[120.68] Tony: I think we're just getting dragged down and we're just getting loads of loads, drags.

[133.32] Tony: It was north earlier in the week because it was cold, but now it's a bit of both.

[146.8] Tony: Well the jet stream normally at this time of year, I haven't actually looked at what
[151.24] Tony: it's doing, but it's normally up above Scotland, so it gets out of the way.
[156.0] Tony: When we get a crappy wet and cold weather, it does this loop across England and just
[161.12] Tony: keeps dragging it down.
[162.12] Tony: So I'm presuming it is the jet stream doing this because this time of year, as I say,
[168.12] Tony: it's gone up above Scotland, but it's been crap since October, the weather has really.
[177.44] Frank: It's been crap since about 2022.
[180.16] Tony: Yeah, soon as Covid finished or whatever.
[184.32] Frank: I think since cold left, I think that was the last time we had like summer.
[189.4] Koel: Oh man, yeah, don't remind me, it has been too long since I've been to the UK.

[204.52] Tony: In and out, it was boiling up for three minutes and then it would cloud over for 30 minutes
[211.72] Tony: and then you'd go and put a jacket on and then it would come out again for another five
[217.24] Tony: minutes and then you're boiling and then it would cloud over and then you're freezing

[222.6] Tony: Basically like that and then in the evening it clears up and then it was all right.
[229.08] Frank: I saw you had your tech support on standby.
[235.76] Tony: Tech support was teching away because I didn't really have any success at all.

[248.04] Tony: Both X-Classes and had problems with both.

[255.92] Tony: Yeah, well done one and a half laps and then she fell out of the sky which I thought was
[264.04] Tony: a battery issue because I was punching the throttle and it was going towards the ground
[270.64] Tony: more and more and more so it was just like that and then of course when it landed it
[276.28] Tony: just so yeah it felt weird.
[281.3] Tony: It felt all right and then it done a little weird glitchy thing and Jack was like that's
[285.74] Tony: wind wind wind and I was like I don't know is that wind or not and then yeah I come around
[290.78] Tony: a corner booting it towards the finish line and it just but we like we said we tested
[297.18] Tony: the battery.
[298.18] Tony: The battery was 86% on both cell on all you know all the way through and the C rating
[304.78] Tony: and all that it was it was all fine so something else happened anyway Jack said he wanted to
[313.66] Tony: rebuild it because I was like at that point I was like I'm quitting I'm just going I'm
[318.54] Koel: going over can't be bothered well yeah that'd be super demotivating like you go all the
[323.14] Koel: way there you bring both your X-Class and they just in the bed yeah it sucks yeah that
[328.78] Tony: was the first one this is the old school Thor frame.
[334.34] Tony: Anyway Jack said I'm gonna rebuild it because I want to chase you with it or whatever so
[338.98] Tony: I was like all right well because I was literally just gonna hang it on the wall with its arm
[344.62] Tony: hanging off and just leave it forever because I mean I brought them down and they were dusty
[349.94] Tony: as anything when I first got there that was quite dusty.
[356.46] Tony: So yeah I was just like I'm not in the mood I don't you know this is rather really peed
[362.78] Tony: me off but then Jack just sat there and rebuilt it within about an hour.
[366.7] Koel: Is it flagging after or?
[369.38] Tony: So rebuilt Jack rebuilt it and then we got it going and it would arm and spin all four
[378.74] Tony: motors in arm and then put any other action in like throttle or anything didn't do a thing.
[388.3] Tony: So I have no idea what the hell was going on with it I still don't know I mean something's
[395.34] Tony: happened on the way around if it wasn't the battery the flight controller may have gave
[400.1] Tony: up I don't know but it's like I said it's still armed which is very weird and then the
[407.7] Tony: last time you flew it it flew yeah and it flew nice but that was probably a year ago
[414.74] Tony: so I know things go wrong if you don't use them weirdly.
[420.38] Koel: Is that a thing like if you don't fly your quad it's just gonna stop working properly.
[425.02] Tony: Well I know it happens to cars but they've got more moving parts but I thought it was
[431.54] Tony: weird so then I thought right let's go 12s and got the new quad out done half a lap with
[438.54] Tony: that and it done a forward flip on its own while I was going around the bend.

