=====================================

[0.0] Jack: Hello and welcome to another episode of Let's Drone Out that is solely sponsored by
[39.33] Jack: Stephen. This show and next week's show are solely brought to you by one person.
[48.29] Stephen: Hey I also have to my hello. And the product that I will be sharing with you this week is
[54.85] Jack: nothing. Stephen, is there any sort of like products you've got a message for our listeners?
[62.45] Stephen: No, I just thought what have you got a list of demands? Let's keep it going. I mean if I'm
[69.01] Stephen: going to say anything all I can say is like right now I'm really enjoying messing around with lots
[73.41] Stephen: of LEDs. You ever see those LEDs on drones like Jack's got a little circuit board. This is what
[79.33] Stephen: it looks like when you get 256 of them but wait I haven't just got 256. I've got a thousand of them
[88.05] Stephen: so I've been tying those together and having lots of fun.
[92.45] Stephen: I have some. It's like that but 200 times more, Cole.
[97.41] Jack: After the show I'll be putting an LED back onto my board after Frank took us to the tower of pain.
[105.73] Stephen: Well we have walked out with everything in one piece. I think that's commendable.
[111.73] Frank: You're just feeling chuffed with yourself because you landed where you took off.
[115.25] Stephen: I know I told you to dive down through a tower with analog VTX surrounded by brands but you know.
[127.73] Jack: I haven't even pulled any of my right this hang on right this is not good.
[133.33] Jack: Uh you want to try it out.
[138.61] Jack: You're joined by a master and Andrew's Frank.
[143.89] Jack: Hello uh the man will have must ask the sponsor of tonight's show right.
[157.25] Jack: We're grateful. Cole's back in Canada.
[161.41] Jack: Hello.
[163.57] Jack: And I'm bright until I fly. Hello.
[167.09] Jack: Hello.
[168.93] Jack: Also known as Steven's Bitch from now on.
[175.57] Jack: We might as well swear you're paying for it so if you got any rude word get him out.
[181.41] Stephen: He's giving us a discount so you can't swear too much because that would that would you know rather
[187.49] Stephen: be mean on his discounted rates that he's doing. I'm just glad we carry up to to the um Chris
[193.41] Stephen: Rosser show. I think that would be good to have.
[197.09] Jack: Yeah I am I am trying to convince uh we Tim Tim might sponsor us for a bit.
[205.57] Jack: I need to pass on the details I need to.
[208.37] Stephen: Well also just join our Patreon. We have spots on the Patreon.
[211.81] Stephen: If you like this and you like listening to it I'm sorry to break the harsh like reality to you
[217.73] Stephen: through these curtains but it does cost money to actually get audio hosted. For some bizarre
[223.65] Stephen: reason you can put video online and YouTube or RAM advertising down your throat but if you want
[229.01] Stephen: a nice clean audio feed and you don't want to hear people talking about selling whatever flavor of
[234.29] Stephen: the month crap there is then there are very few options so it'd be really awesome if people could
[239.81] Stephen: join the Patreon if you like it. Vote with your wallets and we would love that.
[244.93] Jack: Yeah we're way cheaper than uh uh YouTube premium.
[249.17] Koel: We're just cheap full stop. I mean let's do it around the bush here.
[253.73] Koel: I think the real question is why would anybody like this? I'm just kidding.
[260.77] Koel: I I'm I'm totally joking uh join give us your money we need it now immediately.
[266.61] Stephen: Yeah we're running a website and uh SoundCloud apparently also takes their slice and then to
[272.77] Stephen: actually get it hosted on platforms you kind of need either to be a well-behaved vicar or something
[280.69] Stephen: or have an editor in hand who can remove anything that might be in the least bit inflammatory so
[285.33] Stephen: that whatever pedants that host those platforms where you get your podcasts will pass it on to you.
[289.97] Frank: Zach please.
[295.33] Frank: But you got you got home safe then Cole.
[298.37] Koel: I am home. I am in my humble abode and suddenly said he wants to see a cluttered room behind me.
[305.89] Koel: Well there is some clutter. It's just it's hiding behind my hand in motion as well.
[312.37] Stephen: We were doing running around the room with Cole before the show started it's quite impressive.
[317.41] Koel: Yeah yeah I'm home. I'm still very tired. I haven't fully um
[326.45] Koel: haven't fully gotten enough sleep yet because I think I basically was getting roughly
[331.49] Koel: four to six hours of sleep for like two weeks and like sometimes less sometimes slightly more.
[340.93] Koel: But uh yeah I'm alive. I'm here. I didn't die in a plane crash so that's great.
[347.97] Koel: Very glad to hear it. Yeah very glad to hear it.
[351.49] Frank: You have the four hours of sleep where it's dark and Jack is asleep.
[357.17] Koel: Yes yes which is rare. Yeah I mostly blame my my sleep uh pattern Bon Jack.
[365.73] Koel: But it was perfectly adjusted to Canada. I don't know what you're on about.
[369.57] Koel: You know what it wasn't too bad to adjust. I was basically on Canada time the whole time
[376.05] Jack: with just less sleep. Yeah and I've got a photo of Frank that he's so unflattering.
[383.65] Koel: Paul Frank looks ruined. Jack is constantly getting like the worst photos of
[389.01] Koel: unknown to mankind of the Lester and O crew and just sharing them like they're like
[395.33] Stephen: cookies. I don't think he did too bad. I mean they're at least in focus. He didn't like you know
[401.09] Stephen: but people have taken photos of Jack while his arse is hanging out and he still crapped over
[405.81] Stephen: picking stuff up so you know. That's true. That's true. He had some some combat.
[411.25] Jack: Giveth, taketh, lord of master fangeth.
[419.97] Frank: The photo that Jack took of me uh as as we parted ways having done
[427.01] Frank: some significant amount of driving. I think we put a I think we put a thousand miles on my car.
[433.57] Stephen: Really? Wow. Yeah. Where did you get to after we uh we hung out then? Not that far.
[442.13] Frank: A lot of going down country lanes and coming up against drunk driving farmers going at some pace
[449.89] Frank: around blind bends. This is very exciting. We gave Paul the full countryside experience.
