[13.0] Jack: Massive thank you to… [14.4] Jack: Carlos Campos! [16.12] Jack: Art Faulkner. [17.84] Frank: Sam Dahmer. [19.68] Frank: On with the show. [20.68] Cookbook Club: Hello, and welcome to Let's Drone Out. [56.58] Cookbook Club: And this week, by the fantastic Tone Star. [60.5] Cookbook Club: Bonjour. [61.5] Cookbook Club: And myself, Stephen, with the silly moustache, your favourite Doctor Robotnik impersonator. [68.86] Cookbook Club: Jack will be joining us later, he's just a little bit busy right now, and we thought [73.78] Cookbook Club: we'd go live near the normal time, so you don't all think we're skipping a show. [79.38] Cookbook Club: He will be with us shortly. [82.46] Cookbook Club: This week's Beer of the Week is a stout from Pressure Drop, and it's a coconut beer. [89.18] Cookbook Club: It's a coconut and raspberry stout, of all things, which I'm choosing as my dessert [94.3] Cookbook Club: after dinner today. [95.3] Tony: Is that what they call a pastry stout? [98.78] Cookbook Club: Mmm. [99.78] Cookbook Club: Hmm. [100.78] Tony: I'll forget to try one. [103.7] Cookbook Club: Surprisingly more-ish. [105.7] Cookbook Club: Probably will rot your teeth, there's a lot of sugar. [109.18] Tony: How much, what percent, ten? [111.1] Cookbook Club: Oh, this is only, I think this is just six and a half. [114.02] Cookbook Club: So this is really one of a driving beer, really. [120.5] Tony: Pressure Drop, we're a good company, I do like Pressure Drop. [124.18] Tony: I've actually just started a YouTube channel on beer drinking. [129.74] Tony: Oh, really? [131.58] Tony: I want a fortune. [133.58] Tony: Yeah, it's just me and my mate were doing it, and we were, I was collecting every single [138.22] Tony: can. [139.22] Tony: I've got so many cans, it's ridiculous, I had to put some in the loft. [141.98] Tony: And I was like, how are we going to know what ones we like to know? [145.82] Tony: Because we started a spreadsheet, and then we both couldn't be asked to add to it. [149.06] Tony: Untagged, mate. [150.06] Tony: Do you ever use that? [152.06] Tony: Yeah, we have a few times. [155.74] Cookbook Club: So this is Cookbook Club. [156.74] Cookbook Club: Yeah, I just keep a list, because sometimes I come across stuff and I think, oh, that [161.26] Cookbook Club: looks like a nice beer, I'll have that, but have I had it before? [164.94] Cookbook Club: And then I'll look, and be like, oh yeah, I have had it before. [167.42] Cookbook Club: It was dog water. [168.42] Tony: Yeah. [169.42] Cookbook Club: It's just got a clever name, you know? [171.5] Tony: That's exactly what I'm doing. [173.26] Tony: There was a Polys co-lab with Cloudwater last week, my drunker, I thought, oh, this is going [178.42] Tony: to be smashing. [180.42] Tony: Absolutely, pants, pardon me. [183.34] Tony: And Polys is always spot on, Polys is such a good brewery. [188.46] Tony: Cloudwater used to be, but I think they've gone downhill now. [192.54] Tony: So I think it was Cloudwater made it not very good. [195.1] Cookbook Club: Rest on your own, guys. [197.1] Tony: Yeah, it was, meh, meh, it was lemony and just not all that good. [204.14] Cookbook Club: I've just ordered a crate, well, two, two 12-packs from Lost and Grounded, because I'm [212.3] Cookbook Club: rather fond of the Cezanne de Avon. [215.66] Cookbook Club: Maybe it should be Cezanne de Avon, I don't know. [219.1] Cookbook Club: Maybe it's supposed to illustrate like that. [220.9] Cookbook Club: But anyway, it's like a Belgian style beer, but made in the UK, I think. [226.42] Cookbook Club: They're up in the north somewhere, I'm not exactly sure where. [229.46] Cookbook Club: But 6.5% comes in like half-litre cans. [234.58] Cookbook Club: So you can drink it with a bit more abandon than you can the Belgian ones, but it's still [240.94] Cookbook Club: got that lovely depth of flavour, which is quite nice. [245.18] Tony: So what should we rename them? [248.18] Tony: Let's run out. [249.74] Tony: Let's drink out, yeah. [254.34] Tony: Because let's face it. [255.42] Tony: Now, have you flown? [257.54] Cookbook Club: I have not flown, no, no, I've been, I think I may have cracked open the sim and did a [264.78] Cookbook Club: little bit of sim bashing, but that's all. [268.42] Tony: What I've done is watched the T50 Agra Stromes, is it? [274.46] Tony: Or the DJI? [276.3] Cookbook Club: The agricultural ones. [278.42] Tony: Yeah, they're bloody brilliant. [280.82] Tony: Have you seen any of that stuff? [283.78] Cookbook Club: I bet you could probably go to work slung under one of those, couldn't you? [287.54] Tony: I reckon it could carry me. [290.46] Cookbook Club: Yeah, that'd be something. [293.26] Cookbook Club: I did see Blood's video, Blood's posted a video of him going through Uncrashed and he [298.62] Cookbook Club: gets like the gold medal on all of the tracks and to be honest, it's kind of sickening as [303.46] Cookbook Club: I realised I've probably put hours into that simulator and I can just about scrape still [308.66] Cookbook Club: from some of them, but he's just like nailing the gold medal on every track. [313.42] Cookbook Club: Yeah, yeah, I'm not going to be a racer, definitely not. [318.7] Tony: Yeah, you've got to constantly do it. [322.06] Tony: When I was doing it, I was, it was, well it started off passion, like I'd go out with [327.9] Tony: the lads around here that I've met, quite a lot of good friends now from flying, but [335.54] Tony: we used to just all go out, like no matter what the weather, even if it had rained, we'd [340.98] Tony: go out because we were so like, come on let's set up some gates and go down to Hinn Valley [345.74] Tony: or meet down there, set up gates and just fly all day every day and it was, you know, [351.06] Tony: it was a thing to do back then because it was new and really cool. [355.26] Cookbook Club: Yeah, and I saw it stratified a bit and the good guys were really good and you kind of [360.7] Cookbook Club: know that yeah, you could maybe have a bit of a laugh but you're never going to be amazing, [365.86] Cookbook Club: whereas I think back then there were so few people doing it, everyone was still learning [370.18] Cookbook Club: and you could just get a lucky week and just, you know, tear through the field. [374.26] Tony: Yeah, pretty much. [375.26] Tony: I had some good times doing it and some good races, but yeah, it was just a lot of pressure [383.1] Tony: of being in the top three, especially when you're sponsored and then trying to, you know, [388.58] Tony: trying to drive everywhere every weekend and stuff like that, it was a bit too much. [393.66] Cookbook Club: When it becomes more like a commitment rather than just a laugh, rather than something new [398.3] Cookbook Club: you're exploring, you've got to watch out because it kind of brought the fun a bit. [403.98] Tony: Yeah, it kind of did that. [406.18] Tony: So I still don't know whether I'm going to go and do pop a next boss thing yet, to be [411.46] Tony: honest. [412.46] Tony: I probably will or just turn up and say hello to people that I haven't seen for a little [419.38] Tony: while. [420.38] Cookbook Club: Yeah, there's some interesting bits and bobs coming out still. [424.94] Cookbook Club: A few new developments, I guess, that have appeared, I think, Curry, he's been busy coding, [430.7] Cookbook Club: he's not been on the show, but he's having some luck getting apparently Wi-Fi joysticks [436.46] Cookbook Club: or anything. [437.46] Cookbook Club: I didn't know this, that you have Wi-Fi joysticks, but apparently you can and he's got them talking [443.5] Cookbook Club: to a sim, which is interesting. [446.1] Tony: What's the PlayStation and Bluetooth? [447.94] Cookbook Club: Yeah, pretty much everything uses Bluetooth. [451.62] Cookbook Club: I think the Nvidia Shield had like Wi-Fi direct, so Wi-Fi is supposed to be a bit lower latency, [457.82] Cookbook Club: it's a bit more power hungry, but it's a bit faster. [460.94] Cookbook Club: And apparently, ELRS has added some Wi-Fi support. [463.98] Cookbook Club: I can't pretend to know how this stuff works. [466.1] Cookbook Club: A lot of the time I'll be like, oh, yeah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, that protocol, [470.02] Cookbook Club: that protocol. [471.02] Cookbook Club: It uses some derivative of the Apple Pongjour thing that announces hardware and announces [477.34] Cookbook Club: the joystick that way. [478.34] Cookbook Club: But beyond that, I'm not too sure. [481.34] Tony: I wouldn't have a clue. [483.34] Cookbook Club: Yeah, well, anyway, he's getting that working for his coding sim, so that's cool. [489.74] Cookbook Club: There's been a helicopter flight controller of all things, so something that you almost [495.26] Cookbook Club: never ever hear, because by and large, helis don't really get modified, do they? [503.06] Cookbook Club: They're kind of, you buy it and you stick with it, you're not putting any flight controller [507.38] Cookbook Club: in your heli. [509.34] Cookbook Club: But RadioMaster have released just that, they've released a flight controller for helis, which [515.7] Cookbook Club: is kind of nuts. [516.7] Cookbook Club: They call it the Nexus. [518.7] Tony: I think I had a, what didn't I have something called Nexus, wasn't it? [525.1] Tony: Wasn't it a Tesco or something, iPad-y thing, the