[445.74] Tony: Yeah but I was I was poodling around at this point I was like going so slow yeah it was
[454.86] Tony: ridiculous yeah and that done a flump for it and just I was just like right this is
[459.9] Tony: a sign that I'm only here for Saturday and then I'm going home.
[465.18] Tony: I did pack stuff to camp but yeah that was it really.

[475.42] Tony: No I don't think I would have got I think I would have placed third or fourth anyway
[479.9] Tony: the Clive who's in the chat Clive FPV he was so fast he's literally upped his game so
[489.22] Tony: he was fast and oh god I keep saying chimpanzee it's not it's orangutan orangutan FPV was
[500.74] Tony: I think he ended up doing 14 second laps so and I think very quick Clive which was about
[510.22] Tony: I think we worked out to be 65 mile an hour average speed round the track so it's pretty
[517.06] Tony: quick so I don't think I want to place first anyways second no maybe third I think might
[524.26] Tony: and right old fossil stuff got third so he he beat me so yeah it was nice to see everyone
[533.46] Tony: it was nice to spend the time with Jack and see other people haven't seen Stubsey and
[540.26] Tony: other lads David's and uh yeah yeah it was nice doing all that bit and seeing
[547.3] Tony: fossils and stuff but yeah after the disaster I was like right no more yeah that would probably
[555.3] Tony: build the excitement yeah yeah I was done I was like damn this hobby.
[562.66] Carl: I think the biggest problem for you Tone is you've like you said you haven't been flying
[574.1] Carl: you haven't really sort of like been out and tested everything and I think it's got to a
[579.46] Carl: point where you know your gears kind of like aged out and you don't know where you are with
[591.8] Carl: you know some of your models and there has been like too many changes instead of just making one
[600.92] Carl: change you know so you can't really sort of like narrow down what exactly the problem is
[609.88] Carl: you know you flew the like your long range and that fell out the sky but you think that's a
[617.72] Carl: battery problem but we don't know whether it's a transmitter problem and yeah it's all these like
[627.58] Carl: little gremlins that have got to be kind of bashed out of everything and chased out
[636.54] Tony: and yeah I don't know ever I can be bothered as well that's another that's another problem
[646.5] Carl: yeah it's almost being bothered it's almost like you got to fly a model
[654.58] Carl: like you know a normal like five inch model a good couple of times and go yep that works
[662.02] Carl: and then try and fix one of the x classes and figure out whether that works yeah and then go
[670.82] Tony: from there yeah because it still could be the tyrannis yeah because we I had problem fell out
[678.82] Tony: the sky looked from a quad for four hours that I'm pretty sure that was battery because it literally
[683.94] Tony: turned off Clive gave me another battery which seemed to be working but is it something else
[690.9] Tony: glitching with the tranis don't know why why would the arm and then not spin up any more than
[698.82] Frank: yeah my old tyrannis that I lost faith in
[705.78] Frank: like there was nothing particularly wrong with it when I left it but I was just like
[710.58] Frank: I'd had a couple of weird glitches that I couldn't put down from anything else and so that was why
[714.5] Frank: I bought the radio master and took the t the tyrannis to emf as a to run on a simulator so
[723.94] Frank: people could just have a go and it was wigging out as a on the simulator it was like just doing
[731.54] Frank: weird stuff and we had to just give up on that one and grab another radio someone else just sort of
[737.38] Frank: let their radios and transmit as the simulator radio yeah it's uh not comfortable when you can't
[746.82] Carl: trust you you get like that yeah I mean you know I think I think it is a testimony to like
[757.38] Carl: something that like Cole didn't quite understand was you know it was like
[765.94] Carl: trying to try and explain to you because it was like
[770.26] Carl: all all of Cole's gear was like known tested working your first two quads yeah and everything
[778.42] Carl: else was pretty much second hand pretty much brand new yeah you didn't have to worry and I think that
[787.7] Carl: me and Tony have definitely are so far deep into the hobby through years and have had
[799.38] Carl: have had like quite substantial times out when we kind of come back to it to like derust
[809.94] Carl: some of that stuff we've put away and we've kind of forgotten and it's a real sort of like
[817.7] Carl: I can't remember who it was I think it might be painless or someone they've got like a flag system
[823.3] Carl: where if there's something not quite right with a model they put a bit of red tape on it
[829.78] Carl: and then a post-it note that goes with that and it you know like there's a I think they've got
[836.74] Carl: like a book or something like a little notebook I write down what the problem is what they think
