I don't know.
[1075.64] Stephen: She told you we are assaulting the areas of the field.
[1079.08] Yeah: Yeah. Public area. Yeah.
[1080.64] Yeah: Public area. You can film what you like.
[1083.08] Jack: Oh, yeah. Hang on.
[1084.8] Jack: So gross murderer.
[1087.68] Jack: Hang on. Yeah.
[1088.84] Jack: This is the return of.
[1093.24] Jack: See that patch there?
[1094.92] Jack: Oh, I decided I know.
[1097.44] Jack: Why are you doing this?
[1100.08] Yeah: Why are you doing?
[1102.88] Yeah: That's not a landing mat.
[1104.08] Yeah: That's a spare sheep.
[1106.32] Jack: And now you're now your quad is infested.
[1108.48] Jack: No, no, no, infested once again.
[1112.52] Koel: I mean, it was a pretty good cushion, I guess, for it.
[1114.96] Koel: Yeah. Take a little. I mean, yeah.
[1117.04] Stephen: I mean, I guess you could say feces or cushions.
[1119.96] Jack: That's why are your knees wet?
[1122.6] Koel: Who's knees are wet?
[1124.16] Jack: Was nice enough to rescue me.
[1126.28] Jack: And he was like pulling bits of stuff out of the side.
[1128.72] Yeah: Shoeing it as he goes.
[1132.52] Jack: Worse than my fur balls.
[1135.04] Jack: Thank you, Frank.
[1136.6] Jack: I yeah, that that bit I had to just.
[1140.44] Jack: I am absolutely heinous.
[1143.56] Jack: They look at Frank upside down, Frank.
[1145.92] Koel: Well, hopefully his knees are wet from the dampness.
[1148.6] Koel: Thank you for your.
[1149.52] Jack: I know. I didn't know that he had bloody damp knees.
[1154.36] Yeah: This is very dodgy reasons
[1157.28] Yeah: about these are being now talked about thoroughly.
[1161.52] Yeah: It's been brainstormed, I'd say.
[1163.96] Yeah: Yeah. Yeah.
[1166.04] Yeah: Well, at least you guys got to go out.
[1168.8] Yeah: So that's pretty cool.
[1170.08] Yeah: I saw I saw some news earlier
[1173.56] Yeah: by looking on Facebook.
[1174.64] Yeah: I know someone is trying out the four three three
[1177.88] Yeah: because people weren't happy enough from getting 100 kilometers out of two point four.
[1182.64] Yeah: Presumably longer from eight six six.
[1184.56] Yeah: And this guy, I think, tested to 45 kilometers at 10 milliwatts on four three three.
[1191.76] Yeah: That was good. Wow.
[1192.96] Yeah: Just, you know, there's this point is though, it's like those sort of mega distances.
[1199.32] Yeah: The Earth is curved. Sorry, Tony.
[1201.48] Yeah: And, you know, you're going to have to get up pretty high to deal with it.
[1204.96] Yeah: And Wes is already in trouble after that one.
[1210.08] Yeah: Yeah. Yeah.
[1211.84] Stephen: I guess what you're looking for with that kind of radio output
[1214.96] Stephen: is not just to be in trouble with.
[1218.12] Stephen: The government of the country that you're living in,
[1220.2] Stephen: but potentially other neighboring governments as well as you
[1224.4] Stephen: aggressively cross borders with your aircraft.
[1228.28] Yeah: It's it's tricky to think about why you'd want to go back to four three three.
[1232.64] Yeah: Four three three was always
[1234.48] Yeah: well as the cash prize.
[1236.36] Yeah: If we can talk about that, I mean.
[1238.4] Yeah: Oh, I didn't know about this.
[1239.52] Stephen: I just saw some posts. Please, please, please elaborate.
[1243.32] Stephen: Someone put a four hundred thousand dollar cash prize for
[1250.28] Stephen: anyone who could land a drone in Red Square during the military parades.
[1258.72] Stephen: Four hundred and forty thousand dollars.
[1260.76] Koel: Yeah. Could you use that to drive the way.
[1262.76] Koel: It's legal defense. Yeah, literally.
[1266.04] Koel: Wow. Yeah.
[1269.2] Koel: Just fly analog. Don't have remote ID set up.
[1271.48] Stephen: I think it was an American entrepreneur who obviously had connections to the Ukraine
[1275.52] Stephen: and thought this would be a wonderful idea if during a giant elaborate
[1280.64] Stephen: communist tank parade would be a fan.
[1284.0] Stephen: Jake, wouldn't it?
[1285.44] Stephen: It would be a joke. I think I'd watch the mirth.
[1289.76] Stephen: Yes. Oh, oh, the being murdered remotely by Russian espionage aid.
[1295.4] Stephen: And a wonderful story.
[1297.44] Jack: Finally, finding out what writing you take into.
[1300.88] Stephen: Yeah. Yeah, I think that was Frank's comment.
[1303.16] Stephen: Like, oh, that's nice.
[1304.2] Stephen: But I don't I like my tea without polonium.
[1306.72] Stephen: And I'd have to agree while I'm a coffee drinker.
[1309.04] Stephen: I do very much like it without a radioactive helping on the side.
[1313.36] Jack: Does does the overexposed footage upset you?
[1318.84] Stephen: Me? Doesn't just upset him.
[1321.48] Stephen: It throws him into a rage.
[1323.0] Stephen: It does.
[1323.88] Koel: Apply the restraints.
[1326.92] Koel: Must not complain.
[1329.12] Koel: No, Tony actually just popped and said, is this DVR?
[1332.6] Koel: I think he assumed that that was digital DVR.
[1337.88] Koel: But that's OK.
[1339.72] Koel: You know, I will guide you on the settings next time, Jack.
[1342.88] Koel: You must use the app and check before you fly.
[1349.08] Stephen: Or just apply a lot on it, like with no kind of care or attention
[1353.24] Stephen: and just Yolo it onto YouTube like 90 percent of FPV file.
[1356.92] Stephen: Let's do with a nice neon logo.
[1360.0] Koel: You'll be fine with some really bad music.
[1363.76] Jack: Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
[1367.04] Jack: I made something last Friday.
[1370.56] Jack: Oh, do you want to see it?
[1372.24] Yeah: Yes. Show us.
[1374.16] Koel: Where's our where's our disclaimer?
[1378.76] Jack: Oh, a shirt.
[1383.64] Jack: Let that be right.
[1385.6] Jack: Yeah, it doesn't look like it inspired.
[1389.4] Jack: No, it's not right at all.
[1391.36] Koel: No. What isn't right about it, Stephen?
[1394.36] Stephen: What isn't right about it?
[1396.52] Stephen: Look at the color of the cables, the square side is the red side.
[1402.16] Stephen: Yeah, the curved side is the black side.
[1405.32] Koel: So, Jack, you made that.
[1406.4] Koel: You drew that out by hand and printed it and one of one.
[1410.32] Jack: The yeah, no, there's there is a there is a small available.
[1416.52] Jack: I've done a I've done a test shirt.
[1420.24] Jack: So it's it's only a small, but if anyone wants it, it's there.
[1426.2] Koel: Very cool.
[1427.8] Jack: But yeah, red on the square side.
[1431.36] Jack: Definitely.
[1432.36] Jack: So what I was holding up was a T-shirt with a badly drawn
[1437.4] Jack: and XT 60 and the the color of the wires were going into the wrong polarity
[1446.68] Jack: and written above it in childish handwriting was let the fun begin.
[1453.0] Koel: That is such a nice joke.
[1454.96] Koel: Like, yeah, really, I doubt anyone's going to get it.
