[150.83] Stephen: Well this week we're out in Croatia to fly some truly epic fandos one specifically
[156.87] Stephen: Was at a hospital?

[164.03] Stephen: Fly down there some cool graffiti loads and loads of gaps

[169.07] Stephen: Then we went off to it to another disused factory and did a lot of dives and a whole load of concrete pillars and people

[178.95] Stephen: And yeah, I believe we've got some kind of night flying plans as well
[183.23] Stephen: I'm here just for the first week where the guys are making two weeks of it things have already been broken
[188.47] Stephen: But everyone's still in the air, which is good to see

[192.51] Stephen: Perhaps everyone could have talked about their their moment so far that they've been up to

[259.43] Stephen: And so from this maybe I just didn't go back home and invest in my own quads. Hey, so

[273.75] Stephen: There we go. And I not really broke much. I think I've been a bell

[283.51] Stephen: Then the bro and bent a prop. Yeah, I'm just I'm relaxing a bit more than other people
[289.51] Stephen: I'm much more of a casual flyer. So I'm kind of more of an obvious side of it
[296.15] Stephen: I'm hoping to get a lot better which is why I come out with these guys to learn
[300.27] Stephen: Get pushed to crash my drone into the roof of the building

[322.59] Stephen: I'm normally one smashing many things up each weekend
[326.55] Stephen: I'm on a new which it was frame and they not spend a moment switch
[331.59] Stephen: It's very good combo. So
[334.51] Stephen: Minimal break just only one plate and that's why it's so
[338.39] Stephen: Very good. I've been cruising around like a granddad
[341.47] Stephen: So I haven't broken a lot of stuff but I didn't have a nasty fall where I not power out from my vista at full throttle
[348.07] Stephen: kind of 50 meters up
[350.47] Stephen: And I absolutely bran trouser myself
[353.99] Stephen: I completely lost the quad because it was a full tilt going towards a road
[357.79] Stephen: It seemed to bounce off a tree and man perfectly on the cross and so far
[361.63] Stephen: I've bent one drop but to make out feel better. I did change my set props because he said they look dirty
[370.27] Failsafe: I've probably broken the most here
[373.51] Failsafe: I broke an arm broken a couple antennas in a props and
[377.79] Failsafe: Within the course of two days. I broke three walks now BTX's

[383.27] Failsafe: Yeah, it's been an expensive three days. We've learned things about we've learned a lot about
[388.79] SwissFPV: A hell of a lot about what snail but it's still great. I swear
[401.27] SwissFPV: Yeah, I was lucky enough to break anything yet Mike what two of them just didn't work and
[407.23] SwissFPV: I was lucky enough to be here with all these people
[410.51] SwissFPV: Who helped me to build another quad superfly frame sync mode and with all the best components?
[417.71] SwissFPV: There is a man who actually helped me to put the crops on and other little bits and buffs
[422.87] SwissFPV: But now I need to practice the new whole drone
[427.07] SwissFPV: Because it lies so good but figures cross. I'm not gonna crush it and not gonna break anything and

[436.11] Failsafe: I've been doing a lot more flying inside this time. Last year. I flew outside quite a bit and
[443.11] Failsafe: I've been lucky so far. I've only broken my GoPro a little bit and a few props so so far so good

[454.95] Stephen: It's like he's an ambitious one. Let's go. So far. I've broken

[464.64] Stephen: An old three and an action two in one crash that was quite impressive go through camera and
[470.68] Stephen: I think that's very I think we can write off those first camera plates
[475.24] Stephen: No, the camera plates are broke. I'm just gonna keep running down
[478.0] Stephen: I was three Instagram so hard that he just trumpeted out
[484.92] Stephen: And I crashed in and
[487.24] Stephen: The the new bundle that we headed to there was
[489.88] Stephen: It seems like there's two of the only wet parts of Croatia at the minute are at this Bando
[494.84] Stephen: And I flew two packs and landed in both of the wet parts of Croatia
[501.8] Stephen: Not a sign of rain and this guy finds puzzles. Yeah, I find the only two pedals in in the bandos and
[508.68] Stephen: Luckily, nothing died, which is which is very good