[456.61] Koel: Yeah it's like oh yeah we're just we're gonna go around this corner that we can't see anything
[460.61] Koel: and then all of a sudden this other vehicle is gonna go around this corner but stay in our lane
[464.93] Koel: and like nonchalantly just oh hey how's it going? Sorry guys. He went to the left of us in a hedge.
[474.61] Stephen: Yeah yeah and then there was lines. That is pretty much the only reason why modern cars
[481.89] Koel: still have four ones is driving like that country lanes. Yeah I was I was I was uh very
[490.61] Koel: uh nervous at that moment. He wouldn't let me drive him anywhere at night from then on.
[497.65] Stephen: Do you not have that type of road in Canada then like you get out to the countryside?
[501.09] Stephen: Is it not just turning to single tracks with people hooting along at silly speeds? The the
[506.13] Koel: weird thing is is that we like we definitely have like the two-lane roads. We don't really have like
[513.89] Koel: the quote-unquote two-lane roads that are really only one lane.
[518.85] Koel: And we also the two-lane like country roads you guys have them where it's just like completely
[524.05] Koel: surrounded by like huge bushes and hedges. Like like if you're like half the way off the road
[530.37] Stephen: dude because that that hedge has been there since you know the medieval times it's in the
[535.89] Stephen: doomsday book and someone owns that and they're very clear about owning exactly that up to the
[540.53] Stephen: corner and so you have to do the 90 degree bend like with no turning circle right around the
[545.65] Koel: corner of the fields and then on. Yeah see it was like no wonder it takes so long to get anywhere
[551.49] Koel: in the UK because your roads are like here in Canada our roads are kind of like this like
[557.17] Koel: at least where I live it's like you know it's like this you guys are like up and down and turn
[562.61] Frank: around and it's like yeah you showed us the map of like uh the area where it's just like a grid
[571.25] Frank: system even in the rural areas there's just an enormous like highway grid system yeah like yeah
[577.33] Frank: we do not have that yeah it's not there's not some logical like oh just keep driving in that
[582.77] Stephen: direction. I've seen some big countries where the roads are so long and so straight they actually
[587.57] Stephen: like step over to deal with the fact that the earth is actually round and they just step and
[594.13] Koel: like you know to try and correct. Yeah that was that's one thing that I don't know like
[600.69] Koel: how you guys do it but it's like we don't that's that's the problem yeah I don't know how you deal
[607.17] Koel: with it I guess if that's why it takes so long to get places it's like oh it's only it's only
[611.73] Koel: a 50 mile car journey like oh that should only take you know 50 minutes right no
[621.09] Jack: I think I think again I think it went wrong with the Romans they came over here built straight
[626.77] Jack: roads and we were like we're not having any of that and then we kind of corrected in the other
[631.49] Jack: way of like just admit it's like someone's dumped a plate of spaghetti everywhere and just yeah good
[638.69] Koel: lot pretty much yeah that was one thing I had to sort of get used to I don't know if I the weird
[644.85] Koel: thing is I still never like because my brain is like okay we drive on the right hand side of the
[649.41] Koel: road and you're driving on the left side of the car is that right yes so while I was there I'm
[655.41] Koel: like okay every time I get in the front seat I'm driving still but I'm the passenger and then
[662.61] Koel: yeah that was weird and I still didn't know like which way to look if I was like gonna walk across
[668.05] Koel: the street I was like still like wait which way is the car coming from I don't know I don't
[672.45] Stephen: understand check next time calls around get one of those kids steering wheels and put it in your car
[677.25] Koel: on his side so he feels better yeah but that was my thing it was like like I literally said it it
[683.01] Koel: was like oh okay I'm getting in the passenger seat I'm driving which means like because that's what
[687.65] Jack: my brain works like that's the side that I get in constantly fighting to get in to the passenger
[694.37] Koel: yeah I'm getting into the passenger seat in the UK but I'm actually gonna drive and it's
[700.45] Koel: like no that's that's not the right side well everyone's still here that's the main thing
[705.73] Stephen: um yeah we tell people about all the flying that you did yeah yeah definitely but except before
[712.37] Koel: we do that um one thing I need to uh I need to address here one thing that I was I was very
[722.13] Koel: concerned by and confused by and I learned that this is not a thing to be confused or concerned
[727.89] Koel: about but it is this thing that you guys refer to as the washing up bowl or washing up bin
[736.29] Stephen: I subscribe to this philosophy I just wash everything out of the tab
[739.81] Koel: what the hell is the washing up bin you have a bowl you have a sink right there that is the
[744.61] Stephen: freaking washing up bin I think it's I don't know maybe it predates the invention of plugs I have no
[752.29] Koel: jack's ready to fight me um okay see I can understand at like at Frank's current situation
[759.09] Koel: he you know his sink is not the finalized state yet so he needs some kind of sink and bowl to
[766.85] Koel: you know do some washing up which is which is that's another thing you guys call it the washing
[772.29] Koel: up and then you have washing up liquid isn't it just the dishes you're doing the dishes
[778.45] Koel: I have used it on clothes when I was a student
[783.73] Koel: so whatever okay I'm I'm like gonna piss off all of let's turn out watchers by saying these things
[789.73] Koel: but it's fine I've come to terms with the fact that doing the dishes is doing the washing up
[794.29] Stephen: yes okay um it does work on clothes but don't put too much in or it really frothy
[801.57] Frank: don't put the washing up in the washing machine that's not what that's for
[804.45] Koel: oh gosh yeah so many weird little things that like
[810.85] Koel: you wouldn't think of the differences between countries so so okay divided by a common language
[816.37] Koel: so Stephen you do not prescribe or subscribe to the washing up bowl you said no I think it's
[821.65] Koel: fact admirable don't like skanky bowl yeah thank you thank you I'm like I'm like I'm like okay
[829.97] Koel: there's a bowl inside the sink but the sink is the bowl so what is happening here anyways
[837.33] Stephen: it's okay I survived no no one called to like Legionnaires disease or anything so that's no
[843.49] Koel: I I ended up doing dishes in the washing up bowl so it's fine I I've I've acclimatized yes I