[1458.4] Stephen: Yeah, most people wouldn't know just by looking at it either.
[1461.16] Stephen: So you really are pushing it.
[1462.4] Yeah: There can be a problem with those T-shirts, though, is like if people do get it,
[1466.0] Yeah: they want to point out that they get it.
[1467.72] Yeah: I used to have that that there there are one, zero types of people in the world.
[1472.16] Yeah: Those that understand binary and those who don't.
[1474.8] Stephen: Excuse me, I understand your T-shirt.
[1477.28] Yeah: Yes, people would either say I get that and feel like you should like.
[1482.28] Yeah: I should say congratulations.
[1484.0] Yeah: You're also a nerd or other people that didn't understand it
[1488.28] Yeah: would be like, well, I don't understand how 10 people and you've only got two there.
[1491.6] Yeah: So it was it was bad because I don't like interacting.
[1495.84] Yeah: And that made all the people interact with me, which was bad.
[1500.68] Yeah: I've even got a T-shirt that says you've read this T-shirt.
[1503.72] Yeah: That's enough social interaction for the day.
[1505.36] Yeah: And people then come up and say, I like your T-shirt.
[1507.68] Yeah: It's like read it then and understand and stop talking to me.
[1512.12] Koel: Yeah. But having a shirt like that is almost asking for people to talk to you.
[1515.56] Stephen: And I think the correct response is just to scream and talk to me and walk away.
[1520.8] Koel: Yeah. But people people will see don't talk to me.
[1522.96] Koel: They're going to go, ooh, I'm going to do the opposite of what his shirt says.
[1527.2] Stephen: Well, then you guys on the 6060, I made up a funny adapter
[1533.12] Stephen: that takes an X-T60 to the quad and allows you to attach two X-T30s to it in series.
[1542.24] Yeah: Oh, that's neater than my things where I've got like cables.
[1546.96] Yeah: And it was for this.
[1549.04] Stephen: Ooh, it was for a quad.
[1552.28] Stephen: Now, those T-motors in parallel, it will be T-motor, but they're branded
[1557.08] Stephen: by everyone's favorite pyro critique, FedEx.
[1564.2] Stephen: And I had an interesting experience because I finally
[1567.72] Stephen: decided to fix up this quad, which I've been talking about for ages,
[1573.0] Stephen: that the tennis weirdo quad
[1576.08] Stephen: and and to attach the battery, instead of using the suggested means of lots
[1581.36] Stephen: of tiny kind of 16 gauge wire and X-T30s, I put a big fat 12 gauge on there
[1589.28] Stephen: and then kept the X-T30 runs as short as possible.
[1594.73] Stephen: So we've got two X-T30 5s is connected in series to give you a 10s.
[1601.85] Stephen: Huh. And I swapped out the FedEx flight controller for a Maytech
[1607.89] Stephen: because I didn't trust it because I was plugged in the ESC
[1612.41] Stephen: and it just started smoking.
[1614.29] Stephen: And I'm not sure whether that's how it came from the factory or
[1618.93] Stephen: I had it. It was it was second hand, so maybe someone futzed with it.
[1622.77] Stephen: It certainly looked like the JSTs had been kind of baked on after the fact.
[1627.69] Stephen: There were scorch marks on them.
[1629.13] Stephen: So I'm just a bit wary of the whole thing.
[1632.57] Stephen: And there was a lot of kind of suspicious smoke and a few sparks and pops
[1639.57] Stephen: which seemed to go away like it was something bad that was burning off.
[1643.21] Stephen: But engendered a sense of fear in me.
[1647.85] Stephen: So I'm being very careful about this one.
[1649.81] Stephen: And the build is going fairly slowly right now.
[1653.05] Yeah: To be fair, I don't ever think there's a case for non-suspicious smoke.
[1657.05] Yeah: Any smoke seems dodgy, doesn't it?
[1660.29] Stephen: It seems to work.
[1661.77] Stephen: And it makes the funny aren't we different ESC sound effect.
[1666.49] Stephen: They don't all initialize at the same time.
[1668.77] Stephen: There's a little bit of a kind of stagger, but the ESC spin the motors.
[1674.97] Stephen: That one. Yeah, they do the funny sound effect, which you just I mean,
[1678.25] Stephen: I could plug it in, but Cole did a wonderful personation.
[1682.29] Stephen: Yeah, they seem to initialize and I can spin the motors
[1686.05] Stephen: and I get ESC telemetry using the standard you are protocol,
[1689.81] Stephen: which FETEC call one wire, but it's just regular serial you are.
[1694.33] Stephen: That works fine.
[1696.29] Stephen: And so I can read the ESC temperatures on all of them.
[1699.65] Stephen: I can read the RPM, but I can't use it for RPM telemetry
[1702.81] Stephen: because it's over serial instead of it.
[1705.21] Stephen: It doesn't initialize if you enable bidirectional D shots, not capable of that.
[1710.81] Stephen: But I'm just going to run it off of there's a Maytek F405, which is good for 12S.
[1716.05] Stephen: It's got its own special little.
[1719.33] Stephen: It's kind of they've broken out the voltage regulators
[1721.57] Stephen: and put one little board in the middle of the flight controller, he says,
[1724.33] Stephen: holding the frame up to the camera as you might be able to see
[1727.49] Stephen: a little board in the middle of the flight controller.
[1729.25] Stephen: It's a different color.
[1730.33] Stephen: It's like there's a daughter board in the middle
[1732.77] Stephen: that enables it to have separated voltage control from all the logic.
[1738.09] Stephen: I guess if you flame out the voltage regulator,
[1741.01] Stephen: you can pull off the daughter board and put another one on.
[1744.05] Yeah: Oh, so here's my question getting there for me
[1750.09] Yeah: and potentially other people is what is tennis going to give you?
[1756.21] Yeah: Because obviously, you know, you have to reduce the KV on the motor
[1760.09] Yeah: so they don't have an hour.
[1762.33] Yeah: I love. So is it just a case of having even less voltage sag
[1765.97] Yeah: and being able to go full throttle for longer than the sag?
[1769.65] Yeah: Or is it something else?
[1770.93] Stephen: The aware among us might have noticed that Rotor Riot
[1774.21] Stephen: recently did a five inch ATES build and were making a big thing of it.
[1780.69] Stephen: And I thought, well, I've got this kit sitting around.
[1783.49] Stephen: Let's do a tennis build.
[1785.29] Stephen: Because obviously, you know,
[1787.57] Stephen: LDO have got to step up and there we are.
[1790.81] Yeah: Obviously, I don't watch those guys anymore.
[1793.53] Yeah: We only like the original Rotor Riot in this household.
[1795.89] Yeah: But was it impressive?
[1798.41] Stephen: Was it more powerful?
[1800.61] Stephen: No, not really.
[1801.89] Stephen: They made cooing noises about how high it punched out,
[1804.81] Stephen: which didn't make any sense because you'd essentially have the same RPM
[1808.53] Stephen: going to the propellers. It's not higher RPM.
[1811.09] Stephen: It's not more powerful.
[1812.09] Stephen: It's just a slightly different way of achieving the same result.
[1815.37] Stephen: And yeah, I just thought it'd be interesting to see how it performed
[1818.93] Stephen: because I built this 5S four inch.
[1821.73] Stephen: So I'd got a bunch of 5S packs that were quite small sitting around.
[1825.13] Stephen: And that kind of left me in a situation
[1826.97] Stephen: where I could put two of the small 5S packs together to make a 10S pack.
[1830.97] Stephen: So take a couple of 5S 700s or I've got a couple of 5S 900s.