[513.32] Stephen: Yes, that's where it's from. Yeah, I think there are just a lot of props. Yeah, I'm probably also mentioned

[526.92] Stephen: Everyone else just road crept it from the UK. So, you know kudos
[530.24] Stephen: I think there was some oh and one other guy who did a plane and a coach trip with us
[534.56] Stephen: Yeah, yeah, actually I had the longest trip to get in here, but it is
[541.08] Stephen: I don't know about the longest. I drove for 13 hours on there on Friday. All right, so the most
[548.84] Stephen: By the sound of it the road trip quite painful
[551.08] Stephen: But you all got to take all your batteries all your tools and everything which has made life easier once you've got here
[556.56] Stephen: Yeah, yeah, it was very elemental
[560.08] Stephen: No one got arrested
[562.88] Stephen: Say something about that something about what I don't know what you're talking about
[566.56] Stephen: Some interesting places, you know places that you can find both incision at 3 a.m.

[585.56] Stephen: Say the name of it and it was just romantic romantic living hotel. Yeah, the romantic living hotel
[591.92] Stephen: Was where the road trip stayed on Saturday night. It's a lovely place
[596.88] Stephen: Very yeah had a really nice trip apart right in the middle of the beautiful room very expensive bathroom. I hear as well

[607.36] Stephen: So a lot of times have been had and we're staying out in the middle of the countryside. I'm driving to the Bando and
[613.76] Stephen: There's plenty of space here for testing things and just been ripping around the house a little bit to make sure everything works
[620.8] Stephen: I've swapped over. I thought I've broken a vista. I hadn't I just shared off a UFL on it
[626.36] Stephen: So I'm sort of on walks now on myself just in time for all these news articles to come out saying how bad what's now is
[632.8] Stephen: feels awesome
[635.88] Stephen: Yes, and this guy here has been breaking what's now BTX is like they're going out fashioned
[640.64] Stephen: So I just really really hate what's in there. I decided I just want to break every single BTX
[645.52] Stephen: So you should just go all three what we've learned is that you really really should have a back on your HD
[652.76] Stephen: BTX never trust a 9-volt. I never trust the manufacturers of work up to success recommendation. It's just not
[659.6] Stephen: This guy's on for us and he's just trashing the money crashes the spikes he gets from crashing or enough to just destroy BTX's
[666.88] Stephen: It's just a testament to how hard I fly, right?
[670.48] Stephen: Why not crash on?