Nexus? [529.62] Cookbook Club: That was the, Google used to have a tablet called the Nexus. [532.7] Tony: Yeah, that's it. [533.7] Tony: Yeah. [534.7] Cookbook Club: So this doesn't look like it. [536.42] Cookbook Club: That's what you got. [537.78] Cookbook Club: Pretty beefy, obviously, heli's not too worried about lift and weight with that damn great [543.38] Cookbook Club: rotor. [544.38] Cookbook Club: So they put it in a big fat aluminium shell, CNC, pretty nice. [550.26] Cookbook Club: I imagine that could take a direct hit without too much trouble. [554.18] Cookbook Club: And obviously, they're doing this as a bundle with their own Express RS receivers, you've [558.9] Cookbook Club: got a little plug and go cable for their Express RS kit. [563.78] Cookbook Club: You've got a whole bunch of other bugs for stuff. [567.34] Cookbook Club: I don't know what, I presume this thing can take GPS as well, I'm guessing. [572.1] Cookbook Club: It's got a USB-C socket. [574.18] Cookbook Club: It's got headers for about a million different servos, or whatever you do with servos on heli. [583.38] Cookbook Club: And this is designed to run rotor flight. [585.86] Cookbook Club: Rotor flight is a fork with beta flight, they forked in about 4.3. [591.18] Cookbook Club: And they've had a whole bunch of success. [593.02] Cookbook Club: I think we've mentioned Dr. Rudder in the past, who appears to be the pseudonym and [598.3] Cookbook Club: developer there. [599.3] Tony: One of Jack's favourite phrases. [602.3] Cookbook Club: Yeah, Dutch Rudder. [604.18] Cookbook Club: We don't know if he's Dutch or not, but that's just a rumour. [610.26] Cookbook Club: You can do RPM filtering, obviously, with a heli. [612.74] Cookbook Club: You really want some RPM filtering because that thing's going to shake itself for pieces. [619.3] Cookbook Club: You've got 128 megs of flash, which is pretty generous, so you can log your flights and [624.3] Cookbook Club: tune this thing. [625.3] Cookbook Club: So this is like a serious helicopter flight controller for people who want to tune their [630.54] Cookbook Club: helis and plug in GPS's into all sorts of crazy stuff. [635.54] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [636.54] Cookbook Club: It remains to be seen how big the market is, but I imagine at this point, ready a master, [642.78] Cookbook Club: just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. [645.02] Cookbook Club: They put out that MT12 car controller, and I'm starting to see some of the racers pick [650.22] Cookbook Club: that up. [651.22] Cookbook Club: These people who go and record crazy times screaming around with 112th, 110th scale RC [658.86] Cookbook Club: cars, and it seems to have been popular with them. [661.62] Cookbook Club: So maybe they'll see some support in the heli community as well. [666.7] Tony: I bought some of them RC car racing, looks quite good. [672.8] Tony: I don't know if I'd be able to control it from up on the side. [677.8] Tony: I probably would, but not... [681.8] Tony: I'd like the outdoor ones though. [683.8] Tony: There's actually an outdoor circuit at my local shooty place, airsoft place. [691.8] Cookbook Club: Oh, cool. [692.8] Cookbook Club: Fair few and far between. [693.8] Tony: It's a nice day. [695.8] Tony: Yeah. [696.8] Tony: I should take my truck and that around there, really. [700.8] Cookbook Club: It looks like it does high speed servos as well. [703.8] Cookbook Club: So you've got... [705.8] Cookbook Club: I don't know what these... [706.8] Cookbook Club: I think that this is... [707.8] Tony: One-shot monkey shot and de-shot there. [710.8] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [711.8] Cookbook Club: Obviously de-shot, yeah. [713.8] Cookbook Club: I mean, you've got ESC frequency sensor as well. [716.8] Cookbook Club: I don't know. [717.8] Cookbook Club: That's a bit odd. [718.8] Cookbook Club: Presumably if you've got BL Heli 32, you can take frequency off there, but obviously you [722.8] Cookbook Club: just do that off de-shocks. [723.8] Cookbook Club: It works better. [727.8] Cookbook Club: Yeah, interesting. [728.8] Cookbook Club: Hopefully this takes off. [730.8] Cookbook Club: We see a bit of an explosion in Heli's because I think it's been kind of a locked down, very [737.8] Cookbook Club: expensive market. [738.8] Cookbook Club: There hasn't been a lot of hobbyist input into Heli's until you get to the real premium [743.8] Cookbook Club: stuff, but this could open it up for more low budget experimentation. [749.8] Cookbook Club: The people build Heli's? [751.8] Cookbook Club: I guess at the really big end they do, right? [753.8] Cookbook Club: It's like anything. [754.8] Cookbook Club: You get to the really fancy planes and everything above a certain size is basically a custom [758.8] Cookbook Club: job, isn't it? [762.8] Cookbook Club: I can't say I know. [764.8] Cookbook Club: The only Heli I've got is a toy. [766.8] Cookbook Club: I've never bothered to get a serious one. [768.8] Cookbook Club: But I have heard that some of the models that NJ was looking at, there was a very popular [775.8] Cookbook Club: manufacturer and he had a completely blank... [780.8] Cookbook Club: manufacturer's name, but I think they were working with the rotor flight guys to get [785.8] Cookbook Club: compatibility with some of their models as an aftermarket upgrade. [791.8] Tony: Would you reckon the USB-C for updating and stuff? [795.8] Cookbook Club: Yeah, yeah, and configuration. [797.8] Cookbook Club: They've got a configurator like Betaflight's got rebranded from rotor flight. [801.8] Cookbook Club: Oh, right. [802.8] Tony: They've got the USB-C as well. [805.8] Cookbook Club: 80 bucks though, but you're paying a lot to get that aluminium shell, to get the tool [809.8] Cookbook Club: into that one-off bit of aluminium is probably where most of the money's gone. [815.8] Cookbook Club: Anyway, yeah. [817.8] Cookbook Club: Something different. [818.8] Cookbook Club: It's always nice to see something a bit different, see some experiments happening. [822.8] Cookbook Club: People... [823.8] Cookbook Club: Because otherwise the hobby doesn't grow if people don't take risks. [826.8] Cookbook Club: So, we'll see. [829.8] Tony: Right, back to beer. [830.8] Cookbook Club: Beer. [831.8] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [832.8] Cookbook Club: Do you have any beer? [833.8] Cookbook Club: No. [834.8] Tony: Beerless house. [835.8] Tony: It is beerless. [836.8] Tony: Outrage. [838.8] Tony: I know. [839.8] Tony: I will ride to my local beer shop tomorrow and get three. [846.8] Tony: And I'm thinking about getting a pastry stout. [850.8] Cookbook Club: They're quite yummy. [851.8] Cookbook Club: They're probably bad for you because it's basically like a syrup in a can. [855.8] Tony: Well, I've had one good and one bad. [857.8] Tony: I've had one co-op one my neighbour gave me. [860.8] Tony: It was a coffee and chocolate. [861.8] Tony: Look, it was absolutely lovely. [864.8] Cookbook Club: I haven't had coffee in a while. [866.8] Tony: And then I had one in a can and it was absolutely disgusting. [871.8] Tony: I didn't like it at all. [873.8] Tony: What they released... [876.8] Cookbook Club: Yeah, so I was just going to show Rotor Flight. [879.8] Cookbook Club: Yeah, so they just released the official version to May 15th. [884.8] Cookbook Club: So I guess that contributed to the outpouring of hardware here, [891.8] Cookbook Club: we're seeing from RadioMaster. [894.8] Cookbook Club: This was it. [895.8] Cookbook Club: The M7. [896.8] Cookbook Club: That was... [897.8] Cookbook Club: OMP. [898.8] Cookbook Club: That was it. [899.8] Cookbook Club: OMP hobby. [900.8] Cookbook Club: Yeah, that was the brand that was quite keen on it. [903.8] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [904.8] Cookbook Club: They just scare the hell out of me. [906.8] Cookbook Club: Well, hellies. [907.8] Cookbook Club: Well, yeah, they are pretty deadly. [909.8] Cookbook Club: You can hit yourself with a five inch and you might walk away from that. [913.8] Cookbook Club: But, you know, you lose fingers pretty quickly on hellies, don't you? [917.8] Tony: Yeah. [918.8] Tony: It's a bit scary. [919.8] Tony: It's scary. [920.8] Tony: Well, I've had a cut to the face, so... [922.8] Cookbook Club: Yeah, if you'd had a hellie to the face, [924.8] Cookbook Club: your head may have been slightly too far away from your body to the plane power. [929.8] Tony: Yeah, sold that. [934.18] Cookbook Club: Yeah, absolutely sold that. [937.18] Cookbook Club: But yeah, they've laid out a whole bunch of design requirements [940.18] Cookbook Club: and reference designs out of... [944.18] Cookbook Club: It's looking very serious, which is nice. [947.18] Cookbook Club: Well, congrats to them. [949.18] Cookbook Club: Good luck. [951.18] Cookbook Club: Keep your fingers... [952.18] Tony: Last time, Jake, come on and talk about it. [954.18] Tony: I wonder if he... [955.18] Cookbook Club: I think I did pester him last time and asked if he'd experimented, [959.18] Cookbook Club: but he was flying his stuff stock, I think, [961.18] Cookbook Club: and just enjoying the flying without too much noodling around. [966.18] Cookbook Club: I think with hellies, you can just fly them stock, [968.18] Cookbook Club: whereas a lot of quad stuff, [970.18] Cookbook