[1837.65] Stephen: So I'd have like a 10S 700 or a 10S 900.
[1842.21] Koel: Yeah, I did. I did watch that that video.
[1845.77] Koel: They were I mean, the only thing that I really noticed that they said
[1848.97] Koel: was like when they would do a dive from ridiculously high,
[1853.13] Koel: you know, they were able to punch at the back at the last second
[1856.45] Stephen: and still recover, which I think you can do that with a success build,
[1859.53] Stephen: though, really. Yeah.
[1860.93] Koel: I saw what they were doing.
[1861.97] Stephen: You know, Bobby's a pretty good pilot, right?
[1865.57] Stephen: He's young. He's got reflexes.
[1867.17] Stephen: You see that his video of him hitting the gaps like that.
[1870.33] Stephen: Steel tried to spend an entire weekend to hit doing that ladder dive.
[1873.69] Stephen: And he just the first time three lineups and down.
[1877.21] Stephen: And the van, that tiny gap that Van over was doing with a big power loop.
[1882.21] Stephen: Yeah, he just does it like straight off one pack.
[1884.61] Stephen: I think he's just a good pilot.
[1886.09] Stephen: And if you're a good pilot and you're used to just ripping bandoes all the time,
[1890.13] Stephen: you're going to be pretty good at dropping into a dangerous concrete structure
[1895.21] Stephen: and slamming the throttle to avoid hitting the deck.
[1898.29] Stephen: Yeah, I don't know.
[1899.85] Stephen: I think a lot of it's in the pilot, really.
[1901.53] Stephen: But it just seemed an interesting thing to do.
[1904.25] Stephen: Technical just a technology showcase like mess around with something.
[1908.77] Koel: Yeah, I'd be curious to see what what rates they run,
[1912.17] Koel: because for those types of things, you'd think you'd want a slightly higher rate
[1916.05] Koel: to be able to react quicker.
[1917.45] Koel: But I feel like people don't really fly high rates these days, do they?
[1922.65] Koel: Like, not like they used to.
[1923.97] Stephen: For those like Fruch FPV is like 1300 max rate.
[1928.81] Stephen: I think he runs pretty linear as well.
[1931.41] Stephen: But yeah, a lot of people do run very, very low rates.
[1935.89] Stephen: Yeah, that's mainly because of the excitement over racing.
[1941.01] Jack: Yeah, I let Tony have a go of one of my my quads
[1947.09] Jack: and I plugged in his KISS flight controller.
[1953.29] Jack: Oh, my God, he's got grand grandma rate.
[1957.85] Stephen: What's a grandma rate, though, like less than 900 or something?
[1962.93] Jack: Like, yeah, just so I find out.
[1967.37] Stephen: It does feel weird going down below.
[1969.21] Stephen: I think the defaults on beta flight are like six, six, seven or something,
[1973.45] Stephen: which is pretty tame.
[1974.57] Stephen: Yeah, it used to be seven hundred, wasn't it?
[1976.77] Stephen: Just trying to remember.
[1978.37] Stephen: On a whoop, I do find around the house, if I'm doing like a acro on a whoop
[1983.73] Stephen: into indoors, I go down to like 400 because.
[1988.33] Stephen: You need to be so precise.
[1991.85] Stephen: But outdoors are somewhere between 900 and 1200, usually, I guess.
[1997.41] Yeah: It's even like you will get bored if you haven't got an idea.
[2001.81] Yeah: So what about building the opposite?
[2005.53] Yeah: If we if you take one S5 inch?
[2008.97] Yeah: No, no, not quite.
[2009.93] Yeah: I'm thinking what you have is 10 inch props, very low KV motors.
[2015.01] Yeah: So traditionally something that you could make fly for a long time.
[2018.01] Yeah: But then you try really ripping it acro style.
[2021.21] Yeah: What will happen?
[2023.13] Stephen: That's a good idea.
[2024.97] Stephen: I did think about following Tony and just experimenting,
[2029.29] Stephen: building like a budget X class because I was looking at a lot of VSCs
[2034.25] Stephen: and I saw there were these fly color HV3s that were way cheaper than the APD ones
[2039.65] Stephen: where the APDs are like in the hundreds to get 160 amp or 200 amp ones.
[2044.41] Stephen: But I think you can get a fly color, 160 amp
[2048.93] Stephen: for about kind of 60 or 70 quid,
[2053.61] Stephen: which makes it sort of achievable to do a budget X class.
[2058.01] Stephen: So I could try that.
[2060.09] Stephen: And I think they take a M32 as well, so I could flash them
[2063.33] Stephen: to get a few more useful options on the SC that might help with the X class.
[2069.37] Koel: So Jack is holding up his laptop here.
[2071.81] Jack: Yeah, his RC rate is zero point nine.
[2076.69] Jack: Five on roll pitch is zero point eight.
[2083.21] Jack: Oh, and you're is zero point eight.
[2086.21] Yeah: Oh, so what's the degrees per second?
[2088.89] Jack: Then his right.
[2092.01] Jack: He's zero point six, seven.
[2096.37] Jack: Well, then six, six, six, six on pitching.
[2100.85] Jack: You're I don't know what that is in seconds.
[2104.85] Jack: Hang on. Let me.
[2109.01] Jack: I'd have to put it in the calculator.
[2111.81] Stephen: It's pretty slow. I'm going to do that myself.
[2114.01] Koel: Yeah. Yeah. My my RC rates are like one point six, five.
[2118.73] Koel: One point six, five, one point five.
[2120.93] Koel: They're like really high, which is probably way too high. But yeah.
[2126.37] Yeah: It depends.
[2126.89] Yeah: I suppose in order to work out if you're using your full rate,
[2130.09] Yeah: is like, do you ever slam the stick against the side?
[2133.49] Yeah: Because if you're not doing that, what's his RC rate?
[2136.25] Stephen: And it is super right, Jack, but not point eight and not point six.
[2141.17] Yeah: Was it was it zero point nine, five and zero point six, seven?
[2149.29] Yeah: The super eight, six, seven.
[2151.29] Jack: Yeah. This episode was recorded in front of a live online audience,
[2155.81] Jack: downloaded and edited to make sense when it played audio only sensors
[2159.97] Jack: to please the iTunes people hosted on the Internet.
[2162.25] Jack: Forwarded through to your podcast provider.
[2164.05] Jack: Downloaded playing on your device and is now playing in your ears.

[2173.37] Jack: Find out more at Patreon dot com for slash.
[2176.45] Koel: Let's drone out with kiss, with kiss rates.
[2180.57] Koel: There's RC rate.
[2182.17] Koel: There's rate and then there's RC curve.
[2185.25] Koel: How does that translate to?
[2187.13] Koel: Yeah, yeah, RC would be expo, but how does RC rate slash rate compare
[2191.81] Koel: or how is it?
[2192.69] Koel: How can that be explained for anybody who's using the right expo?
[2198.93] Koel: No, I'd be RC curve, isn't it?
[2200.81] Jack: Oh, yeah, sorry.
[2202.85] Jack: I always get mixed up.
[2204.93] Koel: Yeah, what's the difference between RC rate and rate with kiss?
[2210.25] Stephen: So the RC rate is the regular linear component
[2214.25] Stephen: and the super rate is how much of an exponential increase you have.
[2218.89] Stephen: But kiss has this thing called rate, which.
[2221.21] Stephen: Yeah, just is that equivalent to the linear one?
[2224.57] Jack: Yeah, yeah.
[2225.45] Stephen: So the linear RC rate is as you move the stick, the degrees per second.