[676.52] Stephen: So what's been going on in the UK?
[679.04] Curry: Well, I was gonna ask you you guys since it sounds like most of your flying digital
[684.0] Curry: How is that holding up in the sort of Bando situation?
[687.16] Curry: I saw the big was at a hospital where you just went through a corridor for it seemed like miles and
[692.04] Curry: There's an awful lot of concrete about and stuff. How's the digital stuff holding up there?
[699.32] Stephen: Which is 700 meters is about the max length that you can fly with digital
[705.52] Stephen: I'm kind of a kind of 700 milliwatt to 1 watt level
[709.2] Stephen: And some guys were flying on analog, but I think they're flying much more proximity style flying. I
[715.52] Stephen: Was also and of last year and I could get most of the way down the corridor, but not all the way
[723.12] Stephen: But that's when I stood in the corridor as well. Yeah
[728.56] Stephen: You need to really think about where you're standing when you're flying out
[731.72] Stephen: You can fly it one of the guys here. I think hurry you might have reviewed this the two and a half what?
[737.36] Stephen: VTX with a little fan on top of me. Oh
[739.96] Curry: Yeah, the the rush FPV one
[742.92] Stephen: Yeah, so he's flying that and that seems to work pretty well
[746.36] Stephen: But he's a one watt or two and half watts most of the time to get around from the issues
[751.68] Stephen: He doesn't have an antenna
[758.28] Stephen: Most people mount their antennas in a big lump of TPU at the back of the quad
[762.32] Stephen: But the unlock but whatever reasons decided to make it put it in the most exposed situation
[767.44] Stephen: Sticking out the back of his GoPro mount and so it's obviously just destroyed pretty much every crash
[773.48] Stephen: But he's having a great time
[777.69] Stephen: He's not here right now. That's that's our
[779.69] Stephen: Crazy early to go to the van though. It's six o'clock. It's mine. Just say people that can do it. Yes
[790.61] Stephen: Well, someone's gonna go have a look and see about
[793.85] Stephen: But yeah, he's been having a great time. It's broken a few bits, but everyone like I said, I think he's still in the air
[798.97] Stephen: at this point
[801.57] Stephen: Longest record for the longest build of a quad ongoing because it's been about a week now and he's still not managed to solder everything up
[808.77] Stephen: I'll also have a really interesting
[811.25] Stephen: Finding technique where he lost it by his approach to finding the products was to fly another quad and crash it in exactly the same way
[823.41] Stephen: And it sounds so stupid
[825.73] Curry: But it was absolutely there is if you keep going and then she just end up with a pile and that's you can see it
[831.33] Curry: From a better distance. It was it like a thicket of thorn bushes. It was horrible
[835.97] Stephen: I got about like half a meter into it and I couldn't move without inflicting pain on myself
[842.93] Stephen: Yeah, so it was tricky
[846.53] Curry: So why are there so many massive bandos are these like unfinished building projects?
[852.45] Stephen: Yeah
[852.69] Stephen: So you may remember in the conflict in this part of the world
[855.81] Stephen: it was supposed to be a hospital and some someone did a runner with all the money and left this half finished building and
[862.21] Stephen: It sounds like they still haven't got proper hospitals and whenever there's a medical emergency. Unfortunately, they have lots of tents and things but
[869.89] Stephen: Yeah, one of these
[871.97] Stephen: Local politicians and the times of conflict just did a runner with all the money
[878.78] Curry: nice
[883.18] Curry: You can just get on with things there and nobody bats an eyelid. Oh, yeah, so the security situation well
[889.42] Stephen: At one end there's still a warehouse and um
[891.98] Stephen: The guys made the mistake of turning up there because they didn't have the local knowledge and the security guys don't like people
[897.26] Stephen: Flying around the warehouse, but the rest of it's completely unused
[900.94] Stephen: So we were flying up the other end a security guard came along
[904.94] Stephen: He chatted to one of the local guys were very friendly
[908.14] Stephen: We gave him an ice cream and he stood there for 15 minutes having a bit of a chat and watching us fly around
[913.18] Stephen: He was perfectly cool
[915.1] Stephen: It sounds like the liability laws are different here
[918.38] Stephen: Like if someone comes onto your property and hurts themselves
[920.86] Stephen: It's not your fault as property owner, which makes it much easier to go and fly at these bandos
[928.3] Stephen: Cool, um one of the plans for the rest of the trailer
[932.94] Stephen: Um, not breaking a law
[937.74] Stephen: Which is uh, we'll eat everything you basically eat someone and pan around
[943.98] Stephen: Give a little piece on splashy
[946.3] Stephen: And then yes, a flash key is uh, it's a blender old
[951.18] Stephen: uh paper factory I believe and
[954.14] Stephen: It will literally consume anything that that steps on it. Uh, that is drones humans
[960.6] Stephen: animals
[961.98] Stephen: Uh, it is probably one of the most brutal places on on the planet
[966.3] Stephen: But it is also one of the best bandos i've ever been to so that's gonna be fun