[841.86] Carl: it is a log I think that's what that would be sounds like yeah yeah like and um I just don't
[852.42] Carl: think you know it's almost like we have to go out with just one model and try and get
[860.82] Carl: like the basic thing to work I think the problem is with the x-class is is when you're
[868.58] Carl: a when you crash it costs you a lot of money because they're so big it's a lot of weight a
[875.14] Carl: lot of inertia and stuff inevitably gets damaged so then you're fixing you're almost making more
[881.7] Tony: work for yourself but yeah I just yeah sorry to interrupt but like there was people turning up
[890.18] Tony: with hd0 stuff and they were they could see the yes even though it was rope going down
[898.02] Tony: you know through the big gates they could see that as whereas I was putting me on fat sharks on from
[904.58] Tony: 1971 and going like this yeah I can see all right the sky's the bright bit right yeah
[914.34] Tony: like that an old camera that old big camera people were trying to piss out my camera I think
[918.74] Tony: I've walked over and said what's that thing you know yeah big camera on there so yeah I know what
[925.94] Carl: you mean coming back to yeah coming back to it I think you need to pick the most reliable like
[934.1] Carl: if you were like someone had a gun to your head and was like for the next six months you can only
[939.62] Carl: fly and maintain one model you're gonna have to pick like a small five inch that you're gonna
[947.94] Carl: just basically no matter what get working yeah whether that spend a bit of money or something
[954.42] Carl: and then just fly that till you know everything else works yeah and maybe spend some money
[962.82] Carl: heather forbid tony whether you need a new transmitter or new flight controller or
[970.74] Tony: that's it so yeah I'm worried about going out freestyling now because you know what I'm like
[975.94] Tony: I'll fly over the sea with no cares and now I'm like yeah don't know if I'll do that yeah just
[981.46] Carl: gonna have to be like boring empty field just fly in a circle you know get down old chic co
[988.9] Carl: and at least if it goes down you just got to walk walk in one circle yeah find it yeah and I
[996.18] Carl: think that's it and then once you've flown that a half a dozen times 12 times and not have any
[1003.3] Carl: problems or any weird stuff happen then go all right next model you'd like to fly yeah try and
[1011.3] Tony: be fair I've been wanting to do that for a while but it's been raining and cold for months
[1019.7] Tony: and now we're in summer it's 12 degrees and pissing down um I did a frank
[1027.46] Carl: I took photos I documented my trip well done because I wasn't busy flying with what
[1036.18] Carl: um your little camera I documented my time so I took some photos nice is this your point and
[1045.94] Carl: shoot jack no it's the iPhone oh beautiful yeah lovely this is a photo of Chris G
[1056.6] Tony: let's just point out these stickers on the can we zoom into the uh and you're
[1063.8] Carl: sleeping stickers together he had and there's a I live my life one life at the time pony sticker
[1074.36] Carl: but yeah there's HD zero goggles that meant that he was able to see um he's still got this
[1082.6] Carl: oh he's going to shout at me because I've totally forgotten what this
[1086.92] Carl: f27 called striker yeah and uh I mean it's literally more gaffer tape than plane now
[1100.68] Frank: I remember last year launching it and the glue never had quite set and it was a bit squishy and
[1107.4] Carl: slightly terrifying that's right but he still did very well um this is Chris G's battery charger
[1120.1] Carl: it is a eternity at yourself wow charger so it's a sky b6 then yeah but knockoff version
[1130.9] Carl: yeah that he's not even using proper banana plugs oh they're they're normal bullet connectors wedged
[1138.5] Carl: in there for the next dc I wrote on it love me Chris let me die on the next and it is all
[1150.9] Carl: rubbed off no I think it's let me die I think was what I wrote let me die um yeah so I mean
[1162.74] Carl: Chris G amazing pilot he won one of my favorite people but he has he's so hard on on his gear and
[1173.46] Carl: I don't know whether that's because he flies loads and like all my stuff's brand new because I just
[1180.18] Carl: don't do anything but he's a completely he's an animal he's just got one mode and that is
[1187.38] Carl: fly and destroy so uh that's an acro what I thought I would show the quad people this is how planes
[1200.58] Frank: yeah this bit keeps it in the sky this beat keeps it going fast this bit keeps it pointing
[1207.46] Koel: in the right direction yeah and this bit is the broken area this is this is how
[1214.74] Carl: here is an insight in Chris G's brain he's just got a plastic bin and that's where his props are
[1225.22] Carl: if he wants four of the same prop dig in you've got to go digging for it it's just hopefully
[1233.62] Carl: they're not bent well yeah um uh this is um wipe out um I can't remember like people got assigned