[2232.09] Stephen: Just if you move the stick twice as much, the RC rate goes up times two.
[2237.69] Stephen: Yeah, right.
[2238.21] Stephen: So if you go from like 20 percent deflection to 40 percent deflection,
[2245.21] Stephen: you've doubled the degrees per second.
[2248.09] Stephen: But if you look at super rate, that controls an exponent.
[2253.85] Stephen: So that means if you crank the super rate, you going from 20 degrees
[2259.85] Stephen: per second to 40 degrees per second, you can end up in a situation where
[2264.13] Stephen: that might instead of going up by two goes up by four or 16
[2268.01] Stephen: and multiplies from there upwards.
[2271.33] Jack: I don't know whether I want to share this.
[2273.29] Jack: Some viewers may find it disturbing, but
[2278.25] Jack: I got told there's a walker.
[2280.53] Jack: So I'm going to see Jack on the field.
[2283.65] Jack: She's aiming at any sheep.
[2287.65] Jack: I just fly over the sheep and then stuck up a sheep.
[2291.65] Jack: Yeah. And that was me.
[2293.61] Jack: That that was my level of getting in trouble and terrorizing in trouble.
[2299.81] Koel: Oh, that's Jack.
[2300.77] Jack: Oh, I got I got really bad telling off I'm a sheep.
[2305.01] Stephen: The sheep didn't like my actions
[2310.21] Stephen: and I've changed and I've learned from I hope you've completed the required course.
[2316.05] Koel: Yeah, I guess back to the rate topic, though.
[2321.12] Koel: I mean, I've I mean, I've only ever really flown high rates.
[2324.88] Koel: I feel like if I fly a low rate and I'm flying out of Bando,
[2329.4] Koel: I'm scared because I might not be able to react or have enough of a chance to.
[2335.44] Yeah: I kind of feel as soon as you've got your rate and you're used to it,
[2339.48] Yeah: that's what you have to stick with because things like flips and rolls
[2342.64] Yeah: become more of a timing thing.
[2343.92] Yeah: You're not visually looking.
[2345.04] Yeah: You just know that do that.
[2347.08] Yeah: Yeah, my family's beyond to do that.
[2348.76] Yeah: And you've done a complete circuit.
[2350.48] Yeah: If you fly someone else's in a different rate, you're doing that.
[2352.72] Yeah: It's like, I'm still upside down or I haven't even turned all the way around you.
[2355.92] Jack: Yeah, this used to be really good,
[2359.52] Jack: but it was a doesn't
[2365.47] Stephen: I fly actual rates most of the time now,
[2367.87] Stephen: and I I tend to leave my center pretty soft, so I've got fine control.
[2373.63] Stephen: Yeah, I've got this one on Desmos dot com as well,
[2376.87] Stephen: which is when I was using just now, and that's got all the bells and whistles on it.
[2382.79] Stephen: So, yeah, with actual rates, you describe kind of how soft you want it in the center,
[2387.99] Stephen: how many degrees per second you want in the center.
[2390.35] Stephen: And then you define what your max should be.
[2392.75] Stephen: And then you give it an expo value,
[2395.43] Stephen: and that tells you how quickly you transition from the center value to the max value.
[2400.67] Koel: So, Jack, one reason, because my
[2403.43] Koel: it doesn't work anymore.
[2405.27] Jack: Oh, no, they see the right is a linear.
[2409.43] Jack: But yeah, it doesn't calculate anymore.
[2412.67] Jack: And then the curve adds more of a curve to it.
[2417.47] Jack: And that's how that's how it works.
[2420.59] Yeah: You've lost me in your technical language there.
[2422.39] Yeah: The curve adds more curve.
[2423.83] Jack: OK, yeah, the more expo. Sorry.
[2429.39] Jack: What was that called, the pirate something?
[2433.79] Jack: Well, it's like the butterfly.
[2437.15] Jack: A rate calculator.
[2440.83] Jack: And then there's the butterfly actual rate charts.
[2445.23] Jack: Junior rate.
[2446.15] Jack: Oh, yes, yes. Link.
[2448.11] Jack: I found it yet.
[2449.47] Jack: Yeah, you can kind of eat all that stuff used to work,
[2452.51] Jack: but it doesn't work anymore.
[2454.71] Jack: So it's a little bit pointless.
[2456.39] Koel: But when you say it doesn't work anymore, what do you mean exactly?
[2460.75] Jack: Race flight slash beat flight rate chart converter is not working anymore.
[2466.31] Jack: Doesn't doesn't calculate differences between them.
[2470.11] Jack: You don't really need to do that anymore, because in beta flight,
[2474.43] Jack: you can now just select case rates. Yeah.
[2477.39] Koel: Oh, that's interesting.
[2482.03] Koel: Everyone just wants to be like kiss, I guess, and add those features in.
[2485.75] Koel: No, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.
[2488.23] Koel: I'm just being a dick.
[2489.15] Stephen: It's just allows you to use whatever language they want to use to express it.
[2492.55] Stephen: That's all.
[2493.35] Stephen: But if you want to describe it as kiss, you can.
[2495.95] Stephen: If you want to speak B to flight, you can.
[2497.59] Stephen: If you want to use this actual thing, which is like getting all the language
[2501.19] Stephen: out of the way and just saying how fast you want it to go, you can use that.
[2504.59] Jack: Yeah.
[2505.83] Jack: No expo, no fee forward, no anti-gravity.
[2508.83] Jack: Only Tony can fly as smooth as me.
[2511.71] Stephen: Oh, so it's a big buster.
[2514.95] Stephen: Big post.
[2516.11] Stephen: I mean, anti-gravity is pretty useful.
[2518.91] Stephen: I'll say that it's pretty handy.
[2522.87] Jack: I do quite like the angle for your camera thing,
[2527.75] Jack: so it keeps the horizon in the correct orientation.
[2531.47] Jack: I quite like that feature in B flight.
[2533.99] Stephen: What is it? Oh, yeah.
[2535.27] Stephen: I haven't had the horizon bars on for years, though.
[2538.31] Koel: Oh, just the OSD.
[2540.59] Jack: No, the you can put in your camera degrees.
[2545.51] Jack: Yeah. So it adds to the horizon.
[2549.27] Jack: Oh, that. Yeah. Yeah.
[2550.39] Stephen: Yeah. So it keeps everything like looking like it references
[2555.39] Stephen: the rotation axes about the camera instead of about the quad.
[2559.27] Stephen: It's the idea.
[2560.39] Stephen: So when you do a yaw, it's like camera referenced yaw instead of quad
[2564.35] Yeah: referenced. That sounds like one of your thumbs is lazy and it's not sort of now.
[2569.59] Stephen: Yeah. And later, you're going to get it wrong.
[2572.31] Stephen: That's the trouble.
[2573.03] Stephen: It's going to be tricky to line it up perfect all the time.
[2575.71] Stephen: We'll see you later. I'll get it right.
[2577.15] Stephen: But yeah, you can just coordinate the turn.
[2582.55] Stephen: That's why Jack when Jack threw flew my little AOS three and a half inch.
[2586.79] Stephen: She was just like, oh, this is wrong.
[2588.35] Stephen: You've done something with the camera.
[2590.31] Stephen: You've have you have you added this parameter?
[2592.19] Stephen: And I'm like, no, I haven't.
[2593.35] Stephen: But it's a 45 degrees.
[2595.19] Stephen: So when you do a yaw, it feels like you're doing straws.
[2600.91] Jack: Yeah. Yeah. Weird.
[2603.79] Jack: Because obviously this camera is so off.
[2607.51] Jack: It's just too much.