[853.41] Koel: bent over to the UK washing up bowls yeah
[859.57] Koel: see that see Richard Warwick in the chat says if you're washing up cups it's definitely not
[863.65] Koel: dishes but here in North America it's fake the dishes is a generalized term that we use for all
[870.13] Stephen: the tops of the utensils in the in the uh well I've never heard um North Americans don't refer
[876.45] Stephen: to cutlery I don't know what the word is yeah we say cutlery you say cutlery utensils cutlery
[883.97] Jack: just different words cousins with their hands and their extra sick finger yes
[892.45] Koel: yeah it's just it's tomato tomato basically but yeah it's pretty it's just it's weird that
[898.61] Stephen: there is such a difference but yeah well you know bring an Australian into the mix and watch the
[904.53] Koel: party unfold yeah but but I guess onto the the flying though I kind of derailed the flying
[911.97] Koel: topic there yes the flying the flying was freaking awesome like like we did more flying
[923.33] Koel: in uh like 10 days span probably than anybody should ever do in a lifetime
[931.25] Koel: I mean that's that's an exaggeration but like I mean we counted up didn't we fly like 10 locations
[938.13] Koel: in like a couple days 11 locations in like less than a handful of days probably yeah yeah got
[945.17] Jack: around yeah you still have a drone a bit together still have my drones awesome you were 11 spots
[952.61] Jack: I was at 10 and Frank was at nine wow it's both me and you flew a Rudy so yeah oh yes
[963.49] Jack: I didn't fly at the Abbey where you two did yes
[972.69] Koel: uh Robert Orleb said Cole how was the long range not the 70 meters one but the real long range
[979.17] Koel: I cannot confirm nor deny any uh anything beyond 70 meters
[984.37] Frank: sorry you're outside the UK now Cole you're safe yeah I did 71 meters 71 whole meters
[993.25] Stephen: so are we rounding to feet or something uh 100 feet anyway it's 400 feet is the altitude limit
[1001.17] Frank: 500 meters is one of the distance limits that has been visually unaided but it can't be more than
[1008.53] Koel: something something something exactly yeah but yeah the the flying was great 11 locations and um
[1016.77] Koel: um there were there was a couple of them that were like I basically was like I'm I'm not gonna fly
[1023.97] Frank: because um I am just like there were some hardcore proximity flying spots uh I've got the impression
[1034.37] Koel: you weren't weren't too keen on well I don't mind some proximity I don't mind bandos I don't mind
[1041.17] Koel: like construction sites and stuff like that but like when you say hardcore proximity like you
[1047.25] Koel: really mean hardcore proximity because like like like when you have roughly like you know
[1054.93] Koel: an arm's length between like a window and then just an entire amount of bushes uh you know
[1064.61] Koel: when when your ability to land the back where you took off is basically impossible because you
[1069.97] Stephen: have an entire canopy of trees come on I got back through the trees went up and come around
[1076.37] Stephen: well you've just got a fancier fancier chord I guess you don't want to lose it well yeah I
[1082.45] Koel: there were I think there were two spots particularly that I was like
[1088.05] Koel: I'm gonna fly around and look at this location I don't know if I'm going to fly through said
[1094.53] Jack: location but even steven poor analog quads and then when he was finished flying them he didn't
[1099.65] Stephen: even bother picking them back up oh I had a couple of uh good flies with them one of them
[1108.93] Stephen: still on fr sky and I thought it was on e LRS which fucks me somewhat until I realized the
[1113.17] Stephen: receiver was way way bigger than I thought it would be but yeah so back on fr sky with the old
[1118.53] Stephen: deviation radio and uh not the original analog goggles but flying an analog yeah it still worked
[1125.97] Stephen: it was doable as long as I didn't go more than that 15 feet away from myself because I don't
[1130.21] Stephen: trust fr sky further than that but uh little QA QA mini QA with like 2.4 inch props on I think
[1138.61] Jack: that was the first uh carbon fiber quad I got yeah nice Frank you know uh planes on fr sky
[1148.61] Frank: I think haven't you yeah yeah yeah I've just got so many fr sky receivers that yep they they still
[1157.09] Frank: are around they still exist because you know if I'm flying line of sight fr sky does perfectly well
[1164.05] Jack: in a bit of foam war or anything yeah zero where were you last week mate we gave you a shout out
[1172.29] Jack: well I did I remember you existed and we were like I can't believe number one mod wasn't there
[1179.89] Jack: for the 10 year yeah they were there for the first show giving us links correcting us talking bollocks
[1188.37] Jack: and being like no this is the real documentation for this you guys are idiots and then Frank took
[1194.61] Jack: over and then Frank attacked strings and we were just like he was just working
[1203.57] Stephen: happy marionettes Frank has nothing to say on this he's he's hoping hopefully he just passes
[1213.41] Koel: I do have to say um you guys have as much as the UK and I pretty much everyone I've spoken to from
[1221.97] Koel: the UK would agree that the that your country is a sh** hole um it's a very beautiful sh** hole
[1228.85] Koel: um and it's not all a sh** hole but apparently everybody from there likes to refer to the UK
[1235.73] Koel: as a sh** hole and and uh yeah I think you've spent too long around the giant development from
[1240.45] Stephen: not much space I guess that's the main problem so that the urban bits are a bit grotty but there's
[1245.89] Stephen: still some nice countryside if you get out and about and there's still some stuff
[1249.49] Jack: the Australian person I met today said that she enjoys being able to complain a lot more
[1258.53] Stephen: yeah it's liberating in a way
[1261.97] Koel: yeah you well it's weird because like I feel like not every human from the UK is a grumpy bastard
[1270.61] Koel: but I do feel like there are that there there may or may not be some grumpy bastards in the
[1275.97] Koel: less thrown out team jack
[1283.49] Koel: but you know what it I actually really enjoy it I really enjoyed it and I I already do miss it
[1288.13] Koel: to be honest I miss hanging out with you guys already and uh and it was like yeah it was it
[1294.05] Koel: was cool it was like I got to I mean I didn't I didn't go around UK all that much like we were
[1299.25] Koel: mostly you know along the coast along the coast like like sort of localized area there but um
[1307.01] Stephen: I wonder if the edits gonna take gotta get in there and ask why are we gonna see the footage
[1312.61] Koel: in like a f**king year sorry like I'm I'm I'm not even done my footage from Taiwan yet like I