Club: you've really got to know how this stuff works [972.18] Cookbook Club: because you just get stranded otherwise. [975.18] Cookbook Club: A lot of hellie users, they're not changing anything. [978.18] Cookbook Club: I might be getting this driver out replacing some hardware, [981.18] Cookbook Club: but they're not touching the software, are they? [984.18] Tony: No. [985.18] Tony: Well, you can buy all that Nazgol... [987.18] Tony: Is it Nazgol drones now? [989.18] Tony: They're already done, aren't they? [991.18] Tony: Yeah. [992.18] Cookbook Club: LED strips down the side. [994.18] Cookbook Club: How do you feel about that with a whole plastic body and LED strips? [1000.18] Tony: Pass. [1002.18] Cookbook Club: Is that like seeing a fiesta drive past with some lights underneath [1007.18] Cookbook Club: and you're a bit like, hmm... [1009.18] Tony: Bring back the 90s. [1011.18] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [1012.18] Cookbook Club: A guy gets out, he's got curtains. [1017.18] Tony: Curtains gone. [1018.18] Tony: God, are you going back now? [1020.18] Tony: Yeah. [1021.18] Tony: I'm just literally booking my half-a-century-old birthday party, [1028.18] Tony: and I'm just looking at... [1030.18] Tony: I can't see lights, Alice. [1032.18] Tony: And I'm literally just looking at all the 90s dance tunes. [1037.18] Tony: I was playing some while in the shower and going, [1040.18] Tony: yeah, I've got to have this one. [1042.18] Cookbook Club: It's L2 on a ragged hip. [1044.18] Tony: Yeah, if that's one of them. [1046.18] Tony: Yeah, all that sort of stuff. [1048.18] Tony: So I've got to go through what I like and send a big playlist. [1055.18] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [1056.18] Cookbook Club: You've got to lock that playlist down, [1058.18] Cookbook Club: otherwise that DJ is going to be up there, [1060.18] Cookbook Club: like playing the Venga Boys again and again, [1062.18] Cookbook Club: until you've got to murder yourself. [1064.18] Tony: I'll murder him. [1070.54] Tony: You haven't got many people in the chat tonight, have you? [1073.54] Cookbook Club: Well, we started late, and unfortunately our regular is out. [1077.54] Cookbook Club: We also don't have a specific topic. [1079.54] Cookbook Club: It has not just been a quiet news week. [1081.54] Cookbook Club: I think it's been a quiet news year. [1084.54] Cookbook Club: There ain't a lot happening. [1086.54] Cookbook Club: Do you zero put out a monitor, big work, a monitor? [1090.54] Tony: Seeing us or who did a watch? [1097.02] Tony: I can't remember his name. [1099.02] Tony: He's been on the show about the time. [1102.02] Tony: I watched him do it anyway. [1103.02] Tony: Oh my God, what's his name? [1108.02] Tony: He's got a pen tattoo. [1111.02] Tony: Oh. [1112.02] Cookbook Club: Not painless. [1115.02] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [1117.02] Cookbook Club: Botgrinder. [1118.02] Tony: I even bought his goddamn motors. [1122.02] Cookbook Club: I bought his t-shirt and the print wash stuff. [1124.02] Cookbook Club: I was quite sad about that. [1126.02] Cookbook Club: No, man. [1127.02] Cookbook Club: The one with the black metal kind of botgrinder logo. [1132.02] Cookbook Club: It's a lovely soft bit of cotton, [1134.02] Cookbook Club: but the print didn't appear, unfortunately. [1138.02] Tony: I actually need to buy some t-shirts. [1140.02] Tony: I need some for the summer. [1142.02] Tony: I might have to look at buying into some different... [1145.02] Tony: Do we still sell LDO t-shirts? [1148.02] Tony: Yeah, yeah. [1149.02] Cookbook Club: There's a teespring shop that's on the main site. [1151.02] Cookbook Club: Go grab one. [1153.02] Cookbook Club: All right, I'll have a look. [1154.02] Tony: I'm going to have to buy a new one. [1156.02] Tony: Not outgrowing the other one. [1158.02] Tony: I think it's too much beer. [1161.02] Cookbook Club: It's because you're too ripped, Tony. [1163.02] Tony: That's what it is. [1165.02] Tony: That's what I keep telling myself [1167.02] Tony: when I suck my belly in. [1169.02] Cookbook Club: Two hench around the shoulders. [1172.02] Cookbook Club: I need a new shirt. [1173.02] Cookbook Club: It's just happening. [1175.02] Cookbook Club: I've got to put my body on. [1177.02] Tony: Oh, God. [1179.02] Tony: It's already here, isn't it? [1181.02] Tony: It's so off. [1182.02] Tony: It's been a lovely week last week. [1184.02] Cookbook Club: Rain, sun, rain, sun, rain, sun. [1186.02] Cookbook Club: You're like, yeah, it's lovely. [1187.02] Cookbook Club: I'll go out tomorrow. [1188.02] Cookbook Club: There's so much sun. [1189.02] Cookbook Club: And then just storm. [1191.02] Tony: Yeah, yesterday was absolutely gorgeous. [1193.02] Tony: And then today I've not worked. [1195.02] Tony: I've just literally sat around all day. [1199.02] Cookbook Club: I saw a toolkit. [1200.02] Cookbook Club: RC dropped a new charger. [1201.02] Cookbook Club: That was the only other thing. [1202.02] Cookbook Club: And they're like, ooh, a touchscreen charger. [1204.02] Cookbook Club: I'm like, wait, what year is it? [1206.02] Cookbook Club: Like, are we meant to be impressed by this? [1208.02] Cookbook Club: It's great. [1209.02] Cookbook Club: It's got touchscreen. [1210.02] Cookbook Club: So if anything, I'd rather have like clicky buttons [1214.42] Cookbook Club: so I know I've absolutely pressed that button. [1217.42] Cookbook Club: I know I've definitely set. [1219.42] Cookbook Club: But it's gone tick. [1221.42] Cookbook Club: And I've definitely set it to that voltage. [1223.42] Tony: And I haven't that simply left my fingerprints everywhere. [1227.42] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [1229.42] Cookbook Club: But I'm sure also that it's not new to have touchscreen. [1233.42] Cookbook Club: It'd really be brand new to have touchscreen on it. [1236.42] Cookbook Club: Yeah, I don't know. [1238.42] Cookbook Club: What do you want from a charger? [1239.42] Cookbook Club: You want no fire and maybe like something [1243.42] Cookbook Club: that like give you status update on your phone [1246.42] Cookbook Club: and be like, your batteries will be done in five minutes. [1249.42] Tony: Yeah, that's good. [1251.42] Tony: I've had that before. [1252.42] Tony: I don't know what charger it was that I had that. [1255.42] Tony: But I definitely used it. [1256.42] Tony: But I think you had to plug it in. [1258.42] Tony: And it was another plug-in thing. [1260.42] Tony: But having it built in would be good. [1263.42] Tony: Plus, I like that roller. [1265.42] Tony: ISTD is it when you click it and roll? [1268.42] Tony: That's nice. [1270.42] Tony: I like that. [1272.42] Cookbook Club: ISTT. [1274.42] Tony: Is that the one? ISTT? [1276.42] Cookbook Club: Yeah, not an STD. [1279.42] Cookbook Club: That's not their branding. [1281.42] Cookbook Club: Like, it's the Apple STD, ISTD. [1285.42] Tony: You don't like that? [1287.42] Cookbook Club: No. [1289.42] Tony: That's a bad charger. [1291.42] Cookbook Club: Did you go to the Apple Summer Party? [1293.42] Cookbook Club: Yeah, I have the ISTD. [1299.42] Tony: It was a good time, though. [1301.42] Tony: Yeah. [1303.42] Tony: No. [1304.42] Tony: Yeah, I do like the scroll wheel and the clickiness of that. [1308.42] UNKNOWN: It's nice. [1309.42] Cookbook Club: Yeah, it does help. [1311.42] Cookbook Club: Just something that doesn't take up too much space. [1314.42] Cookbook Club: I'm quite a fan of stuff that have the AC power supply built in. [1317.42] Cookbook Club: Because, let's face it, most of my charging is done at home. [1320.42] Cookbook Club: Like, I charge and then I go out. [1322.42] Cookbook Club: So I quite like to have AC built in. [1326.42] Stephen: People talk about safety and they're like, [1328.42] Cookbook Club: oh, I'm really safe, really capable, really careful. [1331.42] Cookbook Club: And then I'm like, well, so what? [1333.42] Cookbook Club: You're running it off. [1334.42] Cookbook Club: Oh, yeah, I've got this DC power supply and you look at it. [1337.42] Cookbook Club: And it's like a server, a computer server power supply [1340.42] Cookbook Club: that they've just covered with solder. [1343.42] Cookbook Club: You're like, what? [1345.42] Cookbook Club: Yeah, yeah, it can do like 300 amps. [1348.42] Cookbook Club: It's amazing. [1349.42] Cookbook Club: I'm like, but there's no safety casing on it. [1352.42] Cookbook Club: It's just sitting on the floor and it's all hand soldered. [1356.42] Tony: When I'm charging doors, I do it in a wok or a frame hand. [1362.42] Tony: Yeah. [1363.42] Cookbook Club: Just in case. [1364.42] Tony: So I can just run out the door like that. [1367.42] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [1370.42] Cookbook Club: Oh, I always wonder, like, could I open the window [1374.42] Cookbook Club: or maybe not even open the window. [1376.42] Cookbook Club: Just smash the window. [1381.42] Tony: Are you in a flat or a house? [1383.42] Tony: I'm up on the first floor. [1385.42] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [1386.42] Tony: Yeah, you need to leave a window open all the time. [1389.42] Tony: Yeah. [1390.42] Cookbook Club: Yeah, it wouldn't hurt. [1393.77] Tony: Do you keep your batteries in your house? [1395.77] Tony: I do. [1396.77] Cookbook Club: I do. [1397.77] Cookbook Club: I've