[2609.27] Jack: I mean, you can't fly that up.
[2611.63] Yeah: It's not blue L 60 degree camera that that's too much.
[2615.63] Stephen: I could even fly it in a city like you do need.
[2618.79] Stephen: Yeah. But don't you ever just put Sims at 50, 55 degrees
[2622.67] Stephen: just to gain it round tracks because otherwise it's.
[2624.71] Stephen: Oh, yeah. Well, that's that's.
[2626.87] Yeah: But in reality, I need to fly around, come back and land.
[2630.15] Yeah: I can't land if I'm looking at the sky.
[2632.79] Yeah: Not accurately.
[2634.39] Koel: And I know it's the same.
[2636.99] Yeah: I know it's traditional to either just like
[2640.27] Yeah: disarm and roll on the grass or land in sheep and stuff like Jack does.
[2646.23] Yeah: You know, crash, find where you're about to land
[2649.67] Stephen: and then tilt so you can see what the hell's going on.
[2653.03] Stephen: I was just I was just getting my revenge.
[2656.03] Yeah: It was like, you know, or used a new bit of flight rescue mode
[2659.43] Yeah: and have it disarm in the air for you.
[2661.47] Stephen: It works well. I think if I'm flying at really high tilt,
[2663.95] Stephen: the way I land is like I come in to the area
[2666.67] Stephen: I want to land looking at where I'm going to land.
[2668.99] Stephen: So a really high tilt.
[2670.83] Stephen: And then I'll pull back while throttling down.
[2674.31] Stephen: And when I sense that I'm starting to like move backwards,
[2676.95] Stephen: then I'll try and be on the ground at that point.
[2679.51] Stephen: Yeah. Yeah.
[2681.31] Koel: Yeah, you wouldn't really be able to pitch forward or else you're going to go
[2683.95] Koel: you're going to just go way forward and be missing.
[2687.31] Stephen: Yeah. Yeah. Just mess up your props.
[2689.71] Stephen: You know, what's that?
[2692.39] Stephen: Yeah, I do. I do quite enjoy it, especially with like ultra light
[2695.47] Stephen: micros where you've got a lot of power because you can just
[2698.83] Stephen: you don't kill the batteries that quickly if you have a bunch of tilt on
[2701.99] Stephen: and it just makes for a more adventurous flying
[2705.39] Stephen: because they don't go that fast unless you put a load of tilt on them.
[2707.95] Stephen: You know, you're just pulling around.
[2710.31] Stephen: No, it's a pretty slow flying experience otherwise.
[2713.51] Jack: Shall I put up some of the kebab FPV?
[2718.71] Jack: I put some steel cable on the quad.
[2721.43] Stephen: I think I'm watching that video.
[2723.27] Stephen: What on earth is he on about?
[2725.99] Jack: I don't I don't know.
[2727.67] Jack: But every now and then I feel like he goes into the desert.
[2730.59] Stephen: That's just a bunch of wire wasker and comes out with a new idea for flying.
[2735.39] Jack: Yeah, he I think there's like some
[2740.03] Jack: steel cable, so it dampens the top plate
[2745.39] Jack: from the bottom plate.
[2746.59] Jack: Kind of. I don't know.
[2748.79] Stephen: 100% steel cable of all the things like.
[2753.31] Yeah: Yeah. Wasn't this a David Wintersdale thing from 12 years ago?
[2756.83] Yeah: Steel cable dampening.
[2758.83] Jack: Well, don't forget Tommy with a clean and dirty plate.
[2763.79] Jack: It's it's steel.
[2765.07] Stephen: Wouldn't you use aluminium or something that's not like a massive weight
[2769.79] Stephen: that's going to throw off everything else?
[2771.99] Stephen: I don't know.
[2772.79] Jack: But, you know, the graph looks promising.
[2776.71] Jack: Hard bound, thin steel, thick steel.
[2780.35] Jack: He's got a massive spike of noise, though.
[2783.07] Koel: The EBR FPV said his conclusion is the steel cable did not work for dampening.
[2788.35] Jack: Yeah. Yeah.
[2790.87] Jack: I haven't watched this, so.
[2792.67] Stephen: Yeah. I mean, fair play for taking the time to try it out.
[2797.75] Yeah: To be fair, it's very useful when people share things that didn't work as well.
[2801.47] Yeah: You know, like lolly sticks also don't work for dampening or, you know, cockroaches,
[2805.79] Yeah: but steel cables where you think they might be so much.
[2811.51] Yeah: Oh, don't start.
[2812.59] Yeah: How many have I got on my tricopter?
[2814.23] Yeah: It's like 50 on there or stuck down.
[2816.87] Stephen: These days, do you even really need to worry?
[2818.79] Stephen: Like you've got a GoPro on it and the GoPro is pretty great at dampening anyway,
[2822.55] Stephen: unless you're flying with one of those three units.
[2825.83] Stephen: Well, you need to think about it.
[2829.71] Yeah: People seem to be very keen.
[2831.15] Yeah: Like if there's even the slightest wobble in any footage, they're like,
[2834.47] Yeah: oh, this is crap.
[2835.27] Yeah: It needs sorting out.
[2836.03] Yeah: I need to I need to fix it.
[2837.71] Yeah: Fix it in post become very,
[2840.55] Yeah: very demanding that everything must be absolutely perfect now.
[2844.47] Jack: Very critical.
[2846.03] Koel: Well, I guess to see a perfection with how easy it is to I guess maybe this
[2852.63] Koel: this could come off as naive, but with how easy it is to get things looking
[2856.63] Koel: perfect these days, you know, that's what we expect.
[2859.91] Koel: Everyone just wants, you know, the smoothest and the cleanest and the, you know.
[2866.07] Jack: Well, I can't even get the exposure right.
[2867.91] Koel: So and that's just that's just a very, very easy setting to change,
[2872.55] Koel: which I will help you.
[2874.03] Koel: Don't worry.
[2875.43] Koel: Don't worry.
[2877.55] Stephen: Did you hear the implication there, Jack?
[2880.51] Jack: Disneyland!
[2882.87] Jack: I shouldn't really do that.
[2883.83] Jack: It's politically correct, but Disneyland.
[2886.91] Stephen: What do you mean?
[2887.39] Jack: Oh, I'm claiming I'm special when I'm on a day trip to Disneyland.
[2893.43] Yeah: Yes, and it plans for episode 400.
[2895.35] Yeah: Yes, we should make Frank come on.
[2897.79] Stephen: Yeah. Yes. Yeah.
[2898.95] Stephen: Good idea, Frank.
[2900.15] Stephen: Thank you for mentioning.
[2901.39] Stephen: We will see you at episode 400.
[2904.59] Stephen: We love Frank.
[2906.19] Stephen: Thank you for volunteering to organize episode 400, Frank.
[2909.47] Stephen: Appreciate it.
[2910.59] Jack: Frank's on. Tony's on.
[2914.11] Jack: Everyone message, send an email to Andy R.C.
[2919.79] Jack: and with the subject, you are a slag and tell him to come on LDI 400.
[2928.51] Jack: The team's getting back together.
[2930.75] Stephen: Speaking of Andy R.C., we talked briefly about doing another run
[2934.35] Stephen: of dog poo bin stickers.
[2936.27] Stephen: I said I'd make that happen if we probably just need to make sure
[2940.67] Stephen: that other people actually want the stickers as well, Jack, I guess.
[2944.43] Yeah: I don't think they do.
[2945.55] Yeah: It doesn't come into Jack's business plan is make the stickers, sell them at a loss.
[2949.15] Yeah: Done. Yay.