[1320.77] Koel: have I've barely scratched the surface on that so I'm already like six to eight months behind
[1325.89] Jack: everything yeah Frank walked me so much bit of skin uh from my toes are coming off
[1336.61] Jack: things it's not a whole total I say you're fine
[1340.53] Frank: I feel like we didn't I didn't go too far I mean there was there was the quarry that didn't
[1347.49] Frank: countryside yeah the quarry that wasn't as disused as I was hoping it was uh that we had to bail on
[1354.29] Frank: uh but other than that I don't think we did too badly oh it's just I don't go out anywhere you've
[1361.49] Jack: actually like even the trip to the local shop would have done it Frank I think here's a little
[1368.13] Koel: here's a little teaser guys nice um I think I think what Jack um it was dealing with was uh
[1379.97] Koel: some sweaty foot syndrome and walking and socks and shoes yeah that's shoes do look a lot like
[1386.13] Stephen: shoes he's chosen to be as close to his slippers as possible
[1390.77] Stephen: and that might not be something for walking so that's nice there wasn't it I think that's
[1395.49] Stephen: when you were trying to avoid seagulls but you've got a lovely view there yep yeah those I
[1401.57] Koel: there was a string well there was a line that I was flying and like there was literally
[1405.89] Koel: like five in a row dive bomb attempts of seagulls at my quad and I was just like
[1413.73] Koel: all right I'm coming home I'm like I'm not even landing I'm coming back to Canada no I'm just
[1419.73] Stephen: kidding yeah it's terrifying when you see birds like street diagonal down in front of you and
[1423.73] Koel: you're like oh they don't like me it's not very well the other weird part though is like
[1431.97] Koel: some like some of the seagulls were chill and they weren't flying that fast and they were even
[1435.17] Koel: I have a shot where like I was tracking a seagull from like a you know a reasonable distance but
[1440.61] Koel: it almost looked like a 3d render could have probably like slow and perfect it was moving
[1444.37] Stephen: it was kind of weird but yeah it was like someone moving a little sprite across the screen just
[1449.49] Stephen: dragging it sideways and then the basket tries to like dive down in front of you
[1456.29] Stephen: the camera oh I think you want to look at this guy well it's like they're coming you're flying
[1463.01] Koel: like you're flying this way and you see them like kind of like coming this way towards you
[1466.85] Koel: and then they're like you like you're like whoa okay no thank you none of that right over the sea
[1475.97] Frank: but uh because yeah after the the 10th year show uh that was on the Thursday night on the on the
[1482.93] Frank: Friday we took you to watch some flying instead of do some flying yes yeah we did that was really
[1490.45] Koel: cool that was my first time being a spectator at an air show and not working um and that was we had
[1498.21] Frank: call it tree as well from frank yeah we did which we tried to get so we went to eastbourne uh eastbourne
[1506.93] Frank: air show or airborne as they like to call it uh we tried to get to show center and where all the
[1513.17] Frank: like the pa tenoy stuff is and sort of where everything's going on and where everything's
[1517.81] Frank: aimed at but turns out when there's like 250 000 people it's it's quite hard to get there
[1525.17] Frank: so yeah it's a million people really that's a massive version it's yeah it's it was very well
[1533.65] Frank: it helps that it's free so lots of people just go to the town and so it was quite hard to get to
[1539.65] Frank: the middle uh so we ended up being basically up on the road by beachy heads and sort of going down
[1546.21] Frank: to the beach by there uh i'm watching it from there which was very peaceful and it was still
[1550.77] Frank: quite busy but uh obviously we couldn't hear the commentary so i was having to remember
[1556.45] Frank: as much of the commentary as i could remember of each act and trying to work out what they'd be
[1560.61] Frank: saying and trying to keep a bit of a running commentary on to give give uh both guys a bit
[1566.69] Frank: of a air show experience even though we were a mile out yeah no you you know what frank if if the
[1576.93] Koel: if you were on the if you didn't have a microphone in the and the speaker or you did
[1581.41] Koel: i thought it was a professional top tier uh commentation there thank you like and as and
[1588.37] Koel: on our left you will see the in there like like he really he was even doing the voice
[1596.77] Koel: like he wasn't just talking like a normal frank voice he was putting on like the and as you see
[1604.69] Jack: and in the red corner he did he did lose his when there was a flat heart that was the only
[1612.53] Jack: time you didn't stay professional yeah you were outraged and it took a while for us to like
[1620.21] Jack: coax him down yeah explain someone's beach heart like donkey goal we had this beautiful blue sky
[1628.21] Frank: like no clouds at all and and the red arrows didn't i don't think did their full show i think
[1633.57] Frank: they did a sort of semi-flat show i was like there's you could have done your full full display
[1638.69] Frank: there's no reason to go flat on there usually it's when there's clouds that mean they can't go too
[1643.81] Frank: high they sort of limit some of the maneuvers come on guys pull the stock down a big lunch
[1651.65] Frank: yeah well it's usually the night before with them all right that's about said the banner
[1659.09] Jack: any of you's or opinions are solely something something may not reflect the view of
[1666.13] Frank: reality yeah and then uh so on the way back from the air show we took the opportunity as
[1679.89] Frank: we were there to go past seven sisters and stop at the birthing gap and go down the bottom of
[1686.85] Frank: the seven sisters cliffs so big white cliffs um between eastbourne and brighten sisters i was
[1694.29] Stephen: wondering what places there are to fly two stops down the victoria line from where i am
[1700.53] Frank: yeah i'm asking it being that scenic no these are the the the the cliffs between yeah around beachy
[1708.21] Frank: head between eastbourne and brighten there's there's a group of cliffs called the seven sisters um so
[1713.89] Frank: we went down the beach at the bottom of that and once we'd walked past people not wearing many
[1720.85] Frank: clothes or any clothes potentially yeah um and got far enough all down the beach away from them
[1726.77] Frank: that we felt we could get cameras back out uh we we multiply responsibly and responsibly
[1736.37] Frank: unlike some people yeah which i don't know uh do we nah i think we i think we should
[1751.65] Frank: oh you know glass houses and all yeah uh turns out although the air show had stops not everyone