[1258.18] Carl: he like I don't know what's with quad people but some quad people cannot throw wings like he
[1265.78] Carl: launched it like a frisbee and it just smacked down the ground like a man I'll cover and I don't
[1272.58] Carl: know how that wing kept flying but I went over there and I just the guy was still stood there
[1279.54] Carl: and I was just like no offense and then I just turned to him I said look if you're gonna get
[1286.58] Carl: a wing launched I'm launching your wing so when you go up come find me a fair play you did every
[1292.74] Tony: time I watched a uh a crow open his flapjacks and filmed it
[1302.5] Tony: do you watch my instagram back on saturday you would have seen a crow sitting on his
[1307.86] Tony: carb on it then going down to the flapjacks whacking it with his head and then chucking it
[1311.7] Tony: on the floor and having off with a couple it's quite funny but uh yeah lovely guy refused to go
[1319.7] Carl: in the fossil tent I think we were slightly interrogating our slot but um this is um David
[1329.46] Carl: dick dastardly um and I'm clearly muttly he's one of the kent gops all I get is abuse insults
[1345.46] Carl: um I'm surprised he doesn't try to pin me down and shave me
[1350.42] Carl: it's a miracle if you see this man run um but he did lend us a glue gun
[1358.66] Carl: uh because tony still has trouble with antennas being attached to his receivers yeah they did fall
[1367.38] Frank: off that's chris g and the glue gun was the solution to this it was our only yeah okay
[1376.9] Tony: uh this handsome man he uh he had to remember two tracks the x-class track and then wing track
[1385.46] Carl: yeah that was something stubs it yep um somewhere in wales a gate was left open and this escaped
[1396.34] Carl: don't worry children it's nominal it may have fed you may be safe but uh he's got a lovely
[1404.1] Carl: wing there I think it's speck wing stubsy I don't know message me but still using what I believe to
[1411.86] Tony: be a tyrannis looks like it apparently um we just got word from brad uh bradley stewart that
[1418.58] Tony: the crow took um opacity as well he had a face um this is the inside of the fossil tent
[1431.94] Carl: uh I just kind of thought I'd send a upload you know share a photo of this this is the x-class
[1441.3] Tony: um that was clives the one in the uh the uh foreground yeah and tony's even bigger one
[1450.9] Carl: and uh it's a shame that everything that tony owns turns to dodge how hard I try to build it
[1460.58] Tony: and and you add this is forward stickers on it this is backwards this arm goes in this number two
[1472.18] Carl: to number two it was funny they were like do you want us to take the arms off it and I was like oh
[1479.06] Carl: no because then I'll have to remember and they totally went no no they've got numbers written
[1484.42] Carl: on them and I went oh yeah yeah take it all apart uh because I had to go launch a wing I was like oh
[1490.42] Carl: yeah dyslexic and they all laughed and then when I come back it was like some sort of like quad
[1496.34] Carl: ferries had come down and just dismantled everything for me that's that's kind of why I
[1502.9] Carl: got the record rebuild time in in an hour um this for insurance purposes has nothing to do with me
[1514.98] Carl: oh my god yep
[1520.02] Carl: wow that's a few
[1523.3] Frank: so how many is that that's like is that 100 I don't know but it's a radio master boxer
[1534.66] Carl: transmitter bag full yeah it is terrifying and they're what 18650s or something slightly bigger
[1545.19] Carl: 18650s you should be familiar with them frank oh they're those those 18650s
[1553.59] Carl: I thought it was slightly longer but never mind it doesn't matter this this was um fossil stuff um
[1562.39] Frank: um x-glass why does that ESC have something that doesn't quite line up with everything else
[1569.19] Koel: what's going on there was that a cap
[1573.99] Frank: oh is that what that is those are caps right on the side yeah yeah that that makes more sense