[2950.67] Jack: Yes, that's how we it's the same with the shirt.
[2953.95] Jack: You print ones, find out no one wants it, never seen the end.
[2958.43] Stephen: I had to hand in a work laptop, you see.
[2960.59] Stephen: So I down a dog poo bin sticker.
[2963.07] Stephen: So I was thinking, well, push comes to shove.
[2965.79] Stephen: Did you do a run of the dog poo bin stickers?
[2968.75] Stephen: So now I can put more dog poo bin stickers on future laptops.
[2974.27] Jack: Yeah, my other problem is I've had to change my cat to a copyright free cat.
[2984.67] Stephen: So I mean, surely there's another sticker printing service
[2991.47] Stephen: that would let you use OG cat.
[2994.75] Jack: No, it just got annoying.
[2998.35] Stephen: Didn't you hand draw the cat?
[3001.95] Stephen: Oh, yeah, I redone it.
[3003.31] Stephen: But you know, originally, you didn't rip it off.
[3006.27] Stephen: I thought it was hand drawn by you, wasn't it?
[3008.27] Stephen: With a goggles on.
[3009.87] Jack: No, no, I don't.
[3011.79] Jack: Don't on it.
[3012.51] Jack: It was it was a march.
[3014.59] Jack: He got redone.
[3016.03] Jack: It was a homage of another kid like cat.
[3020.35] Jack: But it's because I just love cats.
[3022.35] Jack: But, you know, I mean, these people were giving me hassle about a photoshopped
[3029.87] Jack: meme of Tony and like thinking it was the real Vin Diesel.
[3035.63] Stephen: We should put Tony's arms on.
[3037.07] Stephen: We said this originally.
[3038.11] Stephen: Just got to you got to shrink the arms down quite considerably and just have like
[3043.79] Jack: it'll be recognizable.
[3046.03] Jack: It was just like, yeah, it was the nightmare.
[3048.75] Jack: Like every time I go and do something.
[3051.23] Jack: And the thing is, is they don't contact me.
[3053.87] Jack: They just leave it till I go, hey, where's my stickers?
[3057.55] Jack: And they're like, we've got copyright concerns.
[3059.79] Jack: And it's like, that's nice.
[3061.47] Jack: Didn't think about letting me know.
[3063.23] Jack: So can't.
[3064.91] Stephen: Yeah, it feels like something you should just be able to do at home on a printer.
[3068.83] Jack: Like, yeah, but then it's like, you know, file.
[3072.35] Jack: But yeah, and then obviously like cutting the the the shape out as well.
[3080.73] Yeah: So we need to print on the stuff and have some sort of vinyl cutter to then print them out.
[3088.41] Yeah: Too much money to invest seller loss.
[3093.48] Yeah: We're spending all our money on stickers and T-shirts that no one wants.
[3096.2] Yeah: We can't afford a printer as well.
[3098.84] Yeah: I know.
[3100.36] Yeah: I say I saw an old friend today that was reducing his load of stuff.
[3105.88] Yeah: So I now have an extra 12 motors and 15 year season and things like that.
[3111.0] Yeah: And a new plane.
[3112.04] Yeah: But I've also got another tricopter, which is kind of cool because I always wanted to find.
[3119.16] Yeah: Since we spoke about it last time, and we talked about like,
[3121.32] Yeah: what's flying a tricopter on beta flight using decent stuff like.
[3125.32] Yeah: And my ones feels too nostalgic to do stuff to it.
[3127.96] Yeah: So I'm going to use his one, which is built in almost the same way.
[3131.24] Yeah: It's got the old DT 750s.
[3133.16] Yeah: It's got a KKT on there.
[3134.6] Yeah: We rip that out and put in proper ESCs and a proper flight controller.
[3138.44] Yeah: And we find out.
[3139.24] Yeah: Can you rip something with B&Q wooden arms and 12 inch props?
[3145.0] Jack: I ripped.
[3145.48] Jack: Depends on how stiff those wooden arms are.
[3148.52] Yeah: Yeah.
[3148.84] Yeah: What type of rip they're talking about.
[3149.56] Yeah: They're pine, so that's very strong.
[3150.84] Yeah: They never break.
[3152.12] Yeah: It's going to be fun.
[3153.72] Yeah: Right.
[3155.32] Stephen: Until you land.
[3158.3] Stephen: Landing's fine.
[3159.66] Stephen: You just go to the fields with a couple of rods of pine and a saw, don't you?
[3163.58] Stephen: Call it good.
[3164.94] Yeah: I've still got like loads of pre-drilled arms that I've made up.
[3169.34] Yeah: Years ago for my tricopter.
[3170.7] Yeah: So I could just swap one out easily.
[3173.18] Stephen: It's right.
[3173.58] Stephen: She didn't like swimming at B&Q on the way to the field.
[3178.7] Yeah: I used to buy in bulk.
[3179.74] Yeah: I used to use my MX fun way of put the roof down by buying like three point something
[3184.94] Yeah: meter lengths.
[3185.66] Yeah: And I just fill up the passenger seat and then cut them to size.
[3189.98] Stephen: Like him with a sports car.
[3191.5] Stephen: But he's going to do something cool.
[3192.86] Stephen: Yeah.
[3193.18] Stephen: Stand in the field and give himself really nasty splinters.
[3197.74] Stephen: Exactly.
[3198.94] Jack: Any recommendations on a budget 3D printer for TPU?
[3205.26] Koel: Numskal said Ender 3 with direct drive.
[3209.02] Stephen: Yeah.
[3209.26] Stephen: The clearly ones are quite well reviewed.
[3211.9] Stephen: They come out near the top of the charts.
[3214.22] Stephen: People select them off a lot, but I think actually they're pretty good.
[3218.14] Stephen: And there's a few upgrade options if you really want to.
[3221.1] Stephen: If you're going to do TPU, go for something that's smaller rather than a big printer
[3225.82] Stephen: because the smaller you get, like the faster you can run them without the whole structure
[3229.98] Stephen: vibrating.
[3230.7] Stephen: He said budget.
[3231.66] Stephen: He said budget.
[3232.94] Yeah: Oh, that's not budget.
[3233.82] Yeah: Yeah.
[3234.3] Stephen: That's specifically why I haven't mentioned my guy over there.
[3237.82] Yeah: Mine was free.
[3238.54] Yeah: That's ultimate budget.
[3241.98] Stephen: Start a YouTube channel, then spend five years promoting stuff.
[3245.42] Jack: And then.
[3248.22] Jack: I've got an S1.
[3249.9] Yeah: Everybody likes the Ender 3, don't they?
[3251.74] Yeah: Like NJ and NDRC both got it and then started.
[3255.82] Yeah: Doing their little mods to it to make it better.
[3259.5] Yeah: Seemed good.
[3260.78] Stephen: I mean, I like the Voron 0.1.
[3263.26] Stephen: It's nice, but mine's heavily customized.
[3265.42] Stephen: And I've kind of got into a situation where I need to swap the hot end because it stopped
[3270.14] Stephen: accurately reading temperatures.
[3271.74] Stephen: And I figured that I think when it was built, there was some modifications done to the plugs
[3277.5] Stephen: and they use Molex Microfit 3mm connectors, which are apparently rare as hen's teeth.
[3285.5] Stephen: Especially that the two-pin one has two different orientations.
[3290.14] Stephen: One is vertical with the clip at the top and the other is horizontal with the clip on the wide face.
[3297.02] Stephen: And yeah, surprise, surprise.
[3300.22] Stephen: Mine is using the different orientation than the actual normal provided one.
[3305.5] Stephen: So it's just looking very complex to change the heater, unfortunately.