[978.86] Stephen: The history of it is um, it was a human blender
[985.82] Stephen: Which they which they read uh, what's the word for they really
[989.58] Stephen: We put this as a abandoned building for fb pellets
[994.3] Stephen: Which is very you know, very nice very nice
[997.48] Stephen: Unfortunately, it still works as a paper blender
[1000.7] Stephen: Yeah, it can do a very good job blender part of it still active
[1004.38] Stephen: Quite active. I hear you're bearing scars from previous trips. Yes. Um, I don't want to go back to you to get a match set
[1010.22] Stephen: I don't know if we'll be able to see them all the the amount of mosquito bites they have but i'll um
[1015.42] Stephen: Yeah, i'll i'll show it at some point
[1018.54] Stephen: Also, uh philip one of the local guys that we've here oblivion and nailed go through his foot as well
[1023.74] Stephen: Yeah, he did. Yeah, just went straight through
[1026.3] Stephen: I felt I felt down the a man as well down a dream
[1030.06] Stephen: Yeah, when we go there, we have to warn everybody like all the drains others are just gone. So and
[1036.7] Stephen: I don't know what you were doing. We've got like
[1039.18] Stephen: OBS inception we've gone meter exception. You see it? Yeah
[1043.66] Stephen: No, it's just all bs from all we can see is all bs. No, no, it's good. It's good. Oh, oh, there we go
[1049.42] Stephen: There's plastic
[1051.58] Stephen: So lots of towers to drive the main attraction, right?
[1054.94] Stephen: Uh, well, no the towers there's there's like one big tower I think but the main attraction would be
[1061.18] Stephen: Like in one of the main buildings it's all opening inside. You can fly all around it and there's uh,
[1066.62] Stephen: Giant holes that go through like two sets of giant holes
[1070.38] Stephen: So you've got about three or four stories that you can just literally just fly straight up and then dive down the other side
[1077.34] Stephen: There's there's buildings like this building there what i'm seeing there. That's um
[1082.14] Stephen: Like yeah, there's there's the bits that you see with the uh, yeah with the holes that you can just dive and donut round
[1088.78] Stephen: and all of the stairs are turned into
[1091.34] Stephen: sand dunes
[1096.46] Stephen: You can take the stairs all the way up but nobody in the right room would
[1101.58] Stephen: So if you lose a quad if you lose a quad, I mean, yeah, you you gotta hope that somebody's
[1106.7] Stephen: Um got a more big lack of self-preservation because that's what you need to go i'm willing to be brawling
[1113.9] Stephen: Um, yeah
[1115.9] Stephen: Because they're just perilous absolutely perilous those stairs
[1119.26] Stephen: I mean I went about halfway up and going up isn't too bad
[1122.38] Stephen: So you get about halfway up and then you're like, oh, yeah
[1124.78] Stephen: No, i'm gonna turn around and then you turn around look down you're like
[1129.5] Stephen: And yeah
[1131.66] Stephen: Just kind of broken step through it. Uh, yeah, well they're not so much broken. They're just completely covered in sand
[1136.78] Stephen: It's more like a ramp. Oh, yeah
[1139.42] Stephen: A very slippery sandy ramp. Yeah
[1144.38] Stephen: Sounds I may not be going to splasky
[1148.86] Stephen: I've never been a coordinator for being kind of clumsy just just don't go upstairs. Yeah

[1159.02] Stephen: That's the crash that's the crash to get nails through your feet

[1165.42] Stephen: But yeah

[1178.38] Stephen: Gave me his quad to fly. I i've given him fine to fly a bit early and I was like, oh, let's try the other three
[1183.5] Stephen: Uh, and we found out what happens when um, someone goes on the same channel
[1186.86] Stephen: But you don't have auto channel on the other three
[1188.86] Stephen: So yeah, you're pretty much if you run in all three, you just just leave that on just leave it on auto
[1193.02] Stephen: Yeah, because otherwise someone goes on the same channel as you and you just kind of gets through just doing some ash
[1198.7] Stephen: Yeah mash for business. Yes. So yeah, I flew kiss again jack
[1203.74] Stephen: Kiss, yeah, I flew a kiss
[1206.54] Stephen: proper kiss squad with a
[1208.54] Stephen: proper fusil frame
[1210.86] Stephen: Oh, oh you see there jack scott kiss ultra t-shirt. What's this kiss ultra merchandise?