[1760.29] Frank: was aware of this fact the the notam was over so we were perfectly clear to be flying where we were
[1766.45] Frank: flying we were flying perfectly legally and responsibly uh but some manned aircraft decided
[1773.33] Frank: there to have a go at uh copying one of the acts uh from the air show uh quite any bits fall off
[1781.65] Frank: no it looked fantastic it was as the sun was setting it like they were much lower than any
[1788.85] Frank: of the air shows we actually allow anyone to do anything they were very close it was great yeah
[1795.81] Koel: it was cool and it was nice but it was like what are they doing here and why are they this low and
[1802.45] Frank: why are they right in front of us and and it was it was so unexpected it uh took far
[1809.89] Frank: long than it should have done to communicate this uh acts to yes anyone who may or may not have been
[1816.93] Koel: flying at the time yeah it was like oh all of a sudden we hear these sounds oh we see these
[1822.77] Koel: things what is happening oh now they're gone yeah that we enjoyed it yeah there's there may
[1832.77] Jack: or may not be some good footage we'll we'll never know yeah that's why no mor's were ever submitted
[1840.77] Jack: it's weakfully approved of
[1842.21] Frank: jokes that was a was an interesting evening yeah it was very nice
[1857.79] Frank: after all that excitement we got some kebab well what are you gonna do back in canada and you
[1866.11] Jack: can't live on continual kebab every night i don't know i'm like actually he nearly went again
[1875.55] Stephen: you know you can get those grills in your house you can get a little you can even get you used
[1880.19] Stephen: to have clockwork ones just put it in the corner of the kitchen and see but like i don't know the
[1886.91] Koel: seasoning that was used i don't have the chili the hot sauce i don't understand how this works
[1893.15] Jack: it would give him pots and extra chilies and stuff but of course they do it's kebab shop you
[1900.19] Stephen: just they're like yeah we have a whole bunch of stuff you're on the shelf in your face
[1904.83] Jack: yeah and they didn't call him boss they called him coal boss coal boss
[1911.07] Jack: speaking honestly yeah yeah first thing comes with i i do miss it i i'm like wait till rosie
[1922.62] Koel: hears about this i i need i need a kebab i'm like literally like at night i'm like
[1928.62] Koel: like i'm like in my bed like what the cold shakes and uh yeah having withdrawal from kebabs
[1938.06] Stephen: i am just or just purging your system of that all that sweaty lamb grease
[1943.42] Koel: he's chicken only that's all chicken really chicken sheesh or whatever chicken
[1949.02] Stephen: okay i thought you went the whole vlog and got lamb which is the um the heavy weight option no
[1953.82] Jack: jack on that one i tried to i tried to get in on the uh the mixed grill but he
[1961.1] Stephen: chicken fish is what i always go for as well with that yeah like tons of uh peppers and usually
[1966.3] Jack: the purple cabbage as well quite like that frank was outraged frank was like all that culture in
[1972.38] Frank: Brighton and he's eating kebab well i mean it's the kebabs fine but it was the same kebab shop
[1979.98] Stephen: they're like right next to jack i imagine jack might jack might have researched this in the past
[1985.18] Stephen: and probably touched the flats next to the best kebab shop at Brighton no jack wanted to bring
[1991.26] Koel: me to the best kebab shop in Brighton supposedly but i saw the prices and i said
[1997.5] Frank: so it's it's just the first kebab shop that cole went to became the kebab shop for the entire
[2003.26] Koel: trip yeah i went there like five that you know i actually left them a google review the other
[2007.26] Koel: day earlier today and i was like yeah i posted a photo of what i would get i was like i went here
[2015.02] Stephen: five times in like a week span i don't understand how this can be different to what people have in
[2020.06] Stephen: other countries i've just accepted it as one of these facts of life like that this is just what
[2024.46] Stephen: you have we might we might maybe you just don't go to like the turkish district in your town or
[2029.58] Koel: wherever that is well that's the thing the so shout out to naive kebab in Brighton England
[2039.98] Koel: yeah on the drive or something uh yeah so he closed the address yes uh
[2048.14] Koel: i would say you know if if you guys want to collaborate or you want to sponsor a canadian
[2052.94] Koel: let me know well-priced great food great service yeehaw mother not yeah so um yeah i i they say it's
[2065.98] Koel: a persian kebab shop and like what does that mean exactly it means it's effectively turkish
[2074.38] Stephen: is it okay same as persian i don't think persian doesn't it was persian one of those areas
[2079.82] Stephen: it feels like a very very very regional line question to be okay quite a lot you go down
[2086.78] Stephen: to Greece and over and like it's like drinking anise or perno and that stuff it's like spread
[2092.7] Stephen: across an entire region and there might be small regional variations but you know it just comes
[2098.46] Stephen: from that part of the world like the same hummus is all over the middle east and some countries
[2104.54] Stephen: are laughably claimed they invented it but no one's really saying that with straight face see
[2108.86] Koel: the thing is for me is like we have like shawarma places here where it's like lebanese shawarma
[2114.06] Koel: abgani this but like i haven't gotten i don't know if we have a persian one if that is a thing
[2121.66] Koel: i mean i don't know i'm confused somebody help me or as i can tell it was just kebab shop it's
[2127.5] Frank: just that's just what kebab shop is huh i'm so confused i mean i am
[2135.02] Koel: um yeah yeah it it's um i mean it's it literally says it on their sign persian cuisine so like
[2144.38] Koel: i am on the hunt for persian cuisine apparently i i think the thing that i like the most is like
[2152.06] Koel: a the pickled peppers uh also their hot sauce and their seasoning i i bet you it's very easy
[2159.98] Stephen: are excellent the pickled peppers are actually maybe you go to catering supplies or certain
[2164.94] Stephen: food shops but they're pretty tricky to find yeah also well i just found a place on i've
[2172.98] Stephen: bought a lot of pickled peppers in the past trying to find that style and i've ended up
[2176.42] Stephen: with a lot of other pickled peppers that weren't quite what i was looking for so
[2181.54] Koel: well i found a place now in my city that it says that they are persian
[2185.94] Koel: they're also on the other side of town so i'm sad about that
[2190.98] Frank: but who knows we'll see we we drove from like eastbourne to hove specifically for the york
[2201.46] Frank: about i feel like you can you can make the trip across town yes that's totally true yeah