cut the seals out of a few ammo cans for storage [1400.77] Cookbook Club: and I've got a bat safe charging. [1403.77] Tony: Oh, that's good. [1405.77] Tony: Good. [1406.77] Cookbook Club: I think I was going to take my little quad out to the park, [1410.77] Cookbook Club: but this being England, [1412.77] Cookbook Club: like the first chance that the sun goes through... [1415.77] Cookbook Club: Well, the first time the sun goes through the clouds, [1418.77] Cookbook Club: any piece of grass is covered by people taking their t-shirts off [1423.77] Cookbook Club: desperately trying to get skin cancer before the clouds come in again. [1427.77] Cookbook Club: And so every five yards there was just another group of people lying down. [1432.77] Cookbook Club: So I'm like, yeah, I'll fly anywhere. [1434.77] Cookbook Club: Yeah, this is ludicrous. [1436.77] Frank: Rubbish, isn't it? [1438.77] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [1439.77] Cookbook Club: Boo. [1441.77] Cookbook Club: The skaters are not too against me kind of flying around behind them, [1445.77] Cookbook Club: keeping a safe distance. [1447.77] Cookbook Club: So I do fly around near the skate park. [1450.77] Cookbook Club: That's all right. [1452.77] Tony: I've done that once where I live, [1454.77] Tony: flew around the skaters. [1456.77] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [1457.77] Cookbook Club: I don't fly around them. [1458.77] Cookbook Club: I just fly near that bit because they're usually like... [1461.77] Cookbook Club: They've normally got music blaring. [1464.77] Cookbook Club: And so between the music blaring and them having a good fat smoke, [1470.77] Cookbook Club: people don't like cluster around the area. [1473.77] Cookbook Club: So I just stand and listen to them blast out some old sublime or something. [1479.77] Cookbook Club: And yeah, flying the drones. [1483.77] Tony: Dare we talk about it? [1485.77] Tony: Can we talk about... [1487.77] Tony: Have you seen the FPV drones in... [1491.77] Tony: Oh, there he is. [1492.77] Tony: I won't say it. [1493.77] Cookbook Club: The FPV drones in where? [1495.77] Cookbook Club: In Gatwick, was it Tony? [1497.77] Cookbook Club: No. [1498.77] Cookbook Club: No. [1499.77] Cookbook Club: No. [1500.77] Tony: Hello, Jack. [1502.77] Jack: Hello, how are you doing? [1504.77] Tony: Glad you can finally join your podcast. [1510.77] Jack: I know. [1511.77] Jack: I do apologize. [1512.77] Jack: I am so not organised. [1519.77] Jack: How was moving? [1523.77] Jack: Like super stressful. [1526.77] Jack: It's just... [1528.77] Jack: Yeah, really difficult. [1532.08] Jack: And I just don't feel like I've got enough time in the day to, like, sort anything. [1540.08] Cookbook Club: Do you have the same things that you started out with? [1543.08] Cookbook Club: Did everything make the trip and not get smooshed? [1546.08] Jack: I don't fully know. [1549.08] Jack: I'd be lying if I said... [1552.08] Tony: Oh, it was totally unpacked. [1554.08] Jack: Yeah. [1556.08] Jack: Give it another five or ten years. [1558.08] Cookbook Club: Get them in the end. [1560.08] Jack: Yeah, I mean... [1563.08] Jack: I mean, I never fully got... [1566.08] Jack: Yeah, I never fully recovered. [1569.08] Jack: I haven't got the desk anymore. [1572.08] Jack: The desk did not survive. [1574.08] Jack: It got cut up. [1577.08] Tony: Oh, no. [1578.08] Jack: So I haven't got... [1579.08] Jack: You didn't have enough tape. [1582.36] Tony: We'll get another one now, Jack. [1584.36] Jack: Yeah, I've got to somehow build another desk. [1589.36] Jack: Was it a full desk or was it just a bit of ply? I can't remember. [1593.36] Jack: It was an old conference table that got sawn up. [1599.36] Jack: And it was assembled. [1603.36] Jack: And I had my drawers either side. [1606.36] Jack: So Frank did ask me... [1609.36] Jack: I went and helped Frank the other day and he asked me, like, [1614.36] Jack: what's the first thing you're going to build, you know, [1617.36] Jack: all set up and stuff. [1619.36] Jack: And I was talking about the old tricopter, [1622.36] Jack: because I've been enjoying Curry. [1627.36] Jack: He's got some tricoptera action coming up, [1630.36] Jack: and he's like upgraded some of the 450 size quads. [1634.36] Jack: And I think... [1636.36] Jack: I think it's now been enough time that, like, [1639.36] Jack: those sorts of things are quite a spectacle. [1643.36] Cookbook Club: Is that growing in the 450s? [1646.36] Jack: Yeah. [1647.36] Cookbook Club: It's got, like, the latest firmware, [1649.36] Cookbook Club: freaking RPM filtering, ELRS and all that crap. [1652.36] Cookbook Club: Still got analog VTXs on them, [1654.36] Cookbook Club: but thrashing the crap out of another 450, [1657.36] Cookbook Club: which is quite fun to see. [1659.36] Jack: Yeah. [1661.36] Jack: But, yeah, everything kind of shambles. [1664.36] Jack: It's like I haven't found everything. [1668.36] Jack: It's weird being back. [1670.36] Jack: I still get... [1673.36] Jack: It was obviously, like, really traumatic having to leave here, [1678.36] Jack: and I sometimes, like, wander around, [1681.36] Jack: and I find myself getting upset, [1684.36] Jack: because I was obviously really upset to leave. [1688.36] Jack: But I'm back now. [1690.36] Jack: I don't feel very secure. [1693.36] Jack: He tried winging in the corners. [1696.36] Jack: Yeah, I know. It feels like that. [1700.36] Tony: Has anything changed in there? [1702.36] Tony: Did they change anything? [1705.36] Jack: No. [1706.36] Jack: Like, it's still, like, very, you know, very similar. [1713.36] Jack: Same layout. [1714.36] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [1715.36] Jack: Yeah. [1716.36] Jack: You know, and I've kind of, like, brought, [1719.36] Jack: you know, I've brought most of my stuff with me. [1721.36] Jack: I've kind of blacked it out, [1724.36] Jack: because we were recording and stuff. [1729.36] Jack: But, yeah, I mean, the desk... [1731.36] Jack: I mean, the desk is a complete cluster... [1733.36] Jack: You know, I would have been here much sooner [1736.36] Jack: if I'd, like, remembered to plug in, like, the webcam and stuff. [1741.36] Jack: And it's just, like, you go and join this call, [1744.36] Jack: and, you know, OBS is trying to be the webcam, [1747.36] Jack: and you're like... [1749.36] Jack: Nope. [1750.36] Jack: Yeah. [1751.36] Jack: Yeah. [1752.36] Jack: And half the LEDs on my computer aren't lighting up. [1759.36] Jack: The audio interface is on the top of the PC. [1765.36] Tony: You can't just expect to be in there, [1767.36] Tony: a way you can everything be perfect. [1770.36] Tony: It takes years to make a house. [1773.36] Jack: Yeah. [1774.36] Tony: I know you left there, and then you've gone back, [1776.36] Tony: but you've chopped things up, probably throwing stuff away. [1779.36] Cookbook Club: Think of it as an opportunity to make a few improvements. [1783.36] Cookbook Club: So, before you unpack, you know, you could just, you know, [1786.36] Cookbook Club: phrase it and be like, right, maybe I'm going to scrounge up [1791.99] Cookbook Club: some extra bits and pieces, you know, [1793.99] Cookbook Club: maybe end up with something that makes a better desk [1796.99] Cookbook Club: than you had before, maybe end up with more storage space. [1800.99] Cookbook Club: Who knows? [1801.99] Jack: Yeah. [1802.99] Jack: I mean, the thing is, with that desk that I was working on [1806.99] Jack: and building Tony's, you know, Tony's X-Class and stuff, [1814.99] Jack: that was the best version of that desk. [1820.99] Jack: It had multiple iterations to the point where, you know, [1824.99] Jack: I had like this, I basically bought half a hexagon table [1829.99] Jack: and it was tiny. [1832.99] Jack: If anyone owned the complete guide to drones volume one, [1837.99] Jack: there's a picture of my desk. [1840.99] Jack: It's tiny. [1841.99] Tony: It's in there, isn't it? [1843.99] Jack: I didn't have a PC. [1845.99] Jack: It was a laptop, and that used to like wedge between the wall [1850.99] Jack: and the window seal and the desk, [1852.99] Jack: and it has like a bottle of tango on there. [1855.99] Jack: And that's how it was. [1857.99] Jack: It was just a soldering iron. [1859.99] Jack: You know, there was no power supply. [1861.99] Jack: That was a Frank improvement. [1863.99] Jack: Frank bought me my first power supply. [1868.99] Jack: So, yeah, it kind of, in a weird way, I've been kind of like... [1872.99] Tony: I grew with you. [1874.99] Jack: Yeah, you know, it was like a new phase. [1878.99] Tony: This can be a rebirth of you and the desk. [1883.99] Cookbook Club: Do you have a bay window? [1885.99] Cookbook Club: Is it in a bay? [1886.99] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [1887.99] Cookbook Club: Like a hexagonal base. [1888.99] Cookbook Club: So that's where you want the hexagonal table. [1891.99] Jack: Well, it'd be like a pair... [1894.99] Jack: What is it? [1895.99] Jack: Trapeze. [1897.99] Cookbook Club: So you're going to go for like a command console [1899.99] Cookbook Club: where it actually like reaches around you either side. [1901.99] Cookbook Club: No. [1902.99] Cookbook Club: It's at the middle and you can like spin around [1904.99] Cookbook Club: and the desk carries on that side. [1906.99] Tony: So that would actually. [1907.99] Jack: Yeah. [1908.99] Jack: It's tempting, but yeah, there needs to be [1911.99] Jack: like other rooms for activities. [1914.99] Jack: I probably won't make it as deep as I did last time. [1917.99] Cookbook Club: So much space for activities. [1919.99] Jack: Yeah. [1920.99] Jack: I mean, that's all that everyone kept saying [1923.99] Jack: once I'd moved half the crap out of there [1927.99] Jack: was like how much bigger the place was. [1930.99] Jack: I'd like hoarded myself in. [1934.99] Jack: There was an element of like extreme hoarders. [1938.99] Tony: Have you thrown anything away? [1940.99] Tony: I've thrown tons of stuff. [1943.99] Jack: Who did you move? [1944.99] Tony: I did. [1945.99] Tony: I was just like, some things I regret, [1948.99] Tony: some things I don't care. [1949.99] Cookbook Club: The amount of shit I've put up in the loft, [1952.99] Cookbook Club: I've just been like, yeah, I might sell that thing. [1954.99] Cookbook Club: So I'll keep the box for it. [1956.99] Cookbook Club: Oh, I've got all my boxes for everything. [1960.99] Cookbook Club: I've got that private of my dad [1962.99] Cookbook Club: and I think it's a terrible habit because [1964.99] Cookbook Club: it is. [1965.99] Cookbook Club: I sell practically nothing. [1967.99] Cookbook Club: I've just got boxes for everything stuffed into the loft. [1970.99] Jack: It does. [1971.99] Jack: I'm the same. [1973.99] Jack: I keep like, you know, it is handy [1976.99] Jack: because like, you know, I like flip a certain thing [1979.99] Jack: on eBay like graphics card and that. [1981.99] Jack: And it's quite, I wonder if it does improve [1985.99] Jack: the resale value, but part of me singing [1988.99] Jack: to what degree does it. [1990.99] Jack: I mean, it makes it easier to pack, you know, [1993.99] Jack: because you've got this like perfectly cut [1996.99] Jack: wedge of foam, but [1998.99] Cookbook Club: for really high value items, like specific [2001.99] Cookbook Club: graphics cards and pieces of electronics [2003.99] Cookbook Club: that fit precisely in that box, maybe. [2005.99] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [2006.99] Cookbook Club: If I was only doing that, [2009.99] Cookbook Club: I'd be laughing, you know. [2012.99] Frank: This episode was recorded in front of a live [2014.99] Frank: online audience, downloaded and edited [2016.99] Frank: to make sense when it played audio only, [2018.99] Frank: censored to please the iTunes people, [2020.99] Frank: hosted on the internet, [2021.99] Frank: forwarded through to your podcast provider, [2023.99] Frank: downloaded, playing on your device [2025.99] Frank: and is now playing in your ears. [2027.99] Frank: All thanks to our Patreons. [2029.99] Frank: Consider joining them and you'll also get [2031.99] Frank: other online benefits. [2032.99] Frank: Find out more at patreon.com [2035.99] Frank: forward slash let's drone out. [2037.99] Tony: So, we've got to find you a desk then. [2040.99] Jack: Yeah, I need a big enough bit of work to build. [2043.99] Tony: Oh, you've got your tricopter. [2045.99] Jack: Yeah. [2046.99] Tony: So, you're first being his desk and then [2048.99] Tony: you can get on with, [2049.99] Tony: what are you going to do with that? [2050.99] Tony: There's not much improvement you can do on that. [2052.99] Jack: Well, there's a Kukute because that's a [2055.99] Jack: that's a F1 board. [2059.99] Jack: This is an F3 board. [2061.99] Jack: Stephen's going to look at me like [2063.99] Jack: that's already out of date, I know. [2065.99] Tony: It will make it fly better though. [2067.99] Cookbook Club: Jack, it was out of date before I started [2069.99] Cookbook Club: the show. [2070.99] Cookbook Club: It's not already out of date. [2072.99] Cookbook Club: It's been out of date for the last decade, mate. [2075.99] Cookbook Club: I know. [2076.99] Cookbook Club: Well, actually no, that's unfair. [2078.99] Cookbook Club: If you went back to 2016, [2080.99] Cookbook Club: it was probably flyable in 2016. [2082.99] Cookbook Club: It's not a decade. [2084.99] Cookbook Club: It's like seven. [2086.99] Tony: Apparently, that looks big enough to [2087.99] Tony: rise at Pop'em. [2089.99] Jack: It feels like it. [2092.99] Tony: What is it? [2093.99] Cookbook Club: What have you got there? [2094.99] Cookbook Club: It's kind of in shadow. [2096.99] Cookbook Club: I can't see. [2098.99] Tony: It's a tricopter, isn't it? [2099.99] Tony: Those arms are so thin. [2101.99] Jack: Yeah, it's carbon fiber. [2104.99] Tony: It's a lovely model. [2105.99] Tony: I don't know if I've seen you fly that one. [2108.99] Jack: Yeah, see, RC Explorer. [2111.99] Jack: I can't because it's got a PWM receiver, [2116.99] Jack: so that means I'd have to... [2119.99] Cookbook Club: Can we address the fact that when people say RC, [2123.99] Cookbook Club: it sounds a lot like RC. [2126.99] Tony: We always say that. [2127.99] Cookbook Club: And the number of products that are RC. [2131.99] Tony: It's loads of RCs. [2132.99] Tony: It's gotten out of control, really. [2133.99] Cookbook Club: But, yeah, it's like City Walk in South Park. [2138.99] Tony: Yeah. [2139.99] Tony: I've never flown one. [2141.99] Tony: I've watched David fly with the old GoPros on and stuff [2146.99] Tony: before they had stabilization and it looked quite good. [2150.99] Tony: I remember they're quite swooshy, [2152.99] Tony: wasn't it? [2153.99] Tony: Is that the word? [2154.99] Jack: Yeah, they fly in between a plane and a quad, really. [2162.99] Jack: That's my only real way. [2165.99] Jack: And back in the day, I remember... [2172.99] Jack: I think I enjoyed having that mini tricopter [2178.99] Jack: because it was kind of like a novelty [2180.99] Jack: and it kind of made me feel like I kind of stood out a bit, [2186.99] Jack: you know, because I enjoyed building and overcoming that. [2190.99] Jack: But I'm definitely not going to sit here and be like, [2194.99] Jack: it flew amazing. [2196.99] Jack: It didn't. [2197.99] Jack: It flew like... [2198.99] Jack: It flew? [2199.99] Jack: It flew like a wobbly squirrel. [2204.99] Cookbook Club: But at the time, to build something and fly it, [2208.99] Cookbook Club: that was the impressive thing, right? [2210.99] Jack: Yeah. [2211.99] Jack: You know, and I remember the big achievement [2214.99] Jack: was flying and finishing a battery [2218.99] Jack: because most of the time you'd fly, crash [2223.99] Jack: and then have to change a prop [2226.99] Jack: and then that's if you're lucky [2228.99] Jack: and then most of the time you'd fly, crash [2231.99] Jack: and have to come over again to fix it. [2234.99] Jack: Or like Tony, dig the bloody receiver out, [2238.99] Jack: put a new antenna on it. [2242.99] Tony: I think the bigger one will fly nicer. [2245.99] Jack: Yeah. [2246.99] Tony: Especially if you use David's inputs. [2254.91] Jack: Well, that's the thing. [2256.91] Jack: I called David up and said, you know, what's good? [2259.91] Jack: And that's kind of why I went with a cuckoo toy [2262.91] Jack: because you're able to... [2266.91] Jack: You're able to put like de-roning on it, [2269.91] Jack: which was the last sort of stuff that had the... [2273.91] Jack: I know, Stephen, I fully... [2275.91] Jack: Yeah, you're right. [2276.91] Jack: Shake your head. [2278.91] Jack: Because that had the whole... [2279.91] Jack: That was like the last sort of development with tail tune. [2283.91] Jack: But the problem is, I phoned David [2285.91] Jack: and he was just saying the code so much better [2288.91] Jack: through filtering and stuff. [2290.91] Jack: And he's like, just put B-Fly on it [2293.91] Jack: and it will fly good. [2296.91] Cookbook Club: I haven't come across anyone fly a modern build on a tricopter. [2301.91] Cookbook Club: It'd be fascinating to see how that works. [2303.91] Cookbook Club: I think you might actually spark a lot of interest [2306.91] Cookbook Club: if you say, I am putting like an F7 or something [2310.91] Cookbook Club: or an F4 or something recent, [2312.91] Cookbook Club: I'm going to run the latest code, [2314.91] Cookbook Club: make my tricopter fly [2316.91] Cookbook Club: and B-Fly will be like, really? [2319.91] Cookbook Club: Oh, okay. [2321.91] Jack: Yeah. [2322.91] Jack: Let's do this. [2323.91] Jack: But yeah, it's getting to that point. [2326.91] Jack: That's the issue. [2329.91] Jack: It's... [2331.91] Jack: You know, because like I got that Kakuta from... [2336.91] Jack: Liddy, Trevor, [2340.91] Jack: Darnome, [2342.91] Jack: and I don't even know if he's like still with us. [2346.91] Jack: I should really email him. [2347.91] Jack: Hopefully he's still with us. [2349.91] Jack: The last time I checked it was, [2351.91] Jack: I don't even know if he was flying because his health... [2354.91] Tony: Yeah, I remember his health. [2356.91] Jack: It was like not great. [2359.91] Jack: Yeah, it is, you know, it would be good. [2362.91] Jack: But yeah, I've got to get to a point [2364.91] Jack: where I've moved in here, I've sorted everything out. [2368.91] Jack: And yeah, and then I need to pick a board, [2371.91] Jack: buy it, then solder it and then get everything running [2375.91] Jack: because like it or not, it's never going to fly as good as a quad [2379.91] Jack: because you're relying on a... [2382.91] Jack: Yes, it's a digital servo, but there's a mechanical... [2386.91] Jack: Sony, I'm responding so fast. [2388.91] Jack: Yeah. [2389.91] Jack: Thank you. [2390.91] Cookbook Club: It starts to ring as well, doesn't it? [2392.91] Cookbook Club: If you move it fast, you induce vibrations [2394.91] Cookbook Club: and the rest of the flame frame, [2395.91] Cookbook Club: the servo starts ringing the arm, right? [2397.91] Jack: Yeah. [2398.91] Jack: You know, and it's... [2401.91] Jack: You know, it's little things like I think I've got one battery for it, [2406.91] Jack: but like... [2408.91] Jack: Is it running? [2410.91] Jack: Like a 4S 3000. [2413.91] Jack: I was going to say it's a 4S. [2415.91] Jack: Oh, wow. [2416.91] Jack: Yeah. [2417.91] Jack: What are the motors on? [2419.91] Cookbook Club: I thought it was only like 2207s or something. [2421.91] Tony: I think they're swinging 7-inch, aren't they? [2424.91] Jack: Yeah, they're 8, I think. [2426.91] Jack: They're 8. [2427.91] Jack: And yeah, they're meant to be a 2208 motor, [2432.91] Jack: but I reduce... [2434.91] Cookbook Club: That's a lot of battery for 3208s, mate. [2437.91] Cookbook Club: Like, I'm running 2209s on my 7-inch [2440.91] Cookbook Club: and I fly that thing on like... [2443.91] Jack: Yeah, they're 2208 1500 kV. [2449.91] Cookbook Club: You should be fine with like really quite small... [2453.91] Cookbook Club: 1500 kV on a 7-inch prop, that doesn't... [2456.91] Cookbook Club: That's a 3G. [2458.91] Cookbook Club: And you're running probably 3S, right? [2460.91] Cookbook Club: You're not 6S on that. [2462.91] Jack: Yeah, I think it's meant to be 3, [2464.91] Jack: but we kind of pushed it at 4 [2466.91] Jack: because it was the... [2468.91] Jack: That's the thing, like you're... [2470.91] Cookbook Club: You could probably get away with a quad battery, [2472.91] Cookbook Club: like a kind of 1A, 1.5A, 3-4S on that. [2476.91] Tony: You need the white in the front of that, though. [2478.91] Tony: A bit more. [2480.91] Jack: Well, it's meant to have an old-school GoPro [2482.91] Jack: at the front of it. [2483.91] Jack: As well, yeah. [2485.91] Jack: You might just need to find the house brick. [2487.91] Jack: He's long, yeah. [2489.91] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [2490.91] Jack: So, yeah, the battery, like, [2493.91] Jack: it's slung back and it's meant to have a GoPro. [2496.91] Jack: When that was made, it was GoPro Hero 4. [2499.91] Jack: We're on... [2501.91] Jack: 11? [2502.91] Jack: 12? [2503.91] Cookbook Club: 11? [2504.91] Cookbook Club: Is it 12 now, I think? [2505.91] Cookbook Club: I think it's 12. [2506.91] Cookbook Club: I think it's 12. [2507.91] Jack: That's what I mean. [2508.91] Jack: And now GoPro's away in absolute metric. [2511.91] Jack: Yeah. [2514.91] Jack: So, you know... [2516.91] Tony: It'd be interesting to see it fly. [2518.91] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [2520.91] Cookbook Club: If you put a modern code path on it, [2523.91] Cookbook Club: I think the fact that it's imbalanced [2525.91] Cookbook Club: is going to be much less of a problem [2527.91] Cookbook Club: because you're relying a lot less on motor mixing [2530.91] Cookbook Club: and a lot more on you've got a gyro. [2533.91] Cookbook Club: It'll figure it out. [2535.91] Tony: How fast is the servo? [2536.91] Tony: Is it a fast servo in today's comparison to today, [2540.91] Tony: do you think? [2541.91] Tony: I don't know. [2542.91] Jack: Have a look on... [2544.91] Jack: Is it like a performance heli servo? [2547.91] Jack: It's a bluebird servo, I don't know. [2550.91] Jack: It's got cable ties all over it. [2553.91] Jack: I can't really... [2555.91] Jack: Well, you know, give it a whirl. [2557.91] Jack: Yeah. [2558.91] Jack: It's what David recommended at the time. [2562.91] Cookbook Club: Did David recommend like a config [2564.91] Cookbook Club: with a recent beta flight? [2566.91] Cookbook Club: Is there just a standard tricop to build out [2568.91] Cookbook Club: or are there tweaks that need to be done [2570.91] Cookbook Club: beyond the mixer for tricopters? [2572.91] Cookbook Club: Well, there isn't. [2573.91] Jack: You know, you're talking this all stopped years ago. [2579.91] Jack: That's the thing. [2580.91] Jack: Like, you're talking... [2581.91] Tony: I'm still saying no one really finds him anymore, do they? [2584.91] Tony: Yeah. [2585.91] Jack: Like... [2587.91] Jack: Which is a shame. [2588.91] Jack: Let's go on his website. [2591.91] Jack: Let's just say he stopped before Brexit. [2597.91] Tony: I know it was a while ago. [2599.91] Cookbook Club: It hasn't been tying rockets to knives for a while either. [2602.91] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [2603.91] Cookbook Club: The world's just going... [2604.91] Cookbook Club: Really? [2605.91] Cookbook Club: Well, get down to brass tacks. [2607.91] Cookbook Club: Like, where's the rocket knife? [2610.91] Tony: What happened? [2611.91] Tony: Yeah. [2612.91] Cookbook Club: I mean, here's... [2613.91] Tony: You had a baby, I think. [2614.91] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [2615.91] Cookbook Club: I guess you probably don't want babies [2616.91] Cookbook Club: around rocket knives. [2617.91] Cookbook Club: It's probably... [2618.91] Cookbook Club: It's probably some recommendation [2620.91] Cookbook Club: when you talk to the advisor who's like, [2623.91] Cookbook Club: have you prepared the house for the baby? [2624.91] Cookbook Club: You're like, yes, yes. [2625.91] Cookbook Club: There's the house and there's the car [2628.91] Cookbook Club: and there's the rocket knife. [2630.91] Tony: It's the rocket knife sled. [2633.91] Jack: The rocket knife stuff got all cut up for scrap. [2637.91] Jack: It doesn't exist. [2639.91] Jack: He released the design files December 2019. [2645.91] Jack: So that's just before COVID. [2648.91] Jack: Yeah. [2649.91] Jack: And the files aren't being hosted anymore. [2652.91] Jack: So nothing comes up. [2654.91] Jack: You get... [2655.91] Jack: You've got the frame. [2656.91] Jack: You've got the PCB files. [2659.91] Jack: Like, the tray. [2663.91] Jack: So they're not even. [2665.91] Jack: The last sales were November 2019. [2670.91] Jack: October 2019. [2673.91] Jack: Brexit. [2675.91] Jack: There was nothing. [2676.91] Jack: Is it? [2677.91] Jack: The clearance sale was 11th of September 2019. [2681.91] Jack: No. [2682.91] Jack: And he's gradually... [2683.91] Jack: And that's the thing as well is like, [2685.91] Jack: I could build this, [2687.91] Jack: sink a load of money into it, [2689.91] Jack: like with a new... [2693.91] Jack: Like, you know, none of the pictures load. [2697.51] Jack: I could sink a load of money into it, [2699.51] Jack: like buy all new motors, [2701.51] Jack: buy all new ESCs or whatever. [2706.51] Jack: And at the end of it, [2710.51] Jack: as soon as I snap an arm, [2712.51] Jack: that's it. [2713.51] Jack: I haven't got another arm. [2717.51] Cookbook Club: That kind of sucks. [2719.51] Cookbook Club: Could you get replacements of any of the large quads [2722.51] Cookbook Club: and maybe just retro find something that's similar? [2726.51] Cookbook Club: There is nothing. [2727.51] Tony: It could probably find carbon arms like that. [2730.51] Tony: Yeah. [2731.51] Jack: No. [2732.51] Jack: Why? [2733.51] Jack: Because they're completely square. [2735.51] Jack: They're not around too. [2737.51] Jack: He had them custom made. [2741.51] Cookbook Club: So it's not just a long carbon member then? [2744.51] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [2745.51] Cookbook Club: It's a tube. [2746.51] Cookbook Club: It's a square. [2749.51] Cookbook Club: I bet he just used something off the shelf to drill them. [2752.51] Jack: No. [2753.51] Jack: They're custom made. [2755.51] Jack: Really? [2756.51] Cookbook Club: That would be such a weird thing to do, [2758.51] Cookbook Club: to get your own carbon molding and everything. [2760.51] Cookbook Club: That would make it stupid expensive. [2761.51] Cookbook Club: Why would he? [2763.51] Cookbook Club: Because you can get like carbon spars that are... [2765.51] Cookbook Club: You can get tubes. [2766.51] Cookbook Club: You can get like square ducts. [2770.51] Cookbook Club: With specific diameters. [2772.51] Tony: Cubes now? [2773.51] Tony: Yeah. [2774.51] Tony: You can have a box cut with cube... [2776.51] Tony: Well, it wasn't carbon fiber. [2778.51] Jack: Well, that was the... [2781.51] Jack: How long are the arms then? [2784.94] Cookbook Club: Are they really massive arms? [2786.94] Cookbook Club: You said it has seven inches wide. [2787.94] Jack: No, they're 10 by 10 and they're quite long. [2791.94] Stephen: That's what I'm saying, isn't it? [2793.94] Tony: Yeah. [2795.94] Tony: They're one centimeter square. [2797.94] Tony: Maybe you shouldn't ever fly it. [2799.94] Cookbook Club: Yeah, just put it on the wall. [2801.94] Cookbook Club: Put it on the wall, mate. [2803.94] Cookbook Club: That's a piece of history. [2805.94] Cookbook Club: Like a blair or whatever. [2807.94] Jack: Yeah, they're 10 by 10. [2809.94] Jack: Because I remember him... [2812.94] Jack: I remember him... [2814.94] Jack: Look, none of the pictures load or anything. [2818.94] Cookbook Club: Have you thought that maybe now you are the museum for this [2823.94] Cookbook Club: and your role is to basically photograph and document it [2827.94] Cookbook Club: and get it on archive.org or something? [2830.94] Cookbook Club: This is what we call a tripod. [2832.94] Cookbook Club: And here's my GoPro footage from 2013 of me flying this [2837.94] Cookbook Club: and barely missing my own head and stuff like that. [2841.94] Jack: Yeah. [2842.94] Tony: It's lovely looking. [2843.94] Tony: I like it. [2844.94] Jack: Yeah. [2845.94] Jack: They were square off. [2847.94] Tony: And they used to fold down. [2848.94] Tony: Yeah. [2849.94] Jack: He had a nightmare trying to... [2852.94] Jack: Because they're hollow in the center. [2855.94] Cookbook Club: There you are. [2856.94] Cookbook Club: That's a good picture. [2858.94] Cookbook Club: I bet those are regular bits of carbon. [2861.94] Jack: They're not. [2862.94] Jack: He had to get bladders made and a special mold. [2867.94] Jack: I know because, you know, I'm friends with him. [2870.94] Jack: I could phone him up and ask him. [2872.94] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [2873.94] Cookbook Club: But if it's 10 by 10, you could probably just get some solid. [2876.94] Jack: You'd think someone would have made it. [2882.94] Cookbook Club: You'd probably just swap in some alley parts and call it good. [2886.94] Cookbook Club: Oh, there's the little one that you had. [2888.94] Jack: Yeah. [2889.94] Jack: There's no reason, you know. [2891.94] Jack: Yeah. [2892.94] Jack: The carbon fiber looks nice. [2893.94] Jack: It would just mean... [2895.94] Jack: And also, you could go up a size. [2898.94] Jack: You just drill the holes in the right place. [2901.94] Jack: And, you know, you could use 15 by 15 square aluminium tube, [2909.94] Jack: you know, but they're the... [2911.94] Jack: It wouldn't be an additional animal. [2913.94] Jack: Yeah. [2914.94] Tony: You need to stick it on the wall, Jack. [2916.94] Tony: Is there any videos of him flying in some nice places? [2920.94] Tony: I can't remember. [2921.94] Jack: Yeah. [2922.94] Jack: There is. [2923.94] Tony: Like, there's, you know... [2928.94] Tony: Cliff diving. [2931.94] Tony: So even with an old GoPro, that looks pretty steady. [2936.94] Jack: You can see just a faint little... [2940.94] Tony: There is a tiny one. [2941.94] Jack: That's what he's had. [2944.94] Cookbook Club: Dude. [2946.94] Cookbook Club: It looks nice for back then, though. [2949.94] Cookbook Club: What did you find? [2952.94] Cookbook Club: How many pieces do you want? [2955.94] Cookbook Club: Three. [2957.94] Cookbook Club: Eight quid each. [2959.94] Cookbook Club: Or if you buy three of them... [2961.94] Cookbook Club: £8.42 if you buy three. [2963.94] Cookbook Club: I just found them on eBay. [2965.94] Cookbook Club: Let me just zoom this in. [2967.94] Cookbook Club: I'm guessing someone bought a load of them before... [2970.94] Cookbook Club: No, mate, it looks like a common bit. [2973.94] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [2974.94] Cookbook Club: So I just started poking around. [2976.94] Cookbook Club: Hollow tube, RC model. [2978.94] Cookbook Club: There you are. [2979.94] Jack: Oh, no. [2980.94] Jack: They're... [2981.94] Jack: Right. [2982.94] Jack: So they're extruded. [2985.94] Jack: They're not woven. [2987.94] Jack: Mate, it's a tube. [2988.94] Jack: What do you want? [2989.94] Jack: No, no. [2990.94] Jack: You drill a hole, they split. [2993.94] Cookbook Club: Drill a hole very carefully. [2995.94] Jack: No, they... [2996.94] Jack: Drill a hole. [2998.94] Cookbook Club: Come on. [2999.94] Cookbook Club: You can make it work. [3001.94] Cookbook Club: No. [3002.94] Cookbook Club: No. [3003.94] Jack: They... [3004.94] Jack: Trust me. [3005.94] Tony: You'd have to if you smashed it into the ground. [3007.94] Tony: You would be saying... [3008.94] Tony: Zip tie something on there. [3010.94] Tony: Thanks, Steven, for finding that. [3012.94] Tony: Yeah. [3014.94] Jack: No, they... [3015.94] Tony: Are you going to do... [3016.94] Tony: Are you going to fly or are you going to museum it? [3018.94] Jack: Yeah. [3019.94] Jack: I don't know. [3020.94] Jack: I don't know what to do. [3021.94] Jack: I don't even know. [3022.94] Jack: Get a desk first. [3024.94] Jack: Yeah. [3025.94] Jack: But like I said, you could just use Ali as well. [3027.94] Cookbook Club: That's like trivial. [3029.94] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [3030.94] Cookbook Club: Just Ali in box section. [3031.94] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [3032.94] Jack: Yeah, those extruded 10 mil cheap things. [3037.94] Jack: Yeah. [3038.94] Jack: They were made in hobby king. [3040.94] Jack: They were like four quid. [3042.94] Jack: But yeah, they basically... [3044.94] Jack: They just split. [3045.94] Cookbook Club: Oh, wait. [3046.94] Cookbook Club: I found the woven ones. [3048.94] Cookbook Club: Come on. [3049.94] Jack: You need to give me a bit more time, mate. [3051.94] Jack: Give me a bit of time. [3053.94] Jack: You're live on a podcast? [3055.94] Cookbook Club: He's been. [3056.94] Cookbook Club: How's it going? [3057.94] Cookbook Club: All right. [3058.94] Cookbook Club: These are on Amazon. [3059.94] Cookbook Club: Here we are. [3060.94] Cookbook Club: One color. [3061.94] Cookbook Club: 33 quid. [3062.94] Cookbook Club: Or how long is it? [3063.94] Cookbook Club: 33 quid for half a meter. [3064.94] Cookbook Club: 33 quid for half a meter. [3065.94] Cookbook Club: I don't have any arms you get out of half a meter. [3066.94] Cookbook Club: That was on Amazon. [3067.94] Cookbook Club: That is literally the first hit that I found. [3068.94] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [3069.94] Cookbook Club: You get... [3070.94] Cookbook Club: I think you'll get two out of it. [3071.94] Cookbook Club: Or one. [3072.94] Cookbook Club: All right. [3073.94] Cookbook Club: Because they're like... [3074.94] Cookbook Club: They're 25 or 30. [3075.94] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [3076.94] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [3077.94] Jack: Yeah. [3078.94] Jack: I think you'll get two out of it. [3079.94] Jack: Or one. [3080.94] Jack: All right. [3081.94] Jack: Because they're like... [3083.94] Jack: They're 25 or 30 whatever long. [3087.94] Cookbook Club: All right. [3088.94] Cookbook Club: Let's go to AliExpress. [3090.94] Cookbook Club: Strike a deal. [3092.94] Cookbook Club: It's a deal. [3093.94] Cookbook Club: It's a steal. [3094.94] Tony: I used to be getting carbon, not Ali. [3097.94] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [3098.94] Cookbook Club: So those are not woven. [3100.94] Cookbook Club: But yeah. [3101.94] Cookbook Club: I mean, they exist is the point, right? [3103.94] Cookbook Club: If you want woven tubes. [3105.94] Cookbook Club: So let me just put this up again. [3109.94] Jack: I mean, that's quite a lot of money for an hour. [3112.94] Cookbook Club: But mate, it is nonetheless. [3115.94] Cookbook Club: But that's half a meter as well. [3116.94] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [3117.94] Cookbook Club: It's not an arm. [3118.94] Cookbook Club: I don't know how long the arms are. [3120.94] Cookbook Club: But that's half a meter of tubes. [3122.94] Jack: Do you want me to measure them? [3124.94] Jack: Yeah. [3125.94] Jack: They might not be. [3126.94] Jack: They might not be. [3127.94] Cookbook Club: And that is the first price that I found, to be fair. [3130.94] Cookbook Club: So that is... [3132.94] Cookbook Club: It's got 6% off. [3134.94] Cookbook Club: It's going to be no more expensive than that. [3136.94] Cookbook Club: Put it that way. [3138.94] Cookbook Club: 30 quid for... [3141.94] Cookbook Club: You're about to get at least two arms out of half a meter, aren't you? [3145.94] Cookbook Club: No. [3146.94] Jack: Really? [3147.94] Jack: They're not quite long. [3152.38] Cookbook Club: Anyway, it's not... [3154.38] Cookbook Club: Not the end of the world. [3155.38] Cookbook Club: It's not the end of the world because you can get woven. [3158.38] Cookbook Club: I look quite awesome. [3161.78] Cookbook Club: You can see the layup on the inside and everything. [3165.78] Jack: Right. [3166.78] Jack: So the arms are tuned in to let drone out. [3171.78] Jack: It measures things and steep ups and outs. [3173.78] Tony: I'm talking about bear tonight, mate. [3177.78] Tony: Stouts and bear. [3181.95] Jack: Ooh. [3182.95] Jack: They're 30... [3184.95] Jack: Yeah, they're 32 centimeters. [3188.95] Jack: Swine hunt. [3189.95] Cookbook Club: Just to make life difficult so you need one for each arm. [3194.42] Cookbook Club: My word. [3195.42] Cookbook Club: It's not making your life easy, isn't it? [3197.42] Cookbook Club: It's not making your life easy. [3199.42] Tony: You can make it a bit smaller. [3202.42] Jack: Yeah. [3203.42] Jack: So I have 90... [3204.42] Jack: That's £100, basically, for... [3207.42] Jack: Make it smaller. [3208.42] Jack: Johnny Banton. [3209.42] Jack: They're like... [3210.42] Jack: He bloody knows. [3211.42] Jack: He bloody knows. [3212.42] Jack: He blew up. [3213.42] Jack: He destroyed doctors. [3214.42] Jack: Johnny Banton shows up. [3215.42] Jack: Do you know what I mean? [3216.42] Jack: That's like 90 quid. [3217.42] Jack: Like, that's £100 for a set of arms. [3221.42] Jack: That's horrendous. [3223.42] Cookbook Club: Well, that's why no one ever crashed them. [3226.42] Tony: They're hard to... [3227.42] Tony: Well, I wouldn't say they're hard to crash, but... [3231.74] Cookbook Club: Well, hard to get off the ground, you mean? [3235.74] Tony: Sorry, I reckon James should do it. [3238.74] Tony: Do it or stick it on the wall. [3240.74] Jack: I mean, I think I'm going to need funding at this rate. [3243.74] Jack: I think Steven needs to... [3245.74] Jack: Yeah. [3246.74] Jack: I think Steven might have to provide another flight controller. [3250.74] Cookbook Club: No worries. [3252.74] Cookbook Club: Excuse me. [3253.74] Jack: And we'll have to, you know, put in an order [3259.74] Jack: with Armatan to get a bottom plate, [3264.74] Jack: cut the plates made up in carbon fibre. [3268.74] Jack: And then that way, if it does crash, [3270.74] Jack: it has half a chance of surviving. [3272.74] Jack: Oh, oh, oh. [3273.74] Cookbook Club: Here we are. [3275.74] Cookbook Club: I found a link for... [3278.74] Cookbook Club: That's not even... [3280.74] Cookbook Club: It thinks I'm in Israel. [3282.74] Cookbook Club: That's impressive. [3284.74] Cookbook Club: Good job. [3285.74] Cookbook Club: I'll express where... [3287.74] Cookbook Club: Don't so much worry about privacy, [3289.74] Cookbook Club: it's just massive amounts of confusion. [3291.74] Cookbook Club: It's 26 Israeli and some things. [3294.74] Cookbook Club: Oh, here we are. [3295.74] Cookbook Club: £5.82. [3297.74] Cookbook Club: Giddy. [3298.74] Cookbook Club: £5.82, 10x10 with an interior diameter of 8mm, [3305.74] Cookbook Club: which is pretty good. [3307.74] Cookbook Club: And that is a 500mm carbon fibre square tube. [3314.74] Tony: Okay, hang on. [3316.74] Tony: What's that, 15 quid instead? [3318.74] Cookbook Club: Me and Google were like that, I swear. [3323.74] Jack: The other thing is, I do have a spare servo. [3327.74] Jack: I do have spare servo part. [3330.74] Tony: Oh, well, you've got to fly it then. [3332.74] Jack: Yeah. [3333.74] Tony: And then stick it in the museum. [3335.74] Cookbook Club: £5.82. [3337.74] Cookbook Club: That's not too bad for an arm. [3339.74] Cookbook Club: Dang it. [3340.74] Cookbook Club: £3 shipping from China. [3344.74] Cookbook Club: Jobs are good. [3346.74] Jack: 10x10x8mm. [3348.74] Jack: Still get from China to here. [3350.74] Tony: Length 500mm. [3351.74] Cookbook Club: That's the outside diameter, inside diameter. [3355.74] Cookbook Club: Probably not. [3356.74] Cookbook Club: It just seems a bit strange. [3358.74] Cookbook Club: Yeah. [3360.74] Cookbook Club: And look, someone is actually using it [3363.74] Cookbook Club: for potentially a dry doctor. [3366.74] Cookbook Club: A drono. [3367.74] Cookbook Club: A drono indeed. [3368.74] Cookbook Club: Drono mate. [3370.74] Cookbook Club: I'm the drono you've got there. [3374.74] Tony: Well, you've got to do it then. [3376.74] Tony: You've got to fly it once. [3378.74] Tony: Yeah. [3379.74] Tony: Video it. [3380.74] Tony: Do some video and then hang it on the wall. [3383.74] Jack: I'm going to have to go off here, mate. [3386.74] Tony: Yeah, no. [3387.74] Tony: I'll phone mine after four hours of looking in the woods. [3392.74] Tony: Yeah. [3393.74] Jack: Yeah. [3394.74] Jack: What is the outcome of your transmitter? [3402.74] Jack: Have you got another one? [3404.74] Jack: Someone sending you one? [3406.74] Tony: Someone can send me one. [3408.74] Tony: I forgot to test it. [3411.74] Tony: But the guy who's one of our listeners said he'd send me his. [3419.74] Tony: So what I really need to do this weekend, [3422.74] Tony: because I completely forgot about it, is test mine again. [3425.74] Tony: So I'm going to get mine out and test it. [3427.74] Tony: Just turn it on and leave it on. [3429.74] Tony: See what happens. [3431.74] Jack: You really need to be hovering something or flying something. [3436.74] Tony: It's just got to drain the battery. [3438.74] Tony: You've just got to see if the battery drains fast or not. [3440.74] Tony: Well, yeah. [3441.74] Cookbook Club: I mean, you're a car or something, aren't you? [3443.74] Jack: Yeah. [3444.74] Jack: Yeah. [3445.74] Jack: It's all about the dynamic power and putting it under load for... [3451.74] Tony: Well, we're going to have the crossfire on. [3453.74] Tony: Crossfire. [3454.74] Jack: Yeah. [3455.74] Jack: But if it's on dynamic, it will just sit there at minimum output. [3460.74] Tony: I could get a fan, you know, a fan with a bit of string, [3463.74] Tony: turn that on and then when the fan does that, it can pull the sticks. [3467.74] Jack: Yeah, I know. [3468.74] Jack: Well, it's got to... [3471.74] Tony: I've got to test it, yeah. [3473.74] Tony: Yeah. [3474.74] Tony: Because he was nice enough to volunteer. [3477.74] Tony: What you want to do is point yourself... [3480.74] Jack: Point yourself a square field and just fly along the edge of it in a square pattern. [3487.74] Jack: And then when it goes down, you just walk that square pattern. [3492.74] Tony: Yeah, well, I think I've put a low voltage alarm on now [3498.74] Tony: because I think maybe when you updated it, it resettled that [3503.74] Tony: and I didn't get one off. [3504.74] Jack: Yeah, it doesn't know what kind of battery is in there. [3507.74] Tony: Yeah, so I'll put one of them on there. [3509.74] Tony: So I'm sure I'll hear it before it just turns off this time. [3513.74] Tony: Yeah. [3514.74] Tony: But yeah, I will definitely need to test it. [3518.74] Tony: I should have done that. [3519.74] Tony: I completely forgot. [3520.74] Tony: Bless that, don't I? [3523.74] Tony: I will actually message him later. [3526.74] Tony: That was one of our lads who we've met before. [3531.74] Tony: We've flown with him as well. [3533.74] Tony: At many of our drone festivals we used to go to. [3538.74] Tony: God, I'm actually going to one of them. [3540.74] Tony: I think it was six years ago today. [3543.74] Jack: Well, we're meant to be going to the Western Park, [3549.74] Jack: but you need to message about the dog. [3552.74] Jack: Because sooner or later, it's going to be May [3555.74] Jack: and then June's going to be... [3558.74] Jack: It is May. [3559.74] Jack: I'm honest. [3560.74] Jack: Oh, yeah. [3561.74] Jack: Well, yeah, the end of May, yeah. [3563.74] Jack: And then June. [3564.74] Jack: When is it? [3565.74] Jack: June the what? [3566.74] Jack: I don't know. [3567.74] Jack: June something. [3568.74] Jack: I don't know. [3569.74] Jack: I just look at Frank. [3572.74] Tony: I see him. [3573.74] Cookbook Club: He's got sweating. [3575.74] Tony: June, okay. [3577.74] Tony: I need to... [3579.74] Tony: Yeah, we'll have a look. [3583.46] Jack: Sort that out. [3584.46] Tony: Yes. [3585.46] Jack: Get it figured out. [3586.46] Tony: I'd like to go to there again. [3591.46] Tony: It's quite far away, far away, isn't it? [3594.46] Tony: When did we go last time? [3595.46] Tony: Was it eight years ago? [3597.46] Jack: I don't know, yeah. [3598.46] Tony: I think it was six years ago today that we were at... [3602.46] Tony: Where were we? [3603.46] Tony: My faceballs told me earlier. [3606.46] Jack: Don't forget, it's Kerry Kitten's birthday tomorrow. [3610.46] Tony: Oh, happy birthday. [3612.46] Jack: Happy birthday, Kerry. [3614.46] Jack: That's by dementia. [3616.46] Jack: I know. [3617.46] Jack: I literally can't remember. [3620.46] Jack: I think the last time we were there... [3622.46] Stephen: When did they last let us go out? [3625.46] Stephen: I don't know. [3626.46] Stephen: When did they... [3627.46] Stephen: That was six years ago today. [3629.46] Stephen: It was a year, I remember. [3631.46] Jack: He jests, but that's what it feels like. [3635.46] Jack: I'm sure many... [3637.46] Stephen: I think I wore shoes. [3639.46] Stephen: Well, did we? [3641.46] Jack: I know, yeah. [3643.46] Tony: What was I doing six years ago with a drone? [3647.46] Tony: Oh, that was for a news... [3649.46] Tony: That was for a magazine, that shot. [3653.46] Tony: That was version one of the... [3658.46] Tony: Of the X-Class, because look, it's got no tri-blades. [3661.46] Tony: It's got balance in tape on the... [3665.46] Tony: On the props. [3667.46] Jack: Oh, my God. [3669.46] Tony: Yeah. [3670.46] Tony: The good old days, Jack. [3672.46] Tony: They used to balance props. [3675.46] Jack: With, yeah, laser beams and tape. [3678.46] Jack: Stephen, you weren't there, man. [3683.35] Jack: I mean, you weren't there, was it? [3685.35] Cookbook Club: And nothing about this is making me wish I was. [3689.35] Jack: I know. [3690.35] Jack: Flying, bloody... [3692.35] Cookbook Club: Caught me out on a siree. [3695.35] Tony: Six years ago, the Mini Air Show, one of them was. [3698.35] Cookbook Club: If I wanted the camera view to look like that, I'd get another beer, guys. [3706.35] Jack: Yeah. [3707.35] Jack: Stop talking about these. [3708.35] Jack: Do you want to see us out? [3709.35] Jack: Thank our Patreons. [3711.35] Cookbook Club: Thank you to our wonderful Patreons, like and subscribe. [3714.35] Cookbook Club: We appreciate you to keep this show online [3717.35] Cookbook Club: and ensure that the editor can put up with a prodigious amount of waffle [3721.35] Cookbook Club: that he has to fill through every week. [3723.35] Cookbook Club: Thank you, oh so very, very much. [3727.35] Cookbook Club: Thank you. [3728.35] Stephen: Bye. [3729.35] Stephen: Bye. [3730.35] Stephen: Bye.