[1580.95] Tony: now I mean there's that birdie bit yeah that was uh apparently last time when he
[1588.47] Tony: went to wiles to fly a wet leaf got caught on that and shorted it out and caught fire
[1595.99] Tony: so it was still all right so you just went back together
[1601.11] Carl: yeah it is they are terrifying it is some real unbelievable current um we're looking at basically
[1609.91] Carl: tony's newest x-class but it has a carbon fiber body and uh the electronics are bigger
[1620.79] Carl: uh everything's a higher voltage and yeah you can just see scorch marks and humongous
[1633.83] Carl: but yeah some real current going through this stuff and it's genuinely terrible
[1640.47] Carl: the ESCs are screwed the wires are screwed yeah yeah they've been eye crimped terminals and then
[1648.63] Carl: they're screwed in he's given up with sort trying to solder them well to be fair to be fair um
[1655.59] Tony: I think at the end of the day Clive's desoldered his x-class that he was flying so hard and fast
[1663.35] Tony: that's why he's crashed um we're just desoldered itself desoldered there he is the man himself
[1670.79] Carl: is is Clive um these are the 1970s fat sharks oh no i'd say they're the 1980s like they're
[1682.95] Frank: that they look like they can do like fat shark channel eight so i think that's all
[1688.23] Carl: um we joe lent us a hacko soldering iron so i was living my best life with the biggest chisel
[1704.07] Carl: tip known to man it was amazing but i mean these are big batteries um and that is a dinner plate
[1712.63] Carl: and that dinner plate is morphed by the size of the props you took a barrier part while we were
[1717.51] Carl: there as well didn't we shut up don't know there was no such thing you took me drinking
[1727.35] Carl: no i have no idea what you're on about anyway moving on oh this is unfortunately Clive's
[1735.91] Tony: that's not all in one piece that's my that's my that's the damage after one and a half laps
[1743.43] Tony: the first one and a half laps and the only one and a half laps i did that weekend but yeah massive
[1749.27] Carl: shout out to everyone everyone was really generous everyone helped out everyone was
[1754.39] Carl: willing to give us parts and screws and cable ties and lend us things um the hobby the hobby
[1763.75] Carl: is very very much alive and the camaraderie of fellow pilots just to try and get something
[1772.55] Carl: in the air um here is Clive's uh thor x class and it's got one of my tiniest lily d's on the
[1782.47] Frank: back which i thought was very sweet so i took a photo of it it looks in one piece there mostly
[1789.67] Tony: it is i think that was day one day two it was in probably more than one piece
[1794.55] Carl: yeah so there you go there's my little slideshow
[1802.47] Frank: to prove that i touch grass what were the tracks like out on the grass because there's a lot of
[1809.67] Frank: grass there and the model field at pop them yeah pretty big pretty good no nice so i think tony
[1817.27] Tony: wouldn't know young people you get around very slowly but i've what did walk on as well
[1825.91] Tony: with um cocoa and that just to get some exercise and whatever but yeah it's good it was nice
[1831.83] Tony: watching the wings when um was it wipe out he was really quick but was he not consecutive
[1840.07] Tony: as consecutive as Chris j because he was fast real far yeah and the amount of laps he could do
[1850.55] Carl: do you know what i mean like most people would do like five but he would just keep going at one
[1857.59] Carl: point he'd done seven laps for the time people had done four he was very he was just like just no
[1867.59] Tony: let off whatsoever if you click in the chat i think um clives just put a fly fly through
[1873.67] Tony: i think it flew the track the x-calf track with uh a five inch so yeah and we did have some
[1882.71] Tony: spectators two little young lads come and had a look they were into their drones so
[1888.55] Tony: they were quite excited to see the big stuff flying around