[3311.26] Yeah: What about the EZ3D X1 Mini 3D printer, says Caroline?
[3315.34] Yeah: For Jack.
[3315.9] Yeah: Just over 100 quid.
[3317.42] Yeah: And does it do TPU okay, Caroline?
[3320.06] Yeah: That's what he wants.
[3321.74] Yeah: He just wants to churn out GoPro mounts endlessly.
[3326.3] Koel: I'm all right.
[3327.58] Koel: Yeah, Boondock Striker says,
[3328.86] Koel: Ender 3 is on sale at Microsoft Center.
[3330.86] Koel: 200 bucks in store only.
[3333.1] Stephen: It's 80 quid.
[3335.9] Stephen: Oh my word.
[3337.1] Stephen: There's a 5% voucher as well.
[3340.06] Stephen: I could buy that just to print some TPU while I'm waiting for parts to arrive for this.
[3345.26] Stephen: What, the EZ3D?
[3346.7] Stephen: The EZ3D.
[3347.98] Stephen: Yeah, X1 Mini is on Amazon, it's 80 quid.
[3354.38] Stephen: And then there's a 5% voucher, which would take off another 4 quid.
[3359.1] Stephen: So it'd be 66 quid.
[3362.38] Stephen: Sorry, 76 quid.
[3365.58] Koel: Interesting.
[3367.82] Koel: Yeah, I don't have a 3D printer yet and I kind of want one,
[3372.78] Koel: but I also kind of don't want one.
[3374.78] Koel: But you kind of need one in this hobby, it seems like.
[3378.46] Koel: Or you need to have a friend who has one.
[3380.46] Yeah: So if you don't have a part, that's weird.
[3384.06] Koel: I never had to make a part really.
[3385.42] Koel: I mean, I have a buddy of mine in Taiwan actually designed this mount for me
[3394.46] Koel: based on a different mount.
[3396.14] Koel: And then someone I know in Toronto printed a bunch of them for me for free.
[3402.78] Koel: It seems like a really big rabbit hole to get into the whole 3D printing space.
[3412.06] Koel: And I guess to get really good quality prints,
[3414.22] Koel: you have to really do your homework and put the time in.
[3417.18] Koel: Or maybe I'm wrong, it just seems like that's the case.
[3420.3] Stephen: Yeah, there's a whole vocabulary to learn with anything.
[3424.3] Stephen: It's not something you just pick up and start doing.
[3426.54] Yeah: As long as you've got a friend that can print it for you, that's as good.
[3430.38] Yeah: It's like Tony doesn't work in his own course.
[3432.3] Yeah: He just uses a jack to make it for him.
[3436.62] Jack: You have an available jack.
[3441.82] Koel: I mean, if I got to pay a couple bucks here or there, I don't mind.
[3445.58] Koel: But I mean, how much is a good printer is at least a good couple hundred dollars, right?
[3451.02] Koel: And then TPU has got to be at least another 30, 40 bucks.
[3455.02] Koel: And then 30 or so bucks for a spool.
[3458.7] Stephen: But spools last seemingly forever.
[3463.1] Yeah: You can spend like 10 hours of your life printing a tiny thing
[3466.3] Yeah: that you'd get free in McDonald's and throw away.
[3469.26] Yeah: What would be better than that?
[3470.3] Koel: Well, and then have to pay for the electricity to use it.
[3473.34] Stephen: It does also mean you get the ability to...
[3475.98] Stephen: If you get to the point where you understand the language,
[3479.26] Stephen: you can sketch up stuff yourself.
[3481.26] Stephen: Or you could say, I don't quite like this camera mount.
[3483.66] Stephen: I want it to be slightly bigger here
[3485.82] Stephen: and you can sort of stretch it and deform it.
[3488.86] Stephen: Put something else stuck on the side of it
[3490.86] Stephen: and then just print it and make it happen,
[3492.94] Stephen: which is kind of cool the first time you do it.
[3495.58] Yeah: I think it's kind of cool when you can literally draw something,
[3500.14] Yeah: hit a button and it pops out and you're like, oh, I made that.
[3503.74] Yeah: It's, you know, but I made it.
[3506.38] Yeah: And then you can go back and make it better and you get good stuff eventually.
[3512.3] Koel: I mean, it does seem pretty cool.
[3513.58] Koel: Like, I mean, and it's not just FPV related, right?
[3516.3] Koel: You can literally print stuff for things you need around the house,
[3519.34] Koel: maybe little random like knickknacks you want to give to friends or whatever, right?
[3525.98] Koel: Your imagination is basically the boundaries on 3D printing.
[3531.34] Yeah: I've printed all my console controllers are sat behind,
[3536.46] Yeah: well, in front of me on the wall,
[3538.78] Yeah: which are 3D printed and little holders for everything.
[3542.78] Yeah: And I've got printed holders downstairs for bits of Dyson Hoover extensions
[3548.86] Yeah: just clip in on the wall.
[3551.9] Koel: Yeah, it seems pretty cool.
[3554.14] Stephen: It enables you to reuse a lot of modern plastic stuff.
[3557.02] Stephen: If you worry about plastic waste,
[3559.34] Stephen: because tiny bits of plastic snap off stuff
[3562.54] Stephen: and you just have to throw the whole larger piece away,
[3565.42] Stephen: then you can kind of just print replacements.
[3568.7] Stephen: It's helped me quite a few times.
[3570.46] Jack: Right. So, I'm going to say an idea.
[3577.34] Jack: You guys are going to say whether it's good or not.
[3580.46] Jack: We're going to wait a few weeks and then see if it appears somewhere.
[3586.3] Jack: No, the suspense.
[3588.94] Jack: I've had an idea.
[3591.42] Jack: See these?
[3593.74] Stephen: No.
[3594.54] Jack: That is a thing that you can't say what it is on YouTube.
[3600.3] Jack: Oops.
[3601.1] Jack: I don't know what it is.
[3601.9] Jack: What is it?
[3602.86] Jack: Well, we don't know what it is anyway.
[3606.3] Yeah: He hasn't got an exposure right.
[3607.5] Stephen: Again, cold, bright and white light.
[3609.18] Koel: Jack exposure, exposure, exposure.
[3613.66] Jack: Oh, it's a pen.
[3616.46] Koel: Don't say you can't see that on YouTube.
[3619.42] Jack: Yeah, it's not.
[3620.7] Koel: Can you write in the private checks?
[3622.14] Yeah: I've got a clue.
[3623.58] Stephen: You cannot say a moisture phase converter.
[3628.54] Stephen: Yes.
[3628.94] Jack: Moisture phase converter.
[3632.3] Koel: Sucky, smoky.
[3634.22] Jack: These are disposable.
[3637.5] Jack: But if you go and find them and pick them up off the floor.
[3641.98] Koel: Like Jack does every time he sees them.
[3644.7] Koel: Can someone write in the check when they're talking about?
[3646.54] Stephen: It's a sensible thing if you're immune compromised.
[3648.54] Stephen: You just pick random stuff off the floor and take it home and cut it up with pliers.
[3653.66] Jack: Yeah.
[3654.22] Jack: So then look inside them, they have little batteries.
[3659.26] Jack: And if you rip them open and then get the little battery,
[3664.14] Jack: I've been thinking, hmm, how many of these little mini batteries?
[3670.78] Stephen: I see like one or two once every couple of weeks.
[3673.98] Stephen: Are they just everywhere where you are?
[3675.58] Yeah: Yeah, yeah, they're just everywhere.
[3677.02] Yeah: I've never seen it on the floor.
[3678.38] Yeah: I clearly live in a much more middle class area.