[2208.66] Koel: that's totally fair and actually there's another one around here i swear i know where it is oh my
[2216.34] Stephen: it's actually this much of an impression it's it's it's place in uk culture is kind of what
[2222.74] Stephen: the kind of really solid meal that you'd have when it's late at night and you've probably had
[2227.14] Stephen: a couple of beers and and yeah some of it can be quite healthy but it's just got reputation for
[2232.66] Frank: being like the thing that will fill you up you know yeah is is the thing you blame for feeling
[2239.46] Stephen: unwell after 10 points but yeah and it probably made the beer a whole lot better for you than
[2246.34] Frank: minus about but apart from the kebab yes we we spent the saturday not droning
[2255.3] Frank: that's right you'd been droned out well and you're speaking of its past tense but
[2260.98] Stephen: how many cycles did you put through the packs is another question because frank rocked up with a
[2264.98] Stephen: set of new fun flies and i'm wondering how many charges those got in over the week must be quite
[2272.1] Koel: a few yeah i i do not actually know i couldn't i couldn't actually think of that but i am still
[2280.34] Koel: i i was and i am still what could be referred to as droned out um but yeah frank you were saying
[2288.74] Frank: on the saturday we yeah jack started disassembling one of my quads on the on the dining table yeah
[2296.74] Frank: of course unprompted uh but other than that we went and saw a film and we
[2306.5] Frank: went and saw the sites of gilford yes there's more than one yeah there's two uh we saw both of them
[2315.46] Frank: wow uh yeah we saw gilford castle and st catherine's lock uh i didn't realize there's a castle in
[2321.38] Frank: gilford neither did i until fairly recently which having lived for a few years i probably
[2327.78] Frank: should have known about yeah can you fly it probably could do if you with that key but uh
[2334.5] Frank: we just went and took pictures because it was sunset and quite pretty yeah it was very pretty
[2340.18] Koel: i was it was one of the it was weird because that day it was like super ugly and gray and and
[2345.3] Koel: typical uk weather out and then we went to the movies and then when that was done like
[2351.3] Koel: we went outside there was like there was like let there be light jesus was like actual weather
[2358.1] Frank: yeah yeah pretty much the classic wait half an hour and you'll get new weather yeah
[2366.26] Frank: uh and so that then inspired a rekindling of a plan to go to waverly abbey which has been the
[2375.94] Frank: plan earlier in the week and it hadn't happened but then with this lovely sunset and lovely light
[2384.02] Frank: and all of this and all of a sudden we were like oh we should go to a thing because we were chasing
[2391.14] Frank: down the sun at that sunset to go get places before it got too dark we were literally like
[2397.14] Koel: almost running down the street we're like yeah we gotta get there we gotta get there yeah yeah
[2402.74] Frank: yeah uh just to get to the the pretty bit yeah so then that i was like okay we're we're going
[2411.62] Frank: to fly waverly abbey we're going to go and do that spot that we'd we died up yes and we we're
[2418.74] Koel: going to do it first thing on the sunday morning before anyone's awake before anyone's there
[2426.74] Koel: the sun will be up but that's about it not many other people so so we went and it was it was
[2432.58] Koel: perfect we had what one dog one or two dog walkers and they didn't care and we didn't
[2439.38] Koel: we didn't harass them at all we were nice and respectful humans as usual yeah yeah we couldn't
[2445.86] Frank: have gone any later definitely we were there uh i can't even remember what time we were there
[2453.22] Frank: it was early um yeah we had a couple of dog walkers sort of that didn't bother us and we didn't
[2462.66] Frank: bother them another dog walker stood by the gate and was just watching us for a while and decided
[2468.9] Frank: to take another route and circle back later but that was that was sort of the limit of
[2476.02] Frank: the people there and then by the time we left and you know packed up and left it was all
[2481.94] Frank: opening up again and people were turning up and all of that sort of stuff was happening so
[2486.58] Frank: we we definitely couldn't have been any any later but on the saturday night as we were putting this
[2491.14] Frank: plan together and jack immediately was like no count me out of this this is not it's not a jack
[2499.06] Frank: plan so we we we left jack sound asleep and yeah it's in just making a question it sounds like you
[2507.86] Koel: fell in love cold no i just found a i just found a local spot that might might have a rival for
[2516.74] Koel: right hove um yeah yeah yeah jack was fast asleep snoring away and counting sheep and and uh
[2527.54] Stephen: you're counting your pennies i'm wondering if you can creep out to get the third kebab of the night
[2534.1] Koel: jack i know you know it's like when when i'm in hove or when i when i'm in the uk
[2539.06] Koel: i should say i don't count sheep i count sush kebabs my little friends lamb donners yeah yeah
[2551.78] Koel: the kebab shop dot ca yeah scribal is that a thing i'm gonna go to that website now
[2558.18] Jack: it's not a thing you should change koala fb to kebab
[2572.26] Stephen: what's kebab been doing in fact he was doing all these wacky frame designs and really quieting
[2577.06] Stephen: down oh kebab fb is a thing yeah he did uh he's a dentist and he did all these crazy frame designs
[2586.1] Stephen: just to see if they worked and uh he kind of he was mainly responsible for spreading the craze of
[2592.02] Stephen: toothpick quads the ultralight three inch props tiny little motors just enough frame to fly
[2599.86] Koel: so he was he designing toothpicks because he was eating kebab and then he had to use those for
[2605.3] Stephen: after i think that may have been a pun in there yeah a lot of his a lot of his frames uh are
[2611.38] Stephen: named after dental products ah fair enough oh he had a kid yeah there you are that'll do it yeah
[2622.61] Koel: it does seem like once this well this hobby does seem like it does you know chew you up and spit
[2629.49] Koel: you out like i do with a kebab we said i swallow it i don't spit it out um but um it does seem like
[2637.65] Koel: you there's a time frame in this hobby is there not it's like i mean maybe some people are in it
[2644.29] Koel: for the long run but in a way it does seem like you get in where a lot of people have gotten in
[2652.05] Koel: had fun other things in life happen and then they're just kind of done with the hobby basically
[2658.77] Koel: yes yeah that's a fascination i guess there's basically like a a ticking time bomb on this
[2665.09] Stephen: hobby for a lot of us i mean like even yeah i mean if you get really crazy about any hobby i guess