[1222.62] Stephen: Omg, yeah
[1225.42] Stephen: He's got quite linear rates. So he was a bit. I was a bit like oh, this is very slow
[1229.74] Stephen: Of course very slow and i've got a ton of expo and
[1233.9] Stephen: Much higher rates and and he was not happy about that
[1237.58] Stephen: But um, yeah
[1241.02] Curry: Soft bit of knowledge. It'd be very nice. What are the recovery options like someone mentioned
[1246.14] Curry: Hitting a roof and having to get stuff. Is it when you're outside in grass?
[1250.38] Curry: That's bad. But if you're crashing inside a dodgy building
[1253.82] Curry: Someone here can climb quite well
[1257.34] Stephen: A couple of people are okay. I I thought I've lost a quite an I was going to have to get a machete
[1262.06] Stephen: Yes, we did bring a machete and hacked through the undergrowth
[1265.74] Stephen: But then alph just kind of descended a small tree
[1271.5] Stephen: Without prompting and said yeah, that's easy. And the next thing I had my quarterback in my hands 20 seconds later
[1279.02] Stephen: um
[1280.54] Stephen: Yeah, so some people are much better at climbing and others. Yeah, I think the first day I yeah, i've got your quad didn't I?
[1286.86] Stephen: Damien rested like to get my quad back. I managed to get a
[1291.1] Stephen: Because I wasn't powering off a beck my walk snail disconnected halfway through a flight and I got it stuck on the roof
[1299.1] Stephen: Well, I crushed three that day all irrecoverable unless you use
[1303.26] Stephen: Climbing and rocks and ropes and everything else
[1307.02] Stephen: Uh, yeah, you were mati flipping a concrete trench that was five meters in the air and you landed in the concrete trench
[1314.14] Stephen: You know the other five times before that I landed the mati flat. So
[1317.66] Failsafe: How did you get that one out of the concrete trench then uh with great help from friends?
[1326.3] Failsafe: There were no there were no failed attempts they involved crushing my own quad back into the trench
[1331.74] Failsafe: And then having to get my friends to get both of the quads back out
[1338.06] Stephen: It's amazing how good an idea it seems to be to rescue a quad with another quad when you've only got one quad left
[1343.98] Stephen: To be fair though
[1345.82] Stephen: Alf did do that at the mega panda. Yeah, because he he crashed a drone. We lost it
[1351.1] Stephen: um
[1351.98] Stephen: and
[1353.34] Stephen: his genius plan of
[1356.78] Stephen: Finding the drone was to take his other drone
[1359.9] Stephen: um
[1360.94] Stephen: And try and replicate the crash
[1363.18] Stephen: But pay attention to where he crashed and it actually worked and he landed within three meters of the other drone
[1367.9] Stephen: We found both like that. Fantastic
[1369.9] Stephen: Like it actually worked. Yeah, like none of us expected it to work. I think we all shook his hand fair enough, mate
[1376.54] Stephen: you know
[1377.82] Stephen: The years in disbelief for that. Yeah that yeah
[1381.34] Stephen: He found it within two or three minutes of rep again. Yeah
[1385.34] Failsafe: Yeah, he was beepers people
[1387.5] Stephen: Yeah
[1388.3] Stephen: That's what i've got
[1389.34] Stephen: Alf is someone who refuses to install beepers because I think he still refused to install beepers after spending two hours looking for a quad
[1397.58] Stephen: Yeah, he spent the entire afternoon analyzing the DVR footage frame by frame
[1402.78] Stephen: to replicate the crash and then it
[1406.22] Stephen: I lost my first drone in the tree because the battery just sagged out and um
[1411.5] Stephen: It just completely died as soon as it went up
[1413.58] Stephen: It just went straight down into the top of the tree and I just couldn't find it because there's too many trees about and um
[1419.82] Stephen: Yeah, I spent hours looking for that went back the next day couldn't find it at all and after that i'm like, yeah beepers is the way it was
[1430.42] Stephen: Unless you're good at either the five trees beepers
[1433.46] Stephen: Yeah, but yeah, i'd say 90
[1436.26] Stephen: 95 of the mega bundle is
[1438.64] Stephen: accessible for
[1439.94] Stephen: Recovery if you can climb and so this is not it's not too bad if you end up tonight
[1448.1] Curry: Well, I hope you got enough pods to last another week you guys that are doing another week