[1992.79] Tony: flying five inch and going to comps so i think he's definitely improved a lot he was flying and
[2002.31] Tony: orangutan was absolutely all nailing it um yeah it was good to meet him and the other guys
[2011.08] Tony: but shame shame it was uh not great for me but this is what it is are you willing to
[2020.92] Tony: uh fly every drone i own for five times around the field 38 drones times in a field uh yeah

[2225.06] Frank: continue eating away at it until it's just really brittle and then you go out and fly in some
[2230.26] Frank: vibration then breaks that insulation and all of a sudden you don't bear wires touching up against

[2250.71] Carl: receivers for crossfire if i leave them for a very very long time they lose their bind

[2349.51] Frank: like i mean for escs they're like i think so they were like 60 quid like that seems like
[2359.27] Frank: maybe a way to make x-class stuff a bit cheaper please maybe use some heli stuff if we can get

[2383.35] Koel: the hero 11 mini off and i put on the hero 5 session because i was i couldn't be asked to
[2389.67] Koel: back up memory cards that would reuse that would work with the hero 11 mini and i had like a
[2395.03] Koel: a crappy old memory card with enough space for the hero 5 session um and my quad has been fine it's
[2402.63] Koel: been great um but then i went back and looked at the footage and i noticed like a bit of kind of
[2407.43] Koel: like in the gopro footage i noticed a little bit of this sound the real truth about your tune
[2415.19] Koel: well so i thought so i thought so then i was like is it my tune is it structural is it something
[2424.23] Koel: weird so so i i um i open up my quad check to see if the flight controller like sometimes
[2432.15] Koel: every now and again like the gummies that hold the flight controller might like come undone
[2437.03] Koel: i don't know i check them every now and again and those were fine everything was solid so i
[2443.43] Koel: put it back down and then i'm like going through tightening all the screws on the entire quad and
[2449.35] Koel: then i look at the bottom and uh so you know you guys if you've ever had an apex uh the second
[2456.87] Koel: from the back standoffs are like the half standoffs that hold the um the antenna or the
[2464.07] Koel: antenna mount yeah and then there's like the half uh uh you know standoffs on the bottom
[2472.71] Koel: well it turns out from whenever the hell the last time i ever did any work on my quad
[2478.63] Koel: i didn't put the screws back in on the bottom standoffs on my quad
[2484.79] Koel: and and i'm wondering why i'm seeing like vibrations in my footage i'm like oh well
[2491.75] Koel: yeah that would probably do it i know i know i'm like i'm like wait a minute there's supposed to
[2500.23] Koel: be two screws down here isn't there not and then i'm like hmm i wonder where those screws went so
[2506.07] Koel: i put i i still have to retest because i didn't actually realize that so what i like i looked at
[2512.63] Koel: my gopro hero five session footage from sunday and i saw that so then my real sort of like test
[2518.95] Koel: was i think on maybe whether it was like monday or tuesday or something what i ended up doing was
[2524.39] Koel: i put the hero 11 mini back on and i have a control basically where i did a i did a flight
[2531.75] Koel: test with no stabilization like a while ago um and i was looking at that footage no stabilization
[2539.59] Koel: with the hero 11 mini i said perfectly smooth no issues no jitter nothing like that so um whatever
[2546.71] Koel: then so then my test on on tuesday or whatever was okay i'm doing hero 11 mini no stabilization
[2555.03] Koel: and again it flew it still flew great and it was relatively smooth but when you zoom in on the
[2560.79] Koel: footage yeah you see a slight little bit of this so then i'm like okay well these are sort of older
[2566.47] Koel: props i hadn't really crashed with them but like maybe some minor crashes so then okay next i
[2571.27] Koel: changed my props um still no stabilization um and then i did so then i did that flight then
[2578.79] Koel: for so i guess i did like a stabilization flight for the third one it was just a testing sort of
[2582.87] Koel: thing but i got it back there was wobble on the first one with the old props there was still a
[2588.07] Koel: little bit of wobble on the second one with the new props and that's when i discovered that the
[2593.51] Koel: two screws yeah literally two screws missing so it was um yeah it was a dickhead moment basically
[2602.71] Koel: where it's like we've all done it because i've been flying that quad like for a while actually
[2610.79] Koel: like in like bandos and construction sites in crazy places and like i mean i've been getting
[2616.31] Koel: good footage out of it but yeah i think that uh i don't know man when i went back and i flew with
[2621.27] Koel: the hero 5 session it felt so good like it flew so nice like you don't you're not seeing that stuff
[2628.79] Koel: in the when i'm flying or whatever but in the hd cam footage i was but now that i know those
[2634.79] Koel: screws are loose now the real test again is okay now the screws are back hero 5 session