[2674.21] Stephen: especially one with quite a volatile community it can be draining i mean i've had the the energy
[2682.05] Stephen: kicks out of me by various discussions where i've like tried to help and got dragged into something
[2687.17] Stephen: and sort of spat out the other end and not really sure whether i've helped anything but you know
[2691.81] Koel: much more exhausted afterwards yeah well it is a quite involved hobby like it's not just
[2701.01] Koel: you go out and you play with your toy and you come home right it's it's the one good thing
[2704.85] Stephen: i've heard is it's way cheaper than doing all this crap with cars or car deals you know you're
[2712.21] Stephen: gonna spend a lot of money yeah and time yeah you can go through a lot more money on a racetrack
[2719.09] Koel: than you can in a day flinging quartz into walls yeah yeah well i mean as much as i love freestyling
[2727.97] Koel: and doing like tricks and bandos and stuff like that i prefer to fly than to repair or something
[2737.65] Stephen: that so like you know that's why i have a bunch of rc cars that are gathering dust because it's
[2747.33] Stephen: cars especially just all about repairs like anytime you you take them out you've got to clean them
[2753.89] Stephen: something will break stuff just rattles loose on rc cars even if you're quite gentle with them
[2760.37] Stephen: so quads are that kind of middle ground where you can fly them and if you treat them nice
[2765.09] Stephen: and land gently just put it back on the wall and it's good as good as new next time yeah yeah
[2772.69] Frank: having only four moving parts and no gears oh yeah the gears man i look at the gears and
[2779.41] Stephen: be like hmm that's lots of little bits of metal and plastic around this gearbox hmm yes
[2791.01] Stephen: and the alternative is to get like loads of lithium grease and jammer in there
[2795.49] Stephen: which is filthy what what have you got on the front something that really irks jack
[2801.73] Koel: have you got a chin brace well so the old bandage shape yeah was it place for paris no it's just
[2816.13] Koel: the thing is there were a bunch of times where i would like smack into walls yeah and i would
[2821.49] Koel: like wreck the the like it would start to delam on the front or whatever what 3d printings for
[2827.73] Jack: though just three yeah but he refuses to buy a 3d printer that's right very wise yeah you'd be
[2835.97] Frank: worried about a time sink into a ridiculous hobby look at that never buy a 3d printer bit of tapes
[2843.65] Koel: bit of a bunch of tape in there there we go perfect i've got printed out loads of stuff
[2850.93] Stephen: and i've taken jack's uh idea of getting dryer boxes and uh printing out little silica gel
[2858.93] Stephen: containers to put in them and i've put little moisture readers in all of them and turns out
[2865.41] Stephen: i can print things with far less hassle now i actually have dry filament so yeah yeah it's
[2870.45] Jack: unbelievable like how having wet filament can cause you all that stuff except mine are like
[2880.37] Koel: ble and exactly yeah jack inspired me to get some of these um but not for
[2890.93] Koel: anything that is drone related but yeah but i do have some now yeah i printed out a little
[2901.46] Stephen: business card embosser uh for my wife who wanted to do some crafty stuff with business cards so
[2907.14] Stephen: it's like a little a little gate roller system and you turn the handle and feed a business card
[2911.62] Stephen: through and the two rollers have custom patterns and you can print an embossed pattern onto a
[2916.34] Koel: business card nice she's interested in that zero zero i think we're i think you're onto something
[2923.3] Jack: here buddy i think we may or may not oh no the six spots are on it's always twit isn't it twitchy
[2932.1] Koel: sex spots twitchy sex spots um i was gonna say something what was it now um you were mocking me
[2939.54] Koel: because you use is it for the same reason that zero has it yes yes indeed i i've come home to
[2951.54] Koel: plants that are over six feet tall now woo wee yeah nice that's fun um but i have a slight
[2960.5] Koel: calcium deficiency but that's because they're hungry so eat them cheese they need to get some
[2966.82] Koel: food yeah just just grate some parmesan
[2976.1] Koel: that's a great idea steven i might have to do that i'll i'll call it uk cheese
[2984.42] Stephen: aha boom boom boom yeah if you can make it smell like kebab you know the other side
[2989.7] Koel: yeah about the david weed it is it's called koala koala kush coming right up yeah oh man
[3003.09] Koel: yeah it's like you know you know it's actually really sad i wasn't gonna tell you guys this but
[3008.93] Koel: i actually had a dream about like the balance of the other night i'm not even surprised at this
[3015.33] Stephen: yeah wow yeah i'm just surprised it was only only the one dream to be honest
[3024.05] Koel: well i didn't i didn't need to dream about it when i was there it was it was a real life
[3031.65] Koel: it was a real life scenario but oh man so i guess i the whole so we got together
[3045.74] Koel: twice everybody got together twice basically right we once we went to hidden valley once we did the
[3050.38] Koel: 10 year stream um did anybody have like well i guess for either the stream or the hidden valley
[3057.66] Koel: scenario day did anybody have any like standout memories that may have like you know stuck out
[3064.78] Koel: to you or they're like oh that was an awesome time or anything like that i've got some nice
[3069.74] Stephen: footage of like frank and curry arriving and like orbiting them as they walk down the path nice
[3076.62] Stephen: that's cool it's actually quite a long walk so you've got this big entrance way onto the hidden
[3080.94] Koel: valley and uh yeah it really lives up to its name it is a hidden valley like it is out of the way
[3089.18] Koel: yeah you cannot just like oh yeah go for a little you'll walk for 20 minutes and think oh no one
[3094.7] Stephen: else will get here and get you caught out put the battery in and someone's walking their dog like
[3099.66] Frank: how the hell did they do that i mean it is um i mean we talked a lot about it last week but
[3108.78] Frank: will on the quad bike oh yeah that's gonna be the highlight for me that was cool that was really
[3117.66] Stephen: cool yeah yeah he was racing around on a bike which he freely admitted didn't have brakes but
[3125.42] Stephen: that made it more fun not a bicycle a quad bike with no brakes yeah i saw curry's video it was
[3133.58] Frank: already got comments about how we should have been wearing uh a crash helmet like yeah this
[3139.1] Frank: did not have a crash helmet yeah the other thing was sort of the uh sort of the the added flexibility