[3681.58] Koel: Well, anybody between the ages of like 14 to like 30 is probably sucking on these.
[3687.82] Jack: So I've got, I've collected a load of them.
[3692.22] Jack: There you go.
[3692.86] Jack: Look, and they're disposable.
[3695.18] Jack: Are those lipos or lye ions?
[3697.58] Jack: They're lipos.
[3699.9] Jack: So I'm thinking that stick a load of these together and try and fire a quad with them.
[3708.54] Koel: Oh, yeah.
[3709.66] Koel: But what's the C rating on those?
[3712.54] Yeah: We literally watched Caroline's video about making these packs and saying,
[3716.86] Yeah: this is terrifying.
[3717.66] Yeah: Don't ever do this.
[3718.46] Yeah: And you're suggesting we find thrown away random lipo batteries
[3723.58] Yeah: and just join them together and see what happens.
[3728.06] Koel: Yeah.
[3728.54] Koel: Can't go wrong with it, can't go like that.
[3730.62] Koel: Who knows if they've been sitting in the rain.
[3732.62] Yeah: The capacity, the C rating, the anything.
[3735.98] Yeah: Oh my God.
[3736.54] Koel: Jack is collecting.
[3737.9] Stephen: Jack is a, is a, I feel at this point that nothing can go wrong.
[3743.26] Jack: I have quite a large collection.
[3746.46] Stephen: And when they're just below the desk where you knock your drinks over all the time,
[3750.62] Stephen: just for safety.
[3751.82] Stephen: Yeah.
[3752.14] Stephen: Okay.
[3752.78] Jack: So I've, I've saved up a lot.
[3755.18] Jack: I've been doing this for a while now.
[3757.58] Koel: Metal detector magnifying.
[3759.1] Stephen: How many signs have you had to write to offer you a battery collection service?
[3762.94] Jack: A capacity when in series can be quite, quite, uh, quite large.
[3768.62] Stephen: So when in parallel, you mean capacity in parallel.
[3773.74] Stephen: Yeah.
[3773.98] Stephen: Parallel.
[3774.7] Stephen: And then obviously you've got to get it up to six S and I'm imagining combined cell.
[3783.02] Stephen: No, no six.
[3784.06] Stephen: The combined cell would just be a mass of tape with a couple of wires coming outside, right?
[3790.54] Stephen: I don't know.
[3791.26] Stephen: Yeah.
[3791.66] Koel: But that's just make a 100 S pack.
[3795.26] Stephen: Are you going to, are you going to put like, um, okay.
[3798.3] Stephen: So it's four is easier.
[3799.66] Stephen: So four in series and then many in parallel and you put like a balance plug on it and get it.
[3806.06] Jack: No, no, we're only doing just a one shot.
[3809.26] Jack: You're just, we're just charging it right up, seeing how well it works and then going.
[3814.62] Yeah: But we don't know.
[3815.82] Yeah: We don't know how out of balance the cells are going to be before you start charging them.
[3819.42] Yeah: Sure.
[3819.66] Yeah: You don't want to put a balance feed on there.
[3821.42] Koel: You're going to have to do one at a time, get them to a certain voltage.
[3824.22] Jack: And then like, you know, they all start getting to all storage charge,
[3830.22] Jack: soldering them together and then charge it up carefully and very slow outside.
[3835.82] Koel: Jack, please do it outside.
[3837.1] Jack: Yeah, of course.
[3839.02] Yeah: Are you going to film this when you soldered this together?
[3841.1] Yeah: Because I don't want to know what the flames look like.
[3845.1] Jack: I'm going to do it outside.
[3847.1] Jack: Oh, yeah.
[3848.94] Jack: That is definitely live streaming.
[3850.14] Yeah: Look, if the police got you for trying to open the door to your own car,
[3853.9] Yeah: if they see someone outside mending about with a series of batteries.
[3859.66] Yeah: I know.
[3860.14] Koel: Yeah.
[3860.62] Koel: You better be ready to get changed.
[3863.02] Koel: That looks very sketchy.
[3865.42] Jack: But that's my plan anyway.
[3867.42] Jack: And I just wanted to put it out there, see what happens and see whether anyone will do it first.
[3875.42] Stephen: I think you probably want to find out what the C rating was.
[3878.7] Stephen: So you had an idea of like, how much current can they actually sustain?
[3882.94] Stephen: Because you're you're effectively playing with the batteries.
[3885.82] Stephen: They're not even brand new, right?
[3887.74] Stephen: Yeah, they're 550 milliliters.
[3891.5] Stephen: Then we charge the suckers up, albeit at probably like 0.2 C,
[3898.86] Stephen: just to make sure that you actually put charge into them and keep the smoke inside
[3902.54] Stephen: and probably do it in the garden.
[3905.34] Stephen: You know, turn on the charger with a large wooden pole or something.
[3908.38] Yeah: I think it's a good idea, but I think it's only something you could do in Brighton
[3911.58] Yeah: because I've never ever seen discarded these around anywhere else.
[3916.46] Stephen: Everyone here has like the rechargeable ones, not the single use.
[3920.54] Stephen: They've got the rechargeable ones with that big canister on the side.
[3924.38] Koel: Yeah, I think it's like high schoolers and stuff like like younger,
[3928.46] Koel: younger crowds that buy these ones.
[3930.7] Koel: Hmm.
[3931.58] Jack: Yeah, like the.
[3934.7] Jack: I'm just part of me is is like doing this because of like the recycling environmental thing.
[3943.18] Koel: Sure, Jack.
[3944.62] Koel: Yeah, you're a tree hugger.
[3946.06] Koel: He's a tree hugger.
[3946.78] Yeah: You are an inspiration for green people everywhere.
[3950.14] Koel: Yes.
[3951.26] Jack: Yeah, I look this would have been this would have been e-waste.
[3955.5] Jack: This would have been a blight on society.
[3958.7] Koel: And you have started your own recycling factory in your own apartment.
[3962.86] Koel: We love this.
[3963.58] Jack: No, outside my own apartment.
[3967.42] Koel: Well, the storage.
[3969.18] Yeah: We should call Greta Thunberg and tell her that what you're doing just.
[3972.78] Jack: I want a Nobel Prize for this.
[3974.78] Jack: Tell you in the world.
[3975.74] Jack: Laugh all you want.
[3980.46] Koel: On that note, unfortunately, that is all the time we have this week.
[3986.38] Jack: Mm hmm.
[3987.58] Jack: It's all we got time for.
[3989.26] Jack: Our show is sponsored by our lovely patrons who are whizzing past at the bottom of this.
[3996.06] Jack: So if you listen to this audio and all the swearing has been cut out,
[3999.9] Jack: it has been done because those people roll and rock.
[4005.82] Jack: You know, people like David Lockhart, Daniel Upton, Daniel Carboni, Don Robinson, Ben Sciaro,
[4012.94] Jack: FX Nodes, every all those sort of people.
[4016.22] Jack: Thank you.
[4016.78] Jack: All you awesome people.
[4018.54] Jack: Yep.
[4019.9] Jack: You've been joined by everyone's favourite Kerry Kitten.
[4023.26] Jack: Goodbye.
[4024.14] Jack: The man with my staff, Stephen.
[4025.82] Jack: Bye bye.
[4026.38] Jack: The man with a slightly high mic.
[4028.46] Jack: See ya.
[4029.34] Jack: And I've been writing till I fly.
[4030.78] Jack: So I press end.
[4032.3] Jack: Thank you.
[4032.86] Jack: Goodnight.
[4033.74] Jack: Telemetry lost.