[2815.03] Frank: knitting together a big quilt uh so you know there's there's like quite a range of things i
[2820.71] Frank: think i'll go to the quilt area in the evening uh and there is yeah like just this it's all
[2829.99] Frank: volunteer run by people who don't do events as their day job it's like and so everyone who goes
[2837.35] Frank: volunteers for a bit basically it's it's very good um it's good fun but yeah so i'd emailed

[2851.11] Frank: big circus tents can we have a circus tent to fly some whoops in and they went yes sure uh we'll

[2991.35] Frank: something and and yeah so then it's like we have to make it an outfit so someone sort of ended up

[3020.15] Frank: called mikey who actually knew how to fly tiny loops well uh like there's there's a bunch of us
[3026.39] Frank: there and we're like dawdling around like you know vibrating around barely taking off all that
[3032.87] Frank: kind of stuff and there's a guy who clearly like races regularly so he's so but yeah well
[3038.47] Frank: i haven't explained this we had borrowed at ht zero event vrx nice and i had uh my vision mixer to
[3050.15] Frank: get all the outputs from that and stick it up on the projectors so we could show you know live
[3056.15] Frank: so so people could be waving at themselves on the big screens and everything
[3059.75] Frank: and uh yeah so we uh very lucky have mikey there who i believe works for great scott's
[3068.55] Frank: great scott gadgets who make a lot of interesting radio stuff including the hack rf which i took to
[3075.91] Frank: well diono um it's they do some very nice things i didn't realize this at the time otherwise i
[3082.95] Frank: would have pestered him for more information about a lot of stuff nevermind he was he was very good
[3088.79] Frank: flying tiny boots around and showing it off uh there was people coming up and talking about
[3095.27] Frank: all the stuff that they had there's people that have built like big wooden copters there was
[3099.91] Frank: talk about tricopters and the what flight controller stuff to get those going uh there was
[3107.67] Frank: uh a bunch of kids brought their little sort of toy ones that didn't have any video on it but
[3113.03] Frank: they were flying those around the circus tents as well and there was just loads of drones
[3117.99] Frank: everywhere and everyone was just wondering it out and enjoying it it looked cool from all
[3123.59] Tony: the photos you put on Instagram i was like oh i may go you there next time but is it the same
[3129.75] Frank: place every time uh for the last few it has been and i think they want it to be as well because
[3135.19] Frank: they've so they've got they've bought and paid for 40 kilometers of fiber optic to be installed
[3144.31] Frank: from the nearest town into this field so that they have that is so nerdy they have something
[3150.63] Frank: like 40 40 something gigs worth of uh internet into the field and there there's there's a telephone
[3161.03] Frank: network there's a there's a power network there's a you know internet there so you test the
[3169.75] Frank: those sizes there was dancing uh there's there's a swap shop where you can uh dump a load of stuff
[3178.87] Frank: and pick up a load of stuff and sort of pay what you think it's worth to charity and uh it turns
[3186.07] Frank: out that a field full of nerds also had a field full of uh uh geiger counters and noticed when
[3196.15] Frank: all of a sudden there was an uptick in radiation in the field because someone had left some uh
[3203.43] Frank: smoke detection like the calibrators for smoke detectors there were there were two radioactive
[3210.23] Frank: sources from from these calibration machines left in the swap shop and it got picked up and the uh
[3217.75] Frank: there were some people there that do work at the power station and and they came in and dealt with
[3223.11] Frank: that um i mean it wasn't really like no one was gonna die but still it was like there was
[3231.99] Frank: enough radiation that people noticed uh and and came and dealt with it was that girls
[3241.27] Frank: yes it was yes okay um yep something you don't want to speak about there frank

[3308.07] Frank: what what is wrong with you uh there was but if you've if you've seen the end the glastonbury
[3313.91] Frank: and you see all the all the tents and rubbish there was there was one tent left behind this time
[3320.15] Frank: and uh within hours the the the the mass of people had collected like the worked out the
[3329.99] Frank: tickets where they've been uh identified their devices got pictures of where they weren't like

[3344.07] Frank: they put the entire like 2,999 people were rapidly finding out they're gonna be on the