[3153.74] Frank: around hidden valley that we never really explore like flexibility as in so there's the hill
[3163.34] Frank: where if you ever came to the mini air show where we had the uh team racing at hidden valley and
[3170.86] Frank: we had all the the the sort of the team pits areas uh up on the side of the hill um otherwise from
[3181.74] Frank: where we were standing sort of the hill opposite and uh me Tony and Cole went went up that hill
[3190.54] Frank: Cole to fly off from the sort of the top of the field on that hill and it was just a different
[3197.74] Frank: different perspective on on flying at hidden valley and it was only you know a couple of minutes walk
[3204.38] Frank: but it did make a big difference about where you could fly and how you could fly it yeah totally
[3211.02] Koel: different perspective for sure and like it's not just you know here where we're on the screen here
[3216.78] Koel: like normally that's i guess where everybody typically flies right well it took me so long
[3222.7] Jack: to convince them not to park right next to the window you wouldn't believe really oh god every
[3231.26] Koel: time yeah i mean it makes it does make sense to to be away from it that way you can actually
[3238.86] Koel: but you know it seems like people weren't using the the bando aspect a whole lot
[3245.58] Frank: no i mean when there's loads of people there as well like felt like flying the bando was a bit
[3253.02] Frank: access to requirements i mean there's loads of stuff going on all the time if you're there
[3257.66] Frank: with just a couple of people and sort of nothing much to fly around or do or talk about then
[3263.98] Frank: there's i feel like that's that's kind of more where that sort of stuff comes into play i don't
[3269.66] Jack: know yeah i mean now that the the main barn of it's full of hay as well oh yeah that's all you've
[3280.06] Stephen: got is that main window well jax didn't try and uh do any sheep shearing or uh
[3288.85] Stephen: filth attraction there wasn't actually any sheep in the shed last time but you managed to pick up
[3293.25] Stephen: the best part of her made blanket didn't you that was horrendous that was a couple years ago
[3300.61] Jack: wasn't it uh when was that yeah a year or two ago when i found out i was like i'm sure that wasn't
[3310.93] Jack: me and it turned out that my tyrannis was no longer accepting the full input it was just
[3318.29] Stephen: doing whatever the hell it wanted yeah that was you finally getting shots of the tyrannis
[3324.21] Stephen: after being like no i can fix it no i can fix it and you're like no screw this yeah it looks
[3330.93] Stephen: like htx is finally starting to uh deprecate some stuff as well with the new radio that curry
[3336.37] Stephen: turned up with he he rocked up with the new tx15 fancy color screen first h7 radio and it looks a
[3344.69] Stephen: lot like um they are actually going to be getting rid of some of the old f1 radios
[3350.69] Stephen: some of those are f1s and some of them are f3s and i think f1 is being dropped with this latest
[3356.61] Stephen: release of htx and uh an f3 at some point in the future maybe f4s at some point as well so um much
[3364.61] Stephen: like with quads as uh as time marches on and people try and cram more and more stuff into the firmware
[3370.77] Koel: um some of them are going to stop being supported but jack so you flying the the your boxer right
[3382.45] Koel: versus the tranis do you much prefer the boxer now or no the arm switch isn't in the right place
[3392.38] Jack: for me and there's not enough not enough three position switches for me to use it with wings
[3402.67] Jack: and stuff but i cannot bring out the t16s because of the weight and the you need a neck strap for
[3420.5] Jack: that radio that's not really negotiable you can't just call it it's just carrying it in the bag
[3426.98] Jack: i'm just like see the cost of it as soon as you used to mash switches off it you know you can't
[3434.42] Stephen: there were a bunch of knockoffs though right there were everyone from like isheen was was
[3439.62] Stephen: making that radio or something that was internally identical to the different label on the front right
[3446.18] Koel: yeah it is it is massive like every time i've used someone's
[3450.98] Koel: oh the jumper yeah every time that i've used someone or fluent on someone's quad that has a
[3455.38] Koel: radio like that i'm like all right i need to sit down and to place it i gotta place it on my lap
[3460.26] Koel: and i need to i'm not even holding it i'm just i'm just have my hands on the sticks because
[3465.06] Stephen: it's just but now it's got all the switches if you're obsessed with having absolutely every
[3469.06] Stephen: switch i think it it does get you that footprint and it's got a big enough footprint that you
[3474.5] Stephen: won't be hitting one switch when you're reaching for a different switch you know that's between
[3479.86] Stephen: them i challenge that but yes andioc recommends helio radio and that sounds familiar that sounds
[3489.54] Stephen: very familiar i think i've seen some of that stuff on aliexpress send us everything one day
[3496.58] Koel: andi i see it hello radio yeah it they look pretty cool i mean
[3503.7] Koel: it's a keo not hello i'm trying to see i think it's hello i see hello radio yeah i mean i like
[3511.3] Koel: the small like form aspect of like the i mean i fly crossfire so i that's why i fly the tango too
[3517.3] Koel: i mean yeah it doesn't have a million switches it doesn't have a big fancy screen but i mean you
[3523.62] Koel: don't really need that i guess if you're just flying like like if all you need is arm mode
[3531.38] Koel: return to home uh crash slip i mean yeah four switches does it for me i've got you've got a
[3540.18] Stephen: mode switch arm disarm beeper yeah and and crash flip that that's it and one of the nice things i
[3548.9] Koel: like about the tango too it also is like it doesn't have like i know a lot of guys like
[3553.78] Koel: the switches that stick out far like the big metal you know switches well that does make it a little
[3561.46] Stephen: i don't know you need a bigger case i think the tango too is one of the ones that's getting dropped
[3566.98] Stephen: oh no that was the the the gamepad one what was the fr sky x light yeah x light yeah yeah i wonder
[3575.14] Stephen: when the tbs tango three will come out if it will ever come out but apparently the x light had some
[3580.58] Stephen: light budget chips set in and so it's uh not long for this world by the time but yeah apparently
[3588.26] Koel: there's a new freesky twin x light transmitter 2.4 and have you ever seen that one it looks
[3598.06] Stephen: well the v14 from uh hello radio sky it looks nice it's just a mashup of words now hello this one
[3609.82] Jack: that's an interesting radio it looks expensive
[3613.58] Jack: tailspin knows where it's at oh that is old fr sky yeah
